No es recomendado. Su calentador
está diseñado para enchufarse
directamente al tomacorriente en la
pared de 120 voltios 15 amperios o
más. Pero, si es necesario usar un cable
de extensión, el cable debe ser de un
calibre mínimo de 14 AWG y para no
menos de 2000 watts. El cable de
extensión debe tener tres patas y
conexión a tierra.
No tengo un tomacorriente con

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, and similar
indoor locations. Never locate appliance where it may fall into a bathtub or
other water container.
8. To disconnect the appliance, turn controls to off, wait for heater to cool down
and shut off, and then remove plug from outlet.
9. Connect to properly polarized outlets only. This product requires a three
prong outlet with ground.
10. Do not modify the plug provided. If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper
outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
11. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter into ventilation opening as this
may cause an electric shock, fire or damage the appliance.
12. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner.
Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
13. The heater has hot parts and sparking parts inside. Do not use in areas where

14. Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any use not recommended
by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
15. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet receptacle. Do not use an
extension cord.
16. To prevent overload and blown fuses, be sure that no other appliance is
plugged into the same outlet on the same circuit.
17. It is normal for the heater’s plug and cord to feel warm to the touch. A plug or
cord which becomes hot to the touch or becomes distorted in shape may be a
result of a worn electrical outlet (receptacle). Worn outlets or receptacles
should be replaced prior to further use of the heater. Plugging this heater into
a worn outlet (receptacle) may result in overheating of the power cord or fire.
18. Be sure that the plug is fully inserted into an appropriate receptacle.
Please remember that receptacles also deteriorate due to aging and continuous
use: check outlet and cord periodically for signs of overheating or deformations
of the plug. If any overheating or deformation is present, immediately
discontinue using the receptacle and contact a qualified electrician.
19. CAUTION: To prevent electric shock, match wide blade of plug to wide slot of
receptacle and insert completely.
20. Do not cover the appliance while it is functioning in order to avoid overheating
and/or risk of fire.
21. Do not place the heater near a bed because objects such as pillows or blankets

a) Faulty wall outlet connections or loose plugs can cause the outlet or plug to
overheat. Be sure the plug fits tight in outlet.

24. Clean the outer air filter in the rear of the heater every 30 days by vacuuming
it and/or washing it to remove dust particles. Be certain to dry the filter
completely prior to reinserting it into its position on the heater and prior to

¿Por qué el ventilador no funciona
después que he encendido el botón
POWER del calentador?
RESPUESTA
El ventilador no funcionará hasta que
el elemento de calefacción no esté lo
suficientemente caliente como para
calentar el aire. Normalmente se
enciende después de 10 segundos.
¿Por qué el ventilador continúa
funcionando después que he
apagado el botón de POWER?
El ventilador continuará funcionando
hasta que todos los elementos de
calefacción se hayan refrescado.
Después de unos minutos el ventilador
se apagará automáticamente.
Parece que el flujo del aire caliente
ha bajado. ¿Es posible?
El calentador se apagó
automáticamente y una luz roja se
iluminó en el frente del calentador.
Asegúrese de que la entrada de aire

calefacción varía según el tamaño y la
ubicación de las habitaciones. En
algunos casos, el uso de un ventilador
de techo le ayudará a distribuir el calor
en varias habitaciones al colocar la
unidad en una habitación central.

SUGERENCIAS PARA EL USO
Para asegurar el desempeño máximo del calentador, tome en cuenta las
siguientes recomendaciones.
1. Para mejor resultado, no ubique el calentador en un área de mucho movimiento y
filtración del aire ya que el aire caliente no será suficiente.
2. Coloque el calentador en un área más caliente de la habitación y dirija la salida
del aire hacia una pared más fría. La pared más fría atraerá el calor generado
por el calentador, lo que permitirá que la habitación se caliente de manera más
eficiente.
3. El colocar el calentador a una salida de aire frío atraerá el calor hacia esa área y
no permitirá que se caliente el área deseada. Trate de cerrar o cubrir las salidas de
aire frío. Esto permitirá que se caliente la habitación de manera más eficiente.
Coloque el calentador en diferentes lugares para determinar el lugar que resulte
más eficiente.
4. Para asegurar una eficiencia máxima, se debe mantener una humedad de 40%
(mínimo) en el área que se va a calentar.
5. El calentador está diseñado para operar a una eficiencia máxima de 80-82 grados.
Dado al concepto de calor suave, una temperatura de 68 grados se siente como si
fuera 72 grados. Esto es debido a que el calor se mezcla con la humedad para un
confort de “pie a cabeza”.
6. Cuando el calentador se coloca en un área aislada, como en un sótano o área de
recreación, las rejillas de los sistemas de calefacción de esas habitaciones se deben
cerrar si es posible.
7. Trate de colocar el calentador a unos pies por encima del piso en habitaciones con
piso de concreto. Asegúrese de que el calentador quede seguro y no se pueda caer.
Esto permitirá que se caliente de manera más eficiente dado a que el aire caliente
cae y es atraído hacia el piso de concreto.
8. Trate de bajar su sistema de calefacción central a una temperatura más baja y
coloque el calentador en el área donde va a estar más tiempo. Programe el
calentador a su nivel de confort. Esto ayudará a reducir el consumo de energía.
9. Al calentar un área más grande, coloque el calentador en un área central. Si tiene
un ventilador de techo en esa habitación, úselo para distribuir el calor de manera
más pareja.
10. Si se usa el calentador en áreas muy sucias o de mucho polvo, será necesario limpiar
el filtro más a menudo ya que el polvo puede hacer que el calentador deje de

Fan Adjust button: Adjust the fan to function at High or Low mode
Delay Timer Setting button: Set the delay timer from 1-23 hours before heater
turns on.
Purifier Indication: Indicates that the air purifier is working
Humidifier and Add indicates that the humidifier is working. When water is
Water mode: lower than water line, LCD will display Add Water mode.
The humidifier will stop automatically when Add Water
mode activates
Heating Up mode: Indicates the heater is heating up. (Note: the fan
will not operate while the heater is heating up.)
Cooling Down mode: Indicates the heater is cooling down. (Note: the fan will
automatically turn off when the heater has completed
its cool down function.)

OPERATING YOUR HEATER
HOW TO OPERATE THE HEATER
NOTE: The heater may emit a slight harmless smoke when first used. This smoke is a
normal condition caused by initial heating of the infrared element. It will occur only
briefly and is not harmful.
1. Un-package heater: cut open tape area, fold back flaps and gently turn entire box
upside down. Lift box from Styrofoam packing. Remove Styrofoam, turn upright. We
recommend keeping the package for off-season storage and any transporting needs.
2. Position: Find a level and unobstructed location to place the unpackaged heater.
3. Plug in: Plug the power cord directly into an unused grounded 120 volt 15 amp or
higher circuit receptacle.
4. Power Switch: Press the Power Switch on the back of the unit to the "on" position
prior to pressing the Power button on the LCD panel.
5. Power On unit: After pressing down
the POWER button to turn on the
heater, the default setting of the
heater will be the Air Purifier is ON.
The air purifier will work to purify
the room. The LCD will show the
actual room temperature, see Fig. 4.
Heater ON/OFF:
Press the HEATER power button to turn
on or off the heating function of the
heater. The fan will not operate until the
heating element has reached a
temperature high enough to begin the
warming process. During the period that
the fan will not work, the message
“HEATING UP” will show on the LCD
display to indicate that the heater is
heating up, see Fig. 5.
When the user presses the HEATER
button, if the actual room temperature
is higher than the default setting
temperature of ”70ºF”, the heater will
not start heating and LCD will show
”COOLING DOWN.” Adjust the desired
temperature up to a number higher than
the actual room temperature, see Fig. 6.
Room Setting:
Press the ROOM SETTING button to adjust
the power level based on the room size.
The heater has 3 power settings and can
be used for Small, Medium and Large
sized rooms as follows:
Small = 500 Watts; Medium = 1000 Watts;
Large= 1500 Watts.

CÓMO LIMPIAR EL HUMIDIFICADOR
NO USE VINAGRE PARA LIMPIAR ESTE HUMIDIFICADOR. Si no va a usar el
humidificador por un periodo de tiempo (durante el verano), saque toda el agua del
tanque y séquelo con un paño suave. No trate de usar el humidificador sin agua ya que
esto dañará la unidad e invalidará la garantía.
CÓMO LIMPIAR EL FILTRO DEL PURIFICADOR DE AIRE
Su calentador tiene un purificador de aire con PCO (oxidación foto-catalítica) que
combina luz ultravioleta de alta intensidad con un filtro con tecnología tipo colmena
de carbón activado.
El filtro de esta unidad se debe lavar a menudo para asegurar el desempeño máximo
del purificador de aire y del calentador. Para limpiar el purificador de aire, siga
estos pasos:
1. Retire el tornillo y abra la cubierta del filtro en la parte trasera del calentador para
sacar el filtro con cuidado.
2. Use una aspiradora para limpiar el filtro o límpielo con agua para eliminar el polvo.
Rocíe el agua en la dirección opuesta al flujo del aire hasta que el agua salga clara.
3. Es posible que el agua salga sucia así que tenga cuidado de no hacerlo sobre
superficies que se puedan manchar como alfombras. También puede meter el filtro
en agua con una pequeña cantidad de detergente para fregar (no olvide enjuagar
el filtro luego de lavarlo con detergente).
4. Limpie el filtro del purificador de aire cada 30 días para mantener el buen
desempeño.

OPERATING YOUR HEATER
HOW TO REFILL THE HUMIDIFIER WATER TANK
The Humidifier Water Tank is located on top of the unit. To fill the tank, simply remove
the tank cover (Fig.10) and remove the tank (Fig. 11), unscrew the cap (Fig. 12), and fill
it with distilled or clean tap water (Fig. 13). Replace the cap and carefully place the
tank back in the unit until it seats on the base of the Humidifier.
NOTE: Cap side goes down inside as shown on Fig 11.

Selección de la Temperatura:
Presione
el botón de TEMP UP o TEMP DOWN para
seleccionar la temperatura deseada. La
temperatura se puede cambiar entre
60-90ºF. Al presionar el botón de HEATER,
el calentador entrará en la temperatura
por defecto de 70ºF vea la Figura 7.
Selección del Humidificador: CUIDADO:
No trate de usar el humidificador sin agua
ya que esto dañará la unidad e invalidará
la garantía. Antes de presionar el botón del
humidificador asegúrese de que el tanque
de agua esté lleno. Vea “CÓMO LLENAR
EL TANQUE DE AGUA” en la página 10.
Presione el botón de HUMIDIFICADOR
para encender/apagar el humidificador.
Presione el botón una vez y la unidad
empezará a humidificar hasta que se use
toda el agua. Luego el panel LCD indicará
ADD WATER para que se añada agua.
Vea la Figura 8. Presione el botón dos
veces y el humidificador se apagará.
Temporizador programable: Presione
este botón para seleccionar la cantidad
de horas deseadas, y la unidad dejará de
funcionar y no comenzará de nuevo hasta
que pase la cantidad de tiempo seleccionada,
vea la Figura 9. Por ejemplo, programe el
temporizador para 8 horas antes de acostarse
a las 10:00 pm, y la unidad se encenderá a las 6:00 am. Puede escoger un tiempo entre
1 a 23 horas. Para apagar el temporizador programable, presione el botón dos veces y la
unidad regresará al modo normal.
Ajuste del ventilador: Presione el botón FAN para ajustar la velocidad de ALTA
a BAJA. Presione el botón de nuevo para cambiar de BAJO a ALTO.
Apagar el calentador: Presione el botón de “power” para apagar todas las
funciones. El ventilador continuará funcionando hasta que la unidad se refresque y
entonces se apagará. La pantalla LCD indicará COOLING DOWN para mostrar
que se está enfriando.
Función de Auto-Recuperación: Si la temperatura interna de su calentador llegara
a pasar un límite predefinido, el calentador se apagará automáticamente, y una luz
LED roja se iluminará en el recibidor inalámbrico en la parte delantera del calentador.
Revise para asegurar que nada esté bloqueando la entrada de aire en la parte trasera,
o la salida de aire caliente en la parte delantera. También revise que ningún otro
aparato esté funcionando en el mismo circuito del calentador. Espere unos minutos
para que el calentador se refresque, luego presione el botón de POWER para
encenderlo de nuevo.

OPERACION DE SU CALENTADOR
CÓMO OPERAR EL CALENTADOR
NOTA: Este calentador puede emitir un poco de humo cuando se usa la primera vez.
Este humo es una condición normal como resultado de la calefacción inicial del
elemento infrarrojo. Esto sólo pasa brevemente y no es peligroso.
1. Desempaquetar el calentador: corte la cinta, doble las aletas del cartón y levemente
gire la caja boca abajo. Retire la caja del envoltorio de espuma de poliestireno.
Saque la espuma de poliestireno y gírelo bocarriba. Nosotros recomendamos que
guarde la caja para que pueda almacenar su calentador cuando no esté en uso o
si lo necesita transportar.
2. Ubicación: busque un lugar que no esté obstruido y que esté a nivel para colocar
el calentador.
3. Enchufar: enchufe el cable directamente a un tomacorriente que no esté en uso y
que tenga 120 voltios 15 amperios o un circuito más alto.
4. Interruptor de Encendido: Presione el interruptor en la parte trasera de la unidad

Calentador ON/OFF:
Presione el botón de HEATER para encender

HOW TO CLEAN THE HUMIDIFIER
DO NOT USE VINEGAR TO CLEAN THIS HUMIDIFIER. If you are not going to use
the humidifier for an extended period of time (during warm weather), drain all water
out of the bottle and chamber and dry it out as much as possible using a soft towel.
Do not attempt to run humidifier without water as this will damage the unit and nullify
the warranty.
HOW TO CLEAN THE AIR PURIFIER FILTER
Your heater comes with a PCO (Photo-Catalytic Oxidation) air purifier that
combines high-intensity UV light with superior activated carbon honeycomb filter
technology
The lifetime washable air filter needs to be cleaned on a regular basis to ensure
maximum performance of the air purifier and of the heater itself. To clean the Air
Purifier, follow these simple steps:
1. Remove the filter by unscrewing screw and opening the filter cover on the back
of the heater and carefully pulling the filter out.
2. Clean the filter by vacuuming it with an attachment, or run warm water over it to
remove dust. Run the water in the opposite direction of the air flow until the water
runs clear.
3. The filter might excrete some filtered residue, so be cautious not to drip on any
stainable surfaces such as carpeting. You can also soak the filter in water mixed
with a small amount of mild dish soap (don't forget to rinse with water after
soaking the filter).
4. Clean the air purifier filter every 30 days in order to maintain performance.

4. Shake the filter over a sink until excess water is removed and allow it to dip dry
completely allowing up to 24 hours before reinstalling filter back to the heater.
5. DO NOT force the filter to dry using any alternative methods
6. Reinstall the filter to the rear of the unit by positioning the filter back in place
CARE AND CLEANING TIPS
• Ensure that the heater is turned off (the switch on the back of the unit should be in
the off position. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet before cleaning.
• Carefully wipe the exterior of the heater with a soft, damp (not wet) cloth and dry
thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.
• Over time dust may accumulate on the front vent of the heater. This can be removed
by wiping with a damp cloth, or carefully cleaning using a vacuum cleaner with
brush attachment.
• Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners to clean your heater, as these will damage
the surface.
• Clean the filter on the back of the heater every 30 days to maintain performance.
• Do not run humidifier without water – this will void the warranty.

PERFORMANCE SUGGESTIONS
To assure maximum performance of the heater, please note the following
recommendations:
1. For best result, do not locate the heater in an area with a high rate of air filtration
and movement as the warm air will be exhausted.
2. Try placing the heater near a warmer inside wall and direct the output towards a
cooler outside wall. The cooler outside wall will tend to draw the generated heat
towards itself, which will allow for more efficient heating.
3. Placing the heater next to a cold air return will draw the heat away from area to be
heated. Try closing or covering the cold air return. This will allow for more efficient
heating. Experiment with the placement of the heater to see what works best for you.
4. To ensure maximum efficiency, a 40% (minimum) relative humidity should be
maintained in the heated environment.
5. The heater is designed to operate for maximum efficiency up to 80-82 degree range.
Due to the soft heat concept, temperatures at 68 degrees feel as though it were
72 degrees. This is due to the heat mixing with humidity evenly for “head-to-toe”
comfort.
6. When the heater is placed in an isolated area, i.e. basement or recreation area,
the delivery registers and air return grills of the existing system should be closed in
that area if possible.
7. Try placing the heater a few feet above the floor in rooms with large areas of bare
concrete. Make sure the heater is secure and won't fall. This will allow for more
efficient heating since concrete acts as a heat sink and will tend to draw the heat
in its direction.
8. Try lowering your central heating system to a lower temperature and placing the
heater in the area you spend the majority of your time. Now set the heater to your
comfort level. This will help reduce your overall energy consumption.
9. When heating larger areas, place the heater in a central location. If a ceiling fan is
nearby, try using it at the same time to help distribute the heat evenly.
10. If used in an extremely dirty or dusty area, the filter must be cleaned more frequently
as the filter can clog and cause the heater to stop working. Please refer to “How to
Clean the Air Purifier Filter” in this manual for cleaning instructions.

This smoke is a normal condition caused by initial heating of the infrared element. It will occur only briefly and is not harmful. 1. We recommend keeping the package for off-season storage and any transporting needs. 2. Position: Find a level and unobstructed location to place the unpackaged heater. 3. Plug in: Plug the power cord directly into an unused grounded 120 volt 15 amp or higher circuit receptacle. 4. Power Switch: Press the Power Switch on the back of the unit to the "on" position prior to pressing the Power button on the LCD panel. 5. Power On unit: After pressing down Fig. 4 the POWER button to turn on the heater, the default setting of the heater will be the Air Purifier is ON. The air purifier will work to purify the room. The fan will not operate until the heating element has reached a temperature high enough to begin the warming process. During the period that the fan will not work, the message “HEATING UP” will show on the LCD display to indicate that the heater is heating up, see Fig. 5. When the user presses the HEATER button, if the actual room temperature is higher than the default setting temperature of ”70ºF”, the heater will not start heating and LCD will show ”COOLING DOWN.” Adjust the desired temperature up to a number higher than the actual room temperature, see Fig. 6. To fill the tank, simply remove the tank cover (Fig.10) and remove the tank (Fig. 11), unscrew the cap (Fig. 12), and fill it with distilled or clean tap water (Fig. 13). HOW TO CLEAN THE HUMIDIFIER DO NOT USE VINEGAR TO CLEAN THIS HUMIDIFIER. If you are not going to use the humidifier for an extended period of time (during warm weather), drain all water out of the bottle and chamber and dry it out as much as possible using a soft towel. Do not attempt to run humidifier without water as this will damage the unit and nullify the warranty. HOW TO CLEAN THE AIR PURIFIER FILTER Your heater comes with a PCO (Photo-Catalytic Oxidation) air purifier that combines high-intensity UV light with superior activated carbon honeycomb filter technology The lifetime washable air filter needs to be cleaned on a regular basis to ensure maximum performance of the air purifier and of the heater itself. To clean the Air Purifier, follow these simple steps: 1. Remove the filter by unscrewing screw and opening the filter cover on the back of the heater and carefully pulling the filter out. Clean the filter by vacuuming it with an attachment, or run warm water over it to remove dust. Run the water in the opposite direction of the air flow until the water runs clear. 3. The filter might excrete some filtered residue, so be cautious not to drip on any stainable surfaces such as carpeting. You can also soak the filter in water mixed with a small amount of mild dish soap (don't forget to rinse with water after soaking the filter). 4. This can be removed by wiping with a damp cloth, or carefully cleaning using a vacuum cleaner with brush attachment. • Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners to clean your heater, as these will damage the surface. • Clean the filter on the back of the heater every 30 days to maintain performance. • Do not run humidifier without water – this will void the warranty. Always unplug heater when not in use. 12 PERFORMANCE SUGGESTIONS To assure maximum performance of the heater, please note the following recommendations: 1. For best result, do not locate the heater in an area with a high rate of air filtration and movement as the warm air will be exhausted. 2. Try placing the heater near a warmer inside wall and direct the output towards a cooler outside wall. The cooler outside wall will tend to draw the generated heat towards itself, which will allow for more efficient heating. 3. Placing the heater next to a cold air return will draw the heat away from area to be heated. Try closing or covering the cold air return. This will allow for more efficient heating. Experiment with the placement of the heater to see what works best for you. 4. To ensure maximum efficiency, a 40% (minimum) relative humidity should be maintained in the heated environment. 5. The heater is designed to operate for maximum efficiency up to 80-82 degree range. Due to the soft heat concept, temperatures at 68 degrees feel as though it were 72 degrees. This is due to the heat mixing with humidity evenly for “head-to-toe” comfort. 6. When the heater is placed in an isolated area, i.e. basement or recreation area, the delivery registers and air return grills of the existing system should be closed in that area if possible. 7. Try placing the heater a few feet above the floor in rooms with large areas of bare concrete. Make sure the heater is secure and won't fall. This will allow for more efficient heating since concrete acts as a heat sink and will tend to draw the heat in its direction. 8. Try lowering your central heating system to a lower temperature and placing the heater in the area you spend the majority of your time. Now set the heater to your comfort level. This will help reduce your overall energy consumption. 9. When heating larger areas, place the heater in a central location. If a ceiling fan is nearby, try using it at the same time to help distribute the heat evenly. 10. If used in an extremely dirty or dusty area, the filter must be cleaned more frequently as the filter can clog and cause the heater to stop working.
