How your Solar Powered Deck
and Wall light works
- The solar panel converts sunlight energy into electricity during the day.
The photocell automatically turns the lights on at night with the electricity
stored in the batteries. It requires no wiring, because it runs off the
sunlight energy to recharge the batteries so there is no cost to run the
solar cap.
- The number of hours the light stays on depends on your geographical
location, weather conditions and seasonal sunlight availability.
- Easy do it yourself installation.
Each Veranda Light Includes:
- 1 solar deck & wall light
- 2 mounting screws
- 1 AA Ni-MH rechargable battery
Installation
1.) Turn the auto/off switch to on.
2.) Secure solar fi xture to desired location using two mounting
screws provided (pre-drill pilot holes to easily fasten screws.)
3.) Remove the thin clear plastic fi lm from solar panel.
4.) Allow at least 8 hours of sunlight to fully charge the
battery.
To replace The Batteries
(battery replacement is
about 1-2 years)
1.) Remove the 2 mounting screws.
2.) Turn the switch to off & remove the 3 screws located on
the back of the fi xture.
3.) Replace the battery with a new AA size 1.2v Ni-MH
rechargable battery.
4.) Re-assemble and turn auto-off switch to on.
5.) Allow the fi xture to receive a full 8 hours of sunlight to
allow the rechargable battery to reach maximum capacity.
Troubleshooting
If the light does not turn on at the dusk after 8 hours of
charging
- Check the batteries to make sure they are making secure
contact with the terminal
- Be sure the solar fi xture is in a relatively sunny location.
- Make sure the light’s photocell is not affected by other light.
Caution
- Failure to insert batteries in the correct polarity, as indicated
in the battery compartment, may shorten the life of the batteries of
cause them to explode or leak.
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargable
(nickel cadmium) or (nickel metal hydride) batteries.
- Do not dispose of batteries in fi re.
Maintenance
Periodically clean light fi xture with soft cloth and warm soapy water.
¿Como funciona la luminaria solar
para patios y murales?
- Durante el dia, el panel solar convierte la energia solar en electricdad. En la
noche, la fotocelula enciende automaticamente la luz gracias a la electricidad
almacenaen la bateria. Como la luminaria utiliza energia solar para recargar
la bateria, no requiere cableado. Por lo tanto, hacerla funcionar no implica
costo alguno.
- Los factores que determinan el numero de horas que la lampara permanece
iluminada son la ubicacion geografi ca, las condiciones climaticas y la
disponibildad de luz solar de la temporada.
- Facil de instalar por si mismo.
Cada luminaria Veranda inclyue:
- 1 luminaria solar para patios y muros
- 2 tornilos para el montaje
- 1 bateria recargable Ni-MH, AA
Instalacion
1.) Girar el interruptor de la posicion parada (auto/off) a la
posicion arranque (on)
2.) Fihar la luminaria solor en el sitio deseado utilzando los dos tornillos
de montaje provistos (perfore primero los huecos para ajustar
facilmente los tornillos).
3.) Remover la pelicula plastica transperente que cubre el panel solar.
4.) Dejar a la luz del sol por lo menos durante ocho (8) horas para
cargar completamente la bateria.
Para remplazar la bateria
(el remplazo se hace cada uno o dos anos).
1.) Sacar los dos tornillos de montaje.
2.) Girar el interruptor a la posicion parada (off) y remover los tres
tornillos ubicados en el lado posterior de la luminaria.
3.) Remplazar la bateria con una nueva bateria
recargable Ni-MH, AA de 1.2v.
4.) Reensamblar y girar el interruptor de la posicion parada (off)
a la posicion arranque (on).
5.) Dejar que la luminaria reciba ocho (8) horas completas de luz del
so para que la beteria se recargue a su maxima capacidad.
Problemas
Si la luminara no se prende al anochecer despues de haber
estado cargandose durante. 8 horas:
- Compruebe que las pilas hacen buen contacto con el terminal.
- Asegurese que la luz solar esta en un lagar relativamente soledado.
- Compruebe que a la celula fotoelectrica no le este afectando
otra fuente de luz.
Advertencia
- Si no observa la polaridad al colocar las pilas, como indica el receptaculo,
puede que duren menos, o puede que exploten o goteen.
- No mezcle pilas nuevas y usadas.
- No combine pilas alcalinas, con pilas de niquel-cadmio ni con pilas de
niquel-hidruro.
- No arroje las pilas a un fuego.
Limpieza
Limpie periodicamente la luminaria con un pano suave y agua caliente y jabon.
What is covered:
Barrette Outdoor Living warrants Solar Deck and Wall Light (exluding
battery) against defects or workmanship for as long as the warranty. Barrette Outdoor
Living will at its option replace the product in question with new product of the same
or equivalent value at no charge. This warranty extends to the original purchaser as
speci ed herein on the products noted above.
What this warranty does not cover:
This limited warranty does not cover damage
resulting from accident, unreasonable use, neglect, alteration, improper service,
improper installation, acts of God or any other causes not arising out of the defects in
materials or workmanship. Additonally, this warranty does not cover costs of installation,
removal, reinstallation or surface mold and mildew created by excessive environmental
conditions. Any service or repair provided outside the scope of this limited warranty shall
be Barrette Outdoor Living’s rate and terms then in effect.
What do we do to correct the problems?
Should our Barrette Outdoor Living product
prove defective under warranty, reference the website or call the phone number listed
below. Your problem will be assigned a tracking number and an authorized Barrette
Outdoor Living prepresentative will contact you to arrange a convenient time to schedule
an onsite inspection, or request pictures, if need be. If after inspection product is
deemed to be manufacturer defect we will make arrangements to rectify the issue.You
must have proof of your purchase in order for the problem to be corrected.
THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL CONDITIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS,
OR IMPLIED INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED CONDITIONS OR
WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
ON THE PART OF Barrette OR ITS LICENSORS, SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW
EXCLUSIONS OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
IF THE PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE PER THE ABOVE COVERAGES, YOUR SOLE AND
EXCLUSIVE REMEDY SHALL BE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED ABOVE
BARRETTE AND ITS LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES,
LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS OR INTERRUPTION OF BUSINESS WHETHER
SUCH ALLEGED DAMAGES ARE BASED IN WARRANTY, TORT, CONTRACT, OR
INDEMNITY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF LIMITATIONS OF
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY
