SAFETY INFORMATION

Important! Read carefully & keep for future

reference.

• The safety of Your appliance complies

with the industry standards and with legal

requirements on the safety of appliances.

However, as manufacturers, we feel it is

our duty to provide the following safety

notes.

• It is most important that this instruction

book should be retained with the appli-

ance for future reference. Should the ap-

pliance be sold or transferred to another

owner, or should you move house and

leave the appliance, always ensure that

the book is supplied with the appliance in

order that the new owner can get to

know the functioning of the appliance

and the relevant warnings.

• You MUST read them carefully before in-

stalling or using the appliance.

• Before first starting up, check the appli-

ance for any damage incurred during

transport. Never connect up a damaged

appliance . If parts are damaged, contact

your supplier.

• If the appliance is delivered in the winter

months when there are minus tempera-

tures. Store it at room temperature for 24

hours before using for the first time.

GENERAL SAFETY

• It is dangerous to alter the specifications

or attempt to modify this product in any

way.

• During high temperature wash pro-

grammes the door glass may get hot. Do

not touch it!

• Make sure that small pets and children

do not climb into the drum. To avoid this,

please check into the drum before using.

• Any objects such as coins, safety pins,

nails, screws, stones or any other hard,

sharp material can cause extensive dam-

age and must not be placed into the ma-

chine.

• Only use the advised quantities of fabric

softener and detergent. Damage to the

fabric can ensue if you over-fill. Refer to

the manufacturer’s recommendations of

quantities.

• Wash small items such as socks, laces,

washable belts etc in a washing bag or

pillow case as it is possible for such

items to slip down between the tub and

the inner drum.

• Do not use your washing machine to

wash articles with whalebones, material

without hems or torn material.

• Always unplug the appliance and turn off

the water supply after use, cleaning and

maintenance.

• Under no circumstances should you at-

tempt to repair the machine yourself. Re-

pairs carried out by inexperienced people

may cause injury or serious malfunction-

ing. Contact your local Service Centre.

Always insist on genuine spare parts.

INSTALLATION

• This appliance is heavy. Care should be

taken when moving it.

• When unpacking the appliance, check

that it is not damaged. If in doubt, do not

use it and contact the Service Centre.

• All packing and transit bolts must be re-

moved before use. Serious damage can

occur to the product and to property if

this is not adhered to. See relevant sec-

tion in the user manual.

• After having installed the appliance,

check that it is not standing on the inlet

and drain hose and the worktop is not

pressing the electrical supply cable

against the wall.

• If the machine is situated on a carpeted

floor, please adjust the feet in order to al-

low air to circulate freely under the appli-

ance.

• Always be sure, that there is no water

leakage from hoses and their connec-

tions after the installation.

• If the appliance is installed in a location

subject to frost, please read the “dangers

of freezing” chapter.

• Any plumbing work required to install this

appliance should be carried out by a

qualified plumber or competent person.

• Any electrical work required to install this

appliance should be carried out by a

qualified electrician or competent person.

USE

• This appliance is designed for domestic

use. It must not be used for purposes

other than those for which it was de-

signed.

• Only wash fabrics which are designed to

be machine washed. Follow the instruc-

tions on each garment label.

• Do not overload the appliance. See the

Washing Programme Table.

• Before washing, ensure that all pockets

are empty and buttons and zips are fas-

tened. Avoid washing frayed or torn arti-

cles and treat stains such as paint, ink,

rust, and grass before washing. Under-

wired bras must NOT be machine wash-

ed.

• Garments which have been in contact

with volatile petroleum products should

not be machine washed. If volatile clean-

ing fluids are used, care should be taken

to ensure that the fluid is removed from

the garment before placing in the ma-

chine.

• Never pull the power supply cable to re-

move the plug from the socket; always

take hold of the plug itself.

• Never use the appliance if the power

supply cable, the control panel, the work-

ing surface or the base are damaged so

that the inside of the washing machine is

accessible.

CHILD SAFETY

• This appliance is not intended for use by

person (including children) with reduced

physical sensory or mental capabilities or

lack of experience and knowledge unless

they have been given supervision or in-

struction concerning use of the appliance

by a person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure

that they do not play with the appliance.

• The packaging components (e.g. plastic

film, polystyrene) can be dangerous to

children - danger of suffocation! Keep

them out of children's reach.

• Keep all detergents in a safe place out of

children’s reach.

•

Make sure that children or pets do not

climb inside the drum. To prevent chil-

dren or pets becoming trapped inside the

drum the machine incorporates a special

feature. To activate this device, rotate the

button (without pressing it) inside the

door clockwise until the groove is hori-

zontal. If necessary use a coin. To disable

this device and restore the possibility of

closing the door, rotate the button anti-

clockwise until the groove is vertical.

Your new appliance meets all modern requirements for effective treatment of laundry

with low water, energy and detergent consumption. Its new washing system allows to-

tal use of detergent and reduces water consumption so saving energy.

DETERGENT DISPENSER DRAWER

Compartment for detergent used for

prewash and soak phase or for stain re-

mover used during the stain action phase (if

available). The prewash and soak detergent

is added at the beginning of the wash pro-

gramme. The stain remover is added dur-

ing the stain action phase.

Compartment for powder or liquid de-

tergent used for main wash. If using liquid

detergent pour it just before starting the

programme.

Compartment for liquid additives (fabric

softener, starch).

Follow the product manufacturer’s recom-

mendations on quantities to use and do not

exceed the «MAX» mark in the detergent

dispenser drawer. Any fabric softener or

starching additives must be poured into the

compartment before starting the wash pro-

gramme.

CONTROL PANEL

Below is a picture of the control panel. It shows the programme selector dial as well as

the buttons, pilot lights and the display. These are presented by relevant numbers on

the following pages.

FIRST USE

• Ensure that the electrical and water

connections comply with the installa-

tion instructions.

• Remove the polystyrene block and

any material from the drum.

• Before the first wash, run a cotton

cycle at the highest temperature

without any laundry in the machine,

to remove any manufacturing residue

from the drum and tub. Pour 1/2 a

measure of detergent into the main

wash compartment and start the

machine.

PERSONALISATION

CHOOSE THE LANGUAGE

When switching on the appliance for the

first time, by turning the programme selec-

tor dial (1), you must set the desired lan-

guage. When you switch the appliance on

again all messages appear in this language.

Important!

If the display doesn’t show any language,

the appliance has already been switched on

once. In such case, if you want to change

the language setting, press at the same

time the buttons 3 and 4 for about 6 sec-

onds to activate the menu language. Press

the buttons 5 (Up

or Down ) to scroll

all the available languages. Press the button

6 twice to confirm your choice.

SET THE TIME ( TIME )

After the desired language you must set the

time before the first wash.

Remember to change the setting time in

accordance with daylight-savings time or

solar time.

The clock setting permits you to modify/set

up the current time. It is important to keep it

updated as the current END Cycle Time de-

pends on it.

With a short/single time pressure of the but-

tons 5, the time varies minute by minute.

With a continue pressure of the same but-

tons, the time varies 10 minutes by 10 mi-

nutes. Press the button 6 to fix the current

time.

Important!

If the appliance has already been switched

on once, press the buttons 5 to activate the

Option menu.

By pressing again the same buttons you

can move through all the available options

till when you locate the setting menu ( Set-

tings ).

Press the button 6 to have access in the

menu. Press the buttons 5 to scroll all the

settings till time setting position appears

and press button 6 to confirm your choice

and then set the clock.

CUSTOMIZE YOUR APPLIANCE

This appliance is provided with a setting

menu that allows you to modify the factory

settings as you want.

When you switch the appliance on, by turn-

ing the programme selector dial (1), press

the buttons 5 to activate the Options menu.

By pressing again the same buttons you

can move through all the available options

till when you locate the setting menu. Press

the button 6 to have access in the menu.

Press again buttons 5 to scroll all the set-

tings and press the button 6 to confirm

your choice.

SET THE SOUND VOLUME ( VOLUME )

The volume setting permits you to modify

the volume of the sound. Press the buttons

5 to choose between different volume levels

from 0 to 9 (0 = no sound; 9 = max.).

Press the button 6 to confirm your choice.

ENABLE THE CHILD SAFETY LOCK

( CHILD LOCK )

Your appliance is provided with a CHILD

SAFETY LOCK, which allows you to leave

the appliance not supervised with the door

closed without having the worry that chil-

dren might be injured by or cause damage

to the appliance.

Set this option before pressing the button 7

and after having selected the required

washing programme.

This function remains enable also when the

appliance is not working.

Set the child safety lock:

• press the buttons 5 to activate the op-

tions menu

• press the buttons 5 up or down to set

the child safety lock

•press the button 6 to enable this option.

The corresponding icon changes your

status from Off to On and the display

asks to press

and together for 5

seconds to unlock machine .

•press the button 3 or 4 the display re-

turns the default status.

If you press any key after the programme

has started with child safety lock enabled,

the display says that the machine is locked

and suggests to use key combination to

unlock it .

At the end of the programme it is necessary

to press simultaneously both buttons 5 for

some seconds until the display says that

the machine is unlocked to select a new

programme.

SET THE BRIGHTNESS

( BRIGHTNESS )

The brightness setting allows you to modify

the backlight intensity of the display.

Press the buttons 5 to increase or decrease

the brightness.

You can choose between different levels

from 0 to 9 (0 = min. - 9 = max.).

Press the button 6 to confirm your choice.

SET THE CONTRAST ( CONTRAST )

The contrast setting allows you to modify

the optical characteristic of the display.

Press the buttons 5 to increase or decrease

the contrast.

You can choose between different levels

from 0 to 9 (0 = min. - 9 = max.).

RESET ALL SETTINGS ( RESET

SETTINGS )

This function allows you to apply the factory

settings again

Press the button 6 to activate this function.

Press the button 6 to confirm your choice.

RETURN TO MAIN MENU ( BACK )

To return to the option menu, locate the

back

option by pressing the buttons 5.

Press the button 6 to confirm your choice.

ACOUSTIC SIGNALS

The machine is provided with an acoustic

device, which sounds in the following ca-

ses:

• at the end of the cycle ;

• in the event of operating problems.

If you need to disable the acoustic signals,

except for the event of operating problems ,

please refer to the previous chapter «Set

the sound volume».

DAILY USE

Load the laundry

Open the door by carefully pulling the door

handle outwards. Place the laundry in the

drum, one item at a time, shaking them out

as much as possible. Close the door.

Make sure that no laundry stays between

the seal and the door. There is a risk of wa-

ter leakage or damage to the laundry.

Measure out the detergent and the fab-

ric softener

Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops.

Measure out the amount of detergent re-

quired, pour it into the main wash compart-

ment

or in the appropriate compartment

if the selected programme/option it requires

(see more details in «Detergent dispenser

drawer»).

If required, pour fabric softener into the

compartment marked

(the amount used

must not exceed the «MAX» mark in the

drawer). Close the drawer gently.

SELECT THE REQUIRED PROGRAMME

Turn the programme selector dial (1) to the

required programme. When the appliance is

switched on, a friendly jingle can be heard,

at the same time the brand logo appears on

the display and, for few seconds, a short

description of the selected programme is

shown in last 2 rows of the display.

After having selected the programme, the

appliance will propose on the display (2) the

following information:

2.1 temperature

2.2 spin speed

2.3 selectable option icons

2.4 soil degree

2.5 washing programme duration

2.6 the estimated time end of washing cy-

cle

The button 7 starts blinking.

The selector dial can be turned either clock-

wise or anticlockwise. Position O to Reset

programme/ Switching OFF of the machine.

At the end of the programme the selec-

tor dial must be turned to position O, to

switch the machine off.

Important! If you turn the programme

selector dial to another programme when

the machine is working, the display says to

turn programme selector in the last used

position.

The machine will not perform the new se-

lected programme.

DISPLAY

The DISPLAY is used for setting a large

number of functions and combine them

with each other using only a few con-

trol elements (1 programme selector di-

al and 8 buttons). This simple control

method is made easy thanks to the in-

teractive display. Interactive means that

the appliance display changes to reflect

each step you have entered. This en-

sures to set the possible settings only.

You are able to see the current settings

at any time in the information panel and

in the option rows.

The display shows the following informa-

tion:

•

Duration of the selected programme

After selecting a programme, the duration

of the washing programme (2.5) and the

extimated end of cycle (2.6) are displayed

in hours and minutes (for example 20:33).

The duration is calculated automatically

on the basis of the maximum recommen-

ded load for each type of fabric.

After the programme has started, the

time remaining is updated every minute.

• Programme progress display

After you have pressed the button 7, the

display shows the running phase. On the

display you can see the symbol of the se-

lected type of fabric, the current phase,

the duration of the wash programme and

the end of cycle. When the machine per-

forms the washing phase the display

shows also some animated bubbles that

simulate the moving of the water.

See the below picture:

• Delay

The selected delay time value (up to 20

hours max.) appears in the position 2.5 of

the display (when the appliance start op-

erating) close to the relevant icon

that

it is lighted-on. The delay time value de-

creases every minute.

•

Alarm codes

In the event of operating problems, some

alarm codes can be displayed, for exam-

ple « Cannot fill water. Please check that

the tap is open and then press START/

PAUSE » (see the chapter «What to do

if...»).

•

End of programme

When the programme has finished the

display says that the door is unlocked

and the washing cycle is finished appear

alternatively. The door

icon remains

on to inform that the wash cycle has fin-

ished and the door can be opened.

PROGRAMME OPTION BUTTONS

Depending on the programme, different

functions can be combined. These

must be selected after choosing the

desired programme and before press-

ing the button 7.

Important! For the compatibility among the

washing programmes and options, refer to

«Washing programmes».

SELECT THE TEMPERATURE (BUTTON

Press the button 3 repeatedly to in-

crease or decrease the temperature, if

you want your laundry to be washed at

a temperature different from the one

proposed by the appliance (position

2.1 in the display).

Important! To see the maximum and

minimum temperatures allowed for each

washing programmes, refer to «Washing

programmes».

= Cold Wash.

SELECT THE SPIN SPEED OR THE

AVAILABLE OPTIONS (BUTTON 4)

Press the button 4 repeatedly to change

the spin speed, if you want your laundry to

be spun at a speed different from the one

proposed by the appliance.

Important! The maximum spin speed

provided for the selected washing

programme appears in the display (2.2).

By pressing the button 4 it is also possible

to select one of the following options:

No spin : option eliminates all the spin

phases and increases the number of rinses

in some programmes.

Rinse Hold ( Rinse Hold ): by selecting

this option the water of the last rinse is not

emptied out to prevent the fabrics from

creasing. When the programme has finish-

ed the display shows the icon of the selec-

ted programme and the message « Finish-

ed », while on the display (2.5 and 2.6) the

end cycle and the current time appear. The

buzzer sounds a short jingle (if it’s activa-

ted), the pilot light of the button 7 is off and

the door is locked to indicate that the water

must be emptied out.

To empty out the water, please read

the paragraph «At the end of the pro-

gramme».

Night Cycle ( Night Cycle ): by select-

ing this option, the machine will not drain

the water of the last rinse, so as not to

wrinkle the laundry.

As all spinning phases are suppressed, this

washing cycle is very noiseless and it can

be performed at night or in times with a

more economical power rate. In some pro-

grammes the rinses will be performed with

more water.

When the programme has finished the dis-

play shows the icon of the selected pro-

gramme, below the icon of the selected

programme and the message « Finished »,

while on display (2.5 and 2.6) the end cycle

and the current time appear. The pilot light

of the button 7 is off and the door is locked

to indicate that the water must be emptied

out.

To empty out the water, please read

the paragraph «At the end of the pro-

gramme».

SELECT THE OPTIONS

Depending on the selected programme only

certain options are available and shown

during the selection phase on the display

(2.3 and 2.4).

Note: Not all the options are compatible

among themselves. The not compatible op-

tion icons will disappear.

Important! For the compatibility among the

washing programmes and options, refer to

«Washing programmes».

To select the desired options, first turn the

selector dial (1) to desired programme and

don’t press the button 7.

Press the buttons 5, you can activate the

options menu. Using Up

or Down

button you can move through all the availa-

ble options.

The display will show, using all the visible

area, the selected option in highlighted

mode. The corresponding icon will appear

on the right side of the display and just be-

low it, a short message describes the sta-

tus of the option («Off» or «On»). See the

below example:

Press the button 6 to activate and confirm

your choice, press it again to deactivate the

selected option.

Once you have completed the selection of

the options, press the buttons 3 or 4 or

simply wait 10 seconds to return the display

in the default status.

The selected icons will be shown on the

display.

Prewashing phase ( Prewash ) : se-

lect this option if you wish your laundry to

be prewashed before the main wash.

The Prewash ends with a short spin at 650

rpm in programmes for cotton and synthet-

ic fabrics, whereas in the program for deli-

cate fabrics the water is drained only .

Easier ironing ( Easy Iron ): selecting

this option the laundry is gently washed and

spun to avoid any creasing. In this way iron-

ing is easier. Furthermore the machine will

perform some additional rinses. If this op-

tion is selected for cotton programmes, the

spin speed automatically will reduce to 900

rpm.

Additional rinse ( Extra Rinse ): this

option is recommended for people who are

allergic to detergents, and in areas where

the water is very soft. The machine per-

forms some additional rinses.

Delayed start ( End Time ): this option

allows to delay the starting of the washing

program by 30 min - 60 min - 90 min, 2

hours and then by 1 hour till 20 hours. The

delay you have selected is indicated on the

display. The end time will increase in order

to show you the selected delay.

You must select this option after you have

set the programme and before you press

the button 7.

If you wish to add laundry in the machine

during the delay time you will press the but-

ton 7 to put the machine in pause.

Add the laundry, close the door and press

the button 7 again.

You can cancel the delay time at any mo-

ment, before you press the button 7.

Selecting the delayed start

gramme immediately.

The delayed start cannot be selected with

Drain

programme.

Favourite programme ( Favourite ):

programme settings that are frequently

used can be saved (e.g. cotton, 60°C,

1200 rpm, with Prewash and Extra Rinse).

There are 2 memory spaces available for

this purpose in the last 2 positions of the

programme selector dial (1). The saved pro-

gramme can be selected in the same way

as any other wash programme by means of

the selector dial.

Saving favourite programme:

programme. The display says that the

programme has been saved in highligh-

ted mode.

returns the default status.

To change the memorized programme set-

ting repeat the procedure from the begin-

ning.

Note

If the memory space is already used by a

programme previously selected, the display

says that the favourite position is already

used. Press the button 6 to over write it or

buttons

or to cancel, then press the

button 6 to memorize the new programme.

The favourite programmes cannot be

erased, but you can over write them by se-

lecting a different programme.

Washing guide ( Wash Guide ): this

appliance is provided with a washing guide

menu that allows you to select the most

suitable temperature, spin speed and op-

tions to wash your laundry.

In the washing guide menu you can also lo-

cate a stain guide ( Stain Guide ), that con-

tains important information on how to re-

move the most rappresentative stains, and

a «Demo Mode» ideal for shop floor dem-

onstrations (not suitable for the customer).

SELECT THE «TIME MANAGER»

OPTION (BUTTONS 8)

Press this button twice to activate the time

manger option.

This function allows you to modify the

washing time, automatically proposed by

the appliance. By pressing the «Time Man-

ager» buttons «+/-» repeatedly, the duration

of the washing cycle can be increased or

decreased.

The Time Manager option cannot be selec-

ted with Economy programme.

The soil level icon

appears on the dis-

play and it changes according to soil de-

gree you have chosen.

PRESS THE BUTTON 7 TO START THE

PROGRAMME

To start the selected programme, press the

button 7; the green pilot light stops blinking.

On the display will appear the icon, and al-

ternatively the name and the running phase

of the selected programme to indicate that

the appliance starts operating and the door

is locked.

To interrupt a programme which is running,

press the button 7: the green pilot light

starts blinking and the icon of the selected

programme appears on the display, the dis-

play says to press the button7 to continue

for some seconds and then that the appli-

ance is pause setting. To restart the pro-

gramme from the point at which it was in-

terrupted, press the button 7 again.

If you have chosen a delayed start, the ap-

pliance will begin the countdown.

ALTERING AN OPTION OR A RUNNING

PROGRAMME

It is possible to change only the options vi-

zualised on the display by pressing the but-

tons 5 (Up or Down) before the pro-

gramme carries them out. Before you make

any change, you must pause the appliance

by pressing the button 7.

Changing a running programme is possible

only by resetting it. Turn the programme

selector dial to O and then to the new pro-

gramme position, press the button 6 to

cancel the previous washing programme.

Start the new programme by pressing the

button 7 again. The washing water in the

tub will not emptied out.

INTERRUPTING A PROGRAMME

Press the button 7 to interrupt a pro-

gramme which is running, the correspond-

ing light starts blinking. Press the button

again to restart the programme.

CANCELLING A PROGRAMME

Turn the selector dial to O and then in the

new selected programme. Press the button

6 to cancel the programme which is run-

ning. Now press the button 7 to start the

new programme.

OPENING THE DOOR AFTER THE

PROGRAMME HAS STARTED

Press the button 7 to set the machine to

pause. The corresponding message will ap-

pear on the display.

If the door cannot be opened, this means

that the appliance is already heating, that

the water level is above the bottom edge of

the door.

In this case the door can not be opened.

If you cannot open the door but you need

to open it you have to switch the machine

off by turning the selector dial to O. After

some minutes the door can be opened

(

pay attention to the water level and

temperature!).

AT THE END OF THE PROGRAMME

The machine stops automatically.

If the Rinse Hold or Night Cycle options

have been selected, the pilot light of button

7 goes off, the icon of the selected pro-

gramme and the message « Finished » ap-

pears on the display and the door remains

locked to indicate that the water must be

emptied out before opening the door.

To empty out the water:

• select the draining or spinning pro-

gramme

• reduce the spin speed if needed, by

means of the relevant button

•press button 7

• at the end of the programme, the display

shows the

(Door) icon and alternately

says that the door is unlocked and that

the door is finished. The door can be

opened.

Turn the programme selector dial to Oto

switch the appliance off. Remove the laun-

dry from the drum and carefully check that

the drum is empty.

If you do not intend to carry out another

wash, close the water tap. Leave the door

open to prevent the formation of mildew

and unpleasant smells.

Stand by : once the programme has finish-

ed after a few minutes the energy saving

system will be enabled. The brightness of

the display is reduced. By pressing any but-

ton the appliance will come out of the ener-

gy saving status.

HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS

SORTING OUT THE LAUNDRY

Follow the wash code symbols on each

garment label and the manufacturer’s

washing instructions. Sort the laundry as

follows: whites, coloureds, synthetics, deli-

cates, woollens.

BEFORE LOADING THE LAUNDRY

Never wash whites and coloureds together.

Whites may lose their «whiteness» in the

wash.

New coloured items may run in the first

wash; they should therefore be washed

separately the first time.

Button up pillowcases, close zip fasteners,

hooks and poppers. Tie any belts or long

tapes.

Remove persistent stains before washing.

Rub particularly soiled areas with a special

detergent or detergent paste.

Treat curtains with special care. Remove

hooks or tie them up in a bag or net.

REMOVING STAINS

Stubborn stains may not be removed by

just water and detergent. It is therefore ad-

visable to treat them prior to washing.

Blood: treat fresh stains with cold water.

For dried stains, soak overnight in water

with a special detergent then rub in the

soap and water.

Oil based paint: moisten with benzine

stain remover, lay the garment on a soft

cloth and dab the stain; treat several times.

Dried grease stains: moisten with turpen-

tine, lay the garment on a soft surface and

dab the stain with the fingertips and a cot-

ton cloth.

Rust: oxalic acid dissolved in hot water or a

rust removing product used cold. Be careful

with rust stains which are not recent since

the cellulose structure will already have

been damaged and the fabric tends to hole.

Mould stains: treat with bleach, rinse well

(whites and fast coloureds only).

Grass: soap lightly and treat with bleach

(whites and fast coloureds only).

Ball point pen and glue: moisten with

acetone

, lay the garment on a soft cloth

and dab the stain.

Lipstick: moisten with acetone as above,

then treat stains with methylated spirits.

Treat any residual marks with bleach.

Red wine: soak in water and detergent,

rinse and treat with acetic or citric acid,

then rinse. Treat any residual marks with

bleach.

Ink: depending on the type of ink, moisten

the fabric first with acetone

, then with

acetic acid; treat any residual marks on

white fabrics with bleach and then rinse

thoroughly.

Tar stains: first treat with stain remover,

methylated spirits or benzine, then rub with

detergent paste.

DETERGENTS AND ADDITIVES

Good washing results also depend on the

choice of detergent and use of the correct

quantities to avoid waste and protect the

environment.

Although biodegradable, detergents contain

substances which, in large quantities, can

upset the delicate balance of nature.

The choice of detergent will depend on the

type of fabric (delicates, woollens, cottons,

etc.), the colour, washing temperature and

degree of soiling.

All commonly available washing machine

detergents may be used in this appliance:

• powder detergents for all types of fabric

• powder detergents for delicate fabrics

(60°C max) and woollens

• liquid detergents, preferably for low tem-

perature wash programmes (60°C max)

for all types of fabric, or special for wool-

lens only.

The detergent and any additives must be

placed in the appropriate compartments of

the dispenser drawer before starting the

wash programme.

If using liquid detergents, a programme

without prewash must be selected.

Your appliance incorporates a recirculation

system which allows an optimal use of the

concentrated detergent.

Follow the product manufacturer’s recom-

mendations on quantities to use and do

not exceed the «MAX» mark in the de-

tergent dispenser drawer.

QUANTITY OF DETERGENT TO BE

USED

The type and quantity of detergent will de-

pend on the type of fabric, load size, de-

gree of soiling and hardness of the water

used.

Follow the product manufacturers’ instruc-

tions on quantities to use.

Use less detergent if:

• you are washing a small load

• the laundry is lightly soiled

• large amounts of foam form during wash-

ing.

DEGREES OF WATER HARDNESS

Water hardness is classified in so-called

“degrees” of hardness. Information on hard-

ness of the water in your area can be ob-

tained from the relevant water supply com-

pany, or from your local authority. If the wa-

ter hardness degree is medium or high we

suggest you to add a water softener follow-

ing always the manufacturer’s instructions.

When the degree of hardness is soft, read-

just the quantity of the detergent.

CARE AND CLEANING

Warning! You must disconnect the

appliance from the electricity supply,

before you can carry out any cleaning

or maintenance work.

DESCALING

The water we use normally contains lime. It

is a good idea to periodically use a water

softening powder in the machine. Do this

separately from any laundry washing, and

according to the softening powder manu-

facturer's instructions. This will help to pre-

vent the formation of lime deposits.

AFTER EACH WASH

Leave the door open for a while. This helps

to prevent mould and stagnant smells form-

ing inside the appliance. Keeping the door

open after a wash will also help to preserve

the door seal.

MAINTENANCE WASH

With the use of low temperature washes it

is possible to get a build up of residues in-

side the drum.

We recommend that a maintenance wash

be performed on a regular basis.

To run a maintenance wash:

• The drum should be empty of laundry.

• Select the hottest cotton wash pro-

gramme.

• Use a normal measure of detergent,

must be a powder with biological proper-

ties.

EXTERNAL CLEANING

Clean the exterior cabinet of the appliance

with soap and water only, and then dry

thoroughly.

Important! Do not use methylated spirits,

solvents or similar products to clean the

cabinet.

CLEANING THE DISPENSER DRAWER

The detergent dispenser drawer should be

cleaned regularly.

The washing powder and additive dispens-

er drawer should be cleaned regularly.

Remove the drawer by pressing the catch

downwards and by pulling it out.

Flush it out under a tap, to remove any

traces of accumulated powder.

To aid cleaning, the top part of the additive

compartment should be removed. Clean all

parts with water.

Clean the chamber of dispenser drawer

with a brush.

WASHING DRUM

Rust deposits in the drum may occur due

to rusting foreign bodies in the washing or

tap water containing iron.

Important! Do not clean the drum with

acidic descaling agents, scouring agents

containing chlorine or iron or steel wool.

1. Remove any rust deposits on the drum

with a cleaning agent for stainless steel.

2. Run a washing cycle without any wash-

ing to clean off any cleaning agent resi-

dues.

Programme: Short Cotton Programme

at maximum temperature and add ap-

prox. 1/4 measuring cup of detergent.

DOOR SEAL

Check from time to time the door seal and

eliminate eventual possible objects that

could be trapped in the fold.

DRAIN PUMP

The pump should be inspected regularly

and particularly if:

• the appliance does not empty and/or

spin;

• the appliance makes an unusual noise

during draining due to objects such as

safety pins, coins etc. blocking the

pump;

• a problem with water draining is detected

(see chapter “What to do if...” for more

details).

Warning! Before opening the pump

door, switch the appliance off and

remove the mains plug from the

socket.

Proceed as follows:

1. Unplug the appliance.

2. If necessary wait until the water has

cooled down.

3. Open the pump door levering on the

groove with a coin (or with the suitable

tool, that you can find in the bag con-

taining the instruction booklet, depend-

ing on the model).

4. Place a bowl with a small edge close to

the pump to collect any spillage.

5. Pull out the emergency emptying cap

from the filter cover, using pliers.

6. When no more water comes out, un-

screw the pump cover by turning it an-

ti-clockwise, using pliers, and remove

the filter. Always keep a rag nearby to

dry up any water spillages when re-

moving the cover.

Clean the filter under a tap, to remove

any traces of fluff.

7. Remove foreign bodies and fluff from

the pump seat and from the pump im-

peller.

8. Check carefully whether the pump im-

peller rotates (it rotates jerkily). If it

doesn’t rotate, please contact your

Service Centre.

9. Replace the filter into the pump by in-

serting it correctly into the special

guides. Screw the pump cover firmly by

turning it clockwise.

10. Replace the emergency emptying cap

into the filter cover and fix it firmly.

11. Close the pump door.

Warning! When the appliance is in use

and depending on the programme

selected there can be hot water in the

pump. Never remove the pump cover

during a wash cycle, always wait until

the appliance has finished the cycle,

and is empty. When refitting the pump

cover , ensure it is securely re-

tightened so as to stop leaks and

young children being able to remove it.

CLEANING THE WATER INLET

FILTERS

If you notice that the machine is taking lon-

ger to fill, check that the filter in the water

inlet hose is not blocked.

1. Turn off the water tap.

2. Unscrew the water inlet hose.

3. Clean the filter in the hose using a hard

bristle brush.

4. Screw the hose back onto the tap.

5. Unscrew the hose from the machine.

Keep a rug nearby because some wa-

ter may flow.

6. Clean the filter in the valve with a stiff

brush or with the piece of cloth.

7. Screw the hose back to the machine

and make sure the connection is tight.

8. Turn on the water tap.

EMERGENCY EMPTYING OUT

If the water is not discharged, proceed as

follows to empty out the machine:

1. pull out the plug from the power sock-

et;

2. close the water tap;

3. if necessary, wait until the water has

cooled down;

4. open the pump door;

5. place a bowl on the floor. Remove the

emergency emptying cap from the filter.

The water should drain by gravity into

the bowl. When the bowl is full, refit the

cap into the filter. Empty the bowl. Re-

peat the procedure until water stops

flowing out;

6. clean the pump if necessary as previ-

ously described;

7. screw the pump again and close the

door.

FROST PRECAUTIONS

If the machine is installed in a place where

the temperature could drop below 0°C,

proceed as follows:

1. Pull out the plug from the power sock-

et.

2. Turn off the water tap.

3. Unscrew the inlet hose.

4. Place the end of the inlet hose in a

bowl placed on the floor, open the

emergency emptying cup of the filter

and let water drain out.

5. Refit the emergency emptying cap into

the filter and screw the water inlet hose

back.

6. When you intend to start the machine

up again, make sure that the room

temperature is above 0°C.

WHAT TO DO IF…

Certain problems are due to lack of simple

maintenance or oversights, which can be

solved easily without calling out an engi-

neer. Before contacting your local Service

Centre, please carry out the checks listed

below.

During machine operation it is possible that

the red pilot light of button 7 blinks, one of

the following alarm codes appears on the

display and some acoustic signals sound

every 20 seconds to indicate that the ma-

chine is not working:

• Problem with the water supply: « Cannot

fill water. Please check that the tap is

open and then press START/PAUSE ».

• Problem with the water draining: « Can-

not drain the water. Please check that

the filter is clean and then press START/

PAUSE ».

• Door open: « Please check that the door

is closed properly and then press

START/PAUSE

».

Once the problem has been eliminated,

press the button 7 to restart the pro-

gramme. If after all checks, the problem

persists, contact your local Service Centre.

The drain or inlet hose is damaged.

• Replace it with a new one.

The emergency emptying cap has not been replaced into the filter

or the filter has not been properly screwed in after cleaning action.

• Refit the emergency emptying cap or screw the filter fully in.

Unsatisfactory washing re-

sults:

Too little detergent or unsuitable detergent has been used.

• Increase the detergent quantity or use another one.

Stubborn stains have not been treated prior to washing.

• Use commercial products to treat the stubborn stains.

The correct temperature was not selected.

• Check if you have selected the correct temperature.

Excessive laundry load.

• Reduce the laundry load.

The door will not open:

Spinning starts late or the

machine does not spin:

The electronic unbalance detection device has cut in because the

laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum. The laundry is redis-

tributed by reverse rotation of the drum. This may happen several

times before the unbalance disappears and normal spinning can

resume. If, after 10 minutes, the laundry is still not evenly distrib-

uted in the drum, the machine will not spin. In this case, redistrib-

ute the load manually and select the spin programme.

• Redistribute the laundry.

The load is too small.

• Add more items, redistribute the load manually and then select

the spinning programme.

The machine makes an un-

usual noise:

The machine is fitted with a type of motor which makes an unusual

noise compared with other traditional motors. This new motor en-

sures a softer start and more even distribution of the laundry in the

drum when spinning, as well as increased stability of the machine.

No water is visible in the

drum:

Machines based on modern technology operate very economically

using very little water without affecting performance.

rial number and purchase date of your ma-

chine: the Service Centre will require this

Standard programmes for the Energy

Label consumption values

The cotton 60 °C economy and cotton 40

°C economy are the standard cotton pro-

grammes for normally soiled cotton laundry.

They are suitable to clean normally soiled

cotton laundry and they are the most effi-

cient programmes in terms of combined

energy and water consumption for washing

that type of cotton laundry.

They agree with EN60456.

The actual water temperature may dif-

fer from the declared cycle tempera-

ture.

INSTALLATION

UNPACKING

All transit bolts and packing must be re-

moved before using the appliance.

You are advised to keep all transit devices

so that they can be refitted if the machine

ever has to be transported again.

1. After removing all the packaging, care-

fully lay machine on it’s back to remove

the polystyrene base from the bottom.

2. Remove the power supply cable and

the draining hose from the hose holders

on the rear of the appliance.

3. Unscrew the three bolts.

4. Slide out the relevant plastic spacers.

5. Open the porthole and remove the pol-

ystyrene block fitted on the door seal.

6. Fill the smaller upper hole and the two

large ones with the corresponding plas-

tic plug caps supplied in the bag con-

POSITIONING

Install the machine on a flat hard floor.

Make sure that air circulation around the

machine is not impeded by carpets, rugs

etc. Check that the machine does not

touch the wall or other kitchen units. Level

the washing machine by raising or lowering

the feet. The feet may be tight to adjust as

they incorporate a self locking nut, but the

machine MUST be level and stable. If nec-

essary, check the setting with a spirit level.

Any necessary adjustment can be made

with a spanner. Accurate levelling prevents

vibration, noise and displacement of the

machine during operation.

Caution! Never place cardboard,

wood or similar materials under the

machine to compensate for any

unevenness in the floor.

the position of your water tap.

3. Set the hose correctly by loosening the

ring nut. After positioning the inlet hose,

be sure to tighten the ring nut again to

prevent leaks.

4. Connect the hose to a tap with a 3/4”

thread. Always use the hose supplied

with the appliance.

The inlet hose must not be lengthened. If it

is too short and you do not wish to move

the tap, you will have to purchase a new,

longer hose specially designed for this type

of use.

WATER-STOP DEVICE

The inlet hose is provided with a water stop

device, which protects against damage

caused by water leaks in the hose which

could develop due to natural ageing of the

hose. This fault is shown by a red sector in

the window «A». Should this occur, turn the

water tap off and refer to your Service Cen-

tre to replace the hose.

WATER DRAINAGE

The end of the drain hose can be posi-

tioned in three ways.

• Hooked over the edge of a sink using

the plastic hose guide supplied with the

machine. In this case, make sure the end

cannot come unhooked when the ma-

chine is emptying. This could be done by

tying it to the tap with a piece of string or

attaching it to the wall.

• In a sink drain pipe branch. This

branch must be above the trap so that

the bend is at least 60 cm above the

ground.

• Directly into a drain pipe at a height of

not less than 60 cm and not more than

90 cm. The end of the drain hose must

always be ventilated, i.e. the inside diam-

eter of the drain pipe must be larger than

the outside diameter of the drain hose.

The drain hose must not be kinked.

The drain hose may be extended to a maximum of 4 metres. An additional drain hose

and joining piece is available from your local Service Centre.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Information on the electrical connection is

given on the rating plate on the inner edge

of the appliance door.

Check that your domestic electrical installa-

tion can take the maximum load required,

also taking into account any other applian-

ces in use.

Connect the machine to an earthed

socket.

The manufacturer does not accept

any responsibility for damage or

injury through failure to comply

The power supply cable must be

easily accessible after installing the

machine.

Should the appliance power supply

cable need to be replaced, this

must be carried out by a Service

dras o cualquier otro material duro y afila-

do puede provocar daños considerables

y no se debe introducir en la máquina.

• Utilice sólo las cantidades de detergente

y suavizante recomendadas. Los tejidos

pueden dañarse si se sobrecarga la lava-

dora. Siga las recomendaciones del fabri-

cante acerca de las cantidades.

• Lave las prendas pequeñas, como calce-

tines, lazos, cinturones, etc., en una bol-

sa de lavado o en una funda de almoha-

da para evitar que se introduzcan entre la

cuba y el tambor interno.

• No utilice la lavadora para lavar prendas

con aros, sin dobladillos o desgarradas.

• Desenchufe siempre el electrodoméstico

y cierre el suministro de agua después

del uso, la limpieza o el mantenimiento

del mismo.

reparar la máquina por su cuenta. Si las

reparaciones las llevan a cabo personas

INSTALACIÓN

• Este aparato es pesado. Por tanto, se

debe tener cuidado al transportarlo.

• Al desembalar el aparato, compruebe

que no esté dañado. Si tiene alguna du-

da, no lo utilice y póngase en contacto

con el centro de servicio técnico.

• Todos los pasadores del embalaje y

transporte se deben retirar antes del uso.

De lo contrario, se pueden producir da-

ños graves en el producto y daños mate-

en el manual de usuario.

• Una vez instalada la lavadora, asegúrese

de que ésta no descansa sobre la man-

guera de entrada ni la de desagüe, así

como de que la encimera no está presio-

nando el cable de alimentación eléctrica

contra la pared.

• Si la máquina está situada sobre un suelo

enmoquetado, ajuste las patas para que

pueda circular libremente el aire por de-

bajo del aparato.

• Una vez realizada la instalación, asegúre-

se de que no existen fugas de agua pro-

cedentes de las mangueras y sus cone-

xiones.

• Si el electrodoméstico se instala en un lu-

gar sometido a heladas, consulte el capí-

tulo "Riesgos de helada".

• Los trabajos de fontanería necesarios pa-

ra instalar el electrodoméstico deberán

correr a cargo de un fontanero o técnico

especializado.

• Cualquier trabajo eléctrico que sea nece-

sario para instalar este aparato lo debe

llevar a cabo un electricista cualificado o

una persona competente.

USO

• Este aparato se ha diseñado para uso

doméstico. No se debe utilizar para otros

propósitos diferentes a los previstos.

• Lave solamente las prendas que estén

diseñadas para lavarse a máquina. Con-

sulte las instrucciones en la etiqueta de la

prenda.

• No sobrecargue el aparato. Consulte la

tabla de programas de lavado.

• Antes del lavado, asegúrese de que to-

dos los bolsillos de las prendas están va-

cíos y de que todos los botones y crema-

lleras están abrochados. Evite lavar pren-

das deshilachadas o desgarradas y trate

previamente las manchas de pintura, tin-

ta, óxido y grasa. Los sujetadores con

aros NO deben lavarse a máquina.

• Las prendas que han estado en contacto

con productos de petróleo volátil no de-

ben lavarse a máquina. Si se utilizan líqui-

dos de limpieza volátiles, se debe prestar

atención a eliminar el líquido de la prenda

antes de introducirla en la máquina.

• No tire del cable de corriente eléctrica

para desenchufar el electrodoméstico;

sujete siempre el cable por el enchufe.

• No utilice nunca la lavadora si el cable de

corriente eléctrica, el panel de mandos, o

la superficie de trabajo o la base están

dañados y se puede acceder al interior

de la lavadora.

SEGURIDAD DE LOS NIÑOS

• Este electrodoméstico no está destinado

a personas (incluidos niños) con funcio-

nes físicas o sensoriales reducidas o con

experiencia y conocimiento insuficientes,

a menos que una persona responsable

La máquina incorpora un dispositivo es-

pecial para evitar que los niños y los ani-

males domésticos queden atrapados en

el interior del tambor. Para activar este

dispositivo, gire el botón (sin presionarlo)

del interior de la puerta hacia la derecha

hasta que la ranura esté en posición hori-

zontal. Si es necesario, utilice una mone-

da. Para desactivar el dispositivo y per-

mitir el cierre de la puerta, gire el botón

hacia la izquierda hasta que la ranura se

sitúe en posición vertical.

DEPÓSITO DOSIFICADOR DE DETERGENTE

Compartimento del detergente para la

fase de prelavado y remojo o del quitaman-

chas utilizado durante la fase antimanchas

(si está disponible). El detergente de prela-

vado y remojo se deposita al principio del

programa de lavado. El quitamanchas se

deposita durante la fase de acción anti-

manchas.

Compartimento del detergente líquido o

en polvo para el lavado principal. Si se utili-

za detergente líquido, viértalo justo antes

de iniciar el programa.

Compartimento para aditivos líquidos

(suavizante, almidón).

Siga las instrucciones del fabricante del

producto sobre las cantidades y no permita

que el detergente supere la marca "MAX"

del depósito dosificador. Vierta el suavizan-

te o el almidón en el compartimento antes

de iniciar el programa de lavado.

PRIMER USO

• Compruebe que las conexiones

eléctricas e hidráulicas cumplen las

instrucciones de instalación.

• Retire el bloque de poliestireno y

cualquier otro material del tambor.

• Antes del primer lavado, ponga en

marcha un programa de algodón a

temperatura máxima y sin ropa para

eliminar cualquier residuo de fabrica-

ción que pueda haber en la cuba y

en el tambor. Vierta la mitad de una

dosis de detergente en el depósito

dosificador y ponga en marcha la

máquina.

PERSONALIZACIÓN

ELIJA EL IDIOMA

Al encender el aparato por primera vez, gi-

rando el selector de programas (1), tendrá

que seleccionar el idioma con el que desee

trabajar. La siguiente vez que encienda el

aparato, todos los mensajes aparecerán en

el idioma seleccionado.

¡Atención!

Si no aparece ningún idioma en la pantalla,

significa que el aparato ya se ha encendido

antes. De ser este el caso, si desea cam-

biar el idioma seleccionado, pulse al mismo

tiempo las teclas 3 y 4 durante 6 segundos

para activar el idioma en el que aparecerán

los menús. Pulse las teclas 5 (Arriba

Abajo

) para desplazarse por todos los

idiomas disponibles. Pulse la tecla 6 dos

veces para confirmar su selección.

AJUSTE LA HORA ( HORA )

Después del idioma deseado, debe ajustar

la hora antes del primer lavado.

Recuerde cambiar la hora de acuerdo con

el horario de verano o solar.

El ajuste del reloj permite modificar y definir

la hora actual. Es importante mantenerla

actualizada, ya que el tiempo del ciclo de fi-

nalización depende de ella.

Al presionar de forma breve las teclas 5, la

hora varía de minuto en minuto. Al presio-

nar las mismas teclas de forma continua, la

hora varía de 10 en 10 minutos. Pulse la

tecla 6 para fijar la hora actual.

¡Atención!

Si el aparato ya se ha encendido anterior-

mente, pulse las teclas 5 para activar el

menú Opción.

Al pulsar de nuevo las mismas teclas podrá

desplazarse por las opciones disponibles

hasta localizar el menú de ajustes ( Ajus-

tes ).

Pulse la tecla 6 para acceder al menú. Pul-

se las teclas 5 para desplazarse por todos

los ajustes hasta que aparezca la posición

del ajuste de la hora y pulse la tecla 6 para

confirmar su selección y ajustar el reloj.

PERSONALIZACIÓN DEL APARATO

Este aparato cuenta con un menú de ajus-

tes que le permite modificar los ajustes de

fábrica según desee.

Cuando encienda el aparato, girando el se-

lector de programas (1), pulse las teclas 5

para activar el menú Opciones. Al pulsar de

nuevo las mismas teclas podrá desplazarse

por todas las opciones disponibles hasta

localizar el menú Ajustes. Pulse la tecla 6

para acceder al menú. Pulse de nuevo las

teclas 5 para desplazarse por los distintos

ajustes, y pulse la tecla 6 para confirmar su

elección.

AJUSTE EL VOLUMEN DEL SONIDO

( VOLUMEN )

El ajuste de volumen permite modificar el

volumen del sonido. Pulse las teclas 5 para

elegir entre diferentes niveles de volumen

desde 0 a 9 (0 = sin sonido; 9 = máx.).

Pulse la tecla 6 para confirmar su elección.

ACTIVE EL SEGURO CONTRA LA

MANIPULACIÓN POR NIÑOS

( BLOQUEO PARA NIÑOS )

El aparato dispone de un bloqueo de segu-

ridad para niños que permite dejarlo sin su-

pervisión con la puerta cerrada, por lo que

no se tendrá que preocupar por si los niños

se lesionan con el aparato o provocan da-

ños en él

Ajuste esta opción antes de pulsar la tecla

7 y después de seleccionar el programa de

lavado necesario.

Esta función también permanece activada

cuando el aparato no está en funciona-

miento.

Ajuste el seguro contra la manipulación por

niños:

• pulse las teclas 5 para activar el menú de

opciones

• pulse las teclas 5 hacia arriba o hacia

abajo para ajustar el seguro contra la

manipulación por niños

• pulse la tecla 6 para activar esta opción.

El icono correspondiente cambia el esta-

do de apagado a encendido y la pantalla

solicita que pulse

y juntos durante

5 segundos para desbloquear la máqui-

na.

• pulse la tecla 3 ó 4 para que la pantalla

muestre el estado predeterminado.

Si pulsa cualquier tecla una vez iniciado el

programa con el seguro contra la manipula-

ción por niños activado, la pantalla indicará

que la máquina está bloqueada y sugerirá

que la desbloquee con la combinación de

teclas.

Al finalizar el programa, es necesario pulsar

simultáneamente las dos teclas 5 durante 5

segundos hasta que la pantalla indique la

máquina está desbloqueada para seleccio-

nar un nuevo programa.

AJUSTE EL BRILLO ( BRILLO )

La opción de brillo permite modificar la in-

tensidad de la iluminación de fondo de la

pantalla.

Pulse las teclas 5 para aumentar o reducir

el brillo.

Puede elegir entre distintos niveles desde 0

hasta 9 (0 = mín. - 9 = máx.).

Pulse la tecla 6 para confirmar su elección.

AJUSTE EL CONTRASTE

( CONTRASTE )

La opción de contraste permite modificar

las características ópticas de la pantalla.

Pulse las teclas 5 para aumentar o reducir

el contraste.

Puede elegir entre distintos niveles desde 0

hasta 9 (0 = mín. - 9 = máx.).

Si desea desactivar las señales acústicas,

excepto para el caso de fallos de funciona-

miento, consulte el capítulo anterior «Ajuste

del volumen de sonido».

USO DIARIO

Cargue la colada

Abra la puerta tirando cuidadosamente de

la palanca de la puerta hacia fuera. Sacuda

la ropa cuanto pueda e introdúzcala en el

tambor prenda por prenda. Cierre la puerta.

Asegúrese de que no quedan prendas en-

ganchadas entre la puerta y el cierre. Po-

dría provocar fugas de agua y dañar la co-

lada.

Mida la dosis de detergente y suavizan-

Tire del depósito dosificador hasta el tope.

Mida la cantidad de detergente necesaria y

viértala en el compartimento de lavado prin-

cipal

o en el compartimento adecuado si

la opción o el programa que ha selecciona-

do lo requieren (consulte más detalles en

"Depósito dosificador de detergente").

Si es necesario, vierta suavizante en el

compartimento con la marca

(la canti-

dad utilizada no debe superar la marca

"MAX" del depósito). Cierre el depósito sua-

vemente.

SELECCIONE EL PROGRAMA QUE

DESEE

Gire el selector (1) hasta el programa que

desee. Al encender el aparato, se oye un

tintineo; simultáneamente, la pantalla mues-

tra el logotipo de la marca y, durante unos

segundos, aparece una breve descripción

del programa seleccionado en las 2 últimas

filas de la pantalla.

Una vez seleccionado el programa, la pan-

talla del aparato (2) muestra la siguiente in-

formación:

La tecla 7 empieza a parpadear.

El selector de programas puede girarse ha-

cia la derecha y hacia la izquierda. Sitúelo

en O para reiniciar el programa o apagar la

máquina.

Al final del programa, el selector debe

situarse en la posición O para apagar

la máquina.

Importante Si gira el selector de

programas hasta la posición de otro

programa cuando la máquina está

funcionando, la pantalla indicará que se gire

el selector a la posición anterior.

La máquina no pondrá en marcha el nuevo

programa seleccionado.

PANTALLA

La PANTALLA sirve para programar un

gran número de funciones y para com-

binarlas entre sí utilizando sólo unos

cuantos elementos de control (1 selec-

tor de programas y 8 teclas). Gracias a

la pantalla interactiva resulta muy sen-

cillo controlar el funcionamiento. La

pantalla es interactiva porque su conte-

nido cambia con cada paso que se

realiza. De esta forma se garantiza que

sólo se ajusten las funciones posibles.

Puede ver los ajustes actuales en cual-

quier momento en el panel de informa-

ción y las filas de opciones.

En la pantalla se muestra la siguiente infor-

mación:

• Duración del programa seleccionado

Tras seleccionar un programa, la dura-

ción del programa de lavado (2.5) y la fi-

nalización estimada del ciclo (2.6) se

muestran en horas y minutos (por ejem-

plo, 20:33).

La duración se calcula automáticamente

sobre la base de una carga máxima re-

comendada para cada tipo de tejido.

Una vez que se ha iniciado el programa,

el tiempo restante se actualiza cada mi-

nuto.

• Pantalla de progreso del programa

Después de pulsar la tecla 7, la pantalla

muestra la fase en curso. En la pantalla

se puede ver el símbolo del tipo de tejido

seleccionado, la fase actual, la duración

del programa de lavado y la finalización

del ciclo. Cuando la máquina realiza la fa-

se de lavado, la pantalla muestra también

burbujas con animación que simulan el

movimiento del agua.

Consulte la imagen siguiente:

• Inicio diferido

El valor de tiempo de retardo selecciona-

do (hasta 20 horas como máximo) apare-

ce en la posición 2.5 de la pantalla (cuan-

do el aparato empieza a funcionar) junto

al icono correspondiente

cendido. El valor de tiempo de retardo

disminuye cada minuto.

• Códigos de alarma

En caso de fallos de funcionamiento,

pueden mostrarse algunos códigos de

alarma, como por ejemplo, « No se pue-

está abierto y pulse Inicio/Pausa » (véase

el capítulo «Qué hacer si...»).

Cuando termina el programa, la pantalla

TECLAS DE SELECCIÓN DE

PROGRAMAS

Existe la posibilidad de combinar distin-

tas funciones según el programa. Debe

seleccionarlos después de elegir el

programa y antes de pulsar la tecla 7.

Importante Consulte la compatibilidad de

los programas de lavado y las opciones en

«Programas de lavado».

SELECCIÓN DE LA TEMPERATURA

(TECLA 3)

Si desea lavar a una temperatura dis-

tinta de la que sugiere el aparato, pulse

varias veces la tecla 3 para aumentar o

reducir la temperatura (posición 2.1 de

la pantalla).

Importante Para ver las temperaturas

máxima y mínima para cada programa de

lavado, consulte «Programas de lavado».

SELECCIONE LA VELOCIDAD PARA

CENTRIFUGAR O LAS OPCIONES

DISPONIBLES (TECLA 4).

Pulse la tecla 4 varias veces para cambiar

la velocidad de centrifugado si desea cen-

trifugar la colada a una velocidad distinta a

la sugerida por el aparato.

Importante La velocidad de centrifugado

máxima para el programa de lavado

seleccionado aparece en la pantalla (2.2).

Si pulsa la tecla 4, es posible seleccionar

una de las opciones siguientes:

Sin centrifugado: esta opción elimina

todas las fases de centrifugado y aumenta

la cantidad de aclarados para algunos pro-

gramas.

Agua en Cuba ( Agua en la cuba ): al

seleccionar esta opción, el agua del último

aclarado no se descarga con el fin de impe-

dir que los tejidos se arruguen. Una vez fi-

nalizado el programa, la pantalla muestra el

icono del programa seleccionado y el men-

saje « Terminado », mientras en la pantalla

(2.5 y 2.6) aparecen el ciclo de finalización y

la hora actual. La señal acústica emite un

breve tintineo (si está activada), el piloto de

la tecla 7 se apaga y la puerta se bloquea

para indicar que es necesario descargar el

agua.

Para descargar el agua, consulte el

apartado «Al final del programa».

Ciclo nocturno ( Ciclo Noche ): al se-

leccionar esta opción, la máquina no des-

cargará el agua del último aclarado para

que las prendas no se arruguen.

Al suprimirse todas las fases de centrifuga-

do, el ciclo de lavado no hace ruido, de

modo que se puede programar por la no-

che o durante las horas en las que la tarifa

eléctrica es más económica. En algunos

programas se utiliza más agua para los

aclarados.

Una vez finalizado el programa, la pantalla

muestra el icono del programa selecciona-

do y el mensaje « Terminado », mientras en

la pantalla (2.5 y 2.6) aparecen el ciclo de fi-

nalización y la hora actual. El piloto de la

tecla 7 se apaga y la puerta se bloquea pa-

ra indicar que es necesario descargar el

agua.

Para descargar el agua, consulte el

apartado «Al final del programa».

SELECCIÓN DE LAS OPCIONES

En función del programa seleccionado, sólo

están disponibles determinadas opciones

que aparecen en la fase de selección en la

pantalla (2.3 y 2.4).

Nota: No todas las opciones son compati-

bles entre sí. Los iconos de opciones no

compatibles desaparecen.

Importante Consulte la compatibilidad de

los programas de lavado y las opciones en

«Programas de lavado».

Para seleccionar las opciones deseadas,

gire primero el selector (1) al programa de-

seado y no pulse la tecla 7.

Pulse las teclas 5 para activar el menú de

opciones. Mediante la tecla Arriba

Abajo

puede desplazarse por todas las

opciones disponibles.

La pantalla mostrará en toda el área visible

la opción seleccionada en modo resaltado.

El icono correspondiente aparecerá en el

lado derecho de la pantalla e inmediata-

mente debajo de él, un mensaje corto que

describe el estado de la opción (desactiva-

do o activado). Consulte el ejemplo siguien-

te:

Pulse la tecla 6 para activar y confirmar la

elección; púlselo de nuevo para desactivar

la opción seleccionada.

Cuando acabe de seleccionar las opciones,

pulse las teclas 3 o 4, o espere 10 segun-

dos para que la pantalla recupere el estado

predeterminado.

Los iconos seleccionados se muestran en

la pantalla.

Fase de prelavado ( Prelavado ): se-

leccione esta opción si desea que se apli-

que un ciclo de prelavado antes del lavado

principal.

El prelavado finaliza con un breve centrifu-

gado a 650 rpm en programas para algo-

dón y tejidos sintéticos, mientras que en el

programa para tejidos delicados sólo se

drena el agua.

Planchado fácil ( Planchado fácil ):

cuando se selecciona esta opción, se apli-

can ciclos de lavado y centrifugado suaves

para evitar que la ropa se arrugue. De este

modo, se facilita el planchado. Además, la

máquina realiza aclarados adicionales. Si

esta opción se selecciona con programas

de algodón, la velocidad de centrifugado se

reducirá automáticamente a 900 rpm.

Aclarado adicional ( AquaCare ): se

recomienda esta opción para personas

alérgicas al detergente y en zonas en las

que el agua es muy blanda. Se realizarán

algunos aclarados adicionales.

Inicio diferido ( Hora de fin ): esta op-

ción permite retrasar el inicio del programa

de lavado en 30, 60, 90 minutos o 2 horas

y, a partir de entonces, hasta 20 horas en

intervalos de 1 hora. El retardo selecciona-

do se indica en la pantalla. La hora de finali-

zación aumentará para mostrar el retardo

seleccionado.

Esta opción debe seleccionarse después

de elegir el programa y antes de pulsar la

tecla 7.

Si desea añadir ropa a la máquina mientras

está activado el intervalo de retraso, pulse

la tecla 7 para poner la máquina en pausa.

Introduzca la ropa, cierre la puerta y vuelva

a pulsar la tecla 7.

Es posible cancelar el tiempo de retardo en

cualquier momento antes de pulsar la tecla

Programa favorito ( Favorito ): esta

opción permite guardar los ajustes de los

programas que se utilizan con más frecuen-

cia (por ejemplo, algodón, 60 °C, 1200

rpm, con prelavado y aclarado extra). Exis-

ten 2 espacios de memoria disponibles pa-

ra este fin en las dos últimas posiciones del

selector de programas (1). El programa

guardado se selecciona de la misma mane-

ra que cualquier otro programa de lavado;

es decir, mediante el selector.

Guía de lavado ( Guía de lavado ): es-

te aparato cuenta con un menú de guía de

lavado que permite seleccionar la tempera-

tura, la velocidad de centrifugado y las op-

ciones más adecuadas para lavar las pren-

das.

En el menú de guía de lavado también se

incluye una guía para manchas ( Guía de

manchas ), que contiene información im-

portante sobre cómo eliminar las manchas

más representativas, así como un modo de

demostración que resulta ideal para realizar

demostraciones en la tienda (no adecuado

para el cliente).

PULSE LA TECLA 7 PARA INICIAR EL

PROGRAMA.

Para iniciar el programa seleccionado, pul-

se la tecla 7; el piloto verde deja de parpa-

dear.

La pantalla muestra el icono y, alternativa-

mente, el nombre y la fase de funciona-

miento del programa seleccionado para in-

dicar que el aparato se pone en marcha y

que la puerta está bloqueada.

Pulse la tecla 7 para interrumpir un progra-

ma en marcha: el piloto verde empieza a

parpadear y el icono del programa selec-

cionado aparece en la pantalla; ésta indica

que se debe pulsar la tecla 7 para continuar

unos segundos y a continuación el aparato

realiza una pausa. Pulse la tecla 7 otra vez

para reiniciar el programa a partir del punto

en que se interrumpió.

Si ha seleccionado un inicio diferido, el apa-

rato comienza la cuenta atrás.

CAMBIO DE UNA OPCIÓN O DE UN

PROGRAMA EN MARCHA

Es posible cambiar sólo las opciones mos-

tradas en la pantalla mediante las teclas 5

(Arriba o Abajo) antes de que el programa

las realice. Antes de realizar cambios, es

preciso poner el aparato en PAUSA, pul-

sando para ello la tecla 7.

El cambio de un programa en marcha sólo

puede realizarse reajustándolo. Gire el se-

lector de programas hasta O y, a continua-

ción, hasta la nueva posición del programa;

pulse la tecla 6 para cancelar el programa

de lavado anterior. Vuelva a pulsar la tecla 7

nuevamente para poner en marcha el nue-

vo programa. El agua de lavado de la cuba

no se vaciará.

INTERRUPCIÓN DE UN PROGRAMA

Pulse la tecla 7 para interrumpir el progra-

ma en marcha; el piloto correspondiente

empieza a parpadear Vuelva a pulsar la tec-

la para reiniciar el programa.

CANCELACIÓN DE UN PROGRAMA

Gire el selector de programas hasta la posi-

ción O y, a continuación, hasta el nuevo

programa seleccionado. Pulse la tecla 6

para cancelar el programa en marcha.

Vuelva a pulsar la tecla 7 para iniciar el nue-

vo programa.

APERTURA DE LA PUERTA UNA VEZ

INICIADO EL PROGRAMA

Pulse la tecla 7 para realizar una pausa en

la máquina. El mensaje correspondiente

aparecerá en la pantalla.

Si la puerta no se puede abrir, quiere decir

que el aparato ya está en fase de calenta-

miento y que el nivel de agua se encuentra

por encima del borde inferior de la puerta.

hacerlo, apague la máquina girando el se-

lector hasta la posición O. Transcurridos

unos minutos podrá abrir la puerta (preste

AL FINALIZAR EL PROGRAMA

El aparato se para automáticamente.

Si se han seleccionado las opciones Agua

en Cuba o Ciclo Noche , la luz de la tecla

7 se apagará, el icono del programa selec-

cionado y el mensaje « Terminado » apare-

cerán en la pantalla y la puerta permanece-

rá bloqueada para indicar que el agua se

debe vaciar antes de abrirla.

Para descargar el agua:

• seleccione el programa de descarga o de

centrifugado

• reduzca la velocidad de centrifugado, si

es necesario, mediante la tecla corres-

pondiente

• pulse la tecla 7

• al final del programa, la pantalla muestra

el icono

(Puerta) e indica alternativa-

mente que la puerta está desbloqueada y

que ha terminado. Se puede abrir la

puerta.

Gire el selector de programas hasta O para

apagar el aparato. Retire las prendas del

tambor y cerciórese de que el tambor que-

da vacío.

Si no va a realizar otro lavado, cierre la to-

ma del agua. Deje la puerta abierta para

evitar la aparición de moho y olores desa-

gradables.

En espera : una vez finalizado el progra-

ma, al cabo de unos minutos se activa el

sistema de ahorro de energía. Se reduce el

brillo de la pantalla. Al pulsar cualquier tec-

la, el aparato abandona el estado de ahorro

de energía.

CONSEJOS ÚTILES

CLASIFICACIÓN DE LA ROPA SUCIA

Consulte los símbolos de lavado que apa-

recen en la etiqueta de la prenda y siga las

instrucciones de lavado del fabricante. La

ropa se debe clasificar de la siguiente ma-

nera: ropa blanca, ropa de color, ropa sin-

tética, prendas delicadas y prendas de la-

na.

ANTES DE INTRODUCIR LA ROPA

SUCIA

Separe la ropa blanca de la ropa de color y

lávela por separado. Las prendas blancas

pueden perder su "blancura" al lavarlas.

La ropa de color nueva puede desteñir du-

rante el primer lavado; por lo tanto, es pre-

ciso lavarla aparte la primera vez.

Abotone las fundas de almohada y cierre

las cremalleras, ganchos, broches, etc. Ate

las correas o cintas largas.

Quite las manchas difíciles antes de lavar la

ropa.

Frote las zonas particularmente sucias con

un detergente especial o en pasta.

Tenga cuidado con las cortinas. Lávelas sin

los ganchos o dentro de una bolsa o malla.

ELIMINACIÓN DE MANCHAS

A veces no basta con agua y detergente

para quitar las manchas difíciles. En esos

casos es aconsejable aplicar un tratamiento

antes de lavar las prendas.

Sangre: aplique agua fría a las manchas de

sangre fresca. Si la sangre está seca, debe

dejar la prenda a remojo en agua con un

detergente especial durante la noche y lue-

go frotar con agua y jabón.

Pintura al aceite: humedezca la mancha

con un quitamanchas a base de disolvente,

extienda la prenda sobre un paño suave y

quite la mancha; repita el procedimiento va-

rias veces.

Grasa seca: humedezca la mancha con

aguarrás, extienda la prenda sobre una su-

perficie suave y quite la mancha con la ye-

ma de los dedos y un trapo de algodón.

Óxido: utilice ácido oxálico disuelto en

agua caliente o un quitamanchas para óxi-

do en frío. Tenga cuidado con las manchas

de óxido que no sean recientes, ya que la

estructura de la celulosa se habrá dañado y

el tejido tenderá a perforarse.

Moho: utilice lejía y aclare bien (prendas

blancas y de colores sólidos solamente).

Hierba: utilice un poco de jabón y aplique

lejía (prendas blancas y de colores sólidos

solamente).

Tinta y pegamento: humedezca con ace-

tona

, extienda la prenda sobre un paño

suave y quite la mancha.

Pintalabios: humedezca con acetona, co-

mo en el caso anterior, y luego quite la

mancha con alcohol desnaturalizado. Utilice

lejía para eliminar las marcas que puedan

quedar.

Vino tinto: ponga la prenda a remojo en

agua y detergente, aclare, aplique ácido

acético o cítrico y vuelva a aclarar. Utilice

lejía para eliminar las marcas que puedan

quedar.

Tinta: dependiendo del tipo de tinta, hume-

dezca la prenda en acetona

y luego en

ácido acético; utilice lejía en los tejidos de

color blanco para eliminar cualquier resto

que pueda quedar y aclare bien.

Alquitrán: primero aplique un quitaman-

chas, alcohol desnaturalizado o disolvente y

luego frote la mancha con un detergente en

pasta.

DETERGENTES Y ADITIVOS

El resultado del lavado también depende de

la elección del detergente y de las cantida-

des adecuadas, que permitan proteger el

entorno y evitar vertidos.

Aunque son biodegradables, los detergen-

tes contienen sustancias que, en grandes

cantidades, pueden alterar el delicado equi-

librio de la naturaleza.

La elección del detergente depende del tipo

de tejido (delicado, lana, algodón, etc.), del

color, de la temperatura de lavado y del

grado de suciedad.

En esta máquina pueden utilizarse todos

los detergentes de lavadora de uso habi-

tual:

• detergente en polvo para todo tipo de

prendas

• detergente en polvo para prendas delica-

das (60°C máx.) y lana

• detergente líquido para todo tipo de teji-

dos o especial para lana, preferiblemente

para programas de lavado a baja tempe-

ratura (60°C máx.).

El detergente y los aditivos deben introdu-

cirse en los compartimentos correspon-

dientes del depósito dosificador antes de

poner en marcha el programa de lavado.

Si se utiliza detergente líquido, debe selec-

cionar un programa sin prelavado.

La lavadora incorpora un sistema de recir-

culación que garantiza un aprovechamiento

óptimo del detergente concentrado.

Siga las instrucciones del fabricante del

producto en cuanto a cantidades y no per-

mita que el detergente supere la marca

"MAX" que hay en el depósito dosifica-

dor.

CANTIDAD DE DETERGENTE

El tipo y la cantidad de detergente depen-

den del tipo de tejido que se va a lavar, así

como de la carga, del grado de suciedad y

de la dureza del agua.

Siga las instrucciones del fabricante del

producto en lo referente a la cantidad de

detergente que se debe utilizar.

Use menos detergente en los casos si-

guientes:

• si la lavadora tiene poca carga

• si la ropa no está muy sucia

• si se forma mucha espuma durante el la-

vado.

GRADOS DE DUREZA DEL AGUA

La dureza del agua se clasifica en "grados".

Para obtener información sobre la dureza

del agua local, puede consultar a la compa-

ñía encargada del suministro o a la admi-

nistración local. Si el agua tiene un grado

de dureza medio o alto, se recomienda

añadir un descalcificante de agua de acuer-

do con las instrucciones del fabricante del

mismo. Cuando el agua sea blanda, basta-

rá con ajustar la dosis de detergente.

MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA

Advertencia Antes de efectuar

cualquier tipo limpieza o

mantenimiento, desenchufe el aparato

de corriente eléctrica.

DESINCRUSTACIÓN

El agua corriente que utilizamos suele con-

tener cal. Se recomienda utilizar periódica-

mente en la lavadora un producto en polvo

descalcificador del agua. Realice esta tarea

con independencia de cualquier ciclo de la-

vado y de acuerdo con las instrucciones del

fabricante del producto descalcificador. Así

impedirá la formación de depósitos de cal.

DESPUÉS DE CADA LAVADO

Mantenga la puerta abierta durante un rato.

Así impedirá la formación de moho y olor a

humedad en el interior de la máquina. Tam-

bién ayudará a conservar en buen estado la

junta de estanqueidad de la puerta.

LAVADO DE MANTENIMIENTO

La sucesión de lavados a baja temperatura

favorece la acumulación de residuos en el

interior del tambor.

Se recomienda realizar un lavado de man-

tenimiento con regularidad.

Para poner en marcha un lavado de mante-

nimiento:

• El tambor no debe contener ropa.

• Seleccione el programa de lavado de al-

godón de más temperatura.

• Utilice una dosis normal de detergente:

puede ser en polvo con propiedades bio-

lógicas.

LIMPIEZA DEL EXTERIOR

Limpie la carcasa exterior del electrodo-

méstico con agua y jabón únicamente y sé-

quela a fondo.

Importante No utilice alcohol

desnaturalizado, disolventes ni otros

productos similares para limpiar la carcasa.

LIMPIEZA DEL DEPÓSITO

DOSIFICADOR DE DETERGENTE

El depósito dosificador de detergente debe

limpiarse con regularidad.

Los depósitos de detergente en polvo y de

los aditivos de lavado deben limpiarse con

regularidad.

Retire la cubeta presionando el tope hacia

abajo y tirando hacia fuera.

Enjuáguela bajo el grifo para eliminar los

restos de detergente en polvo acumulados.

Para facilitar la limpieza debe extraerse la

parte superior del compartimento de aditi-

vos. Limpie todos los componentes con

agua.

Limpie el interior del depósito con un cepi-

llo.

TAMBOR DE LAVADO

La presencia de cuerpos extraños oxidan-

tes en el lavado y el agua corriente con

contenido en hierro pueden dar lugar a la

formación de depósitos de óxido en el tam-

bor.

Importante No limpie el tambor con

desincrustantes ácidos, desengrasantes

que contengan cloro, ni estropajos de

hierro o acero.

1. Retire los depósitos de óxido del tam-

bor con un agente de limpieza para

acero inoxidable.

2. Ponga en marcha un ciclo de lavado

sin introducir ropa para limpiar los resi-

duos del agente de limpieza.

Programa: programa de algodón corto

a temperatura máxima y añada aproxi-

madamente un cuarto de un vaso de

medida de detergente.

JUNTA DE ESTANQUEIDAD DE LA

PUERTA

Compruebe la junta de vez en cuando y

quite todo objeto que haya quedado atra-

pado en el pliegue.

BOMBA DE DESAGÜE

El filtro debe inspeccionarse con regulari-

dad, especialmente en caso de que

• el aparato no desagüe o no centrifugue;

• el aparato presente un ruido extraño du-

rante la descarga porque haya objetos,

como imperdibles, monedas, etc., que

obstruyan el filtro;

• se detecte un problema con el desagüe

del agua (consulte el capítulo “Qué hacer

si...” para obtener más información).

Advertencia Antes de abrir la puerta

del filtro, apague el aparato y

desenchúfelo de la toma de corriente.

Proceda como sigue:

1. Desconecte la clavija de la toma de co-

rriente.

2. Si es necesario, espere hasta que el

agua se enfríe.

3. Abra la puerta del filtro haciendo palan-

ca en la ranura con una moneda (o con

la herramienta correspondiente, que

encontrará en la bolsa que contiene el

folleto de instrucciones, según el mo-

delo).

4. Coloque un recipiente de borde peque-

ño cerca de la bomba para recoger el

líquido que pueda derramarse.

5. Extraiga el tapón de desagüe de emer-

gencia de la tapa del filtro usando unos

alicates.

6. Cuando deje de salir agua, desenros-

que la tapa del filtro girándola hacia la

izquierda, con los alicates, y retire el fil-

tro. Tenga siempre a mano un trapo

para secar el agua que se derrame al

extraer la tapa.

Limpie el filtro bajo el grifo para eliminar

los restos de pelusas.

7. Retire los cuerpos extraños y limpie las

pelusas del filtro y del rotor.

8. Asegúrese de que el rotor del filtro gira

(gira con sacudidas). Si no gira, pónga-

se en contacto con el servicio técnico.

9. Vuelva a colocar el filtro en la bomba

insertándolo correctamente en las

guías especiales. Enrosque la tapa de

la bomba firmemente girándola hacia la

derecha.

10. Vuelva a colocar el tapón de desagüe

de emergencia en la tapa del filtro y

apriételo firmemente.

11. Cierre la puerta del filtro.

Advertencia Cuando la lavadora está

en marcha, dependiendo del programa

seleccionado, puede haber agua

caliente en el filtro. Nunca extraiga la

tapa del filtro durante un ciclo de

lavado; espere siempre a que la

lavadora haya terminado el ciclo y esté

vacía. Al volver a colocar la tapa del

filtro, asegúrese de apretarla

firmemente para impedir que se

produzcan fugas y que los niños

puedan sacarla.

LIMPIEZA DE LOS FILTROS DE

ENTRADA DE AGUA

Si nota que la lavadora tarda demasiado en

llenarse, compruebe que el filtro situado en

la manguera de entrada de agua no esté

obstruido.

1. cierre la toma de agua;

2. Desconecte la manguera de entrada de

agua.

3. Limpie el filtro de la manguera con un

cepillo rígido.

4. Vuelva a enroscar la manguera en la to-

ma de agua.

5. Desenrosque la manguera de la máqui-

na. Tenga una bayeta a mano porque

puede salir algo de agua.

6. Limpie el filtro en la válvula con un cepi-

llo rígido o con un trozo de tela.

7. Vuelva a enroscar la manguera en la

máquina y compruebe que la conexión

esté bien ajustada.

8. Abra el grifo.

DESCARGA DE EMERGENCIA

Si la lavadora no descarga, proceda de la

siguiente manera para vaciarla:

1. desconecte la clavija de la toma de co-

rriente;

2. cierre la toma de agua;

3. si es necesario, espere a que el agua

se enfríe;

4. abra la puerta del filtro;

5. coloque un recipiente en el suelo. Ex-

traiga el tapón de desagüe de emer-

gencia del filtro. El agua debería dirigir-

se al recipiente por acción de la grave-

dad. Cuando el recipiente se llene,

vuelva a poner el tapón en el filtro. Va-

cíe el recipiente. Repita el procedimien-

to hasta que deje de salir agua;

6. si es necesario, limpie el filtro como se

ha descrito anteriormente;

7. vuelva a enroscar el filtro y cierre la

puerta.

PRECAUCIONES CONTRA LA

CONGELACIÓN

Si la máquina se instala en un lugar en el

que la temperatura podría descender por

debajo de 0°C, tome las siguientes precau-

ciones:

1. Desconecte la máquina de la toma de

corriente.

2. Cierre la toma de agua.

3. Desconecte la manguera de entrada.

4. Coloque el extremo de la manguera de

entrada de agua en un recipiente depo-

sitado en el suelo, abra el tapón de de-

sagüe de emergencia del filtro y deje

que salga el agua.

5. Vuelva a acoplar el tapón de desagüe

de emergencia en el filtro y enrosque la

manguera de entrada de agua.

6. Para volver a poner en marcha la má-

quina, asegúrese de que la temperatu-

ra ambiente es superior a 0 °C.

QUÉ HACER SI…

Algunos problemas, que pueden deberse

sencillamente a falta de mantenimiento o a

descuidos, pueden resolverse sin necesi-

dad de llamar al servicio técnico. Antes de

ponerse en contacto con el centro de servi-

cio técnico local, realice las comprobacio-

nes indicadas en la lista siguiente.

Durante el funcionamiento de la máquina es

posible que el piloto rojo de la tecla 7 par-

padee, que aparezca uno de los códigos

de error siguientes en el visor digital y que

se emitan algunas señales acústicas cada

20 segundos para indicar que la máquina

no está funcionando:

• Problemas con el suministro de agua:

« No se puede cargar agua. Compruebe

que el grifo está abierto y pulse INICIO/

PAUSA ».

• Problema con el desagüe: « No se puede

desaguar Compruebe que el filtro está

limpio y pulse Inicio/Pausa ».

• Puerta abierta: « Compruebe que la puer-

ta está bien cerrada y pulse Inicio/Pausa.

».

Cuando se haya solucionado el problema,

pulse la tecla 7 para reiniciar el programa.

Si no consigue resolver el problema des-

pués de realizar todas las comprobaciones

pertinentes, póngase en contacto con el

centro de servicio técnico.

• Gire el selector de programas y vuelva a pulsar la tecla 7.

Se ha presionado la tecla de inicio diferido.

• Si el lavado se va a realizar de inmediato, cancele el inicio diferi-

do.

Se ha activado el bloqueo de seguridad para niños.

• Desactive el bloqueo de seguridad para niños.

dentro de la cuba o que elimina todas las fases de centrifugado.

Las prendas no están uniformemente distribuidas en el tambor.

• Vuelva a distribuir las prendas.

Hay agua en el suelo:

Se ha utilizado demasiado detergente o un detergente inadecua-

do (que produce demasiada espuma).

• Reduzca la cantidad de detergente o utilice otro.

Compruebe si hay fugas en alguno de los racores de la manguera

de entrada de agua. No siempre resulta fácil detectar las fugas, ya

que el agua desciende por la manguera; compruebe que el racor

no está mojado.

• Compruebe la conexión de la manguera de entrada de agua.

La manguera de desagüe o de entrada está dañada.

• Sustitúyala por una nueva.

El tapón del desagüe de emergencia no se ha colocado de vuelta

en el filtro o el éste no se ha enroscado adecuadamente después

de limpiar.

• Vuelva a colocar el tapón de desagüe de emergencia o enros-

que el filtro hasta el tope.

Los resultados del lavado

no son satisfactorios:

Se ha utilizado poco detergente o un detergente inadecuado.

• Aumente la cantidad de detergente o utilice otro.

No se han tratado las manchas difíciles antes de lavar la ropa.

• Emplee productos comerciales para tratar las manchas difíciles.

No se ha seleccionado la temperatura adecuada.

• Compruebe si ha seleccionado la temperatura correcta.

Se han metido demasiadas prendas.

• Reduzca la carga.

El centrifugado se retrasa o

la máquina no centrifuga:

El dispositivo que detecta desequilibrios en la carga ha interrumpi-

do el proceso debido a que las prendas no están uniformemente

distribuidas en el tambor. La ropa se redistribuye mediante la rota-

ción inversa del tambor. Es posible que el tambor gire varias veces

antes de que deje de detectarse el problema y se reanude el ciclo

de centrifugado normal. Si la carga no se distribuye uniformemen-

te en el tambor después de 10 minutos, la máquina no centrifuga-

rá. En este caso, es necesario redistribuirla manualmente y selec-

cionar el programa de centrifugado.

• Vuelva a distribuir las prendas.

La carga es insuficiente.

• Añada más prendas, redistribuya la carga manualmente y selec-

cione el programa de centrifugado.

La máquina emite un ruido

extraño:

La máquina incorpora un tipo de motor que emite un ruido extra-

ño comparado con el de otros motores tradicionales. Este nuevo

motor garantiza un inicio más suave e incluso una mejor distribu-

ción de las prendas en el tambor durante el centrifugado, así co-

mo una mayor estabilidad de la máquina.

No se ve agua en el tambor:

Las máquinas de tecnología moderna están diseñadas para eco-

nomizar y emplean muy poca agua, sin que ello afecte al rendi-

miento.

Si no puede identificar o resolver el proble-

ma, póngase en contacto con nuestro cen-

tro de servicio técnico. Antes de llamar al

centro, anote el modelo, el número de serie

y la fecha en que adquirió el electrodomés-

tico; el centro de servicio técnico le pedirá

esta información.

Programas estándar para los valores

de consumo de etiqueta energética

Algodón ECO 60 °C y 40 °C son progra-

mas para algodón estándar para prendas

de algodón con suciedad normal. Son ade-

cuados para lavar colada de algodón de

suciedad normal y son los programas más

eficaces en cuanto a consumo de agua y

energía para el lavado de ese tipo de pren-

das de algodón.

Cumplen la norma EN60456.

La temperatura real del agua puede va-

riar respecto a la temperatura declara-

da del ciclo.

INSTALACIÓN

DESEMBALAJE

Es preciso retirar todo el material de emba-

laje y los pasadores antes de utilizar el apa-

rato.

Se aconseja guardar todo este material pa-

ra usarlo de nuevo en caso de que sea ne-

cesario transportar el aparato.

1. Después de retirar todo el material de

embalaje, recueste con cuidado la má-

quina sobre su parte trasera para ex-

traer la base de poliestireno de la parte

inferior.

2. Retire el cable de alimentación y la

manguera de descarga de los soportes

de manguera situados en la parte tra-

sera de la máquina

3. Suelte los tres pernos.

4. Deslice los separadores de plástico pa-

ra quitarlos.

5. Abra la puerta y extraiga el bloque de

poliestireno fijado a la junta de estan-

queidad de la puerta.

6. Tape el orificio superior más pequeño y

los dos más grandes con los tapones

de plástico incluidos en la bolsa con el

manual de instrucciones.

COLOCACIÓN

Instale la máquina en el suelo sobre una su-

perficie plana y rígida. Asegúrese de que el

aire circula correctamente alrededor de la

lavadora aunque haya moqueta, alfombras,

etc. Compruebe que la máquina no toca la

pared ni otros muebles o elementos. Nivele

la lavadora subiendo o bajando las patas.

Puede que resulte difícil ajustar las patas,

ya que incorporan una tuerca de seguridad,

pero DEBEN estar niveladas y estables. Si

es necesario, compruebe el ajuste con un

nivel de burbuja. Los ajustes necesarios

pueden realizarse con una llave. Un nivela-

do correcto evita las vibraciones, el ruido y

el desplazamiento de la lavadora durante el

funcionamiento.

Precaución No coloque cartón,

madera ni otros materiales similares

bajo la máquina para compensar los

desniveles del suelo.

Disponible en su distribuidor autorizado.

Las patas de goma se recomiendan espe-

cialmente para suelos flotantes, deslizantes

y de madera.

Monte las patas de goma para evitar vibra-

ciones, ruidos y desplazamientos del apa-

rato durante el funcionamiento.

Lea atentamente las instrucciones que se

suministran con el kit.

ENTRADA DE AGUA

Se suministran tubos de entrada de agua,

que hallará en el interior del tambor de la

máquina. No utilice los tubos de una má-

quina anterior para conectar el suministro

de agua.

Importante Este aparato debe conec-

tarse a un suministro de agua fría.

1. Abra la puerta de la lavadora y extraiga

el tubo de entrada de agua.

2. Conecte el tubo a la lavadora mediante

la conexión en ángulo. No coloque el

tubo de entrada hacia abajo. Sitúelo a

la izquierda o a la derecha en función

de la posición de la toma de agua.

3. Afloje la tuerca anular para colocar el

tubo correctamente. Después de situar

el tubo, vuelva a apretar la contratuerca

para evitar fugas de agua.

4. Conecte el tubo a una toma de agua

mediante una rosca de 3/4 pulgadas.

Debe utilizar siempre el tubo suminis-

trado con el aparato.

No utilice prolongaciones para el tubo de

entrada de agua. Si es demasiado corto y

no desea mover la toma de agua, tendrá

que adquirir un tubo más largo diseñado

especialmente para estos casos.

DISPOSITIVO ANTIFUGA

El tubo de entrada de agua se suministra

con un dispositivo antifuga para impedir los

daños causados por las posibles fugas de

agua producidas por el envejecimiento na-

tural del tubo. Este fallo se indica mediante

un sector rojo en la ventana "A". Si esto

ocurre, cierre la toma de agua y pida a su

Centro de servicio técnico local que sustitu-

ya el tubo.

DESAGÜE

El extremo de la manguera de desagüe se

puede instalar de tres maneras distintas.

• Sujeto por encima del borde de un

fregadero con la guía de plástico sumi-

nistrada. En este caso, debe asegurarse

de que el extremo de la manguera no se

desengancha cuando la lavadora está

desaguando. Para evitarlo, ate el extremo

de la manguera a la toma de agua con

un trozo de cuerda o fíjelo a la pared.

• En un empalme de derivación para

descarga en el fregadero.Este empal-

me debe estar encima de la toma para

que el codo quede al menos 60 cm so-

bre el nivel del suelo.

•

Directamente en un tubo de desagüe

a una altura mínima de 60 cm y máxima

de 90 cm. El extremo de la manguera de

descarga siempre debe estar ventilado;

es decir, el diámetro interno del tubo de

descarga debe ser mayor que el diáme-

tro externo de la manguera. La manguera

de desagüe no debe estar retorcida.

La manguera de descarga debe extenderse hasta un máximo de 4 metros. En el Centro

de servicio técnico local encontrará disponibles una manguera de descarga y una pieza

de unión adicionales.

CONEXIÓN ELÉCTRICA

Los datos de la conexión eléctrica se indi-

can en la placa de datos técnicos, situada

en el borde interno de la puerta de la lava-

dora.

Compruebe que la instalación eléctrica de

su hogar está preparada para soportar la

potencia máxima necesaria y tenga tam-

bién en cuenta el resto de electrodomésti-

cos.

Conecte la lavadora a una toma de

corriente con puesta a tierra.

El fabricante declina toda

responsabilidad por los daños o las

lesiones que puedan producirse si

no se respetan las indicaciones de

seguridad anteriores.

El cable de corriente eléctrica debe

quedar en una posición fácilmente

accesible una vez instalada la

máquina.

El centro de servicio técnico es el

único autorizado para cambiar el

cable de corriente eléctrica del

electrodoméstico en caso

necesario.

ASPECTOS MEDIOAMBIENTALES

El símbolo que aparece en el aparato o

en su embalaje, indica que este producto

no se puede tratar como un residuo normal

del hogar. Se deberá entregar, sin coste

para el poseedor, bien al distribuidor, en el

acto de la compra de un nuevo producto

similar al que se deshecha, bien a un punto

municipal de recolección selectiva de

equipos eléctricos y electrónicos para su

reciclaje. Al asegurarse de que este

producto se desecha correctamente, usted

ayudará a evitar posibles consecuencias

CONSEJOS ECOLÓGICOS

A continuación ofrecemos algunos conse-

jos para ahorrar agua y energía y ayudar a

proteger el medio ambiente:

• La ropa que no esté demasiado sucia se

puede lavar con un programa que no in-

cluya prelavado a fin de ahorrar deter-

gente, agua y tiempo (y proteger el me-

dio ambiente).

• El lavado resulta más económico si la la-

vadora se llena por completo.

• Con un tratamiento previo adecuado es

posible eliminar manchas y suciedad mo-

derada; de manera que la ropa se pueda

lavar a menos temperatura.

• Dosifique el detergente en función de la

dureza del agua, el grado de suciedad y

la cantidad de ropa que se va a lavar.
