3. Place a maximum of two slices of bread or bagel into the bread slot. Be sure to
place the bagel into the toaster with the cut side to the front.
4. Select the desired toast color setting. Note: Toaster pastries, tarts, etc. can ignite
if over-heated. Toast at the lowest setting with constant attention. This toaster is
designed to cook hotter and faster than most toasters.
5. Press the toast lever down until it locks into place. The “CANCEL” light will glow
and the toasting cycle will begin. Note: The toaster must be plugged in and the
serving tray open for the toast lever to lock in place.
6. If desired, press “BAGEL” and/or “GLUTEN FREE” button(s). “BAGEL” will toast
the front side. “GLUTEN FREE” will toast longer, at a lower power, which
produces better results for gluten free breads. These settings can be used
simultaneously.
7. When the selected color is reached, the toast rack will open to the bottom of the
toaster and the toast will drop out onto serving tray. The “CANCEL” light and
toaster will turn off. The toast cycle can be stopped anytime by pressing the
“CANCEL” button. If toasting additional food, always allow a few seconds
between toasting for toast rack to close.
8. When toasting is complete, always unplug the cord from the wall outlet. Do not
leave a toaster constantly plugged in.
• A small amount of smoke and/or odor may occur upon heating due to the
release of manufacturing oils – this is normal.
• Some minor expansion/contraction sounds may occur during heating and
cooling – this is normal.
HELPFUL HINTS
• This toaster is designed to cook hotter and faster than most toasters. We recommend
toasting at a low setting and adjusting from there based on your preference.
• Toasting can be stopped any time by pressing the “CANCEL” button.
• Use the bread setting when toasting bread, English muffins, waffles, toaster
pastries, etc., to toast on both sides.
• Frozen foods may require a darker setting.
• While it is not recommended, if you do toast foods with frosting or icing, place the
food into the toaster with the frosting side to the front. Toast at the lowest setting
with constant attention.
• Do not cook, warm, or toast fried foods, rice cakes, or non-bread items in the
toaster. Do not heat any foods that have been spread with butter, jelly, frosting,
syrup, or other spread.
• Do not cut on serving tray, as damage to tray will occur.
• Unplug the toaster immediately if fire or smoke is observed.
• If food becomes lodged inside the toaster, unplug the cord from the wall outlet and
allow the toaster to cool completely. Turn the toaster upside down and shake to
dislodge.
• Never insert a metal fork or any other metal objects into the toasting slot.
• Please note that many variables factor into making toast; moisture content of the
bread, thickness, sugars and starches, and grains can all affect the browning of
the bread when making toast.
• Wheat and whole grain breads tend to require longer toasting times.
• When toasting, you may notice variations in toast color from side to side or top to
bottom. This is normal, especially when toasting one slice of bread.
