2. Your iPod/iPhone will begin charging, until fully charged.
NOTE: Your iPod/iPhone will charge even if the POWER button is
turned off. The Dock n P
arty only needs to be plugged in for the
iPod/iPhone to charge.
3. To remove/replace an insert, first remove your iPod/iPhone then insert
fingernail in slot on insert (Fig. 2), and gently pull up.
Listening to Your iPod/iPhone
1. Press the POWER button on the back of the Dock n Party to turn it
on (Fig. 3).
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button on your iPod/iPhone to pause play; press
again to resume play.
3. Press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ button on the Dock n Party unit to adjust volume (Fig. 1).
4. Press the or on your iPod/iPhone to go to the next or previous track.
5. To turn off the unit, press the POWER button on the back of the unit. The
iPod/iPhone will continue charging in the dock.

Getting Started
1. Attach the DC adaptor to the DC Jack located on the back of the unit.
(Fig 3)
2. Plug the cord into 120V household outlet.
Charging your iPod/iPhone™
The Dock n Party comes with one dock insert, which fits the Apple 3rd
Generation Nano.
When you want to connect a different size iPod/iPhone, remove the insert from
the Dock n Party and replace with the correct size insert. To remove dock
insert, place fingernail in slot on insert (Fig. 2) and gently pull up. You must
always use the appropriate size insert for your iPod/iPhone. You may contact
HoMedics Consumer Relations at 1.800.466.3342 to order the correct insert
for your iPod/iPhone.
Note: Make sure you are using the correct insert for your iPod/iPhone
and that it is properly placed in the dock of the Dock n Party unit.

1. Before you begin, remove your iPod/iPhone from its case or ‘skin’.
USING INSERT
Place insert in dock, being sure that the two plastic tabs face the front of the
unit. Press insert into place, ensuring it is firmly placed in the dock (Fig. 2).
Carefully place your iPod/iPhone into the docking area so that the pin
connector in the dock is fully connected to the pin socket on the bottom of
your iPod/iPhone (Fig. 4). You will hear a “chirp”, indicating that your iPod is
properly connected.

FOR iPHONE USERS ONLY:
Once properly connected, your iPhone will ask you if you’d like to turn
on Airplane Mode. Select “Y
es” (Fig.5). When your iPhone is set to
Airplane mode, no cell phone, radio, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth signals are
emitted from iPhone. As a result, all incoming calls will be sent directly
to voicemail.
NOTE: If iPhone is already in Airplane Mode you will need to
click “OK”.

Listening to a non-docking iPod or other
portable audio devices
If you are using an iPod without a docking port, other MP3 player, or other
portable audio device, you can play it through the Dock n Party via
the LINE IN jack located on the back of the unit. (Fig. 5)
1. Plug one end of the Connection Cable (included) (Fig. 1) into the head-
phone or line-out jack on your audio device and the other end of the
Connection Cable into the Dock n Party LINE IN jack located on the back of
the unit (Fig. 5).
2. Press the POWER button on the unit to turn it on (Fig. 3).
3. Turn on and play external audio device.
4. Press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ button on the Dock n Party unit to adjust volume (Fig. 1).
Note: You may need to adjust the volume on external device too.
5. To turn unit off, press the POWER button on the back of the unit.
Note: You also need to turn off your external audio device as well.

Changing the Colored Faceplates
See Replacement Parts Order Form located at the back of this instruction
manual for alternate color faceplates that coordinate with second genera-
tion iPod nano colors.
Attaching Faceplate
1. Choose a faceplate.
2. Gently place faceplate on top of Dock n Party unit, with two button holes
placed above the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons.
3. (a) Press down on rear of faceplate to lock back two tabs. (b) Then press
down on front of faceplate to lock front two tabs. (Fig. 6) Be sure all 4 tabs
are securely locked in place.
Removing Faceplate
1. With one hand on each side of unit, firmly press up on the two front tabs of
the faceplate, until the front of the faceplate is raised off unit. (Fig. 7)
2. Grasp front of faceplate, pulling up and gently loosening all four locking
tabs. Be sure not to force or pull too hard, so the tabs do not break.
3. See ATTACHING FACEPLATE for directions on replacing the faceplate.

Maintenance
To Store
You may leave the unit on display, or you can store it in its box
in a cool, dry place.
To Clean
Use only a soft dry cloth to clean the enclosure of the unit.
NEVER use liquids or abrasive cleaner to clean.

LIMITED ONE YEAR WARRANTY
HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workman-
ship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics war-
rants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and ser-
vice. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales receipt

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer
purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond
the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident;
the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unautho-
rized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product;
malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended main-
tenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use
during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other
conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the
product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any
other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or
repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL
BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MER-
CHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH
RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR
ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY
REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND
TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN.
IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES
THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed
products, including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/or sales of
such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately
cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modi-
fied, without the prior express and written consent of HoMedics.

2. Su iPod/iPhone comienza a cargarse, hasta quedar completamente cargado.
ATENCION: Su iPod/iPhone se carga aun si el botón POWER está
apagado (off). El Dock n Party sólo necesita estar enchufado para que el
iPod/iPhone pueda cargarse.
3. Para retirar/reemplazar un inserto, primero quite el iPod/iPhone, luego inserte
la uña en la ranura en el inserto (Fig. 2), hale suavemente hacia arriba.
Para escuchar su iPod/iPhone
1. Presione el botón POWER al respaldo del Dock n Play Ultra para encederlo (Fig. 3).
2. Oprima el botón PLAY/PAUSE (sonido/pausa) del iPod/iPhone para cortar
el sonido; oprima otra vez para resumir el sonido.
3. Presione la tecla “+” o “- “ en el Dock n Party para ajustar el volumen (Fig. 1).
4. Oprima el o de sui Pod/iPhone para ir a la pista magnética siguiente
o anterior.
5. Para apagar la unidad, oprima el botón POWER en el respaldo de la unidad. El
iPod/iPhone seguirá cargándose en la plataforma.

1. Conecte el adaptador de CD al enchufe de CD ubicado al respaldo de la
unidad. (Fig. 3)
2. Enchufe el cable a un tomacorriente doméstico de 120V.
Para cargar su iPod/iPhone™
El Dock n Party viene con un inserto para la plataforma, que sirve para el Apple 3rd
Generation Nano.
Si desea conectar un iPod/iPhone de tamaño diferente, retire el inserto del Dock n Party
y reemplácelo con el inserto de tamaño correcto. Para retirar el inserto de la plataforma,
ponga la uña en la ranura en el inserto (Fig. 2) y hale suavemente hacia arriba.
Use siempre el inserto de tamaño adecuado para su iPod/iPhone. Usted puede contactar
a HoMedics, Relaciones con el Consumidor, al 1-800-466-3342 para solicitar el inserto
correcto para su iPod/iPhone.
Nota: Asegúrese de usar el inserto correcto para su iPod/iPhone y de que esté
insertado correctamente en el Dock n Party. De no hacerlo así podría dañar su
iPod/iPhone.
ADVERTENCIA: LOS INSERTOS ESTÁN CONCEBIDOS SÓLO PARA

SU DISPOSITIVO.
1. Antes de comenzar, retire su iPod/iPhone de su caja o cubierta.
PARA USAR EL INSERTO
Coloque el inserto en la plataforma, asegurándose de que las dos lengüetas de
plástico queden hacia el frente de la unidad. Presione el inserto en su lugar,
asegurándose de que quede firmemente colocado en la plataforma (Fig. 2). Coloque
cuidadosamente su iPod/iPhone en la plataforma de manera que el conector de
agujas en la plataforma haga contacto completo con el receptor de agujas en el
fondo del iPod/iPhone (Fig. 4). Usted oirá un “chirrido” que indica que su iPod
está conectado correctamente.

SÓLO PARA USUARIOS DEL iPHONE:
Una vez conectado correctamente, su iPhone le preguntará si desea activar
el modo Airplane. Seleccione “Yes” (Fig. 5). Cuando su iPhone está en el modo
Airplane no emite señales de teléfono móvil, radio,
Wi-Fi o Bluetooth. En consecuencia, todas las llamadas que entran vienen
dirigidas directamente al buzón del correo de voz.
NOTA: Si el iPhone ya está en el modo Airplane, usted necesita hacer
un clic en el “OK”.

Para escuchar un iPod desconectado de la
plataforma, u otros dispositivos de sonido
portátiles
Si está usando un iPod sin la plataforma de conexión, otro dispositivo MP3, u otro
dispositivo de sonido portátil, puede escucharlo por el Dock n Party por medio del
enchufe de entrada (LINE IN) ubicado al respaldo de la unidad (Fig. 8).
1. Conecte un extremo del Cable de Conexión (incluido) (Fig. 1) en el audífono o el
enchufe de salida de su dispositivo de sonido y el otro extremo del Cable de
Conexión en el enchufe de entrada (LINE IN) del Dock n Party, ubicado al
respaldo de la unidad (Fig. 5).
2. Oprima el BOTÓN POWER (encendido) del iSoundSpa para encenderlo (Fig. 3).
3. Encienda y escuche su dispositivo externo de sonido.
4. Presione la tecla “+” o “- “ en el Dock n Party para ajustar el volumen (Fig. 1).
Atención: Puede necesitar ajustar también el volumen de su dispositivo
externo.
5. Para apagar la unidad, oprima el botón POWER en el respaldo de la unidad.
Atención: Usted puede necesitar apagar también su dispositivo externo de
sonido.
Para Cambiar las Cubiertas de Colores
Vea el Formulario pare Pedido de Repuestos al respaldo de este manual
de instrucciones por cubiertas de diferentes colores que combinen con los
colores del iPod nano de segunda generación.
Para Sujetar las Cubiertas
1. Seleccione una cubierta.
2. Coloque con cuidado la cubierta sobre el Dock n Party, de manera que los dos
orificios de los botones coincidan con los botones “+ ” y “- ”.
3. (a) Presione hacia abajo el respaldo de la cubierta para trabar las dos lengüetas
de atrás. (b) Luego presione hacia abajo el frente de la cubierta para trabar las
dos lengüetas de adelante. (Fig. 6) Asegúrese de que las 4 lengüetas hayan
quedado firmemente trabadas en su lugar.
Para Retirar la Cubierta
1. Con una mano en cada lado de la unidad, presione firmemente hacia arriba las
dos lengüetas de adelante de la cubierta hasta que el frente de cubierta quede
levantado de la unidad (Fig. 7).
2. Sujete el frente de la cubierta, halando suavemente hacia arriba y aflojando las
cuatro lengüetas de sujeción. Asegúrese de no aplicar fuerza excesiva o halar
muy duro, para no romper las lengüetas.

Para guardar
Puede dejar la unidad en exhibición o puede guardarla en su caja o en un lugar
fresco y seco.
Para limpiar
Para limpiar la carcasa de la unidad use sólo un paño suave y seco.
NUNCA use líquidos o limpiadores abrasivos para limpiar la unidad.
Las modificaciones no autorizadas por el fabricante pueden invalidar el derecho
del usuario a operar este dispositivo.
Atención: Este equipo ha sido ensayado y probado y se ha comprobado que
cumple con los límites de los dispositivos digitales de la Clase B, según la
Sección 15 de las Normas FCC. Estos límites han sido dispuestos para
proporcionar una protección razonable contra las interferencias dañinas en las
instalaciones domésticas. Este equipo genera, usa y puede irradiar energía de
radiofrecuencia y, si no se instala y usa según las recomendaciones, puede causar
interferencias dañinas a las comunicaciones radio. Sin embargo, no hay garantías
de que dichas interferencias no se produzcan en una instalación particular. Si este
equipo causara interferencias dañinas a la recepción de radio o televisión, lo que
