02.1. Utilización del manual
El manual proporciona instrucciones de uso y mantenimiento del producto, así como
aspectos técnicos, funcionamiento, repuestos y seguridad.
Se recomienda antes de poner en funcionamiento el producto, se lea detenidamente este
manual independientemente del nivel de experiencia adquirido en el pasado con dispositivos
similares, para evitar deterioros a causa de una mala utilización.
No pierda este documento. Debe estar accesible a cualquier consulta que pudiera surgir por
parte del personal sanitario. En caso de instrucciones de uso relacionadas con otro producto
que no sea el producto recibido, es necesario ponerse inmediatamente en contacto con el
fabricante antes de utilizar el producto.
Recuerde, un buen uso y mantenimiento son necesarios para el buen funcionamiento del
producto.
Cada producto lleva incorporada una etiqueta adhesiva identificativa con el número de serie
y el modelo. Conserve estos números para poderlos indicar al distribuidor en caso necesario.
02.2. Leyenda de símbolos
SÍMBOLO
EXPLICACIÓN / DESCRIPCIÓN
Símbolo FABRICANTE. Este símbolo va acompañado del nombre y dirección del
fabricante, adyacente al símbolo (PRODUCTOS METÁLICOS DEL BAGES S.L.,
Ctra. C-16 Km 59,5, 08650 Sallent (Barcelona)).
Indica el número de referencia del fabricante para poder identificar el producto
sanitario. PROMEBA, S.L. utiliza este símbolo para establecer cada referencia
interna para cada configuración y variante comercial.
Indica el número de serie del fabricante para poder identificar un producto
sanitario específico.
Indica la fecha de fabricación. El símbolo debe ir acompañado de una fecha de
fabricación (669-*-8*-7/6ÇNGNG87N87U8U8YYUYY7Y76), adyacente al
símbolo.
Se coloca para informar que el producto es un “Dispositivo Médico”.
Símbolo CE sin la intervención de un Organismo Notificado, como Producto
Sanitario clasificado como Clase I según el Reglamento UE 2017/745 de
Productos Sanitarios
Símbolo para el Código de Identificación Única o Device Identifier
Símbolo “Consúltense las instrucciones de uso o instrucciones de
funcionamiento”.
Símbolo “precaución”. Este símbolo se coloca para advertir sobre la necesidad
de que el usuario consulte información precautoria en las instrucciones de
funcionamiento.
Símbolo de residuos de aparatos eléctricos y electrónicos “WEEE” (Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Reciclar: Equipo electrónico. NO TIRAR A

Símbolo “Voltaje peligroso”. Para advertir de la electricidad.
Símbolo “Precaución”. Para una advertencia general
Símbolo de “Doble aislamiento”. La protección de los aparatos marcados con este
símbolo está garantizada mediante un aislamiento doble y no requiere una
conexión eléctrica de seguridad a tierra (masa).
Ciclo de trabajo de la silla: 16,7% (menos de 60 segundos encendido, más de
300 segundos apagado)
Peligro: “Aplastamiento de manos”
Indica los límites de temperatura. Los límites superior e inferior de temperatura
se deben indicar adyacente a las líneas horizontales.
02.3. Atención al cliente

Siempre que quiera comunicar cualquier asunto relacionado con un producto, se le pedirá la
referencia del producto ( ) y el número de serie ( ). Se recomienda encarecidamente
conservar la etiqueta que contiene esta información y que se encuentra en el embalaje
original del producto.
02.4. Vida útil
Si se usa como se describe en las siguientes instrucciones, este dispositivo tiene una
vida útil de 10 años a partir de la fecha de compra.
Esta vida útil puede extenderse con revisiones anuales realizadas por el fabricante, que
utiliza técnicos internos y externos especializados y autorizados.
En caso de que no se realicen estas revisiones anuales, el dispositivo debe ser eliminado
de acuerdo con la información del párrafo 02.5 y se debe notificar al fabricante.
Únicamente el fabricante o un centro autorizado pueden extender la vida útil del dispositivo,
en el caso de que este cumpla los requisitos de seguridad.
Promeba, S.L. no aceptará ninguna responsabilidad por el funcionamiento incorrecto o los
daños causados por el uso de dispositivos que no hayan sido revisados por el fabricante o
centro autorizado, o que hayan excedido la vida útil máxima permitida.

02.5. Eliminación
Cuando los dispositivos ya no sean aptos para su uso, si no han sido contaminados por
ningún agente en particular, pueden eliminarse como residuos electrónicos o eléctricos
normales; de lo contrario, siga las normas de eliminación vigentes.
ADVERTENCIAS PARA LA ELIMINACIÓN CORRECTA DEL PRODUCTO DE
ACUERDO CON LA DIRECTIVA CE 2012/19 / EU WEEE:
Al final de su vida, el producto no debe desecharse como desecho doméstico.
Puede ser llevado a centros de reciclaje especiales provistos por el gobierno
local, o devolverlo al distribuidor al comprar un nuevo dispositivo del mismo tipo
y usarlo para las mismas funciones. Desechar el producto por separado evita
posibles consecuencias negativas para el medio ambiente y la salud humana
como resultado de una eliminación inadecuada y permite recuperar los
materiales para obtener ahorros significativos en energía y recursos. El símbolo
en la etiqueta indica una colección separada de equipos eléctricos y
electrónicos.

Como distribuidor o usuario final de los productos fabricados y/o comercializados por Promeba, S.L.,
está estrictamente obligado a conocer las disposiciones legales vigentes en el país de destino de las
mercancías, aplicable a los dispositivos que se subministrarán (incluidas las reglamentaciones
relativas a especificaciones técnicas y / o requisitos de seguridad) y, por tanto, comprender los
requisitos necesarios para asegurar el cumplimiento de los propios productos con todos los requisitos
legales del territorio.
Una eliminación incorrecta de equipos eléctricos y electrónicos podría dar
lugar a sanciones.

02.7. Etiquetado
Cada producto incorpora una etiqueta de identificación, colocada en el propio dispositivo y/o
en el embalaje original del producto. Nunca debe quitarse ni cubrirse. Esta etiqueta incluye
los datos de identificación del fabricante ( ), el código / referencia ( ) del producto, la
fecha de fabricación ( ), el número de serie ( ), el código UDI-PI ( ) y el distintivo CE
( ). Debe conservar esta etiqueta para que pueda informar al distribuidor si es necesario.
El código UDI-PI se compone de los siguientes campos:
- (01)08437001519163: código UDI del producto.
- (11)231009: proporciona información sobre la fecha de liberación del lote siguiendo
el formato aammdd, donde aa es el año de liberación, mm es el mes y dd es el día.
- (21)01554823001: identifica el número de serie del producto proporcionando
información sobre el número de orden de fabricación (0155) incluyendo también la
semana (4823) i un número correlativo en función de las unidades que se ha
producido en aquella of (001).

03.1. Finalidad prevista
La familia de productos SILLA ELÉCTRICA está concebido para trasladar pacientes (de más
de 40kg) sin esfuerzo en entornos hospitalarios y pre-hospitalarios gracias a su función
eléctrica de transporte en la subida cargar y descargar camillas de transporte en vehículos
de emergencia a la vez que dan soporte quedando ancladas durante el movimiento del
vehículo.
03.2. Contraindicaciones y efectos adversos
No se han detectado contraindicaciones o efectos adversos derivadas del análisis clínico de
la familia de productos SILLA ELÉCTRICA.
03.3. Requisitos físicos de los operadores
Las sillas eléctricas Promeba están destinados exclusivamente a uso profesional. Cada
operador debe estar formado para transportar a los pacientes de forma segura y eficiente.
No permita que personas no capacitadas ayuden durante el uso del producto, ya que pueden
causar lesiones a otras personas o a sí mismas. Se prevé que el dispositivo sea usado por
personal técnico de transporte sanitario o técnico de ambulancias que tenga conocimientos
y experiencia con el transporte de pacientes.
Los operadores deben ser capaces de proporcionar la asistencia necesaria al paciente.
Los usuarios deben ser capaces de levantar y manipular con seguridad el peso del conjunto
constituido por la silla, el paciente y cualquier otro equipo utilizado con el dispositivo.
Para las técnicas de carga del paciente, para pacientes particularmente pesados, para
intervenciones en terrenos escarpados o en circunstancias particulares e inusuales, se
recomienda la presencia de varios operadores (no solo 1 como se prevé en condiciones
estándar).
Los operadores deben poder evaluar cualquier anomalía del sistema / conjunto comunicando
el problema a los responsables e interrumpiendo el uso de los dispositivos en caso que sea
necesario para garantir la seguridad del paciente.
Se deben considerar las capacidades de los distintos operadores antes de
determinar su papel.

04.1. Advertencias generales
1. El producto debe ser utilizado únicamente por personal capacitado, que haya
asistido a una formación específica para este dispositivo y no para productos
similares.
2. Establecer un programa de mantenimiento y de controles periódicos e identificar
un encargado de referencia. El sujeto que se encarga del mantenimiento ordinario
del dispositivo debe garantizar los requisitos básicos que prevé el fabricante en estas
instrucciones para el uso. Se recomienda que el sujeto verifique al menos cada 6
meses si hay manuales de usuario actualizados disponibles o si hay algún cambio
relacionado con su producto. Esta información está disponible gratuitamente en el
sitio web http://promeba.com/.
3. Todas las actividades de mantenimiento deben registrarse y documentarse con los
informes de intervención técnica relacionados y la documentación deberá
mantenerse al menos durante 10 años a partir del final de vida útil del dispositivo y
deberá ponerse a disposición de las Autoridades competentes y/o del fabricante,
cuando la soliciten.
4. Promeba, S.L. está siempre a su disposición para planificar formaciones de
productos.
5. Antes de realizar cualquier tipo de operación en el producto (formación, instalación,
uso), el operador debe leer atentamente las instrucciones adjuntas, prestando
especial atención a las precauciones de seguridad y a los procedimientos a seguir
para su instalación y uso correcto.
6. Si las instrucciones pertenecen a otro dispositivo y no al dispositivo recibido,
informe al fabricante inmediatamente y evite el uso del dispositivo.
7. En caso de dudas sobre la correcta interpretación de las instrucciones, póngase
en contacto con Promeba, S.L. para cualquier aclaración necesaria.
8. No permita que personas no formadas ayuden durante el uso del dispositivo, ya
que podrían causar daños al paciente o a sí mismos.
9. Antes de cada uso del dispositivo, se debe verificar el perfecto estado de
funcionamiento del dispositivo como se especifica en el manual de instrucciones. Si
se detectan daños o anomalías que puedan influir de alguna manera en el correcto
funcionamiento y la seguridad del dispositivo, del paciente y/o del usuario, el
dispositivo debe retirarse inmediatamente del servicio y ponerse en contacto con el
fabricante.
10. Si se detecta algún fallo o funcionamiento incorrecto del dispositivo, se debe
sustituir inmediatamente por un artículo similar para que los procedimientos de
inmovilización y rescate estén garantizados sin ninguna interrupción.
11. Se prohíbe el uso del dispositivo de cualquier forma distinta a la descrita en este
manual.
12. No altere ni modifique de ninguna manera el producto; cualquier interferencia de
este tipo podría causar fallos de funcionamiento y lesiones al paciente y/o al operario.

13. El producto no debe ser manipulado de ninguna manera (modificación, ajuste,
adición, sustitución). En tales casos, se negará toda responsabilidad por cualquier
mal funcionamiento o lesiones causadas por el propio producto; además, la
certificación CE y la garantía del producto se considerarán nulas.
14. Usar solo componentes/repuestos y/o accesorios originales o aprobados por
PROMEBA para efectuar todas las operaciones sin causar alteraciones o
modificaciones en el dispositivo; de lo contrario, se declina cualquier responsabilidad
por el funcionamiento
15. Asegúrese de que se toman todas las precauciones necesarias para evitar los
peligros que pueden surgir como resultado del contacto con sangre o fluidos
corporales.
16. Registre y almacene con estas instrucciones: número de lote, lugar y fecha de
compra, primera fecha de uso, fecha de verificación, nombre de los usuarios y
cualquier comentario.
17. Durante el uso del dispositivo, se debe garantizar la asistencia de personal
cualificado.
18. El producto no debe exponerse, ni entrar en contacto con fuentes térmicas de
combustión y con agentes inflamables, sino que debe almacenarse en un lugar seco,
fresco, protegido contra la luz y los rayos del sol.
19. Almacene y transporte el dispositivo en su embalaje original.
20. No almacenar el producto debajo de otros materiales más o menos pesados, que
pueden dañar la estructura del producto.
21. Atención: las pruebas de laboratorio, las pruebas de posproducción y los
manuales de instrucciones no siempre pueden considerar todos los escenarios
posibles de uso. Esto significa que en algunos casos el rendimiento del producto
podría ser notablemente diferente de los resultados obtenidos hasta la fecha. Las
instrucciones se actualizan continuamente y están bajo estricta vigilancia de personal
totalmente calificado con la formación técnica adecuada.
22. Como distribuidor o usuario final de productos fabricados y/o comercializados por
Promeba, S.L., es estrictamente necesario que tenga un conocimiento básico de
cualquier requisito legal existente en el país de destino final de la mercancía que se
aplique a los dispositivos contenidos en este suministro (incluidas las leyes y normas
relativas a especificaciones técnicas y/o requisitos de seguridad) y, por lo tanto,
también está estrictamente obligado a tener los conocimientos necesarios para
garantizar todos los aspectos relacionados con la total conformidad de los productos
con la normativa del territorio correspondiente.
23. Notifique de inmediato a Promeba, S.L. con respecto a las revisiones que deba
realizar el fabricante para garantizar la conformidad del producto con las
especificaciones legales del territorio (incluidas las que resulten de reglas y/o normas
de otra naturaleza).
24. Actúe con el debido cuidado y diligencia, y contribuya a asegurar la conformidad
con los requisitos generales de seguridad de todos los dispositivos comercializados
en el territorio, proporcionando a los usuarios finales toda la información necesaria

para realizar los controles periódicos de sus dispositivos, según se especifica en el
manual de usuario.
25. Contribuya activamente a los controles de seguridad de los productos vendidos,
comunicando cualquier información relevante de análisis de riesgos tanto al
fabricante como a las autoridades competentes para que se puedan tomar las
medidas necesarias con prontitud.
26. Sea consciente de que, en caso de incumplimiento de los requisitos mencionados
anteriormente, se le considerará plenamente responsable de todos los daños que
puedan ocurrir. Por lo tanto, renunciamos expresamente a cualquier responsabilidad
y/u obligación por el incumplimiento de las presentes “Disposiciones reglamentarias”.
27. Seguir los procedimientos y los protocolos internos aprobados por su
organización.
28. Seguir los procedimientos aprobados por el Servicio Médico de Emergencia para
la inmovilización y el transporte del paciente.
04.2. Advertencias específicas
1. Utilice solo accesorios/repuestos que sean originales o aprobados por Promeba,
S.L. al realizar cualquier operación para no causar ninguna alteración o modificación
en el dispositivo, de lo contrario no asumimos ninguna responsabilidad por el correcto
funcionamiento o daño resultante del dispositivo al paciente o al operador y la
garantía se considerará nula, así como la conformidad con el Reglamento 2017/745.
2. Respete siempre la capacidad máxima del dispositivo, como se indica en este
manual de usuario. La capacidad de carga máxima significa el peso total distribuido
de acuerdo con la anatomía humana. Al determinar la carga del peso total sobre el
producto, el operador debe considerar el peso del paciente, el equipo y los
accesorios. Además, el operador debe considerar que las dimensiones generales del
paciente no reducen la funcionalidad del dispositivo.
3. Dentro de la ambulancia, coloque y ajuste el dispositivo teniendo cuidado de no
obstruir otras partes u otros equipos. Se recomienda no abrir el equipo dentro de la
ambulancia, sino realizarlo en el exterior del vehículo.
4. Nunca deje al paciente desatendido en el dispositivo, ya que puede resultar
lesionado.
5. No use lejía para desinfectar el producto. Use un desinfectante con base
hidroalcohólica y lave con agua.
6. El dispositivo y todos sus componentes, después del lavado, deben dejarse secar
completamente antes de guardarlos. No usar secadoras para secar el dispositivo.
7. Evite el contacto con objetos afilados.
8. No utilice el dispositivo si está perforado, deformado o con signos de pérdida de
integridad.
9. No opere en caso de que el peso no se haya distribuido correctamente.

10. La condensación, el agua, el hielo y las acumulaciones de polvo pueden afectar
el correcto funcionamiento del dispositivo, haciéndolo impredecible.
11. Inmovilizar siempre el paciente durante el transporte. No hacerlo puede provocar
la caída del paciente.
12. No use el dispositivo como soporte para trepar o apoyarse y llegar a puntos
elevados de la ambulancia. El producto puede dañarse y el técnico o el paciente
pueden sufrir daños.
13. Las actividades de desinfección deben ser realizadas de conformidad con los
parámetros de ciclo validados, indicados en las normas técnicas específicas.
14. Promeba S.L. no se hace responsable en caso de utilizar cierres distintos de los
autorizados o que sean incompatibles con el modelo utilizado.
15. No dejar sin cargar más de 2 MESES las baterías. Podrían dejar de funcionar.
16. Una carga incorrecta de la silla puede provocar daños y/o lesiones. Usar sólo
baterías aprobadas y autorizadas por Promeba S.L. y recargue únicamente con
cargadores homologados y autorizados por Promeba S.L.
17. No use la silla con el carro de la oruga sin estar correctamente bloqueado ya que
puede causar daños y/o lesiones. Asegúrese de haber bloqueado correctamente el
carro de la oruga antes de mover al paciente.
18. No sobrepase la capacidad máxima permitida por la silla. Sobrepasarla puede
causar deformaciones al producto o daños al paciente.
19. No lubrique la silla cuando esté conectada a la red eléctrica.
20. En maniobras de subida y bajada repetidamente de hasta 10 ciclos
ininterrumpidamente se debe realizar una parada obligatoria durante al menos 15
segundos para que el sistema moto-reductor de la silla eléctrica se recupere.
21. Usar siempre ambas manos para transportar la silla para evitar el riesgo de
volcado.
22. Prestar plena atención al equipo y el paciente durante la realización del servicio.
04.3. Riesgos residuales
Los riesgos residuales que se enumeran a continuación se han identificado únicamente con
referencia al uso previsto del dispositivo:
1. Un paciente sin asistencia corre riesgo de sufrir lesiones. Nunca dejar el paciente
solo y ayudarlo siempre durante el uso de la silla.
2. La operación realizada por personal no cualificado, podría provocar daños tanto al
paciente como al personal que realiza la operación.

06.1. Transporte y almacenamiento
Antes de transportar el producto, asegúrese de que
esté correctamente embalado. Durante el transporte,
fije siempre la carga. Si es necesario apilar, siga
siempre el esquema que se muestra en la figura 1.
Transporte la carga nivelada y siguiendo todos los
preceptos y reglas para el transporte de cargas,
asegurándose también que no existen riesgos de
golpes o caídas durante el propio transporte.
Para desembalar el dispositivo, coloque la caja sobre
una superficie plana y estable y abra con cuidado el
precinto. Retire el dispositivo del interior de la caja
siguiendo el esquema que se muestra en la figura 2.
Conserve el embalaje original para utilizarlo en caso
de cualquier otro transporte y para su
almacenamiento.
Los daños en el producto causados durante el
transporte y la manipulación no están cubiertos por la
garantía. La reparación o sustitución de las piezas
dañadas es responsabilidad del cliente.
El dispositivo debe almacenarse en un lugar fresco y
seco, alejado de la luz solar directa. No debe estar en contacto con sustancias o agentes
químicos que puedan causar daños y reducir sus prestaciones de seguridad.
La temperatura de almacenamiento debe de estar entre -20ºC hasta 60ºC.
06.2. Preparación
Al recibir el producto:
- Verificar que el embalaje está intacto y no presenta signos de impactos, caídas y no
está mojado.
- Retire el embalaje y exponga el material de modo que todos los componentes sean
visibles.
- Compruebe que todos los componentes/piezas del apartado 5 estén presentes.
El dispositivo debe ser revisado antes de cada uso para revelar cualquier anomalía de
funcionamiento y/o daños causados por el transporte y/o almacenamiento. En particular,
verifique:
Funcionalidad general del dispositivo.
El producto no debe ser manipulado de ninguna manera (modificación, ajuste, adición,
sustitución). En tales casos, se negará toda responsabilidad por cualquier mal
funcionamiento o lesiones causadas por el propio producto; además, la certificación CE y
la garantía del producto se considerarán nulas.

Las correas de la oruga corren y tienen la tensión correcta para su uso

Los reposabrazos suben y bajan correctamente
Las manetas de transporte abren, cierran y se bloquean correctamente.
Las empuñaduras telescópicas abren, cierran y se bloquean correctamente
Presencia de todo el etiquetado
Lubricación de partes móviles.
El vehículo de emergencia está equipado con un sistema de sujeción para la silla PS-
190.
Si se cumplen las condiciones anteriores, el dispositivo puede considerarse listo para su uso;
de lo contrario, debe retirarse inmediatamente del servicio y ponerse en contacto con el
fabricante.
Antes de instalarlo, asegurarse que:
El vehículo en el que desea instalar el dispositivo esté fabricado de conformidad con
la norma EN 1789.
La ambulancia es capaz de almacenar el soporte de la silla.
El suelo de instalación está perfectamente plano. Superficies no planas o partes del
suelo no perfectamente niveladas, podrían comprometer el correcto funcionamiento
del producto.
Se respeta la distancia entre la puerta de la ambulancia y el soporte. No respetar
dicha distancia podría interferir con los movimientos del dispositivo con
consecuencias para su seguridad.
A continuación se detallan cada uno de los 10 puntos de anclaje por donde se debe fijar el
soporte al suelo de la ambulancia:

06.3. Funcionamiento
REPOSABRAZOS
El reposabrazos tiene dos posiciones:
1. Levantado para almacenamiento
(Véase en Figura 2)
2. Bajado para uso (Véase en Figura 1)
- Para bajar el reposabrazos, empuje
este hacia abajo hasta que se detenga.
- Para levantar el reposabrazos,
levántelo hasta que se detenga.
Instrucciones de uso del reposabrazos:
Mantenga el reposabrazos elevado cuando no esté en uso.
Mantenga el reposabrazos limpio, evitando el contacto del paciente con fluidos externos.

CINTURONES
Use los sistemas de retención del paciente
para ayudar a sostener al paciente en la
silla.
Siga estas instrucciones para anclar
correctamente los cinturones:
1. Una las dos hebillas señaladas en la
Figura 3, siguiendo el sentido de las
flechas hasta que se cierre el sistema y
vea que este no se abre.
Instrucciones de uso de los cinturones:
Asegure que estos están bien sujetos en sus respectivos puntos de anclaje, los cuales
pueden ser observados en la Figura 4.
Use un mínimo de dos cinturones.
Un cinturón de seguridad debe estar asegurado en el asiento de la silla para ayudar a
sostener al paciente en la silla.
EMPUÑADURAS TELESCÓPICAS
Las empuñaduras telescópicas, se ajustan a dos posiciones bloqueadas. Ajuste las
empuñaduras de acuerdo con las preferencias del operador y la tarea en cuestión.
EXTENDER LAS EMPUÑADURAS:
1. Presione el botón de liberación (Figura 5)
y tire del mango hasta encontrar la
posición de bloqueo.
2. Suelte el botón y deslice el asa un poco
hacia adelante hasta que encaje en su
posición.
3. Bloquee ambos mangos en la misma
posición. Verifique que ambas manijas
estén bloqueadas al intentar empujarlas
o extraerlas sin presionar los botones de
liberación. Cuando las cerraduras están enganchadas, las manijas no se moverán.
RETRAER LAS EMPUÑADURAS:
1. Presione el botón de liberación (Figura 6) y empuje el mango hasta encontrar la posición
de bloqueo.
2. Suelte el botón y deslice el asa un poco hacia atrás hasta que encaje en su posición.
3. Bloquee ambos mangos en la misma posición. Verifique que ambas manijas estén
bloqueadas al intentar empujarlas o extraerlas sin presionar los botones de liberación.
Cuando las cerraduras están enganchadas, las manijas no se moverán.

REPOSAPIÉS
El reposapiés tiene dos posiciones:
1. Levantado para almacenamiento
(Véase en Figura 7)
2. Bajado para uso (Véase en Figura 8)
- Para bajar el reposapiés, bájelo hacia
abajo hasta que se detenga.
- Para levantar el reposapiés, levántelo
hasta que se detenga.
Instrucciones de uso del reposapiés.
Use el reposapiés correctamente para asegurarse de que no interfiera con los pies del
paciente o del operador.
Antes de transferir al paciente a la silla, asegúrese de que el reposapiés esté levantado
en la posición de almacenamiento. Siente al paciente antes de bajar el reposapiés.
Cuando se prepare para trasladar al paciente de la silla, levante el reposapiés a la
posición de almacenamiento antes de aflojar el torso y las restricciones del regazo del
paciente. Esto evitará que el paciente intente pararse antes de que el reposapiés haya
sido guardado fuera del camino de sus pies.
Mantenga el reposapiés elevado cuando no esté en uso.
FRENOS RUEDAS GIRATORIAS DELANTERAS
Las ruedas delanteras de la silla, están equipadas con
frenos para evitar que la silla se mueva durante el traslado
del paciente o durante una parada.
- Esté con la silla y mantenga el control de ella en todo
momento. No utilice los seguros de las ruedas como
sustituto del control del operador.
- Para activar un bloqueo de la rueda, presione hacia
abajo el extremo posterior del pedal de bloqueo. (Véase
en Figura 9)
- Para desactivar un bloqueo de la rueda, presione hacia abajo el extremo delantero del
pedal de bloqueo.

FRENOS RUEDAS TRASERAS
Las ruedas traseras de la silla, están equipadas con frenos
para evitar que la silla se mueva durante el traslado del
paciente o durante una parada.
- Esté con la silla y mantenga el control de ella en todo
momento. No utilice los seguros de las ruedas como
sustituto del control del operador.
- Para activar un bloqueo de la rueda, presione hacia abajo
el pedal de bloqueo. (Véase en Figura 10)
- Para desactivar un bloqueo de la rueda, presione hacia
arriba el pedal de bloqueo. (Véase en Figura 10)
ASAS DE TRANSPORTE
Las asas de transporte tienen dos posiciones:
1. Bajadas para almacenamiento (Véase en Figura 12)
2. Levantadas para uso (Véase en Figura 11)
- Para bajar las asas de transporte, presione el botón
de desbloqueo (Figura 11) y empuje estas hacia
abajo hasta que se detengan.
- Para levantar las asas de transporte, levántelas
hasta que se detengan.
Instrucciones de uso de las asas de transporte:
Mantenga las asas de transporte bajadas cuando
no estén en uso.
Mantenga las asas de transporte limpias, evitando
el contacto del operario con fluidos externos.

SISTEMA DE ANCLAJE PARA ORUGA
Use el sistema de anclaje para oruga para cuando
quiera acoplar una oruga a la silla para facilitar el
transporte del paciente por escaleras.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL ANCLAJE DE LA
ORUGA:
Para empezar, coloque la oruga en posición extendida,
reclinada sobre las bandas de rodadura tal y como se
muestra en la imagen 1.
Con la silla desplegada, aproxime los ganchos
inferiores de la silla junto a la oruga, de modo que
queden alineados con los anclajes de la oruga,
levantando ligeramente la silla acople los anclajes
inferiores según se muestra en la imagen 2.
Acto seguido, decline la silla sobre la oruga, con un
golpe seco, deberá escuchar un sonido tipo CLACK y
el acople se habrá producido de manera correcta, vea
la imagen 3.
Para finalizar, levante el conjunto y cierre la oruga de
tal forma que el conjunto quede según la imagen 4.
Para el proceso de desacople simplemente tire de las
palancas ubicadas en la parte superior de la oruga y
ésta quedará liberada.
Durante la operación de acople y desacople de la oruga, la silla deberá permanecer en todo momento
sin ningún paciente y en una superficie lo más plana posible.
De no ser así, puede resultar herido tanto el paciente como el personal sanitario y pueden resultar
dañados elementos importantes del producto.

PLEGADO Y DESPLEGADO DE LA SILLA
Para plegar la silla localice el cable de desbloqueo en la parte posterior del respaldo, con
una mano sujetando la silla y un pie en el tubo inferior que une las ruedas tire del cable hacia
usted y aproxime la silla hacia el suelo de manera que el asiento se aproxime al respaldo.
Cuando la silla quede totalmente plegada las baldas de bloqueo deberán quedar en la
posición de bloqueo.
Para desplegar la silla siga el proceso a la inversa y asegúrese que las baldas vuelven a su
posición natural de bloqueo.
ELECTRIC TRACK
Use the electric track to facil
Las Ruedas delanteras de la silla y todas sus manetas deberán permanecer plegadas y
bloqueadas cuando se efectúe la operación de plegado / desplegado de la silla. De no ser
así, se pueden dañar elementos importantes de la silla.

06.4. Funcionamiento de la oruga
PUESTA EN MARCHA DE LA ORGUA
Para empezar a usar la oruga eléctrica es necesario cargar la batería. Para ello localice la
toma externa con conector hembra 2.1, situado en la parte posterior de la oruga según
muestra la imagen (A).
Si dispone del soporte PA-270 y su instalación y ha solicitado la oruga PA-260 con carga
integrada, puede empezar a cargar la oruga tal y como se muestra en la imagen (B), coloque
la oruga en el soporte y empezará su carga automáticamente.
Cargue siempre la batería con su cargador PROMEBA suministrado hasta su nivel de carga
máximo (APROXIMADAMENTE UNOS 60 MIN. SON SUFICIENTES).
Cargue únicamente las baterías de la camilla con el cargador suministrado por PROMEBA,
de no ser así, podría dañar las baterías y perderá la garantía de las mismas.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO PARA LA ORUGA
El uso de la silla en las escaleras requiere solo
de un operador capacitado. Se recomienda
utilizar a un segundo operador de apoyo y a una
tercera persona como un “observador”.
Verifique que el sistema de seguimiento esté
completamente abierto y bloqueado antes de
usarlo.
Nunca lubrique las correas. La lubricación
puede hacer que las correas funcionen de forma
impredecible, lo que puede provocar lesiones al
paciente y/o los operadores.
La humedad, el agua, la nieve, el hielo o los residuos en o entre las pistas y las correas
pueden provocar un funcionamiento irregular de la banda que provoque cambios
repentinos en el peso que deben soportar los operadores. Asegúrese de que las pistas y
los cinturones estén limpios y secos antes de usar la silla en las escaleras.
La humedad, el agua, la nieve, el hielo o los escombros en las escaleras pueden causar
un mal equilibrio para los operadores. Para evitar posibles lesiones, despeje las escaleras
o seleccione una ruta alternativa.
APERTURA DEL SISTEMA ORUGA
1. Sujete el pomo de desbloqueo para desplegar la
oruga mostrado en la Figura 19 y tire con firmeza de
él en la dirección indicada hasta que vea que el
sistema de regulación de despliegue se mueve, y
empuje la oruga en la dirección indicada en la Figura
20, colocándola en la posición deseada (Posición 1,
Posición 2, Posición 3) según le convenga,
dependiendo de las condiciones en las que se
encuentre al desplazar la silla por las escaleras.
2. Verifique que el sistema se haya bloqueado
empujando éste como si lo quisiera cerrar. Si el
bloqueo está completamente enganchado, el
sistema oruga no se cerrará.
CIERRE DEL SISTEMA ORUGA
1. Sujete la el pomo de desbloqueo para desplegar la oruga
mostrado en la Figura 19 y tire con firmeza de el en la
dirección indicada hasta que vea que el sistema de
regulación de despliegue se mueve, cierre la oruga en la
dirección indicada en la Figura 21 hasta que esta se cierre
completamente.
2. Verifique que el sistema se haya bloqueado empujando
este como si lo quisiera abrir. Si el bloqueo está
completamente enganchado, el sistema oruga no se
abrirá.

OPERACIÓN DE SUBIR Y BAJAR ESCALERAS CON LA ORUGA
Partiendo de la posición de transporte y siempre operando con un mínimo de un técnico
sanitario con formación:
SUBIDA:
Acoplar la silla a la oruga según se explica en la página 32.
Extender las empuñaduras telescópicas de la silla, según se explica en la página 29.
Plegar las manetas del respaldo, según se explica en la página 31.
Extender el reposapiés una vez el paciente esté sentado, según se explica en la página
30.
Abrochar al paciente con los dos cinturones suministrados, según se explica en la página
29.
Fijar la cabeza del paciente mediante el inmobilizador ubicado en la oruga (A).
Poner en “stand by” la oruga presionando el botón ON/OFF del panel de control (B).
Aproximar la silla a la base de la escalera y reclinar con suavidad el tren motriz de la
oruga encima de los primeros peldaños de la escalera.
En caso de haberlo, el segundo operario deberá extender las empuñaduras telescópicas
antes de iniciar la marcha y acompañar en todo momento durante el trayecto (2).
Presione en botón de “UP” para subir las escaleras (3).
Una vez finalizado el tramo de las escaleras es muy importante plegar todos los
elementos innecesarios durante el traslado en plano (4).
BAJADA
Colocar la silla en el inicio de la escalera.
En caso de haberlo, el operario situado en frente del paciente deberá colocar la silla en
el inicio de la escalera y deberá ayudar a la inclinación de la oruga (3)
Presione en botón de “DOWN” para bajar las escaleras (3).
El paciente deberá de permanecer inmovilizado en todo momento cuando se efectúe la
operación de subir / bajar una escalera.
No está permitido en ningún caso movilizar pacientes sin cumplir todas las medidas de
seguridad establecidas.

parte superior de la misma.

AJUSTAR LA ORUGA A LA PENDIENTE DE LA ESCALERA
La oruga PA-260 incorpora un regulador manual que permite ajustar la inclinación del tren
según la pendiente de la escalera. De este modo se permite una ergonomía de uso durante
la maniobra de subida y bajada muy superior, siendo la postura del paciente siempre de
unos 15º respecto del suelo.
Se dispone de 3 ajustes:
BATERÍA
El tiempo de carga de la batería es de 5-6 horas. Cuando la batería está cargando, la luz del
cargador aparecerá en rojo. Cuando esté totalmente cargado, la luz estará verde. Se
recomienda continuar cargando la batería durante una hora después de que la luz se ponga
verde.
La batería puede durar 1,5 horas cuando está totalmente cargada, que equivale a hacer 30
veces un edificio de 5 plantas. Cuando la oruga no está en uso, cerrar el interruptor de la
batería.
Si la silla no se usa durante un tiempo prolongado, la batería se debería de cargar cada 3
meses. La batería puede ser cargada hasta 500 veces y tiene una vida útil entre 3 y 5 años.

SOLUCIÓN DE ERRORES:
CONSIDERACIONES IMPORTANTES
El sistema electrónico de la oruga se apagará automáticamente si en 15 minutos no se ha efectuado
ninguna operación.
En maniobras de subida y bajada repetidamente de hasta 10 ciclos ininterrumpidamente deberemos
realizar una parada obligatoria durante al menos 15 segundos para que el sistema moto-reductor de
la oruga se recupere.
Se aconseja retirar la batería del interior de la oruga si va a pasar largos periodos de inoperatividad.
Es importante mantener un mínimo de ciclos de carga cada mes para mantener la buena capacidad
de la batería.
No deje sin cargar más de 2 MESES la batería. Podría dejar de funcionar.

07.1. Limpieza
Es fundamental mantener limpio el equipo para asegurar un correcto uso y durabilidad del
conjunto. Se debe realizar una limpieza a fondo periódicamente, especialmente en áreas
expuestas a suciedad que puedan acumular suciedad como esquinas o agujeros.
No utilice sistemas de limpieza de alta presión, ni lejía para desinfectar el producto, pueden
dañarlo. En su lugar, use un desinfectante con base de hidroalcohólica, lávelo con agua y
déjelo secar naturalmente, no use fuentes de calor directo para secar.
El incumplimiento de las operaciones de limpieza puede conducir al riesgo de infecciones
cruzadas debidas a la presencia de secreciones y/o residuos. Durante todas las operaciones
de control y desinfección, el operador debe usar equipos de protección individual adecuados,
como guantes, gafas, etc.
Cuando el procedimiento de limpieza incluya algún producto desinfectante, seguir
atentamente las instrucciones del fabricante del producto utilizado en lo referente a la
modalidad de aplicación y tiempo de contacto. Asegúrese de haber tomado todas las
precauciones necesarias para garantizar que no haya riesgos de infección cruzada o
contaminación de pacientes y operadores.
07.2. Lubricación y engrase
En general toda parte móvil deberá engrasarse. Nuestros productos salen de fábrica
completamente engrasados y lubricados, no obstante, es posible que con el tiempo y uso
del producto los elementos se desengrasen, bien por pérdida de lubricación o bien por
suciedad.
Limpie y engrase periódicamente las zonas afectadas según las especificaciones del
fabricante. Compruebe que no haya piezas flojas, faltantes o desgastadas.
No realizar la correcta rutina de limpieza podría aumentar el riesgo de infección cruzada, por presencia
de fluidos y/o residuos corporales.
El operador siempre debe usar protección personal adecuada, como guantes y mascarilla, etc., durante
todos los procedimientos de verificación y limpieza.
Asegúrese de mantener estas zonas libres de suciedad.
Ponga especial cuidado en su limpieza para asegurar un buen funcionamiento del conjunto.

Nunca lubrique las correas. La lubricación puede hacer que las correas funcionen de forma
impredecible, lo que puede provocar lesiones al paciente y/o a los operadores.
07.3. Áreas de desgaste
La inspección periódica de los componentes del sistema en busca de signos de desgaste es
una medida preventiva que puede reducir las averías. Compruebe especialmente posibles
fugas de lubricante, ranuras o cojinetes en mal estado. Debido al uso intenso y continuo de
elementos como manetas o palancas es importante examinar periódicamente su correcto
funcionamiento.
En caso que se requiera el cambio de un componente desgastado, debe ponerse en contacto
con nuestro departamento comercial para obtener más información sobre el pedido de
repuestos y su instalación.
La reparación o sustitución de componentes de los productos debe ser efectuada
necesariamente por el personal cualificado, es decir, que haya recibido una formación por
parte del Fabricante, Promeba S.L. y siempre se deben usar repuestos originales.
Promeba S.L. declina cualquier responsabilidad por cualquier daño, directo o indirecto, que
sea una consecuencia de un uso inadecuado de los repuestos y/o de cualquier intervención
de reparación efectuada por personas no autorizadas.
07.4. Programa de mantenimiento
Aunque la frecuencia de los controles está determinada por factores como las prescripciones
legales, el tipo de uso, la frecuencia de uso, las condiciones ambientales durante el uso y el
almacenamiento, a continuación se detalla una recomendación sobre el mantenimiento que
el equipo de tener para un correcto funcionamiento durante toda su vida útil.
Todas las actividades de mantenimiento y revisión deben registrarse y documentarse con
los informes de intervención técnica correspondientes, y la documentación deberá
mantenerse al menos durante 10 años a partir del final de vida útil del producto y deberá
ponerse a disposición de las Autoridades competentes y/o del Fabricante, cuando la
soliciten.

Durante el procedimiento de inspección, que se debe realizar después de cada uso, se
deben de realizar las siguientes tareas:
- Comprobar que estén presentes todos los componentes.
- Comprobar la integridad del dispositivo, es decir, que no hay roturas, grietas,
agujeros ni cortes.
- Comprobar el desgaste del producto siguiendo el apartado 7.3 del presente manual.
- Comprobar que las partes móviles se deslizan correctamente.
- Comprobar que los accesorios previstos estén presentes e intactos y que funcionen
correctamente.
- Para algunas condiciones de uso, debido a vibraciones o impactos, determinados
elementos pueden perder su par de apriete o propiedades de fijación. Revise
periódicamente que no haya elementos sueltos, especialmente en las partes móviles.
Inspeccione las conexiones mecánicas que puedan existir. Tenga en cuenta y
respete siempre los pares de apriete recomendados.

controles de calidad establecidos, tanto
funcionales, como materiales. La duración
de la garantía es de 2 años a partir de la
fecha de compra del producto.
Esta garantía tendrá validez solamente
cuando se presente con la factura original o
comprobante de compra (indicando la fecha
de compra, modelo y el nombre del
distribuidor) junto con el producto
defectuoso durante el periodo que cubre la
garantía. Promeba, S.L. se reserva el
derecho a no ofrecer el servicio de garantía
gratuito si no se presentan los documentos
indicados o si la información que los mismos
contienen es incompleta o ilegible.
1. Esta garantía no será de aplicación si el
nombre del modelo o el número de serie del
producto ha sido alterado, borrado, ha
desaparecido o resulta ilegible.

iii. Estados o defectos del sistema en el
que se usa o se incorpora el producto
con la excepción de otros productos

iv. Utilización del producto con accesorios,
unidades periféricas y otros productos
de un tipo, condición o normas no
establecidas por Promeba, S.L.
v. El fabricante o distribuidor será el único
responsable en decidir el envío de las
piezas para su reparación, o bien la
sustitución del producto en su totalidad.
En ningún caso se enviarán operarios
para dicha reparación o sustitución del
producto.
Excepto en los casos mencionados más
arriba, Promeba, S.L. no otorgará garantías
con relación al producto, el funcionamiento,
la precisión, la fiabilidad o la adaptabilidad a
una finalidad del equipo lógica o de otro tipo.

personnel. In case the device has some instructions for use of a different product tan the one
received, it is necessary to contact the manufacturer immediately before using the product.
Remember that a good use and maintenance are necessary for the proper operation of the
product.

02.4. Life span
If used as described in the following instructions, this device has a useful life of 10
years from the date of purchase.
This useful life can be extended with annual reviews carried out by the manufacturer, which
uses specialized and authorized internal and external technicians.
In case these annual checks are not carried out, the device must be disposed of according
to the information in paragraph 02.5 and the manufacturer must be notified.
Only the manufacturer or an authorized center can extend the life of the device, if it meets
the safety and legal requirements.
Promeba, S.L. will not accept any responsibility for malfunction or damage caused by the use
of devices that have not been checked by the manufacturer or authorized center, or that have
exceeded the maximum allowed useful life.

02.5. Demolition
When the devices are no longer suitable for use, if they have not been contaminated by
any particular agent, they can be disposed of as electric waste, otherwise, follow the
current demolition regulations.
WARNINGS FOR THE CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH EC DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU WEEE:
At the end of his life, the product must not be disposed as household waste.
Can be taken to special recycling centers provided by local government, or
return it to the dealer on purchase of a new device of the same type and used
for the same functions. Dispose of the product separately avoids possible
negative consequences for the environment and human health resulting from
inappropriate disposal and allows to recover the materials in order to obtain
significant savings in energy and resources. The symbol on the label indicates
separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment.

02.7. Labelling
Each product incorporates an identification label, placed on the device itself and/or on the
original packaging of the product. It must never be removed or covered. This label includes
the data of the company which produced the device ( ), the product code / reference ( )
of the product, the manufacturing date ( ), the serial number ( ), the UDI-PI code ( )
and the CE distinctive ( ). Please keep these numbers so you can inform the dealer if
necessary.
The UDI-PI code is made up of the following fields:
- (01)08437001519163: UDI code of the product.
- (11)231127: it gives information about the batch release date of the product following
the format aammdd, where aa is the batch release year, mm is the month of the batch
release and dd is the day of the batch release.
- (21)01554823001: identifies the serial number of the product giving information about
the manufacturing order (0155) including the week when the product was produced
(4823) and a correlative number depending on the units that has been produced in
that production order (001).

03.1. Intended use
The product ELECTRIC CHAIR is a device indicated to effortlessly transport patients (over
40kg) in hospital and pre-hospital environments thanks to its electric transport function when
going up and down stairs.
03.2. Contraindications and side effects
Any contraindication or side effect have been resulted from the clinical analysis of the
ELECTRIC CHAIR family of products.
03.3. Physical requirements of the operators
Promeba electric chairs are intended exclusively for professional use. Each operator must be
trained to transport patients safely and efficiently. Do not allow untrained persons to assist
during use of the product, as they may cause injury to others or themselves. The device is
intended to be used by medical transport technical personnel or ambulance technicians who
have knowledge and experience with patient transport.
Operators must be able to provide the necessary assistance to the patient.
Users must be able to safely lift and manipulate the weight of the assembly consisting of the
chair, the patient, and any other equipment used with the device.
For patient loading techniques, for particularly heavy patients, for interventions on steep
terrain or in particular and unusual circumstances, the presence of several operators is
recommended (not just 1 as expected in standard conditions).
Operators must be able to evaluate any anomaly of the system/assembly, communicating
the problem to those responsible and interrupting the use of the devices if necessary to
ensure patient safety.
The capacities of the various operators must be considered before
determining his role in the employment of the board.

04.1. General warnings
1. The product must be used by trained personnel only, having attended specific
training for this device and not for similar products.
2. Establish a maintenance and periodic control program and identify a reference
manager. The person in charge of the ordinary maintenance of the device must
guarantee the basic requirements provided by the manufacturer in these instructions
for use. It is recommended that the subject check at least every 6 months if there are
updated user manuals available or if there are any changes related to his / her
product. This information is freely available on the website http://promeba.com/.
3. Training routines must be registered on a special register in which the names of
those trained, of the trainers, date and place are indicated. This register, which will
certify the eligibility of the operators to use the Promeba, S.L. device, has to be kept
for a period of 10 years after the disposal of the device itself. This register will be
made available to the competent authorities and/or manufacturer if requested.
4. Promeba, S.L. is always at your disposal to plan trainings on products.
5. Before carrying out any kind of operation on the appliance (training, installation,
use), the operator must carefully read the enclosed instructions, paying particular
attention to the correct safety precautions and to the procedures to be followed for
installation and for correct use.
6. If the instructions belong to another device and not the device received, inform the
manufacturer immediately and avoid use of the device.
7. In the case of any doubts as to the correct interpretation of the instructions, please
contact Promeba, S.L. for any necessary clarifications.
8. Do not allow untrained persons to help during the use of the device, because they
could cause damage to the patient or to themselves.
9. Before each use of device the perfect operating state of the device must be checked
as specified in the instruction manual. If any damage or abnormalities which could in
any way influence the correct functioning and the safety of the device, of the patient
and/or of the user are detected, the device must be immediately removed from service
and the manufacturer must be contacted.
10. If any failure or incorrect functioning of the device is detected, it must be
immediately substituted with a similar item so that the rescue procedures are
guaranteed without any interruption.
11. Use of the device in anyway other than described in this manual is forbidden.
12. Do not alter or modify in any way the device; any such interference could cause
malfunctions and injury to the patient and/or rescuer.
13. The device must not in any way be tampered with (modification, adjustment,
addition, replacement). In such cases all responsibility will be denied for any
malfunctions or injuries caused by the device itself; moreover CE certification and
product warranty will be considered void.

14. Use only original or PROMEBA approved components/spare parts and/or
accessories to carry out all operations without causing alterations or modifications to
the device; Otherwise, any responsibility for the operation is declined.
15. Ensure that all the necessary precautions are taken in order to avoid the hazards
that can arise as the result of contact with blood or body fluids.
16. Register and store with these instructions: lot number, place and date of purchase,
first date of use, date of checks, name of users and any other comments.
17. When the device is being used, the assistance of qualified staff must be
guaranteed.
18. The product must not be exposed or come into contact with thermal sources of
combustion and flammable agents, but must be stored in a dry, cool place, protected
from light and sunlight.
19. Store and transport device in its original packaging.
20. Do not store the product under other more or less heavy materials, which can
damage the structure of the product.
21. Attention: laboratory testing, post production tests and instruction manuals cannot
always consider every possible scenario for use. This means that in some cases the
performance of the product could be notable different from results to date obtained.
Instructions are continually being updated and are under tight surveillance of fully
qualified staffs with adequate technical formation.
22. As a distributor or end users of products manufactured and/or marketed by
Promeba, S.L., you are strictly required to have a basic knowledge of any legal
requirements existing in the goods final destination country applying to the devices
contained in this supply (including laws and norms regarding technical specifications
and/or safety requirements) and therefore you are also strictly required to have the
necessary knowledge to guarantee all aspects regarding the total conformity of the
products to the regulations in the relevant territory.
23. Promptly notify PROMEBA regarding any revisions to be made by manufacturer
in order to guarantee the conformity of the product to the territory’s legal specifications
(including those resulting from rules and/or norms of other nature).
24. Act with all due care and diligence, and contribute to ensure conformity to general
safety requirements of all devices marketed in the territory, by providing final users
with all necessary information for carrying out periodical checks on their devices, as
specified in the relevant user manual.
25. Actively contribute to product safety checks on products sold, by communicating
any relevant risk analysis information both to the manufacturer and to any competent
authorities so that the necessary actions can be promptly taken.
26. Be aware that in the event of any failure to conform to the above mentioned
requirements you will be deemed fully responsible for all damages that might occur.
Therefore we expressly disclaim any responsibility and/or liability for your non-
compliance with the present “Regulatory provisions”.
27. Follow internal procedures and protocols approved by your organization.

28. Follow approved Emergency Medical Service procedures for patient
immobilization and transportation.
04.2. Specific warnings
1. Use only accessories/spare parts that are original or approved by Promeba, S.L.
when performing any operation so as not to cause any alteration or modification to
the device, otherwise we do not assume any responsibility for the correct operation
or resulting damage of the device to the patient or the operator and the guarantee will
be considered void, as well as compliance with the Regulation 2017/745.
2. Always respect the maximum capacity of the device, as indicated in this user’s
manual. Maximum load capacity means the total weight distributed according to the
human anatomy. In determining the load of the total weight on the product, the
operator must consider the weight of the patient, the equipment and the accessories.
Moreover, the operator must consider that the overall dimensions of the patient do
not reduce the functionality of the device.
3. Inside the ambulance, place and adjust the device taking care not to obstruct other
parts or other equipment. It is recommended not to open the equipment inside the
ambulance, but rather to do it outside the vehicle.
4. Never leave the patient unassisted on the device, because he may be injured.
5. Do not use bleach to disinfect the device. Use a hydroalcoholic based disinfectant
and wash with water.
6. The device and all its components, after washing, should be allowed to dry
completely before storing.
7. Avoid contact with sharp objects.
8. Do not use the device if it is pierced, deformed or shows signs of loss of integrity.
9. Do not operate in case the weight has not been distributed correctly.
10. Condensation, water, ice and dust accumulations can affect the correct operation
of the device, making it unpredictable.
11. Always immobilize the patient at least with the belts supplied by the manufacturer
during any movement of the stretcher, including loading and unloading to the
ambulance.
12. Do not use the device as a support for climbing or leaning on and reaching high
points in the ambulance. The product may be damaged and the technician or patient
may be harmed.
13. Disinfection activities must be carried out in accordance with the validated cycle
parameters, indicated in the specific technical standards.
14. Promeba S.L. shall not be liable if unauthorized / incompatible stretcher fastener
is used.
15. Do not leave the batteries uncharged for more than 2 MONTHS. They could break
down.

16. Incorrect loading of the chair can cause damage and/or injuries. Use only batteries
approved and authorized by Promeba S.L. and recharge only with chargers approved
and authorized by Promeba S.L.
17. Do not use the chair with the track carriage without being properly locked as this
may cause damage and/or injury. Make sure you have properly locked the track
carriage before moving the patient.
18. Do not exceed the maximum capacity allowed by the chair. Exceeding it may
cause deformations to the product or harm to the patient.
19. Do not lubricate the chair when it is connected to the power.
20. In repeated up and down maneuvers of up to 10 uninterrupted cycles, a mandatory
stop must be made for at least 15 seconds so that the electric chair's motor-reduction
system recovers.
21. Always use both hands to transport the chair to avoid the risk of tipping over.
22. Pay full attention to the team and the patient during the performance of the service.
04.3. Residual risk
The residual risks listed below have been identified only with reference to the intended use
of the device:
1. A patient without assistance is at risk of injury. Never leave the patient alone and
always help them while using the chair.
2. The operation carried out by unqualified personnel could cause harm to both the
patient and the personnel performing the operation.

06.1. Transport and storage
Before transporting the appliance, make sure that it is
correctly packaged. During transport always fix the load.
If piling up is necessary, always follow the scheme
shown on figure 1. Transport the load levelled and
following all precepts and rules for the load
transportation, ensuring also that there are no risks of
shocks, bumps or falls during the transport itself.
To unpack the device place the box on a flat, stable
surface and carefully open the seal. Remove the device
from the inside of the box following the scheme shown
on figure 2.
Keep the original packaging for use in case of any other
transport and for storage.
Damage to the appliance caused during transport and
handling is not covered by the guarantee. Repairs or
replacement of the damaged parts are the responsibility
of the client.
The device must be stored in a dry, cool area away from
direct sunlight. It must not be placed in contact with any
substances or chemical agent which could cause
damage and reduce safety characteristics.
The storage temperature must be between -20ºC and 60ºC.

06.2. Preparation
When the product is received:
- Verify that the packaging is intact and has no signs of impacts, falls and isn’t wet.
- Remove the packaging and expose the material so that all components are visible.
- Check that all the components/pieces on the section 5 are present.
The appliance must be checked before every use so as to reveal any working abnormalities
and/or damage caused by transport and/or storage. In particular, check:
The product must not be manipulated in any way (modification, adjustment, addition,
substitution). In such cases, all responsibility for any malfunction or injury caused by the
product itself will be disclaimed; furthermore, CE certification and product warranty will be
considered void.

Cleaning the device (remember that the lack of cleaning can cause the spread of

Absence of cuts, holes, breaks in the structure, including the belts.
Correct fixing of all nuts, bolts and screws.
Correct attachment of the belts to the chair.
Correct operation of the belt closure.
Condition of moving parts, wheels and belts.
Integrity of the seams.
There are no tubes or metal sheets that show bends or cracks.
The backrest and the seat do not show damage or structural cracks.
The welds are intact, without cracks or breaks.
Wheels are securely fixed, stable and work properly.
Wheels are free of dirt or debris.
Brakes work properly.
Track belts run and have the correct tension for use.
Correct operation of the springs.
Armrests raise and lower correctly.
The transport handles open, close and lock correctly.
Telescopic handles open, close and lock properly.
Presence of all labeling.
Lubrication of moving parts.
The emergency vehicle is equipped with the locking system for the PS-190 chair.
If the above conditions are met, the device may be considered ready for use; otherwise it
must immediately be removed from service and contact the manufacturer.
Before the installation inside the ambulance:
- Ensure that the vehicle in which you want to install the device, is manufactured in
compliance with EN 1789.
- Check that the ambulance is capable to store the chair support.
- The installation floor is perfectly flat. Non-flat surfaces or parts of the floor that are not
perfectly levelled could compromise the correct operation of the product.
- The distance between the ambulance door and the end of the support is respected.
Failure to respect this distance could interfere with the movements of the device with
consequences for your safety.
Below are details of each of the 10 anchor points where the rail must be fixed to the floor of
the ambulance:

06.3. Functioning
ARMRESTS
The armrest has two positions:
1. Lifting for storage (See in Figure 2).
2. Lowered for use (See in Figure 1).
- To lower the armrest, push it down
until it stops.
- To lift the armrest, lift it until it stops.
Instructions for using the armrest:
Keep the armrest raised when it is
not in use.
Keep the armrest clean, avoiding patient contact with external fluids.
BELTS
Use patient restraint systems to help the patient in the chair.
Follow these instructions to properly anchor the belts:
1. Join the two buckles indicated in Figure 3, following the direction of the arrows until the
system will be closed and then be sure that it does not open.
Instructions for use of the belts:
Make sure that they are well secured in
their respective anchor points, which
can be observed in Figure 4.
Use a minimum of two belts.
A safety belt should be secured on the
seat of the chair to keep the patient on
the chair.
TELESCOPIC HANDLES
The telescopic handles adjust to two locked positions. Adjust the handles according to the
preferences of the operator and the task.
EXTEND THE HANDLES:
1. Press the release button (Figure 5) and
pull the handle until you find the locking
position.
2. Release the button and slide the handle
forward until it clicks into place.
3. Lock both handles in the same position.
Verify that both handles are locked when
you try to push or remove them without

pressing the release buttons. When the locks are engaged, the handles will not move.
RETRACT THE HANDLES:
1. Press the release button (Figure 6) and push the handle until you find the blocking position.
2. Release the button and slide the handle backwards until it clicks into place.
3. Lock both handles in the same position. Verify that both handles are locked when you try
to push or remove them without pressing the release buttons. When the locks are
engaged, the handles will not move.
FOOTREST
The footrest has two positions:
1. Lifting for storage (See in Figure 7).
2. Lowered for use (See in Figure 8).
- To lower the footrest, lower it down until
it stops.
- To lift the footrest, lift it until it stops.
Instructions for footrest use:
Use the footrest correctly to ensure that
it does not interfere with the patient’s operator feet.
Before transferring the patient to the chair, make sure that the footrest is raised in the
storage position. Sit down the patient before lowering the footrest.
At the time to move the patient from the chair, lift the footrest to the storage position before
loosening the belts. This will prevent the patient from trying to stop before the footrest has
been stowed out of the way of his feet.
Keep the repository elevated when it is not in use.
FRONT SWIVEL WHEELS BRAKE
The front wheels of the chair are equipped with brakes to
prevent the chair from moving during the transfer of the
patient or during a stop.
- Be with the chair and keep control of it at all times. Do
not use wheel locks as a substitute for operator control.
- To activate a wheel lock, press down the rear end of the
lock pedal. (See in Figure 9).
- To deactivate a wheel lock, press down the front end of
the lock pedal. (See in Figure 9)

REAR WHEELS WITH BRAKE
The rear wheels of the chair are equipped with brakes to prevent the chair from moving during
the transfer of the patient or during a stop.
- Be with the chair and keep control of it at all times. Do
not use wheel locks as a substitute for operator
control.
- To activate a wheel lock, press down the rear end of
the lock pedal. (See in Figure 10).
- To deactivate a wheel lock, press down the front end
of the lock pedal. (See in Figure 10)
TRANSPORT HANDLES
The transport handles have two positions:
1. Lowered for storage (See in Figure 12)
2. Lifted for use (See in Figure 11)
- To lower the carrying handles, press the release
button (Figure 11) and push them down until they
stop.
- To lift the carrying handles, lift them until they stop.
Instructions for use of transport handles:
Keep the carrying handles down when they are not
in use.
Keep the carrying handles clean, avoiding operator
contact with external fluids.

TRACK ANCHOR SYSTEM
Use the track anchor system when you want to attach
a track to the chair to facilitate patient transport by
stairs.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ANCHORING THE TRACK:
First, place the track in an extended position, reclining
on the tread bands as shown in figure 1.
With the chair unfolded, bring the lower hooks of the
chair closer to the track, so that they are aligned with
the track anchors, slightly lifting the chair attach the
lower anchors as shown in figure 2.
Then, turn the chair on the power track, with a dry blow,
you should hear a CLACK sound and the coupling will
have been produced correctly, see image 3.
To end, lift the assembly and close the track so that the
assembly is according to the image 4.
For the decoupling process, pull the handles located at
the top of the track and it will be released.
During the operation of the coupling and decoupling of the track, the chair shall remain at all
times without any patient and on a surface as flat possible.
If not, both patient and personnel may result in wounds and may result in damaged important
product elements.

FOLDING AND UNFOLDING THE CHAIR
To fold the chair locate the unlocking cable on the back of the backrest, with one hand holding
the chair and one foot in the lower tube that joins the wheels, pull the cord toward you and
bring the chair closer to the floor so that the seat approaches the backrest. When the chair is
completely folded, the locking shelves must be in the locked position.
To unfold the chair follow the process in reverse and make sure that the tubes return to their
natural locking position.

The front wheels of the chair and all handles should remain folded and locked when the
folding / unfolding operation is done.
Otherwise, you could damage important elements of the chair.

06.4. Functioning (track)
START UP OF THE TRACK
To start using the power track, it is necessary to charge the battery. To do this, locate the
external socket with female connector 2.1, located on the back of the track as shown in the
picture (A).
If you have the PA-271 support and its installation and you have requested the PA-260 track
with integrated load, you can start loading the track as shown in the image (B), place the
track on the stand and start charging automatically.
Always charge the battery up with the charger supplied by PROMEBA to its maximum charge
level (approx. 60min. are enough).
Only charge the batteries of the track with the charger supplied by PROMEBA, otherwise it
could damage the batteries and you will lose their warranty.

GENERAL WARNINGS FOR THE TRACK
Unless 1 operator is enough to manage the track, two trained operators and a third person
as an “observer” are recommended.
Verify that the tracking system is completely open and locked before using it.
Never lubricate the belts. Lubrication can cause
the belts to work unpredictably, which can cause
injury to the patient and/or operators.
Moisture, water, snow, ice or debris on or
between track and belts can cause uneven belt
operation that causes sudden changes in the
weight that operators must bear. Make sure the
tracks and belts are clean and dry before using
the chair on the stairs.
Humidity, water, snow, ice or debris on ladders
can cause poor balance for operators. To avoid
possible injuries, clear the stairs or select an
alternative route.
OPENING THE TRACK SYSTEM
1. Hold the unlocking knob to unfold the track shown
in Figure 19 and firmly pull it in the indicated
direction until you see that the deployment
adjustment system moves, and push the track in
the direction shown in Figure 20 , placing it in the
desired position (Position 1, Position 2, Position 3)
as it suits you, depending on the conditions you are
in when moving the chair up the stairs.
2. Verify that the system has been locked by pushing
it as if you wanted to close it. If the blockage is
completely engaged, the track system will not
close.
CLOSING THE TRACK SYSTEM
1. Hold the release knob to unfold the track shown in
Figure 19 and pull firmly in the indicated direction
until you see the deployment regulation system
move, close the track in the direction shown in Figure
21 to that it is completely closed.
2. Verify that the system has been locked by pushing it
as if you wanted to open it. If the blockage is
completely engaged, the track system will not open.

OPERATION UP AND DOWN
Starting from the transport position and always with a trained sanitary technician:
UP
Attach the chair to the track as explained in page 32.
Extend the telescopic handles of the chair as explained in page 81.
Fold the backrest handles as explained in page 83.
Extend the footrest once the patient is sitting as explained in page 82.
Fasten the patient with the two belts supplied as explained in page 81.
Fix the patient’s head using the immobilizer located on the track (A).
Set the track to “stand by” by pressing the ON / OFF button on the control panel (B).
Approach the chair to the base of the ladder and gently recline the track drive above the
first steps of the ladder.
If there is a second operator, he/she must extend the telescopic handles before starting
the ride and accompany at all times during the course (2).
Press the “UP” button to go up the stairs (3).
Once the section of the stairs is finished, it is very important to fold all the necessary
elements during the plane transfer (4).
DOWN
Approach the chair to the beginning of the stairs.
In case there is a second operator, he/she should help placing the chair at the beginning
of the ladder and should assist the inclination of the track.
Press the “DOWN” button to go down the stairs (3).
The patient should stay fixed at all times when the lift up / down is operated.
It is not permitted in any case to mobilize patients without complying with all the safety
measures. Established.

ADJUST THE TRACK TO THE STAIRS
The PA-260 track incorporates a manual regulator that allows adjusting the slope of the track
according to the slope of the ladder. In this way an ergonomics of use is allowed during the
maneuver of up and down, being the position of the patient always of about 15º respect to
the floor.
There are 3 settings available:
BATTERY
The battery charging time is 5-6 hours. When the battery is charging, the charger light is red.
When fully charged, the light turns green. It is recommended to continue charging for an
additional hour after the green light has come on.
The battery can last 1.5 hours once fully charged, which is equivalent to going up and down
a 5-story building 30 times. When the chair is not in use, close the battery switch.
If the chair is not used for a long time, the battery should be charged every 3 months. The
battery can be charged 500 times. The service life of the battery is 3-5 years.

PROBLEM SOLVING:
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS
The electronic track system will automatically shut down if no operation has been performed in 15
minutes.
In up and down maneuvers repeatedly of up to 10 cycles uninterruptedly a 15 seconds stop must be
made mandatory for recovering the motor-reducer system of the track.
It is advisable to remove the battery from the interior of the track if it is going to go through long periods
of non-activity.
It is important to maintain a minimum of charge cycles every month to maintain good battery capacity.
Do not leave the battery uncharged for more than 2 MONTHS. It could stop working.

07.1. Cleaning
It is essential to keep the equipment clean to ensure proper use and durability of the set.
Thorough cleaning should be carried out periodically, especially in areas exposed to dirt that
can accumulate dirt such as corners or holes.
Do not use high pressure cleaning systems or bleach to disinfect the product, they can
damage it. Instead, use a hydroalcoholic-based disinfectant, wash it with water and let it dry
naturally, do not use direct heat sources to dry.
Non-compliance with cleaning operations can lead to the risk of cross infections due to the
presence of secretions and/or residues. During all control and disinfection operations, the
operator must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves, glasses, etc.
When the cleaning procedure includes a disinfectant product, carefully follow the instructions
of the manufacturer of the product used regarding the method of application and contact time.
Make sure that you have taken all the necessary precautions to ensure that there are no risks
of cross-infection or contamination of patients and operators.
07.2. Lubricating
In general, all moving parts must be greased. Our products leave the factory completely
greased and lubricated, however, it is possible that over time and use of the product the
elements become degreased, either due to loss of lubrication or due to dirt.
Periodically clean and oil affected areas according to manufacturer's specifications. Check
for loose, missing or worn parts.
Never lubricate the belts. Lubrication can cause the belts to perform unpredictably, which can
cause injury to the patient and/or operators.
07.3. Wear areas
Periodic inspection of the different components of the system for signs of wear is a
preventative measure that can reduce breakdowns. Check possible lubricant leakages,
Failure to carry out the correct cleaning routine could increase the risk of cross infection, due to
presence of body fluids and/or residuals.
The operator must always wear adequate personal protection such as gloves and mask, etc. during all
checking and cleaning procedures.
Be sure to keep these zones free of dirt.
Have special care in the cleaning to ensure good functioning of the set

grooves or bearing in poor condition. Check also, due to intensive usage, the moving parts
such the handles, the wheels and the folding system of the chair and the track.
In the event that a worn component needs to be changed, you should contact our sales
department for more information on ordering spare parts and their installation.
The repair or replacement of product components must necessarily be carried out by qualified
personnel, that is, who have received training from the Manufacturer, Promeba S.L. and
original spare parts should always be used.
Promeba S.L. declines any responsibility for any damage, direct or indirect, resulting from
improper use of spare parts and/or any repair intervention carried out by unauthorized
persons.
07.4. Maintenance program
Although the frequency of the controls is determined by factors such as legal requirements,
the type of use, the frequency of use, the environmental conditions during use and storage,
it is placed a recommendation on the maintenance that the equipment must have for correct
operation throughout its useful life.
All maintenance and revision activities must be recorded and documented with the
corresponding technical intervention reports, and the documentation must be kept for at least
10 years from the end of the product's useful life and must be made available to the
competent Authorities and/or from the Manufacturer, when requested.

For both the disinfection and cleaning procedures, point 7.1 of this manual must be followed.
During the inspection procedure, which must be done after each use, the following tasks must
be carried out:
- Check that all components are present.
- Check the integrity of the device, that is, that there are no breaks, cracks, holes or
cuts.
- Check the wear of the product following section 7.3 of this user guide.
- Check that the moving parts slide correctly.
- Check that the accessories provided are present, intact and that they function
correctly.
For some conditions of use, due to vibrations or impacts, certain elements may lose their
tightening torque or fixing properties. Periodically check for loose items, especially moving
parts. Inspect any mechanical connections. Always observe and adhere to the recommended
tightening torques.
