IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS, SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
The following safety precautions should always be followed, to reduce the risk of electric
shock, personal injury or fire. It is important to read all of these instructions carefully
before using the product, and to save them for future reference or new users.
Read all instructions before use.
• The manufacturer is not liable for consequential damages or for damages to property or
persons caused by non-observance of the safety instructions and improper use of the
device.
• The device can be used by children from 8 years and above and by persons with a
physical, sensory, mental or motor disability, or lack of experience and knowledge
if they are supervised or instructed on how to use the device in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Only use the device for its intended purposes. Do not use the device for other
purposes than described in the manual.
• Do not use the device if any part is damaged or defective. If the device is damaged or
defective, replace the device immediately.
• The device is suitable for indoor use only. Do not use the device outdoors.
• The device is suitable for domestic use only. Do not use the device for commercial
purposes.
• Do not use the device in locations with high humidity, such as bathrooms and
swimming pools.
• Do not use the device near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
• Do not use the device in ovens or microwaves.
• Sterilize thermometer probe each time before use.
• Always wear a heat resistant mitten when touching the thermometer during or just after
use.
• Handle device with caution and attention. Take care when moving the probe into
position to avoid injury or damage due to pointed end.
• Do not touch probe with bare hands to avoid injury and burns.
• Do not immerse in liquid, or wet the thermometer unit.
• Device is not intended to handle wet environments and will likely get damaged.
• In any event of becoming wet, dry the device quickly as possible.
• Not suitable to be washed in dishwasher.
• Clean with a damp cloth avoiding detergents.
• Aggressive detergents will damage housing, probe and lead to damaging electronic
circuitry.
• Do not leave in heated environment, above stated operating temperature range.
• Device is not to be opened, except for battery compartment, to replace battery.
• Thermometer is not a service product. Request assistance from an electronic
professional for assistance if unit is not functioning correctly.
• Avoid excessive vibrations, forces, temperature and humidity levels in order to maintain
device in correct operating condition and have a suitable measurement output.
• Do not leave device probe in food whilst cooking. This is to be removed when
temperature is recorded.
