Safety Information

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock or ﬁre, do

not use this fan with any solid-state fan speed control device.

It will permanently damage the electronic circuitry.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not

bend the blade arms (also referred to as ﬂanges), when

installing the brackets, balancing the blades or cleaning the

fan.

WARNING: Do not insert foreign objects between rotating

fan blades.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of ﬁre, electric shock or

personal injury, mount the fan to the outlet box marked

acceptable for fan support with the screws provided with the

outlet box.

CAUTION: To reduce the risk of personal injury, use only

the screws provided with the outlet box.

NOTICE: This fan includes a 190W limiter to comply with the

Department of Energy 2009 regulation. Lamping this product over

190W will cause this fan not to light. Please use bulbs with a total

wattage under the 190W regulation.

1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, ensure electricity has

been turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before

beginning.

2. All wiring must be in accordance with the National Electrical

Code “ANSI/NFPA 70-1999” and local electrical codes.

Electrical installation should be performed by a qualiﬁed

licensed electrician.

3. The outlet box and support structure must be securely

mounted and capable of reliably supporting a minimum of 35

lbs (15.9 kg) or less. Use only UL-listed outlet boxes marked

“FOR FAN SUPPORT.”

4. The fan must be mounted with a minimum of 7 ft. clearance

from the trailing edge of the blades to the ﬂoor.

5. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.

6. To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other

items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.

7. Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan

blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be

suitable for most cleaning.

8. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors

should be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the

outlet box. The wires should be spread apart with the

grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor

on one side of the outlet box and ungrounded conductor on

the other side of the outlet box.

9. All setscrews must be checked and retightened where

necessary before installation.

10. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation

is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may

not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must

accept any interference received, including interference that

may cause undesired operation.

Warning: Changes or modiﬁcations to this unit not expressly

approved by the party responsible for compliance could void

the user's authority to operate the equipment.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply

We warrant the fan motor to be free from defects in workmanship and material present at time of shipment from the factory for a period

of lifetime after the date of purchase by the original purchaser. We also warrant that all other fan parts, excluding any glass or acrylic

blades, to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of two years after the

date of purchase by the original purchaser. We agree to correct such defects without charge or at our option replace with a comparable or

superior model if the product is returned. To obtain warranty service, you must present a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase. All

costs of removing and reinstalling the product are your responsibility. Damage to any part such as by accident, misuse, improper installa-

tion or by afﬁxing any accessories, is not covered by this warranty. Because of varying climatic conditions this warranty does not cover

any changes in brass ﬁnish, including rusting, pitting, corroding, tarnishing or peeling. Brass ﬁnishes of this type give their longest useful

DUAL MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

This ceiling fan is supplied with two types of hanging assemblies: the

standard ceiling installation using the downrod with ball and socket

mounting, and the "close-to-ceiling" mounting. The "close-to-ceiling"

mounting is recommended in rooms with less than 8 ft. ceilings or in

areas where additional space is desired from the ﬂoor to the fan blades.

When using the standard downrod installation, the distance from the

ceiling to the bottom of the fan blades will be approximately 12 in. The

"close-to-ceiling" installation reduces the distance from the ceiling to the

bottom of the fan blades to approximately 9 in.

Once you have decided which ceiling installation you will use, refer to the

corresponding sections and procedures during the assembly period.

Where necessary, each section of the instructions will note the different

procedures to follow for the two types of installation.

To hang your fan where there is an existing ﬁxture but no ceiling

joist, you may need an installation hanger bar (QQ) (not included)

as shown above.

If your ceiling fan does not have an existing UL-listed mounting

box, then install one using the following instructions:

□ Disconnect the power by removing the fuses or turning off

the circuit breakers.

□ Secure the outlet box (PP) (not included) directly to the

building structure. Use appropriate fasteners and materials

(not included). The outlet box and its bracing must be able

to fully support the weight of the moving fan (at least 35

lbs.). Do not use a plastic outlet box.

The illustrations below show three different ways to mount the

outlet box (PP) (not included).

Installation

MOUNTING OPTIONS

WARNING: To reduce the risk of ﬁre, electric shock, or

personal injury, mount the fan to an outlet box marked

acceptable for fan support using the screws provided with the

outlet box. An outlet box commonly used for the support of

lighting ﬁxtures may not be acceptable for fan support and

may need to be replaced. If in doubt, consult a qualiﬁed

electrician.

NOTE: You may need a longer downrod to maintain proper

blade clearance when installing on a steep, sloped ceiling.

The maximum angle allowable is 18° away from horizontal. If

the canopy (C) touches the hanger ball/downrod assembly (E),

then remove the decorative canopy bottom cover (D) and turn

the canopy (C) 180° before attaching the canopy (C) to the

mounting bracket (A).

□ Remove the canopy ring (B) from the canopy (C).

□ Remove the two non-slotted mounting bracket screws

(BB) from the canopy (C), and loosen the slotted

mounting bracket screws (BB) on the canopy (C).

□ Remove the canopy (C) from the mounting bracket (A)

by turning the canopy (C) counterclockwise.

□ Remove the cotter pin (GG) and clevis pin (FF), and

loosen the two collar setscrews (JJ) from the motor

collar.

□ Take out the setscrew (II) located in the hanger ball

(RR), lower the hanger ball (RR) and remove the cross

pin (HH). Remove the hanger ball (RR) from the

hanger ball/downrod assembly (E).

□ Remove the ground lead (SS) from the downrod

assembly (E).

WARNING: Failure to properly install the cotter pin (GG)

could result in the fan loosening and possibly falling.

□ Carefully feed the motor wires up through the

downrod (TT). Thread the downrod (TT) into the collar.

□ Align the holes and replace clevis pin (FF) and cotter

pin (GG). Tighten the two collar setscrews (JJ).

□ Slip the coupling cover (F), canopy ring (B), and

canopy (C) onto the downrod (TT).

□ Carefully reinstall the hanger ball (RR) onto the

downrod (TT) and reinstall the ground lead (SS) onto

the downrod (TT), being sure that the cross pin (HH)

is in the correct position, the setscrew (II) is tightened

and wires are not twisted.

NOTE: If a longer downrod (not included) is needed, take

out the screw located in the hanger ball (RR), lower the

hanger ball (RR) and remove the pin (HH). Remove all three

pieces from the downrod and assemble them onto the new

longer downrod before proceeding to the downrod installa-

tion.

□ Remove three of the six collar mounting screws with

lock washers (KK) (every other one) from the collar on

top of the fan motor assembly (G).

□ Route the wires exiting the top of the fan motor

through the canopy ring (B) (make sure the slot

openings are on top), and then proceed to place the

canopy (C) and metal plate (OO) over the collar at the

top of the fan motor assembly (G).

□ Align the mounting holes in the bottom of the canopy

bly (G), and fasten using the three collar mounting

screws with lock washers (KK) previously removed.

□ Tighten the collar mounting screws (KK) securely.

WARNING: Failure to completely tighten the three collar

mounting screws (KK) could result in the fan becoming loose

and possibly falling.

□ Remove the canopy ring (B) from the canopy (C).

□ Remove the mounting bracket (A) from the canopy (C)

by loosening the four mounting bracket screws (BB)

on the top of the canopy (C).

□ Remove the two non-slotted mounting bracket screws

(BB) and loosen the slotted mounting bracket screws

(BB).

□ Remove the canopy bottom cover (D) from the canopy

counterclockwise.

□ Pass the 120-volt supply wires through the center

hole in the mounting bracket (A).

□ Attach the mounting brackett (A) on the outlet box

(PP) by sliding the mounting brackett (A) over the

screws provided with the outlet box. When using

“close-to-ceiling” mounting, it is important that the

mounting bracket (A) be level. If necessary, use

leveling washers (not included) between the mount-

ing bracket (A) and the outlet box (PP). Note that the

ﬂat side of the mounting bracket (A) is toward the

outlet box (PP).

□ Securely tighten the two mounting screws.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of ﬁre, electric shock or

other personal injury, mount the fan only to an outlet box or

supporting system marked acceptable for fan support and

use the mounting screws provided with the outlet box.

WARNING: The tab in the ring must rest in the groove of

the hanger ball (E). Failure to properly seat the tab in the

groove could cause damage to the wiring.

WARNING: The hook is only to hold the fan while attaching

wiring. Failure to hang as instructed may result in the tab

breaking causing the fan to fall. The hook must pass from the

inside to the outside of the canopy.

□ Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (G) up to the

mounting bracket (A) and seat the hanger ball (E) in

the mounting bracket (A) socket. Make sure the tab

on the mounting bracket (A) socket is properly seated

in the groove in the hanger ball (E). This will help to

balance the ceiling fan.

□ Carefully lift the fan motor assembly (G) up to the

mounting bracket (A) and hang the fan on the hook

provided using one of the holes at the outer rim of the

canopy (C).

Preparing the receiver and

remote control

If you feel you do not have enough electrical wiring

knowledge or experience, have your fan installed by a

licensed electrician.

This remote control unit is equipped with 16 code

combinations to prevent possible interference from or to

other remote units. The frequency switches on your

receiver (M) and remote control (N) have been preset at

the factory. Please recheck to make sure the switches on

the remote control (N) and the receiver (M) are set to the

same position. Any combination of settings will operate

the fan as long as the switches in the remote control (N)

and receiver (M) are set to the same position.

□ After checking the switches, insert the receiver (M)

into the mounting bracket (A) with the ﬂat side of the

receiver (M) facing the ceiling.

CAUTION: Do not use with a wall light dimmer switch.

WARNING: To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure

electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before wiring.

Making the electrical connections

Follow the steps below to connect the fan to your

household wiring. Use the plastic wire nuts (AA) with your

fan. Secure the plastic wire nuts (AA) with electrical tape.

Make sure there are no loose strands or connections.

Motor to receiver electrical connections:

□ Connect the black wire from the fan to the black wire

marked "TO MOTOR L" from the receiver (M).

□ Connect the white wire from the fan to the white wire

marked "TO MOTOR N" from the receiver (M).

□ Connect the blue wire from the fan to the blue

wire marked "For Light" from the receiver (M).

Receiver to house supply wires electrical connections:

□ Connect the black (hot) wire from the ceiling to

the black wire marked "AC in L" from the receiver

(M).

□ Connect the white (neutral) wire from the

ceiling to the white wire marked "AC in N" from the

receiver (M).

□ If your outlet box (PP) has a ground wire (green

or bare copper) connect it to the fan ground wires;

otherwise connect the hanger ball/downrod assembly

(E) ground wire to the mounting bracket (A).

□ Secure each wire connection with a plastic wire nut

provided with the electrical hardware.

□ After connecting the wires, spread them apart so that

the green and white wires are on one side of the

outlet box (PP) and the black and blue wires are on

the other side. Carefully tuck the wire connections up

into the outlet box (PP).

WARNING: Check to see that all connections are tight,

including ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire

nuts, except for the ground wire.

NOTE: The fan must be installed at a maximum distance of

20 ft. from the remote control for proper signal transmission

between the remote control and the fan's receiving unit.

CAUTION: Do not use with a wall light dimmer switch.

WARNING: The locking slots of the canopy (C) are provided

only as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly

unattended until all four canopy

mounting bracket screws

(BB) are engaged and ﬁrmly tightened.

WARNING: Make sure the tab on the mounting bracket (A)

properly sits in the groove in the hanger ball (E) before

attaching the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A) by

turning the canopy (C) until it drops into place.

WARNING: Locking slots of the canopy (C) are provided

only as an aid to mounting. Do not leave the fan assembly

unattended until all four canopy screws (BB) are engaged and

ﬁrmly tightened.

□ Slide the canopy (C) up to the ceiling. Make sure you

have placed the wires safely into the outlet box (PP).

□ Secure the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A)

with the four canopy mounting bracket screws and

lock washers (BB) included with your fan.

□ Slide the canopy ring (B) over the canopy (C) and

tighten by turning the ring (B).

□ Remove the fan from the hook on the mounting

bracket (A).

□ Secure the canopy (C) to the mounting bracket (A)

with the four mounting bracket screws with lock

washers (BB) provided.

□ Slide the canopy ring (B) over the canopy (C) and

tighten by turning the ring (B).

Assembly — Attaching the Fan Blades

□ Insert the blade (H) through the slot in the housing. Align

the holes in the blade (H), the blade support plate (I), and

the fan motor assembly (G) and secure with a blade

attachment screw and ﬁber washer (CC).

□ Repeat this procedure with the remaining blades (H).

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not

bend the blades (H) while installing, balancing the blades (H),

or cleaning the fan.

WARNING: Remove the three rubber packing mounts (UU)

from the fan motor assembly (G) and discard prior to

attaching the blades (H).

WARNING: Do not insert foreign objects between rotating

fan blades (H).

□ Remove one of the three light kit mounting plate

screws (LL) from the mounting ring (VV) and loosen

the other two screws. (Do not remove.)

□ Place the key holes in the light kit mounting plate (J)

over the two screws (LL) previously loosened from

the mounting ring (VV). Turn the light kit mounting

plate (J) until the light kit mounting plate (J) locks in

place at the narrow section of the key holes.

□ Secure by tightening the two mounting plate screws

(LL) previously loosened and the one (LL) previously

removed.

Assembly — Installing the Light Kit

CAUTION: Before starting installation, disconnect the

power by turning off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse

at the fuse box. Turning power off using the fan switch is not

sufﬁcient to prevent electric shock.

□ Remove one of the three light kit mounting screws

(MM) from the light kit mounting plate (J) and loosen

the other two screws (MM). (Do not remove.)

□ While holding the 14W LED light kit (K) under the fan

motor assembly (G), make the 2-pin wire

connections:

- White to white

- Black to black

□ Place the key holes in the 14W LED light kit (K) over

the two mounting screws (MM) previously loosened

from the light kit mounting plate (J). Turn the 14W

LED light kit (K) until the 14W LED light kit (K) locks in

place at the narrow section of the key holes. Secure

by tightening the two light kit mounting screws (MM)

previously loosened and the one (MM) previously

removed.

□ Raise the glass shade (L) up against the 14W LED

light kit (K) and secure it to the fan by turning the

glass shade (L) clockwise until snug. DO NOT

OVERTIGHTEN.

Operation

□ Install the 12V MN21/A23 battery (NN) (included) into the

remote control (N). To prevent damage to the remote control

(N), remove the battery if not used for long periods.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL HOLDER

□ Remove the two remote control holder plugs (EE) from the

remote control holder (O). Note that the plugs have unique

tabs that allows them to ﬁt only in one hole.

□ Attach the remote control holder (O) with the two remote

control holder mounting screws (DD).

□ Replace the two remote control holder plugs (EE) each into its

own hole.

□ Restore power to the ceiling fan and test for proper operation.

HI , MED, LOW buttons: set the fan speed.

OFF button: turns the fan off.

button: turns the light on or off and also controls the brightness

setting. Press and release this button to turn the light on or off.

Press and hold the button to set the desired brightness. The light

button has an auto-resume, it will stay at the same brightness as

the last time it was turned off.

Care and Cleaning

□ Check the support connections, brackets, and blade

attachments twice a year. Make sure they are secure.

Because of the fan’s natural movement, some

connections may become loose over time. It is not

necessary to remove the fan from the ceiling.

□ Clean your fan periodically. Use only a soft brush or

lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the ﬁnish. The plating is

sealed with a lacquer to minimize discoloration or

tarnishing.

□ (Optional) Apply a light coat of furniture polish to the wood

blades.

□ (Optional) Cover small scratches with a light application of

shoe polish.

□ Use water when cleaning. Water could damage the motor,

or the wood, or possibly cause an electrical shock.

□ Apply oil to your fan or motor. The motor has

permanently-lubricated sealed ball bearings.

of the blade rotation.

REVERSE SWITCH OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

The reverse switch is located on the top of the motor housing.

Slide the switch to the left for warm weather operation. Slide the

switch to the right for cool weather operation.

Warm weather - (Counterclockwise Direction) A downward air ﬂow

creates a cooling effect. This allows you to set your air conditioner

on a warmer setting without affecting your comfort.

Cool weather - (Clockwise Direction) An upward air ﬂow moves

warm air off the ceiling. This allows you to set your heating unit on

a cooler setting without affecting your comfort.

Troubleshooting

□ Do not connect the fan with wall mounted variable speed control(s).

□ Make sure the dip switches are set correctly.

□ Check that all blade and blade arm screws are secure.

□ Most fan wobble problems are caused when blade levels are unequal. Check this level by selecting a

point on the ceiling above the tip of one of the blades. Measure from a point on the center of each blade

to the point on the ceiling. Rotate the fan until the next blade is positioned for measurement. Repeat for

each blade. Measurements deviation should be within 1/8 in. Run the fan for 10 minutes.

□ Use the enclosed blade balancing kit if the blade wobble is still noticeable.

The fan wobbles.

□ Check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers.

□ Check the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing.

□ Check to make sure the dip switches from the remote control and receiver are set to the same

frequency.

□ Make sure all motor housing screws are snug.

□ Make sure the screws that attach the fan blade arm to the motor hub are tight.

□ Make sure wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch

housing.

□ Allow a 24-hour "breaking-in" period. Most noises associated with a new fan disappear during this

time.

□ If using the ceiling light kit, make sure the screws securing the glassware are tight. Check that the light

bulb is also secure.

□ Make sure there is a short distance from the ceiling to the canopy. It should not touch the ceiling.

□ Make sure your ceiling box is secure and rubber isolator pads are used between the mounting bracket

and outlet box.

The fan will not start.

The fan sounds noisy.

WARNING: Make sure the power is off at the electrical

panel box before you attempt any repairs. Refer to step 7

“Making the electrical connections” on page 13.

ADVERTENCIA: Para disminuir el riesgo de incendio o

dispositivo de control de velocidad del ventilador de estado

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones

personales, no dobles los brazos de las aspas (también

llamados “rebordes”) durante la instalación de los soportes,

compensación de las aspas o limpieza del ventilador.

ADVERTENCIA: No insertes objetos extraños entre las

aspas en funcionamiento.

usa sólo los tornillos incluidos con la caja eléctrica.

ADVERTENCIA: Para disminuir el riesgo de incendio,

descarga eléctrica o lesiones personales, monta el ventilador

sobre la caja eléctrica marcada como “aprobada como

soporte de ventilador” y usa los tornillos de montaje que

vienen con la misma.

AVISO: El ventilador incluye un limitador de 190w para cumplir con

la regulación del departamento de energía de 2009. Si coloca lámparas

en este producto con más de 190w la luz del ventilador no funcionará.

Utilice bombillas con un total de vatios inferior a 190w.

Sin embargo, no es posible garantizar que el equipo no provoque

interferencias en una instalación particular. Si este equipo

provoca interferencias perjudiciales a la recepción de radio o

televisión, lo que puede determinarse encendiéndolo y

apagándolo, es recomendable intentar corregir dichas

interferencias mediante una o varias de las siguientes medidas:

- Vuelva a orientar o cambie de lugar la antena receptora.

- Aumente la separación entre el equipo y el receptor.

- Conecte el equipo en una toma de corriente en un circuito

diferente al que el receptor está conectado.

1. Para disminuir el riesgo de descarga eléctrica, asegúrate de

que la electricidad ha sido apagada en el cortacircuitos o la

caja de fusibles antes de comenzar la instalación.

2. Todo el cableado debe cumplir con el Código Nacional de

Electricidad "ANSI/NFPA 70-1999" y con los códigos locales de

electricidad. La instalación eléctrica debe ser hecha por un

electricista certiﬁcado y caliﬁcado.

3. La caja eléctrica y estructura de soporte deben montarse de

forma segura y tener capacidad para sostener de manera

conﬁable un mínimo de 35 libras (15,9 kg) o menos. Usa

solamente cajas eléctricas aprobadas por UL marcadas como

“PARA SOPORTE DE VENTILADOR”.

4. El ventilador debe ir montado con un mínimo de 7 pies de

separación entre el borde trasero de las aspas y el piso.

5. Evita colocar objetos en la trayectoria de las aspas.

6. Para evitar lesiones físicas o daños al ventilador y otros

artículos, ten cuidado al limpiar o trabajar cerca del ventilador.

7. No usar agua o detergentes al limpiar el ventilador o las aspas.

Para la limpieza, será adecuado un paño seco para quitar el

polvo o ligeramente humedecido.

8. Después de concluir con las conexiones eléctricas, debes

voltear los conductores empalmados hacia arriba y empujarlos

con cuidado hacia dentro de la caja eléctrica. Los cables deben

estar separados, con el cable a tierra y el conductor a tierra del

equipo hacia uno de los lados de la caja eléctrica y el conductor

sin conexión a tierra hacia el lado opuesto.

9. Todos los tornillos colocados se deben veriﬁcar y ajustar donde

sea necesario antes de la instalación.

10. Este equipo cumple con lo establecido en la Parte 15 de la

Normativa FCC. Su funcionamiento está sujeto a las dos

INSTRUCCIONES DE MONTAJE DOBLE

Este ventilador de techo viene con dos tipos de ensamblajes de soporte: la

instalación de techo estándar con tubo bajante y bola y soporte de

montaje; y el montaje “cerca del techo”. El montaje “cerca del techo” se

recomienda en habitaciones con techos de menos de 2.44 metros de

altura o en áreas donde se desee espacio adicional entre el piso y las

aspas del ventilador.

Cuando uses una instalación con un tubo bajante estándar, la distancia

desde el techo a la parte inferior de las aspas será aproximadamente de

30.5 cm. La instalación “cerca del techo” reduce la distancia desde el

techo a la parte inferior de las aspas a 22.9 cm aproximadamente.

Una vez que hayas elegido el tipo de instalación en techo, adáptate a las

secciones y procedimientos correspondientes durante el período de

ensamblaje. Cuando sea necesario, cada sección de las instrucciones

indicará los diferentes procedimientos a seguir para los dos tipos de

instalación.

Para colgar el ventilador donde ya haya una lámpara pero

ninguna viga de techo, tal vez necesites una barra de instalación

colgante (QQ) (no provistas) como se muestra arriba.

Si tu ventilador de techo no posee una caja de montaje aprobada

por UL, instala una siguiendo las instrucciones a continuación:

□ Desconecta la energía retirando los fusibles o apagando los

cortacircuitos.

□ Fija la caja eléctrica (PP) (no provistas) directamente a la

estructura del ediﬁcio. Usa sujetadores y materiales (no

provistas) apropiados. La caja eléctrica y su soporte deben

sostener completamente el peso en movimiento del

ventilador (al menos 35 libras). No uses una caja eléctrica

de plástico.

Las ilustraciones a continuación muestran tres formas diferentes

de montar la caja eléctrica (PP) (no provistas).

ADVERTENCIA: Para disminuir el riesgo de incendio,

descarga eléctrica o lesiones personales, monta el ventilador

sobre una caja eléctrica marcada como “aprobada como

soporte de ventilador” y usa los tornillos de montaje que

vienen con la misma. Las cajas eléctricas utilizadas

comúnmente para el soporte de artículos de iluminación

pueden no servir como soporte de ventilador, y tal vez deban

reemplazarse. En caso de duda, consulta a un electricista

NOTA: Tal vez necesites un tubo bajante más largo para

mantener la altura mínima adecuada de las aspas al instalar

el ventilador en un techo inclinado. El ángulo máximo

permitido es de 18º de la posición horizontal. Si la cubierta

retira la tapa inferior decorativa de la cubierta (D) y gira la

cubierta (C) 180º antes de ﬁjarla (C) al soporte de montaje (A).

□ Retire el anillo de cubierta (B) de la cubierta (C).

□ Quita los dos tornillos sin ranura del soporte de

montaje (BB) de la cubierta (C) y aﬂoja los tornillos

ranurados del soporte de montaje (BB) en la cubierta

(C).

□ Retira la cubierta (C) del soporte de montaje (A)

girándola en sentido contrario a las manecillas del

reloj.

□ Retira el pasador tipo horquilla (GG) y pasador de

chaveta (FF), y aﬂoja los dos tornillos de ajuste de

collarín (JJ) del collarín del motor.

□ Retira el tornillo de ﬁjación (II) de la bola de soporte

(RR), bájala y retira el pasador transversal (HH). Quita

la bola de soporte (RR) del ensamblaje del tubo

bajante/bola de soporte (E).

□ Retira la cable de tierra (SS) del ensamblaje del tubo

de soporte (E).

ADVERTENCIA: Si no instalas correctamente el pasador

de chaveta (GG) es posible que el ventilador se aﬂoje y caiga.

□ Con cuidado, introduce los cables del motor hacia

arriba a través del tubo bajante (TT). Enrosca el tubo

bajante (TT) en el collarín.

□ A continuación, alinea los oriﬁcios y reemplaza el

pasador tipo horquilla (FF) y el pasador de chaveta

(GG). Ajusta los dos tornillos de ﬁjación del collarín

(JJ).

□ Desliza la cubierta del acoplamiento (F), el anillo de la

cubierta (B) y la cubierta (C) hacia el tubo bajante

(TT).

□ Con cuidado, vuelve a colocar la bola de soporte (RR)

sobre el tubo bajante (TT) y vuelve a colocar la cable

de tierra (SS) sobre el tubo bajante (TT). Asegúrate de

que el pasador transversal (HH) esté en la posición

correcta, el tornillo de ﬁjación (II) esté ajustado y los

cables no estén torcidos.

NOTA: Si necesitas un tubo bajante más largo (no incluido),

retira el tornillo de la bola de soporte (RR), bájala y retira el

pasador (HH). Retira las tres piezas del tubo bajante y

ensámblalas en un tubo bajante nuevo más largo antes de

continuar con la instalación de este.

con las arandelas de seguridad (KK) (intercalados) del

collarín de la parte superior del ensamblaje del motor

del ventilador (G).

tornillos de montaje del collarín (KK), el ventilador se puede

aﬂojar y caer.

□ Pasa los cables de suministro de 120 V a través del

oriﬁcio central en el soporte de montaje (A).

□ Instale el soporte de montaje (A) en la caja eléctrica

(

PP) deslizando el soporte de montaje (A) en los

tornillos suministrados con la caja eléctrica. Cuando

uses el montaje “cerca del techo” es importante que

el soporte de montaje (A) esté nivelado. Si es

necesario, usa arandelas niveladoras (no incluidas)

entre el soporte de montaje (A) y la caja eléctrica

(PP). Fíjate que el lado plano del soporte de montaje

(A) esté hacia la caja eléctrica (PP).

□ Ajusta ﬁrmemente los dos tornillos de montaje.

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de incendio,

descarga eléctrica o lesiones físicas, sólo instala el ventilador

en una caja eléctrica o sistema de soporte aprobados para

ventiladores y usa los tornillos de montaje que vienen con la

caja eléctrica.

ADVERTENCIA: La pestaña en el anillo debe encajar en la

ranura de la bola de soporte (E). Si la pestaña no se asienta

correctamente en la ranura, se puede dañar el cableado.

ADVERTENCIA: El gancho sólo es para sostener el

ventilador mientras se conectan los cables. Si no se cuelga

como se indica, puede romperse la pestaña, y el ventilador se

caerá. El gancho debe pasar de adentro hacia fuera de la

cubierta.

□ Levanta con cuidado el ensamblaje del motor (G)

hacia el soporte de montaje (A) y encaja la bola de

soporte (E) en el soporte de montaje (A). Asegúrate

de que la pestaña del soporte de montaje (A) encaje

bien dentro de la ranura de la bola de soporte (E).

Esto ayudará a compensar el ventilador de techo.

□ Con cuidado alza el ensamblaje del motor (G) hacia el

soporte de montaje (A) y cuelga el ventilador en el

gancho suministrado usando uno de los oriﬁcios en el

borde exterior de la cubierta (C).

ADVERTENCIA: Para evitar una posible descarga

eléctrica, asegúrate de que la electricidad esté apagada de la

caja de fusibles principal antes de realizar el cableado.

PRECAUCIÓN: No usar con un interruptor de pared

regulador de intensidad.

Si crees que no tienes suﬁciente experiencia o

conocimientos sobre cableado eléctrico, contrata a un

electricista con licencia para que instale el ventilador.

Esta unidad de control remoto tiene 16 combinaciones de

códigos para evitar posibles interferencias con otras

unidades de control remoto. Los interruptores de

frecuencia en tu receptor (M) y control remoto (N) han

sido preconﬁgurados en la fábrica. Revisa para asegurarte

que los interruptores del control remoto (N) y el receptor

(M) estén conﬁgurados en la misma posición. Cualquier

combinación operará el ventilador mientras el control

remoto (N) y el receptor (M) estén conﬁgurados en la

misma posición.

□ Después de revisar los interruptores, inserta el

receptor (M) dentro del soporte de montaje (A) con el

lado plano del receptor (M) mirando hacia el techo.

PRECAUCIÓN: No usar con un interruptor de pared

regulador de intensidad.

NOTA: El ventilador debe instalarse a una distancia mínima

de 6,1 m de la unidad transmisora para obtener una señal de

transmisión apropiada entre la unidad transmisora y la

unidad receptora del ventilador.

Sigue estos pasos para conectar tu ventilador a tu circuito

doméstico. Usa las tuercas de plástico para cable (AA) con

tu ventilador. Asegura las tuercas de cables (AA) con cinta

de electricista. Asegúrate de que no haya conexiones o

cables sueltos.

Conexiones eléctricas del motor al receptor:

□ Conecta el cable negro del ventilador al cable negro

marcado como "TO MOTOR L" (al Motor L) del

receptor (M).

□ Conecta el cable blanco del ventilador al cable blanco

marcado como "TO MOTOR N" (al Motor N) del

receptor (M).

□ Conecta el cable azul del ventilador al cable azul

marcado como "For Light" (Para la Luz) del receptor

(M).

Conexiones eléctricas del receptor a los cables de

alimentación del hogar:

□ Conecta el cable (positivo) negro del techo al cable

negro marcado como "AC in L" (Corriente Alterna en

L) del receptor (M).

□ Conecta el cable (neutral) blanco del techo al cable

blanco marcado como "AC in N" (Corriente Alterna en

N) del receptor (M).

□ Si tu caja eléctrica (PP) tiene un cable de conexión a

tierra (de cobre pelado o verde), conéctalo a los

cables a tierra del ventilador; de lo contrario, conecta

el cable a tierra del ensamblaje del tubo bajante/bola

(E) al soporte de montaje (A).

□ Asegura la conexión del cable con una tuerca plástica

incluida en los herrajes eléctricos.

□ Después de conectar los cables, sepáralos de manera

que los cables verde y blanco queden de un lado de

la caja eléctrica (PP) y los cables negro y azul del

otro lado. Mete con cuidado todas las conexiones

eléctricas dentro de la caja (PP).

□ Desliza la cubierta (C) hacia el techo. Asegúrate de

colocar los cables con cuidado dentro de la caja

eléctrica (PP).

□ Asegura la cubierta (C) al soporte de montaje (A) con

los cuatro tornillos de montaje y arandelas de cierre

(BB) incluidas con tu ventilador.

□ Desliza el aro de la cubierta (B) sobre la cubierta (C) y

ajusta girando el aro (B).

Montaje "cerca del techo"

□ Retira el ventilador del gancho del soporte de

montaje (A).

□ Asegura la cubierta (C) al soporte de montaje (A) con

los cuatro tornillos de montaje con arandelas de

cierre (BB) proporcionadas.

□ Desliza el aro de la cubierta (B) sobre la cubierta (C) y

ajusta girando el aro (B).

ADVERTENCIA: Asegúrate de que la pestaña del soporte

de montaje (A) encaje bien dentro de la ranura de la bola de

soporte (E) antes de sujetar la cubierta (C) al soporte de

montaje (A), girando la cubierta (C) hasta que encaje en su

lugar.

ADVERTENCIA: Las ranuras de cierre de la cubierta (C)

Cómo Montar las Aspas del Ventilador

□ Introduzca las aspas (H) a través de las ranuras de la

banda de centre. Alinee los barrenos de las aspas (H),

la placa de soporte para las aspa (I) a los barrenos en

el motor (G) y ﬁjelos en su lugar respectivo con los

tornillos y arandelas de ﬁbra (CC) proporcionados.

□ Repite este procedimiento con los aspas (H) restantes.

ADVERTENCIA: Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones

personales, no doblar los aspas (H) durante la instalación,

compensación de las aspas (H) o limpieza del ventilador.

ADVERTENCIA: Retira los tres soportes de embalaje de

goma (UU) del ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (G) y

deséchalos antes de montar los aspas (H).

ADVERTENCIA: No insertes objetos extraños entre las

aspas (H) en funcionamiento.

□ Retira 1 de los 3 tornillos del placa de montaje del kit

de luces (LL) del anillo de montaje (VV) y aﬂoja los

otros 2 tornillos. (No retirar)

□ Coloca los oriﬁcios tipo ojo de cerradura en la placa

de montaje del kit de luces (J) sobre los 2 tornillos

(LL) del anillo de montaje (VV) previamente aﬂojados,

gira la placa de montaje del kit del luces (J) hasta

que la placa de montaje del kit de luces (J) caiga en

su lugar en la parte estrecha de los oriﬁcios tipo ojo

de cerradura.

□ Asegura apretando los 2 tornillos del anillo de

montaje (LL) previamente aﬂojados y el que uno (LL)

se quitó previamente.

LED y la pantalla de vidrio

□ Retira 1 de los 3 tornillos de montaje del kit de luces

(MM) de los postes de la placa de montaje del kit de

luces (J) y guárdalo para uso posterior. Aﬂoja los

otros 2 tornillos. (MM) (No retirar)

□ Mientras sostienes el kit de luces LED de 14W (K)

debajo del ensamblaje del motor del ventilador (G),

cómo hacer las 2 pines conexiones de enchufe

polarizado:

- Blanco con blanco

- Negro con negro

□ Coloca los oriﬁcios tipo ojo de cerradura en el kit de

luces LED de 14W (K) sobre los 2 tornillos de montaje

del kit de luces (MM) previamente aﬂojados de la

placa de montaje del kit de luces (J), gira la placa del

luces LED de 14W (K) hasta que caiga en su lugar en

la parte estrecha de los oriﬁcios tipo ojo de

cerradura. Asegúrala apretando los 2 tornillos de

montaje del kit de luces (MM) previamente aﬂojados

y el que se quitó previamente.

□ Instale la pantalla de cristal (L), asegurelo al kit de

luces LED de 14W (K) girandolo en direccion de las

manecillas del reloj. No lo sobre apriete.

PRECAUCIÓN: Antes de empezar la instalación, corta el

suministro de electricidad, apagando el cortacircuitos o

retirando el fusible en la caja de fusibles. Cortar el suministro

de electricidad con el interruptor del ventilador no es

suﬁciente para evitar una descarga eléctrica.

Funcionamiento

□ Retira los dos tapones (EE) del soporte del control remoto (O).

Fíjate que los tapones tienen lengüetas únicas que les

permiten encajar únicamente en un sólo oriﬁcio.

□ Sujeta el soporte del control remoto (O) con los dos tornillos

de montaje (DD) del soporte del control remoto .

□ Vuelve a colocar cada uno de los dos tapones (EE) del soporte

del control remoto en suoriﬁcio respectivo.

□ Instala una batería MN21/A23 de 12V (NN) (incluida) en el

control remoto (N). Para prevenir daños al control remoto (N),

sacala batería si no va a usarse por largo tiempo.

□ Conecte la eléctricidad a el ventilador y conﬁrme que opera

debidamente.

Los bottones HI, MED, LOW: establece la velocidad del ventilador.

Boton OFF : apaga el ventilador.

El boton : Es para prender y apagar la luz, tambien se usa para

controlar la intensidad de la luz. Apriete y sostenga el boton hasta

obtener la intensidad de luz deseada. La luz cambiara

continuamente entre intensidad y oscuridad mientras que el boton

esté presionado. El boton de la luz está equipado para resumir con

la misma intensidad de luz que se uso la ultima ves.

Mantenimiento y Limpieza

□ Revisa las conexiones de soporte, soportes y accesorios

de aspas dos veces al año. Veriﬁca que estén seguros.

Debido al movimiento natural del ventilador, algunas

conexiones pueden aﬂojarse con el tiempo. No es

necesario desmontar el ventilador del techo.

□ Limpia tu ventilador con frecuencia. Usa solamente un

cepillo suave o un paño sin pelusas para evitar arañar el

acabado. El revestimiento está sellado con laca para

minimizar la decoloración u opacidad.

□ (Opcional) Aplica una ﬁna capa de pulimento para

muebles a la madera de las aspas.

□ (Opcional) Cubre los arañazos pequeños con una leve

aplicación de lustrador para calzado.

Hacer

□ Uses agua al limpiarlo. El agua puede dañar el motor o la

madera, o causar descargas eléctricas.

□ Apliques lubricador al ventilador o al motor. El motor

tiene cojinetes de bola sellados permanentemente

lubricados.

No hacer

NOTA: Espera a que se detenga el ventilador antes de

invertir la dirección de giro de las aspas.

Clima cálido - (Hacia la izquierda) Un ﬂujo de aire hacia abajo crea

un efecto refrescante. Esto te permite ﬁjar tu aire acondicionado

en una conﬁguración más alta sin afectar tu comodidad.

Clima frío - (Hacia la derecha) Un ﬂujo de aire hacia arriba mueve

el aire cálido lejos del techo. Esto te permite ﬁjar tu unidad de

calefacción en una conﬁguración más baja sin afectar tu

comodidad.

El Interruptor de Reversa está ubicado en la superﬁcie de la

carcasa del motor. Desliza el interruptor hacia a la izquierda para

funcionamiento en clima cálido. Desliza el interruptor hacia a la

derecha para funcionamiento en clima fresco.

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL

INTERRUPTOR DE REVERSA

□ No conecte el ventilador con un control en la pared de velocidad variable(s).

□ Compruebe que el interruptor oculto esté conﬁgurado correctamente.

□ Veriﬁca que todos los tornillos de las aspas y brazos de las aspas estén seguros.

□ La mayoría de los problemas de oscilación del ventilador se deben a que las aspas no están a un

mismo nivel. Veriﬁca este nivel seleccionando un punto en el techo sobre la punta de una de las aspas.

Mide desde un punto en el centro de cada aspa a un punto en el techo. Gira el ventilador hasta que la

próxima aspa quede posicionada para medir. Repite para cada aspa. Las desviaciones de la medición

deben estar dentro de 0,31 cm. Enciende el ventilador durante diez minutos.

□ Usa el kit de compensación de aspas adjunto si sigues notando oscilación.

El Ventilador oscila.

□ Veriﬁca fusibles o disyuntores principales y secundarios.

□ Veriﬁca conexiones de cables en línea al ventilador y conexiones de cables del interruptor en la caja del

interruptor.

□ Revise los interruptores de frequencia del receptor y transmisor, los interruptores de las dos unidades

debén de estar en las mismas posiciones. Cambie la frequencia para descartar que su ventilador tenga

interferencia con otra unidad.

□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos de la carcasa del motor estén ajustados.

□ Asegúrate de que los tornillos que unen el brazo del aspa del ventilador al cuerpo del motor están bien

ajustados.

□ Asegúrate de que las conexiones de tuerca de cable no choquen unas con otras o con la pared interior

de la caja del interruptor.

□ Permite un período de 24 horas de “adaptación”. La mayoría de los ruidos asociados con un nuevo

ventilador desaparecen en ese período.

□ Si usas el kit de luces de ventilador de techo, asegúrate de que los tornillos que sujetan el vidrio estén

bien ajustados. Veriﬁca que la bombilla de luz esté bien asegurada.

□ Asegúrate de que la cubierta esté a corta distancia del techo. No debería tocar el techo.

□ Asegúrate de que tu caja del techo esté bien segura y las almohadillas aislantes de goma se hayan

instalado entre el soporte de montaje y la caja eléctrica.

El ventilador no
