appliance near the straightening plates, as it is

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This fl at iron is intended for household use.
This unit is designed to operate at 120 volts AC.
Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fi t in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fi t fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fi t, contact a qualifi ed
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
NOTE: DO NOT USE THIS STYLING APPLIANCE
ON HAIR EXTENSIONS.
STRAIGHTENING BASICS
Plug the fl at iron cord into any household outlet
(120 V). Press ON/OFF button. The iron will
heat up to the default temperature setting
(338°F/170°C). Adjust temperature to desired
level. Red light will blink until it reaches desired
temperature setting and then becomes solid.
Never leave your fl at iron on and unattended.
However, should you fail to turn the unit off,
it will shut itself off automatically within 60
minutes at 60 Hz.
WARNING: The flat iron’s double ceramic-
coated plates will get very hot within a few
seconds and should not be placed in contact
with the skin after the flat iron has been
turned on.
Start with a hair section that is 2 inches (5cm)
wide and no more than ½ inch (1.25cm) thick.
Open the iron and place a hair section between
the two hot plates, close to the scalp. Trap hair
between the plates by fi rmly squeezing the
handles together. While maintaining the tension,
slowly pull the iron down along the hair section
toward the end. At the end of hair section,
release the pressure on the handle and allow
the hair to slide out. Repeat process on
additional sections of hair until you achieve the
hairstyle you desire. It may be necessary to
repeat process on certain areas, depending on
the texture of your hair.
Some experience is necessary when learning to
use this fl at iron. After using the iron several
times, you will learn the ideal way to straighten
and style your hair easily.
NOTE: Please refer to the temperature setting
guide for heat settings.

DE OPERACIÓN
Para uso doméstico solamente. Este aparato ha
sido diseñado para funcionar con corriente de
120 V AC. Utilícelo solamente con corriente
alterna (60 Hz).
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una
clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha que
la otra). Como medida de seguridad, se podrá
enchufar de una sola manera en la toma de
corriente polarizada. Si no entrara en la toma
de corriente, inviértala. Si aún no entrara
completamente, comuníquese con un
electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta
función de seguridad.
NOTA: NO UTILICE ESTE APARATO SOBRE CABELLO
SINTÉTICO/EXTENSIONES.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL ALISADO
Conecte el aparato a una toma de corriente de
120 V. Presione el botón ON/OFF; el aparato se
encenderá y calentará hasta la temperatura por
defecto (338 °F/170 °C). Ajuste la temperatura
al nivel deseado. El indicador luminoso rojo
parpadeará hasta que la unidad alcance la
temperatura seleccionada. Después,
permanecerá encendido. Nunca descuide ni
abandone el aparato después de encenderlo.
Sin embargo, para su seguridad, el aparato se
apagará automáticamente después de 60
minutos (con corriente de 60Hz).
ADVERTENCIA: las placas se volverán
extremadamente calientes en segundos;
evite el contacto con la piel después de
encender el aparato.
Divida el cabello en secciones de 2 pulgadas
(5cm) de ancho por ½ pulgada (1.5 cm) o
menos de espesor. Abra las placas y coloque
una sección de cabello entre ellas, cerca del
cuero cabelludo. Cierre las placas. Baje la
plancha lentamente hasta las puntas,
manteniendo las placas bien cerradas. Suelte el
cabello tras llegar a las puntas. Repita el
proceso con cada sección de cabello. Según la
textura del cabello, puede que sea necesario
repetir el proceso varias veces en cada sección.
Será necesario experimentar un poco al
principio. Con práctica, encontrará la manera
perfecta para alisar su cabello fácil y
rápidamente.
NOTA: véase la tabla a continuación para
determinar qué nivel de temperatura usar,
según el tipo de cabello.
REVESTIMIENTO DE DOBLE CERÁMICA
El revestimiento de deslizamiento fácil con doble
cerámica es lo último – y lo mejor – en tecnología
de aparatos de peluquería. El cabello se desliza
fácilmente entre las placas y éstas son muy fáciles
de limpiar después de cada uso. La superficie única

Gire la muñeca hacia arriba o abajo para doblar
las puntas hacia fuera/dentro, rizar o dar cuerpo.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your fl at iron is virtually maintenance free.
No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and
openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning
becomes necessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, allow to cool and wipe
exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition
occurs, unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and
return it for repair to an authorized service
representative only. No repairs should be
attempted by the consumer.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled,
twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap the cord
tightly around the appliance. Damage will occur
at the high fl ex point of entry into the appliance,
causing it to rupture and short circuit. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use
immediately if damage is visible or if unit stops
or operates intermittently.
STORAGE
When not in use, your appliance is easy to store.
Allow appliance to cool, then store in a safe, dry
location, out of reach of children. Do not jerk or
strain cord at plug connections.
Do not wrap the line cord tightly around the
appliance. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose
and straight at the point of entry into the
appliance.
