and correctly.

Troubleshooting
JProblems
Does not operate normally.
Initialize this product if it does not operate normally such as the
power cannot be turned on or o, or the display is interrupted.
No image comes out even though has been
pressed.
Are the batteries correctly set?
Check if all the batteries are correctly set.
Did the batteries run out?
Replace the batteries with new ones, or use the dedicated AC
adapter (APT0615Z2-1).
Is the AC adapter securely connected?
Connect the AC adapter and the power cable rmly to the power
socket of the product, the AC adapter connector and the outlet.
Are you using an AC adapter other than the dedicated one?
Using an AC adapter other than the dedicated one (APT0615Z2-1)
is very dangerous, and may cause overheating or damage to the
electric circuits.
Is the display level appropriate?
Adjust the display level.
Display has turned o.
Did you enable the auto power-o function?
The power turns o automatically if no operation is made for
more than 5 minutes.
Did you try to carry out a function incorrectly?
If buttons are operated incorrectly, the display turns o for a
moment.
Nothing is printed even though has been
pressed.
Is text entered?
Nothing is printed if no text is entered.
Any message on the display?
Read the message and take the appropriate action.
Did the tape run out?
Install a new tape cartridge.
Did the batteries run out?
Replace the batteries with new ones, or use the dedicated AC
adapter (APT0615Z2-1).
Is the top cover open?
Set the tape cartridge correctly and close the cover completely.
MEMO
If none of the above has solved the problem or the
symptom is other than the above, contact the K-Sun
customer support center.
No Tape! No tape cartridge is installed. Turn the power o
and install a tape cartridge correctly.
Check Tape
Cartridge! A tape cartridge which cannot be used in this
product has been set. Check the tape cartridge.
Line Over! Text entered is too long.
Press to delete the lines indicated by the
cursor.
Text Long! Entered text is too long for the specied tape
length. Press and adjust the tape length
or make text shorter.
Over Heat! The printhead is too hot. Turn the power o
and take out the tape cartridge. Wait for a while
before start printing again.
Motor Error An error occurred in the motor operation. Turn
the power o once, then turn it back on. If the
same message appears, turn the power o and
contact the K-Sun customer support center.
/Seq. num.

Only one sequence number or barcode can be
entered in a single label.
Change
Batteries The batteries have run out. Turn the power
o and replace ALL the batteries with new
AA Alkaline batteries. Make sure batteries are
inserted with correct polarity.
Memory Full! There is no available space to save a le. Delete
a le.
No File! You have attempted to call up or delete a le
when there are no les saved on the device.
Press any key to return to the text enter screen.
Before use
1. Preparing the power supply
This product operates on batteries or with the dedicated
AC adapter.
Using on batteries
cPrepare six AA alkaline batteries.
1. Remove the cover on the rear.
2. Insert the batteries.
Do not reverse
polarity.
3. Close the cover. Close it until it snaps into place.
cIf you use more than two minutes to replace
batteries you may lose text data or stored les.
Using with the AC adapter (APT0615Z2-1)
cMake sure to use the dedicated AC adapter
(APT0615Z2-1).
1. Connect the AC adapter rmly into the power socket
of the product.
2. Plug the AC adapter into the outlet.
2. Installing a tape cartridge
1. Remove the slack of the ink ribbon.
2. Open the top cover.
3. Set the tape cartridge.
Press it rmly until it snaps into place.
When installing a new tape or the tip of the tape is
longer than usual, put the tape through the "Tape
Guide" slot.
cDo not pull the tape out with your ngers.
4. Close the top cover.
How to remove the tape cartridge
cHold the tape cartridge by the tabs, and lift it
straight up.

4. Feeding the tape
After setting a tape cartridge, make sure to feed tape.
You can select whether to cut the tape or not after
feeding it.

capital letters.

Initializing this product
The product may stop functioning due to static
electricity or other causes.
Initialize the product if it does not operate normally such
as the display is interrupted.
cInitialize the product. Take extreme care before
initializing it. All the stored text and settings you
made will be lost.
The frequently used label settings you saved will
be also restored to their default settings.

1. Line head icon
Appears on the line head to show the current line
number. When there is a text(s) to be printed on the
label, and appear on the line head.
MEMO
: If this appears, you cannot print anything.
2. Lights when "Auto Cut" is set to "On".

4. Lights when "Vertical" is set to "On".
5. Lights when "Decorate" is specied for the line at the
cursor position.
6. Shows the text size of the line at the cursor position.

Indicates the position where the operation is
performed. This is the place where you enter text or
delete symbols, etc.

Displayed when changing the character mode such as
font and decorate in the line or paragraph.
11. Indicates the font name of the character at the cursor
position.

You can check settings on the display.
Indicators show whether or not settings are enabled.
This section explains various functions that will help you

surface?
The label may not adhere due to the material of the attachment
location or the environmental conditions.
Printed label does not cut automatically.
Is the auto cutter feature disabled?
Enable the Auto cut function.
Press character keys and enter text.

• Check the printed labels with your barcode reader to
ensure they can be correctly read.

Cleaning
When the exterior is dirty
Wipe the dirt o with a soft cloth. If it is very dirty, use a
cloth wrung out of water.
cNever use chemicals or solvents such as benzine,
thinner, or alcohol, or use a chemical duster.
When the printhead is dirty
If the print becomes faint or some parts are missing,
there may be some dirt on the printhead.
Clean the print head with a cotton swab moistened with
medical alcohol (commercially available ethanol).
This printer prints on ve sizes of heat shrink tube, 203
(1/8”), 205 (3/16”), 208 (1/4”), 210 (3/8”) and 211 (1/2”).
If printing on heat shrink tube is light, turn up the print
density. sPrinter Settings ("Condition" menu)
1. Set the dedicated tape.
2. Enter text, and then print on the tube.
3. Put a wire through the tube.
How to use Heat Shrink Tube
4.
Direct hot air from an industrial-use heat gun onto
the entire surface of the tube, shrinking it to the wire.
Refer to the manual of your heat gun to use it
properly with heat shrink tube.

No utilice ni guarde el producto, pilas, adaptador de CA, cable de

DANGER
When handling batteries
If liquid leaking from an alkaline battery gets into your eyes, do
not rub your eyes but immediately wash them well with clean
water and contact a doctor. Otherwise, it may cause blindness.

When using the AC adapter and power cable
The cords included with this product contain chemicals, including
lead, known to the State of California to cause birth defects or
other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling. (This
notice is provided in accordance with Proposition 65 in Cal. Health

Do not use any AC adapter or power cable other than the
dedicated AC adapter and power cable. Do not use the AC adapter
with other than the specied voltage also. Otherwise, damage,
overheating, re or electric shock may occur.
Take the following precautions when handling the AC adapter
and power cable.
• Make sure to avoid octopus wiring.
• Make sure the plug is not dusty before inserting it into an outlet.
• Insert the plug rmly into the outlet.
• Do not hold the plug with wet hands.
• Do not pull the power cable when disconnecting
the plug. Be sure to hold the plug when disconnecting it.
• Do not make any modication to the AC adapter or power cable.

• Do not unplug the AC adapter while the product is in operation.

Do not touch the printhead because it becomes very hot.
Otherwise, there is a risk of burns.
Do not open any covers other than the cover designated by this
manual. Doing so may result in re or electric shock. Always use
the product as instructed in this manual. Otherwise, damage or
injury may occur.
If any of the following abnormalities is observed, turn o the
power immediately, unplug the AC adapter and remove the
batteries, and then contact the K-Sun customer support center.
• If smoke, strange odours or unexpected noises come from the
product
• If liquid or foreign objects get inside the product
• If the product has been dropped or damaged
When handling the auto cutter
Do not touch the exit slot (where labels come out) during printing
or when using the cutter, otherwise there is a risk of injury.
Others
Do not use or store the product, batteries, AC adapter, power
cable, or tape cartridges in the following places.
• In direct sunlight.
• Where it may become extremely hot such as in a vehicle with the
windows closed.
• Where it may become extremely hot such as near a heater or the
temperature becomes very unstable such as near the exhaust
duct of an air conditioner.
• Where the product may get wet due to a shower or rain such as
in a bathroom or outdoors.
• In a dusty place or where the product may be exposed to smoke or
steam such as near the kitchen or a humidier.
• On an unstable place such as on a shaky table or on an inclined
place.
• Where it might be subjected to vibration or shock.
• Near high-voltage power lines or something that generates a
magnetic eld.
Keep the plastic bags used to contain the product or this manual
out of reach of children. Children may suocate if they swallow
them or put their heads into the bags.
CAUTION
When handling batteries
If liquid leaks from a battery, wipe it o with a cloth and replace it
with a new one. If the liquid comes in contact with your skin, wash
it away with water immediately.
If the batteries are used incorrectly, they may cause leakage,
overheating, explosion, erosion, or damage to the product, which
may result in re or injury.
• Do not use new ones and old batteries together, or mix dierent
types of batteries.
• Use only AA Alkaline batteries. Rechargeable batteries cannot
be used.
• Use batteries in the correct directions.
• Take the batteries out immediately when they have no power
remaining.
• Take the batteries out if you do not use the product for a long
time.
• Do not heat batteries or throw them in re or water.
• Do not pinch the batteries with metal tweezers or use any pointed
sharp metal object such as the tip of a mechanical pen or ball-point
pen when taking the batteries out.
When disposing of used batteries, make sure to follow the
regulations.
When using this product
To ensure safety, unplug this product before leaving it unused.
Before cleaning, make sure to unplug the AC adapter from the
outlet, and remove the batteries.
JWhen handling tape cartridges
• Make sure to use a dedicated PX Tape.
• Some types of tape cannot be cut by the cutter. For the details, refer to
the tape's manual.
• Do not drop it or disassemble it. Doing so may cause damage.
• Avoid using a tape cartridge without remaining tape. Doing so may cause
overheating of the printhead, which may result in damage or malfunction.
MEMO
Tape cartridges contain ink ribbons in them. When disposing tape
cartridges, make sure to follow the local regulations for disposal.

Notes on usage
• Take care not to cut your ngers when cutting the label with scissors.
• Do not attach a label on human bodies, living things, public facilities or
other people’s belongings.
About the printed labels
• Depending on the environment labels are used in and the nature of the
object labels are attached to, the following issues may occur:
Label: Discolouration, faded characters, peeling
Adhesive side: Adhesive residue, staining, damage
• Carefully check the suitability of the label for the intended purpose
before use.

Uso de un adaptador de CA y un cable de corriente
Los cables que se incluyen con este producto contienen

Manejo de las pilas

Al usar este producto
No golpee ni apriete fuertemente el producto, como pisándolo,

• Ne touchez pas la che d’alimentation en cas d’orage.
• Ne débranchez pas l’adaptateur secteur lorsque l’appareil est
sous tension.
• N’utilisez pas l’adaptateur secteur dans un espace restreint et ne
le recouvrez pas avec un vêtement ou autre.
Manipulation des piles
Conservez les piles hors de portée des enfants. Leur ingestion
est extrêmement dangereuse. Contactez immédiatement un
médecin en cas d'ingestion.
Utilisation de cet appareil
Protégez cet appareil contre les chocs ou contraintes (évitez
les chocs, les coups ou le piétinement). Dans le cas contraire,
vous risquez de casser l'appareil et d'entraîner un incendie
ou une électrocution. Si l'appareil est endommagé, mettez-le
immédiatement hors tension, débranchez l'adaptateur secteur et

Veillez à ne pas renverser de boisson (thé, café ou jus de fruit) sur
l'appareil. Veillez également à ne pas pulvériser d'insecticide en
direction de l'appareil. Il pourrait en résulter un dysfonctionnement,
un incendie ou une électrocution. Si du liquide a été renversé sur
l'appareil, mettez ce dernier hors tension, débranchez l'adaptateur
secteur, retirez les piles immédiatement puis contactez le centre de
service clientèle d’K-Sun. Si vous continuez à l'utiliser, un incendie ou
une électrocution peut survenir.
Ne touchez pas la tête d'impression. Elle devient très chaude et vous
risquez de vous brûler.
N’ouvrez aucun autre cache que le cache désigné par le manuel.
Dans le cas contraire, un incendie ou une électrocution peut survenir.
Utilisez toujours le produit comme indiqué dans ce manuel. Dans le
cas contraire, vous pourriez endommager l'appareil ou vous blesser.
Si vous observez l'un des problèmes suivants, mettez
immédiatement l'appareil hors tension, débranchez l'adaptateur
secteur, retirez les piles puis contactez le centre de service clientèle
d’K-Sun.
• Si l'appareil émet de la fumée, une odeur suspecte ou des bruits
étranges
• Si du liquide ou des corps étrangers pénètrent dans l'appareil
• Si l'appareil tombe ou est endommagé
Utilisation du massicot auto
Ne posez pas les doigts au niveau de la fente de sortie lors de
l'éjection des étiquettes, lors de l'impression ou de l'utilisation
du massicot. Dans le cas contraire, vous risquez de vous couper
les doigts.
Autres
Ne conservez pas l'appareil, les piles, l'adaptateur secteur, le câble
d'alimentation ou les cartouches dans les endroits suivants :
• Un endroit où l'appareil se trouve directement exposé au soleil.
• Un endroit où l'appareil pourrait devenir extrêmement chaud,
comme un véhicule dont les fenêtres sont fermées.
• Un endroit où l'appareil pourrait devenir extrêmement chaud,
comme à proximité d'un radiateur, ou un endroit dont la
température est très instable, comme à proximité du conduit
d'évacuation d'un climatiseur.
• Un endroit où l'appareil pourrait être aspergé par une douche
(salle de bain) ou une averse (en extérieur).
• Un endroit poussiéreux ou exposé à la fumée ou à la vapeur,
comme une cuisine ou à proximité d'un humidicateur.
• Une surface instable comme une table bancale ou une surface
inclinée.
• Un endroit où l'appareil serait exposé aux vibrations et aux chocs.
• À proximité de lignes à haute tension ou de tout objet générant
un champ magnétique.
Conservez les emballages en plastique de cet appareil ou de
ce manuel hors de portée des enfants. Les enfants pourraient
s'étouer en les avalant ou en plaçant leur tête à l'intérieur.
ATTENTION
Manipulation des piles
En cas de fuite de liquide d'une pile, essuyez avec un chion et
remplacez la pile. En cas de contact du liquide avec les mains,
rincez immédiatement celles-ci à l'eau.
Si les piles ne sont pas utilisées correctement, elles peuvent
présenter des fuites, surchauer, exploser, s'éroder ou
endommager l'appareil, causant ainsi un incendie ou des blessures.
• N'utilisez pas des piles neuves et usagées en même temps et ne
mélangez pas diérents types de piles.
• N'utilisez que des piles alcalines AA. Vous ne devez pas utiliser
de piles rechargeables.
• Placez les piles dans le sens correct.
• Retirez immédiatement les piles usagées.
• Retirez les piles si vous n'utilisez pas l'appareil pendant une
période prolongée.
• Ne chauez pas les piles. De même, ne les jetez pas au feu ou
dans l'eau.
• N'utilisez pas de pinces métalliques, d'objet pointu en métal
(comme la pointe d'un porte-mine ou d'un stylo à bille) pour
retirer les piles.
Lors de la mise au rebut des piles usagées, veillez à respecter la
réglementation en vigueur.
Utilisation de cet appareil
À des ns de sécurité, débranchez cet appareil lorsque vous ne
l'utilisez pas.
Avant de procéder au nettoyage de l'appareil, débranchez
l'adaptateur secteur de la prise et retirez les piles.
JManipulation des cassettes
• Assurez-vous d’utiliser un ruban PX dédié.
• Certains types de rubans ne peuvent être coupés par le massicot intégré.
Pour plus d'informations, veuillez vous référer au manuel d'utilisation
de la cassette.
• Veillez à ne pas faire tomber la cassette. De même, ne la démontez pas.
Dans le cas contraire, vous risquez de l'endommager.
• Évitez d'utiliser une cassette vide. Dans le cas contraire, la tête
d'impression pourrait surchauer et entraîner des dommages ou un
dysfonctionnement.
RAPPEL
Les cassettes contiennent un ruban. Lors de la mise au rebut des cassettes,
veillez à respecter la réglementation locale en vigueur.

• Suivant le matériau de support ou les conditions environnementales, les

Étiquette : décoloration, caractères illisibles, décollement
Côté adhésif : décollement impossible, adhésif résiduel, décoloration,
détérioration
• Avant toute utilisation, vériez soigneusement l'adéquation de vos
besoins avec le type d'étiquette, ainsi que le support destiné à recevoir
la partie adhésive.
