1 DESCRIPTION

1.1 PURPOSE

This machine is used for domestic lawn mowing. The

cutting blade must be approximately parallel to the

ground. All four wheels must touch the ground while you

mow.

2 READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER

This machine was built to be operated according to

the rules for safe operation included in this manual. As

with any type of power equipment, carelessness or

error on the part of the operator can result in serious

injury. This machine is capable of amputating hands

and feet and throwing objects. Failure to observe all

safety instructions could result in serious injury or

death.

NOTE

When using electric lawn mowers, basic safety

precautions should always be followed to reduce the

risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. These

basic precautions include the following:

2.1 CHILDREN AND BYSTANDERS

Tragic accidents can occur if the operator is not alert to

the presence of children or bystanders.

• Keep the area of operation clear of all persons,

particularly small children, and pets.

• Use extreme care when approaching blind corners,

doorways, shrubs, trees, or other objects that may

obscure your vision of a child or bystander. Keep

children, bystanders, helpers and pets at least 100

feet (30m) from the mower while it is in operation.

Stop the machine if anyone enters the area.

• Never allow children under 14 years old to operate a

power mower. Operators 14 years old and over

should fully read and understand the operator’s

manual and safety rules. Only responsible

individuals who are familiar with these rules of safe

operation should be allowed to use this machine.

2.2 GENERAL OPERATION

• Read this operator’s manual carefully in its entirety

before assembling or operating this machine. Read,

understand, and follow all instructions on the

machine and in the manuals before operation.

Familiarize yourself with the controls and proper use

of this machine before operation. Save this manual

for future and regular reference.

• Do not use the lawn mower for any job except that

for which it is intended. Your lawn mower has been

designed to perform only one job: cut grass.

• Don’t force the lawn mower, it will do the job better

and more safely at the rate for which it was

designed.

• Don’t overreach, keep proper footing and balance at

all times. Many injuries occur as a result of the

mower being pulled over the foot during a fall

caused by slipping or tripping. A slip and fall can

cause serious personal injury. If you feel you are

losing your footing, release the control handle

immediately and the blade will stop rotating within

three seconds.

• Never pull the mower back toward you while you are

walking. If you must back the mower away from a

wall or obstruction, first look down and behind you to

avoid tripping, and then follow these steps:

• Step back from the mower in order to fully

extend your arms.

• Be sure that you are well balanced.

• Pull the mower back slowly.

• Before and while moving backwards with the

mower, look behind and down for small children and

other people.

• Do not operate the mower while under the influence

of alcohol or drugs. Stay alert and watch what you

are doing at all times. Use common sense and do

not operate the lawn mower when you are tired.

• Always wear safety glasses or safety goggles during

operation and while performing an adjustment or

repair to protect your eyes. Thrown objects that

ricochet can cause serious injury to the eyes.

Always use a face or dust mask if the operation is

dusty.

• Keep clear of the discharge opening at all times. Do

not put hands or feet near rotating parts or under the

cutting deck. Contact with the blade can amputate

hands and feet.

• Plan your mowing pattern to avoid discharge of

material toward roads, sidewalks, bystanders and

the like. Also, avoid discharging material against

walls or obstructions, which may cause discharged

material to ricochet back toward the operator.

• To help avoid the blade or an injury from a thrown

objects, stay in the operator zone behind the

handles.

• A missing or damaged discharge cover can cause

blade contact or injuries from thrown objects.

• Objects struck by the lawn mower blade can cause

severe injuries to persons. The lawn should always

be carefully examined and cleared of all objects

prior to each mowing.

• Stop the blade when crossing gravel drives, walks

or roads.

• If lawn mower strikes a foreign object, follow these

steps:

• Release the bail switch to disengage the motor.

• Remove the battery.

• Inspect for damage.

• Repair and damaged parts before restarting and

operating the lawn mower.

• Dress properly, do not wear loose clothing or jewelry

that can be caught in moving parts. Use of safety

gloves and proper footwear is recommended when

working outdoors. Wear sturdy, rough-soled work

shoes and close-fitting slacks and shirts. Shirts and

pants that cover the arms and legs and steel-toed

shoes are recommended. Never operate this

machine in bare feet, sandals, slippery or lightweight

(e.g., canvas) shoes.

• Avoid dangerous environments, do not use the lawn

mower in damp/wet locations or if it is raining.

• When not in use the mower should be store in a dry

and locked location. Always remove the battery from

the mower before storing.

• Mow only in daylight or good artificial light. Walk,

never run while operating.

• If the equipment should start to vibrate abnormally,

immediately stop the motor, remove the battery and

check for the cause. Vibration is generally a warning

that the machine is not functioning properly.

• Before cleaning the machine, unclogging or

removing the grass bag, mulching insert, or side

discharge chute, turn the motor off and wait until the

blade comes to a complete stop, then remove the

battery pack. The cutting blade continues to rotate

for a few seconds after the motor is shut off. Never

perform these functions until you are sure the blade

has stopped rotating.

• Keep cutting edges clean and sharp to ensure best

performance.

• Periodically inspect safety devices and cords for

damage. If damaged do not operate the unit until it

has been repaired by an authorized service

professional.

• Never operate the mower without the proper

discharge cover, grass bag, mulching insert, side

discharge chute, or other safety devices in place

and working. Never operate the mower with

damaged safety devices. Failure to do so can result

in personal injury.

• Use only the following approved batteries and

chargers. Non approved batteries and chargers may

cause damage to the mower or injure the operator.

• Do not dispose of the battery in a fire. The cells

could catch fire or explode. Check with local codes

and waste management for proper disposal

instructions.

• Do not open or mutilate the battery. Electrolytes

contained within the battery are corrosive and may

cause damage to eyes or skin if released. It may be

toxic if swallowed.

• Exercise care in handling batteries to avoid shorting

the battery with conducting materials such as rings,

bracelets, keys, etc. The battery or conductor may

overheat and cause burns if contact with said

materials is made.

2.3 SLOPE OPERATION

Slopes are a major factor related to slip-and-fall

accidents, which can result in severe injury. Operation

on slopes requires extra caution. If you feel uneasy on a

slope, do not mow it.

Do:

• Mow across the face of slopes; never mow up and

down. Exercise extreme caution when changing

direction on slopes.

• Watch for holes, ruts, rocks, hidden objects, or

bumps which can cause you to slip or trip. Tall grass

can hide obstacles.

Do not:

• Do not mow near drop-offs, ditches or

embankments; you could lose your footing or

balance.

• Do not mow slopes greater than 15 degrees, as

shown on the slope gauge.

• Do not mow on wet grass. Unstable footing could

cause slipping.

2.4 SERVICE/MAINTENANCE

• Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight in order to

ensure the equipment is in safe working condition.

• Never remove or tamper with safety devices. Check

their proper operation regularly. Never do anything

to interfere with the intended function of a safety

device or to reduce the protection provided by a

safety device.

• Keep machine free of grass, leaves, or other debris

build up. Allow machine to cool before storing.

• Never make any adjustments or repairs with the

motor running.

• Always remove battery pack from mowers before

adjusting, cleaning, or repairing.

• Check grass catcher components and the discharge

guard frequently and replace with manufacturer’s

recommended parts, when necessary.

• Mower blades are sharp, and can cut. Wrap the

blades or wear gloves, and use extra caution when

servicing.

• Use identical replacement blades only.

• Maintain or replace safety and instruction labels, as

necessary.

• If situations occur that are not covered in this

manual, use care and good judgment or contact

Customer Service for assistance.

5 ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE

BATTERY DISPOSAL

The toxic and corrosive materials below are in the

batteries used in this machine: Lithium-Ion, a toxic

material.

WARNING

Discard all toxic materials in a specified manner to

prevent contamination of the environment. Before

discarding damaged or worn out Li-ion battery, contact

your local waste disposal agency, or the local

Environmental Protection Agency for information and

specific instructions. Take the batteries to a local

recycling and/or disposal center, certified for lithium-

ion disposal.

WARNING

If the battery pack cracks or breaks, with or without

leaks, do not recharge it and do not use. Discard it

and replace with a new battery pack. DO NOT TRY

TO REPAIR IT! To prevent injury and risk of fire,

explosion, or electric shock, and to avoid damage to

the environment:

• Cover the terminals of the battery with heavy-duty

adhesive tape.

• DO NOT try to remove or destroy any of the

battery pack components.

• DO NOT try to open the battery pack.

• If a leak develops, the released electrolytes are

corrosive and toxic. DO NOT get the solution in the

eyes or on skin, and do not swallow it.

• DO NOT put these batteries in your regular

household trash.

• DO NOT incinerate.

• DO NOT put them where they will become part of

any waste landfill or municipal solid waste stream.

• Take them to a certified recycling or disposal

center.

6 INSTALLATION

WARNING

Do not change or make accessories that are not

recommended by the manufacturer.

WARNING

Do not put in the safety key or the battery pack until

you assemble all the parts.

6.1 UNPACK THE MACHINE

WARNING

Make sure that you correctly assemble the machine

before use.

WARNING

• If the parts have damage, do not use the machine.

• If you do not have all the parts, do not operate the

machine.

• If the parts are damaged or missing, speak to the

service center.

1. Open the package.

2. Read the documentation in the box.

3. Remove all the unassembled parts from the box.

4. Remove the machine from the box.

5. Discard the box and package in compliance with

local regulations.

6.2 UNFOLD THE LOWER HANDLE

Figure 2.

1. Pull and turn the handle knobs 90°.

2. Unfold the lower handle.

3. Line up the handle knobs in one of the three

positions on the brackets.

4. Turn the handle knobs 90° until they engage the

holes in the brackets.

NOTE

Make sure that the two handle knobs are in the same

position.

WARNING

Do not make damage to the cables when you fold or

unfold the handle.

6.3 INSTALL THE UPPER HANDLE

1. Align the holes in the upper handle and the lower

handle.

2. Put the bolts through the holes.

3. Tighten the knobs onto the bolts.

4. Do the same operation on the other side.

6.4 INSTALL THE GRASS CATCHER

1. Remove the mulch plug.

2. Remove the side discharge chute.

3. Open the rear discharge door and hold it.

4. Hold the the grass catcher by its handle and engage

the hooks on the door rod.

5. Close the rear discharge door.

6.5 INSTALL THE MULCH PLUG

1. Remove the grass catcher.

2. Open the rear discharge door and hold it.

3. Hold the mulch plug by its handle and fit it in the

discharge chute.

4. Close the rear discharge door.

6.6 INSTALL THE SIDE DISCHARGE

CAUTION

When you use the side discharge chute,

• do not install the grass catcher.

• keep the mulch plug installed.

1. Open the side discharge door and hold it.

2. Line up the recesses of the side discharge chute

below the pivot.

3. Close the side discharge door.

6.7 SET THE BLADE HEIGHT

The machine can be set to different blade heights.

1. Pull the height adjustment lever rearward to

increase the blade height.

2. Pull the height adjustment lever forward to decrease

the blade height.

6.8 INSTALL THE BATTERY PACK

WARNING

• If the battery pack or charger is damaged, replace

the battery pack or the charger.

• Stop the machine and wait until the engine stops

before you install or remove the battery pack.

• Read, know, and do the instructions in the battery

and charger manual.

NOTE

The machine has a battery storage compartment that

helps store the battery pack.

1. Open the battery door.

2. Align the lift ribs on the battery pack with the

grooves in the battery compartment.

3. Push the battery pack into the battery compartment

until the battery pack locks into place.

4. When you hear a click, the battery pack is installed.

5. Close the battery door.

NOTE

The engine starts only when you put in the safety key.

6.9 REMOVE THE BATTERY PACK

1. Open the battery door.

2. Remove the safety key.

3. Push and hold the battery release button.

4. Remove the battery pack from the machine.

7 OPERATION

WARNING

7.1 START THE MACHINE

1. Put in the safety key.

2. Push and hold the start button.

3. While you hold the start button, pull the bail switch in

the direction of the handle bar.

4. Release the start button to start the machine.

Soft-Start

This Li-ion machine has a “soft-start” feature.

When you start the machine, it goes to full speed after

approximately 3 seconds.

NOTE

If the machine does not start, remove the battery pack

and examine the mower deck to make sure that:

• no grass catches on the blade.

• the blade can turn freely by hand.

7.2 STOP THE MACHINE

1. Release the bail switch to stop the machine.

WARNING

Wait until the blades fully stop before you start the

machine again. Do not quickly turn the machine off

and on.

WARNING

Always remove the safety key and battery pack after

you complete the work.

7.3 OPERATE THE SELF-PROPEL

SYSTEM

1. Start the machine.

2. While you hold the bail switch, push the self-propel

lever in the direction of the handle bar.

3. Hold the bail switch and the self-propel lever at the

same time with your right hand.

4. Adjust the speed control button with your left hand.

• Push the speed control button in the direction of

the Rabbit Symbol to increase the speed.

• Pull the speed control button in the direction of

the Turtle Symbol to decrease the speed.

5. Release the self-propel lever to close the self-propel

system.

7.4 EMPTY THE GRASS CATCHER

1. Stop the machine.

2. Remove the safety key.

3. Remove the battery pack.

4. Open the rear discharge door and hold it.

5. Hold the grass catcher by its handle and unhook it

from the door rod.

6. Close the rear discharge door.

7. Empty the grass catcher.

7.5 OPERATE ON SLOPES

WARNING

Do not mow on the slopes with decline more than 15°.

If you are not comfortable, do not mow on a slope.

WARNING

Please keep a low self-propelled speed when you

mow on a slope.

• Do not go up and down on a slope when you mow

across the face of the slope. Be careful when you

change the direction on a slope.

• Monitor the holes, ruts, rocks, and other hidden

objects that can cause you to fall. Remove all

obstacles such as rocks and tree limbs.

• Make sure that your footing is stable. If you are out

of balance, release the bail switch immediately.

• Do not mow near drop-offs, ditches, or

embankments.

7.6 OPERATION TIPS

• Do not tilt the machine when you start it.

• Do not put hands or feet near or below the turning

parts.

• Keep the discharge chute clean.

• Do not cut wet grass.

• Higher blade height is necessary for new or thick

grass.

• Clean the bottom of the mower deck after each use.

Remove grass clippings, leaves, dirt, and other

debris.

8 MAINTENANCE

WARNING

Remove the safety key and battery pack from the

machine before maintenance.

WARNING

Keep the engine and battery pack free from grass,

leaves or too much grease.

CAUTION

Use only approved replacement parts.

CAUTION

Do not let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based

materials touch the plastic parts. Chemicals can cause

damage to the plastic, and make the plastic

unserviceable.

CAUTION

Do not use strong solvents or detergents on the plastic

housing or components.

8.1 GENERAL MAINTENANCE

• Before each use, examine the machine for

damaged, missing, or loose parts such as screws,

nuts, bolts and caps.

• Tighten correctly all the fasteners and caps.

• Clean the machine with a dry cloth. Do not use

water.

8.2 LUBRICATION

Apply sufficient quantity of high grade lubricant to all

bearings. No more bearing lubrication is necessary in

usual operation conditions.

WARNING

Do not lubricate the wheel components. Lubrication

can cause damage to the wheel components during

operation.

8.3 REPLACE THE BLADE

WARNING

Use only approved replacement blades.

WARNING

Wear heavy gloves or wind cloth around the blade

when you touch the blade.

1. Stop the machine.

2. Make sure that the blades fully stop.

3. Remove the safety key and battery pack.

4. Turn the machine to its side.

5. Use a piece of wood to prevent the movement of the

blade.

6. Remove the mounting screw and spacer with a

wrench or socket.

7. Remove the blade.

8. Install the new blade. Make sure that the arrows

engage the holes in the blade.

9. Put in the mounting screw and spacer and tighten

them.

8.4 STOW THE MACHINE

• Clean the machine before storage.

• Make sure the engine is not hot when you stow the

machine.

• Make sure that the machine does not have loose or

damaged parts. If it is necessary, do these steps/

instructions:

• Replace the damaged parts.

• Tighten the bolts.

• Speak to a person of an approved service

center.

• Stow the machine in a dry area.

• Make sure that children cannot come near the

machine.

8.5 STAND THE MACHINE ON END

1. Remove the grass catcher.

2. Pull and turn the handle knobs 90°.

3. Fold down the handle.

4. Turn the handle knobs 90° to lock the handle into

position.

5. Stand the machine on end and make sure that the

brackets touch the floor.

Storage Switch

The machine has a storage switch that prevents its

startup in the storage position.

It is necessary to remove the safety key and the battery

pack to prevent accidental startup or unapproved use.

The storage switch does not replace this function.

9 TROUBLESHOOTING

1. Any part that has become inoperative due to

3. Normal wear, except as noted below;

4. Routine maintenance items such as lubricants,

1 DESCRIPCIÓN

1.1 FINALIDAD

Esta máquina está concebida para cortar el césped en

un entorno doméstico. La cuchilla debe estar más o

menos paralela al terreno. Las cuatro ruedas deben

estar apoyadas sobre el terreno cuando corta el

césped.

INSTRUCCIONES.

PELIGRO

Esta máquina ha sido diseñada para ser utilizada

siguiendo las medidas de seguridad incluidas en este

manual. Al igual que con otras máquinas eléctricas, la

falta de cuidado o un error por parte del operario

puede provocar lesiones graves. Este aparato es

capaz de amputar las manos o los pies y de arrojar

objetos. Si no se siguen todas las medidas de

seguridad podrían producirse lesiones graves o

mortales.

NOTA

Cuando se utilizan cortacéspedes eléctricos, siempre

se deben seguir unas medidas de seguridad básicas

para reducir el riesgo de incendio, electrocución y/o

lesiones. Estas precauciones básicas incluyen lo

2.1 NIÑOS Y TRANSEÚNTES

Si el operario no está atento a la presencia de niños y

transeúntes podrían producirse accidentes trágicos.

• No permita que personas –especialmente niños

pequeños– o animales se acerquen a la zona de

funcionamiento.

• Extreme las precauciones al aproximarse a

esquinas ciegas, puertas, arbustos, árboles u otros

objetos que no le dejen ver a niños o transeúntes.

Mantenga a los niños, transeúntes, ayudantes y

animales domésticos a 30 m (100 pies) como

mínimo del cortacésped cuando esté funcionando.

Detenga la máquina si alguien entra en el área de

trabajo.

• Nunca debe permitir que un niño menor de 14 años

utilice el cortacésped. Los usuarios de 14 años o

más deben leerse y comprender todo el manual de

instrucciones y las medidas de seguridad. Solo las

personas responsables familiarizadas con estas

medidas de seguridad y su uso correcto deben

utilizar esta máquina.

2.2 MODO DE EMPLEO GENERAL

• Lea atentamente todo el manual del operario antes

de montar o utilizar esta máquina. Antes de utilizar

la máquina, lea, comprenda y siga todas las

instrucciones en la máquina y en el manual.

Familiarícese con los controles y el uso correcto de

esta máquina antes de utilizarla. Conserve este

manual para su consulta futura y regular.

• No utilice el cortacésped para ninguna otra finalidad

diferente a la prevista. Su cortacésped ha sido

diseñado para realizar la sola tarea de cortar hierba.

• No fuerce el cortacésped. La utilización del

cortacésped a la velocidad de funcionamiento para

la que ha sido diseñada le ayudará a efectuar el

trabajo de manera más fácil y segura.

• No se estire excesivamente. Mantenga los pies bien

apoyados todo el tiempo. Muchas de las lesiones

son causadas al pasar el cortacésped por encima

del pie al resbalarse o tropezar. Si se resbala y cae

podría sufrir lesiones graves. Si siente que pierde el

apoyo, suelte la palanca de freno inmediatamente

para que la cuchilla deje de girar en pocos

segundos.

• Nunca tire del cortacésped hacia usted cuando esté

andando. Si quiere hacer retroceder el cortacésped

para alejarlo de una pared o alguna obstrucción,

mire primero hacia atrás para evitar tropiezos y siga

estos pasos:

• Aléjese del cortacésped dando un paso hacia

atrás para extender sus brazos del todo.

• Asegúrese de que tener un buen equilibrio.

• Haga retroceder el cortacésped despacio.

• Antes y durante el retroceso con el cortacésped,

deberá mirar hacia atrás y hacia abajo para

asegurarse de que no haya niños pequeños ni otras

personas.

• No utilice el cortacésped cuando se encuentre bajo

los efectos del alcohol o las drogas. Manténgase

alerta y preste siempre atención a lo que está

haciendo. Utilice el sentido común y no utilice el

cortacésped cuando esté cansado.

• Para protegerse los ojos, utilice siempre gafas de

seguridad cuando utilice el cortacésped o cuando

esté llevando a cabo algún ajuste o reparación. Los

objetos que son arrojados al ser golpeados por la

unidad puedan causar lesiones oculares graves.

Utilice siempre una máscara antipolvo si el trabajo

desprende mucho polvo.

• Manténgase alejado siempre de la apertura de

descarga. No acerque las manos o los pies a las

partes rotativas ni los meta por debajo del chasis de

la cuchilla. El contacto con la cuchilla podría causar

la amputación de manos y pies.

• Planee el recorrido del cortacésped para no

descargar los escombros en las carreteras, las

aceras, sobre los transeúntes, etc. Evite también

descargar los escombros hacia las paredes u otros

obstáculos, dado que podría salir rebotado hacia el

operario.

• Para evitar la cuchilla y las lesiones debido a la

proyección de objetos, manténgase detrás del

asidero.

• Si la tapa de la boca de descarga no está instalada

o está dañada, podrían producirse lesiones debido

al contacto con la cuchilla o a objetos que sean

arrojados.

• Los objetos golpeados por la cuchilla del

cortacésped pueden causar lesiones graves.

Siempre se debe examinar el césped y retirar

cualquier objeto antes de cortarlo.

• Detenga la cuchilla cuando vaya a cruzar paseos de

gravilla, aceras o carreteras.

• Si el cortacésped golpea algún objeto, siga estos

pasos:

• Libere la palanca de control para detener el

motor.

• Retire la batería.

• Examine la unidad en busca de daños.

• Repare las partes dañadas antes de volver a

encender y utilizar el cortacésped.

• Utilice una indumentaria apropiada. No utilice ropa

holgada o joyas que puedan quedar atrapadas en

las piezas móviles de la herramienta. Se

recomienda utilizar gafas de seguridad y calzado

apropiado cuando trabaje en exteriores. Utilice

calzado resistente, con suelas taqueadas y

pantalones y camisas ceñidas. Se recomienda

utilizar camisas y pantalones que cubran brazos y

piernas, y calzado con punta de acero. Nunca debe

utilizar esta máquina con los pies descalzos, con

unas sandalias o con unos zapatos resbaladizos o

demasiado ligeros (por ejemplo zapatillas de lona).

• Evite los entornos peligrosos. No utilice el

cortacésped en lugares húmedos o mojados o

cuando llueva.

• Cuando el cortacésped no sea utilizado, deberá

guardarlo en un lugar seco y cerrado. Extraiga

siempre la batería del cortacésped antes de

guardarlo.

• Utilice únicamente la herramienta a plena luz del día

o con una iluminación artificial adecuada. Ande a

paso normal y no corra nunca cuando trabaje con la

máquina.

• Si la unidad empieza a vibrar anormalmente,

detenga el motor inmediatamente, saque la batería

y compruebe la causa. Las vibraciones

generalmente le alertan de que la máquina no

funciona correctamente.

• Antes de limpiar la máquina, desatascar o retirar la

bolsa colectora, el accesorio de acolchado, o el

conducto lateral de descarga, apague el motor y

espere hasta que la cuchilla se haya detenido por

completo. Solo entonces debe retirar la batería. La

cuchilla continúa girando unos segundos después

de apagar el motor. Nunca lleve a cabo estas

operaciones hasta que esté seguro de que la

cuchilla se ha detenido por completo.

• Mantenga los filos de la cuchilla limpios y afilados

para asegurar un rendimiento óptimo.

• Revise periódicamente los dispositivos de seguridad

y los cables en busca de posibles daños. Si la

máquina está dañada, no deberá volver a utilizarla

hasta que haya sido reparada por un servicio

técnico profesional y autorizado.

• Nunca debe utilizar el cortacésped si la tapa de la

boca de descarga, la bolsa colectora, el accesorio

de acolchado, el conducto lateral de descarga u

otros dispositivos de seguridad no están

correctamente instalados o en buen estado. Nunca

debe poner el cortacésped en funcionamiento si

alguno de sus dispositivos de seguridad está

dañado, de lo contrario podría sufrir alguna lesión.

• Utilice solamente las baterías y los cargadores

autorizados a continuación. Las baterías y los

cargadores no autorizados pueden causar daños en

el cortacésped o lesiones al operario.

• No deseche la batería arrojándola al fuego, dado

que podría incendiarse o explotar. Revise las

normas locales relacionadas con la gestión de

residuos para información sobre su desecho

apropiado.

• No abra ni mutile la batería. Los electrolitos del

interior de la batería son corrosivos y pueden

causar lesiones en los ojos o la piel al fugarse. Su

ingestión puede resultar tóxica.

• Tenga cuidado durante la manipulación de las

baterías para no causar un cortocircuito con

materiales conductores como anillos, pulseras,

llaves, etc. La batería o el material conductor

podrían calentarse en exceso y provocar

quemaduras al tocarlos.

2.3 TRABAJOS EN PENDIENTES

Las pendientes son un factor importante en los

accidentes graves causados por las caídas. El trabajo

en pendientes requiere la máxima precaución. No corte

el césped en una pendiente si no se siente seguro.

Haga lo siguiente:

• Corte el césped siempre en dirección perpendicular

a la cara de la pendiente; nunca en la dirección de

la pendiente. Tenga mucho cuidado cuando cambie

de dirección en las pendientes.

• Esté atento a agujeros, surcos, piedras, objetos

ocultos o montículos que puedan hacerle resbalar o

tropezar. La hierba crecida puede ocultar

obstáculos.

No haga lo siguiente:

• No corte el césped cerca de desniveles, zanjas o

terraplenes; podría perder el apoyo o el equilibrio.

• No corte el césped en lugares con una pendiente

superior a 15 grados (mostrado en el calibre de

pendiente).

• No corte la hierba mojada. Si no tiene un apoyo

seguro, podría resbalarse.

2.4 SERVICIO Y MANTENIMIENTO

• Compruebe que todas las tuercas, fijaciones y

tornillos estén bien apretados para garantizar el

buen estado y el funcionamiento seguro de la

unidad.

• Nunca quite o modifique los dispositivos de

seguridad. Compruebe regularmente que funcionan

adecuadamente. Nunca haga algo que pueda

interferir con el funcionamiento previsto de un

dispositivo de seguridad o que pudiera mermar la

protección proporcionada por dicho dispositivo.

• Procure que no se acumule hierba, hojas u otros

residuos en la máquina. Espere a que la máquina

se enfríe antes de guardarla.

• Nunca haga ajustes o reparaciones con el motor en

marcha.

• Saque siempre la batería de los cortacéspedes

antes de ajustarlos, limpiarlos o repararlos.

• Revise los componentes colectores de hierba y la

tapa del conducto de descarga y reemplácelos con

piezas de repuesto del fabricante cuando sea

necesario.

• Las hojas de la cuchilla del cortacésped están

afiladas y pueden causar cortes. Envuelva las hojas

–o utilice unos guantes– y manipúlelas con mucho

cuidado.

• Utilice sólo cuchillas de repuesto idénticas.

• Mantenga las etiquetas de instrucciones y

seguridad en buen estado, o reemplácelas cuando

sea necesario.

• En caso de que se presentara una situación no

descrita en este manual, actúe con cautela y

sentido común o póngase en contacto con el

servicio de atención al cliente.

5 ELIMINACIÓN DE LA BATERÍA

DE MODO ECOLÓGICO

Los siguientes materiales tóxicos y corrosivos se

encuentran en la batería utilizada por este aparato: El

ión-litio es un material tóxico.

AVISO

Elimine todos los materiales tóxicos del modo

adecuado para evitar la contaminación del medio

ambiente. Antes de desechar una batería de ión-litio

dañada o agotada, póngase en contacto con la

agencia local de eliminación de desechos, o la

Agencia Local de Protección del Medio Ambiente para

informarse y recibir instrucciones específicas. Lleve

las baterías a un punto local de reciclaje y eliminación

de desechos, certificado para la eliminación de ión-

litio.

líquido, no deberá recargarla ni utilizarla. Deséchela y

6 INSTALACIÓN

AVISO

No utilice o diseñe accesorios no recomendados por

el fabricante.

6.1 DESEMBALAR LA MÁQUINA

Asegúrese de montar correctamente la máquina antes

de utilizarla.

• Si hay alguna pieza dañada, no utilice la máquina.

• Si falta alguna pieza, no utilice la máquina.

• Si falta alguna pieza o está dañada, póngase en

contacto con el servicio técnico.

1. Abra el envase.

2. Lea la documentación incluida en la caja.

3. Extraiga todas las pieza desmontadas de la caja.

4. Extraiga la máquina de la caja.

5. Deseche la caja y el envase siguiente la normativa

local.

6.2 CÓMO DESPLEGAR EL ASIDERO

INFERIOR

1. Tire de la perilla del asidero y gírela 90°.

2. Despliegue el asidero inferior.

3. Alinee las perillas del asidero con una de las tres

posiciones de fijación.

4. Gire la perilla del asidero 90° hasta que quede

encajada a uno de los agujeros de fijación.

NOTA

Asegúrese de que ambas perillas del asidero están en

la misma posición.

Procure no dañar el cable cuando pliegue o

despliegue el asidero.

6.3 INSTALACIÓN DEL ASIDERO

6.5 INSTALACIÓN DEL ACCESORIO

DE ACOLCHADO

3. Cierre la puerta del conducto de descarga lateral.

6.7 AJUSTE DE LA ALTURA DE LA

CUCHILLA

La cuchilla de la máquina puede ajustarse a diferentes

alturas.

para aumentar la altura de la cuchilla.

2. Tire de la palanca de ajuste hacia delante para

6.8 INSTALACIÓN DE LA BATERÍA

• Reemplace la batería o el cargador si llegaran a

dañarse.

• Pare la máquina y espere a que el motor se

detenga antes de instalar o desinstalar la batería.

• Lea, comprenda y siga las instrucciones de la

batería y el cargador.

NOTA

La máquina incluye un compartimento para guardar la

batería.

1. Abra la tapa del compartimento de la batería.

2. Alinee las nervaduras de la batería con las ranuras

del compartimento.

3. Introduzca la batería en el compartimento hasta que

quede encajada en su sitio.

4. Cuando escuche un clic, la batería estará instalada.

7.1 CÓMO PONER LA MÁQUINA EN

MARCHA

1. Inserte la llave de seguridad.

2. Mantenga pulsado el botón de encendido.

3. Mientras presiona el botón de encendido, tire de la

palanca de freno en la dirección del asidero.

4. Suelte el botón de encendido para arrancar la

máquina.

Arranque gradual

Esta batería de litio incluye una función de arranque

gradual.

Cuando encienda la máquina, tardará unos 3 segundos

en alcanzar la máxima velocidad.

NOTA

Si la máquina no se pone en marcha, saque la batería

y examine el chasis del cortacésped para asegurarse

de lo siguiente:

• No hay hierbas atrapadas en la cuchilla.

• La cuchilla puede girar con libertad al empujarla

con la mano.

7.2 CÓMO DETENER LA MÁQUINA

1. Suelte la palanca de freno para detener la máquina.

AVISO

Espere a que la cuchilla se haya detenido del todo

antes de volver a arrancar la máquina. No apague y

vuelva a encender la máquina al instante.

AVISO

Retire siempre la llave de seguridad y la batería

cuando termine de trabajar.

7.3 CÓMO USAR EL SISTEMA DE

AUTOPROPULSIÓN

1. Ponga la máquina en funcionamiento.

2. Mientras presiona la palanca de freno, empuje la

palanca de autopropulsión en la dirección del

asidero.

3. Sujete la palanca de freno y la palanca de

autopropulsión simultáneamente con su mano

derecha.

4. Ajuste el regulador de velocidad con su mano

izquierda.

• Empuje el regulador de la velocidad hacia el

símbolo del conejo para aumentar la velocidad.

• Tire del regulador de la velocidad hacia el

símbolo de la tortuga para disminuir la

velocidad.

5. Suelte la palanca de autopropulsión para desactivar

el sistema de autopropulsión.

7.4 CÓMO VACIAR LA BOLSA

COLECTORA

1. Detenga la máquina.

2. Retire la llave de seguridad.

3. Retire la batería.

4. Abra la puerta de la boca de descarga trasera y

sujétela en esa posición.

5. Agarre la bolsa colectora del asa y desengánchela

de la barra de la puerta.

6. Cierre la puerta de la boca de descarga trasera.

7. Vacíe la bolsa colectora de hierba.

7.5 TRABAJO EN PENDIENTES

AVISO

No corte el césped en pendientes con una inclinación

superior a 15°. No corte el césped en una pendiente si

no se siente seguro.

AVISO

Desplácese despacio cuando corte el césped en una

pendiente.

• No suba o baje por la pendiente cuando corte el

césped a través de la cara de la pendiente. Tenga

cuidado cuando cambie la dirección en una

pendiente.

• Esté atento a agujeros, surcos, piedras y otros

objetos ocultos para no sufrir caídas. Retire

cualquier obstáculo, como piedras y trozos de

ramas.

• Asegúrese de que sus pies tengan un apoyo

estable. Si pierde el equilibrio, suelte la palanca de

freno inmediatamente.

• No corte el césped en desniveles, zanjas o

terraplenes.

7.6 CONSEJOS DE USO

• No incline la máquina cuando la arranque.

• No ponga las manos o los pies cerca o debajo de

las partes móviles.

• Mantenga el conducto descarga desobstruido.

• No corte la hierba mojada.

• Utilice una altura más elevada de la cuchilla para la

hierba espesa o reciente.

• Limpie la parte inferior del chasis del cortacésped

después de usarlo. Retire los restos de hierba, las

hojas, la suciedad y demás escombros.

8 MANTENIMIENTO

AVISO

Antes de llevar a cabo cualquier tarea de

mantenimiento, retire la batería y la llave de seguridad

de la máquina.

AVISO

Mantenga el motor y la batería sin restos de hierbas,

hojas o demasiada grasa.

PRECAUCIÓN

Utilice solamente piezas de repuesto autorizadas.

PRECAUCIÓN

No permita que las piezas de plástico del aparato

estén en contacto con líquidos de frenos, gasolina o

productos derivados del petróleo. Los productos

químicos pueden dañar el plástico del aparato y

hacerlo inservible.

PRECAUCIÓN

No aplique disolventes o detergentes fuertes sobre la

carcasa de plástico o los componentes.

8.1 MANTENIMIENTO GENERAL

• Antes de cada uso, examine la máquina en busca

de piezas aflojadas, dañadas o extraviadas, como

tornillos, tuercas, pernos o capuchas.

• Apriete bien todos los elementos de fijación y las

capuchas.

• Limpie la máquina con un paño seco. No utilice

agua.

8.2 LUBRICACIÓN

Aplique suficiente lubricante de primera calidad en

todos los rodamientos. No es necesaria una lubricación

adicional de los rodamientos en condiciones normales

de uso.

8.3 REEMPLAZO DE LA CUCHILLA

Utilice unos guantes resistentes o envuelva las hojas

de la cuchilla con un paño cuando vaya a manipularla.

1. Detenga la máquina.

2. Asegúrese de que la cuchilla se haya detenido del

todo.

3. Retire la llave de seguridad y la batería.

4. Ponga la máquina de costado.

5. Utilice una pieza de madera para prevenir el

movimiento de la cuchilla.

6. Quite el tornillo de fijación y el espaciador con una

llave.

7. Retire la cuchilla.

8. Instale la cuchilla nueva. Asegúrese de que las

flechas encajan en los agujeros de la cuchilla.

9. Vuelva a poner el tornillo de fijación y el espaciador

y apriételos.

8.4 GUARDE LA MÁQUINA

• Limpie la máquina antes de guardarla.

• Asegúrese de que el motor no está caliente cuando

vaya a guardar la máquina.

• Asegúrese de que la máquina no tiene ninguna

pieza suelta ni dañada. Si fuera necesario, siga

estos pasos/instrucciones:

• Sustituya las piezas dañadas.

• Ajuste los pernos.

• Hable con el personal de un servicio técnico

autorizado.

• Guarde la máquina en un lugar seco.

• Asegúrese de que los niños no se acercan a la

máquina.

8.5 CÓMO PONER LA MÁQUINA EN

POSICIÓN VERTICAL

1. Quite la bolsa colectora.

2. Tire de la perilla del asidero y gírela 90°.

3. Pliegue el asidero.

4. Gire las perillas del asidero 90° para asegurarlo en

posición.

5. Ponga la máquina de pie y asegúrese de que los

soportes toquen el suelo.

Interruptor de almacenamiento

La máquina incluye un interruptor de almacenamiento

que previene el arranque accidental cuando está en

dicha posición.

Es necesario retirar la llave de seguridad y la batería

para prevenir un arranque accidental o usos no

autorizados. El interruptor de almacenamiento no

reemplaza esta función.
