L’uso conforme del prodotto è unicamente quello riportato nel

presente libretto di istruzioni.

Ogni utilizzo difforme dalle presenti avvertenze invaliderà la

garanzia.

SIMBOLI DI SICUREZZA:

Se indicato sul prodotto non toccare le parti in quanto

calde.

Pericolo di scottatura!

Questo apparecchio raggiunge temperature elevate. Se utiliz-

zato in modo scorretto potrebbe provocare scottature.

• Non effettuare mai operazioni di smontaggio e manutenzione

se non limitatamente a quelle riportate nelle presenti avver-

tenze. In caso di guasto o malfunzionamento non effettuare

operazioni di riparazione autonomamente. Se si effettuano

operazioni errate e non consentite si corre il rischio di inci-

denti. Contattare sempre i Centri di Assistenza Tecnica auto-

rizzati.

• Il ferro non deve essere utilizzato se è stato fatto cadere o se

vi sono segni di danni visibili o se perde acqua.

• La spina deve essere rimossa dalla presa di corrente prima

che il serbatoio / caldaia sia riempito.

• L’imboccatura del serbatoio / caldaia non deve essere aperta

durante l’uso.

• Il prodotto durante l’uso è in pressione. Non rimuovere il

tappo dalla caldaia se è accesa.

• Per effettuare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione o pulizia

con accesso alla caldaia assicurarsi di aver spento l’apparec-

chio attraverso l’apposito interruttore e di averlo scollegato

dalla rete elettrica da almeno 2 ore.

• L’apparecchio non deve rimanere incustodito se collegato

alla rete elettrica.

• Il ferro deve essere usato e riposto su una superficie stabile.

• Nel riporre il ferro sul suo supporto, assicurarsi che la superfi-

cie su cui è posizionato il supporto sia stabile.

• Il ferro deve essere utilizzato con il tappetino poggiaferro

(fisso o amovibile) in dotazione.

• L’apparecchio può essere utilizzato da bambini di età non in-

feriore a 8 anni e da persone con ridotte capacità fisiche, sen-

soriali o mentali, o prive di esperienza o della necessaria co-

noscenza, purchè sotto sorveglianza oppure dopo che le

stesse abbiano ricevuto istruzioni relative all’uso sicuro del-

l’apparecchio e alla compressione dei pericoli ad esso ine-

renti. I bambini non devono giocare con l’apparecchio. La pu-

lizia e la manutenzione destinata ad essere effettuata

dall’utilizzatore non deve essere effettuata da bambini senza

sorveglianza.

• Tenere l’apparecchio e il cavo di alimentazione lontano dalla

portata di minori di 8 anni quando l’apparecchio è acceso o in

fase di raffreddamento.

• Tenere tutti i componenti dell’imballo lontano dalla portata

dei bambini, non sono un giocattolo. Tenere il sacchetto di

plastica lontano dalla portata dei bambini: pericolo di soffo-

camento.

• Questo apparecchio è destinato per il solo ed esclusivo uso

domestico interno.

Per ridurre il rischio di incidenti quali incendi, elettrocuzione,

infortuni, scottature sia durante l’uso che durante le opera-

zioni di preparazione, manutenzione e rimessaggio attenersi

sempre alle precauzioni fondamentali elencate nel presente

manuale.

RISCHI CONNESSI ALL’ALIMENTAZIONE ELETTRICA - ELET-

TROCUZIONE

• L’impianto di terra e l’interruttore differenziale ad alta sensi-

bilità “Salvavita”, completo di protezione magnetotermica del

vostro impianto domestico, sono garanzia di sicurezza nel-

l’uso degli apparecchi elettrici.

Per la vostra sicurezza controllare quindi che l’impianto elet-

trico a cui è collegato l’apparecchio sia realizzato in confor-

mità alle leggi vigenti.

• Non collegare l’apparecchio alla rete elettrica se la tensione

(voltaggio) non corrisponde a quella del circuito elettrico do-

mestico in uso.

• Non sovraccaricare prese di corrente con spine doppie e/o ri-

duttori. Collegare unicamente il prodotto a singole prese di

corrente compatibili con la spina in dotazione.

• Prolunghe elettriche non opportunamente dimensionate e non a

norma di legge sono potenzialmente causa di surriscaldamento

con possibili conseguenze di corto circuito, incendio, interru-

zione di energia e danneggiamento dell’impianto. Utilizzare

esclusivamente prolunghe certificate e opportunamente dimen-

sionate che supportino 16A e con impianto di messa a terra.

• Spegnere sempre l’apparecchio prima di scollegarlo dalla

rete elettrica.

• Per scollegare la spina dalla presa della corrente non tirare

dal cavo di alimentazione, ma estrarre impugnando la spina

per evitare danni alla presa e al cavo.

• Scollegare sempre la spina dalla presa di corrente nel caso

l’apparecchio non sia in funzione e prima di qualsiasi opera-

zione di preparazione, manutenzione e pulizia.

• Svolgere completamente il cavo e il tubo vapore prima di col-

legarlo alla rete elettrica e prima dell’uso. Utilizzare il pro-

dotto sempre con il cavo e il tubo vapore completamente

svolti.

• Non tirare o strattonare il cavo e il tubo vapore, né sottoporli a

tensioni (torsioni, schiacciature, stirature). Tenere il cavo e il

tubo vapore lontani da superfici e parti calde e/o affilate. Evi-

tare che il cavo e il tubo vapore vengano a contatto con la pia-

stra del ferro calda. Evitare che il cavo e il tubo vapore vengano

schiacciati da porte, sportelli. Non tendere il cavo e il tubo va-

pore su spigoli tirandoli. Evitare che il cavo e il tubo vapore

vengano calpestati. Non passare sopra al cavo e il tubo vapore.

Non avvolgere il cavo di alimentazione e il tubo vapore intorno

all’apparecchio in particolare se l’apparecchio è caldo.

• Non sostituire la spina del cavo di alimentazione.

• Se il cavo e il tubo vapore sono danneggiati, essi devono essere

sostituiti dal costruttore o dal suo servizio assistenza tecnica o

comunque da una persona con qualifica similare, in modo da

prevenire ogni rischio. Non utilizzare il prodotto con il cavo e il

tubo vapore danneggiati.

• Non toccare né usare l’apparecchio se si è a piedi scalzi e/o

con corpo o piedi bagnati.

• Non utilizzare l’apparecchio vicino a recipienti pieni d’acqua

come ad esempio lavandini, vasche da bagno, piscine.

• Non immergere l’apparecchio compreso cavo e spina in acqua

o altri liquidi.

• Il vapore non deve essere diretto verso apparecchiature con-

tenenti componenti elettrici e/o elettronici.

RISCHI CONNESSI ALL’USO DEL PRODOTTO – LESIONI /

SCOTTATURE

• Il prodotto non va utilizzato in luoghi dove sussiste pericolo

di esplosioni e dove sono presenti sostanze tossiche.

• Non versare nel serbatoio e in caldaia sostanze tossiche,

acidi, solventi, detergenti, sostanze corrosive e/o liquidi

esplosivi, profumi, acqua profumata.

• Versare nel serbatoio e in caldaia esclusivamente l’acqua o la

miscela di acqua indicata nel capitolo “Quale acqua utilizzare

nella caldaia”.

• Non dirigere il getto di vapore e non indirizzare il ferro su so-

stanze tossiche, acidi, solventi, detergenti, sostanze corrosive.

Il trattamento e la rimozione di sostanze pericolose deve av-

venire secondo le indicazioni dei produttori di tali sostanze.

• Non dirigere il getto di vapore e non indirizzare il ferro su pol-

veri e liquidi esplosivi, idrocarburi, oggetti in fiamme e/o incan-

descenti.

• Non dirigere il getto di vapore sul tappetino poggiaferro e/o

sull’apparecchio.

• Non posizionare il prodotto vicino a fonti di calore come ca-

mini, stufe, forni.

• Non ostruire le aperture e le griglie poste sul prodotto.

• Non dirigere il getto di vapore e non indirizzare il ferro su

qualsiasi parte del corpo di persone e animali.

• Non dirigere il getto di vapore e non indirizzare il ferro su

abiti indossati.

• Panni e stracci e tessuti su cui è stata fatta una profonda va-

porizzazione raggiungono temperature molto alte superiori a

100°C. Porre attenzione quando li si maneggia.

• Durante l’uso mantenere il prodotto in posizione orizzontale e

su superfici stabili.

• Stirate solo su sostegni resistenti al calore e che lascino per-

meare il vapore.

• In caso di sostituzione del tappetino poggiaferro utilizzare

solo ricambi originali.

• Non appoggiare il ferro sulla base sprovvista di tappetino pog-

giaferro.

• Non posare l’apparecchio caldo su superfici sensibili al calore.

• Nel caso si stirasse da seduti, prestare cura che il getto di va-

pore non sia diretto verso le proprie gambe. Il vapore po-

trebbe causare delle scottature.

• Accertarsi, prima di collegare l’apparecchio alla corrente, che

il tasto di emissione continua di vapore non sia inserito (se

presente).

• Non lasciare incustodito il ferro con il vapore attivato.

• Attendere il completo raffreddamento del prodotto prima di

riporlo dopo l’uso.

• Utilizzare sempre l’apparecchio con il tappo di sicurezza in

dotazione o un suo ricambio originale. L’uso di tappi non ori-

ginali Polti costituisce rischio di incidenti.

• Per effettuare qualsiasi operazione di accesso alla caldaia in

pressione

(rimozione tappo, riempimento) assicurarsi di aver

spento l’apparecchio attraverso l’apposito interruttore e di

averlo scollegato dalla rete elettrica da almeno 2 ore per farlo

raffreddare. La caldaia accesa e/o calda e in pressione è ri-

schio di possibile incidente.

• Non collegare l’apparecchio con il tappo di sicurezza ri-

mosso. Avvitare accuratamente il tappo di sicurezza prima di

inserire la spina e accendere l’apparecchio.

• Prima di accendere l’apparecchio assicurarsi che nessun og-

getto ostruisca l’imbocco della caldaia (bottiglia di riempimento,

imbuto né altri oggetti) e che il tappo di sicurezza sia chiuso.

• Assicurarsi che il tappo di sicurezza sia avvitato corretta-

mente; se si verificassero fughe di vapore dal tappo, spe-

gnere la caldaia, staccare il cavo alimentazione, attendere 2

ore che l’apparecchio si raffreddi e svitare il tappo. Control-

lare lo stato del tappo di sicurezza e della sua guarnizione. Se

il tappo è integro riavvitarlo completamente. Se continua a

fuoriuscire vapore dal tappo, portare l’apparecchio al più vi-

cino centro di assistenza tecnica.

• Verificare periodicamente lo stato del tappo di sicurezza e

della sua guarnizione. In caso di urto e caduta il tappo po-

trebbe non essere più sicuro. Sostituirlo con ricambi originali

o sostituire la guarnizione.

• Se il tappo gira a vuoto vuol dire che c’è ancora pressione e quindi

temperatura in caldaia. Non forzare mai l’apertura del tappo sia

quando l’apparecchio è in funzione che a caldaia spenta e scolle-

gata dalla rete elettrica. Attendere sempre il raffreddamento della

caldaia per aprire il tappo senza alcuna forzatura.

• Non utilizzare alcun attrezzo per svitare il tappo. Se non fosse

più rimovibile anche ad apparecchio freddo rivolgersi a un

centro di assistenza autorizzato.

• ATTENZIONE Non riempire mai la caldaia appena si apre il

tappo di sicurezza e la caldaia è ancora calda, anche se la

presa di corrente è staccata; l’acqua fredda, a contatto con la

caldaia calda e vuota evapora provocando uno spruzzo di va-

pore che potrebbe causare ustioni a contatto con la pelle;

riempire solo quando la caldaia è fredda e comunque quando

si effettua il riempimento tenere sempre lontano il viso dal-

l’imboccatura della caldaia.

• L’utilizzo di tappi non originali Polti e il mancato rispetto delle

avvertenze e delle istruzioni riportate in questo manuale è da

ritenersi non conforme. Polti S.p.A. declina tutte le responsa-

bilità in caso di incidenti derivanti da un utilizzo non

conforme di questo apparecchio.

USO CORRETTO DEL PRODOTTO

Questo apparecchio è destinato all’uso do-

mestico come ferro da stiro con caldaia sepa-

rata secondo le descrizioni ed istruzioni ripor-

tate in questo manuale. Si prega di leggere

attentamente queste istruzioni e di conser-

varle; in caso di smarrimento è possibile con-

sultare e/o scaricare questo manuale dal sito

web www.polti.com.

POLTI S.p.A. si riserva la facoltà di introdurre

modifiche estetiche, tecniche e costruttive

che riterrà neces sarie, senza obblighi di

preavviso.

Prima di lasciare la fabbrica tutti i nostri pro-

dotti sono sottoposti a rigorosi collaudi. Per-

tanto Vaporella può contenere già dell’acqua

residua nella caldaia.

L’uso conforme del prodotto è unicamente

quello riportato nel presente libretto di istru-

zioni. Ogni altro uso può danneggiare l’appa-

recchio e invalidare la garanzia.

INFORMAZIONE AGLI UTENTI

Ai sensi della direttiva Europea 2012/19/UE in

materia di apparecchi elettrici ed elettronici,

non smaltire l’apparecchio insieme ai rifiuti

domestici ma consegnarlo ad un centro di

raccolta differenziata ufficiale. Questo pro-

dotto è conforme alla Direttiva EU

2011/65/UE.

Il simbolo del cassonetto barrato ri-

portato sull'apparecchio indica che il

prodotto, alla fine della propria vita

utile, deve essere raccolto separata-

mente dagli altri rifiuti. L'utente dovrà, per-

tanto, conferire l'apparecchiatura giunta a

fine vita agli idonei centri di raccolta differen-

ziata dei rifiuti elettronici ed elettrotecnici,

oppure, secondo quanto previsto dalla nor-

mativa del Paese, consegnare ai distributori

l’apparecchio dismesso all’atto d’acquisto di

un apparecchio nuovo equivalente.

L'adeguata raccolta differenziata per l'avvio

successivo dell'apparecchio dismesso al rici-

claggio, al trattamento e allo smaltimento

ambientalmente compatibile contribuisce ad

evitare possibili effetti negativi sull'ambiente

e sulla salute e favorisce il riciclo dei materiali

di cui è composta l'apparecchiatura. Lo smal-

timento abusivo del prodotto da parte del

detentore comporta l'applicazione delle san-

zioni amministrative previste dalla normativa

vigente.

QUALE ACQUA UTILIZZARE NELLA

CALDAIA

Questa Vaporella è stata progettata per fun-

zionare con acqua di rubinetto con una du-

rezza media compresa tra 8° e 20° f. Se l’ac-

qua di rubinetto contiene molto calcare non

utilizzare esclusivamente acqua demineraliz-

zata pura ma una miscela composta al 50% di

acqua di rubinetto e 50% di acqua deminera-

lizzata reperibile in commercio.

Avviso: informarsi sulla durezza dell’acqua

presso l’ufficio tecnico comunale oppure l’en-

te di erogazione idrica locale.

Se si utilizza solo acqua di rubinetto, si può ri-

durre la formazione di calcare utilizzando lo

speciale anticalcare a base naturale

Non utilizzare acqua distillata, acqua demine-

ralizzata non diluita, acqua piovana o acqua

contenente additivi (come ad esempio amido,

profumo), acqua profumata o acqua prodotta

da altri elettrodomestici, da addolcitori e ca-

raffe filtranti.

Non introdurre sostanze chimiche, naturali,

detergenti, disincrostanti, ecc.

1. PREPARAZIONE ALL’USO

1.1 Posizionare Vaporella su una superficie sta-

bile, piana e resistente al calore.

1.2 Aprire la serrandina a scomparsa agendo

dall’alto verso il basso (1).

1.3 Inserire l’astina reggiguaina nel suo foro di

alloggiamento (2), sistemare la guaina (ali-

mentazione ferro - tubo vapore) nell’apposito

sostegno (2).

1.4 Svitare il tappo di sicurezza e riempire la

caldaia con 1,3l di acqua (se completamente

vuota), badando che non trabocchi, utilizzan-

do l’apposito imbuto (3). Riavvitare il tappo di

sicurezza con attenzione, assicurandosi che

sia totalmente avvitato.

Questa operazione deve essere sempre ese-

guita con il cavo di alimentazione scollegato

dalla rete elettrica.

1.5 Inserire la spina del cavo amovibile nella

presa a pannello dell’apparecchio (4) e inseri-

re la spina dell’alimentazione in una presa di

corrente idonea dotata di collegamento a ter-

ra (5).

1.6 Premere l’interruttore luminoso caldaia

()e l’interruttore luminoso ferro (

); si il-

luminerà la spia pronto vapore ()e la spia ri-

scaldamento ferro.

2. REGOLAZIONE TEMPERATURA

FERRO

Prima di stirare un capo è sempre necessario

verificare i simboli sull'etichetta dello stesso

con le istruzioni per il trattamento fornite dal

produttore.

Controllare in base alla tabella seguente il ti-

po di stiratura più opportuno e selezionare sul

ferro la temperatura adeguata (7):

3. STIRARE A VAPORE

3.1 Assicurarsi che il Capitolo 1 sia stato ese-

guito e regolare la temperatura del ferro da sti-

ro (7) come da capitolo 2.

3.2 Attendere che la spia pronto vapore ( )di

Vaporella e la spia riscaldamento del ferro sia-

no spente.

3.3 Regolare l’intensità del vapore ruotando la

manopola in senso orario per aumentare il

getto di vapore (8). Per diminuirlo, ruotare la

manopola in senso antiorario.

3.4 Premere il pulsante (9) sul ferro per avere

la fuoriuscita del vapore dai fori presenti sulla

piastra. Rilasciando il pulsante, il flusso si inter-

rompe. Procedere con la stiratura dei capi.

3.5 Per avere un getto continuo di vapore

spostare in avanti il tasto vapore continuo

(10). Il vapore continuerà ad uscire anche rila-

sciando il tasto. Per interrompere l’erogazio-

ne, spostare indietro il tasto stesso (10).

4. STIRATURA VERTICALE

E’ possibile usare il ferro in posizione verticale

per rimuovere le pieghe dai tessuti e/o per

rinfrescare le fibre degli stessi, eliminando

eventuali odori residui.

Tenere il ferro in posizione verticale, premere

il pulsante (8) e se il tipo di tessuto lo permet-

te sfiorare il tessuto leggermente con la pia-

stra.

ATTENZIONE: Durante il primo funziona-

mento del vapore può verificarsi la fuoriusci-

ta di qualche goccia d’acqua frammista a va-

pore dovuta alla non perfetta stabilizzazione

termica.

Orientare il primo getto di vapore su uno

straccio.

ATTENZIONE: Non lasciare per nessun moti-

vo la bottiglia di riempimento o l'imbuto ap-

poggiati sull'imbocco della caldaia, con il

prodotto collegato alla rete di alimentazio-

ne, in quanto ciò potrebbe provocare delle

scottature.

ATTENZIONE: Per le basse temperature è

sconsigliato l’utilizzo del vapore poiché po-

trebbe fuoriuscire dell’acqua dai fori della

piastra. Per le medie temperature alternare

l’utilizzo del vapore con l’utilizzo del ferro a

secco per evitare la fuoriuscite dell’acqua

dai fori della piastra.

Suddividere la biancheria da stirare secondo

i simboli riportarti sull’etichetta applicata ai

capi o, in mancanza, per tipo di tessuto. Ini-

ziare a stirare sempre dai capi di abbiglia-

mento che si stirano a temperature più bas-

se, per ridurre i tempi di attesa ed evitare il

rischio di bruciare i tessuti.

ATTENZIONE: Se si dovesserro verificare fu-

ghe di vapore dal tappo di sicurezza, spe-

gnere l’apparecchio e staccare la spina di ali-

mentazione dalla rete elettrica. Attendere 2

ore per far raffreddare l’apparecchio prima di

svitare e riavvitare il tappo.

La spia pronto vapore si illumina e si spegne

durante il funzionamento, questo indica che

la resistenza elettrica è entrata in funzione

per mantenere costante la pressione della

caldaia. Pertanto è possibile continuare re-

golarmente la stiratura, in quanto il fenome-

no è normale.

ATTENZIONE: Non lasciare il ferro caldo su

nessuna superficie. Vaporella è dotata di un

tappetino poggiaferro con gommini antiscivo-

lo ideati per resistere a temperature elevate.

5. STIRATURA A SECCO

5.1 Assicurarsi che il Capitolo 1 sia stato ese-

guito, lasciando spento l’interruttore caldaia,

regolare la temperatura del ferro da stiro (7)

come da capitolo 2.

6. MANCANZA ACQUA

La mancanza acqua nella caldaia viene visua-

lizzata dall’accensione dell’indicatore man-

canza acqua ( ).

Per continuare ad operare procedere come

segue:

• Spegnere l’interruttore caldaia.

• Azionare il pulsante sul ferro da stiro fino

all’esaurimento del flusso di vapore.

• Spegnere l’interruttore ferro.

•

Staccare la spina di alimentazione dalla

rete elettrica.

• Attendere 10 minuti e rimuovere il tappo di

sicurezza svitandolo senza doverlo forzare.

• Lasciare raffreddarel’apparecchio per altri

10 minuti.

• Riempire la caldaia come indicato nel capi-

tolo 1.

• Riavvitare il tappo di sicurezza con atten-

zione, assicurandosi che sia completa-

mente avvitato.

7. MANUTENZIONE GENERALE

Prima di effettuare qualunque operazione di

manutenzione, staccare sempre la spina di ali-

mentazione dalla rete elettrica assicurandosi

che il prodotto si sia raffreddato.

Per la pulizia esterna dell’apparecchio utiliz-

zare esclusivamente un panno umido.

Non utilizzare detergenti di alcun tipo.

Pulire la piastra del ferro quando è completa-

mente fredda con un panno umido o con una

spugna non abrasiva.

Per una buona manutenzione della caldaia

consigliamo l’utilizzo di Kalstop, lo speciale

anticalcare a base naturale, distribuito da Pol-

ti e disponibile all’acquisto nei migliori negozi

di elettrodomestici e sul sito www.polti.com.

8. KALSTOP

Kalstop è l’anticalcare per apparecchi a cal-

daia per lo stiro e la pulizia a vapore.

L’utilizzo costante di Kalstop, ad ogni riempi-

mento d’acqua del serbatoio:

- Prolunga la vita dell’apparecchio.

- Fa si che il vapore emesso sia più secco.

- Previene le incrostazioni di calcare.

- Protegge le pareti della caldaia.

- Contribuisce al risparmio d’energia.

9. RIMESSAGGIO

9.1 Spegnere l’apparecchio e scollegarlo dalla

rete elettrica.

9.2 Attendere il completo raffreddamento del

prodotto prima di riporlo.

ATTENZIONE: Non riempire mai la caldaia

appena si apre il tappo di sicurezza perchè

la caldaia è ancora calda, anche se la presa

di corrente è staccata; l’acqua fredda, a con-

tatto con la caldaia calda e vuota evapora

provocando uno spruzzo di vapore che po-

trebbe causare ustioni a contatto con la pel-

le; riempire solo quando la caldaia è fredda e

comunque quando si effettua il riempimento

tenere sempre lontano il viso dall’imbocca-

tura della caldaia.

ATTENZIONE: Vapore.

Pericolo di scottatura!

Quando si stira a secco, prestare attenzione

a non premere il pulsante richiesta vapore in

quanto potrebbe verificarsi dell'uscita d'ac-

qua dalla piastra.

ATTENZIONE: Se durante lo svitamento il

tappo gira a vuoto o se si verificano fughe di

vapore interrompere immediatamente l’ope-

razione assicurandosi di aver scollegato il ca-

vo alimentazione dalla presa. Attendere

quindi che l’apparecchio si raffreddi (almeno

2 ore) e svitare il tappo prima di procedere

alla rimozione. ATTENZIONE AL VISO!!!

idoneo documento di acquisto rilasciato dal

• During use there is pressure inside the boiler. Do not remove

the boiler cap if the equipment is switched ON.

• To carry out any maintenance or cleaning requiring access to

the boiler, ensure that the appliance is switched off at the

power switch and disconnected from the mains for at least

two hours.

• The appliance must not be left unattended if plugged in to

the mains.

• The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.

• When placing the iron on its stand, make sure that the

surface on which the stand is placed is stable.

• The iron must be used with the ironing (fixed or removable)

mat provided.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years

and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if

they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the

RISKS CONNECTED TO THE POWER SUPPLY –

ELECTROCUTION

• The earthing system and highly sensitive residual-current

circuit breaker, complete with magnetothermic cut-out for

your domestic system, guarantee safe use of electrical

appliances.

Therefore, for your own safety, check that the electrical

system to which the appliance is connected complies with

current laws.

• Do not connect the appliance to the mains if the voltage does

not correspond with that of the domestic electrical circuit in

use.

• Do not overload sockets with adaptors and/or transformers.

Only connect the product to a single socket with current that

is compatible with the plug supplied.

• Electrical extension leads that are unsuitable for the power

rating or which are not compliant with law may overheat and

possibly lead to short circuiting, fire, power outage or

damage to the equipment. Only use extension leads which

are certified, suitable for the power rating, supporting 16A

and earthed.

• Always turn the appliance off before unplugging it.

• To remove the plug from the socket, do not pull the power

cable, but hold the plug itself to avoid damage to the plug

and the cable.

• Always unplug the appliance if it is not in use and before any

preparation, maintenance or cleaning operation.

• Fully unwind the cable and steam hose before connecting

the appliance to the mains and before use. Always use the

product with the cable and steam hose completely unwound.

• Do not pull or jerk the cable or the steam hose, or strain it

(twisting, crushing or stretching). Keep the cable and steam

hose away from hot and/or sharp surfaces and elements.

Avoid the cable and steam hose coming into contact with the

hot iron plate. Avoid crushing the cable and steam hose in

doors and windows. Do not pull the cable and steam hose

tight around corners. Avoid treading on the cable and steam

hose. Do not walk over the cable and steam hose. Do not

especially if the appliance is hot.

• Do not change the plug on the power cable.

• If the power cable or the steam hose is damaged, it must be

replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly

not use the product if the power cable and the steam hose

are damaged.

• Do not touch or use the appliance barefoot and/or with wet

body or feet.

• Do not use the appliance near containers full of water, e.g.

sinks, baths and swimming pools.

• Do not immerse the appliance, including the power cable and

• Steam must not be directed towards equipment containing

RISKS DURING USE OF THE PRODUCT – INJURIES/SCALDING

• The product should not be used in areas where there is a

danger of explosions or in the presence of toxic substances.

• Do not pour toxic substances, acids, solvents, detergents,

corrosive substances and/or explosives, perfumes or scented

water into the water tank and boiler.

• Only pour water or the water mix indicated in the section

“Which water to use in the boiler” into the tank.

• Do not direct the steam jet or the iron onto toxic substances,

acids, solvents, detergents or corrosive substances. The

handling and removal of dangerous substances must be

carried out according to the indications of the manufacturers

of these substances.

• Do not direct the steam jet or the iron onto explosive

powders or liquids, hydrocarbons, open flames and or

extremely hot objects.

• Do not direct the steam jet at the ironing mat and/or the

appliance itself.

• Do not position the product near sources of heat such as

fireplaces, stoves and ovens.

• Do not obstruct the openings and grills on the product.

• Do not direct the steam jet or the iron onto any part of the

body of people or animals.

• Do not direct the steam jet or the iron onto clothes while

they are being worn.

• Cloths and fabrics which have been subjected to a deep

steam reach very high temperatures, above 100°C. Take care

when handling the appliance.

• During use, keep the product in a horizontal position on a

stable surface.

• Iron only on supports that are heat resistant and which allow

the steam to permeate.

• If the iron rest mat needs to be replaced, only use original

spare parts.

• Do not rest the iron on a base without the ironing mat.

• Do not place the hot appliance on heat-sensitive surfaces.

• If ironing whilst sitting down, take care to ensure that the jet

of steam is not angled towards your legs. Steam can scald.

• Before connecting the appliance to the current, ensure that

the continuous steam jet button is not pressed (if present).

• Do not leave the iron unattended when the steam is

activated.

• Wait until the iron has cooled down completely before

storing after use.

• Always use the appliance with the safety cap supplied or an

original replacement part. Using non-original Polti safety

caps can lead to accidents.

• When accessing the pressurised boiler (removing the cap,

filling up), ensure that the appliance has been switched off at

the power switch and disconnected from the mains for at

least two hour, allowing it to cool. There is a risk of accidents

while the boiler is a switched on/hot and pressurised.

• Do not connect the appliance with the safety cap removed.

Carefully tighten the safety cap before plugging in and

turning on the appliance.

• Before turning on the appliance, check that there is nothing

blocking the mouth of the boiler (filler bottle, funnel, or other

objects), and that the safety cap is closed.

• Check that the safety cap is correctly tightened; if steam is

escaping from the cap, switch off the boiler, unplug the

power cable, wait for two hour for the appliance to cool, and

then unscrew. Check the condition of the safety cap and seal.

If the cap is in good condition, screw it back on completely. If

steam continues to escape from the cap, take the appliance

to the nearest authorised service centre.

• Periodically check the condition of the safety cap and seal.

Impact and being dropped may compromise the safety of the

cap. Replace with an original spare part or replace the seal.

• If the cap spins freely, this indicates that the boiler is still

pressurised and therefore hot. Never force the cap open,

whether the appliance is switched on or the boiler is switched

off and the appliance is disconnected from the mains. Always

wait for the boiler to cool, opening the cap without force.

• Do not use tools to unscrew the cap. If the cap cannot be

removed, even once the appliance has cooled, go to your

nearest authorised service centre.

• WARNING Never fill the boiler as soon as the safety cap

has been opened when the boiler is still hot, even if the

appliance is unplugged from the mains. On contact with the

hot, empty boiler, cold water will evaporate producing a

spray of steam which can cause burns. Only fill the boiler

when cold and always keep your face away from the boiler

mouth when filling.

• The use of non-original Polti caps and disregard for the

instructions in this manual constitutes improper use. Polti

S.p.A. declines all liability for any accident deriving from any

improper use of this appliance.

This appliance has been designed only for

domestic use as a steam iron with a separate

boiler according to descriptions and

instructions provided in this manual. Please

read these instructions carefully and keep

them. If this manual is lost, it can be

consulted and/or downloaded from the

website www.polti.com.

POLTI S.p.A. reserves the right to make the

aesthetic, technical and construction changes

it deems necessary, without prior notice.

Before leaving our factory all our products

are rigorously tested. This is the reason why

your Vaporella may contain some residual

water in the boiler.

Correct use of the product is only as detailed

in this instruction manual. Any other use may

damage the appliance and invalidate the

warranty.

INFORMATION FOR USERS

Pursuant to European Directive 2012/19/EU,

regarding electric and electronic appliances,

this appliance must not be disposed of with

domestic waste, but must be sent to an

official collection facility. This appliance

complies with EU Directive 2011/65/EU.

The crossed-out bin symbol on the

appliance indicates that, at the end

of its useful lifespan, the product

must be disposed of separately

from other waste. Therefore, at the end of

its life, the user must hand over the

appliance to an appropriate collection

centre for electric and electronic waste or,

according to the legislation in force in the

country, leave the used appliance with the

distributor when buying a new product to

replace it. Proper separate waste

collection to facilitate the subsequent

recycling, treatment and environmentally

compatible disposal of the appliance helps

to prevent negative effects on the

environment and human health, and

promotes recycling of the materials the

product is made of. Unlawful disposal by

the owner may result in the application of

the administrative sanctions envisaged by

WHICH WATER TO USE IN THE

BOILER

This Vaporella has been designed to function

with medium-hardness tap water between

8°f and 20°f. If the tap water is very hard, do

not just use demineralised water but a mix

composed of 50% tap water and 50%

demineralised water which is widely available

Warning: check the hardness of the water at

the technical office at your local council or

the local water supplier.

If you only use tap water, you can reduce the

formation of limescale by using the special

Kalstop (PAEU0094)

anti-limescale product,

distributed by Polti, and available for sale at

all major domestic-appliance stores or online

at www.polti.com.

Do not use distilled water, undiluted

demineralised water, rain water or water

containing additives (e.g. starch, perfumes),

scented water or water produced by other

domestic appliances, by water softeners and

filter jugs.

Do not add chemical, natural, detergent, or

limescale removing substances, etc.

1. PREPARATION FOR USE

1.1 Position Vaporella on a stable, flat, heat-re-

sistant surface.

1.2 Open the roller shutter cover by moving

downwards (1).

1.3 Fit the flex holder to the appliance (2), pla-

ce the combined steam iron flex into the sup-

port (2).

1.4 Unscrew the safety cap and fill the boiler

with 1,3l of water (if completely empty),

making sure it does not overflow, using the

special funnel (3). Carefully screw the safety

cap back on, checking that it is completely

closed.

This operation must always be carried out

when the boiler has cooled and with the

power cable disconnected from the mains.

1.5 Insert the removable supply cable plug in-

to to the built-in socket on the appliance (4).

Plug the appliance into an earthed power

supply of the correct voltage (5).

1.6 Switch on the boiler ( ) and iron by

pressing the switches (6); the pressure indi-

cator light ( ) and iron heating indicator light

will come on.

2. IRON TEMPERATURE

ADJUSTMENT

Before ironing an item of clothing, always

check the symbols on its label, for the

instructions provided by the manufacturer.

Check, based on the following table, the most

appropriate type of ironing and select the

most appropriate temperature on the iron

(7):

3. STEAM IRONING

3.1 Make sure that chapter 1 has been comple-

ted and regulate the temperature of the iron

(7) as described in chapter 2

3.2 Wait for the “Steam Ready” indicator light

()and “Iron Heating” indicator light to turn

off.

3.3 Adjust the steam flow by turning the knob

in a clockwise direction to increase the jet of

steam (8). Turning it in an anticlockwise di-

rection reduces the steam flow.

3.4 Press the steam button (9) on the iron to

make steam come out of the holes on the pla-

te. Releasing the button, the flow stops. Pro-

ceed to iron the garments.

3.5 To have a continuous jet of steam move

the button forward (10). The steam will conti-

nue to come out even when the button is re-

leased. To interrupt the supply, move the but-

ton backward (10).

4. VERTICAL IRONING

It is possible to use the iron vertically to re-

move creases from fabrics and/or to freshen

up the fibres, eliminating possible residual

odours.

Hold the iron vertically, push the steam but-

ton (8) and touch the fabric slightly with the

soleplate, if the type of fabrics allows it.

5. DRY IRONING

5.1 Ensure that Chapter 1 has been followed,

keeping the boiler switch turned off, adju-

sting the temperature of the iron (7) as de-

scribed in Chapter 2.

WARNING: When first operating steam,

there may be some drops of water mixed

with the steam due to temperature

imbalances.

Direct the first jet of steam onto a rag.

High temperature – cotton, linen:

WARNING: For low temperature we do not

recommend the use of steam since water

could come out from the holes on the

soleplate. For medium temperature

alternate the use of steam and dry ironing

to avoid water leaking from the holes on the

soleplate.

Divide the laundry according to the

symbols on the garment labels or

according to the kind of fabric. Always start

ironing with the garments that require the

lowest temperature, in order to reduce the

waiting times and avoid the risk of burning

the fabrics.

WARNING: Never leave the filling bottle or

the funnel resting on the mouth of the

boiler, with the product connected to the

power supply, since this could cause burns.

WARNING: If steam is escaping from the

safety cap, switch the appliance off and

unplug it from the mains. Wait for two hour

for the appliance to cool before unscrewing

the cap and screwing it back on.

The indicator lights “Iron heating” and

“Steam ready” turn on and off during use.

This indicates that the electrical resistor has

started to work to keep the pressure of the

boiler steady. This is a normal occurrence,

and it is therefore possible to continue iro-

ning.

WARNING: Do not place the hot iron on any

surface. Vaporella is equipped with an iron

rest mat with soft non-slip inserts designed

to resist high temperatures.

When ironing dry, pay attention not to

press the steam button, since water could

leak from the plate.

6. OUT OF WATER

The lack of water in the boiler is identified by

the out-of-water light coming on( ).

To continue with use, proceed as follows:

• Switch off the OFF/boiler switch.

• Operate the steam request button on the

iron until the steam stops flowing.

• Turn off the iron switch.

•

Unplug from the mains electricity.

• Wait ten minutes and remove the safety

cap, unscrewing it without force.

• Leave the appliance to cool for another 10

minutes.

• Fill the boiler as indicated in Chapter 1.

• Carefully screw the safety cap back on,

checking that it is completely closed.

7. GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Before carrying out any maintenance on the

device, always unplug it from the power

mains making sure that the product has coo-

led down before proceeding.

To clean the outside of the appliance, only

use a damp cloth and tap water.

Do not use detergents of any type.

Clean the iron soleplate when it is completely

cold with a damp cloth or with a non-abrasive

sponge.

For good maintenance of the boiler we sug-

gest using Kalstop, the special natural-base li-

mescale, distributed by Polti, and available

for sale at all major domestic-appliance sto-

res and online at www.polti.com.

8. KALSTOP

Kalstop is the limescale product for

appliances with boiler for ironing and steam

cleaning.

Regular use of Kalstop, every time the tank is

filled with water:

- Extends the life of the appliance.

- Allows emission of a “drier” steam

- Prevents limescale build up.

- Protects the walls of the boiler.

- Contributes to saving energy.

Kalstop is sold in packages of 20 phials at

household appliance stores, at Polti

authorized service centres and at

www.polti.com.

9. STORAGE

9.1 Turn off the appliance and disconnect

from the mains electricity.

9.2 Wait for the appliance to cool down

completely before storing it.

WARNING: Steam.

Risk of scalding!

WARNING: Never fill the boiler as soon as

the safety cap has been opened when the

boiler is still hot, even if the appliance is

unplugged from the mains. On contact with

the hot, empty boiler, cold water will

evaporate producing a spray of steam

which can cause burns. Only fill the boiler

when cold and always keep your face away

from the boiler mouth when filling.

WARNING: If, during unscrewing, the cap

spins freely or if steam is escaping, immedia-

tely stop the operation, ensuring that the

boiler is switched off and the power cable is

unplugged from the mains. Wait for the ap-

pliance to cool (two hour) and unscrew the

cap before removal. TAKE CARE OF YOUR

FACE !!!

WARRANTY

This appliance is for domestic use only and is

guaranteed for two years from the date of

purchase against any defects present at the

time the goods are handed over; the date of

purchase must be proven via a proof of

purchase document valid for tax purposes

and issued by the seller.

For repairs, the appliance must be

accompanied by proof of purchase.

This warranty does not affect the consumer

rights deriving from European Directive

99/44/EC as regards some aspects of sale

and warranty of consumer goods, rights

which the consumer should uphold with

respect to the seller.

This warranty is valid in the countries which

adhere to European Directive 99/44/EC. For

other countries, local regulations on

warranties apply.

WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS

During the warranty, Polti guarantees free

repair of a product with a manufacturing or

factory defect and, therefore, the client is not

liable to pay for any work or materials.

In case of irreparable defects, Polti may

replace the product free of charge.

To avail of the warranty, the customer should

visit one of the Polti Authorised Service

Centres with proof of purchase from the

seller valid for tax purposes and bearing the

date of purchase of the product. Without

proof of purchase and the relative date of

purchase, the work will be charged for. Store

the proof of purchase document safely for

the whole duration of the warranty.

WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

• Any fault or damage not deriving from a

manufacturing defect.

• Any fault due to improper use or use

other than that indicated in the

instruction booklet, an integral part of the

product sales contract.

• Any defect resulting from force majeure

(fires, short circuits) or caused by third

parties (tampering).

• Damage caused by the use of non-original

Polti parts, and repairs or modifications

performed by staff or service centres not

authorised by Polti.

• Damage caused by the customer.

• Parts (filter, brush, hose, etc.) damaged

by use (consumable goods) or normal

wear and tear.

• Any damage caused by limescale.

• Defects resulting from lack of

maintenance/cleaning according to the

manufacturer’s instructions.

• Assembly of non-original Polti

accessories or those that have been

modified or which are not suitable for the

appliance.

Inappropriate use and/or use not compliant

with the instructions for use and any other

warnings or indications contained in this

manual invalidates the warranty.

tapón de seguridad si el equipo está encendido.

• Para realizar cualquier operación de mantenimiento o limpieza

con acceso a la caldera, asegurarse de haber apagado el

aparato mediante el interruptor correspondiente y de que

lleve desconectado de la red eléctrica al lo menos 2 horas.

• El aparato no debe permanecer sin vigilancia si está

conectado a la red eléctrica.

• La plancha se debe utilizar y conservar sobre una superficie

estable.

• Al colocar la plancha en su soporte, asegúrese de que la

superficie en la que está colocado el soporte sea estable.

• La plancha debe utilizarse con la alfombrilla reposa plancha

(fijo o extraíble) uministrada.

• Este aparato lo pueden utilizar menores de más de 8 años,

personas con capacidades físicas, sensoriales o mentales

reducidas o personas inexpertas sólo si reciben previamente

RIESGOS RELACIONADOS CON LA ALIMENTACIÓN

ELÉCTRICA - ELECTROCUCIÓN

• La instalación de tierra y el interruptor diferencial de alta

sensibilidad “Salvavidas”, dotado de protección

magnetotérmica de la instalación doméstica son garantía de

seguridad en el uso de los aparatos eléctricos.

Por lo tanto, por su seguridad compruebe que la instalación

eléctrica a la que está conectado el aparato esté realizada de

acuerdo con las leyes vigentes.

• No conecte el aparato a la red eléctrica si la tensión (voltaje)

no se corresponde con la del circuito eléctrico doméstico en

uso.

• No sobrecargue las tomas de corriente con enchufes dobles

y/o reductores. Conecte exclusivamente el producto a tomas

de corriente individuales compatibles con el enchufe en

dotación.

• No utilice alargadores eléctricos que no estén debidamente

dimensionados y no conformes con las leyes vigentes, ya que

pueden ser causa de sobrecalentamiento con posibles

consecuencias de cortocircuito, incendio, interrupción de

energía y daños en la instalación. Utilice exclusivamente

alargadores certificados y debidamente dimensionados que

soporten 16A y con instalación de toma de tierra.

• Apague siempre el aparato antes de desconectarlo de la red

eléctrica.

• Para desconectar el enchufe de la toma de corriente, no

estire nunca del cable de alimentación, extráigalo

empuñando el enchufe para evitar daños en la toma y el

cable.

• Desconecte siempre el enchufe de la toma de corriente en

caso de que el aparato no esté en funcionamiento y antes de

cualquier operación de preparación, mantenimiento y

limpieza.

• Desenrolle completamente el cable y el tubo de vapor antes

de conectarlo a la red eléctrica y antes del uso. Utilice el

producto siempre con el cable y el tubo de vapor

completamente desenrollado.

• No tire ni zarandee el cable y el tubo de vapor ni los someta a

tensiones (torsiones, aplastamientos, tirones). Mantenga el

cable y el tubo lejos de superficies y partes calientes y/o

afiladas. Evite que el cable y el tubo de vapor entren en

contacto con la suela de la plancha caliente. Evite que el

cable y el tubo de vapor queden aplastados en puertas y

tapas. No tense el cable ni el tubo de vapor sobre esquinas

tirando de ellos. Evite pisar el cable y el tubo de vapor. No

pase por encima del cable y el tubo de vapor. No enrolle el

cable de alimentación ni el tubo de vapor alrededor del

aparato sobre todo cuando el aparato esté caliente.

• No sustituya el enchufe del cable de alimentación.

• Si el cable de alimentación y el tubo de vapor están dañados,

para evitar riesgos, es necesario que lo sustituya el

fabricante, personal del servicio de atención al cliente o

personal cualificado equivalente. No utilice el producto con el

cable de alimentación dañado.

• No toque ni use el aparato si se está con los pies descalzos

y/o con el cuerpo o los pies mojados.

• No utilice el aparato cerca de recipientes llenos de agua

como por ejemplo lavabos, bañeras y piscinas.

• No sumerja el aparato, incluidos el cable y el enchufe, en

agua u otros líquidos.

• El vapor no debe dirigirse hacia aparatos que contengan

componentes eléctricos y/o electrónicos.

RIESGOS RELACIONADOS CON EL USO DEL PRODUCTO –

LESIONES / QUEMADURAS

• El producto no debe utilizarse en lugares donde haya peligro

de explosiones y sustancias tóxicas.

• No vierta en el depósito ni en la caldera sustancias tóxicas,

ácidos, solventes, detergentes, sustancias corrosivas y/o

líquidos explosivos, perfumes ni agua perfumada.

• Introduzca en el depósito y en la caldera exclusivamente el

agua o la mezcla de agua indicada en el capítulo “Qué agua

utilizar en la caldera”.

• No dirija el chorro de vapor y no oriente la plancha sobre

sustancias tóxicas, ácidos, solventes, detergentes o

sustancias corrosivas. El tratamiento y la eliminación de

sustancias peligrosas debe realizarse según las indicaciones

de los fabricantes de estas sustancias.

• No dirija el chorro de vapor y no oriente la plancha sobre

polvos y líquidos explosivos, hidrocarburos u objetos en

llamas y/o incandescentes.

• No dirija el chorro de vapor hacia la alfombrilla reposa

plancha y/o el aparato.

• No coloque el producto cerca de fuentes de calor como

chimeneas, estufas u hornos.

• No obstruya las aperturas y las rejillas situadas en el

producto.

• No dirija el chorro de vapor y no oriente la plancha hacia

cualquier parte del cuerpo de personas y animales.

• No dirija el chorro de vapor y no oriente la plancha hacia las

prendas que se lleven puestas.

• Los paños, trapos y tejidos en los que se haya hecho una

vaporización profunda alcanzan temperaturas muy altas,

superiores a los 100°C. Preste atención cuando se los maneja.

• Durante el uso, mantenga el producto en posición horizontal

y en superficies estables.

• Planche sólo sobre soportes resistentes al calor que dejen

pasar el vapor.

• En caso de sustitución de la suela reposa plancha, utilice sólo

recambios originales.

• No coloque la plancha sobre la base desprovista de la

alfombrilla reposa plancha.

• No deje nunca el aparato caliente sobre superficies sensibles

al calor.

• En caso de planchar sentado, preste atención a que el chorro

de vapor no se dirija hacia las piernas. El vapor podría causar

quemaduras.

• Antes de conectar el aparato a la corriente, asegúrese de que

el botón de emisión continua de vapor no esté encendido (si

está presente).

• No deje desatendida la plancha con el vapor activado.

• Espere a que el aparato se haya enfriado del todo antes de

guardarlo después del uso.

• Utilizar siempre el aparato con el tapón de seguridad en

dotación o un recambio original. El uso de tapones no

originales Polti constituye riesgo de accidentes.

• Para realizar cualquier operación de acceso a la caldera bajo

presión

(retirada del tapón, llenado) asegurarse de haber

apagado el aparato mediante el interruptor correspondiente

y de que lleve desconectado de la red eléctrica al menos 2

horas para que se enfríe. La caldera encendida y/o caliente y

bajo presión constituye riesgo de posible accidente.

• No conectar el aparato con el tapón de seguridad quitado.

Enroscar con cuidado el tapón de seguridad antes de

conectar el enchufe y encender el aparato.

• Antes de encender el aparato, asegurarse de que ningún

objeto obstruya la boca de la caldera (botella de llenado,

embuto u otros objetos) y de que el tapón de seguridad esté

cerrado.

• Asegurarse de que el tapón de seguridad esté bien

enroscado; si se producen fugas de vapor por el tapón,

apagar la caldera, desconectar el cable de alimentación,

esperar 2 horas a que el aparato se enfríe y desenroscar el

tapón. Comprobar el estado del tapón de seguridad y de su

junta. Si el tapón está íntegro, volverlo a enroscar

completamente. Si sigue saliendo vapor por el tapón, llevar el

aparato al centro de asistencia técnica más cercano.

• Comprobar periódicamente el estado del tapón de seguridad

y de su junta. En caso de golpe o caída, el tapón podría dejar

de ser seguro. Sustituirlo con piezas de recambio originales o

sustituir la junta.

• Si el tapón gira en vacío quiere decir que aún hay presión y,

por tanto, temperatura en la caldera. No forzar nunca la

apertura del tapón cuando el aparato está en funcionamiento

ni con la caldera apagada y desconectada de la red eléctrica.

Esperar siempre a que la caldera se enfríe para abrir el tapón

sin forzarlo.

• No utilizar ninguna herramienta para desenroscar el tapón. Si

no se puede quitar incluso con el aparato frío, acudir a un

centro de asistencia autorizado.

• ATENCIÓN No llenar nunca la caldera en cuanto se abre el

tapón de seguridad con la caldera aún caliente, aunque la

toma de corriente esté desconectada; el agua fría, en

contacto con la caldera caliente y vacía, se evapora,

provocando una salida de vapor que podría causar

quemaduras en contacto con la piel; llenar sólo cuando la

caldera está fría y, en todo caso, cuando se realiza el llenado

mantener la cara siempre lejos de la boca de la caldera.

USO CORRECTO DEL PRODUCTO

Este aparato está destinado al uso doméstico

como plancha con caldera separada según la

descripción e instrucciones incluidas en este

manual. Se ruega leer atentamente estas

instrucciones y conservarlas para futuras

consultas; en caso de pérdida del presente

manual de instrucciones, se puede consultar

y/o descargar de la página web

www.polti.com.

POLTI S.p.A se reserva el derecho de

introducir las modificaciones estéticas,

técnicas y constructivas que considere

necesarias, sin obligación de preaviso.

Antes de dejar la fábrica todos nuestros

productos se someten a rigurosas pruebas.

Por lo tanto, Vaporella puede contener agua

en la caldera.

El uso conforme del producto es

exclusivamente el que aparece en el presente

manual de instrucciones. Todo uso diferente

puede dañar el aparato e invalidar la garantía.

A LOS USUARIOS

Conforme a la Directiva Europea 2012/19/UE

en materia de aparatos eléctricos y

electrónicos, no elimine el aparato junto con

los residuos domésticos. Entréguelo a un

centro de recogida diferenciada oficial. Este

aparato cumple la Directiva 2011/65/UE.

El símbolo de la papelera tachada

situado sobre el aparato indica que

este producto, al final de su vida útil,

debe ser recogido separadamente

de los demás residuos. Por lo tanto, el usuario

deberá entregar el aparato a desechar en los

centros de recogida separada de residuos

electrónicos y electrotécnicos, o bien, según

lo establecido por la normativa del país,

entregar el aparato desechado a los

distribuidores al efectuar la compra de un

aparato nuevo equivalente. El adecuado

proceso de recogida diferenciada permite

dirigir el aparato desechado al reciclaje, a su

tratamiento y a su eliminación de una forma

respetuosa con el medio ambiente,

contribuyendo a evitar los posibles efectos

negativos en el medio ambiente y en la salud,

favoreciendo el reciclaje de los materiales de

los que está formado el producto. La

eliminación abusiva del producto por parte

del poseedor comporta la aplicación de las

sanciones administrativas previstas por la

normativa vigente.

QUÉ AGUA UTILIZAR EN LA

CALDERA

Esta Vaporella ha sido diseñada para

funcionar con la habitual

agua del grifo común, con una dureza media

comprendida entre 8° y 20° f. Si el agua del

grifo contiene mucha cal, no utilizar

exclusivamente agua desmineralizada sino

utilizar una mezcla formada por 50% de agua

del grifo y 50% de agua desmineralizada

disponible en el mercado. No utilizar

exclusivamente agua desmineralizada.

Aviso: informarse sobre la dureza del agua en

la oficina técnica municipal o en el organismo

de suministro hídrico local.

Si se usa sólo agua del grifo, se puede reducir

la formación de cal utilizando el anti-calcáreo

especial con base natural

No utilice agua destilada, agua

desmineralizada no diluida, agua de lluvia o

agua con aditivos (como por ejemplo

almidón o perfume), agua perfumada o agua

producida por otros electrodomésticos, por

ablandadores o jarras filtrantes.

No introduzca sustancias químicas, naturales,

detergentes, desincrustantes, etc.

1. PREPARACIÓN PARA EL USO

1.1 Posicionar Vaporella sobre una superficie

estable, plana y resistente al calor.

1.2 Abrir la tapa de arriba hacia abajo (1).

1.3 Insertar el soporte del cable de la plancha

en el orifício correspondiente (2). Colocar la

manguera (Alimentación plancha - Tubo va-

por) en el citado soporte (2).

1.4 Desenroscar el tapón de seguridad (1) y

rellenar la caldera con 1,3 l de agua (si está

completamente vacía), prestando atención a

que no rebose, utilizando el embudo especial

(3). Volver a enroscar con cuidado el tapón

de seguridad, asegurándose de que esté to-

talmente cerrado.

Esta operación se debe realizar con la caldera

fría y con el enchufe de alimentación desco-

nectado de la red eléctrica.

1.5 Insertar el enchufe del cable de alimenta-

ción en la toma del panel del aparato (4) e in-

sertar el enchufe del cable de alimentación a

una toma de corriente idónea que esté dota-

da de toma de tierra (5).

1.6 Pulsar el interruptor luminoso de la caldera

( ) y el interruptor luminoso de la plancha

(6); se iluminará el piloto de la presión ( ) y

el de calentamiento de la plancha.

2. REGULACIÓN TEMPERATURA

PLANCHA

Antes de planchar una prenda es importante

verificar los simbolos indicados en la etiqueta

de la misma con las instrucciones previstas

por el fabricante.

Comprobar tomando como base la tabla

siguiente el tipo de planchado más oportuno

y seleccionar en la plancha la temperatura

adecuada (7):

3. PLANCHADO CON VAPOR

3.1 Asegurarse que se han seguido las indica-

ciones del Capitulo 1 y regular la temperatura

de la plancha (7) según el capitulo 2.

3.2 Esperar a que la luz indicadora de vapor li-

sto ( ) y el piloto de calentamiento estén

apagados.

3.3 Regular la intensidad del vapor girando la

maneta de regulación en sentido horario para

aumentar el chorro de vapor (8). Para dismi-

nuirlo girar la rueda en el sentido inverso al de

las agujas del reloj.

3.4 Pulsar el botón de vapor (9) en la plancha

para que salga vapor de los orificios presen-

tes en la plancha. Soltando el botón la salida

se interrumpe. Proceder con el planchado de

las prendas.

3.5 Para lograr un chorro continuo de vapor,

desplazar el pulsador hacia adelante (10). El

vapor seguirá saliendo incluso al soltar el

botón. Para interrumpir la salida de vapor, de-

splazar hacia atrás dicho botón (10).

4. PLANCHADO VERTICAL

Es posible usar la plancha en posición vertical

para eliminar las arrugas de los tejidos y/o

para refrescar las fibras de los tejidos, elimi-

nando eventuales olores residuales.

Mantener la plancha en posición vertical, pre-

sionar el pulsador vapor (8) y si el tipo de

prenda permite, tocar el tejido suavemente

con la suela.

ATENCIÓN: No dejar por ningún motivo la

botella de rellenado o el embudo apoyados

sobre la embocadura de la caldera con el

producto conectado a la red de

alimentación, ya que ello podría provocar

quemaduras.

ATENCIÓN: Durante el primer

funcionamiento del vapor, se puede

producir la pérdida de algunas gotas de

agua mezclada con vapor, debido a una

estabilización térmica imperfecta. Orientar

el primer chorro de vapor hacia un paño.

Altas temperaturas – algodón, lino:

Ajustar la maneta de regulación tempera-

tura plancha en la posición

Medias temperaturas – lana, seda:

Ajustar la maneta de regulación tempera-

tura plancha en la posición

Bajas temperaturas – sintético, acrílico, ny-

lon, poliéster:

Ajustar la maneta de regulación tempera-

tura plancha en la posición

- el planchado a vapor y los tratamientos a

vapor no están admitidos

ATENCION: Para las bajas temperaturas se

desaconseja el uso del vapor porque la suela

podría expulsar agua. Para las temperaturas

medias alternar el uso del vapor con el uso

de la plancha en seco para evitar que la

suela expulse agua.

Subdividir la colada a planchar según el

símbolo indicado en la etiqueta aplicada en

las prendas o, en caso que no tenga, por

tipo de tejido. Iniciar el planchado siempre

por las prendas de vestir que se planchan a

temperaturas más bajas, para reducir los

tiempos de espera y evitar el riesgo de

quemar los tejidos.

ATENCIÓN: si se producen fugas de vapor

por el tapón de seguridad, apagar el aparato

y desconectar el enchufe de alimentación de

la red eléctrica. Esperar 2 horas para que se

enfríe el aparato antes de desenroscar y

volver a enroscar el tapón.

Los pilotos de vapor listo y de calentamiento

se iluminan y se apagan durante el funciona-

miento. Esto indica que la resistencia eléctri-

ca ha entrado en funcionamiento para man-

tener constante la presión de la caldera. Por

lo tanto, se puede seguir planchando nor-

malmente, ya que se trata de algo normal.

ATENCION: No colocar la plancha caliente

en ninguna superficie. Vaporella está dotada

de un posa-planchas con gomas antidesli-

zantes diseñadas para resistir temperaturas

elevadas.

5. PLANCHADO EN SECO

5.1 Asegurarse de que el Capítulo 1 se haya

llevado a cabo, dejando apagado el interrup-

tor de la caldera, regular la temperatura de la

plancha (7) según el capítulo 2.

6. FALTA DE AGUA

La falta de agua en la caldera se visualiza al

encenderse el indicador de falta de agua ( ).

Para seguir utilizando el aparato, realizar lo si-

guiente:

• Apagar el interruptor de la caldera.

• Accionar el botón de salida de vapor de la

plancha hasta que se agote el flujo de vapor.

• Apagar el interruptor de la plancha.

•

Desconectar el enchufe de alimentación de

la red eléctrica.

• Esperar 10 minutos y quitar el tapón de se-

guridad, desenroscándolo sin forzarlo.

• Dejar enfriar el aparato al menos 10 minu-

tos.

• Llenar la caldera como se indica en el capí-

tulo 1.

• Volver a enroscar con cuidado el tapón de

seguridad, asegurándose de que esté com-

pletamente cerrado.

7. MANTENIMIENTO GENERAL

Antes de efectuar cualquier operación de

mantenimiento, desenchufar siempre el en-

chufe de alimentación de la red eléctrica ase-

gurándose de que el producto se haya enfria-

do.

Para la limpieza exterior del aparato, utilizar

exclusivamente un paño húmedo.

No utilizar detergentes de ningún tipo.

Limpiar la placa de la plancha cuando está

completamente fría con un paño húmedo o

con una esponja no abrasiva.

Para un buen mantenimiento de la caldera

aconsejamos el uso de el anti-calcáreo espe-

cial con base natural Kalstop, distribuido por

Polti y disponible en las mejores tiendas de

electrodomésticos o en la página web

www.polti.com.

8. KALSTOP

Kalstop es el anti-calcáreo para equipos a

caldera, para el planchado o la limpieza a

vapor.

El uso constante de Kalstop en cada llenado

de agua en el depósito:

- Prolonga la vida útil del aparato.

- Hace que el vapor emitido sea más seco.

- Evita las incrustaciones de cal.

- Protege las paredes de la caldera.

- Contribuye al ahorro de energía.

Kalstop se vende en envases de 20 ampollas

en tiendas de electrodomésticos, en centros

de asistencia técnica autorizados de Polti o

en www.polti.com

9. CONSERVACIÓN

9.1 Apagar el aparato y desconectarlo de la

red eléctrica.

9.2 Esperar a que el producto se enfríe

completamente antes de rellenarlo.

ATENCIÓN: No llenar nunca la caldera en

cuanto se abre el tapón de seguridad con la

caldera aún caliente, aunque la toma de cor-

riente esté desconectada; el agua fría, en

contacto con la caldera caliente y vacía, se

evapora, provocando una salida de vapor

que podría causar quemaduras en contacto

con la piel; llenar sólo cuando la caldera está

fría y, en todo caso, cuando se realiza el lle-

nado mantener la cara siempre lejos de la

boca de la caldera.

ATENCIÓN: Vapor.

¡Peligro de quemaduras!

ATENCIÓN: Si al desenroscar el tapón éste

gira en vacío o se producen fugas de vapor,

interrumpir inmediatamente la operación

asegurándose de haber apagado la caldera

mediante el interruptor y de haber

desconectado el cable de alimentación de la

toma. Esperar a que el aparato se enfríe, (al

menos 2 horas) y desenroscar el tapón.

¡¡¡ALEJAR Y CUIDAR EL ROSTRO!!!

Cuando se plancha en seco, tener cuidado

de no pulsar el botón de salida de vapor, ya

que podría salir agua de la placa.

10. RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS

GARANTÍA

Este aparato está destinado a un uso

exclusivamente doméstico. Tiene garantía de

dos años a partir de la fecha de compra por

defectos de conformidad presentes en el

momento de la entrega de los bienes; la fecha

de compra debe ser comprobada con un

documento válido a efectos fiscales emitido

por el vendedor.

En caso de reparación, el aparato deberá ir

acompañado del comprobante fiscal de

compra.

La presente garantía no afecta a los derechos

del consumidor derivados de la Directiva

Europea 99/44/CE sobre algunos aspectos

de la venta y de las garantías sobre los bienes

de consumo, derechos que el consumidor

deberá hacer valer ante el propio vendedor.

La presente garantía es válida en los países

que acatan la Directiva Europea 99/44/CE.

En los otros países resultan válidas las

normativas locales en materia de garantía.

LA GARANTÍA CUBRE

Durante el periodo de garantía, Polti

garantiza la reparación gratuita de los

productos que presenten un defecto de

fabricación o un vicio de origen sin ningún

gasto para el cliente en lo que respecta a la

mano de obra o al material.

En caso de defectos no reparables, Polti

puede ofrecer al cliente la sustitución gratuita

del producto.

Para beneficiarse de la garantía, el

consumidor deberá dirigirse a uno de los

Centros de Asistencia Técnica Autorizados

de Polti con el justificante de compra

expedido por el vendedor a efectos fiscales,

que demostrará la fecha de compra del

producto. En ausencia del justificante de

compra del producto con la indicación de la

fecha de compra, las intervenciones correrán

a cargo del cliente. Conservar con cuidado el

justificante de compra durante todo el

periodo de la garantía.

LA GARANTÍA NO CUBRE

• Cada avería o daño que no derive de un

defecto de fabricación

• Las averías debidas a uso indebido y

diferente del indicado en el manual de

instrucciones, parte integrante del

contrato de venta del producto;

• Las averías provocadas por caso fortuito

(incendios, cortocircuitos) o por hechos

imputables a terceros (manipulaciones).

• Los daños causados por el uso de

componentes distintos de los originales

Polti o por reparaciones o alteraciones

efectuadas por personal o por centros de

asistencia no autorizados por Polti.

• Los daños causados por el usuario.

• Las piezas (filtros, cepillos, mangueras,

batería, etc.) dañadas por el consumo

(bienes fungibles) o por un desgaste

normal.

• Posibles daños causados por la cal.

• Averías debidas a falta de

mantenimiento/limpieza según las

instrucciones del fabricante.

• El montaje de accesorios no originales

Polti, modificados o no adaptados al

aparato.

El uso indebido y/o no conforme a las

instrucciones de uso y a cualquier otra

advertencia, disposición contenida en el

presente manual, invalida la garantía.

Polti declina toda responsabilidad por los

daños que puedan provocarse directamente

o indirectamente a personas, cosas o

animales a causa del incumplimiento de las

prescripciones indicadas en el manual de

instrucciones en lo que respecta a las

advertencias de uso y el mantenimiento del

producto.

• Niemals andere Demontage- oder Wartungsarbeiten

vornehmen, als in den vorliegenden Hinweisen angegeben.

Bei Defekten oder Störungen niemals auf eigene Initiative

Reparaturarbeiten vornehmen. Bei versehentlichem Stoß,

Fall, Schaden und Fallen ins Wasser des Geräts könnte dieses

• Das Bügeleisen darf nicht verwendet werden, wenn es fallen

gelassen wurde, offensichtliche Schäden aufweist oder wenn

Wasser austritt.

• Der Stecker muss aus der Steckdose gezogen werden, bevor

der Behälter/Kessel mit Wasser befüllt wird.

• Die Öffnung des Behälters/Kessels darf während der

Verwendung nicht geöffnet werden.

• Das Gerät steht während des Gebrauchs unter Druck. Bitte

entfernen Sie nicht den Sicherheitsverschluss des

Heizkessels.

• Bei jedweder Wartungs- oder Reinigungsarbeit mit Zugriff

auf den Dampfkessel sicherstellen, dass das Gerät mit dem

entsprechenden Schalter ausgeschaltet und seit mindestens

2 Stunden vom Stromnetz getrennt wurde.

• Das Gerät darf nicht unbeaufsichtigt sein, sobald es an das

Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.

• Das Bügeleisen muss auf einer stabilen Oberfläche verwendet

und abgestellt werden.

• Achten Sie beim Zurückstellen des Bügeleisens in seine

Halterung darauf, dass die Oberfläche, auf der sich die

Halterung befindet, stabil ist.

• Das Bügeleisen muss mit der im Lieferumfang inbegriffenen

Bügeleisenauflage verwendet werden (Fest fixiert oder

herausnehmbar).

• Dieses Gerät darf von Minderjährigen über 8 Jahren und von

Personen mit eingeschränkten körperlichen, sensorischen

oder mentalen Fähigkeiten nur nach vorheriger Einweisung

über den sicheren Gebrauch und nur nach vorheriger

Information über die Gefahren, die aus der Nutzung des

Gerätes herrühren, angewendet werden. Kinder dürfen mit

dem Gerät nicht spielen! Die Reinigung und Wartung des

Gerätes darf von Kindern nur im Beisein eines Erwachsenen

durchgeführt werden.

• Halten Sie das Gerät und das Kabel außerhalb der Reichweite

• Die Erdungsanlage und der hochempfindliche Fehlerstrom-

Schutzschalter mit Leitungsschutz Ihrer Haushalts-

Stromanlage sind eine Garantie für die sichere Verwendung

Ihrer Elektrogeräte.

Kontrollieren Sie daher für Ihre Sicherheit, dass die

Stromanlage, an die das Gerät angeschlossen ist, den

geltenden gesetzlichen Vorschriften entspricht.

• Das Gerät nicht an das Stromnetz anschließen, wenn die

Spannung (Volt) nicht der Spannung des verwendeten

Haushalts-Stromkreises entspricht.

• Die Steckdosen nicht durch Doppel- und/oder

Adapterstecker überlasten. Das Gerät nur an

Einzelsteckdosen anschließen, in die der mitgelieferte

Stecker passt.

• Keine nicht entsprechend bemessenen, nicht normgerechten

elektrischen Verlängerungskabel verwenden. Diese könnten

potenziell zu Überhitzung und damit verbundenem

Kurzschluss, Brand, Unterbrechung der Stromzufuhr und

Anlagenschaden führen. Ausschließlich zertifizierte und

entsprechend bemessene Verlängerungskabel verwenden,

die für 16A vorgesehen und geerdet sind.

• Bevor das Gerät vom Stromnetz getrennt wird, das Gerät

immer ausschalten.

• Um den Stecker von der Steckdose zu trennen, nicht am

Stromkabel ziehen, sondern direkt am Stecker herausziehen,

um die Steckdose und das Kabel nicht zu beschädigen.

• Immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose entfernen, wenn das

Gerät nicht in Betrieb ist bzw. vor jeder Vorbereitungs-,

Wartungs- und Reinigungsarbeit.

• Das Kabel komplett vom Kabelaufwickler abwickeln, bevor

das Gerät an das Stromnetz angeschlossen und in Betrieb

genommen wird. Das Gerät immer nur mit komplett

abgewickeltem Kabel verwenden.

• Nicht am Kabel oder am Dampfrohr ziehen, reißen oder

Spannungen aussetzen (verdrehen, quetschen oder dehnen).

Das Kabel und das Dampfrohr von heißen und/oder scharfen

Flächen und Teilen fernhalten. Vermeiden, dass das Kabel

und das Dampfrohr mit der heißen Bügeleisensohle in

Berührung kommen. Vermeiden, dass das Kabel und das

Dampfrohr durch Türen und Klappen gequetscht werden.

Das Kabel und das Dampfrohr nicht über Kanten ziehen.

Vermeiden, dass das Kabel und das Dampfrohr durch

Drauftreten gequetscht werden. Nicht über das Kabel und

das Dampfrohr steigen. Das Netzkabel und das Dampfrohr

nicht um das Gerät wickeln und besonders dann nicht, wenn

das Gerät heiß ist.

• Nicht den Stromkabelstecker auswechseln.

• Wenn das Kabel oder das Dampfrohr beschädigt sind,

müssen sie vom Hersteller, vom Kundendienst des Herstellers

oder von Fachpersonal ausgetauscht werden, um die

Sicherheit nicht zu gefährden. Das Gerät nicht verwenden,

wenn das Stromkabel oder das Dampfrohr beschädigt sind.

• Das Gerät nicht barfuß und/oder verwenden, wenn Körper

oder Füße nass sind.

• Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von mit Wasser gefüllten

Behältnissen, wie Spülbecken, Badewannen und

Schwimmbädern verwenden.

• Niemals das Gerät mit Kabel in Wasser oder andere

Flüssigkeiten tauchen.

• Der Dampf darf nicht auf Geräte mit elektrischen und/oder

elektronischen Bauteilen gerichtet werden.

GEFAHREN DURCH GEBRAUCH DES PRODUKTS –

VERLETZUNGEN / VERBRENNUNGEN

• Das Gerät darf nicht in Umgebungen mit Explosionsgefahr

und bei Vorhandensein von Giftstoffen verwendet werden.

• In den Wassertank und den Heizkessel dürfen keine

Giftstoffe, Säuren, Lösungsmittel, Reinigungsmittel, ätzende

Stoffe und/oder explosive Flüssigkeiten, Parfüms und

parfümiertes Wasser gefüllt werden.

• In den Wassertank und den Dampfkessel ausschließlich

Wasser oder Wassergemische füllen, wie in Kapitel

„Verwendung des richtigen Wassers im kessel“ beschrieben

ist.

• Den Dampfstrahl und das Bügeleisen nicht auf toxische

Substanzen richten. Gefährliche Stoffe müssen gemäß den

Angaben der jeweiligen Hersteller dieser Stoffe behandelt

und entfernt werden.

• Den Dampfstrahl und das Bügeleisen nicht auf toxische

Substanzen richten und/oder glühende Gegenstände

absaugen noch auf diese den Dampfstrahl richten.

• Den Dampfstrahl nie auf die Bügeleisenauflage und/oder auf

das Gerät richten.

• Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen, wie Kamine,

Öfen und Backöfen aufstellen.

• Die Öffnungen und Gitter am Gerät nicht verstopfen.

• Den Dampfstrahl und das Bügeleisen auf keinen Körperteil

von Personen und Tieren richten.

• Den Dampfstrahl und das Bügeleisen nicht auf am Körper

getragene Kleidungsstücke richten.

• Tücher, Lappen und Stoffe, die mit Tiefendampfreinigung

behandelt wurden, können sehr hohe Temperaturen über

100°C erreichen. Bitte seien Sie vorsichtig, wenn Sie mit dem

Gerät arbeiten.

• Bei der Verwendung das Gerät waagerecht halten und auf

stabile Oberflächen arbeiten.

• Nur auf hitzebeständigen, dampfdurchlässigen Flächen

bügeln.

• Sollte die Bügeleisenauflage ersetzt werden, nur

Originalersatzteile verwenden.

• Das Bügeleisen nicht ohne Bügeleisenauflage auf die

Abstellfläche stellen.

• Das heiße Gerät nicht auf hitzeempfindlichen Oberflächen

abstellen.

• Wenn im Sitzen gebügelt wird, darauf achten, dass der

Dampfstrahl nicht auf die eigenen Beine gerichtet ist. Der

Dampf könnte Verbrennungen verursachen.

• Vor dem Anschluss des Gerätes an den Strom sicherstellen,

dass der Knopf für die Ausgabe von permanentem Dampf

nicht eingerastet ist (wenn vorhanden).

• Das Gerät mit aktiviertem Dampf nicht unbeaufsichtigt

lassen.

• Vor dem Wegstellen nach dem Gebrauch abwarten, bis das

Gerät vollständig abgekühlt ist.

• Das Gerät immer mit dem mitgelieferten Sicherheitsversch-

luss oder einem Originalersatzteil verwenden. Die Verwen-

dung von nicht Originalverschlüssen der Firma Polti ist mit

Unfallgefahr verbunden.

• Bei jedwedem Zugriff auf den unter Druck stehenden

Dampfkessel (Abnahme der Kappe, Füllen) sicherstellen, dass

das Gerät mit dem entsprechenden Schalter ausgeschaltet

und zum Abkühlen seit mindestens 2 Stunden vom Strom-

netz getrennt wurde. Wenn der Dampfkessel eingeschaltet

und/oder heiß ist oder unter Druck steht, besteht Unfallge-

fahr.

• Das Gerät nicht anschließen, wenn der Sicherheitsverschluss

entfernt wurde. Sorgfältig den Sicherheitsverschluss zusch-

rauben, bevor der Stecker angeschlossen und das Gerät ein-

geschaltet wird.

• Vor dem Einschalten des Geräts sicherstellen, dass kein Ge-

genstand den Zulauf zum Dampfkessel verstopft (Füllflasche,

Trichter oder andere Gegenstände) und dass der Sicherheit-

sverschluss geschlossen ist.

• Sicherstellen, dass der Sicherheitsverschluss richtig zugesch-

raubt ist; im Fall von Dampfaustritt aus dem Verschluss den

Dampfkessel ausschalten, das Netzkabel trennen, 2 stunden

warten, bis das Gerät abgekühlt ist und den Verschluss ab-

schrauben. Den Zustand des Sicherheitsverschlusses und

dessen Dichtung kontrollieren. Wenn der Verschluss unver-

sehrt ist, diesen wieder komplett zuschrauben. Sollte weiter

Dampf am Verschluss entweichen, das Gerät zum nächsten

Kundendienstzentrum bringen.

• Regelmäßig den Zustand des Sicherheitsverschlusses und

dessen Dichtung kontrollieren. Bei Stoß und Fall könnte der

Verschluss nicht mehr sicher sein. Diesen durch ein Origina-

lersatzteil oder aber die Dichtung ersetzen.

• Sollte der Verschluss durchdrehen, ist das ein Zeichen, dass

noch Druck im Dampfkessel ist und dieser somit heiß ist. Nie-

mals den Verschluss mit Gewalt öffnen, weder wenn das

Gerät in Betrieb, noch wenn der Dampfkessel ausgeschaltet

und vom Stromnetz getrennt ist. Immer warten, bis der

Dampfkessel abgekühlt ist, um den Verschluss ohne Gewalt

zu öffnen.

• Kein Werkzeug verwenden, um den Verschluss zu lockern.

Sollte dieser auch bei kaltem Gerät nicht mehr zu entfernen

sein, wenden Sie sich bitte an ein autorisiertes Kundendienst-

zentrum.

• ACHTUNG Niemals den Dampfkessel füllen, sobald sich

der Sicherheitsverschluss öffnet und der Dampfkessel noch

heiß ist, auch wenn der Netzanschluss getrennt ist; kaltes

Wasser das den heißen, leeren Dampfkessel berührt, ver-

dampft und bewirkt einen Dampfstrahl, der bei Hautkontakt

Verbrennungen verursachen könnte; nur Wasser einfüllen,

wenn der Dampfkessel kalt ist und bei der Füllung auf jeden

Fall immer das Gesicht vom Zulauf des Dampfkessels fernhal-

ten.

• Die Verwendung von nicht Originalverschlüssen der Firma

Polti und die Missachtung der Hinweise und Anweisungen in

dieser Bedienungsanleitung ist unzulässig. Für eventuelle

Unfälle, die auf einen unsachgemäßen Gebrauch dieses

Geräts zurückzuführen sind, lehnt Polti S.p.A jegliche Haftung

ab.

SACHGEMÄSSE VERWENDUNG

DES PRODUKTS

Dieses Gerät ist als Bügeleisen für den

häuslichen Gebrauch geeignet mit separater

Bügelstation gemäß der

Produktbeschreibung in dieser

Bedienungsanleitung. Diese Anweisungen

bitte aufmerksam lesen und aufbewahren. Im

Fall des Verlusts kann die vorliegende

Gebrauchsanweisung auf der Webseite

www.poltide.de eingesehen bzw. von dieser

heruntergeladen werden.

Technische, optische und Herstellungsdaten

können von POLTI S.p.A. ohne Vorankündi-

gung geändert werden, wenn sich dies als

nützlich erweisen sollte.

Vor Verlassen der Fabrik werden alle unsere

Produkte strengen Abnahmen unterzogen.

Daher können im Vaporella bereits

Wasserreste vorhanden sein.

Unter bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch ist

nur die in der vorliegenden

Bedienungsanleitung beschriebene

Verwendung zu verstehen. Jedwede andere

Verwendung kann zur Beschädigung des

Geräts und zum Garantieverfall führen.

BENUTZERINFORMATIONEN

Gemäß EU-Richtlinie 2012/19/EU hinsichtlich

von Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten, das

Gerät nicht mit Hausmüll entsorgen, sondern

dieses zu einer offiziellen

Müllentsorgungsstelle bringen. Dieses

Produkt entspricht der EU-Richtlinie

2011/65/EU.

Das auf dem Gerät dargestellte

Symbol des durchgestrichenen

Mülleimers gibt an, dass das Produkt

am Ende seiner Nutzungsdauer

gesondert vom restlichen Müll zu entsorgen

ist. Der Benutzer muss daher das Altgerät zu

einem entsprechenden Entsorgungsbetrieb

für Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte bringen,

oder je nach den im jeweiligen Land

geltenden Vorschriften das Altgerät beim

Kauf eines ähnlichen Neugerätes beim

Händler abgeben. Die angemessene,

getrennte Müllsammlung für das

anschließende Recycling und somit die

umweltfreundliche Behandlung und

Entsorgung des nicht mehr verwendeten

Geräts trägt zur Vermeidung möglicher

schädlicher Wirkungen auf Umwelt und

Gesundheit bei und begünstigt das Recycling

der Materialien, aus denen das Produkt

zusammengesetzt ist. Eine unsachgemäße

Entsorgung des Geräts durch den Inhaber

wird entsprechend den geltenden

Vorschriften strafrechtlich verfolgt.

VERWENDUNG DES RICHTIGEN

WASSERS IM KESSEL

Vaporella wurde für den Betrieb mit

normalem Leitungswasser (Härtemittel

zwischen 8° und 20° fH) konzipiert. Sollte das

Leitungswasser sehr kalkhaltig sein, nicht

ausschließlich demineralisiertes Wasser

verwenden, sondern ein Gemisch aus 50 %

Leitungswasser und 50 % im Handel

erhältlichem demineralisiertem Wasser.

Hinweis: Erkundigen Sie sich beim

zuständigen Gemeindeamt oder beim lokalen

Wasserversorgungsamt über die Härte des

Wassers.

Wenn nur Leitungswasser verwendet wird,

kann die Kalkbildung mit dem speziellen

Entkalker mit natürlichen Grundstoffen

Kalstop (PAEU0094)

reduziert werden, der

von Polti vertrieben wird und in den besten

Haushaltsgeschäften oder über unsere

Website www.poltide.de erhältlich ist.

Kein destilliertes Wasser, nicht verdünntes

demineralisiertes Wasser, Regenwasser oder

Wasser mit Zusatzstoffen (wie z.B. Stärke,

Parfüm), parfümiertes Wasser oder Wasser

verwenden, das von anderen

Haushaltsgeräten, Wasserenthärtern oder

Wasserfilterkrügen erzeugt wird.

Keine chemischen, natürlichen Substanzen,

Reinigungsmittel, Kalklöser usw. in das Gerät

füllen.

1. VORBEREITUNG DES GERÄTS

1.1 Bitte stellen Sie die Bügelstation immer auf

eine stabile, gerade und hitzebeständige Un-

terfläche.

1.2 Die Rollbox von oben nach unten öffnen

(1).

1.3 Den Kabelhalter an das Gehäuse montie-

ren (2). Das Kabel des Bügeleisens und den

Schlauch der Dampfzufuhr durch die vorge-

sehene Halterung führen (2).

1.4 Den Sicherheitsverschluss abschrauben

und den Wasserkessel mittels dafür vorge-

sehenem Fülltrichter mit 1,3 l Wasser füllen

(sofern dieser komplett leer ist). Darauf ach-

ten, dass das Wasser nicht überläuft. Den Si-

cherheitsverschluss wieder vorsichtig zusch-

rauben und sicherstellen, dass er komplett

geschlossen ist (3).

Dafür zunächst den Netzstecker aus der

Steckdose ziehen und diesen Vorgang nur bei

kaltem Dampfkessel durchführen.

1.5 Das Stromkabel an die Netzsteckdose an-

schließen (4), welche die für dieses Gerät vor-

geschriebene Spannung und eine Erdschutz-

leitung hat (5).

1.6 Durch Drücken der Schalter Sie den Kes-

selschalter mit Kontrolllampe ( ) und den

Betriebsschalter mit Kontrolllampe Bügelei-

sen (6); Es leuchten das Druck-Kontrollli-

cht ( ) und das Kontrolllicht Eisen heizt.

2. REGULIERUNG DER

BüGELEISENTEMPERATUR

Vor dem Bügeln eines Kleidungsstücks,

sollten stets die sich auf dem Etikett

desselben befindlichen Symbole mit den vom

Hersteller gegebenen Pflegeanweisungen

überprüft werden. Kontrollieren Sie nach der

folgenden Tabelle, welche Bügelart am

besten geeignet ist und stellen Sie die

entsprechende Temperatur am Bügeleisen

ein (7):

3. DAMPFBÜGELN

3.1 Versichern Sie sich, dass Sie den Angaben

in Kapitel 1 gefolgt sind und regulieren Sie die

Temperatur des Bügeleisens gemäß Kapitel 2.

3.2 Warten bis sich die Dampfbereitschaft-

sanzeige ( ) und die Kontrollleuchte für das

Aufheizen des Bügeleisens ausschalten.

3.3 Regulieren Sie die Dampfintensität, indem

Sie den Regler im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, um

den Dampfstrahl zu erhöhen.

3.4 PDurch Drücken des Dampfknopfes (9)

auf dem Bügeleisen tritt Dampf aus den Lö-

chern in der Bügelsohle aus. Bei Loslassen

dieser Taste wird der Dampfstrom unterbro-

chen.

3.5 Für einen kontinuierlichen Dampfstrahl

die Taste (10) nach vorne schieben. Auch

wenn die Taste losgelassen wird, tritt der

Dampf weiterhin aus . Um den Dampfstrahl zu

beenden, die gleiche Taste nach hinten schie-

ben (10).

ACHTUNG: Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme

des Dampfstrahls können infolge der nicht

erfolgten Temperaturstabilisierung ein paar

Tropfen Wasser-Dampf-Gemisch austreten.

Daher den ersten Dampfstrahl auf ein Tuch

richten.

ACHTUNG: Auffüllflasche oder Trichter auf

keinen Fall in dem Einfüllstützen eingsteckt

lassen, wenn das Gerät an dem Stromnetz

angeschlossen ist, um Verbrennungsgefahr

zu vermeiden.

ACHTUNG: Im Fall von Dampfaustritt am

Sicherheitsverschluss das Gerät ausschalten

und das Netzkabel vom Stromnetz trennen. 2

Stunden warten, damit das Gerät auskühlen

kann, bevor der Verschluss gelöst und wieder

verschraubt wird.

Hohe Temperaturen: -Baumwolle, Leinen:

ACHTUNG: Beim Bügeln mit niedrigen

Temperaturen sollte man keinen Dampf

verwenden, da anstelle von Dampf Wasser

aus den dafür vorgesehen Öffnungen an der

Bügelsohle des Bügeleisens austreten kann.

Beim Bügeln auf mittleren Temperaturen

wechseln Sie zwischen Trockenbügeln und

Dampfbügeln zwischendurch, um zu

verhindern, dass Wasser anstelle von Dampf

austritt.

Sortieren Sie die Bügelwäsche gemäß der

Etikettierung der Kleidungsstücke oder

nach Textilart. Bügeln Sie zunächst die

Wäsche, die sich mit niedrigen

Temperaturen bügeln lässt, um die

Wartezeiten beim Aufheizen zu verkürzen

und um zu vermeiden, dass gegebenfalls

Kleidungsstücke durch zu große Hitze

beschädigt werden.

Die Kontrollleuchten für das Aufheizen des

Bügeleisens und Dampfbereitschafts-

Anzeig gehen während der Verwendung an

und aus. Dies weist darauf hin, dass sich der

elektrische Widerstand angeschaltet hat,

um eine konstante Temperatur des

Wasserkessels beizubehalten. Da dies

normal ist, kann der Bügelvorgang ganz

normal fortgesetzt werden.

ACHTUNG: Die Bügeleisenstation verfügt

über eine Abstellfläche, die mit einem

hitzeresistenten und Antirutsch-Material

beschichtet ist.

4. VERTIKALES BÜGELN

Es ist möglich, dass Bügeleisen in vertikaler

Position einzusetzen, um Falten zu entfernen

oder um die Fasern aufzufrischen und even-

tuelle unangenehme Gerüche aus den Texti-

lien zu entfernen. Halten Sie das Eisen in ver-

tikaler Position und drücken Sie den

Dampfschalter. Wenn die Textilie nicht zu

empfindlich ist, können Sie sie auch leicht mit

der Bügelsohle berühren.

5. TROCKENBÜGELN

5.1 Sicherstellen, dass die Anweisungen in Ka-

pitel 1 durchgeführt wurden. Den Kesselschal-

ter ausgeschaltet lassen, die Temperatur des

Bügeleisens (7), wie in Kapitel 2 beschrieben,

einstellen.

6. FEHLEN VON WASSER

Ein Wassermangel im Tank wird durch das

Aufleuchten der Leuchtanzeige Wasserman-

gel angezeigt ( ).

Um den Reinigungsvorgang fortsetzen zu

können, wie folgt vorgehen:

• Den Kesselschalter ausschalten.

• Den Dampfknopf am Bügeleisen betätigen,

bis kein Dampf mehr austritt.

• Den Schalter des Bügeleisens ausschalten.

•

Das Netzkabel vom Stromversorgungsnetz

trennen.

• 10 Minuten warten und den Sicherheitsver-

schluss ohne Gewalt lockern und abneh-

men.

• Das Gerät mindestens 10 Minuten lang

abkühlen lassen.

• Den Kessel wie im Kapitel 1 angegeben fül-

len.

• Den Sicherheitsverschluss wieder vorsich-

tig zuschrauben und sicherstellen, dass er

komplett geschlossen ist.

7. ALLGEMEINE WARTUNG

Vor jeder Wartungsmaßnahme stets den

Netzstecker abziehen und sicherstellen, dass

das Gerät abgekühlt ist.

Um das Gerät außen zu reinigen, nur ein mit

Leitungswasser befeuchtetes Tuch verwen-

den.

Auf keinen Fall irgendwelche Reinigungsmit-

tel verwenden.

Reinigen Sie die Bügelsohle mit einem wei-

chen Tuch oder Schwamm nur wenn sie ab-

gekühlt ist.

Für eine optimale Instandhaltung der Bügel-

station empfehlen wir das Produkt Kalstop,

ein spezielles Produkt, basierend auf dem

natürlichen Entkalker Kalstop, speziellen

Entkalker mit natürlichen Grundstoffen Kal-

stop reduziert werden, der von Polti vertrie-

ben wird und in den besten Haushaltsge-

schäften oder über unsere Website

www.polti.com erhältlich ist.

8. KALSTOP

Kalstop ist der Kalklöser für

Dampfkesselgeräte zum Dampfbügeln und

Dampfreinigen.

Die regelmäßige Anwendung von Kalstop bei

jedem Befüllen des Wassertanks:

- Verlängert die Lebensdauer des Gerätes.

- Lässt trockeneren Dampf austreten.

- Beugt Kalkablagerungen vor.

- Schützt die Kesselwände.

- Trägt zur Energieeinsparung bei.

Kalstop ist in Packungen von 20 Ampullen in

Kundendienstzentren oder unter

ACHTUNG: Niemals den Dampfkessel füllen,

sobald sich der Sicherheitsverschluss öffnet

und der Dampfkessel noch heiß ist, auch

wenn der Netzanschluss getrennt ist; kaltes

Wasser, das den heißen, leeren Dampfkessel

berührt, verdampft und bewirkt einen

Dampfstrahl, der bei Hautkontakt

Verbrennungen verursachen könnte; nur

Wasser einfüllen, wenn der Dampfkessel kalt

ist und bei der Füllung auf jeden Fall immer

das Gesicht vom Zulauf des Dampfkessels

fernhalten.

ACHTUNG: Dampf.

Verbrennungsgefahr!

Wird ohne Dampf gebügelt, darauf achten,

dass nicht versehentlich die Taste Damp-

fabgabe gedrückt wird, da Wasser aus der

Sohle austreten könnte.

ACHTUNG: Sollte beim Abschrauben der

Verschluss durchdrehen oder Dampf

austreten, sofort den Vorgang unterbrechen

und sicherstellen, dass der Dampfkessel mit

dem Schalter ausgeschaltet und das

Netzkabel aus der Steckdose entfernt wurde.

Warten Sie daher, bis das Gerät abgekühlt ist

(mindestens 2 Stunden) und schrauben Sie

den Verschluss ab. AUF DAS GESICHT

strahl gegen einen Stofflappen, bis

wirklich Dampf austritt.

Es tritt kein Dampf aus.

Keine Stromversorgung / der

Kesselschalter und der Schal-

ter des Bügeleisens sind au-

sgeschaltet.

Kontrollieren, dass das Gerät an die

Stromversorgung angeschlossen ist

und die Kesselschalter und der Schalter

des Bügeleisens gedrückt sind.

Wasser muss nachgefüllt

werden.

Kontrollieren, dass Wasser im Kessel ist

und die dazugehörige Kontrollleuchte

nicht eingeschaltet ist. Wie im Kapitel 6

beschrieben vorgehen.

Es tritt nur eine geringe

Dampfmenge aus.

Der Dampf ist extrem heiß

und damit kaum sichtbar

aber absolut effizient.

Ein normales Phänomen, dass in be-

stimmten klimatischen Verhältnissen

auftauchen kann, wenn die Raumtem-

peratur z.B. sehr hoch ist. (Hohe Tem-

peratur / Niedrige Umgebungsfeuch-

tigkeit).

Auf den Kleidungstücken

zeigen sich Wasserflecken.

Der Bezug des Bügeltischs

ist wasserabweisend und ei-

gnet sich nicht für ein

Dampfbügeleisen.

Kontrollieren, dass das Bügelbrett geei-

gnet ist (Bügelbrett mit Lochgitter zum

Verhindern von Kondenswasser).

GARANTIE

Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich für den

Hausgebrauch bestimmt. Die Garantie für

Konformitätsmängel bei Lieferung der Ware

beträgt zwei Jahre ab dem Kaufdatum. Das

Kaufdatum muss durch eine vom Verkäufer

ausgestellte Rechnung belegt werden.

Falls das Gerät repariert werden muss, so

muss der Kaufbeleg mit eingeschickt werden.

Die vorliegende Garantie beeinträchtigt nicht

die Verbraucherrechte aus der EU-Richtlinie

99/44/EG hinsichtlich einiger

Verkaufsaspekte und der Garantie für

Verbrauchsgüter. Diese Rechte darf der

Verbraucher ausschließlich gegenüber dem

eigentlichen Verkäufer geltend machen.

Die vorliegende Garantie ist in den Ländern

gültig, in denen die EU-Richtlinie 99/44/EG

gilt. In allen anderen Ländern gelten die

lokalen Garantievorschriften.

WAS IST VON DER GARANTIE ABGEDECKT

Während der Garantiezeit gewährleistet Polti

bei Produkten mit Herstellungs- oder

Fabrikationsfehlern die kostenlose Reparatur

ohne eine Belastung des Kunden durch

Arbeitskraft oder Material.

Falls irreparable Mängel bestehen, so kann

Polti dem Kunden den kostenlosen Ersatz des

Produktes anbieten.

Um einen Garantieeingriff durchführen zu

lassen, muss sich der Verbraucher an eine der

durch Polti autorisierten technischen

Kundendienststellen wenden. Die vom

Verkäufer ausgestellte Rechnung, die das

Kaufdatum des Produktes enthält, muss

vorgelegt werden. Bei fehlendem Kaufbeleg

für das Produkt mit dem entsprechenden

Kaufdatum müssen die Reparaturkosten vom

Kunden getragen werden. Den Kaufbeleg für

die gesamte Garantiefrist sorgfältig

aufbewahren.

WAS IST NICHT VON DER GARANTIE

ABGEDECKT

• Defekte und Schäden, die nicht auf

Fabrikationsfehler zurückzuführen sind.

• Schäden durch unsachgemäßen und nicht

in der vorliegenden Bedienungsanleitung

angegebenen Gebrauch, die ein

integrierender Bestandteil des

Kaufvertrags des Produkts ist.

• Schäden durch Zufälle (Brand,

Kurzschluss) oder Vorfälle, die Dritten

zuzuschreiben sind (Eingriffe).

• Schäden durch den Einsatz von nicht

original Polti-Komponenten sowie

Reparaturen oder Veränderungen, die

von nicht durch Polti autorisierten

Personen oder Kundendienststellen

ausgeführt wurden.

• Schäden, die vom Kunden verursacht

wurden.

• Teile (Filter, Bürsten, Batterie, Schläuche

usw.), die durch den Gebrauch beschädigt

wurden (Verschleißteile) oder durch die

normale Nutzung.

• Etwaige Schäden durch

Kalkablagerungen.

• Schäden durch nicht erfolgte Wartung /

Reinigung gemäß der

Bedienungsanleitung des Herstellers.

• Anbringung von nicht Original-

Zubehörteilen der Firma Polti sowie

veränderten oder nicht geeigneten

Zubehörteilen an das Gerät.

Die unsachgemäße und/oder nicht der

Bedienungsanleitung bzw. anderen

Hinweisen und Vorschriften entsprechende

Verwendung des Geräts führt zum

Garantieverfall.

Polti lehnt jede Haftung für eventuelle

Schäden ab, die direkt oder indirekt

Personen, Sachen, Tieren aufgrund

mangelnder Einhaltung der in der

Gebrauchsanleitung enthaltenen

Anweisungen entstanden sind. Hierzu zählen

die Gebrauchs- und Wartungshinweise für

das Produkt.
