DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The LMRC-1CA is a 3/4” KO conduit adapter designed to enable the LMRC-11x 10A rated room controllers to be
mounted inside an electrical junction box to meet local electrical codes where all wiring is required to be installed
inside of a conduit. For proper mounting, the minimum J-Box dimensions are 4-11/16” square by 2-1/8” deep with 3/4”
knockouts (also known as a 5” box or 11B).
NOTE: For City of Chicago applications a sealed J-Box is required. Recommended J-Box is Garvin Industries item
number 72171-3/4-VT (or equivalent)
NOTE: The LMRC-1CA is not recommend for use with the LMRC-111-16M due to operating temperature issues.
INSTALLATION
1. If desired a 3/4” rigid box spacer (not included) can be used to help secure the two J-Boxes together. If using, remove the outer
knockouts on one side of the J-Box and then attach the rigid box spacer to the J-Box that will hold the LMRC-111/112. Otherwise,
remove only the knockout corresponding to the location of the nipple on the LMRC-11x.
2. Insert the LMRC-11x into the J-Box with the wires sticking out of the knockout opening. Adjust the nut on the nipple so that the
nipple extends out of the J-Box at least 1/4”.
3. Screw the conduit adapter onto the nipple with the notched triangle pointing away from the J-Box, as shown below. The conduit
adapter should turn about 2 to 2 1/2 times before tightening. The triangle should be facing up, as shown.
4. Attach the J-Box with the room controller to the J-Box connected to the conduit, using locking nuts to secure.
