Instalación de la tarjeta SIM
Cuando se suscribe a una red celular, se le suministra una tarjeta SIM que se inserta en el
teléfono y que tiene cargados los detalles de suscripción, por ejemplo, el PIN, servicios
opcionales disponibles y muchos otros detalles.

La tarjeta SIM que se inserta en el teléfono y sus contactos pueden dañarse
con facilidad si la tarjeta se raya o se dobla. Debe ser cuidadoso al manipularla,
insertarla o extraerla. Mantenga todas las tarjetas SIM fuera del alcance de niños.

Contestar y rechazar una
llamada
Cuando el teléfono suene y el icono del
teléfono parpadee en la pantalla, pulse la

Si se ha activado la opción del menú
Cualquier tecla (Menú 9.4.2.1), podrá
responder a la llamada pulsando cualquier
tecla, excepto la tecla Tecla Encender/
Apagar/Finalizar o la tecla de función
derecha.
Cambiar la conguración de
llamada
Puede establecer el menú pertinente a una
llamada. Presione Menú > Conguración
> Seguridad.
• Restricción de llamada: seleccione
SUGERENCIA: Puede cambiar
la conguración del teléfono para
responder a las llamadas de diferentes
formas. Presione Menú > Conguración
> Llamadas > Modo de respuesta >
Cualquier tecla o Sólo tecla “Enviar”.

esta opción cuando desee restringir las
llamadas.
• Marcación ja: elija una lista de números
a los que puede llamar desde el teléfono.
Necesitará el código PIN2 de su operador.
Sólo puede llamar desde el teléfono a los
números que estén incluidos en la lista de
marcación ja.
Ingreso de texto
Puede ingresar caracteres alfanuméricos
utilizando el teclado del teléfono. Por
ejemplo, para guardar nombres en
Contactos, escribir un mensaje o planicar
eventos en el calendario es necesario
ingresar texto. Los siguientes métodos de
entrada de texto se encuentran disponibles
en el teléfono: modo predictivo T9, modo
manual ABC y modo 123.
Nota: es posible que algunos campos
permitan sólo un modo de entrada de
texto (por ejemplo, un número de teléfono
en los campos de la agenda).
Modo predictivo T9:
Este modo
le permite ingresar palabras con sólo
un tecleo por cada letra. Cada tecla del
teclado tiene más de una letra. El modo
T9 compara automáticamente sus tecleos
con un diccionario linguístico interno para
determinar la palabra correcta, lo que
demanda menos tecleos que el modo ABC
tradicional.
Modo Abc:
Este modo le permite
ingresar letras presionando la tecla
marcada con la letra correspondiente una,
dos, tres o más veces hasta que aparezca
la letra.
Modo 123:
Ingrese números utilizando
una pulsación por número.
Innovaciones
Linterna
Use la linterna tocando ligeramente la
tecla de navegación
. Para apagarla
toque cualquier otra tecla del teclado
numeral. Para tenerla encendida de manera
constante, presione
por algunos
segundos. Haga lo mismo para apagarla.
Bandeja de Chat
Usted puede recibir y enviar mensajes en
solamente una pantalla accediendo a las
opciones
Menú > Mensajes > Bandeja de

Chat > Nuevo chat > elija el contacto > Chat
> escriba el mensaje >
Opciones > Enviar.
Nota: al utilizar la opción de chat no
cambie de pantalla, de lo contrario el
mensaje recibido se enviará al Bz. entrada.
Mensaje SOS
Usted puede crear su propio mensaje para
enviarlo a tres determinados números
en una situación de emergencia sólo
manteniendo presionada la tecla 9 por dos
segundos. Una vez ingresados los números
y el texto, no podrán ser modicados.
Llamada falsa
Usted puede programar una llamada con
nombre y teléfono para que le llame en un
determinado tiempo. Para encender esta
función toque
Menú > Herramientas >
Llamada falsa > elija Encendido > elija la
hora, remitente y el teléfono > Opciones
> Guardar
.
Nota: mientras esté en una llamada
falsa, se desactivarán temporalmente
los servicios de red, éstos se activarán
nuevamente al terminar la llamada falsa.
Mensajes
Enviar un mensaje
Puede escribir y editar mensajes de texto.

Presione Menú > Mensajes > Nuevo
mensaje.

Ingrese el mensaje con el modo
predictivo T9 o con el modo manual Abc.

Seleccione Opciones > Insertar y podrá
insertar: Símbolos, Plantilla, Contacto y
Tarjeta de visita.

Presione OK y, a continuación, inserte lo
que desee al mensaje.

Presione Opciones > Enviar a > Inserte
el teléfono > Opciones > Enviar.
Modo de ingreso de texto
Puede ingresar caracteres alfanuméricos

Conguración de los Mensajes
de texto
Elija Menú > Mensajes > Config. mensajes
> Mensaje de texto, y tendrá acceso a las
siguientes opciones:
N° centro mensajes: especifique los detalles
del número de su centro de mensajes.
Informe de entrega: reciba confirmación de
que el mensaje se ha entregado.
Período de validez: elija el tiempo que el
mensaje permanecerá almacenado en el
centro de mensajes.
Responder mediante el mismo centro
de servicios: le permite que se cargue el
mensaje por el mismo centro de servicio.
Tipo de mensaje: puede cambiar el tipo
de mensaje a Texto, Voz, Fax, Localizador,
X.400 o ERMES. Normalmente, el tipo de
mensaje está establecido en Texto. Puede
convertir el texto a otros formatos.
Guardar mensaje enviado: permite elegir
si los mensajes de texto se deben guardar
al enviarse.
Cambiar otros ajustes
Presione Menú > Mensajes > Config.
mensajes y, a continuación:
Núm. correo voz: póngase en contacto
es necesario pulsar la tecla de número
asociada a la letra que desee ingresar y el
diccionario identificará la palabra una vez
ingresadas todas las letras.
Nota: algunos campos sólo permiten
un modo de entrada de texto (por
ejemplo, un número de teléfono en los
campos de la agenda).
Modo Abc manual
Este modo le permite ingresar letras al
pulsar una, dos, tres o más veces la tecla
etiquetada con la letra deseada, hasta que
aparezca la letra.
Modo 123
Ingrese números utilizando una pulsación
por número. También puede agregar
números cuando está en los modos de
letras si mantiene presionada la tecla con
el número deseado.
Opciones del menú mensajes
Presione Menú > Mensajes y tendrá acceso
a las siguientes opciones:
Nuevo mensaje: permite crear un nuevo
mensaje.
Bz. entrada: todos los mensajes que reciba
se colocan en esta carpeta.
Borradores: si no tiene tiempo para
terminar de escribir un mensaje, puede
guardar lo que lleva hecho hasta ese
momento.
Bandeja de Chat:
Este menú almacena los
mensajes recibidos y enviados en una
sóla pantalla, creando un chat de SMS
.
Bz. salida: es una carpeta de
almacenamiento temporal mientras los
mensajes se envían.
Enviados: todos los mensajes que envíe se
colocarán en esta carpeta.
Escuchar Buzón de voz:
este menú le
permite acceder rápidamente a su Bz.
voz (si existe en la red).
Mensajes informativos: le permite ver
los mensajes informativos que le envía su
proveedor de servicio.
Plantillas: En la lista hay mensajes
predefinidos. Puede ver y editar los
mensajes de plantilla o crear mensajes
nuevos.
Config. mensajes: permite modificar las
configuraciones de mensaje de texto,
número de correo de voz y mensaje de
información.

> Mensaje de texto, y tendrá acceso a las
siguientes opciones:

Contactos
Buscar un contacto

Seleccione Menú > Contactos > Buscar.

Agregar un contacto nuevo

En la pantalla principal, ingrese el
teléfono del contacto.

Elija Opciones y luego Guardar como
nuevo contacto.
Marcación rápida
Presione Menú > Contactos > Marcación
rápida. Puede asignar un número de
marcación rápida a un contacto al que
llame con frecuencia.
Radio FM
El LG GS155a tiene una función de
radio FM que puede sintonizar sus
emisoras favoritas y escucharlas.
Nota: Si usted se encuentra en un área
con mala recepción, podrá experimentar
dificultades para escuchar la radio. Le
recomendamos insertar los audífonos
así como extender bien el cable para
mantener una buena recepción de radio.
Escuchar la radio
Seleccione Menú > Radio FM y seleccione
el número del canal de la emisora que
desea escuchar.
Opciones de la radio
•
Editar canal:
puede escuchar una
emisora de radio seleccionándola
manualmente, presione las teclas de
navegación hacia la derecha o izquierda
hasta que encuentre la emisora que
desee y toque OK.
•
Auto buscar:
si selecciona esta opción su
teléfono empezará a hacer una búsqueda
automática de canales de radio, confirme
la acción seleccionando Sí.
Para escuchar una de las estaciones
de radio almacenadas, seleccione los
canales con las teclas de navegación.
•
Restablecer canales:
restablece todos
los valores agregados a los canales a las
definiciones de fábrica.
•
Escuchar por auriculares/altavoz: puede
escuchar la radio por el altavoz integrado
o por auriculares.
Nota: el teléfono GS155a admite
FM inalámbrica, pero para mejorar
la calidad de la radio FM, inserte los
auriculares.
Perles
Puede ajustar y personalizar los tonos

del teléfono para diferentes eventos,
ambientes o grupos de usuarios.
Personalizar sus perfiles
Es posible cambiar rápidamente al perfil
Sólo vibración en la pantalla principal,
manteniendo presionada la tecla
.
Si utiliza el menú principal, puede
personalizar cada perfil.

Presione Menú > Perfiles .

Elija el perfil que desea editar y presione
OK > Personalizar.

Puede cambiar los sonidos y las
opciones de alerta disponibles en la
lista, como la configuración de Timbres,
Alerta de SMS, Tipo de alerta de
llamada y más.
Nota: Los perfiles Silencio y Sólo
vibración no se pueden configurar.
Modo avión
Al activar esta función se le permite usar
sólo las funciones del teléfono que no
requieren del uso de la red inalámbrica
como cuando esté en un avión o en
lugares en los que no se puede utilizar la
red inalámbrica.

y con el teclado, ingrese la primera
letra del contacto al que desea llamar.
Por ejemplo, para Oficina, presione 6
tres veces para seleccionar el primer
carácter, “O”.

Perles
Puede ajustar y personalizar los tonos

sonando con sólo elegir Silencio. Esto
es útil si olvidó cambiar el perfil para
Silencioso durante una reunión.
Presione
o seleccione Rechazar para
rechazar la llamada entrante.
Ver el historial de llamadas
Presione Menú > Reg. de Llamadas y
podrá ver la duración de llamadas y los
últimos registros de llamadas perdidas,
recibidas y realizadas (sólo si la red admite
la identificación de línea de llamada).
Cambiar los ajustes de llamada
Puede establecer el menú pertinente a una
llamada. Presione Menú > Configuración
> Llamadas y acceda a las siguientes
opciones:
• Desvío de llamadas: permite elegir si
desea desviar las llamadas.
• Modo de respuesta: elija si desea
contestar la llamada con cualquier tecla o
sólo con la tecla Enviar.
• Enviar número propio: permite elegir si
desea mostrar su número cuando llame a
alguien. (Depende del proveedor de red).
• Llamada en espera: permite activar o
desactivar la función para recibir llamadas
en espera. (Depende del proveedor
de red).
• Aviso minuto: permite escuchar un tono
a cada minuto, durante una llamada.
• Remarcado automático: si selecciona
Encender su teléfono remarcará
automáticamente el número que ha
intentado llamar y que no ha tenido éxito.
• Enviar DTMF: si selecciona Encender su
teléfono permitirá el uso de comandos
numéricos para navegar por los menús
durante llamadas automatizadas, como
un servicio de banco. DTMF está activado
de manera predeterminada.
Herramientas
Puede acceder al menú pertinente a su
organizador personal. Presione Menú >
Herramientas y luego podrá acceder a las
opciones abajo:
Linterna
:
puede usar su teléfono como
una linterna.
Llamada falsa: puede programar una
llamada ficticia después de establecer
la hora.
Calculadora: la calculadora contiene las
funciones estándar: +, –, x, / (suma, resta,
multiplicación y división).
Cronómetro: el cronómetro funciona

como cualquier cronómetro convencional.
Conversor de unidad: permite
realizar conversiones en las siguientes
unidades: Moneda, Área, Longitud, Peso,
Temperatura, Volumen y Velocidad.
Reloj mundial: permite determinar el
tiempo actual en otra zona horaria u
otro país.
Multimedia
• Cámara: esta opción le permite acceder a
la cámara integrada de su teléfono.
• Reproductor MP3: su teléfono cuenta
con un reproductor de MP3 integrado,
con el que podrá reproducir su música
favorita.
Mis cosas
• Imágenes: contiene imágenes
predeterminada, imágenes que fueron
tomadas por la cámara del teléfono y las
imágenes de la memoria externa.
• Sonidos: contiene sonidos
predeterminados y los archivos de sonido
que posee en su teléfono y tarjeta de
memoria.
• Otros: puede acceder a otros archivos
que no estén guardados en las carpetas
Imágenes y Sonidos.
Agenda
• Alarma: le permite establecer una alarma
en el teléfono para que suene a una hora
determinada.
• Calendario: puede consultar fechas y
establecer planes en su calendario
.
Conguración
Cambie la configuración de su teléfono
y disfrute de la libertad de adaptar su
GS155a para que funcione a su gusto.
Presione
Menú > Configuración.
Seleccione una de las siguientes opciones:
Fecha y hora: configure la fecha y la
hora. También podrá elegir actualización
automática de fecha y hora u horario de
verano.
Idioma: cambie el idioma de la pantalla
su GS155a.
Pantalla: permite cambiar el fondo de

When your phone rings, press Accept

phone. You’ll need your PIN2 code from
your operator. Only numbers included in
the xed dial list can be called from your
phone when this option is enabled.
Entering text
You can enter alphanumeric characters
using the phone’s keypad. For example,
storing names in Contacts, writing a
message and creating schedule events in
the calendar, all require entering text. The
following text input methods are available
in the phone: T9 predictive mode, ABC
manual mode and 123 mode.
Note: Some elds may allow only
one text input mode (e.g. telephone
number in address book elds).
T9 predictive mode
T9 predictive mode uses a built-in
dictionary to recognize words you’re
writing based on the key sequences
you press. Simply press the number key
associated with the letter you want to
enter, and the dictionary will recognize the
word once all the letters are entered. You
can use the
key to check possible
words matching the keys you pressed.
ABC manual mode
This mode allows you to enter letters by
pressing the key labeled with the required
letter once, twice, three or four times until
the letter is displayed.
123 mode
Type numbers using one keystroke per
number. You can also add numbers while
remain in letter modes by pressing and
holding the desired key.

2 A new message editor will open.
3 Enter your message using either the T9
predictive mode or Abc manual mode.
You can switch text input mode by

5 Press Options > Send to.
6 Enter the phone number or press
Options > Contacts or Recent list to
open one of these lists. You can add

Message folders
Press Menu > Messaging. The folder
structure used on your GS155a is fairly
self-explanatory.
New message: allows you to create new
messages.
Inbox: all the messages you receive are
placed in your Inbox.

Drafts: if you don’t have time to finish
writing a message, you can save what
you have done so far here.
Chat box: this menu stores messages
sent and received on a single screen,
creating an SMS chat.
Outbox: this is a temporary storage
folder while messages are being sent.
It also stores any messages that have
failed to send.
Sent: all the messages you send are
placed in your Sent folder.
Listen voice mail: this menu allows you
to quickly access your voice mailbox (if it
exists on the network).
Info messages: you can see the
information messages sent by your
service provider.
Templates: there is a list of pre-defined
messages. You can view and edit the
template messages or create new
messages.
Setting: allows you to modify the text
message settings, the number of the
voice mail and the message information.
Changing your text message
settings
Your telephone message settings
are pre-defined so that you can send
messages immediately.
If you would like to change the settings,
you can do this using the
Setting
options
.

Text message. You can make changes to:
Message centre number: enter the
details for your message center.
Delivery report: choose to receive
confirmation that your message was

Validity period
- Choose how long your

can assign a speed dial number to a contact
you call frequently.
FM radio
The LG GS155a has FM radio and you can
tune and listen to your favorite stations.
When the phone can’t nd a FM channel or
tune into a radio station, use the ear-mic.
Note: You will need to insert your
headset in order to listen to the FM
Radio more clear. Insert the plug into
the headset socket (this is the same
socket that you plug your charger into).

Listening to the radio
1 Press Menu > FM radio.
2 Select the channel number of the
station you would like to listen to.
Note: You can listen to the radio via
built-in speaker. Press Options, select
Listen via speaker.
GS155a supports wireless FM. User does
not require to insert ear-mic to listen FM
in normal condition. In weak FM radio
signal area the sensitivity can degrade
with wireless and antenna mode. So it is
advisable to insert the ear-mic for better
and enhanced FM quality.
Radio options

Edit channel: you can hear a selected
radio station manually. Press the left or
right navigation keys until you nd the
station you want and tap OK.

Auto scan: If you select this option, your
phone starts to search for radio stations
automatically. Conrm the action by
selecting Yes.
To listen to a stored radio station, select
the channel with the navigation keys.

Reset channels: resets all values added
to the channels to the default settings.
•
Listen via wired headset/speaker: allows
you to listen to the radio through the
built-in loudspeaker or headphones.
Proles
You can select one of the different profiles
your phone offers you and customize some
of them.

Changing call settings

forward the calls.
• Answer mode: choose to answer the call
with any key or just the send key.
• Send my number: choose whether
to display your number when you

• Minute minder: allows the user to hear a
tone every minute during a call.

• Anti Theft Mobile Tracker: when the SIM
card is changed, a SMS will be sent to the
numbers set by you.
You must congure the ATMT with the
name, phone number, primary and
secondary number. You must activate
ATMT. The default code is “0000.” The
ATMT SMS containing the IMEI of the
ATMT SMS will contain information about
the stolen phone IMEI, current location
(captured as per Cell Broadcast message)
& number of the person who is using
that handset.

Reset settings: use to reset all the settings
to their factory denitions. You need the
security code to activate this function. The
default number is “0000”.
Memory status: You can check free space
and memory usage of phone, SIM card and
external memory (if inserted).

original accessories) against production defects and labor as follows:
1. LABOR: If this product is found to be faulty within a period of one (1) year from the date the
consumer purchased the new product, LGEPS shall bear the costs for repair at the Authorized
Service Centers designated for these purposes in each country. Once the warranty period has
expired, LGEPS shall no longer be liable for labor costs.
2. PARTS: If this product is found to be faulty within a period of one (1) year from the date the
consumer purchased the new product, LGEPS shall bear the cost of new parts purchased at the
Authorized Service Centers designated for these purposes in each country. Once the warranty
period has expired, LGEPS shall no longer be liable for the cost of parts.
3. BATTERIES AND ACCESSORIES: If this product is found to be faulty within a period of six (6)
months from the date the consumer purchased the new product, LGEPS shall bear the cost of
new parts purchased at the Authorized Service Centers designated for these purposes in each

batteries and accessories.
Exclusions from the Warranty. This Warranty does not provide cover for the following situations:

f. The use of non-original accessories.
g. Damage caused to telephones that have been submitted for repair work and upgrades, or
that have been opened for the installation of accessories, carried out by personnel other than
those at the service centers authorized by LGEPS.
h. Modifications to voltage conversion or frequency of the equipment.
i. Damage caused by connections to inappropriate voltages.
j. Damage caused by the SIM card. The Warranty does not cover any incidental damage such
as loss
of profits and/or loss of opportunity due to the loss of information contained on the user’s SIM
card.

o. When the battery has been charged using a charger that was not manufactured by LG
Electronics Inc. or its subsidiaries.
p. When the battery has been used in equipment other than that for which it was intended.
q. When the equipment label is illegible, missing, or has been altered.
Replacement products: Those products delivered as a replacement for a faulty product shall
come with a one-year (1-year) warranty, valid from the date the first product was purchased,
except in those countries and states where the law forbids it.
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT, AS SET OUT IN THIS CERTIFICATE, IS THE ONLY
COMPENSATION THAT THE CONSUMER SHALL RECEIVE. LGEPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE DUE TO NON-COMPLIANCE WITH THIS WARRANTY.
EXCEPT IN CASES WHERE IT IS EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED BY THE LAW IN THE COUNTRY WHERE
THE PRODUCT WAS PURCHASED, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS PRODUCT SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE TERM
OF THIS WARRANTY.
This Warranty shall be valid in the country the product was purchased. You may have other
rights depending on the country in which the product was purchased. This Warranty is not
valid internationally. You may not make a claim in a country other than the country the
product was purchased. Some countries and states do not permit the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damage or permit some limitation with regard to the duration of
the implied warranty.
As such, the limitations and exclusions set out above may not apply.
To validate the Warranty, you must present the purchase invoice or receipt of payment and this
warranty certificate.
