• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering

from any physical ailment that would limit the user’s capacity to

operate the controls or who has sensory deficiencies in the lower

half of their body.

• This unit should not be used by children or invalids without adult

supervision.

• This product is not for use in automobiles.

Instructions for Use

The Shiatsu Portable Massaging Cushion comes with a screw located

on the back of the unit to protect the massage mechanism during

shipment, which must be removed before the first use to allow the unit

to function properly. Use the provided allen wrench. Then, properly

dispose of the screw, and place the included black plug into the hole

that was left by the screw. Warning - Failure to remove screw may

cause permanent damage to the massage cushion.

Plug adaptor into a 120 volt AC outlet and plug the receptacle end

into the input jack, located along the side of the cushion. Attach the

cushion to most chairs for a luxurious massage as you read, rest or

even work. See pages 6-7 for instructions on the use of the hand

control.

Strapping System

The Shiatsu Portable Massaging Cushion incorporates a unique

strapping system which allows you to fasten it to almost any chair. Just

slip the straps over the seat or chair and adjust fastening straps to

secure. Your massager won’t slip or slide away.

Maintenance

To Store

Place massager in its box or in a safe, dry, cool place. Avoid contact

with sharp edges or pointed objects which might cut or puncture the

fabric surface. To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around

the unit. Do not hang the unit by the hand control cord.

To Clean

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a

soft, slightly damp sponge. Never allow water or any other liquids to

come into contact with the unit.

• Do not immerse in any liquid to clean.

• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene,

glass / furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.

• Do not attempt to repair the Shiatsu Portable Massaging Cushion.

There are no user serviceable parts. For service, send the

unit to the HoMedics address listed in the warranty section.

Caution:

Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu is a deep kneading circular massage.

This unit features a massage mechanism that

travels up and down the back of the cushion.

NOTE: The moving

shiatsu massage

mechanism always

“parks” or finishes in

its lowest position. It

will continue to this

position after the

power has been

turned off. If the

electrical supply is

interrupted, when

power is restored,

the mechanism will

“park” or move to its

lowest position.

Shiatsu Massage

Zone Buttons

Zone buttons turn the unit on and cause the

moving Shiatsu massage mechanism to

target specific areas:

Full

The Shiatsu massage mechanism travels up

and down the full length of the track.

Upper

The Shiatsu massage mechanism focuses in

the upper half of the track.

Lower

The Shiatsu mechanism focuses in the lower

half of the track.

To turn on the unit and select a massage

area, simply push the button and the

corresponding L.E.D. light will illuminate. To

deselect, either press another zone button or

OFF.

NOTE: There is a 15-minute auto shut off

on the unit for your safety.

LIMITED TWO YEAR WARRANTY

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a

period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics warrants that its

products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty

extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.

To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales receipt (as proof

of purchase), postpaid, to the following address:

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer

purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the

terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the

attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs

or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or

damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation

damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at

a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the

control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is

purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than

the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products

damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE NO

OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY

OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS

COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL,

CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE

EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR

products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and

terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the

Instrucciones de uso

El Almohadón Masajeador Portátil Shiatsu trae un tornillo en el

respaldo de la unidad que sirve para proteger el mecanismo de

masaje durante el transporte; es necesario quitar ese tornillo antes del

primer uso para permitir que la unidad funcione correctamente. Para

retirarlo, use la llave Allen incluida. Deseche el tornillo

apropiadamente, y coloque el tapón negro incluido en el orificio donde

estaba el tornillo. Advertencia – El no retirar el tornillo puede causar

daño permanente al almohadón para masajes.

Enchufe el adaptador en un tomacorriente de 120 voltios de CA y el

extremo del receptáculo en la ficha de entrada ubicada sobre el lado

del cojín. Adjunte el almohadón a cualquier silla para obtener un lujoso

masaje mientras lee, descansa e incluso mientras trabaja. Vea las

El Almohadón Masajeador Portátil Shiatsu incorpora un exclusivo

Mantenimiento

Para guardar

filosos u objetos punzantes que puedan cortar o perforar la superficie

del material que lo recubre. Para evitar roturas, NO envuelva el cable

de corriente alrededor de la unidad. NO cuelgue la unidad del cable

del control manual.

Para limpiar

Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe antes de limpiarla. Limpie

únicamente con una esponja suave, apenas húmeda. Nunca permita

que el agua ni otro líquido entre en contacto con la unidad.

• NO sumerja la unidad en ningún líquido para limpiarla.

• NUNCA utilice limpiadores abrasivos, cepillos, gasolina, querosén,

limpiador de vidrios o lustramuebles para limpiar.

• No intente reparar usted mismo el Almohadón Masajeador Portátil

Shiatsu. No hay piezas que necesiten servicio por parte del usuario.

Shiatsu es un masaje con movimiento circular

Para encender la unidad y seleccionar un

área de masaje, simplemente presione el

botón y el L.E.D. correspondiente se

iluminará. Para deseleccionar, presione el

botón de otra área o el botón OFF.

ATENCIÓN: La unidad se apaga

automáticamente después de 15

minutos, por seguridad.
