The plug disconnects the instrument. Therefore, place the instrument where it can be quickly disconnected.

The stirred solution may release toxic, dangerous or poisonous gases. Adequate safety measures must be taken, in
accordance with the safety regulations in force, including the presence of hood and personal protective equipment (masks,
gloves, goggles, etc.).

It is responsibility of the user appropriately decontaminate the instrument in case of dangerous substances fall on or in it. It
is also responsibility of the user to use safety substances for cleaning or decontaminating, which do not react with internal
parts of the instrument or with the material contained in it. In case of doubts on the compatibility of a cleaning solution,
contact the manufacturer or local distributor.

Do not use with explosive and dangerous materials for which the equipment is not designed. The stirrer must not be used in
explosive atmospheres, in bain-marie and to stir combustible liquids that have a low combustion temperature. The minimum
fire point of flammable solution is 200 °C. Only small amounts (< 50 ml) of flammable liquid can be used with the device.

In case of black-out, once the power is back the device will restart automatically.

1. Introduction
The MST magnetic stirrer is a small, simple and effective stirrer.
Thanks to the new brushless motor, the stirrer stays cold even after several days of continuous operation.
Thanks to the white cover surface it is specially designed for microtitrations, and it is extremely useful where reliable and
small instrument is needed.
The stirring speed can be set using the frontal knob within a range of 80 - 1500 rpm
The stirrer display shows the speed set point.
The instrument is equipped with advanced functions as auto-reverse of the stirring direction, intermittent mode programs
and integrated timer to meet users’ workflow and safety lock feature to avoid possible alteration of the working conditions.
NOTE: it’s important to choose the most suitable magnetic stirring bar related to the quantity and the liquid to be stirred as
well as to the type of the beaker. The magnetic stirring bar that satisfies most of the application is A00001056 (6x35mm).
2. Installation

➢ Place the unit on a non-flammable surface
➢ Make sure that the technical specification of the unit and the power supply line are the same
➢ Place the flasks containing the sample and a suitable magnetic stirring bar on the stirring plate
➢ Connect the instrument to an easily accessible socket (compliant with the current safety norms), using only the
provided power supply and dedicated plug

3. Operation
• Push the knob to start stirring.
• Rotate the knob to set the stirring speed.
Note: push the knob to stop stirring.
Autoreverse, intermittent mode and timer functions
• While the display shows OFF, push the knob for 3 seconds.
• Rotate the knob to set the autoreverse time (minutes/seconds).
The rotation direction will change after each set interval time.
Note: select NNSS to disable the function.

• Push the knob. Then rotate it to set the run time of the intermittent mode (minutes/seconds).
Note: select NNSS to disable the function.
• Push the knob. Then rotate it to set the pause time of the intermittent mode (minutes/seconds).
The stirring function will be interrupted cyclically. The run time and the pause time should both be set.
Note: select NNSS to disable the function.
• Push the knob. Then rotate it to set the timer (hours/seconds).
After the timer has elapsed, the stirring will be stopped and the display will show End.
Note: select HHnn to disable the function.
• Push the knob or wait 10 seconds to confirm.
Dedicated blinking leds show the active functions.
Note: each function can be set individually or in combination with the others.

Lock function
• While the unit is working, push the knob for 3 seconds to enable the lock function.
If the lock function is enabled, it is not possible to change the work conditions. The display shows Lock if the knob is
pressed or rotated.
Note: push the knob for 3 seconds to disable the function.
4. Maintenance
No routine or extraordinary maintenance is necessary except periodically cleaning.
Cleaning
Disconnect the unit from the power supply and use a cloth dampened with a non-flammable non-aggressive detergent.
Repair
Repairs must be carried out by authorized Velp personnel only.
The instrument must be moved using the original shockproof packaging when freight forwarders, couriers or other are taking
care of the unit transport. Follow the indications on the original packaging (e.g. place the instrument on a pallet).
It is the responsibility of the user, to properly decontaminate the unit in case of hazardous substances remaining on the
surface or interior of the device. If in doubt about the compatibility of a cleaning or decontamination product, contact the
manufacturer or distributor.

1. Introduzione
L’agitatore magnetico modello MST, è un piccolo agitatore semplice ed efficace appositamente studiato per microtitolazioni
ma adatto anche per tutte quelle applicazioni laddove serva uno strumento affidabile e di dimensioni ridotte.
Grazie al motore brushless, il piano di agitazione rimane freddo anche dopo diversi giorni di funzionamento in continuo.
La struttura realizzata con tecno-polimero garantisce un’elevata resistenza agli agenti chimici.
La velocità di agitazione può essere impostata, utilizzando la manopola frontale, in un range 80 – 1500 rpm.
Il display mostra la velocità di set point.
Lo strumento è dotato di funzioni avanzate come l’inversione automatica del senso di rotazione, la modalità intermittente e il
timer integrato per soddisfare le esigenze degli operatori e della funzione di blocco per evitare possibili cambiamenti delle
impostazioni indesiderati.
NOTA: è importante scegliere l’ancoretta magnetica più adeguata al tipo di liquido in agitazione e al tipo di becher utilizzato.
L’ancoretta che soddisfa la maggior parte delle applicazioni è la A00001056 (6x35 mm).
2. Installazione

3. Funzionamento
• Premere la manopola per avviare l’agitazione.
• Ruotare la manopola per impostare la velocità di agitazione.
Nota: premere la manopola per fermare l’agitazione.
Autoreverse, modalità intermittente e timer
• Quando il display mostra OFF, premere la manopola per 3 secondi.
• Ruotare la manopola per impostare il tempo di autoreverse (minuti/secondi).
Il senso di rotazione verrà invertito ogni intervallo di tempo impostato.
Nota: impostare NNSS per disabilitare questa funzione.

• Premere la manopola. Dopodiché, ruotarla per impostare il tempo di funzionamento della modalità intermittente
(minuti/secondi).

Pulizia

1. Introduction
L'agitateur magnétique MST est un agitateur petit, simple et efficace.
Grâce au moteur sans balai, l’agitateur reste froid même après plusieurs jours de fonctionnement continu.
La surface blanche, spécialement conçu pour microtitrations, est extrêmement utile lorsque instrument fiable et petit est
nécessaire.
La vitesse d'agitation peut être réglée dans une plage allant de 80 à 1800 tr/min, à l'aide du bouton situé sur le panneau
avant.
L'afficheur indique la vitesse du point de consigne.
L'instrument est équipé de fonctions avancées telles que l'inversion automatique du sens de brassage, des programmes de
mode intermittent et une minuterie intégrée pour répondre au flux de travail des utilisateurs et un dispositif de verrouillage
de sécurité pour éviter toute altération éventuelle des conditions de travail.
Remarque: Il est important de choisir le barreaux magnétique le mieux adapté au type de liquide à agiter et au type de

Réparations
Les réparations ne doivent être effectuées que par du personnel Velp autorisé.
Le transport de l'instrument par des transitaires, des messagers ou autres, doit être effectué dans son emballage d'origine
résistant aux chocs, dont il est doté lors de son expédition de neuf. Suivez les instructions, le cas échéant, sur la même

1. Introducción
El agitador magnético MST es un agitador pequeño, simple y eficaz.
Debido al nuevo motore sin escobillas, el agitador permanece frío incluso después de varios días de funcionamiento

1. Einleitung
Der MST-Magnetrührer, mit ABS-Struktur, ist klein, einfach und rührt effektiv.
Durch den neuen bürstenlosen Motor erhitzt sich das Rührwerk auch nach mehreren Tagen Dauerbetrieb nicht.
Sehr geschätzt in der Mikrobiologie und der Biochemie.
Die technopolymer Struktur gibt an den Instrument eine hervorragende Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen den Angriff von
Chemikalien und Korrosion.
Der Geschwindigkeitsbereich ist von 80 bis 1500 U/min und kann einstellbar sein durch den Knopf auf der Vorderseite.
Die Rührwerksanzeige zeigt den Geschwindigkeitssollwert an.
