R Do not overload power outlets. This
can result in the risk of fire or electric

from the product by pulling it from

Operating safeguards
R Unplug the product from power
outlets before cleaning. Do not use
liquid or aerosol cleaners.
R Do not disassemble the product.
R Never put metal objects inside the
product. If metal objects enter the
product, turn off the circuit breaker
and contact an authorized service
center.
R Use this product to supply power
only to devices which can be
operated safely remotely. Do not

Cooking appliances, irons, or

large amount of heat. There is a
risk of fire, burns, and injury.
Power tools, electric machinery,
or other devices that could cause
injury and therefore must be used
under direct, careful observation.
Heating or cooling devices, or any
type of device which could cause
health risks, particular to the
elderly or to small children, and
therefore should be used only
when usage conditions can be
confirmed.
Medical devices. This product is
not intended to be used when
providing medical care.

personal medical devices, such as
pacemakers or hearing aids, to
determine if they are adequately
shielded from external RF (radio
frequency) energy. DECT features
operate between 1.92 GHz and
1.93 GHz with a peak transmission
power of 115 mW.

o not use the product in health
care facilities if any regulations
posted in the area instruct you not to
do so. Hospitals or health care
facilities may be using equipment
that could be sensitive to external
RF energy.

R The product should be kept free
from excessive smoke, dust, high
temperature, and vibration.
R The product should not be exposed
to direct sunlight.
R Do not place heavy objects on top of
the product.
R When you leave the product unused
for a long period of time, unplug the
product from the power outlet.
R The product should be kept away
from heat sources such as heaters,
kitchen stoves, etc. It should not be
placed in rooms where the
temperature is less than 0 °C (32 °F)
or greater than 40 °C (104 °F).
Damp basements should also be

Note:

ou can turn the power supplied to
the smart plug’s power outlet on and
off by pressing M

R When connecting a device with a
large AC plug, use a short extension
cord so that the AC plug of the
connected device does not block the
LED indicator/M N.
Note about connections
R The smart plug should be connected
to a vertically oriented or
floor-mounted AC outlet. Do not
connect the smart plug to a
ceiling-mounted AC outlet, as the
weight of the smart plug may cause
it to become disconnected.
R If the electric device connected to
the smart plug draws more than
10 A or 1,200 W of power, the smart
plug will turn off automatically.
R In the event of a power failure, the
smart plug may not turn back on
after power is restored. For this
reason, connecting refrigerators or
other devices that require constant
power supply should not be
connected to the smart plug.
R After connecting an electric device
to the smart plug, make sure the
smart plug is firmly connected to the
power outlet.

Registering the
smart plug
This procedure is not required for
d
evices that were included as part of
a bundle.
Before you can use the smart plug, it
must be registered to the hub.
If you purchased devices separately
(i.e., not as part of a bundle), you must
register each device to the hub.
You can register each device by using
the registration buttons or the [Home
Network] app.
Using registration buttons

Using the app
When you register the smart plug by
using the [Home Network] app, you
can assign a name to your devices and
group them by location. For more
information, refer to the User’s Guide
(page 9).
Wireless
c
ommunication
range
The wireless communication range of
each device in the system from the hub
is approximately 50 m (160 feet)
indoors and approximately 300 m
(1,000 feet) outdoors. Wireless
communication may be unreliable
when the following obstacles are
located between the hub and other
devices.
R Metal doors or screens
R Walls containing aluminum-sheet
insulation
R Walls made of concrete or
corrugated iron
R Double-pane glass windows
R Multiple walls
R When using each device on
separate floors or in different
buildings
Note:
R The LED indicator blinks in red if it is
out of range of the hub. In this case,
confirm all connections, including
those of the hub.

Testing the smart
plug
After you have installed the [Home
Network] app on your mobile device,
you can use your mobile device to turn
the smart plug on and off. For more
information, refer to the User’s Guide
(page 9).

home screen, tap [Smart Plug].
2 Select the [Individual] tab.
3 Tap the desired smart plug’s icon.
R Confirm that the selected smart
plug turns on and off when you
tap its icon.
Features available

Some of the features that are available
when using the [Home Network] app
are listed below. For more information,
refer to the User’s Guide.
Remote power on/off
You can turn the electric device on
and off remotely, even when away
from home.
Sensor integration
You can configure the system to turn
the electric device on when a sensor
is triggered. (Sensor required.)
Timer on/off
You can configure a timer to turn the
electric device on and off at the
desired times.
Excessive power notification
The smart plug can monitor the
power supplied to the connected
electric device. If overcurrent or

verwattage is detected, the smart
plug sends a notification to the
[Home Network] app.

If your product does not work properly because of a defect in materials or workmanship,
Panasonic Corporation of North America (referred to as “the warrantor”) will, for the length
of the period indicated on the chart below, which starts with the date of original purchase
(“warranty period”), at its option either (a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts,
(b) replace it with a new or a refurbished equivalent value product, or (c) refund your
purchase price. The decision to repair, replace or refund will be made by the warrantor.
During the “Labor” warranty period there will be no charge for labor. During the “Parts”
warranty period, there will be no charge for parts. This Limited Warranty excludes both
parts and labor for non-rechargeable batteries, antennas, and cosmetic parts (cabinet).
This warranty only applies to products purchased and serviced in the United States.
This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of a new product which was

indicador LED/M

Nota acerca de las conexiones de
alimentación
R El enchufe inteligente debe estar
conectado a un enchufe de corriente
orientado verticalmente o en una toma
de corriente alterna colocada en el piso.
No conecte el enchufe inteligente de
corriente alterna a una toma de corriente
montada en el techo, ya que el peso del
enchufe inteligente puede hacer que se
desconecte.
R Si el dispositivo eléctrico conectado al
enc
hufe inteligente consume más de
10 A o 1,200 W de energía, el enchufe
inteligente se apagará automáticamente.
R En caso de que fallara el suministro
eléctrico, es posible que el enchufe
inteligente no vuelva a encenderse
hasta que el suministro de energía se
restaure. Por esta razón, los
refrigeradores a conexión u otros
dispositivos que requieren del suministro
constante de energía, no deben
conectarse al enchufe inteligente.
R Después de conectar un dispositivo
eléctrico al enchufe inteligente,
asegúrese de que el enchufe inteligente
esté conectado con firmeza a la toma de
corriente.

Cómo registrar el
enchufe inteligente
Este procedimiento no es necesario para
unidades que son parte de un paquete.
Antes de que pueda usar el enchufe
inteligente, se debe registrar en el hub.
Si compró los dispositivos por separado (es
decir, no como parte de un paquete), debe
registrar cada dispositivo en el hub.
Puede registrar cada unidad mediante los
botones de registro o la aplicación [Home
Network].
Uso de los botones de registro
1 Hub:
Oprima y mantenga oprimido M
OTHER DEVICEN hasta que el Led
indicador parpadee lentamente en
verde.
2 Enchufe inteligente:
Oprima y mantenga oprimido M
N
hasta que el Led indicador parpadee
lentamente en verde (página 3).
R Cuando se ha completado el
registro, el hub emitirá un pitido
largo.
Nota:
R Para cancelar sin registrar el enchufe
inteligente, oprima M
N en el hub y
en el enchufe inteligente de nuevo.
R Si el registro falla, el hub emitirá varios
pitidos cortos.
Uso de la aplicación
Cuando registre el enchufe inteligente con
la aplicación [Home Network], puede
asignar un nombre a sus dispositivos y
agruparlos por ubicación. Para obtener más
información, consulte la Guía del usuario
(página 6).
Alcance de la
comunicación
inalámbrica
El alcance de la comunicación inalámbrica
de cada dispositivo en el sistema del hub
es de aproximadamente 50 m (160 pies) en
interiores y de aproximadamente 300 m
(1,000 pies) en el exterior. Es posible que la
comunicación inalámbrica no sea tan
confiable cuando se encuentran los
obstáculos siguientes entre el hub y otros
dispositivos.
R Puertas o pantallas metálicas
R Pare
des que contengan aislamiento de
aluminio
R Paredes de hormigón o hierro corrugado
R Ventanas de vidrio doble
R Varias paredes
R Cuando los dispositivos están en pisos o

Nota:
R Si el Led indicador parpadea en rojo, se
encuentra fuera de alcance del hub. En

Cómo probar el
enchufe inteligente
Después de instalar la aplicación [Home
Network] en su dispositivo móvil, puede
usarlo para encender y apagar el enchufe
inteligente. Para obtener más información,
consulte la Guía del usuario (página 6).
1 Desde la pantalla de inicio de la
aplicación [Home Network], toque
[Enchufe inteligente].
2 Seleccione la pestaña [Individual].
3 Toque el icono del enchufe inteligente
