result in personal injury and property damage.

When using electrical appliances, especially when children are
present, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
To reduce the risk of electrocution:
1. Always unplug the appliance immediately after using.
2. When unplugging the appliance, always pull on the plug
itself, not the cord.
3. Never use the appliance near water, and keep it away
from sinks, baths and other similar containers. The proximity
of water is hazardous, even if the appliance is turned off.
4. Do not use while bathing.
5. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled
into a tub or sink.
6. Do not immerse the appliance, cord or plug in water or other
liquids.
7. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water.
Unplug it immediately.
8. If any liquid gets into the housing, disconnect the appliance
from the power outlet immediately and have it repaired by a
qualified technician.
9. Never touch the appliance, power cord or power plug with

during operation. Position the cord in such a way that it
cannot be pinched or damaged.
11. The appliance should be set up in such a way that you have

To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:
1. An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged

2. Unplug from wall outlet when not in use, in case of operating

providers or by the customer service department. Under no
circumstances should you open the appliance yourself. Repairs
that are not carried out by a specialist workshop could lead to
physical injuries and will also invalidate any warranty claims.
10. Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter,
or touch hot surfaces. Do not wrap the cord around the
appliance.
11. Do not kink or pinch the power cord, and run the power
cord so that people will not step or trip on it.
12. Never use while sleeping.
13. Never drop or insert any object into any opening or hose.
14. Do not use the appliance outdoors; use in dry indoor
rooms only.
15. Connect this appliance to a properly grounded outlet
only.
16. Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
17. The appliance heats up during use. Do not let eyes or bare
skin touch heated surfaces. Always hold the appliance by
its handle when it is hot. After use, the surfaces of the
heating elements will still have some residual heat.
18. Never cover the appliance or place it on soft objects (e.g.
towels). Always place the turned on/hot appliance on a
steady, flat, heat-resistant surface.
19. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before
cleaning it and stowing it away.

Important Cord Information
This appliance has a polarized plug. To reduce the risk of electric
shock, there is only one way this plug is intended to fit into a
polarized outlet. If the plug does not completely fit into the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
A short power supply cord (or detachable power supply cord)
should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord.

Package contents and initial inspection
The appliance comes standard with the following components:
●Ceramic straightening brush
●Velcro strip to bundle the power cord
●Operating instructions
Check the package for completeness and signs of visible dam-
age. If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a
result of defective packaging or during transport, contact the cus-
tomer service hotline (see “3 year limited warranty“ section).
Unpacking
RISK OF INJURY!
Packaging materials should not be used as a toy.
Risk of suffocation!
♦Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating
instructions from the box.
♦Remove all packaging materials.
♦Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section
entitled "Cleaning".
If possible, keep the appliance’s original packaging during the
warranty period so that the appliance can be packed properly
for return shipment in the event of a warranty claim.

Operation
Turning the appliance on/off and setting the
temperature
♦Connect the power plug to a power socket.
♦Press and hold the ON/OFF button 5 for approx. 2 seconds
to turn the appliance on. 356f (= 356°F) flashes on the dis-
play 2, and the appliance begins to heat up.
♦Use the "+/-" 3 4 buttons to set a temperature between
212°F and 356°F in 18°F increments. The selected
temperature begins to blink on the display 2.
Once the set temperature has been reached, the display 2
lights up continuously.
♦Press and hold the ON/OFF button 5 for approx. 2 seconds
to turn the appliance off.
♦Disconnect the power plug and allow the appliance to cool
down.
Button lock
To prevent any accidental changes to the temperature setting
when straightening your hair, you can manually activate a button
lock:
♦Press and hold the "+" button 3 for approx. 2 seconds.
The buttons are locked and the lock symbol lights up on the
display 2.
♦Press and hold the "+" button 3 again for approx. 2 seconds
to deactivate the button lock. The buttons are unlocked and the
lock symbol on the display 2 turns off.

Automatic shut-off
If you do not press any buttons for 40 minutes while the appliance
is on, the display 2 will begin to blink. After another five minutes,
the appliance will shut off automatically and the display 2 will
turn off.
Press and hold the ON/OFF button 5 for approx. 2 seconds
to turn the appliance back on.
Automatic shut-off is a safety function only and does not mean
you should not shut off your appliance using the ON/OFF
button 5!
Selecting the right temperature
Hair type Recommended

Colored blonde/highlighted hair 212–248°F
Fine, colored hair 248–284°F
Normal to strong, natural hair 284–356°F
Always begin with the lowest temperature recommended for the
hair type to be treated.
If necessary, gradually increase the temperature until you reach
the ideal temperature setting.

Straightening hair
RISK OF BURNS!
Make sure not to touch your scalp or skin with the ceramic coating 1.
Excessive temperatures, excessively long contact with the hair or
too frequent straightening can damage your hair. Do not treat
the same strands of hair multiple times, especially at higher
temperatures.
Your hair should be clean, dry and free of styling products.
Products designed specifically for hair straightening are an
exception.
♦Carefully brush your dry hair.
♦Turn the appliance on and choose the right temperature.
♦Separate a strand of hair about 1.5 inches wide and hold it
at the end between the index and middle fingers of your free
hand.
♦Now, evenly run the appliance through this strand from your
scalp to the ends. Do not remain at any single spot for too
long.
♦Continue strand by strand until you have straightened all your
hair.
♦When you are finished, turn off the appliance and disconnect
the power plug. Allow the appliance to cool off before you put
it away.

Cleaning
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power plug from
the power socket!
Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids during
cleaning!
RISK OF BURNS!
Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before cleaning it.
PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not use any aggressive cleaning liquids or solvents.
They could attack the surface.
♦If hair gets tangled in the bristles of the appliance, carefully
remove it, for example with your fingers.
♦If necessary, wipe the appliance with a damp cloth.
♦Allow the appliance to dry well before using it again or putting
it away.
Storage
RISK OF BURNS!
Allow the appliance to cool sufficiently before storing it.
♦You can hang the appliance up by the hook 6.
If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period
of time:
♦Clean the appliance as described in the "Cleaning" section.
♦Bundle the power cord and secure it using the provided Velcro
strip.
♦Store the appliance in a clean and dry location.

Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
Electrical appliances may not be thrown away as part of normal
household trash. If you can no longer use your electrical appli-
ance, dispose of it in accordance with the legal provisions appli-
cable in your state. This will ensure that old electrical appliances
are recycled and environmental pollution is kept to a minimum.

Disposal of packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during
transport. The packaging materials have been selected for their
environmental friendliness and ease of disposal, and are therefore
recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle conserves
raw materials and reduces the amount of waste that is
generated. Dispose of packaging materials that are no
longer needed in accordance with applicable local reg-
ulations.
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly
manner. Note the marking on the different packaging
materials and separate them as necessary. The packag-
ing materials are marked with abbreviations (a) and
numbers (b) with the following meanings: 1–7: Plastics,

What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
●Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
●Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to follow
the safety and maintenance instructions provided in the user
manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
●Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts
(such as switches, glass, etc.);
●Improper use or transport;
●Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
●Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.);
●Tampering with the product (such as removing cover, unscrewing

Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered under

Primer uso
Contenido del empaque e inspección inicial
El dispositivo se entrega de manera estándar con los siguientes
componentes:
●Cepillo alisador de cerámica
●Cinta de Velcro para enredar el cable de alimentación
●Instructivo de operación
Verifique que el paquete esté completo y no muestre signos
visibles de daño. Si la entrega está incompleta o si ha ocurrido
daño debido al empaque defectuoso o durante el transporte,
póngase en contacto con la línea directa de servicio al cliente
(vea la sección “Garantía limitada de 3 años”).
Desempaque

Si es posible, conserve el empaque original del dispositivo
durante el periodo de garantía para que el dispositivo pueda
ser empaquetado adecuadamente para su devolución en caso
de una reclamación de garantía.
Operación
Encendido y apagado del dispositivo y ajuste de la
temperatura
♦Conecte la clavija en una toma de corriente.
♦Presione y mantenga así el botón de Encendido/Apagado 5
durante aproximadamente 2 segundos para encender el
dispositivo. 356f (= 356°F) destella en la pantalla 2, y el
dispositivo comienza a calentarse.
♦Use los botones "+/-" 3 4 para establecer una temperatura
entre 212°F y 356°F en incrementos de 18°F . La temperatura
seleccionada comienza a parpadear en la pantalla 2.
Una vez que se haya alcanzado la temperatura establecida,
la pantalla 2 se ilumina permanentemente.
♦Presione y mantenga así el botón de Encendido/Apagado 5
durante aproximadamente 2 segundos para apagar el dispositivo.
♦Desconecte la clavija y permita que el dispositivo se enfríe.
Seguro de botón
Para prevenir cualquier cambio accidental al ajuste de temperatura
cuando se alacia el cabello, puede activar manualmente un seguro
de botón:
♦Presione y mantenga así el botón "+" 3 durante aproximada-
mente 2 segundos.
Los botones están bloqueados y el símbolo de bloqueo se
ilumina en la pantalla 2.
♦Presione y mantenga así el botón "+" 3 nuevamente durante
aproximadamente 2 segundos para desactivar el seguro de
botón. Los botones están desbloqueados y el símbolo de
bloqueo se apaga en la pantalla 2.

Apagado automático
Si no presiona ninguno de los botones durante 40 minutos mientras
el dispositivo está encendido, la pantalla 2 comenzará a parpa-
dear. Después de otros 5 minutos, el dispositivo se apagará auto-
máticamente y la pantalla 2 se apagará.
Presione y mantenga así el botón de Encendido/Apagado 5
durante aproximadamente 2 segundos para volver a encender el
dispositivo.
La función de apagado automático es solamente una función
de seguridad y esto no significa que usted no deberá apagar el
dispositivo con el botón de Encendido/Apagado 5.

Alisado de cabello
¡RIESGO DE QUEMADURAS!
Asegúrese de no tocar el cuero cabelludo o la piel con el
recubrimiento cerámico 1.
Las temperaturas altas, el contacto excesivamente prolongado
con el cabello, o el alisado frecuente pueden dañar el cabello.
No trate los mismos mechones de cabello varias veces, especial-
mente a temperaturas altas.
El cabello debe estar limpio, seco y no tener productos para pei-
nado. Los productos diseñados específicamente para alaciar el
cabello son una excepción.
♦Cepíllese el cabello con cuidado hasta secarlo.
♦Encienda el dispositivo y seleccione la temperatura adecuada.
♦Separe un mechón de cabello de aproximadamente 4 cm de
ancho y sosténgalo entre los dedos índice y medio de la mano
libre.
♦Ahora pase de manera uniforme el dispositivo a través de este
mechón desde el cuero cabelludo hasta las puntas.
No permanezca en un solo punto demasiado tiempo.
♦Continúe mechón por mechón hasta que haya alisado todo el
cabello.
♦Cuando termine, apague el dispositivo y desconecte la clavija.
Deje que el dispositivo se enfríe antes de guardarlo.

Eliminación del dispositivo
