IMPORTANT SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when
children are present, basic safety precautions should

Any hair dryer is electrically
live even when the switch is off. To reduce the risk of
death or injury by electric shock:
1. ALWAYS UNPLUG IT IMMEDIATELY AFTER USING.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or
be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or other liquids.
5. If an appliance falls into water, unplug it
immediately. Do not reach into the water.

1. This appliance should never be left unattended
when plugged in.
2. This appliance should not be used by, on, or near
children or individuals with certain disabilities.
3. Use this appliance only for its intended use as
described in this manual. Do not use attachments

damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, or if it has been dropped into water.
Return the appliance to a Conair Service Center
for examination and repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not
pull, twist, or wrap line cord around dryer, even
during storage.
6. Never block the air openings of the appliance or
place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch,
where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the
air openings free of lint, hair, and the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any opening
or hose.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol
(spray) products are being used or where oxygen is
being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to operate dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other heat-
sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during use. Allow them
to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface while it
is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair out of it.
Keep your hair away from the air inlets.
15. Do not use with a voltage converter.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use only. Use
on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only. Standard dryers
are designed to operate at 110 to 125 volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit
fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse
with other electrical products or appliances may
trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15 amp
fuse. NEVER replace the fuse with one rated
higher than the capacity of the circuit. Doing
so could result in an electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY
TIME YOU USE APPLIANCE
This hair dryer is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety feature
that renders it inoperable under some abnormal
conditions, such as immersion in water. To make
sure the ALCI is functioning properly, perform the
following test. The purpose of this test is to allow
you to make sure the water sensing system (ALCI)
is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button on plug.
2. The appliance will stop working. There will be an
audible click and the reset button will pop out. This
indicates that the ALCI is functioning properly.
3. To reset ALCI, unit should be unplugged. Then
push reset button in and reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this unit
be brought to a service center. Do not try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the unit
to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset button
pop up during use, this could indicate a malfunction
in the unit. Remove plug from outlet and allow the
appliance to cool. Reinsert plug into outlet.
The appliance should then function normally. If not,
return to an authorized Conair Service Center for
evaluation and repair.
TO TURN DRYER ON AND OFF
Push the power button on the handle (see Fig. 1).
USING THE CONTROL PANEL
To adjust the heat setting, press down on the right
button (see Fig. 2) for hotter temperature or on the
left button for lower temperature until you reach the
desired heat setting. The LCD screen (see Fig. 3)
will display the exact temperature in Fahrenheit and
glow red when hot and blue when cold.
To adjust the air speed setting, press down on the top
button (see Fig. 4) for faster airflow or on the lower
button for slower airflow until you reach your desired
air speed. The LCD screen will display the speed using
the bar symbols on the right-hand side next to the fan
symbol. The more bar symbols, the faster the speed.
To turn on the cold shot, press the middle button
(see Fig.5). The LCD screen will turn blue.
For enhanced shine and less frizz, turn on the ion
generator by pressing down the middle button
for 2.5 seconds. The
symbol (see Fig. 6) will
appear indicating the ionizing function is on. To
build volume, turn off the ion generator by pressing
down on the middle button until the
symbol
disappears.
The unit remembers the last setting used when
turned off. It will start at that setting the next time
it’s turned on.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s well
maintained. Always treat hair right with superior quality
shampoos, conditioners, and finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products of
your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel-dry hair to
remove excess moisture. Using the dryer along
with your styling brush, start at a lower setting
and direct hot air through a section of hair at a
time. Move dryer steadily across each section so
that the hot air passes through hair. Direct airflow
at hair, not scalp. Clouds of negatively charged
ions will help to reduce static electricity, control
frizzy flyaways and contribute to your hair’s shine.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed and
free from hair while drying.
3. To avoid overdrying, do not concentrate heat on
any one section for an extended length of time.
Keep dryer moving as you style. For pinpoint
airflow, use the snap-on concentrator attachment.
4. For quick touch-ups between shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of water before styling
with the dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls and waves,
dry hair almost completely on a warmer temperature
setting with the snap-on diffuser attachment, then
finish styling with cold shot feature to quickly close
hair shaft and lock in style.
BODY & VOLUME
To create extra volume, turn
head upside down while drying.
Position the airflow toward the
roots for maximum lift. When
hair is dry, toss head back and
brush hair into place.
STRAIGHTENING
Work with hair in sections when
creating a super-straight look.
Using a large round brush
(approximately 2" diameter),
hold hair taut in each section
and bend ends slightly under
as you dry.
MAKING WAVES
Tousled, natural-looking waves
are easily created by grasping
hair at the roots and scrunching
between fingertips while drying.

DE OPERACIÓN
Para uso doméstico solamente. Utilícelo solamente con
corriente alterna (60 Hz). Este aparato ha sido diseñado
para funcionar con corriente de 110–125V AC.
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una clavija
polarizada (una pata es más ancha que otra). Como
medida de seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola
manera en la toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entrara
en la toma de corriente, inviértala. Si aún no entrara
completamente, comuníquese con un electricista. No
intente ir en contra de esta función de seguridad.
IMPORTANTE
GUÍA DE OPERACIÓN PARA LOS

El usar este aparato sobre el mismo circuito o
con el mismo fusible que otros aparatos podría
activar el disyuntor/interruptor de circuito de 15

PRUEBE EL INTERRUPTOR DE CONTROL DE
POTENCIA ANTES DE CADA USO
Este aparato está dotado de un interruptor de control
de potencia (ALCI por sus siglas en inglés) que apaga
el aparato inmediatamente si éste cae al agua. Haga
la prueba siguiente antes de cada uso para asegurarse
de que el interruptor de control de potencia y el
sistema de detección de agua funcionen debidamente:
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de prueba
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar. Se oirá un clic
y el botón de reinicio saltará; esto significa
que el interruptor de control de potencia está
funcionando debidamente.
3. Para reajustar el interruptor de control de
potencia, desconecte el aparato, oprima el botón
de reinicio y vuelva a conectar el cable.
4. Si el interruptor de control de potencia no
funcionara correctamente, regrese el aparato
a un centro de servicio autorizado.
5. Si el aparato cayera al agua, es muy importante
que lo regrese a nuestro centro de servicio; no
intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el interruptor de control de potencia antes
de cada uso para asegurarse de que esté operativo.
Si el aparato se apagara y el botón de reinicio
saltara durante el uso, esto podría indicar un mal
funcionamiento. Si esto ocurriera, desconecte el
aparato y permita que se enfríe. Conecte el cable a la
toma de corriente.
El aparato debería funcionar normalmente. Si no
fuera el caso, regréselo a un centro de servicio
autorizado para su revisión y reparación.
ENCENDIDO/APAGADO
Para encender/apagar el aparato, presione el botón de
encendido/apagado (Fig. 1) ubicado sobre el mango.
PANEL DE CONTROL
Para aumentar la temperatura, presione repetidamente
el botón de la derecha; para bajarla, presione
repetidamente el botón de la izquierda (Fig. 2).
La pantalla LCD (Fig. 3) mostrará la temperatura
exacta (en grados Fahrenheit); se pondrá roja cuando
la temperatura está alta, o azul cuando está baja.
Para aumentar la velocidad del aire, presione
repetidamente el botón de arriba; para bajarla,
presione repetidamente el botón de abajo (Fig. 4).
La pantalla LCD mostrará la velocidad, mediante
las barras a la derecha del ventilador (cuantas más
barras, más alta la velocidad).
Para encender el aire frío, presione el botón del
centro (Fig. 5); la pantalla LCD se pondrá azul.
Para encender el generador de iones y conseguir más
brillo y menos frizz, mantenga el botón del centro
oprimido hasta que el símbolo
(Fig. 6) aparezca
en la pantalla. Para apagar el generador de iones y
conseguir más volumen, mantenga el botón del centro
oprimido hasta que el símbolo
desaparezca.
El aparato guardará en memoria los ajustes elegidos
y se ajustará automáticamente a estos ajustes la
próxima vez que lo use.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER PEINADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un corte de cabello
bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su cabello con
champúes, acondicionadores y productos de peinado
de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO
1. Lave y acondicione su cabello con los productos
deseados. Enjuague bien. Séquelo con una toalla
para eliminar el exceso de agua. Seque el cabello
usando simultáneamente el secador y un cepillo.
Coloque el cepillo debajo de cada sección de
cabello y dirija el flujo de aire tibio/caliente hacia
la parte superior del cabello. Mueva el secador
lenta y simultáneamente hasta las puntas. Dirija
el flujo de aire hacia el cabello, no hacia el cuero
cabelludo. El aparato genera iones negativos que
ayudan a reducir la estática y a controlar el frizz
mientras agregan brillo.
2. Mantenga las entradas de aire del aparato sin
obstrucciones y libres de cabello.
3. Para no lastimar el cabello, no concentre el flujo
de aire en una sección solamente; mueva el
secador constantemente. Para más precisión,
utilice el concentrador de aire.
4. Para realizar retoques rápidos entre lavados, rocíe
un poco de agua sobre el cabello antes de secarlo.
5. Cuando usa el secador para crear rizos y ondas,
seque el cabello casi por completo usando el
difusor de aire con aire tibio,
y luego fije el
peinado usando aire frío.
CUERPO & VOLUMEN
Para dar más volumen al
cabello, incline la cabeza hacia
delante durante el secado. Dirija
el flujo de aire hacia la raíz para
obtener más cuerpo. Cuando el
cabello esté seco, péinese en la
forma deseada.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the dryer must be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the
brush attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The
outer surface of the dryer should be wiped
clean with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage or
personal injury. If the unit or the heat turns off,
unplug the cord and allow the dryer to cool for
10 to 15 minutes before restarting. Make sure
the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
dryer, causing it to rupture and short circuit.
Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop
use immediately if damage is visible or unit
stops or operates intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not
operate properly, return it for repair to an
authorized Conair service representative
only. No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
STORAGE – Important
When not in use, your dryer should be
disconnected, allowed to cool and stored in a
safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do
not wrap line cord around dryer. Allow the cord
to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of
entry into the dryer.
LIMITED FOUR-YEAR WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 48 months from the
date of purchase if the appliance is defective in
workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the service center
listed on back, together with your purchase
receipt and $7.00 for postage and handling.
California residents need only provide proof
of purchase and should call 1-800-3-CONAIR
for shipping instructions. In the absence of a
purchase receipt, the warranty period shall be
48 months from the date of manufacture.

INSTRUCCIONES DE
MANTENIMIENTO
Su secador requiere poco mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Para que funcione
correctamente, debe mantenerlo limpio.
Cuando sea necesario limpiarlo, desconéctelo,
permita que se enfríe y quite el polvo y las
pelusas de las aberturas de aire con un
cepillo pequeño o el cepillo accesorio de una
aspiradora. La superficie exterior del secador
sólo se debe limpiar con un paño limpio.
El secador se recalentará si las aberturas
de aire están bloqueadas u obstruidas.
Si esto ocurriera, un sistema de seguridad
apagará el secador o cortará la temperatura
