OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard hot air stylers are designed to operate
at 110 to 125 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on
hair extensions.

TOURMALINE CERAMIC
TECHNOLOGY
This hot air styler has tourmaline ceramic
heat, which eliminates damaging hot spots for
beautiful, frizz-free shine.
IONIC TECHNOLOGY
Many aspects of modern living, including air con-
ditioning, contact with man-made fibers and air
pollution contribute to a buildup of static elec-
tricity in the hair. Even brushing and towel-drying
the hair, can increase these levels, causing the
surface of the cuticle to become rough.
Consequently, hair may have a dull appearance.
Also, high levels of static charge cause hair to
become flyaway and difficult to style.
The ion generator produces a stream of nega-
tive ions that act to neutralize the static charge,
smoothing the scales on the cuticle for shiny,
smooth and manageable hair, so you can achieve
your desired style easily.
THE IONIZING FUNCTION
Generates negative ions to:
• neutralize the generally positive charge on
flyaway, frizzy hair
• eliminate static electricity
• contribute to shine
NOTE: The unit may produce a clicking
sound at times, which is normal for a
high-output ion generator.
GETTING STARTED
After shampooing your hair, towel-dry and
untangle it carefully with a large-toothed comb.
Always start untangling your wet hair at the
tips, then gradually work your way up. Gentle
untangling prevents split ends from forming.
You may now finish drying and styling your hair
using your hot air styler. Make sure your desired
attachment is locked into place. Plug styler
into outlet. Slide switch to turn appliance
ON/OFF.

TO SWITCH ATTACHMENTS
Fit an attachment onto the body of the unit by
lining up the guides on the two parts and then
pressing the two parts together until you hear
a click. To remove an attachment, press on the
unlocking buttons located on the sides of the
unit and gently pull the attachment off.
HEAT/SPEED SETTINGS
Cool Setting: This position combines ideal
airflow and temperature setting for shaping
finer, damaged or treated hair.
Low Setting: Ideal airflow for medium,
normal hair.
High Setting: Combines ideal airflow with
higher temperature for thick hair.
Cool Shot: Using the cool shot button at the
end sets the style for a long-lasting effect.

TO STYLE HAIR
1. After detangling hair, section damp hair into 4
to 8 equal parts, depending on hair type.
2. Select heat setting based on hair type and
desired effect.
3. Choose your desired brush attachment, place
the appliance into the hair, close to the root, and
brush through the section until hair is dry.
4. After styling, use the cool shot to set your look
for long-lasting results.
5. Finish look with your favorite styling spray.

CLEANING &
MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the appliance and let cool completely
before cleaning it.
• Use a damp cloth to clean carefully. Make
sure the appliance is completely dry before
using again.
• The rear filter should be cleaned on a regular
basis using a soft brush to help prevent buildup
and overheating. This will also prolong the
motor life.
USER MAINTENANCE
Your hot air styler is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the hot air styler must be kept
clean. When cleaning is needed, unplug the
cord, allow to cool and clean dust and lint
from air intake openings with a small brush
or the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner.
The outer surface of the hot air styler should
be wiped clean with a cloth only. Blocked or
clogged air intake vents will cause the hot
air styler to overheat. If overheating occurs,
an automatic safety device will shut the hot
air styler or the heat off to prevent damage or
personal injury. If the unit or the heat turns off,
unplug the cord and allow the hot air styler to
cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.
Make sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power-supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the hot air styler. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the hot
air styler, causing it to rupture and short circuit.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop
use immediately if damage is visible or unit
stops or operates intermittently.
If the cord or hot air styler is damaged or does
not operate properly, return it for repair to an
authorized Conair service representative only.
No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
STORAGE – IMPORTANT
When not in use, your hot air styler should be
disconnected, allowed to cool and stored in a
safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do
not wrap line cord around hot air styler. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the hot air styler.

Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 24 months from the
date of purchase if the appliance is defective
in workmanship or materials. To obtain service
under this warranty, return the defective product

the absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty

El revestimiento de cerámica/turmalina del
cepillo asegura una distribución uniforme del
calor, lo que evita los daños causados por este y
brinda resultados hermosos y brillantes, sin frizz.
TECNOLOGÍA IÓNICA
Muchos factores ambientales modernos,
incluyendo el aire acondicionado, las fibras
artificiales y la contaminación, electrizan el
cabello. Incluso cepillar el cabello o secarlo con

para secar y peinar el cabello. Compruebe que

*Un interruptor de circuito de falla a tierra (GFCI,
por sus siglas en inglés) es un dispositivo
sensible que reacciona inmediatamente a una
pequeña pérdida de corriente, deteniendo el flujo
de electricidad.
LIMPIEZA Y
MANTENIMIENTO
• Desenchufe el aparato y permita que se enfríe
completamente antes de limpiarlo.
• Limpie la carcasa del aparato
cuidadosamente con un paño húmedo. Permita
que se seque completamente antes de volver
a usarlo.
• Limpie el filtro regularmente, usando un
cepillo suave, para mantenerlo limpio y evitar
que el motor se sobrecaliente; esto también
prolongará la vida útil del motor.

Este aparato requiere poco mantenimiento.
No requiere lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio.
Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desenchúfelo,
permita que se enfríe y quite el polvo y las
pelusas de los orificios de ventilación con un
cepillo pequeño o el cepillo accesorio de una
aspiradora. La superficie exterior del aparato
solo se debe limpiar con un paño limpio. El
aparato se recalentará si los orificios de
ventilación están obstruidos o tapados.
Si esto sucede, un sistema de seguridad
apagará el aparato o cortará la temperatura
automáticamente para evitar daños al aparato
o heridas. En caso de que esto suceda,
desenchufe el aparato y permita que se
enfríe por 10 a 15 minutos antes de volver a
encenderlo. Compruebe que los orificios de
ventilación están limpios.
PRECAUCIÓN
NUNCA jale, retuerza ni doble mucho el cable.
Nunca lo enrolle con fuerza alrededor del
aparato; esto puede dañar la junta flexible que lo
