12. Attachments may be hot during use. Allow
them to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface while
in use.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair
away from the air inlets.
15. Do not operate with a voltage converter.
16. TO AVOID TANGLING, NEVER ROLL THE
HAIR AROUND THE HOT AIR BRUSH MORE

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard hot air stylers are designed to operate
at 110 to 125 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
NOTE: Do not use this styling appliance on
hair extensions.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE APPLIANCE
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the following test. The
purpose of this test is to allow you to make sure
the water sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance
and press test button on
plug (see diagram).
2. The appliance will stop
working. There will be an
audible click and reset
button will pop out. This
indicates the ALCI is functioning properly.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, unit should
be unplugged. Then push reset button in and
reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not try
to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the
unit to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset
button pop up during use, this could indicate a
malfunction in the unit. Remove plug from outlet
and allow the appliance to cool. Reinsert plug
into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally.
If not, return it to an authorized Conair Service
Center for evaluation and repair.

DOUBLE CERAMIC TECHNOLOGY
The barrel of your 1¼ hot air styler brush
has an Easy-Glide™ double ceramic-coated
surface, the newest technology.
This double ceramic-coated surface helps
to smooth down flyaways. As you wind each
strand around the barrel, it evenly distributes
heat so that the style you create has a salon
perfect, silky smooth, shiny finish. Hair glides
easily over the surface of the barrel. Any residue
from styling products that builds up on the
ceramic-coated barrel can be easily cleaned.
GETTING STARTED
After shampooing your hair, towel-dry and
untangle it carefully with a large-toothed comb.
Always start untangling your wet hair at the
tips, then gradually work your way up. Gentle
untangling prevents split ends from forming.
Now finish drying and styling your hair using
your hot air styler. Make sure your desired
attachment is locked into place. Plug styler into
outlet. Slide switch to turn appliance on and off.
To avoid tangling, never roll the hair around the
hot air brush more than two times. Also, use a
small section of hair at a time.

TO STYLE HAIR
1. After detangling hair, section damp hair into
4 to 8 equal parts, depending on hair type. Use
sectioning clips to section hair for easy styling.
2. Select heat setting based on hair type and
desired effect.
USING THE 1¼ ATTACHMENT
TO CURL AND STRAIGHTEN
Beginning at the crown area, take a section of
hair and place the 1¼ in. brush near the root
area. Slide the hot air brush toward the
ends, then wind toward the root area. Hold for
approximately 10 seconds, then gently unwind
the hair without tension. Continue throughout
the hair until styled as desired.
USING THE ¾ NYLON BRUSH TO CURL
Position the brush under hair, close to the roots.
Slide it down to hair ends. This will give perfect
shape to your hairstyle, while bristles and hot air
create a polished finish and add shine

CLEANING &
MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the appliance and let cool completely
before cleaning it.
• Use a damp cloth to clean carefully. Make
sure the appliance is completely dry before
using again.
• The rear filter should be cleaned on a regular
basis using a soft brush to help prevent buildup
and overheating. This will also prolong the
motor life.
USER MAINTENANCE
Your hot air styler is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the hot air styler must be kept
clean. When cleaning is needed, unplug the
cord, allow to cool and clean dust and lint
from air intake openings with a small brush
or the brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner.
The outer surface of the hot air styler should
be wiped clean with a cloth only. Blocked or
clogged air intake vents will cause the hot
air styler to overheat. If overheating occurs,
an automatic safety device will shut the hot
air styler or the heat off to prevent damage or
personal injury. If the unit or the heat turns off,
unplug the cord and allow the hot air styler to
cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.
Make sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply-cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the hot air styler. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the hot
air styler, causing it to rupture and short circuit.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop
use immediately if damage is visible or unit
stops or operates intermittently.
If the cord or hot air styler is damaged or does
not operate properly, return it for repair to an
authorized Conair service representative only.
No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
STORAGE – IMPORTANT
When not in use, your hot air styler should be
disconnected, allowed to cool and stored in a
safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do
not wrap line cord around hot air styler. Allow
the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the hot air styler.

DE OPERACIÓN
Para uso doméstico solamente. Úselo solamente
con corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este aparato ha
sido diseñado para funcionar con corriente de

polarizado (una pata es más ancha que la otra).

PRUEBE EL INTERRUPTOR DE CONTROL DE

Este aparato cuenta con un interruptor de
control de potencia (ALCI, por sus siglas en
inglés) que apaga el aparato inmediatamente
si este cae al agua. Haga la prueba siguiente
antes de cada uso para comprobar que el
interruptor de control de potencia y el sistema
de detección de agua funcionan correctamente:
1. Enchufe el aparato y
apriete el botón de
prueba (véase el gráfico).
2. El aparato dejará
de funcionar. Se oirá
un “clic” y el botón de
reinicio saltará; esto
significa que el interruptor de control de
potencia está funcionando correctamente.
3. Para reajustarlo, desenchufe el aparato.
Luego, presione el botón de reinicio y vuelva a
conectar el cable.
4. Si el interruptor de control de potencia no
funciona correctamente, devuelva el aparato
a un centro de servicio autorizado.
5. Si el aparato se cae al agua, es muy
importante que lo devuelva a un centro de
servicio; no intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el interruptor de control de potencia
antes de cada uso para comprobar que está
funcionando correctamente.
Si el aparato se apaga y el botón de reinicio
salta durante el uso, esto puede indicar un mal
funcionamiento. En caso de que esto suceda,
desenchufe el aparato y permita que se enfríe.
Luego, vuelva a conectar el cable.
El aparato debería funcionar normalmente. De
no ser así, devuélvalo a un centro de servicio
autorizado para su revisión y reparación.

TECNOLOGÍA CON
DOBLE CERÁMICA
El cuerpo de su nuevo cepillo de aire de 1¼
in. (32 mm) está cubierto con un revestimiento
de fácil deslizamiento con doble cerámica, lo
último en tecnología de peluquería.
El revestimiento con doble cerámica ayuda
a controlar la estática y el frizz. Distribuye el
calor uniformemente, para resultados de salón
sedosos y brillantes. Notará que el cabello se
desliza fácilmente sobre la superficie del
cuerpo del cepillo. Además, el revestimiento
de cerámica es muy fácil de limpiar para quitar
los residuos de productos de peinado.
FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
Después del champú, seque el cabello con una
toalla y desenrédelo suavemente con un peine
de dientes anchos. Siempre empiece a peinar
el cabello mojado en las puntas y desenrédelo
subiendo poco a poco hacia la raíz. Peinar el
cabello suavemente evita las puntas abiertas.
Ahora, termine de secar y peinar su cabello
usando el cepillo de aire. Compruebe que el
aditamento deseado está bloqueado en su
lugar. Enchufe la unidad. Deslice el botón de
encendido/apagado hacia “ON” para encender
la unidad.
Para evitar los enredos, nunca dé más de dos
vueltas alrededor del cepillo. Divida el cabello
en secciones delgadas para peinarlo.

FUNDAMENTOS DEL PEINADO
1. Después de desenredar el cabello, divídalo
en 4 a 8 secciones, dependiendo del tipo de
cabello. Use pinzas o clips para sostener el
cabello durante el peinado.
2. Elija el ajuste de calor deseado, dependiendo
de su tipo de cabello y del efecto deseado.

Divida el cabello en secciones delgadas y,
empezando en la coronilla, agarre una sección
de cabello con el cepillo de 1¼ in. (32 mm),
cerca de la raíz. Deslice el cepillo hacia las
puntas y, llegando a ellas, enrolle el cabello
alrededor del cepillo hacia el cuero cabelludo.
Mantenga el cepillo en esta posición por aprox.
10 segundos, y luego desenrolle el cabello
suavemente,

LIMPIEZA Y
MANTENIMIENTO
• Desenchufe el aparato y permita que s
enfríe completamente antes de limpiarlo.
• Limpie la carcasa del aparat

No requiere lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio.
Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desenchúfelo,
permita que se enfríe y quite el polvo y las
pelusas de los orificios de ventilación con un
cepillo pequeño o el cepillo accesorio de una
aspiradora. La superficie exterior del aparato
solo se debe limpiar con un paño limpio. El
aparato se recalentará si los orificios de
ventilación están obstruidos o tapados.
Si esto sucede, un sistema de seguridad
apagará el aparato o cortará la temperatura
automáticamente para evitar daños al aparato
o heridas. En caso de que esto suceda,
desenchufe el aparato y permita que se
enfríe por 10 a 15 minutos antes de volver a
encenderlo. Compruebe que los orificios de
ventilación están limpios.
PRECAUCIÓN
NUNCA jale, retuerza ni doble mucho el cable.
Nunca lo enrolle con fuerza alrededor del
aparato; esto puede dañar la junta flexible que lo
conecta al aparato, produciendo su rotura o un
cortocircuito. Revise el cable con frecuencia para
comprobar que no está dañado. Deje de usar la
unidad inmediatamente si el cable está
visiblemente dañado, o si la unidad deja de
funcionar, o funciona de manera
intermitente.
Si el cable o el aparato están dañados, o si el
aparato no funciona correctamente, devuélvalo a
un centro de servicio autorizado. No trate de
repararlo.
