When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions

2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs,

children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are super-
vised by a person who is responsible for their safety or receive
instructions from this person on how to use the product.
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with
the product.
5. Children must be kept away from the appliance and the
power cord.
6. Unplug the appliance from the outlet while not in use and
before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool before putting
on or taking off parts and before cleaning it.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in
any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized
service provider for examination, repair or adjustment.
8. Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter, or

9. Ensure that the power cord never gets wet or damp when
the appliance is in use. Route the cord so that it cannot be
trapped or damaged in any way.
10. Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cords to be
replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or by
our customer service department to avoid the risk of injury.
11. Set up the appliance as close as possible to the electrical
power socket. Ensure that the power plug is quickly reach-
able in case of danger.
12. Provide a stable location for the appliance.
13. Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric
burner or in a heated oven.
14. Do not cook on broken cooktop – If cooktop should break,
cleaning solutions and spillovers may penetrate the broken
cook-top and create a risk of electric shock.
15. Do not place metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons
and lids on the table stove since they can get hot.
16. To disconnect the appliance, pull the plug out of the wall outlet.
17. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
18. Never leave the appliance unattended during operation.
19. Clean cooktop with caution – If a wet sponge or cloth is
used to wipe spills on a hot cooking area, be careful to
avoid steam burn, some cleaners can produce noxious
fumes if applied to a hot surface.
20. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended
use.
21. A fire may occur if the appliance is covered or touches
flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls,
etc., while in operation. Do not store any item on top of the
appliance while it is in operation.

Intended use
This appliance is intended exclusively for heating up food indoors.
It is intended exclusively for use in domestic households.
Not to be used for commercial purposes.
Important cord information
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, there is only one way
this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet. If the plug does
not completely fit into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the
plug in any way.
a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord)
is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled
in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are
available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is
used:
1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply
cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the appliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord
should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord; and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape
over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on
by children or tripped over.

Package contents and initial inspection
The appliance comes standard with the following components:

♦ Take all the parts out of the box.
♦ Remove the packaging material and any protective wrapping.
♦ Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section
“Cleaning and maintenance”.
► Check the package for completeness and signs of visible dam-
age. If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as
a result of defective packaging or during transport, contact
the customer service hotline (see "3 year limited warranty"
section).

Setting up and connecting
♦ Place the appliance on a stable, level, and heat-resistant
surface.
♦ With both thermostats / turned to the 0 position, insert
the plug into a power socket.
♦ Set the two thermostats / to MAX and allow the cooktops
/ to heat up for about 3 minutes without placing a pot or
pan on them. This can cause slight smoke development since
the previously applied protective coating will burn off. Ensure
sufficient ventilation. For example, open a window.
♦ Turn off the cooktops / after 3 minutes.
The appliance is now ready for use.
Energy-efficient cooking
■ Use cooking pots with the same diameter as the respective
cooktop /. If you use particularly small pots that do not
cover the whole cooktop /, a great deal of energy is
wasted.
■ Ensure that the pots/pans rest flat on the cooktops /.
Dented or uneven bottoms prevent optimum heat conduction.
■ To save energy, you can turn off the cooktop / before
you have completely finished cooking. The residual heat of the
cooktop / is usually sufficient to finish cooking the food.
Operation
♦ Place the filled saucepan on the required cooktop /.
♦ Turn the relevant thermostat / to the required setting:
–0: turned off
– – 4: slow cooking
–4 – MAX: fast cooking
The relevant control indicator light / for the cooktop /
you have turned on lights up.

► The control indicator light / remains lit while the cook-
top / is heating up. As soon as the selected temperature
has been reached, the control indicator light / turns off.
During operation, it is possible that the control indicator
light / turns on and off. This is not a malfunction of the
appliance, but merely an indication that the cooktop /
is reheating occasionally to maintain the temperature.
♦ Once the cooking process has finished, adjust the thermostat
/ back to 0. The control indicator light / turns off.
If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period,
remove the plug from the power socket.
Cleaning and maintenance
► Never submerse the appliance in water or other liquids!
► Before cleaning the appliance, unplug it and wait until it has
cooled down completely. Risk of injury!
► Do not use abrasive, chemical, or caustic cleaning agents to
clean this appliance! They can damage the appliance.
♦ Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains
add a mild detergent to the cloth.
Ensure that you remove all detergent residues with a moist
cloth afterwards.
♦ Please wait until the appliance is completely dry before storing
or using it again.

What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
● Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
● Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to follow
the safety and maintenance instructions provided in the user
manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
● Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts
(such as switches, glass, etc.);
● Improper use or transport;
● Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
● Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.);
● Tampering with the product (such as removing cover, unscrewing

Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered under

Información importante sobre el cable

Colocación y conexión
♦ Coloque el dispositivo sobre una superficie estable, nivelada y
resistente al calor.
♦ Con ambos termostatos / colocados en la posición 0,
inserte el enchufe en una toma de corriente.
♦ Coloque los dos termostatos / en MAX y permita que las
cubiertas de estufa / se calienten durante unos 3 minutos
sin colocar ninguna olla o sartén sobre ellas. Esto puede causar
un poco de humo, ya que la capa protectora que se aplicó
previamente se quemará. Asegúrese de que haya suficiente
ventilación. Por ejemplo, abra una ventana.

Operación
♦ Coloque la cacerola en la cubierta de estufa / que
desee.
♦ Gire el termostato correspondiente / hasta la posición
requerida:

Limpieza y mantenimiento
► ¡Nunca sumerja el dispositivo en agua u otros líquidos!
► Antes de limpiar el dispositivo, desconéctelo y espere hasta
que se enfríe completamente. ¡Riesgo de lesiones!
► No use agentes de limpieza abrasivos, químicos o cáusticos
para limpiar este dispositivo. Estos pueden dañar el dispositivo.
♦ Limpie el dispositivo con una tela humedecida. Para suciedad
difícil, agregue un detergente suave a la tela.
Asegúrese de remover todos los residuos de detergente
posteriormente con una tela humedecida.
♦ Espere hasta que el dispositivo esté completamente seco
antes de guardarlo o de volver a usarlo.
Almacenamiento
♦ Guarde el dispositivo en un lugar seco y libre de polvo.

¿Lo que no cubre esta garantía?
La garantía no cubre daños causados por:

La presente garantía tampoco cubre daños indirectos o emergentes.

¿Período de cobertura y resolución de la garantía?
La garantía es válida por 3 años a partir de la fecha de compra.
