SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

In the interest of your safety and to ensure

the correct use, before installing and first

using the appliance, read this user manual

carefully, including its hints and warnings.

To avoid unnecessary mistakes and acci-

dents, it is important to ensure that all

people using the appliance are thoroughly

familiar with its operation and safety fea-

tures. Save these instructions and make

sure that they remain with the appliance if

it is moved or sold, so that everyone using

it through its life will be properly informed

on appliance use and safety.

For the safety of life and property keep

the precautions of these user's instruc-

tions as the manufacturer is not responsi-

ble for damages caused by omission.

1.1 Children and vulnerable

people safety

• This appliance is not intended for use

by persons (including children) with re-

duced physical, sensory or mental ca-

pabilities, or lack of experience and

knowledge, unless they have been giv-

en supervision or instruction concerning

use of the appliance by a person re-

sponsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to en-

sure that they do not play with the ap-

pliance.

• Keep all packaging well away from chil-

dren. There is risk of suffocation.

• If you are discarding the appliance pull

the plug out of the socket, cut the con-

nection cable (as close to the appliance

as you can) and remove the door to

prevent playing children to suffer elec-

tric shock or to close themselves into it.

• If this appliance featuring magnetic

door seals is to replace an older appli-

ance having a spring lock (latch) on the

door or lid, be sure to make that spring

lock unusable before you discard the

old appliance. This will prevent it from

becoming a death trap for a child.

1.2 General safety

WARNING!

Keep ventilation openings, in the appli-

ance enclosure or in the built-in structure,

clear of obstruction.

• The appliance is intended for keeping

foodstuff and/or beverages in a normal

household and similar applications such

as:

– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices

and other working environments;

– farm houses and by clients in hotels,

motels and other residential type en-

vironments;

– bed and breakfast type environ-

ments;

– catering and similar non-retail appli-

cations.

• Do not use a mechanical device or any

artificial means to speed up the thawing

process.

• Do not use other electrical appliances

(such as ice cream makers) inside of re-

frigerating appliances, unless they are

approved for this purpose by the manu-

facturer.

• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

• The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is

contained within the refrigerant circuit of

the appliance, a natural gas with a high

level of environmental compatibility,

which is nevertheless flammable.

During transportation and installation of

the appliance, be certain that none of

the components of the refrigerant cir-

cuit become damaged.

If the refrigerant circuit should become

damaged:

– avoid open flames and sources of ig-

nition

– thoroughly ventilate the room in

which the appliance is situated

• It is dangerous to alter the specifica-

tions or modify this product in any way.

Any damage to the cord may cause a

short-circuit, fire and/or electric shock.

WARNING!

Any electrical component (power

cord, plug, compressor) must be

replaced by a certified service

agent or qualified service person-

nel to avoid hazard.

Power cord must not be length-

ened.

Make sure that the power plug is

not squashed or damaged by the

back of the appliance. A squashed

or damaged power plug may over-

heat and cause a fire.

Make sure that you can come to

the mains plug of the appliance.

Do not pull the mains cable.

If the power plug socket is loose,

do not insert the power plug. There

is a risk of electric shock or fire.

You must not operate the appli-

ance without the lamp cover (if

foreseen) of interior lighting.

• This appliance is heavy. Care should be

taken when moving it.

• Do not remove nor touch items from

the freezer compartment if your hands

are damp/wet, as this could cause skin

abrasions or frost/freezer burns.

• Avoid prolonged exposure of the appli-

ance to direct sunlight.

• Bulb lamps (if foreseen) used in this ap-

pliance are special purpose lamps se-

lected for household appliances use

only. They are not suitable for house-

hold room illumination.

1.3 Daily Use

• Do not put hot pot on the plastic parts

in the appliance.

• Do not store flammable gas and liquid

in the appliance, because they may ex-

plode.

• Do not place food products directly

against the air outlet on the rear wall. (If

the appliance is Frost Free)

• Frozen food must not be re-frozen once

it has been thawed out.

• Store pre-packed frozen food in ac-

cordance with the frozen food manu-

facturer's instructions.

• Appliance's manufacturers storage rec-

ommendations should be strictly ad-

hered to. Refer to relevant instructions.

• Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks

in the freezer compartment as it creates

pressure on the container, which may

cause it to explode, resulting in damage

to the appliance.

• Ice lollies can cause frost burns if con-

sumed straight from the appliance.

1.4 Care and cleaning

• Before maintenance, switch off the ap-

pliance and disconnect the mains plug

from the mains socket.

• Do not clean the appliance with metal

objects.

• Do not use sharp objects to remove

frost from the appliance. Use a plastic

scraper.

• Regularly examine the drain in the re-

frigerator for defrosted water. If neces-

sary, clean the drain. If the drain is

blocked, water will collect in the bottom

of the appliance.

1.5 Installation

For electrical connection carefully

follow the instructions given in

specific paragraphs.

• Unpack the appliance and check if

there are damages on it. Do not con-

nect the appliance if it is damaged. Re-

port possible damages immediately to

the place you bought it. In that case re-

tain packing.

• It is advisable to wait at least four hours

before connecting the appliance to al-

low the oil to flow back in the compres-

sor.

• Adequate air circulation should be

around the appliance, lacking this leads

to overheating. To achieve sufficient

ventilation follow the instructions rele-

vant to installation.

• Wherever possible the back of the

product should be against a wall to

avoid touching or catching warm parts

(compressor, condenser) to prevent

possible burn.

• The appliance must not be located

close to radiators or cookers.

• Make sure that the mains plug is acces-

sible after the installation of the appli-

ance.

• Connect to potable water supply only (If

a water connection is foreseen).

1.6 Service

• Any electrical work required to do the

servicing of the appliance should be

carried out by a qualified electrician or

competent person.

• This product must be serviced by an

authorized Service Centre, and only

genuine spare parts must be used.

1.7 Environment Protection

This appliance does not contain

gasses which could damage the

ozone layer, in either its refrigerant

circuit or insulation materials. The

appliance shall not be discarded

together with the urban refuse and

rubbish. The insulation foam con-

tains flammable gases: the appli-

ance shall be disposed according

to the applicable regulations to

obtain from your local authorities.

Avoid damaging the cooling unit,

especially at the rear near the heat

exchanger. The materials used on

this appliance marked by the sym-

bol

are recyclable.

2.2 Switching on

After plugging the plug into the power

outlet, if the display is not illuminated,

press ON/OFF switch.

As soon as the appliance is turned on, the

following signals will appear on the control

panel:

• Positive or negative temperature indica-

tor will be positive, indicating that the

temperature is positive

• the temperature flashes, the back-

ground of the display is red and you will

hear a buzzer.

Press Function button and the buzzer will

go off (also refer to "Excessive tempera-

ture alarm" ).

Set the desired temperature (refer to

"Temperature regulation").

2.3 Switching off

The appliance is shut off by pressing ON/

OFF switch for more than 1 second.

After this, a countdown of the tempera-

ture from -3 -2 -1 will be shown.

When the appliance is switched off, Dis-

play also goes off.

2.4 Switching off the fridge

compartment

To switch off the refrigerator compart-

ment, rotate the Fridge temperature set-

ting regulator counter- clockwise till posi-

tion "O".

The freezer compartment will keep on

working.

Once the refrigerator compartment is shut

off, the only temperature which is indica-

ted is the one of the freezer compartment.

In this condition, the lighting in the refrig-

erator compartment will be switched off.

2.5 Temperature Indication

Each time the Fridge-Freezer temperature

indication button is pressed, the display

indicates in sequence:

– The Fridge compartment indicator

is on.

– The display indicates the fridge

temperature.

– The Freezer compartment indicator

is on.

– The display indicates the freezer

temperature.

In any case, after 10 seconds normal dis-

play conditions are restored.

2.6 Functions menu

Each time Function button is pressed, the

following functions are activated in a

clockwise direction:

• Action Freeze function

• Shopping function

• D.A.C. function

• no symbol: normal operation.

You can set one function ON at a

time.

To set the functions OFF, press the Func-

tion button several times until no icon ap-

pears.

2.7 Temperature regulation

The temperature within the appliance is

controlled by the Temperature regulator.

The temperature of the fridge compart-

ment may be regulated by rotating the

Fridge temperature regulator, and may

vary between more or less +2°C and

+8°C.

The temperature of the freezer compart-

ment may be regulated by rotating the

Freezer temperature regulator, and may

vary between more or less -15°C and

-24°C.

For a correct storage of the food the fol-

lowing temperatures should be set:

+5°C in the fridge

-18°C in the freezer.

During normal functioning the Tempera-

ture indicator shows the temperature cur-

rently set.

To operate the appliance, proceed as fol-

lows:

• turn the Temperature regulator clock-

wise to obtain the maximum coldness

• turn the Temperature regulator counter-

clockwise to obtain the minimum cold-

ness.

The intermediate position is usually the

most suitable.

However, the exact setting should be

chosen keeping in mind that the tempera-

ture inside the appliance depends on:

• room temperature

• how often the door is opened

• the quantity of food stored

• the location of the appliance.

In normal conditions.

2.8 Shopping Function

If you need to insert a large amount of

warm food, for example after doing the

grocery shopping, we suggest to activate

the Shopping function to chill the prod-

ucts more rapidly and to avoid warming

the other food which is already in the re-

frigerator.

The Shopping function is activated by

pressing Function button (several times if

necessary) until the corresponding icon

appears

The Shopping function shuts off automati-

cally after approximately 6 hours.

During the Shopping function also the fan

inside the refrigerator compartment is au-

tomatically activated.

The fan inside the refrigerator

compartment is automatically acti-

vated also when the room tem-

perature is high (over 38°C), even

though the Shopping function is

not activated.

It is possible to deactivate the function at

any time by pressing Function button (re-

fer to "Functions Menu").

2.9 Action Freeze Function

To freeze fresh foods, you will need to ac-

tivate the Action Freeze function. Press

Function button (several times if necessa-

ry) until the corresponding icon appears.

This function stops automatically after 52

hours.

It is possible to deactivate the function at

any time by pressing Function button (re-

fer to "Functions Menu").

2.10 Excessive temperature

alarm

An increase in the temperature in the

freezer compartment (for example due to

a power failure) is indicated by:

• flashing temperature

• freezer compartment flashing (Freezer

compartment indicator )

• red illumination of display

• sounding of buzzer

•alarm symbol.

When normal conditions are restored:

• the acoustic signal shuts off

• the temperature value continues to

flash

• the display illumination remains red.

When you press Function button / Alarm

reset switch to deactivate the alarm, the

highest temperature reached in the com-

partment appears on indicator

for

some seconds.

At this point the flashing stops and the

display illumination changes over from red

to white.

During the alarm phase, the buzzer can

be switched off by pressing Function but-

ton / Alarm reset switch.

The illumination of the display remains red

until normal storage conditions are re-

stored.

3. DAILY USE

3.1 Cleaning the interior

Before using the appliance for the first

time, wash the interior and all internal ac-

cessories with lukewarm water and some

neutral soap so as to remove the typical

smell of a brand-new product, then dry

thoroughly.

Do not use detergents or abrasive

powders, as these will damage

the finish.

3.2 Temperature Indicator

This appliance is sold in France.

In accordance with regulations

valid in this country it must be

provided with a special device

(see figure) placed in the lower

compartment of the fridge to indi-

cate the coldest zone of it.

3.3 Freezing fresh food

The freezer compartment is suitable for

freezing fresh food and storing frozen and

deep-frozen food for a long time.

To freeze fresh food activate the Action

Freeze function at least 24 hours before

placing the food to be frozen in the freezer

compartment.

Place the fresh food to be frozen in the in

the upper part of the freezer, as this is the

coldest point.

The maximum amount of food that can be

frozen in 24 hours is specified on the rat-

ing plate, a label located on the inside of

the appliance.

The freezing process lasts 24 hours: dur-

ing this period do not add other food to

be frozen.

3.4 Storage of frozen food

When first starting-up or after a period out

of use, before putting the products in the

compartment let the appliance run at least

12 hours on the Action Freeze setting.

If large quantities of food are to be stored,

remove all drawers and baskets from ap-

pliance and place food on cooling shelves

to obtain the best performance.

WARNING!

Make sure that foods do not ex-

ceed the load limit stated on the

side of the upper section (where

applicable)

In the event of accidental defrost-

ing, for example due to a power

failure, if the power has been off

for longer that the value shown in

the technical characteristics chart

under "rising time", the defrosted

food must be consumed quickly

or cooked immediately and then

re-frozen (after cooling).

3.5 Thawing

Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to being

used, can be thawed in the refrigerator

compartment or at room temperature, de-

pending on the time available for this op-

eration.

Small pieces may even be cooked still fro-

zen, directly from the freezer: in this case,

cooking will take longer.

3.6 Cold accumulators

The freezer contains at least one cold ac-

cumulator which increases storage time in

the event of a power cut or breakdown.

3.7 Ice-cube production

This appliance is equipped with one or

more trays for the production of ice-

cubes. Fill these trays with water, then put

them in the freezer compartment.

Do not use metallic instruments to

remove the trays from the freezer.

3.8 Movable shelves

The walls of the refrigerator are equipped

with a series of runners so that the

shelves can be positioned as desired.

For better use of space, the front half-

shelves can lie over the rear ones.

3.9 Positioning the door shelves

To permit storage of food packages of

various sizes, the door shelves can be

placed at different heights.

To make these adjustments proceed as

follow: gradually pull the shelf in the direc-

tion of the arrows until it comes free, then

reposition as required.

3.10 Humidity control

The glass shelf incorporates a device with

slits (adjustable by means of a sliding lev-

er), which makes it possible to regulate

the temperature in the vegetable draw-

er(s).

When the ventilation slots are closed:

the natural moisture content of the food in

the fruit and vegetable compartments is

preserved for longer.

When the ventilation slots are opened:

more air circulation results in a lower air

moisture content in the fruit and vegetable

compartments.

3.11 Air recycling - (D.A.C. Function)

The refrigerator compartment is equipped

with a special D.A.C. (Dynamic Air Cool-

ing) fan.

This device allows rapid cooling of foods

and a more uniform temperature in the

compartment.

Set the fan to ON by pressing the Func-

tion button (several times if necessary) un-

til the corresponding icon appears

It is possible to set the fan OFF at any

time by pressing the Function button until

the icon

goes out of view.

When the ambient temperature exceeds

25°C, set the fan to ON.

When the room temperature is higher

than 38°C or when the Shopping function

is ON, the fan is automatically ON.

4. HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS

4.1 Hints for energy saving

• Do not open the door frequently or

leave it open longer than absolutely

necessary.

• If the ambient temperature is high and

the Temperature Regulator is set to low

temperature and the appliance is fully

loaded, the compressor may run con-

tinuously, causing frost or ice on the

evaporator. If this happens, set the

Temperature Regulator toward warmer

settings to allow automatic defrosting

and so a saving in electricity consump-

tion.

4.2 Hints for fresh food

refrigeration

To obtain the best performance:

• do not store warm food or evaporating

liquids in the refrigerator

• do cover or wrap the food, particularly if

it has a strong flavour

• position food so that air can circulate

freely around it

4.3 Hints for refrigeration

Useful hints:

Meat (all types) : wrap in polythene bags

and place on the glass shelf above the

vegetable drawer.

For safety, store in this way only one or

two days at the most.

Cooked foods, cold dishes, etc.: these

should be covered and may be placed on

any shelf.

Fruits and vegetables: these should be

thoroughly cleaned and placed in the spe-

cial drawer(s) provided. When in contact,

lemon juice can discolor the plastic parts

of your fridge. It is therefore recommen-

ded to keep citruses in separate contain-

ers.

Butter and cheese: these should be

placed in special airtight containers or

wrapped in aluminium foil or polythene

bags to exclude as much air as possible.

Bottles: these should have a cap and

should be stored in the bottle rack on the

door.

Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if

not packed, must not be kept in the re-

frigerator.

4.4 Hints for freezing

To help you make the most of the freezing

process, here are some important hints:

• the maximum quantity of food which

can be frozen in 24 hrs. is shown on

the rating plate;

• the freezing process takes 24 hours.

No further food to be frozen should be

added during this period;

• only freeze top quality, fresh and thor-

oughly cleaned, foodstuffs;

• prepare food in small portions to enable

it to be rapidly and completely frozen

and to make it possible subsequently to

thaw only the quantity required;

• wrap up the food in aluminium foil or

polythene and make sure that the

packages are airtight;

• do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to

touch food which is already frozen, thus

avoiding a rise in temperature of the lat-

ter;

• lean foods store better and longer than

fatty ones; salt reduces the storage life

of food;

• water ices, if consumed immediately af-

ter removal from the freezer compart-

ment, can possibly cause the skin to be

freeze burnt;

• it is advisable to show the freezing in

date on each individual pack to enable

you to keep tab of the storage time.

4.5 Hints for storage of frozen

food

To obtain the best performance from this

appliance, you should:

• make sure that the commercially frozen

foodstuffs were adequately stored by

the retailer;

• be sure that frozen foodstuffs are trans-

ferred from the foodstore to the freezer

in the shortest possible time;

• not open the door frequently or leave it

open longer than absolutely necessary;

• once defrosted, food deteriorates rap-

idly and cannot be refrozen;

• do not exceed the storage period indi-

cated by the food manufacturer.

5. CARE AND CLEANING

CAUTION!

Unplug the appliance before car-

rying out any maintenance opera-

tion.

This appliance contains hydrocar-

bons in its cooling unit; mainte-

nance and recharging must there-

fore only be carried out by author-

ized technicians.

5.1 Periodic cleaning

The equipment has to be cleaned regular-

ly:

• clean the inside and accessories with

lukewarm water and some neutral

soap.

• regularly check the door seals and wipe

clean to ensure they are clean and free

from debris.

• rinse and dry thoroughly.

Do not pull, move or damage any

pipes and/or cables inside the

cabinet.

Never use detergents, abrasive

powders, highly perfumed clean-

ing products or wax polishes to

clean the interior as this will dam-

age the surface and leave a

strong odour.

Clean the condenser (black grill) and the

compressor at the back of the appliance

with a brush. This operation will improve

the performance of the appliance and

save electricity consumption.

Take care of not to damage the

cooling system.

Many proprietary kitchen surface cleaners

contain chemicals that can attack/dam-

age the plastics used in this appliance.

For this reason it is recommended that

the outer casing of this appliance is only

cleaned with warm water with a little

washing-up liquid added.

After cleaning, reconnect the equipment

to the mains supply.

5.2 Defrosting the refrigerator

Frost is automatically eliminated from the

evaporator of the refrigerator compart-

ment every time the motor compressor

stops, during normal use. The defrost wa-

ter drains out through a drain hole into a

special container at the back of the appli-

ance, over the motor compressor, where

it evaporates.

It is important to periodically clean the de-

frost water drain hole in the middle of the

refrigerator compartment channel to pre-

vent the water overflowing and dripping

onto the food inside.

5.3 Defrosting the freezer

A certain amount of frost will always form

on the freezer shelves and around the top

compartment.

Defrost the freezer when the frost layer

reaches a thickness of about 3-5 mm.

About 12 hours prior to defrost-

ing, set the Temperature regulator

toward higher settings, in order to

build up sufficient chill reserve for

the interruption in operation.

To remove the frost, follow the instruc-

tions below:

Switch off the appliance.

Remove any stored food, wrap it in

several layers of newspaper and put it

in a cool place.

CAUTION!

Do not touch frozen goods with

wet hands. Hands can freeze to

the goods.

Leave the door open and insert the

plastic scraper in the appropriate

seating at the bottom centre, placing

a basin underneath to collect the de-

frost water.

In order to speed up the defrost-

ing process, place a pot of warm

water in the freezer compartment.

In addition, remove pieces of ice

that break away before defrosting

is complete.

When defrosting is completed, dry

the interior thoroughly and keep the

scraper for future use.

Switch on the appliance.

After two or three hours, reload the

previously removed food into the

compartment.

Never use sharp metal tools to scrape off

frost from the evaporator as you could

damage it.

Do not use a mechanical device or any ar-

tificial means to speed up the thawing

process other than those recommended

by the manufacturer.

A temperature rise of the frozen food

packs, during defrosting, may shorten

their safe storage life.

5.4 Periods of non-operation

When the appliance is not in use for long

periods, take the following precautions:

•

disconnect the appliance from elec-

tricity supply

• remove all food

• defrost (if foreseen) and clean the appli-

ance and all accessories

• leave the door/doors ajar to prevent un-

pleasant smells.

If the cabinet will be kept on, ask some-

body to check it once in a while to pre-

vent the food inside from spoiling in case

of a power failure.

6. WHAT TO DO IF…

WARNING!

Before troubleshooting, discon-

nect the mains plug from the

mains socket.

Only a qualified electrician or com-

petent person must do the trou-

bleshooting that is not in this man-

ual.

There are some sounds during

normal use (compressor, refriger-

ant circulation).

7.2 Electrical connection

Before plugging in, ensure that the volt-

age and frequency shown on the rating

plate correspond to your domestic power

supply.

The appliance must be earthed. The pow-

er supply cable plug is provided with a

contact for this purpose. If the domestic

power supply socket is not earthed, con-

nect the appliance to a separate earth in

compliance with current regulations, con-

sulting a qualified electrician.

7.3 Door reversibility

The door of the appliance opens to the

right. If you want to open the door to the

left, do these steps before you install the

appliance:

• Loosen the upper pin and remove the

spacer.

• Remove the upper pin and the upper

door.

• Unscrew the pins (B) and spacers (C).

On the opposite side:

• Install the lower pin.

Apply the covers A and A1 (in the accesso-

ries bag) in to the middle hinge.

Install the appliance in the niche.

Push the appliance in the direction of the

arrow (1) until the upper gap cover stops

against the kitchen furniture.

arrow (2) against the cupboard on the op-

posite side of the hinge.

dass zur Vermeidung von Fehlern und Un-

fällen alle Personen, die das Gerät benut-

zen, mit der Bedienung und den Sicher-

heitsvorschriften vertraut sind. Heben Sie

die Gebrauchsanleitung gut auf und über-

geben Sie sie bei einem Weiterverkauf

des Geräts dem neuen Besitzer, so dass

jeder während der gesamten Lebensdau-

er des Geräts über Gebrauch und Sicher-

1.1 Sicherheit von Kindern und

hilfsbedürftigen Personen

• Das Gerät darf von Personen (ein-

schließlich Kindern), deren physische,

sensorische Fähigkeiten und deren

Mangel an Erfahrung und Kenntnissen

einen sicheren Gebrauch des Gerätes

ausschließen nur unter Aufsicht oder

nach ausreichender Einweisung durch

eine verantwortungsbewusste Person

benutzt werden, die sicherstellt, dass

sie sich der Gefahren des Gebrauchs

bewusst sind.

Kinder müssen beaufsichtigt werden,

damit sie nicht am Gerät herumspielen

• Halten Sie das Verpackungsmaterial

• Wenn dieses Gerät mit magnetischer

Türdichtung ein älteres Modell mit

Schnappverschluss (Türlasche) an der

chen Sie den Schnappverschluss vor

dem Entsorgen des Altgerätes un-

brauchbar. So verhindern Sie, dass das

• Beschädigen Sie nicht den Kältekreis-

lauf.

• Das Kältemittel Isobutan (R600a) im

Kältekreislauf des Gerätes ist ein natürli-

ches und sehr umweltfreundliches Gas,

das jedoch leicht entflammbar ist.

Achten Sie beim Transport und bei der

Montage des Gerätes darauf, nicht die

Komponenten des Kältekreislaufs zu

beschädigen.

• Technische und anderweitige Änderun-

gen am Gerät sind gefährlich. Ein de-

fektes Netzkabel kann Kurzschlüsse

und einen Brand verursachen und/oder

zu Stromschlägen führen.

WARNUNG!

Elektrische Bauteile (Netzkabel,

Stecker, Kompressor) dürfen zur

Vermeidung von Gefahren nur

vom Kundendienst oder einer

Fachkraft ausgewechselt werden.

Das Netzkabel darf nicht verlängert

werden.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der

Netzstecker nicht von der Geräte-

rückseite eingeklemmt oder be-

schädigt wird. Ein eingeklemmter

oder beschädigter Netzstecker

überhitzt und kann einen Brand

verursachen.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der

Netzstecker des Gerätes frei zu-

gänglich ist.

Ziehen Sie nicht am Netzkabel.

Stecken Sie den Netzstecker nie-

mals in eine lockere Steckdose. Es

besteht Brand- und Stromschlag-

gefahr.

Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht ohne

Lampenabdeckung (falls vorhan-

den) für die Innenbeleuchtung.

• Dieses Gerät ist schwer. Seien Sie vor-

sichtig beim Transport.

• Entnehmen oder berühren Sie nie mit

nassen/feuchten Händen Tiefkühlgut,

da dies zu Hautverletzungen oder Käl-

teverbrennungen führen kann.

• Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht über eine

längere Zeit direkter Sonneneinstrah-

lung aus.

• Die Leuchtmittel (falls vorhanden) in die-

sem Gerät sind Speziallampen, die nur

für Haushaltsgeräte geeignet sind! Sie

eignen sich nicht zur Raumbeleuch-

tung.

1.3 Täglicher Gebrauch

• Stellen Sie keine heißen Töpfe auf die

Kunststoffteile des Gerätes.

• Lagern Sie keine feuergefährlichen Ga-

se oder Flüssigkeiten in dem Gerät. Ex-

plosionsgefahr.

• Legen Sie Lebensmittel nicht direkt vor

den Luftauslass in der Rückwand.

(Wenn es ein No-Frost-Gerät ist)

• Ein aufgetautes Produkt darf nicht wie-

der eingefroren werden.

• Abgepackte Tiefkühlkost immer ent-

sprechend den Herstellerangaben auf-

bewahren.

• Die Lagerempfehlungen des Geräte-

herstellers sollten strikt eingehalten wer-

den. Halten Sie sich an die betreffenden

Anweisungen.

• Keine kohlensäurehaltigen Getränke

oder Sprudel in den Tiefkühlschrank

stellen, da der Druckanstieg in den Be-

hältern zur Explosion führen und das

Gerät beschädigen kann.

• Eis am Stiel kann Kälteverbrennungen

verursachen, wenn es direkt nach der

Entnahme aus dem Gefrierschrank ge-

gessen wird.

1.4 Reinigung und Pflege

• Schalten Sie vor Wartungsarbeiten im-

mer das Gerät ab und ziehen Sie den

Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

• Reinigen Sie das Gerät nicht mit Metall-

gegenständen.

• Keine scharfen Gegenstände zum Ent-

fernen von Reif und Eis im Gerät ver-

wenden. Verwenden Sie einen Kunst-

stoffschaber.

• Kontrollieren Sie den Tauwasserabfluss

im Kühlraum in regelmäßigen Abstän-

den. Reinigen Sie den Ablauf, falls nö-

tig. Bei verstopftem Wasserabfluss

sammelt sich das Wasser auf dem Bo-

den des Geräts an.

1.5 Montage

Halten Sie sich für den elektri-

schen Anschluss strikt an die An-

weisungen der betreffenden Ab-

schnitte.

• Kontrollieren Sie nach dem Auspacken

das Gerät auf eventuelle Beschädigun-

gen. Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Be-

trieb, wenn es beschädigt ist. Melden

Sie die Schäden umgehend dem Händ-

ler, bei dem Sie es erworben haben.

Bewahren Sie in diesem Fall die Verpa-

ckung auf.

• Lassen Sie das Gerät mindestens vier

Stunden stehen, bevor Sie es elektrisch

anschließen, damit das Öl in den Kom-

pressor zurückfließen kann.

• Ausreichenden Freiraum zur Luftzirkula-

tion um das Gerät lassen; anderenfalls

besteht Überhitzungsgefahr. Halten Sie

sich für die Belüftung an die Installati-

onsanweisungen.

• Das Gerät sollte zur Vermeidung von

Verbrennungen durch Berührung von

heißen Bauteilen (Kompressor, Konden-

sator) möglichst mit der Rückseite ge-

gen eine Wand aufgestellt werden.

• Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von

Heizkörpern oder Kochern installiert

werden.

• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Netz-

stecker des Gerätes nach der Installati-

on frei zugänglich ist.

• Wenn ein Wasseranschluss vorgesehen

ist, verbinden Sie das Gerät nur mit

dem Trinkwasseranschluss.

1.6 Kundendienst

• Sollte die Wartung des Gerätes elektri-

sche Arbeiten verlangen, so dürfen die-

se nur von einem qualifizierten Elektriker

oder einem Elektro-Fachmann durch-

geführt werden.

• Wenden Sie sich für Reparaturen und

Wartung nur an Fachkräfte der autori-

sierten Kundendienststellen und verlan-

gen Sie stets Original-Ersatzteile.

1.7 Umweltschutz

Das Gerät enthält im Kältekreis

oder in dem Isoliermaterial keine

ozonschädigenden Gase. Das

Gerät darf nicht wie normaler

Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Die

Isolierung enthält entzündliche

Gase: das Gerät muss gemäß den

geltenden Vorschriften entsorgt

werden; sie erhalten diese bei Ih-

rer Gemeindeverwaltung. Nicht

das Kälteaggregat beschädigen,

insbesondere nicht in der Nähe

des Wärmetauschers. Die Materi-

alien, die bei der Herstellung die-

ses Geräts verwendet wurden und

mit dem Symbol

markiert sind,

können recycelt werden.

2.2 Einschalten des Geräts

Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Netz-

steckdose. Sollte das Display nicht auf-

leuchten, drücken Sie die EIN/AUS-Taste.

Nach dem Einschalten des Geräts wird

auf dem Bedienfeld Folgendes angezeigt:

• Die Temperaturvorzeichenanzeige zeigt

ein Pluszeichen an

• Die Temperaturanzeige blinkt, der Hin-

tergrund des Displays leuchtet rot und

es ertönt ein Signalton.

Drücken Sie die Funktionstaste, um den

Summton abzuschalten (siehe auch

„Temperaturwarnung”).

Stellen Sie die gewünschte Temperatur

ein (siehe "Temperaturregulierung").

2.3 Ausschalten des Geräts

Das Gerät wird ausgeschaltet, wenn Sie

die EIN/AUS-Taste länger als 1 Sekunde

gedrückt halten.

Danach wird ein Temperatur-Countdown

(-3 -2 -1) angezeigt.

Nach dem Ausschalten des Geräts er-

lischt auch das Display.

2.4 Ausschalten des Kühlraums

Um den Kühlraum auszuschalten, drehen

Sie den Temperaturregler für den Kühl-

raum entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn in die

Position „O“.

Der Gefrierraum bleibt dabei weiterhin ein-

geschaltet.

Nach dem Ausschalten des Kühlraums

wird nur die Temperatur des Gefrierraums

weiterhin angezeigt.

Die Kühlraumbeleuchtung wird bei ausge-

schaltetem Kühlraum ebenfalls ausge-

schaltet.

2.5 Temperaturanzeige

Wenn die Taste für die Temperaturanzei-

ge des Kühl-/Gefrierschranks gedrückt

wird, zeigt das Display nacheinander Fol-

gendes an:

– Die Anzeige des Kühlschranks

leuchtet.

– Das Display zeigt die Kühlschrank-

temperatur an.

– Die Anzeige des Gefrierschranks

leuchtet.

– Das Display zeigt die Temperatur

im Gefrierschrank an.

Nach 10 Sekunden werden stets die nor-

malen Anzeigebedingungen wiederherge-

stellt.

2.6 Funktionsmenü

Mit jedem Drücken der Funktionstaste

werden nacheinander die folgenden Funk-

tionen aktiviert:

• Action Freeze-Funktion

• Shopping-Funktion

• D.A.C.-Funktion

Drücken Sie zum Ausschalten der Funkti-

onen mehrmals die Funktionstaste, bis

kein Symbol mehr angezeigt wird.

2.7 Temperaturregelung

Die Temperatur im Gerät wird vom Tem-

peraturregler geregelt.

Die Temperatur im Kühlraum kann durch

Drehen des Temperaturreglers für den

Kühlraum eingestellt werden. Der Einstell-

bereich liegt zwischen ca. +2 °C und +8

°C.

Die Temperatur im Gefrierraum kann

durch Drehen des Temperaturreglers für

den Gefrierraum eingestellt werden. Der

Einstellbereich liegt zwischen ca. -15 °C

und -24 °C.

Für eine ordnungsgemäße Lagerung von

Lebensmitteln sollten Sie folgende Tem-

peraturen einstellen:

+5 °C im Kühlraum

-18 °C im Gefrierraum.

Im Normalbetrieb zeigt die Temperaturan-

zeige die aktuell eingestellte Temperatur

an.

Bedienen Sie das Gerät wie folgt:

• Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler im

Uhrzeigersinn, um die maximal mögli-

• Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler ent-

gegen dem Uhrzeigersinn, um die ge-

ringste Kühlung einzustellen.

Eine mittlere Stellung ist im Allgemeinen

am besten geeignet.

Allerdings muss für eine exakte Einstel-

lung berücksichtigt werden, dass die

Temperatur im Inneren des Geräts von

verschiedenen Faktoren abhängt:

•Raumtemperatur

• Häufigkeit des Öffnens der Tür

• Menge der eingelagerten Lebensmittel

• Standort des Geräts.

2.8 Funktion Shopping

Wenn Sie eine größere Menge noch nicht

gekühlter Lebensmittel lagern möchten,

zum Beispiel nach einem Einkauf, emp-

fehlen wir das Einschalten der Funktion

Shopping, um einerseits ein schnelleres

Abkühlen der Produkte zu gewährleisten

und andererseits zu vermeiden, dass sich

die Wärme auf die bereits im Kühlschrank

befindlichen Lebensmittel überträgt.

Die Funktion Shopping wird aktiviert, in-

dem Sie die Funktionstaste (gegebenen-

falls mehrmals) drücken, bis das ge-

wünschte Symbol erscheint

Die Funktion Shopping wird nach etwa 6

Stunden automatisch abgeschaltet.

Während der Shopping-Funktion wird

auch der Ventilator im Kühlraum automa-

tisch eingeschaltet.

Der Ventilator im Inneren des

Kühlraums wird auch dann auto-

matisch aktiviert, wenn die Raum-

temperatur hoch ist (über 38°C),

selbst wenn die Shopping-Funkti-

on nicht aktiviert ist.

Sie kann jederzeit durch Drücken der

Funktionstaste (siehe „Funktionsmenü”)

ausgeschaltet werden

2.9 Action Freeze Funktion

Zum Einfrieren frischer Lebensmittel müs-

sen Sie die Funktion Action Freeze ein-

schalten. Drücken Sie die Funktionstaste

gegebenenfalls mehrmals, bis das ge-

wünschte Symbol erscheint.

Diese Funktion endet automatisch nach

52 Stunden.

Sie kann jederzeit durch Drücken der

Funktionstaste (siehe "Funktionsmenü")

ausgeschaltet werden.

2.10 Temperaturwarnung

(Temperatur zu hoch)

Ein Anstieg der Temperatur im Gefrierfach

(zum Beispiel aufgrund eines Stromaus-

falls) wird wie folgt angezeigt:

• blinkende Temperaturanzeige

• blinkende Anzeige (Gefrierfach-Anzeige)

• Display leuchtet rot

• durch das Ertönen eines Summers

•Alarmsymbol.

Sobald die normalen Bedingungen wieder

hergestellt sind:

• wird das akustische Signal ausgeschal-

tet

• blinkt der Temperaturwert weiterhin

• das Display leuchtet weiter rot.

Wenn Sie die Funktionstaste/den Alarm-

Rückstellschalter zum Ausschalten des

Alarms betätigen, wird in der Anzeige

einige Sekunden lang die wärmste Tem-

peratur im Fach angezeigt.

Die Temperaturanzeige hört zu diesem

Zeitpunkt auf zu blinken, und das Display

leuchtet nicht mehr rot, sondern weiß.

In der Alarmphase kann das Signal durch

Drücken der Funktionstaste/des Alarm-

Rückstellschalters ausgeschaltet werden.

Das Display leuchtet weiterhin rot, bis die

normalen Lagerbedingungen wiederher-

gestellt sind.

3. TÄGLICHER GEBRAUCH

3.1 Reinigung des Innenraums

Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen,

beseitigen Sie den typischen „Neugeruch“

am besten durch Reinigen der Innenteile

mit lauwarmem Wasser und einer neutra-

len Seife. Sorgfältig nachtrocknen.

Verwenden Sie keine aggressiven

Reinigungsmittel oder Scheuerpul-

ver, die die Oberfläche beschädi-

gen.

3.2 Temperaturanzeige

Das Gerät wird in Frankreich ver-

kauft.

Entsprechend den Vorschriften in

diesem Land muss das Gerät mit

einer speziellen Vorrichtung aus-

gestattet sein (siehe Abbildung),

die im unteren Fach des Kühl-

raums angebracht ist, und den

kältesten Bereich des Kühlraums

anzeigt.

3.3 Einfrieren frischer

Lebensmittel

Der Gefrierraum eignet sich zum Einfrieren

von frischen Lebensmitteln und zum La-

gern von gefrorenen und tiefgefrorenen

Lebensmitteln für einen längeren Zeit-

raum.

Um frische Lebensmittel einzufrieren, akti-

vieren Sie bitte die Action Freeze-Funktion

mindestens 24 Stunden, bevor Sie die Le-

bensmittel in das Gefrierfach legen.

Legen Sie bitte die zu gefrierenden fri-

schen Lebensmittel in den oberen Teil des

Gerätes, da dies die kälteste Stelle ist.

Die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln,

die in 24 Stunden eingefroren werden

kann, ist auf dem Typenschild angege-

ben; eine Plakette befindet sich im Innern

des Geräts.

Der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden.

Legen Sie während dieses Zeitraums kei-

ne weiteren einzufrierenden Lebensmittel

in den Gefrierraum.

3.4 Lagerung gefrorener

Produkte

Lassen Sie das Gerät vor der ersten In-

betriebnahme oder nach einer Zeit, in der

das Gerät nicht benutzt wurde, mindes-

tens 12 Stunden lang auf der Einstellung

Action Freeze laufen.

Sollen große Mengen an Lebensmitteln

aufbewahrt werden, entfernen Sie alle

Körbe und Schubladen aus dem Gerät

und setzen Sie die Lebensmittel auf Kühl-

ablagen, um die optimale Leistung zu er-

halten.

3.5 Auftauen

Tiefgefrorene oder gefrorene Lebensmittel

können vor der Verwendung je nach der

zur Verfügung stehenden Zeit im Kühl-

schrank oder bei Raumtemperatur aufge-

taut werden.

Kleinere Teile können sogar direkt aus

dem Gefrierraum entnommen und an-

schließend sofort gekocht werden. In die-

sem Fall dauert der Garvorgang etwas

länger.

3.6 Kälteakkumulatoren

Der Gefrierschrank wird mit einem oder

mehreren Gefrierakkumulatoren geliefert.

Diese verlängern die Zeitdauer, in der die

Lebensmittel bei einem Stromausfall oder

einem Ausfall des Gerätes gekühlt wer-

den.

3.7 Eiswürfelbereitung

Dieses Gerät ist mit einer oder mehreren

Schalen für die Herstellung von Eiswürfeln

ausgestattet. Füllen Sie die Schalen mit

Wasser und stellen Sie diese in das Ge-

frierfach.

Bitte verwenden Sie zum Heraus-

holen der Schalen aus dem Ge-

frierschrank keine Utensilien aus

Metall.

3.8 Verstellbare Ablagen

Die Wände des Kühlschranks sind mit ei-

ner Reihe von Führungsschienen ausge-

stattet, die verschiedene Möglichkeiten für

das Einsetzen der Ablagen bieten.

Zur besseren Raumnutzung können die

vorderen Hälften der Ablagen auf die hint-

eren Hälften gelegt werden.

3.9 Positionieren der Türablagen

Die Türablagen können in unterschiedli-

cher Höhe positioniert werden, womit das

Lagern verschieden großer Lebensmittel-

packungen ermöglicht wird.

Nehmen Sie die Einstellungen wie folgt

vor: Ziehen Sie den Einsatz langsam in

Pfeilrichtung, bis er sich herausheben

lässt, und setzen Sie ihn dann an der ge-

wünschten Position wieder ein.

3.10 Feuchtigkeitsregulierung

In die Glasablage ist eine Vorrichtung mit

(über einen Schieber verstellbaren) Schlit-

zen integriert, die die Temperaturregelung

in den Gemüsefächern ermöglicht.

Bei geschlossenen Lüftungsschlitzen:

bleibt der natürliche Feuchtegehalt der

Lebensmittel in den Obst- und Gemüsefä-

chern für längere Zeit erhalten.

Bei geöffneten Lüftungsschlitzen:

führt die höhere Luftzirkulation zu einem

niedrigeren Feuchtegehalt der Luft in den

Obst- und Gemüsefächer.

3.11 Dynamische Luftkühlung - (DAC-Funktion)

Der Kühlraum ist mit einem speziellen

DAC-Ventilator (Dynamic Air Cooling) aus-

gestattet.

Der Ventilator sorgt für eine rasche Küh-

lung der Lebensmittel und für eine gleich-

mäßigere Temperatur im Innenraum.

Drücken Sie zum Einschalten des Ventila-

tors (wenn notwendig mehrmals) die

Funktionstaste, bis das entsprechende

Symbol

aufleuchtet.

Sie können den Ventilator jederzeit aus-

schalten. Drücken Sie hierzu die Funkti-

onstaste bis das Symbol

erlischt.

Der Ventilator sollte eingeschaltet werden,

wenn die Umgebungstemperatur 25 °C

übersteigt.

Ist die Raumtemperatur höher als 38 °C

oder ist die Funktion Shopping einge-

schaltet, schaltet sich der Ventilator auto-

matisch ein.

4. PRAKTISCHE TIPPS UND HINWEISE

4.1 Energiespartipps

• Öffnen Sie die Tür nicht zu häufig, und

lassen Sie diese nicht länger offen als

unbedingt notwendig.

• Wenn die Umgebungstemperatur hoch

ist und der Temperaturregler auf eine

niedrige Temperatur eingestellt und das

Gerät voll beladen ist, kann es zu an-

dauerndem Betrieb des Kompressors

und damit zu Reif- oder Eisbildung am

Verdampfer kommen. Stellen Sie in die-

sem Fall den Temperaturregler auf eine

höhere Einstellung ein, die ein automati-

sches Abtauen und damit auch einen

niedrigeren Energieverbrauch ermög-

licht.

4.2 Hinweise für die Kühlung

frischer Lebensmittel

So erzielen Sie die besten Ergebnisse:

• Legen Sie bitte keine warmen Lebens-

mittel oder dampfenden Flüssigkeiten in

den Kühlschrank.

• Decken Sie die Lebensmittel ab oder

verpacken Sie diese entsprechend, be-

sonders wenn sie stark riechen.

• Legen Sie die Lebensmittel so hinein,

dass um sie Luft frei zirkulieren kann.

4.3 Hinweise für die Kühlung

Tipps:

Fleisch (alle Sorten): wickeln Sie Fleisch in

lebensmittelechte Tüten und legen Sie

diese auf die Glasablage über der Gemü-

seschublade.

Bitte lagern Sie Fleisch aus Sicherheits-

gründen nur einen oder maximal zwei Ta-

ge auf diese Weise.

Gekochte Lebensmittel, kalte Gerichte

usw.: Diese sollten abgedeckt auf eine

der Ablagen gelegt werden.

Obst und Gemüse: Gründlich reinigen und

in die dafür vorgesehene(n) Schublade(n)

legen. Wenn die Kunststoffteile Ihres Kühl-

schranks mit Zitronensaft in Kontakt kom-

men, können sie sich verfärben. Es wird

empfohlen, Zitrusfrüchte in getrennten

Behältern zu lagern.

Butter und Käse: diese sollten stets in

speziellen luftdichten Behältern verpackt

sein oder in Aluminiumfolie bzw. in le-

bensmittelechte Tüten eingepackt wer-

den, um so wenig Luft wie möglich in der

Verpackung zu haben.

Flaschen: Bitte bewahren Sie Flaschen

stets mit Deckel im Flaschenregal in der

Tür auf.

Bananen, Kartoffeln, Zwiebeln und Knob-

lauch sollten nicht im Kühlschrank aufbe-

wahrt werden, außer diese sind dafür

speziell verpackt.

4.4 Hinweise zum Einfrieren

Im Folgenden finden Sie einige wertvolle

Tipps für einen optimalen Gefriervorgang:

• die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln,

die innerhalb von 24 Stunden eingefro-

ren werden kann. ist auf dem Typschild

angegeben;

• der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden.

Legen Sie während dieses Zeitraums

keine weiteren einzufrierenden Lebens-

mittel in das Gefrierfach;

• frieren Sie ausschließlich frische und

gründlich gewaschene Lebensmittel

von sehr guter Qualität ein;

• teilen Sie die Lebensmittel in kleinere

Portionen ein, damit diese schnell und

vollständig gefrieren und Sie später nur

die Menge auftauen müssen, die Sie

gerade benötigen;

• die einzufrierenden Lebensmittelportio-

nen sollten stets luftdicht in Aluminium-

folie oder in lebensmittelechte Gefrier-

beutel verpackt werden, um so wenig

Luft wie möglich in der Verpackung zu

haben;

• achten Sie beim Hineinlegen von fri-

schen, noch ungefrorenen Lebensmit-

teln darauf, dass diese keinen Kontakt

mit Gefriergut bekommen, da dieses

sonst antauen kann;

• weniger fetthaltige Lebensmittel lassen

sich besser lagern als fetthaltigere; Salz

verkürzt die Lagerzeit von Lebensmit-

teln im Gefrierfach;

• werden Gefrierwürfel direkt nach der

Entnahme aus dem Gefrierfach verwen-

det, können Sie zu Frostbrand auf der

Haut führen;

• es empfiehlt sich, das Einfrierdatum auf

jeder einzelnen Packung zu notieren,

um einen genauen Überblick über die

Lagerzeit zu haben.

4.5 Hinweise zur Lagerung

gefrorener Produkte

So erzielen Sie die besten Ergebnisse mit

Ihrem Gerät:

• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die gefro-

renen Lebensmittel vom Händler ange-

messen gelagert wurden.

• Achten Sie unbedingt darauf, die einge-

kauften gefrorenen Lebensmittel in der

kürzest möglichen Zeit in das Gefrierge-

rät zu bringen.

• Öffnen Sie die Tür nicht zu häufig, und

lassen Sie die Tür nicht länger offen als

notwendig.

• Aufgetaute Lebensmittel verderben sehr

schnell und eignen sich nicht für ein er-

neutes Einfrieren.

• Das Haltbarkeitsdatum auf der Tiefkühl-

kostverpackung darf nicht überschritten

werden.

5. REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE

VORSICHT!

Ziehen Sie bitte vor jeder Reini-

gungsarbeit immer den Netzste-

cker aus der Steckdose.

Der Kältekreis des Gerätes enthält

Kohlenwasserstoffe; Wartungsar-

beiten und Nachfüllen von Kälte-

mittel dürfen daher nur durch vom

Hersteller autorisiertes Fachperso-

nal ausgeführt werden.

5.1 Regelmäßige Reinigung

Der gesamte Kühlschrank muss regelmä-

ßig gereinigt werden:

• Reinigen Sie die Innenseiten und die

Zubehörteile mit lauwarmem Wasser

und etwas Neutralseife.

• Prüfen und säubern Sie die Türdichtun-

gen in regelmäßigen Abständen und

kontrollieren Sie, dass diese sauber und

frei von Verunreinigungen sind.

• Spülen und trocknen Sie diese sorgfäl-

tig ab.

Ziehen Sie nicht an Leitungen

und/oder Kabeln im Innern des

Kühlschranks und achten Sie da-

rauf, diese nicht zu verschieben

oder zu beschädigen.

Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung des

Innenraums keinesfalls Putzmittel,

Scheuerpulver, stark parfümierte

Reinigungsmittel oder Wachspoli-

turen, da diese die Oberfläche des

Innenraums beschädigen und ei-

nen starken Eigengeruch hinter-

lassen können.

Reinigen Sie den Kondensator (schwarzes

Gitter) und den Kompressor auf der Gerä-

terückseite mit einer Bürste. Dadurch ver-

bessert sich die Leistung des Geräts und

es verbraucht weniger Strom.

Bitte achten Sie darauf, das Kühl-

system nicht zu beschädigen.

Viele Haushaltsreiniger für Küchen enthal-

ten Chemikalien, die den im Gerät ver-

wendeten Kunststoff angreifen können.

Aus diesem Grund ist es empfehlenswert,

das Gerät außen nur mit warmem Wasser

und etwas flüssigem Tellerspülmittel zu

reinigen.

Schließen Sie das Gerät nach der Reini-

gung wieder an die Netzversorgung an.

5.2 Abtauen des Kühlschranks

Bei normalem Betrieb wird Reif bei jedem

Anhalten des Kompressors automatisch

vom Verdampfer des Kühlschranks ent-

fernt. Das Tauwasser läuft durch eine Ab-

flussöffnung in einen speziellen Behälter

an der Rückseite des Geräts über dem

Motorkompressor, wo es verdampft.

Reinigen Sie deshalb regelmäßig die Ab-

flussöffnung in der Mitte der Auffangrinne

an der Kühlraumrückwand, damit das

Tauwasser nicht überfließt und auf die ge-

lagerten Lebensmittel tropft.

5.3 Abtauen des

Gefrierschranks

Auf den Ablagen des Gefrierschranks und

im Innern des oberen Fachs wird sich

stets etwas Reif bilden.

Tauen Sie den Gefrierschrank ab, wenn

die Reifschicht eine Stärke von etwa 3 bis

5 mm erreicht hat.

Stellen Sie den Temperaturregler

bitte 12 Stunden vor dem Abtau-

en auf eine kühlere Einstellung,

damit eine ausreichende Kälte als

Reserve für die Unterbrechung im

Betrieb entstehen kann.

Entfernen Sie den Reif wie nachstehend

erläutert:

Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.

Nehmen Sie das gesamte Gefriergut

heraus, verpacken Sie es in mehrere

Schichten Zeitungspapier und lagern

Sie es an einem kühlen Ort.

VORSICHT!

Fassen Sie gefrorene Lebensmittel

nicht mit nassen Händen an. Ihre

Hände könnten an den Lebens-

mitteln festfrieren.

Lassen Sie die Tür des Geräts offen

stehen und setzen Sie den Kunst-

stoffschaber in die entsprechende

Aufnahme unten in der Mitte; stellen

Sie eine Schale zum Auffangen des

Tauwassers darunter.

Stellen Sie eine Schale mit war-

mem Wasser in das Gefrierfach,

um den Abtauprozess zu be-

schleunigen. Entfernen Sie bereits

während des Abtauprozesses vor-

sichtig Eisstücke, die sich lösen

lassen.

Ist das Geräteinnere vollständig abge-

taut, trocken Sie die nassen Oberflä-

chen gründlich ab und bewahren Sie

den Kunststoffschaber für eine späte-

re Verwendung auf.

Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.

Nachdem das Gerät zwei bis drei

Stunden in Betrieb ist, können Sie die

ausgelagerten Lebensmittel wieder in

den Gefrierraum hineinlegen.

Entfernen Sie Reif und Eis vom Verdamp-

fer bitte niemals mit scharfen metallischen

Gegenständen, da dieser dadurch be-

schädigt werden könnte.

Versuchen Sie nicht, den Abtauvorgang

durch andere als vom Hersteller empfoh-

lene mechanische oder sonstige Hilfsmit-

tel zu beschleunigen.

Ein Temperaturanstieg des Gefrierguts

während des Abtauens des Geräts kann

die Lagerzeit dieser Lebensmittel verkür-

zen.

5.4 Stillstandzeiten

Bei längerem Stillstand des Gerätes müs-

sen Sie folgendermaßen vorgehen:

•

trennen Sie das Gerät von der Netz-

versorgung

• entnehmen Sie alle Lebensmittel

• Tauen Sie das Gerät ab (sofern vorge-

sehen). Reinigen Sie den Innenraum

und das gesamte Zubehör.

• lassen Sie die Türen offen/angelehnt,

um das Entstehen unangenehmer Ge-

rüche zu vermeiden.

Möchten Sie bei einer längeren Abwesen-

heit den Gefrierschrank weiter laufen las-

sen, bitten Sie jemanden, gelegentlich die

Temperatur zu prüfen, damit das Gefrier-

gut bei einem möglichen Stromausfall

nicht im Innern des Gerätes verdirbt.

6. WAS TUN, WENN …

6.1 Austauschen der Lampe

Das Gerät ist mit einer langlebigen LED-

Innenbeleuchtung ausgestattet.

Die Beleuchtung darf nur von einem Fach-

mann ausgetauscht werden. Wenden Sie

sich hierzu an den Kundendienst.

6.2 Schließen der Tür

Reinigen Sie die Türdichtungen.

Stellen Sie die Tür nach Bedarf ein.

Siehe hierzu „Montage“.

Ersetzen Sie die defekten Türdichtun-

gen, falls erforderlich. Wenden Sie

sich hierzu an den Kundendienst.

7. MONTAGE

7.1 Aufstellung

Installieren Sie dieses Gerät an einem Ort,

an dem die Umgebungstemperatur mit

der Klimaklasse übereinstimmt, die auf

dem Typschild des Geräts angegeben ist:

7.2 Elektrischer Anschluss

Kontrollieren Sie vor der ersten Benutzung

des Gerätes, ob die Netzspannung und -

frequenz Ihres Hausanschlusses mit den

auf dem Typenschild angegebenen An-

schlusswerten übereinstimmen.

Das Gerät muss geerdet sein. Zu diesem

Zweck ist der Netzstecker mit einem

Schutzkontakt ausgestattet. Falls die

Steckdose Ihres Hausanschlusses nicht

geerdet sein sollte, lassen Sie das Gerät

gemäß den geltenden Vorschriften von ei-

nem qualifizierten Elektriker erden.

Der Hersteller übernimmt keinerlei Haftung

bei Missachtung der vorstehenden Si-

cherheitshinweise.

Das Gerät entspricht den EWG-Richtlini-

en.

7.3 Wechsel des Türanschlags

Die Tür des Geräts öffnet sich nach

rechts. Wenn Sie möchten, dass sich die

Tür nach links öffnet, gehen Sie vor dem

Einbau des Geräts bitte nach den folgen-

den Anweisungen vor:

• Lockern Sie den oberen Stift und ent-

fernen Sie das Distanzstück.

• Entfernen Sie den oberen Stift und die

obere Tür.

• Lösen Sie die Stifte (B) und die Distanz-

stücke (C).

• Entfernen Sie die untere Tür.

• Lösen Sie den unteren Stift.

Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite:

• Bringen Sie den unteren Stift an.

• Bringen Sie die untere Tür an.

• Bringen Sie die Stifte (B) und die Dis-

tanzstücke (C) am mittleren Scharnier

auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite an.

• Bringen Sie die obere Tür an.

• Legen Sie das Distanzstück ein und zie-

hen Sie den oberen Stift fest.

7.5 Montage des Geräts

VORSICHT!

Achten Sie darauf, dass sich das

Netzkabel des Geräts frei bewe-

gen lässt.

Führen Sie die folgenden Schritte aus:

Schneiden Sie bei Bedarf den Dichtungs-

streifen zu und bringen Sie ihn am Gerät

an, wie in der Abbildung dargestellt.

Bohren Sie, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt,

die Scharnierabdeckung A auf.

Bringen Sie die Abdeckungen A und A1 (im

Beipack) am mittleren Scharnier an.

Setzen Sie das Gerät in die Einbaunische.

Schieben Sie das Gerät in Pfeilrichtung (1),

bis die obere Spaltabdeckung am Küchen-

möbel anliegt.

Schieben Sie das Gerät auf der den Schar-

nieren gegenüberliegenden Seite in Pfeil-

richtung (2) soweit wie möglich gegen die

Seitenwand des Küchenmöbels.

Richten Sie das Gerät in der Einbaunische

aus.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Abstand

zwischen dem Gerät und der Schrankvor-

derkante 44 mm beträgt.

Mit der unteren Scharnierabdeckung (im

Beipack) können Sie sicherstellen, dass der

Abstand zwischen dem Gerät und dem Kü-

chenmöbel richtig ist.

Achten Sie darauf, dass der Abstand zwi-

schen dem Gerät und dem Schrank 4 mm

beträgt.

Öffnen Sie die Tür. Stecken Sie die untere

Scharnierabdeckung auf.

Befestigen Sie das Gerät mit 4 Schrauben

in der Einbaunische.

Entfernen Sie das entsprechende Teil aus

der Scharnierabdeckung (E). Achten Sie

darauf, im Falle eines rechten Scharniers

Teil DX bzw. bei einem gegenüberliegen-

den Scharnier Teil SX zu entfernen.

Setzen Sie die beiliegenden Abdeckkappen

(C, D) in die Befestigungs- und Scharnierlö-

cher ein.

Bauen Sie das Belüftungsgitter (B) ein.

Stecken Sie die Scharnierabdeckungen (E)

auf das Scharnier auf.

beltür angeschlossen werden muss:

Lockern Sie die Schrauben in den Hal-

tewinkeln (H).

Verschieben Sie die Haltewinkel (H).

Ziehen Sie die Schrauben wieder an.

Trennen Sie die Teile (Ha), (Hb), (Hc) und

(Hd) ab.

rungen.

Markieren Sie 8 mm ab der Türaußenkante

die Stelle, an der der Nagel (K) eingesetzt

werden muss.

mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben fest.

Richten Sie die Tür des Einbaumöbels und

die Gerätetür mit dem Führungsstück (Hb)

Drücken Sie Abdeckung (Hd) auf das Füh-

rungsstück (Hb).

Führen Sie eine Endkontrolle durch, um

sicherzustellen, dass:

• alle Schrauben fest angezogen sind.

• der Dichtungsstreifen sicher am Gerät

befestigt ist.

• die Tür korrekt öffnet und schließt.

Por su seguridad y para garantizar el fun-

cionamiento correcto del aparato, antes

de instalarlo y utilizarlo por primera vez lea

atentamente este manual del usuario, in-

cluidos los consejos y advertencias. Para

evitar errores y accidentes, es importante

que todas las personas que utilicen el

aparato estén perfectamente al tanto de

su funcionamiento y de las características

de seguridad. Conserve estas instruccio-

nes y no olvide mantenerlas junto al apa-

rato en caso de su desplazamiento o ven-

ta para que quienes lo utilicen a lo largo

de su vida útil dispongan siempre de la in-

formación adecuada sobre el uso y la se-

guridad.

Por la seguridad de personas y bienes, si-

ga las normas de seguridad indicadas en

estas instrucciones, ya que el fabricante

no se hace responsable de daños provo-

cados por omisiones.

1.1 Seguridad de niños y

personas vulnerables

• Este electrodoméstico no está diseña-

do para que lo usen personas (incluidos

niños) con discapacidad física, senso-

rial o mental, o con experiencia y cono-

cimiento insuficientes, a menos que

una persona responsable de su seguri-

dad les supervise o instruya en el uso

del electrodoméstico.

No permita que los niños jueguen con

el electrodoméstico.

• Mantenga los materiales de embalaje

alejados de los niños. Existe riesgo de

asfixia.

• Si va a desechar el aparato, extraiga el

enchufe de la toma, corte el cable de

conexión (tan cerca del aparato como

pueda) y retire la puerta para impedir

que los niños al jugar puedan sufrir

descargas eléctricas o quedar atrapa-

dos en su interior.

• Si este aparato, que cuenta con juntas

de puerta magnéticas, sustituirá a un

aparato más antiguo con cierre de

1.2 Instrucciones generales de

seguridad

Mantenga libres de obstrucciones las

aberturas de ventilación del alojamiento

del aparato o de la estructura empotrada

• El aparato está diseñado para conser-

var los alimentos y bebidas de una vi-

vienda normal, como se explica en este

folleto de instrucciones.

– áreas de cocina para el personal en

tiendas, oficinas y otros entornos de

trabajo;

– granjas y por clientes en hoteles, mo-

teles y otros entornos de tipo resi-

dencial;

– entornos de tipo hostales o pensio-

nes;

– servicios de catering y actividades si-

milares al por mayor.

• No utilice dispositivos mecánicos ni

medios artificiales para acelerar el pro-

ceso de descongelación.

• No utilice otros aparatos eléctricos (co-

mo máquinas para hacer helados) den-

tro de los aparatos de refrigeración, a

menos que el fabricante haya autoriza-

do su utilización para estos fines.

• No dañe el circuito del refrigerante.

• El circuito del refrigerante del aparato

contiene isobutano (R600a). Se trata de

un gas natural con un alto nivel de

compatibilidad medioambiental, aunque

es inflamable.

Durante el transporte y la instalación del

aparato, cerciórese de no provocar da-

ños en el circuito de refrigeración.

Si el circuito de refrigeración se daña:

– mantenga el aparato alejado de las

llamas y de cualquier fuente de en-

cendido

– ventile bien la habitación en la que se

encuentra el aparato

• Es peligroso alterar las especificaciones

o modificar este producto en modo al-

guno. Cualquier daño en el cable de ali-

mentación puede provocar un cortocir-

cuito, un incendio o una descarga eléc-

trica.

ADVERTENCIA

Los componentes eléctricos (ca-

ble de alimentación, enchufe,

compresor) debe sustituirlos un

técnico autorizado o personal de

reparaciones profesional a fin de

evitar riesgos.

El cable de alimentación no se de-

be prolongar.

Compruebe que la parte posterior

del aparato no aplaste ni dañe el

enchufe. Un enchufe aplastado o

dañado puede recalentarse y pro-

vocar un incendio.

Cerciórese de que tiene acceso al

enchufe del aparato.

No tire del cable de alimentación.

Si la toma de red está floja, no in-

troduzca el enchufe. Existe riesgo

de descarga eléctrica o incendio.

No utilice el aparato sin la tapa de

la bombilla (si está provisto de ella)

de iluminación interior.

• Este aparato es pesado. Debe tener

precauciones durante su desplaza-

miento.

• No retire ni toque elementos del com-

partimento congelador con las manos

húmedas o mojadas, ya que podría su-

frir abrasión de la piel o quemaduras

por congelación.

• Evite la exposición prolongada del apa-

rato a la luz solar directa.

• Las bombillas que se utilizan en este

aparato (si está provisto de ellas) son

especiales, y se han seleccionado ex-

clusivamente para uso en aparatos do-

mésticos. No pueden utilizarse para la

iluminación de la vivienda.

1.3 Uso diario

• No coloque recipientes calientes sobre

las piezas plásticas del aparato.

• No almacene gas ni líquido inflamable

en el aparato, ya que podrían estallar.

• No coloque alimentos directamente

contra la salida de aire de la pared pos-

terior. (Si el aparato es No Frost, es de-

cir, no acumula escarcha.)

• Los alimentos que se descongelen no

deben volver a congelarse.

• Guarde los alimentos congelados, que

se adquieren ya envasados, siguiendo

las instrucciones del fabricante.

• Se deben seguir estrictamente las reco-

mendaciones del fabricante del aparato

sobre el almacenamiento. Consulte las

instrucciones correspondientes.

• No coloque bebidas carbonatadas o

con gas en el congelador, ya que se

genera presión en el recipiente, que po-

dría estallar y dañar el aparato.

• Si se consumen polos helados retira-

dos directamente del aparato, se pue-

den sufrir quemaduras causadas por el

hielo.

1.4 Cuidado y limpieza

• Antes de realizar tareas de manteni-

miento, apague el aparato y desconec-

te el enchufe de la toma de red.

• No limpie el aparato con objetos metáli-

cos.

• No utilice objetos afilados para eliminar

el hielo del aparato. Utilice un raspador

plástico.

• Inspeccione habitualmente el desagüe

del agua descongelada del frigorífico. Si

es necesario, limpie el desagüe. Si el

desagüe se bloquea, el agua se acu-

mulará en la base del aparato.

1.5 Instalación

Para realizar la conexión eléctrica,

siga atentamente las instrucciones

de los párrafos correspondientes.

• Desembale el aparato y compruebe

que no tiene daños. No conecte el apa-

rato si está dañado. Informe de los po-

sibles daños de inmediato a la tienda

donde lo adquirió. En ese caso, con-

serve el material de embalaje.

• Es recomendable esperar al menos dos

horas antes de conectar el aparato, pa-

ra permitir que el aceite regrese al com-

presor.

• El aparato debe contar con circulación

de aire adecuada alrededor, ya que de

lo contrario se produce recalentamien-

to. Para conseguir una ventilación sufi-

ciente, siga las instrucciones corres-

pondientes a la instalación.

• Siempre que sea posible, la parte pos-

terior del producto debe estar contra

una pared, para evitar que se toquen

las partes calientes (compresor, con-

densador) y se produzcan quemaduras.

• El aparato no debe colocarse cerca de

radiadores ni de hornillas de cocina.

• Asegúrese de que es posible acceder

al enchufe después de instalar el elec-

trodoméstico.

• Realice la conexión sólo a un suministro

de agua potable (si está prevista una

conexión de agua).

1.6 Servicio técnico

• Un electricista homologado deberá rea-

lizar las tareas que se requieran para

ejecutar el servicio o mantenimiento de

este electrodoméstico.

• Las reparaciones de este aparato debe

realizarlas un centro de servicio técnico

autorizado y sólo se deben utilizar re-

cambios originales.

1.7 Protección del medio

ambiente

Este aparato no contiene gases

perjudiciales para la capa de ozo-

no, ni en el circuito de refrigerante

ni en los materiales aislantes. El

aparato no se debe desechar jun-

to con los residuos urbanos. La

espuma aislante contiene gases

inflamables: el aparato se debe

desechar de acuerdo con la nor-

mativa vigente, que puede solici-

tar a las autoridades locales. No

dañe la unidad de refrigeración,

en especial la parte trasera, cerca

del intercambiador de calor. Los

2.2 Encendido

Si la pantalla no se enciende una vez en-

chufado el aparato, pulse la tecla de en-

cendido/apagado.

Una vez encendido el aparato, aparecerá

la siguiente señal en el panel de control:

• El indicador de temperatura positiva o

negativa será positivo, para indicar que

la temperatura es positiva

• parpadea la temperatura, el fondo de la

pantalla es rojo y se oirá una señal

acústica.

Pulse la tecla Función y se apagará al se-

ñal acústica (consulte también "Alarma

por exceso de temperatura").

Seleccione la temperatura deseada (con-

sulte "Regulación de temperatura").

2.3 Apagado

Si desea apagar el aparato pulse la tecla

de encendido/apagado durante más de 1

segundo.

Posteriormente, el indicador de tempera-

tura mostrará la cuenta atrás -3 -2 -1.

Al apagarse el aparato, se apaga también

la pantalla.

2.4 Apagado del compartimento

frigorífico

Para apagar el compartimento frigorífico,

gire el regulador de ajuste de temperatura

del frigorífico hacia la izquierda hasta la

posición "O".

El compartimento congelador sigue fun-

cionando.

Una vez ha apagado el compartimento fri-

gorífico, sólo se muestra la temperatura

del compartimento congelador.

En este estado, la iluminación del com-

partimento frigorífico se apaga.

2.5 Indicador de temperatura

Cada vez que se pulsa el indicador de

temperatura del frigorífico-congelador, la

pantalla muestra por orden:

– Se enciende el piloto del comparti-

mento frigorífico.

– La pantalla indica la temperatura

del frigorífico.

– Se enciende el piloto del comparti-

mento congelador.

– La pantalla indica la temperatura

del congelador.

En cualquier caso, se recuperan las con-

diciones normales de la pantalla tras 10

segundos.

2.6 Menú de funciones

Cada vez que se pulsa la tecla de función,

las siguientes funciones se activan en el

sentido de las agujas del reloj:

• Función Action Freeze

• Función Shopping

• Función D.A.C.

En condiciones normales.

Puede activar una función cada

Para desactivar las funciones, pulse la

tecla de función varias veces hasta que

no aparezca ningún icono.

2.7 Regulación de la

temperatura

La temperatura en el aparato se controla

a través del regulador.

Es posible regular la temperatura del

compartimento frigorífico girando el regu-

lador de temperatura, y puede variar entre

aproximadamente +2°C y +8°C.

Es posible regular la temperatura del

compartimento congelador girando el re-

gulador de temperatura, y puede variar

entre aproximadamente -15°C y -24°C.

La temperatura adecuada para la correcta

conservación de los alimentos debe ser:

+5 °C en el frigorífico

-18°C en el congelador

Durante el funcionamiento normal la tem-

peratura programada aparece en el indi-

cador de temperatura.

Para utilizar el aparato, proceda como se

indica:

• gire el regulador de temperatura hacia

la derecha para obtener el frío máximo

• gire el regulador de temperatura hacia

la izquierda para obtener el frío mínimo.

La posición intermedia suele ser la más

adecuada.

Sin embargo, el ajuste exacto debe elegir-

se teniendo en cuenta que la temperatura

interior del aparato depende de:

• temperatura ambiente

• la frecuencia con que se abre la puerta

• la cantidad de alimentos guardados

• ubicación del aparato.

2.8 Función Shopping

Si necesita introducir una gran cantidad

de alimentos calientes, por ejemplo, des-

pués de haber hecho la compra, se acon-

seja activar la función Shopping para en-

friarlos más rápidamente y evitar que su-

ba la temperatura de los que ya se guar-

dan en el frigorífico.

La función Shopping se activa pulsando la

tecla de función (tantas veces como sea

necesario) hasta que aparezca el icono

correspondiente

La función Shopping se desactiva auto-

máticamente después de unas 6 horas.

Durante la función Shopping también se

activa automáticamente el ventilador del

compartimento frigorífico.

El ventilador del compartimento

frigorífico también se activa cuan-

do la temperatura ambiente es

elevada (por encima de 38°C),

aunque no esté activada la fun-

ción Shopping.

Se puede desactivar esta función en cual-

quier momento pulsando la tecla de fun-

ción (consulte "Menú de funciones").

2.9 Action Freeze Función

Para congelar alimentos frescos, es nece-

2.10 Alarma por exceso de

temperatura

Un aumento de la temperatura del com-

partimento congelador (por ejemplo, por

un corte de energía eléctrica) se indica

mediante:

• parpadeo de la cifra de la temperatura

• parpadeo del compartimento congela-

dor (indicador del compartimento con-

gelador)

• iluminación del indicador en color rojo

• señal acústica

• símbolo de alarma.

Cuando se restablecen las condiciones

normales:

• se desactiva la señal acústica

• la cifra de la temperatura continúa par-

padeando

• el indicador sigue iluminado en rojo.

Cuando se pulsa la tecla de función para

desactivar la alarma / interruptor de resta-

blecimiento de la alarma, la temperatura

mento aparece en el indicador

En ese momento, se detiene el parpadeo

3. USO DIARIO

3.1 Limpieza de las partes

internas

Antes del empleo limpiar todas las partes

internas con agua tibia y jabón neutro, a

fin de eliminar el característico olor de

nuevo y secarlas luego cuidadosamente.

No utilice detergentes ni polvos

abrasivos, ya que podrían dañar el

acabado

3.2 Indicador de temperatura

Este aparato está autorizado para

su venta en Francia.

En conformidad con la normativa

válida en dicho país, deberá ir

provisto de un dispositivo especial

(consulte la figura) situado en el

compartimiento inferior del frigorí-

fico para indicar la zona más fría

del mismo.

3.3 Congelación de alimentos

frescos

El compartimento congelador es adecua-

do para congelar alimentos frescos y con-

servar a largo plazo los alimentos conge-

lados y ultracongelados.

Para congelar alimentos frescos, active la

función Action Freeze al menos 24 horas

antes de introducir los alimentos en el

compartimento congelador.

Ponga los alimentos frescos que quiere

congelar en la parte superior del congela-

dor, ya que es el punto más frío.

La cantidad máxima de alimentos que

puede congelarse en 24 horas se indica

en la placa de datos técnicos, una eti-

queta situada en el interior del aparato.

El proceso de congelación tarda 24 ho-

ras: Durante ese tiempo no deben añadir-

se otros alimentos para congelar.

3.4 Almacenamiento de

alimentos congelados

Al poner en marcha el aparato por prime-

ra vez o después de un periodo sin uso,

déjelo funcionar al menos durante 12 ho-

ras con el ajuste Action Freeze.

Si se va a guardar una gran cantidad de

alimentos, retire todos los cajones y ces-

tos del aparato y coloque los alimentos en

los estantes de enfriamiento para obtener

el mejor rendimiento.

En caso de producirse una des-

congelación accidental, por ejem-

plo, por un corte del suministro

eléctrico, si la interrupción ha sido

más prolongada que el valor indi-

cado en la tabla de características

técnicas bajo "tiempo de eleva-

ción", los alimentos descongela-

dos deben consumirse cuanto an-

tes o cocinarlos de inmediato y

volverlos a congelar (después de

que se hayan enfriado).

3.5 Descongelación

Los alimentos ultracongelados o congela-

dos, antes de utilizarlos, se pueden des-

congelar en el compartimento frigorífico o

a temperatura ambiente, dependiendo del

tiempo de que se disponga.

Es posible incluso cocinar piezas peque-

ñas congeladas, tomadas directamente

del congelador; en tal caso, el tiempo de

cocción será más prolongado.

3.6 Acumuladores de frío

El congelador contiene al menos un acu-

mulador de frío que alarga el periodo de

conservación en caso de que se produz-

ca un corte de corriente o una avería.

3.7 Producción de cubitos de

hielo

Este aparato cuenta con una o varias

bandejas para la producción de cubitos

de hielo. Llene las bandejas con agua y

colóquelas en el compartimento congela-

dor.

No utilice instrumentos metálicos

para retirar las bandejas del con-

gelador.

3.8 Estantes móviles

Las paredes del frigorífico cuentan con

una serie de guías para colocar los estan-

tes del modo que se prefiera.

Para aprovechar mejor el espacio, los es-

tantes frontales más pequeños pueden

colocarse encima de los traseros.

3.9 Colocación de los estantes de la puerta

Para poder guardar alimentos de distintos

tamaños, los estantes de la puerta se

pueden colocar a diferentes alturas.

Para realizar esos ajustes proceda como

se indica a continuación: mueva paulati-

namente el estante en la dirección de las

flechas hasta retirarlo del soporte y coló-

quelo en la posición que desee.

3.10 Control de humedad

El estante de cristal incorpora un disposi-

tivo con ranuras (ajustables mediante un

palanca deslizante), que permite regular la

temperatura de los cajones para verduras

Cuando las ranuras de ventilación están

cerradas:

la humedad natural de los alimentos guar-

dados en los compartimentos para frutas

y verduras se mantiene durante más tiem-

po.

Cuando las ranuras de ventilación están

abiertas:

el aumento del aire circulante reduce el

contenido de humedad de los alimentos.

3.11 Reciclaje de aire - (función D.A.C. (enfriamiento dinámico del

aire))

El compartimento frigorífico está provisto

de un ventilador D.A.C. (Dynamic Air Coo-

ling, enfriamiento dinámico del aire) espe-

cial.

Este dispositivo permite enfriar los alimen-

tos con más rapidez y mantener una tem-

peratura más uniforme dentro del com-

partimento.

Active el ventilador pulsando la tecla de

función (varias veces si fuera necesario)

hasta que aparezca el icono

Se puede desactivar el ventilador en cual-

quier momento pulsando la tecla de fun-

ción hasta que desaparezca el icono

Cuando la temperatura ambiente supere

los 25 °C, active el ventilador.

Cuando la temperatura ambiente sea su-

perior a 38°C o cuando la función Shop-

ping esté activada, el ventilador se pondrá

en funcionamiento automáticamente.

4. CONSEJOS ÚTILES

4.1 Consejos para ahorrar

energía

• No abra la puerta con frecuencia ni la

deje abierta más tiempo del estricta-

mente necesario.

• Si la temperatura ambiente es elevada,

la temperatura del aparato se ha ajusta-

do en los valores más altos y está total-

mente lleno, el compresor podría fun-

cionar de manera continua, provocan-

do la formación de escarcha o hielo en

el evaporador. Si esto sucede, gire el

regulador de temperatura a valores in-

feriores para permitir la descongelación

automática y ahorrar en el consumo

eléctrico.

4.2 Consejos para la

refrigeración de alimentos

frescos

Para obtener los mejores resultados:

• no guarde en el frigorífico alimentos ca-

lientes ni líquidos en evaporación;

• cubra o envuelva los alimentos, en es-

pecial si tienen sabores fuertes;

• coloque los alimentos de modo que el

aire pueda circular libremente entre

ellos.

4.3 Consejos para la

refrigeración

Consejos útiles:

Carne (de todo tipo): guárdela en bolsas

de plástico y colóquela en el estante de

vidrio, sobre el cajón de las verduras.

Por razones de seguridad, guárdela de

ese modo durante uno o dos días, como

máximo.

Alimentos cocinados, platos fríos, etc.:

cúbralos y colóquelos en cualquier estan-

te.

Frutas y verduras: una vez lavadas a fon-

do, guárdelas en los cajones especiales

suministrados al efecto. Si entra en con-

tacto, el zumo de limón puede decolorar

las partes de plástico del frigorífico. Por

ello, se recomienda guardar los cítricos en

contenedores separados.

Mantequilla y queso: colóquelos en reci-

pientes herméticos especiales o envueltos

en papel de aluminio o en bolsas de plás-

tico, para excluir tanto aire como sea po-

sible.

Botellas: deben guardarse tapadas en el

estante para botellas de la puerta.

Los plátanos, las patatas, las cebollas y

los ajos, si no están empaquetados, no

deben guardarse en el frigorífico.

4.4 Consejos sobre la

congelación

Estos consejos son importantes para po-

der aprovechar al máximo el proceso de

congelación:

• la cantidad máxima de alimentos que

puede congelarse en 24 horas se

muestra en la placa de datos técnicos;

• el proceso de congelación requiere 24

horas. Durante ese periodo no deben

añadirse otros alimentos para congela-

ción;

• congele sólo productos alimenticios de

máxima calidad, frescos y perfecta-

mente limpios;

• prepare los alimentos en porciones pe-

queñas para que se congelen de ma-

nera rápida y total, así como para po-

der descongelar posteriormente sólo

las cantidades necesarias;

• envuelva los alimentos en papel de alu-

minio o polietileno y compruebe que los

envoltorios quedan herméticamente ce-

rrados;

• no permita que alimentos frescos y sin

congelar entren en contacto con ali-

mentos ya congelados, para evitar el

aumento de temperatura de los segun-

dos;

• los alimentos magros se congelan me-

jor que los grasos; la sal reduce el tiem-

po de almacenamiento de los alimen-

tos;

• el hielo, si se consume inmediatamente

después de retirarlo del compartimento

congelador, puede provocar quemadu-

ras por congelación en la piel;

• es recomendable etiquetar cada pa-

quete con la fecha de congelación para

controlar el tiempo que permanecen al-

macenados.

4.5 Consejos para el

almacenamiento de alimentos

congelados

Para obtener el máximo rendimiento de

este aparato, deberá:

• comprobar que el comerciante ha man-

tenido los productos congelados co-

rrectamente almacenados;

• procurar que los alimentos congelados

pasen de la tienda al congelador en el

menor tiempo posible;

• evitar la apertura frecuente de la puerta

o dejarla abierta más del tiempo estric-

tamente necesario;

• los alimentos descongelados se dete-

rioran con rapidez y no pueden conge-

larse de nuevo;

• no supere el tiempo de almacenamien-

to indicado por el fabricante de los ali-

mentos.

5. MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA

PRECAUCIÓN

Antes de realizar tareas de mante-

nimiento, desenchufe el aparato.

Este equipo contiene hidrocarbu-

ros en la unidad de refrigeración;

por tanto, el mantenimiento y la

recarga deben estar a cargo ex-

clusivamente de técnicos autori-

zados.

5.1 Limpieza periódica

El equipo debe limpiarse de manera habi-

tual:

• Limpie el interior y los accesorios con

agua templada y un jabón neutro.

• Revise y limpie periódicamente las jun-

tas de la puerta para mantenerlas lim-

pias y sin restos.

• Aclare y seque a fondo.

No mueva, dañe ni tire de los con-

ductos o cables del interior del ar-

mario.

No utilice detergentes, polvos

abrasivos, productos de limpieza

perfumados ni cera para limpiar el

interior, ya que dañarán la superfi-

cie y dejarán un fuerte olor.

Limpie el condensador (rejilla negra) y el

compresor de la parte posterior del apa-

rato con un cepillo. Esa operación mejo-

rará el rendimiento del aparato y reducirá

el consumo eléctrico.

Tenga cuidado para no dañar el

sistema de refrigeración.

Muchas marcas de limpiadores de super-

ficies de cocina contienen químicos que

pueden atacar o dañar los plásticos del

aparato. Por tal razón, se recomienda que

el exterior del aparato se limpie sólo con

agua templada a la que se añadirá un po-

co de líquido lavavajillas.

Después de la limpieza, vuelva a conectar

el aparato a la toma de red.

5.2 Descongelación del frigorífico

La escarcha se elimina automáticamente

del evaporador del frigorífico cada vez

que se detiene el compresor, durante el

funcionamiento normal. El agua de la des-

congelación se descarga a través de un

orificio hacia un recipiente especial situa-

do en la parte posterior del aparato, sobre

el motor compresor, donde se evapora.

Es importante limpiar periódicamente el

orificio de salida del agua de descongela-

ción situado en la mitad del canal del

compartimento frigorífico para evitar que

el agua se desborde y caiga sobre los ali-

mentos del interior.

5.3 Descongelación del

congelador

Siempre se forma un poco de escarcha

en los estantes del congelador y en torno

al compartimento superior.

Descongele el congelador sólo cuando la

capa de escarcha alcance un grosor de

unos 3 a 5 mm.

Unas 12 horas antes de realizar la

descongelación, coloque el regu-

lador de temperatura en los nive-

les más elevados, con el fin de

acumular frío suficiente para la in-

terrupción del funcionamiento.

Para eliminar la escarcha, siga estos pa-

sos:

Apague el aparato.

Retire los alimentos congelados, en-

vuélvalos en varias hojas de papel de

periódico y colóquelos en un sitio

fresco.

PRECAUCIÓN

No toque los alimentos congela-

dos con las manos mojadas. Po-

drían congelarse al contacto con

los alimentos.

Deje la puerta abierta e introduzca el

raspador plástico en el centro de la

base, después de colocar un reci-

piente debajo para recoger el agua de

la descongelación.

Para acelerar el proceso de des-

congelación, coloque un recipien-

te con agua tibia en el comparti-

mento congelador. Además, retire

los trozos de hielo que se des-

prendan antes de que finalice la

descongelación.

Finalmente, seque bien el interior y

conserve el raspador para su uso fu-

turo.

Encienda el aparato.

Al cabo de dos o tres horas, vuelva a

introducir los alimentos que retiró pre-

viamente.

No utilice herramientas metálicas afiladas

para raspar la escarcha del evaporador,

ya que podría dañarlo.

No utilice dispositivos mecánicos ni me-

dios artificiales para acelerar el proceso

de descongelación, excepto los recomen-

dados por el fabricante.

El aumento de la temperatura de los pa-

quetes de alimentos congelados durante

la descongelación puede acortar su tiem-

po de almacenamiento.

5.4 Periodos sin funcionamiento

Si el aparato no se utiliza durante un tiem-

po prolongado, tome las siguientes pre-

cauciones:

• desconecte el aparato de la red

eléctrica;

• extraiga todos los alimentos;

• descongele (si así está previsto) y limpie

el aparato y todos sus accesorios.

• deje la puerta(s) entreabierta para pre-

venir olores desagradables.

Si va a mantener el armario en marcha,

solicite a alguien que lo inspeccione de

vez en cuando para evitar que los alimen-

tos se echen a perder en caso de un cor-

te de energía.

enchufe del cable de alimentación se su-

ministra con un contacto para tal fin. Si la

toma de tierra conforme con la normativa,

después de consultar a un electricista

profesional.

El fabricante rechaza toda responsabili-

dad si no se toman las precauciones an-

7.3 Puerta reversible

La puerta del aparato se abre hacia la de-

recha. Si desea abrir la puerta hacia la iz-

quierda, siga estas instrucciones antes de

instalar el aparato:

• Afloje el pasador superior y extraiga el

separador.

• Retire el pasador superior y la puerta

superior.
