BATTERIES GENERATE EXPLOSIVE GASES DURING NORMAL OPERATION.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS EACH TIME
YOU USE THE JUMP STARTER.
To reduce the risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions and those published by
the battery manufacturer and the manufacturer of any equipment you intend to use in the
vicinity of a battery. Review cautionary marking on these products and on the engine.

1.1 Read the entire manual before using this

1.2 Keep out of reach of children.
1.3 Do not put ngers or hands into any of the
unit’s outlets.

1.6 To reduce the risk of damage to the electric
plug or cord, pull by the adaptor rather
than the cord when disconnecting the unit.
1.7 Do not operate the unit with damaged
cables or clamps.
1.8 Do not operate the unit if it has received
a sharp blow, been dropped or otherwise
damaged in any way; take it to a qualied
service person.
1.9 Do not disassemble the unit; take it to a
qualied service person when service or
repair is required. Incorrect reassembly
may result in a risk of re or electric shock.
1.10 Changes or modications not expressly
approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user’s authority
to operate this device.

1.11 To reduce the risk of a battery explosion,
follow these instructions and those
published by the battery manufacturer and
the manufacturer of any equipment you

Review the cautionary markings on these

1.12 Do not set the unit on ammable
materials, such as carpeting, upholstery,
paper, cardboard, etc.
1.13 Never place the unit directly above battery
being jumped.
1.14 Do not use the unit to jump start a vehicle
while charging the internal battery.
2. PERSONAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! RISK OF EXPLOSIVE
GASES. A SPARK NEAR THE BATTERY
MAY CAUSE A BATTERY EXPLOSION.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A SPARK
NEAR THE BATTERY:
2.1 NEVER smoke or allow a spark or ame
in the vicinity of a battery or engine.
2.2 Remove personal metal items such as
rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches
when working with a lead-acid battery. A
lead-acid battery can produce a short-
circuit current high enough to weld a ring
to metal, causing a severe burn.
2.3 Be extra cautious, to reduce the risk of
dropping a metal tool onto the battery. It
might spark or short-circuit the battery or
other electrical part that may cause an
explosion.
2.4 Do not permit the internal battery of the unit
to freeze. Never charge a frozen battery.
2.5 To prevent sparking, NEVER allow clamps
to touch together or contact the same
piece of metal.
2.6 Consider having someone nearby to
come to your aid when you work near a
lead-acid battery.
2.7 Have plenty of fresh water, soap and
baking soda nearby for use, in case
battery acid contacts your eyes, skin, or
clothing.
2.8 Wear complete eye and body protection,
including safety goggles and protective
clothing. Avoid touching your eyes while
working near the battery.
2.9 If battery acid contacts your skin or
clothing, immediately wash the area

with soap and water. If acid enters your
eye, immediately ood the eye with cold
running water for at least 10 minutes and
get medical attention right away.
2.10 If battery acid is accidentally swallowed,
drink milk, the whites of eggs or water.
DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek medical
attention immediately.
2.11 Neutralize any acid spills thoroughly with
baking soda before attempting to clean up.
2.12 This product contains a lithium ion
battery. In case of re, you may use
water, a foam extinguisher, Halon,
CO
2
, ABC dry chemical, powdered
graphite, copper powder or soda (sodium
carbonate) to extinguish the re. Once
the re is extinguished, douse the
product with water, an aqueous-based
extinguishing agent, or other nonalcoholic
liquids to cool the product and prevent the
battery from re-igniting. NEVER attempt
to pick up or move a hot, smoking, or
burning product, as you may be injured.
2.13 NOTE: This equipment has been tested
and found to comply with the limits for
a Class B digital device, pursuant to
part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits
are designed to provide reasonable
protection against harmful interference
in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses, and can
radiate radio frequency energy and, if
not installed and used in accordance
with the instructions, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications.
However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a particular
installation. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television
reception, which can be determined
by turning the equipment off and on,
the user is encouraged to try to correct
the interference by one or more of the
following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the
equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment into an outlet on
a circuit different from that to which the
receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced
radio/TV technician for help.
3. PREPARING TO USE THE UNIT
WARNING! RISK OF CONTACT WITH
BATTERY ACID. BATTERY ACID IS A
HIGHLY CORROSIVE SULFURIC ACID.
3.1 Make sure the area around the battery is
well ventilated while the unit is in use.
3.2 Clean the battery terminals before using
the jump starter. During cleaning, keep
airborne corrosion from coming into
contact with your eyes, nose and mouth.
Use baking soda and water to neutralize
the battery acid and help eliminate
airborne corrosion. Do not touch your
eyes, nose or mouth.
3.3 Determine the voltage of the battery by
referring to the vehicle owner’s manual and
make sure that the output voltage is 12V.
3.4 Make sure that the unit’s cable clamps
make tight connections.

5. CHARGING THE INTERNAL BATTERY OF THE JUMP STARTER
IMPORTANT! CHARGE IMMEDIATELY
AFTER PURCHASE, AFTER EACH USE
AND EVERY 30 DAYS, TO KEEP THE
JUMP STARTER’S INTERNAL BATTERY
FULLY CHARGED AND PROLONG
BATTERY LIFE.
CHECKING THE LEVEL
OF THE INTERNAL BATTERY
Press the ON/OFF Power switch. The
Battery Status LEDs will light for 30 seconds
and then turn off. While the Battery Status
LEDs are off and the ON/OFF Power switch
is on, press the Battery Status/Light
button on the front of the unit. The LEDs will
indicate the current charge level as follows:
RED – less than 20% of full charge;
immediately charge the unit.
YELLOW – 20-80% of full charge.
GREEN – more than 80% of full
charge.
CHARGING THE INTERNAL BATTERY
The jump starter will fully charge in 3-4 hours.
NOTE: Use a 2A USB charger (not
included), or a 2A USB charging port to
quickly recharge the jump starter. Using
a charger with less than 2A will increase
charge time.
1. Plug the Micro USB end of a charging
cable into the input port. Next, plug the
USB end of the charging cable into
your charger’s USB port.
2. Plug your charger into a live power
source.
3. When the unit is charging, the LEDs
above the Battery Status/Light
button will light to show the charging
percentage as follows:
Red LED ashing: 0-5% charged
Red LED solid: 6-19% charged
Yellow LED solid: 20-80% charged
Green LED solid: 81-100% charged
4. Ten seconds after the battery has
reached full charge, the green LED
will change from solid to pulsing.
5. If the Red Ready/Fail LED lights and
the buzzer sounds, the unit’s protection
has been activated (such as short
circuit protection, battery low voltage
protection, reverse polarity protection,
etc.) and the unit will not operate.
6. When the battery is fully charged,
disconnect your charger from the
power source and then remove the
charging cable from the charger and
the unit. Make sure the power switch
is set to OFF, if not using the jump
starter immediately.
6. USING THE JUMP STARTER
JUMP STARTING A VEHICLE
IMPORTANT: Using the jump starter without
a battery installed in the vehicle will damage
the vehicle’s electrical system.
1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Lay the DC cables away from any
fan blades, belts, pulleys and other
moving parts.
3. For a negative-ground vehicle (as
in most vehicles), connect the jump
starter’s POSITIVE (RED) clamp to
the POSITIVE (POS, P, +) battery
post. Next, connect the NEGATIVE
(BLACK) clamp to the vehicle chassis
or engine block, away from the battery.
4. For a positive-ground vehicle,
connect the jump starter’s NEGATIVE
(BLACK) clamp to the NEGATIVE
(NEG, N, -) battery post. Next,
connect the POSITIVE (RED) clamp
to the vehicle chassis or engine block
away from the battery.
5. Press the ON/OFF switch to turn the
on the jump starter. The green Ready
LED will light.
6. Crank the engine for no more than
8 seconds. If the engine does not start,
wait 2 minutes before cranking again.
7. After the engine starts, press the ON/
OFF switch to turn the the jump starter
off, and then disconnect the black clamp
(-) and the red clamp (+), in that order.
8. Recharge the unit as soon as possible
after each use.
USING THE USB PORT
The USB port provides up to 2.4A at 5V DC.
1. Ensure the battery clamps are securely
clipped on the storage holders.
2. Press the ON/OFF power switch to
turn the unit ON.
3. Plug your device into the USB port.
4. Turn on the USB device.
5. When nished using the USB port,
turn the switch to the OFF position.
6. Recharge the unit as soon as possible
after each use.

USING THE WORK LIGHT
1. Position the jump starter on a at, stable
surface near the intended work area.
2. Ensure the battery clamps are securely
clipped on the storage holders.
3. Press the Battery Status/Light button
on the front of the unit for 2 seconds,
to turn on the work light.
4. When nished using the work light,
press the button for 2 seconds, to turn
off the work light.
5. Recharge the unit as soon as possible
after each use.
ENERGY SAVING MODE
If the unit is not used after the ON/OFF
power switch is turned on, the unit will go
into Energy Saving mode after 30 seconds,
to prevent battery discharge. Follow these
steps to use any function after Energy
Saving mode:
1. Press the ON/OFF power switch to
turn the unit ON.
2. The Green Ready/Fail LED will light.
3. After 30 seconds, The USB port and
Battery Status/Light function will turn off.
4. After 2 minutes, The Green Ready/
Fail LED will turn off.
5. Press the Battery Status/Light
button once. The unit is now ready for
checking the battery status and using
the jump starter, USB and work light.
7. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
7.1 Clean the clips and the case each time you
are nished using it.
7.2 Charge battery to full capacity before
storage.
7.3 Store this unit at the temperatures between

7.4 Store clips on their support posts, to
ensure they do not come into contact with
any metallic surface.
7.5 Never completely discharge the internal
battery.
7.6 Charge after each use.
7.7 Charge at least once every month, if not in
frequent use, to prevent over-discharge.
8. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The jump starter won’t
jump start my car.
Clamps are not making a good
connection to the battery.
Connections are reversed.
The jump starter’s battery is not
charged.
The vehicle’s battery is

Check for poor connection to

Disconnect the jump starter and
reverse the clamps.
Press the Battery Status button
on the front of the unit. The LEDs
will indicate the status of charge.
Have the battery checked.
Press ON/OFF switch to turn on
the jump starter.
The jump starter will not
operate.
Low temperature protection. Use the USB adaptor to charge
and activate.
The battery in the jump
starter won’t hold a charge.
The battery is bad (will not
accept a charge).

an emailed label from Schumacher, please print the label and tape it to the carton. Only
ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. Return shipping charges
are the responsibility of the customer. We cannot accept C.O.D. deliveries and are not
responsible for lost or damaged packages. Please do not place stickers or shipping labels
on the original manufacturer’s package. Please allow 2-3 days from date we received the
package for us to process your return. All return shipping charges must be prepaid.

RETAIL PURCHASER OF THIS PRODUCT. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS NOT
TRANSFERABLE OR ASSIGNABLE.
Schumacher Electric Corporation (the “Manufacturer”) warrants this jump starter for one
(1) year from the date of purchase at retail against defective material or workmanship that
may occur under normal use and care. If your unit is not free from defective material or
workmanship, Manufacturer’s obligation under this warranty is solely to repair or replace
your product, with a new or reconditioned unit, at the option of the Manufacturer. It is the
obligation of the purchaser to forward the unit, along with proof of purchase and mailing
charges prepaid to the Manufacturer or its authorized representatives in order for repair
or replacement to occur.
Manufacturer does not provide any warranty for any accessories used with this product
that are not manufactured by Schumacher Electric Corporation and approved for use
with this product. This Limited Warranty is void if the product is misused, subjected to
careless handling, repaired, or modied by anyone other than Manufacturer or if this unit
is resold through an unauthorized retailer. Manufacturer may void this Limited Warranty if
a “warranty may be void if removed” label is removed from the product.
Manufacturer makes no other warranties, including, but not limited to, express, implied or
statutory warranties, including without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or
implied warranty of tness for a particular purpose. Further, Manufacturer shall not be liable

2. PRECAUCIONES DE SEGURIDAD PERSONAL
ADVERTENCIA: RIESGO DE GASES

DE CHISPAS CERCA DE LA BATERÍA:
2.1 NUNCA fume o permita la presencia de
chispas o llamas en la proximidad de una
batería o motor.
2.2 No utilice elementos personales de metal
tales como anillos, pulseras, collares y
relojes al trabajar con una batería de
plomo-ácido. Una batería de plomo-
ácido puede producir una corriente de
cortocircuito lo sucientemente elevada
como para soldar un anillo o provocar
efectos similares sobre el metal, causando
una quemadura de gravedad.
2.3 Tenga especial cuidado para reducir el
riesgo de dejar caer una herramienta
de metal sobre la batería. Esto podría
provocar chispas o un cortocircuito en la
batería o en cualquier otra pieza eléctrica
que podría provocar una explosión.
2.4 No deje que la batería interna se congele.
Nunca cargue una batería congelada.

2.7 Cuente con una gran cantidad de agua
potable y jabón a mano en caso de que el
ácido de la batería tenga contacto con su
piel, ropa u ojos.
2.8 Utilice protección visual y corporal completa,
incluyendo gafas de seguridad y prendas
de protección. Evite tocar sus ojos mientras
trabaje en forma cercana a la batería.
2.9 Si el ácido de la batería tiene contacto con
su piel o su ropa, lave de inmediato el área
afectada con agua y jabón. En caso de que
ingrese ácido en un ojo, sumerja el mismo
de inmediato bajo agua potable corriente
por al menos 10 minutos y obtenga
atención médica en forma inmediata.
2.10 Si el ácido de la batería es accidentalmente
ingerido, se recomienda beber leche, clara
de huevo o agua. NO provoque vómito.
Busque ayuda médica de inmediato.
2.11 Neutralice el ácido derramado
abundantemente con bicarbonato de
sodio antes de intentar limpiarlo.
2.12 Este producto contiene una batería
de ión-litio. En caso de incendio, puede
utilizar agua, extintor de espuma, halón,
CO
2
polvo químico seco ABC, grato en
polvo, polvo de cobre o soda (carbonato
de sodio) para extinguir el fuego. Una vez
que el fuego se haya extinguido, empape el
producto con agua, un agente de extinción
basado en agua u otros líquidos sin alcohol
para enfriar el producto y evitar que la
batería se vuelva a encender. NUNCA

2.13 NOTA: Este equipo ha sido sometido a
pruebas y se determinó que cumple con
los límites establecidos para dispositivos

3. PREPARACIÓN PARA EL USO

3.1 Asegúrese de que el área alrededor de
la batería esté bien ventilada mientras la
unidad está en uso.
3.2 Limpie los terminales de la batería antes
de usar el arrancador. Durante la limpieza,
evite que la corrosión producida por aire
tenga contacto con sus ojos, nariz y boca.
Utilice bicarbonato de sodio y agua para
neutralizar el ácido de la batería y ayudar
a eliminar la corrosión producida por aire.

3.3 Determine el voltaje de la batería
consultando el manual del usuario del
vehículo y asegúrese de que la tensión de
salida es de 12V.

COMPROBACIÓN DEL NIVEL DE
CARGA DE LA BATERÍA INTERNA
Presione el interruptor de ENCENDIDO /
APAGADO. Los LED de estado de la
batería se iluminarán durante 30 segundos
y luego se apagarán. Mientras los LED de
estado de la batería están apagados y el
interruptor de encendido / apagado está
encendido, pulse el botón Estado de
la batería/Luz en la parte frontal de la
unidad. Las luces de LED indican el nivel
de carga de la siguiente manera:
ROJO – menos del 20% de la carga
completa; inmediatamente cargar la unidad.
AMARILLO – 20-80% de la carga
completa.
VERDE – más de 80% de la carga
completa.
LA CARGA DE LA BATERÍA INTERNA
El arrancador se cargará por completo en
3-4 horas.
NOTA: Utilice un cargador USB de 2A
(se vende por separado), o un puerto
de carga USB de 2A para recargar
rápidamente el arrancador. El uso de un
cargador con menos de 2A aumentará el
tiempo de carga.
1. Conecte el extremo Micro USB
del cable de carga en el puerto de
entrada. A continuación, conecte el
extremo USB del cable de carga en el
puerto USB de un cargador.
2. Conectar el cargador a una toma de
alimentación en vivo.
3. Cuando la unidad está cargando, las
luces LED sobre el botón Estado
de Batería/Luz se encenderán de
la siguiente manera para mostrar el
porcentaje de carga:
LED rojo parpadeando:
Batería 0-5% cargada
LED rojo encendido:
Batería 6-19% cargada
LED amarillo encendido:
Batería 20-80% cargada
LED verde encendido:
Batería 81-100% cargada
4. Diez segundos después de que
la batería ha alcanzado la carga
completa, el LED verde cambiará de
sólido a pulsante.
5. Si el LED rojo Listo/Falla se
enciende y suena el zumbador, se
ha activado alguna protección de la
unidad (por ejemplo, la protección de
cortocircuito, la protección de bajo
voltaje de la batería, la protección de
polaridad inversa, etc.) y la unidad no
funcionará.
6. Cuando la batería esté completamente
cargada, desconecte su cargador de
la fuente de alimentación y luego retire
el cable de carga del cargador y de la
unidad. Compruebe que el interruptor
de alimentación esté puesto en OFF,
si no va a usar el arrancador de
inmediato.

6. CÓMO UTILIZAR EL ARRANCADOR
ARRANCAR UN MOTOR DE VEHÍCULO
IMPORTANTE: Utilizar la función
arranque del motor sin una batería
instalada en el vehículo dañará el sistema
eléctrico del vehículo.
1. APAGUE el motor.
2. Ponga los cables de CD lejos de las
aspas del ventilador, bandas, poleas u
otras partes móviles.
3. En los vehículos con carga negativa
a tierra (como en la mayoría de los
vehículos), conecte la pinza con el
polo POSITIVO (ROJO) del arrancador
al borne POSITIVO (POS, P, +) de
la batería. A continuación, conecte la
pinza con el polo NEGATIVO (NEGRO)
al chasis del vehículo o al bloque del
motor, lejos de la batería.
4. En los vehículos con carga positiva
a tierra, conecte la pinza con el polo
NEGATIVO (NEGRO) del arrancador
al borne NEGATIVO (NEG, N, -)
de la batería. A continuación, conecte
la pinza con el polo POSITIVO (ROJO)
al chasis del vehículo o al bloque del
motor, lejos de la batería.
5. Coloque el interruptor en la posición de
Encendido (ON). El LED verde Listo
se iluminará.
6. Accione el encendido del motor
durante no más de 8 segundos. Si el
motor no enciende, espere 2 minutos
antes de arrancar de nuevo.
7. Una vez que haya arrancado el motor,
coloque el interruptor en la posición
de Apagado (OFF) y y luego
desconecte la pinza negro (-) y la
pinza roja (+), en ese orden.
8. Cargue la unidad tan pronto sea
posible, después de usarse.
EL USO DE PUERTO USB
El puerto USB provee poco más de 2,4A
por 5V de CD.
1. Asegúrese que las pinzas estén jas
en el compartimiento.
2. Presione el interruptor de alimentación
ON/OFF para encender la unidad.
3. Conecte su aparato en el puerto USB.
4. Encienda el dispositivo USB.
5. Cuando termine de usar el puerto
USB, coloque el interruptor en la
posición de Apagado (OFF).
6. Cargue la unidad tan pronto sea
posible, después de usarse.
CÓMO UTILIZAR LA LUZ DE TRABAJO
1. Coloque el arrancador sobre una
supercie plana cerca del área de
trabajo.
2. Asegúrese que las pinzas estén jas
en el compartimiento.
3. Presione el botón Estado de batería/
Luz en la parte delantera de la unidad
durante 2 segundos para encender la
luz de trabajo.
4. Cuando termine de usar la luz de
trabajo, presione el botón por 2
segundos para apagarla.
5. Cargue la unidad tan pronto sea
posible, después de usarse.
MODO DE AHORRO DE ENERGÍA
Si la unidad no se usa después de que el
interruptor de alimentación ON/OFF se ha
puesto en ON, entrará en modo de ahorro
de energía después de 30 segundos, para
evitar que la batería se descargue. Siga
estos pasos para usar cualquier función
después del modo de ahorro de energía:
1. Presione el interruptor de alimentación
ON/OFF para encender la unidad.
2. El LED verde Listo/Falla se iluminará.
3. Después de 30 segundos, el puerto
USB y la función Estado de batería/
Luz se desactivará.
4. Después de 2 minutos, el LED verde
Listo/Falla se apagará.
5. Presione el botón Estado de batería/
Luz una vez. La unidad está lista para
vericar el estado de la batería y usar
el arrancador, la función de USB y la
luz de trabajo.
7. MANTENIMIENTO Y ALMACENAMIENTO
7.1 Limpie las pinzas y la carcasa de la unidad
cada vez que termine de usarla.
7.2 Cargue la batería a máxima capacidad
antes de guardarla.
7.3 Guarde esta unidad a una temperatura
entre -4°F y +140°F (-20°C y +60°C).
7.4 Guarde las pinzas en sus postes de apoyo
para asegurarse de que no entren en
contacto con alguna supercie metálica.
7.5 Nunca descargue completamente la
batería interna.
7.6 Cargue después de cada uso.
7.7 Cargue por lo menos una vez al mes, si no
usa la unidad frecuentemente, para evitar
una descarga excesiva.
