Should the dryer go off and the ALCI reset button pop up during use, this could indicate a malfunction in the dryer. Remove plug from outlet and allow the dryer to cool. Push reset button in and reinsert plug into outlet. Dryer should function normally. If not, return to an authorized Conair Service Center for examination and repair. Test Reset 1. Plug in hair dryer and press test button on plug (see appropriate diagram below). 2. Hair dryer will stop working. There will be an audible click and a reset button will pop out. 3. To reset ALCI with a reset button: Unit should be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and reinsert plug into outlet. 1. To retract cord, hold dryer vertically upright and away from your face. Grasp the plug with one hand, then press and hold the retract button with the other. Guide the cord and keep it from twisting. If the cord does not retract completely, pull it out slightly and wind it again guiding it into the reel. DO NOT RETRACT CORD WHILE DRYER IS PLUGGED IN.
