If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact qualified personnel to install the proper outlet. DO NOT alter the plug in any way. Do not operate this product if there is any physical damage to the unit. This product is for indoor use only. • • • Do not operate this product in any area where there is a risk of the unit falling into or being exposed to water. Opening windows or doors while operating this device may affect performance. This device should not be used in the presence of oxygen or any flammable materials or gases. The purchase of the Pluggable UV-C Air Sanitizer unit does not prevent illness. The 8 hour TWA Ozone for this product is 0.001 ppmv when tested in a 30 m3 chamber. The product complies with the maximum allowable concentration of ozone of 0.050 parts per million by volume (ppmv) in a 24-hour period. The Health Canada Guideline 2010 recommends that the maximum exposure limit, based on averaging time of 8 hours, is 0.020 ppmv or less when tested in a sealed, controlled room approximately 30 m3. THIS COULD CAUSE ELECTRICAL SHOCK. HOW IT WORKS Purified air is released into the room. UV-C light kills or inactivates airborne bacteria. Plugs into Fan draws in air. outlet 3 ways. *It is recommended to run the GG1000 continuously. Opening doors and/or windows in the room may affect the performance of the device. E-2 DIRECTIONS FOR USE WHEN TO CHANGE THE BULB 1. Plug the unit into a 120V AC electrical outlet. A replaceable 3.5 watt UV-C light bulb will last approximately 5000 hours. Over time with use the UV-C bulb will lose some intensity approximately 15% at 4000 hours. Therefore it is suggested to replace the UV-C light bulb approximately every 6 months (depending on use). You will know to change the bulb when the light flickers continuously or changes colors. Replacement bulb no. LB1000. 2. For best results continuous operation is recommended. NOTE: THE PLUGGABLE UV-C AIR SANITIZER UNIT CONTAINS NOSERVICEABLE PARTS EXCEPT ITS UV-C BULB. THE BULB MAY BE REMOVED FOR REPLACEMENT. REPLACING THE UV-C BULB 1. Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. 2. Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, loosen and remove the Phillips screw located at the top backside of the unit. 3. Remove the top cap by lifting it off of the top of the unit. 4. Place the unit on a table or level surface in the upright position. 7. Take new bulb and screw into unit using a clockwise motion. 8. Wipe off fingerprints wirh a dry cloth after 9. Reassemble by reversing steps 1-6. 5. Hold the unit in place with one hand. Locate the bulb and reach into the cylinder. 6. With your opposite hand, turn the bulb in a counter-clockwise direction (left) to loosen from the socket. E-3 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE PROBLEM SOLUTION Unit doesn’t operate. Due to the technology of the GG1000, all repairs must be performed by Guardian Technologies’ authorized service centers. Any unauthorized repair or tampering with the GG1000 VOIDS this warranty. This warranty does not cover misuse or abuse. LIMITED WARRANTY To the consumer, Guardian Technologies LLC warrants this product to be free of defects in materials or workmanship commencing upon the date of the original purchase. In order to be eligible for this Limited Warranty, an original sales receipt or comparable substitute proof of purchase bearing the date of original purchase is required. Refer to the original product carton or specific product/model page on the Guardian Technologies website for warranty length for your particular model. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this product from the original date of purchase. This warranty covers product purchased from authorized distributors only. This warranty applies to repair or replacement of product found to be defective in materials or workmanship. Après un certain temps d’utilisation, l’ampoule UVC perd de son intensité, soit environ 15% après 4000 heures d’utilisation. Nous vous conseillons donc de remplacer l’ampoule UVC tous les 6 mois, en fonction du degré d’utilisation de l’appareil.
