About these operating instructions
Congratulations on purchasing your new device.
You have selected a high-quality product. The operating instruc-
tions are part of this product. They contain important information
about the safety, usage and disposal of the product. Before
using the product, please familiarize yourself with all operating
and safety information. Use the product only as described and
for the specified range of applications. Keep these operating
instructions in a safe location. In addition, please pass these
documents on, together with the product, to any future owner.
Intended use
The wireless weather station shows you the inside and outside
temperature in degrees Fahrenheit (°F) or degrees Celsius (°C),
as well as the minimum and maximum temperatures. The inside
and outside humidity (%), as well as the minimum and maximum
values, are also shown. Also displayed are the recommended
ventilation time, indoor climate rating and indoor climate
changes.
The product is intended exclusively for private households, and
is not recommended for commercial use. Any use other than the
intended use is considered to be improper. The manufacturer
accepts no responsibility for damage caused by improper use
or repairs, unauthorized modifications, or the use of unapproved
replacement parts. The risk is borne solely by the user.

it is provided that they are being supervised or have been
instructed on how to use the device safely and are aware of
the potential risks. Children must not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance tasks may not be carried out
by children unless they are supervised.

Safety instructions for batteries
Mishandling the batteries can cause fires, explosions,
leakages, or other hazards! In order to handle batteries
safely, please observe the following safety instructions:
► Do not throw the batteries into a fire and do not subject them
to high temperatures.
► Do not open, deform, or short-circuit batteries, since this can
lead to chemical leakage.
► Do not attempt to recharge the batteries. Do not charge
batteries unless they are explicitly labeled as "rechargeable".
There is a risk of explosion!
► Never heat batteries in order to revive them.
► Check the condition of the batteries at regular intervals.
Leaking chemicals can cause permanent damage to the
appliance. Take particular care when handling damaged or
leaking batteries. Risk of acid burns! Wear protective gloves.
► Chemicals that leak from a battery can cause skin irritation.
In the event of contact with the skin, rinse with plenty of water.
If the chemicals come into contact with your eyes, rinse them
thoroughly with water, and do not rub them. Consult a physi-
cian immediately.
► Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children might put
batteries into their mouth and swallow them. If a battery has
been swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately. Also,
contact your local poison control center.

► Do not mix alkaline, carbon-zinc (standard), Ni-Cd (recharge-
able) or other types of batteries.
► Use only the correct type and size of battery indicated.
► Always insert the batteries the right way (observe correct
polarity); otherwise there is a risk that they could explode.
► Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior
to battery installation.
► If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time,
remove the batteries.
► Remove discharged batteries from equipment promptly to
avoid possible damage from leakage.
► Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time, taking
care not to mix old and new ones.
► If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using
the product and keep it away from children.

Operating instructions
Check the package for completeness and signs of visible dam-
age. If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as
a result of defective packaging or during transport, contact the
service hotline.
♦ Remove all parts from the packaging and remove all pack-
aging material.
► Do not allow children to play with the packaging materials!
Keep all packaging materials away from children. Risk of
suffocation!

First use
Requirements at the setup location
► When selecting the setup location, make sure the devices are
not exposed to direct sunlight, vibration, dust, heat, cold or
humidity.
► Do not set up the device near sources of heat, e.g. heaters.
► Mount the outdoor sensor within a maximum radius of 164 ft
to the weather station. Make sure there are no interfering ob-
stacles between the outdoor sensor and the weather station.
Otherwise, there could be transmission interference.

♦ Both the weather station and the outdoor sensor can be
hung up using the fixing lugs 9/t.
♦ Alternatively, the base q of the weather station can be
folded out for placement on an even, level surface.
Using the outdoor sensor for the first time
♦ Open the battery compartment oon the back of the
device by sliding the battery compartment cover pin the
direction of the arrow.
♦ Insert two type AAA batteries as indicated in the battery
compartment o.
♦ Then, close the battery compartment
o
. The indicator LED

lights up briefly, and the current temperature, humidity and
selected channel (e.g. CH 1) are shown on the display
e.
The indicator LED r then lights up once per minute, indi-
cating wireless transmission.
Using the weather station for the first time
♦ Open the battery compartment 0on the back of the
device by removing the battery compartment cover w.
♦ Insert three type AAA batteries as indicated in the battery
compartment 0.
♦ Then, close the battery compartment 0.
After a power supply has been connected, the display lights up
and quickly checks all display elements.

The weather station will now attempt to connect to the outdoor
sensor. On the display field for outdoors 3, the reception icon
above the channel display blinks.
If no outside temperature or humidity is shown within approx.
3 minutes, the weather station stops searching for a signal. The
reception icon turns off and the display field for outdoors 3
shows and . The system likely cannot detect a signal
due to structural conditions or because the sensor is too far
away.
If the device is unable to connect to the outdoor sensor automati-
cally, you can establish a connection manually:
♦ Press and hold the control surface
4 until the reception
icon on the display field for outdoors 3blinks.
♦ Press the TX button z to manually start the wireless signal
for the outdoor sensor.

Setting the time and measurement data storage
♦ Press and hold the control surface 5for about 3 seconds.
The hour indicator in the time display 2blinks.

If you choose the setting for 24-hour measurement storage,
the saved MIN and MAX values for temperature and humidity
are deleted each day at midnight. If you choose the setting ,
the data is saved permanently until you replace the batteries.
Displays in basic mode
After you have set the time and the weather station has received
the signal from the outdoor sensor, the device enters basic mode.
In basic mode, the weather station shows the following informa-
tion on the display:
The time display 2
By default, the time is shown in
12-hour format. In the time from
12:00 noon to 11:59 p.m.,
(Latin for "post meridiem"
= afternoon) will appear before the time. In the time from 12:00
midnight to 11:59 a.m., (Latin for "ante meridiem" = morning)
will appear before the time.

The display field for indoors 7
The inside temperature measured by the
weather station is shown with a precision of a
tenth of a degree. The temperature unit (for
degrees Fahrenheit) appears on the right. You
can also switch the temperature unit to
(degrees Celsius).
If
appears, the station has detected a temperature below the
measurement range of 14 °F to 122 °F (-9.9 °C to 50 °C);
indicates this range has been exceeded. The relative humidity
(RH) measured by the weather station is shown in % above the
temperature display. A recommended ventilation time and the
indoor climate rating are shown below the temperature.
Recommended ventilation time
Based on the temperature and humidity values inside and out-
side, the weather station provides a recommendation to open
(
) or close ( ) the window to improve the indoor climate.
Indoor climate rating
Based on the humidity value indoors, the weather station catego-
rizes the current indoor climate into three levels:
Humid. Humidity between 66% and 95%.
Optimal. Humidity between 45% and 65%.
Dry. Humidity between 20% and 44%.

Indoor climate change display 1
Using the recorded measurements (inside and outside), the
weather station calculates the change to the indoor climate that
can be expected. The symbols indicate how ventilating the room
would affect the indoor climate:
More humid. The expected increase in humidity is
5% or higher.
Constant. The expected increase or decrease in
humidity is 4% or less.
Dryer. The expected decrease in humidity is 5% or
higher.
The display field for outdoors 3
The outside temperature is shown
with a precision of a tenth of a
degree. The temperature unit
(for degrees Fahrenheit) appears
on the right. You can also switch the temperature unit to
(degrees Celsius).
If
appears, the station has detected a temperature below the
measurement range of –40 °F to 140 °F (–40 °C to 60 °C);
indicates this range has been exceeded. The relative humidity
(RH) measured by the outdoor sensor is shown in % above
the temperature display. In addition, the channel used by the
connected outdoor sensor is shown (e.g.
).

Displaying the maximum/minimum tempera-
ture/humidity
After connection to the power supply and the outdoor sensor
has been established, the maximum and minimum values for
temperature and humidity are automatically captured and stored
by the weather station.
♦ In basic mode, press the control surface
6 once. In
both display fields (3 and 7), the icon appears next
to the humidity and the highest measured value for both
inside and outside is shown.
♦ If you press the control surface
6 in basic mode, the
icon appears and the lowest measured value for both
inside and outside is shown.
♦ After about 5 seconds, the current values for inside and
outside are automatically shown once more.
♦ Press and hold the control surface
6 for about
3 seconds
to delete the stored values.
Switching between temperature units
Upon delivery, the temperature unit is set to degrees Fahrenheit
( ) by default.
♦ In basic mode, press the control surface
5 to switch
between temperature units ( or ). The display switches
for both the inside and outside temperature.
♦ Press the °C/°F button u to change the temperature unit
on the outdoor sensor display e.

Background lighting
The background lighting on the display turns off after about
5 seconds to save battery power.
♦ Press the LIGHT button 8 to turn on the display back-
ground lighting for about 5 seconds.
Battery replacement indicator
When the battery icon appears in the display field for inside 7,
you should replace the batteries in the weather station as soon
as possible (see also the chapter Using the weather station for
the first time).
When the battery icon
appears in the display field for outside 3
or in the display e of the outdoor sensor, you should replace the
batteries in the outdoor sensor as soon as possible (see also the
chapter on Using the outdoor sensor for the first time).

Switching the channel
Switching the channel on the outdoor sensor
You can choose between 3 different channels. Channel 1 is set
by default.
♦ Open the battery compartment o on the back of the
device by removing the battery compartment cover p.
♦ Choose a channel by moving the channel switch i to
CH 1, CH 2 or CH 3.
♦ Press and hold the control surface
4 until the reception
icon
on the display field for outdoors 3 blinks.
♦ Press the TX button z to manually start the wireless signal
for the outdoor sensor. After the signal is received, the
temperature and humidity are shown in the display field
for outdoors 3on the new channel.

Switching the channel display on the weather station
When the weather station has received the signal from the out-
door sensor, it automatically shows the corresponding channel.
However, you can also manually set the display of the different
channels.
♦ Press the control surface
4 repeatedly to switch
between displays
(only show channel 1), (only
show channel 2),
(only show channel 3) and
(rotate between all channels in a loop).
Only the values from outdoor sensors that are connected to the
weather station are shown. If you use multiple outdoor sensors,
choose a different channel for each outdoor sensor.

Troubleshooting
Unable to connect to the outdoor sensor.
■ There are interfering obstacles or other sources of interfer-
ence, such as concrete walls or other wireless transmission
devices between the weather station and the outdoor sensor.
Move the device to another location and try again.
■ The outdoor sensor is too far away from the weather station.
Move the two components closer together. "Visual contact"
between the outdoor sensor and weather station often
improves transmission.
■ The batteries in the weather station or outdoor sensor are
dead.
Replace the batteries.

Cleaning
► Ensure that no moisture penetrates into the device during
cleaning to avoid irreparable damage to the device.
► Do not use caustic, abrasive or solvent-based cleaners.
They can attack the surfaces of the device.
♦ Clean the surfaces of the device with a soft, dry cloth. For
stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild cleaning
agent.
Storage
♦ If you plan on not using the product for a long period,
remove the batteries and store it in a clean, dry place away
from direct sunlight.
Disposal
Disposal of device
Electrical devices may not be thrown away as part of normal
household trash. If you can no longer use your electrical device,
dispose of it in accordance with the legal provisions applicable
in your state. This will ensure that old electrical devices are re-
cycled and environmental pollution is kept to a minimum.

at www.epa.gov.

Disposal of batteries
Some batteries contain heavy metals such as mercury, lead,
cadmium, and nickel; therefore, many communities do not allow
them to be thrown away with your regular trash. Recycling is always
the best option for disposing of used batteries.
Dry-Cell Batteries are used in a variety of electronics and include
alkaline and carbon zinc (9-volt, D, C, AA, AAA), mercuric-oxide
(button, some cylindrical and rectangular), silver-oxide and zinc-
air (button), and lithium (9-volt, C, AA, coin, button, rechargeable)
batteries. Look for in-store recycling bins or community collection
events to dispose of these batteries.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging materials have been selected for their
environmental friendliness and ease of disposal, and
are therefore recyclable.
Dispose of packaging materials that are no longer
needed in accordance with applicable local
regulations.
Note the marking on the different packaging materi-
als and separate them as necessary. The packaging
materials are marked with abbreviations (a) and
numbers (b) with the following meanings:
1–7: Plastics,
20–22: Paper and cardboard,
80–98: Composites

3 year limited warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
▯ Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
▯ Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to
follow the safety and maintenance instructions provided in
the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
▯ Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts
(such as switches, glass, etc.);
▯ Improper use or transport;
▯ Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
▯ Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.);
▯ Tampering with the product (such as removing cover,
unscrewing screws etc.)
Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered
under this warranty. However, some states do not allow the
exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so
this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

mínimo y máximo. Además, se presenta el tiempo de ventilación
recomendado, la clasificación del clima en el interior y los
cambios de clima en el interior.

A fin de realizar un manejo adecuado de las baterías,
siga las siguientes instrucciones de seguridad:
► No arroje las baterías al fuego ni las someta a altas tempera turas.
► No abra, deforme ni cortocircuite las baterías; esto puede
ocasionar derrames químicos.
► No intente recargar las baterías. No cargue las baterías a
menos que estén etiquetadas explícitamente como "recargables".
¡Existe el riesgo de explosión!
► Nunca caliente las baterías para reactivarlas.
► Revise regularmente la condición de las baterías. Las baterías
con fugas pueden causar daño permanente al dispositivo.
Tenga especial cuidado cuando maneje baterías dañadas
o con fugas. ¡Existe el riesgo de quemaduras por ácido!
Use guantes de protección.
► La fuga del químicos de la batería puede causar irritación
en la piel. En caso de contacto con la piel, enjuague con abun-
dante agua. Si los químicos entran en contacto con los ojos,

► Mantenga las baterías fuera del alcance de los niños. Los

Ni-Cd (recargables) o de otros tipos.
► Use solamente el tipo y tamaño de batería indicados.
► Inserte siempre las baterías correctamente (observe la polari-

► Limpie los contactos de las baterías y los del dispositivo antes
de instalar las baterías.

Primer uso
Requisitos para el lugar de instalación
► Cuando elija el lugar de instalación, asegúrese de que los
dispositivos no estén expuestos a la luz solar directa, a la
vibración, al calor, al frío o a la humedad.
► No coloque el dispositivo cerca de fuentes de calor, como
los calentadores.
► Coloque el sensor externo dentro de un radio máximo de
164 pies de la estación meteorológica. Asegúrese de que no
haya obstáculos que interfieran entre el sensor externo y la
estación meteorológica. De lo contrario, podría haber inter-
ferencia de la transmisión.

La estación meteorológica intentará ahora conectarse con el
sensor externo. En el área de la pantalla para el exterior 3,
el icono de recepción

Pantallas en modo básico
Una vez que ha establecido la hora y la estación meteorológica
ha recibido la señal del sensor externo, el dispositivo entra en
modo básico.
En el modo básico, la estación meteorológica muestra la siguiente

El área de la pantalla para el interior 7
La temperatura del interior medida por la esta-
ción meteorológica se muestra con una precisión
de un décimo de grado. La unidad de tempera-
tura (para grados Fahrenheit) aparece a la
derecha. También puede cambiar la unidad de
temperatura a (grados centígrados).
Si aparece la estación ha detectado una temperatura por
debajo del rango de medición de 14 °F a 122 °F (-9.9 °C a
50 °C); indica que este rango se ha excedido. La humedad
relativa (RH) medida por la estación meteorológica se muestra
en % arriba de la pantalla de la temperatura. Por debajo de la
temperatura se muestran un tiempo de ventilación recomendado
y la clasificación del clima en el interior.
Tiempo de ventilación recomendado
Con base en los valores de temperatura y humedad interiores y
exteriores, la estación meteorológica proporciona una recomen-
dación para abrir (
) o cerrar ( ) la ventana para mejorar el
clima en el interior.
Clasificación del clima en el interior
Con base en el valor de la humedad en el interior, la estación
meteorológica clasifica el clima actual en el interior en tres niveles:
Húmedo. Humedad entre 66% y 95%.
Óptimo. Humedad entre 45% y 65%.
Seco. Humedad entre 20% y 44%.

Pantalla de cambio del clima en el interior 1
Con las mediciones registradas (en el interior y en el exterior), la
estación meteorológica calcula el cambio en el clima del interior
que puede esperarse. Los símbolos indican cómo afectaría la
ventilación el clima en el interior:
Más húmedo. El aumento esperado en la humedad
es 5% o mayor.
Constante. El aumento o disminución esperada en la
humedad es 4% o menos.
Más seco. La disminución esperada en la humedad
es 5% o mayor.
El área de la pantalla para el exterior 3
La temperatura del exterior se
muestra con una precisión de una
décima de grado. La unidad de
temperatura (para grados
Fahrenheit) aparece a la derecha. También puede cambiar la
unidad de temperatura a (grados centígrados).
Si aparece
la estación ha detectado una temperatura por
debajo del rango de medición de – 40 °F a 140 °F (–40 °C a
60 °C); indica que este rango se ha excedido. La humedad
relativa (RH) medida por el sensor externo se muestra en %
arriba de la pantalla de la temperatura. Además, se muestra el
canal usado por el sensor externo (por ejemplo,

Presentación de la temperatura y humedad
máxima y mínima
Una vez que se ha establecido la conexión con la alimentación
de energía y el sensor, la estación meteorológica captura auto-
máticamente los valores máximo y mínimo para la temperatura
y la humedad.
♦ En el modo básico, presione la superficie de control

Iluminación de fondo
La iluminación de fondo en la pantalla se apaga después de
unos 5 segundos para ahorrar energía de la batería.
♦ Presione el botón LIGHT 8 para encender la iluminación

Cuando aparece el icono de batería en el área de la pantalla
para el interior 7, deberá reemplazar las baterías de la estación

Cambio de la pantalla de canal en la estación
meteorológica
Cuando la estación meteorológica ha recibido la señal del sensor
externo, muestra automáticamente el canal correspondiente. Sin
embargo, también puede ajustar manualmente la pantalla de
los diferentes canales.
♦ Presione la superficie de control

Solamente se muestran los valores de los sensores externos que

Solución de problemas
No se puede conectar al sensor externo.
■ Hay obstáculos que interfieren u otras fuentes de interferencia,
tales como muros de concreto u otros dispositivos de transmi-
sión inalámbrica entre la estación meteorológica y el sensor
externo.
Mueva el dispositivo a otro lugar y vuelva a intentar.
■ El sensor externo está demasiado lejos de la estación
meteorológica.
Acerque los dos componentes entre sí. El "contacto
visual" entre el sensor externo y la estación meteoro-
lógica suele mejorar la transmisión.
■ Las baterías en la estación meteorológica o en el sensor
externo están agotadas.
Reemplace las baterías.

Limpieza
► Asegúrese de que no penetre humedad al dispositivo durante
la limpieza para evitar daño irreparable.
► No use limpiadores cáusticos, abrasivos ni a base de solventes.
Estos pueden dañar las superficies del dispositivo.
♦ Limpie las superficies del dispositivo con un paño suave
y seco. Para manchas difíciles, use una tela ligeramente
humedecida con un agente de limpieza suave.
Almacenamiento
♦ Si tiene planeado no usar el producto durante un periodo
largo, retire las baterías y guárdelo en un lugar limpio
y seco, protegido de la luz solar directa.
Eliminación
Eliminación del dispositivo
Los dispositivos no deben ser desechados como parte de la
basura doméstica normal. Si ya no puede usar su dispositivo
eléctrico, elimínelo de conformidad con las disposiciones legales
aplicables en su estado. Esto asegura que los dispositivos eléc-
tricos usados sean reciclados y la contaminación ambiental se
mantenga a un nivel mínimo.

Eliminación de baterías
Algunas baterías contienen metales pesados como mercurio,
plomo, cadmio y níquel; por ello, muchas comunidades no
permiten que se desechen con la basura normal. El reciclaje
es siempre la mejor opción para eliminar las baterías usadas.
Las baterías de celda seca se usan en una gran variedad de
aparatos electrónicos, e incluyen baterías alcalinas y de carbono-
zinc (de 9 voltios, D, C, AA, AAA), de óxido de mercurio (de
botón, algunas cilíndricas y rectangulares), de óxido de plata
y de zinc aire (de botón) y de litio (de 9 volts, C, AA, de tipo
moneda, de botón, recargables). Busque los depósitos de
reciclaje en las tiendas, o los eventos de recopilación de la
comunidad para desechar estas baterías.
Eliminación del empaque
Los materiales de empaque han sido seleccionados
por su compatibilidad ambiental y facilidad de
eliminación y, por lo tanto, son reciclables.
Elimine los materiales de empaque que ya no se
necesitan de conformidad con las normas locales
aplicables.
Observe las marcas en los diferentes materiales
de empaque y sepárelos según sea necesario. Los
materiales de empaquetado están marcados con
abreviaturas (a) y números (b) con los siguientes

Garantía limitada de 3 años
Lo que cubre la presente garantía
La garantía incluye:
▯ Daños, quebraduras o incapacidad para funcionar debido
a defectos.
▯ Daños que no hayan sido causados por el desgaste propio
del uso o por no seguir las instrucciones de seguridad y
mantención incluidas en el manual para el usuario.
Lo que no cubre esta garantía
La garantía no cubre daños causados por:
▯ El desgaste propio del uso del producto, incluidas las partes
frágiles (como interruptores, piezas de vidrio, etc.).
▯ Uso o transporte no indicado del producto.
▯ Desatención a las instrucciones de seguridad y mantención.
▯ Accidentes o causas de fuerza mayor (e.g. relámpagos, incen-
dio, inundación, etc.).
▯ Manipulación mal intencionada del producto (retirar la cubier-
ta, tornillos, etc.).
La presente garantía tampoco cubre daños indirectos o emer-
gentes. Sin embargo algunos estados no permiten la exclusión
o limitación de daños indirectos o emergentes, por lo que dicha
exclusión o limitación pudiera no aplicarse en su caso.

Período de cobertura y resolución de la garantía
La garantía es válida por 3 años a partir de la fecha de compra.
La empresa, según lo estime conveniente, devolverá el dinero o
repondrá el producto.
La empresa no:
▯ Dará inicio a un nuevo período de garantía al hacerse el
cambio del producto.
▯ Reparará el producto.

La presente garantía le otorga derechos legales específicos, y
pudiera usted contar con otros derechos los cuales varían de
