• This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It is not suitable for commercial
use. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose and only
use it as described in this manual.

Appliances with glass containers
• The container is designed for use with this appliance. It must never be used on a
range top.
• Do not set a hot container on a wet or cold surface because the glass will break.
• Do not use a cracked container or a container having a loose or weakened handle.
• Do not clean the container with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
material.
• A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
• Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an
extension cord is used:

Getting started
Before rst use
• Remove all packaging materials from the appliance and dispose of them responsibly.
Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so
ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.
• Inspect the cord and plug for damage or wear before each use. Do not use the
appliance if any part has been damaged or is not working properly.
• Check that all accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Add water
into the water tank to the max level and brew water without coffee powder, empty
the water out and repeat several times, then discard the water. Clean all detachable
parts thoroughly with warm water.
Clean the coffee maker before the rst use
To enjoy your rst cup of coffee, follow these simple steps to clean the coffee maker:
1. Wash the lter and the funnel as well as the glass carafe in a mixture of mild
detergent and water - rinse each thoroughly.
2. Replace all the parts and close the lid. Fill the water tank with drinking water to its
maximum and run a brew cycle (Do not exceed the MAX level marked inside the
tank). Please do not add coffee or a coffee lter.
3. When brewing is complete, turn your coffee maker off, discard the water in the glass
carafe and rinse all parts. Your coffee maker is now ready to use.
Setting the clock
Plug the power cord into the outlet. The LED will display “12:00” and the colon will ash.
To set the clock:
1. Hold down the Hour/Min button to adjust the time.
NOTE: By holding the Hour/Min button down it will quickly skip though the hours.
2. Wait 15 seconds to conrm the clock setting.
NOTE: The clock serves you as a handy kitchen clock and allows you to set the 24hour
delay timer (see page 9 for instructions).

Using your coffee maker
1. Open the top lid and ll the water tank with fresh drinking water. The water level
should not exceed the MAX level marked inside the tank.
NOTE: The coffee you get will be less than the water you have added, as some water
is absorbed by coffee grounds.
2. Place the funnel into the funnel support and make sure it is assembled correctly.
Then insert the coffee lter in to the unit.
3. Add coffee powder into the lter, usually a cup of coffee needs a level spoon of
coffee powder. This can be adjusted according to your personal taste.
Close the top lid.
4. Place the glass carafe on the warming plate.
5. Press the On/Auto/Off button once to start the brewing process.
NOTE: The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the On/Auto/Off button
twice at any time during operation. The brew indicator will extinguish. Once you
press the On/Auto/Off button again, the appliance will continue brewing.
6. Once the coffee maker has nished brewing, wait until it has nally stopped dripping,
before you remove the carafe.
Keep warm plate
• The coffee maker has a "keep warm plate", which helps to keep the coffee hot for up
to 2 hours (after this it will automatically switch off).
• For optimum taste, serve the coffee right after brewing has nished.
NOTE: Always turn the coffee maker off and disconnect from the power supply when
not in use.
Warning: The temperature of the coffee is very hot, be careful when pouring it into a
cup.
Brew strength selector
• This coffee maker has a brew strength selector which allows you to choose regular
or a more robust avored coffee.
• By using this option, the appliance will begin to work in cycles with 20 seconds
brewing followed by a 10 second pause.
• You can easily choose this option at any time during the brewing process by
pressing the "brew strength" button. The indicator light will turn on.
• Simply press the button again to disable this option.

Pause and serve feature
• This feature allows you to take out the carafe, for a maximum time of 30 seconds, to
enjoy a cup of coffee whilst the coffee maker is still brewing.
• Simply remove the carafe and the pause and serve feature will automatically be
activated.
24 hour delay timer
This coffee maker has a 24 hour delay timer, this allows you to start brewing at a later
time.
1. To use the timer, you must have set the clock time as described in
setting the clock
on page 7.
2. Prepare the coffee maker as described in
using your coffee maker on page 8.
3. Press the Program button once to use the Timer option. The Auto indicator light will
ash green.
4. Set your preferred starting time by holding the Hour/Minute button.
5. After setting the time, press the On/Auto/Off button twice and the Auto indicator will
light green, the LED will display the current clock. The coffee maker is now setup to
automatically brew coffee at the pre-set later time.
NOTE: If you wish to repeat this for the same time the next day, press the On/Auto/Off
button twice, the auto indicator light illuminates green.
If you disconnect from the power supply at any time the coffee maker will not
start again automatically. You have to repeat the above mentioned, starting with
step 2.

Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION: Be sure to unplug this appliance before cleaning. To protect against electrical
shock, do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or liquid. After each use,
always make sure the plug is removed from the wall outlet.
1. Clean all detachable parts after each use in warm, soapy water.
2. Wipe the product’s exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth to remove stains.
3. Water droplets may buildup in the area above the funnel and drip onto the product
base during brewing. Wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth after each use of the
product.
4. Wipe the warming plate with a clean, damp cloth. Never use rough, abrasive materials
or cleaners on the warming plate.
5. Replace all parts and keep ready for the next use.

Other useful information
Removing mineral deposits
• From time to time, you may need to clean off any mineral deposits (limescale) left by
water inside your coffee maker to keep it operating efciently. How often you have to
do this depends on the water hardness in your area and on how often you use the
machine.
• You can use a commercially available descaling agent for household products
(according to the instructions on the packet) to descale the coffee maker, if the
product is recommended for use in an automatic coffee maker. Or simply use a
water and vinegar mixture and proceed according to the steps below.
1. Fill the water tank with water and descaler to the MAX level in the gauge of coffee
maker (the scale of water and descaler is 4:1, the detail refers to the instruction of
descaler. Please use “household descaler”, you can use the citric acid instead of the
descaler (the one hundred parts of water and three parts of citric acid).
2. Place the carafe on the heating plate and align the carafe with the center of the
brewing basket.
3. Press the On/Auto/Off button once and the brew indicator will be illuminated red.
After a while, water will drop out automatically.
4. After percolating the equivalent then switch off the appliance by pressing the On/
Auto/Off button again. The brew indicator will be extinguished.
5. Let the solution work 15 minutes then repeat steps 3-5 again.
6. Turn the appliance on by pressing the On/Auto/Off button once and run off the water
until the water tank is completely empty.
7. Rinse by operating the appliance with water at least 3 times.
8. When the cycle is completed turn the coffee maker off.

Hints for great-tasting coffee
1. A clean coffee maker is essential for making great-tasting coffee. Regularly clean
the coffee maker as specied in the
cleaning and maintenance section. Always use
fresh, cold water in the coffee maker.
2. Store unused coffee powder in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of coffee
powder, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness.
3. For an optimum coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and nely grind them just
before brewing.
4. For best results, use a level tablespoon for ground coffee measurement.
5. Do not reuse coffee powder since this will greatly reduce the coffee's avor.
Reheating coffee is not recommended as coffee is at its peak avor immediately
after brewing.
6. Clean the coffee maker when over-extraction causes oiliness. Small oil droplets on
the surface of brewed, black coffee are due to the extraction of oil from the coffee
powder.
7. Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted coffees are used.

Para comenzar
Antes del primer uso
• Retire todos los materiales de embalaje del aparato y disponga de ellos de manera
responsable. La envoltura de plástico puede ser un peligro de asxia para los bebés

Ajuste del reloj
Conecte el cable de alimentación en el tomacorriente. El LED mostrará "12:00" y el
colon estará intermitente. Para ajustar el reloj:
1. Mantenga pulsado el botón Hour/Min para ajustar el tiempo.
NOTA: Si mantiene presionado el botón Hour/Min saltará rápidamente a través de las
horas.
2. Espere 15 segundos para conrmar el ajuste del reloj.

Usando su cafetera
1. Abra la tapa superior y llene el depósito con agua potable fresca. El nivel de agua
no debe sobrepasar el nivel MAX marcado en el interior del tanque.
NOTA: La cantidad de café que obtenga será menor que el agua que puso, ya que
parte del agua es absorbida por los posos del café.
2. Coloque el embudo en el soporte del embudo y asegúrese de que está montado
correctamente. A continuación, inserte el ltro de café en la unidad.
3. Añada el polvo de café en el ltro, por lo general una taza de café necesita una
cuchara rasa de polvo de café. Esto lo puede ajustar de acuerdo a su gusto
personal. Cierre la tapa superior.
4. Coloque la jarra de vidrio en la placa de calentamiento
5. Pulse el botón On/Auto/Off una vez para iniciar el proceso de la colada

Selector de concentración de la colada
• Esta cafetera tiene un selector de concentración de la colada que le permite elegir
un café regular o uno con un sabor más robusto.
• Al utilizar esta opción, el aparato comenzará a trabajar en ciclos con 20 segundos
de colada seguidos por una pausa de 10 segundos.
• Usted puede fácilmente elegir esta opción en cualquier momento durante el proceso
de preparación del café pulsando el botón "concentración de la colada". La luz
indicadora se encenderá.
• Basta con pulsar el botón de nuevo para desactivar esta opción.

Instrucciones
Función de pausa y servir
• Esta función le permite sacar la jarra, por un tiempo máximo de 30 segundos, para
disfrutar de una taza de café mientras la cafetera todavía está colando.
• Simplemente retire la jarra y la función de pausar y servir se activará
automáticamente.
Temporizador de demora de 24 horas
Esta cafetera tiene un temporizador de demora de 24 horas; esto le permite comenzar
la preparación del café en un momento posterior.
1. Para usar el temporizador, debe establecer la hora del reloj como se describe en el
ajuste del reloj en la página 16.
2. Prepare la cafetera como se describe en uso de su cafetera en la página 17.
3. Pulse el botón de programación una vez para utilizar la opción de temporizador. La
luz indicadora Auto parpadeará en verde.
4. Establezca la hora de comienzo preferida manteniendo pulsado el botón Hour/
Minute.
5. Después de establecer la hora, pulse el botón On/Auto/Off dos veces y el indicador
Auto se iluminará en verde; el LED mostrará la hora actual. La cafetera está
ahora congurada para preparar café automáticamente a la hora que se haya
preestablecido.
NOTA: Si desea repetir esto para la misma hora del día siguiente, presione el botón
On/Auto/Off dos veces; la luz indicadora Auto se ilumina en verde.Si en
cualquier momento desconecta la cafetera de la fuente de alimentación esta no
se iniciará de nuevo automáticamente. Tiene que repetir lo anterior, a partir del
paso 2.

Limpieza y mantenimiento
PRECAUCIÓN: Asegúrese de desconectar el aparato antes de limpiarlo. Para
protegerse contra una descarga eléctrica, no sumerja el cable, el
enchufe o la unidad en agua u otro líquido. Después de cada uso,
asegúrese siempre de retirar el enchufe del tomacorriente.
1. Limpie todas las piezas desmontables después de cada uso con agua tibia jabonosa.
2. Limpie las supercies exteriores del producto con un paño suave y húmedo para
eliminar manchas.
3. Durante la colada pueden acumularse gotas de agua en la zona superior del embudo
y gotear sobre la base del producto. Limpie el área con un paño limpio y seco
después de cada uso del producto.
4. Limpie la placa de calentamiento con un paño limpio y húmedo. Nunca utilice
materiales o productos de limpieza abrasivos o ásperos en la placa de calentamiento.
5. Vuelva a colocar todas las piezas para mantener lista la cafetera para el próximo uso.

Eliminación de los depósitos minerales
• De vez en cuando, puede que tenga que limpiar los depósitos minerales (calcio)
provenientes del agua dentro de su cafetera, para mantenerla funcionando de
manera eciente. La frecuencia con la que tenga que hacerlo depende de la dureza
del agua en su área y de la frecuencia de uso de la máquina.
• Puede utilizar un agente de descalcicación para productos del hogar disponible
comercialmente (de acuerdo con las instrucciones en el paquete) para eliminar los
sedimentos de la cafetera, si el producto está recomendado para su uso en una
cafetera automática. O puede simplemente utilizar una mezcla de agua y vinagre y
proceder de acuerdo a los siguientes pasos.
1. Llene el depósito de agua con agua y el producto descalcicador hasta el nivel MAX
en el indicador de la cafetera (la relación de agua y descalcicador es 4: 1; el detalle
se reere a la instrucción del descalcicador. Por favor, utilice "descalcicador
doméstico"; puede utilizar el ácido cítrico en lugar del descalcicador (cien partes de
agua y tres partes de ácido cítrico).
2. Coloque la jarra sobre la placa de calentamiento y alinee la jarra con el centro del
recipiente del ltro.
3. Pulse el botón On/Auto/Off una vez y el indicador Brew se iluminará de color rojo.
4. Después de un rato, el agua caerá automáticamente.
5. Después de ltrar el equivalente apague el aparato pulsando de nuevo el botón On/
Auto/Off. El indicador Brew se apagará.
6. Deje que la solución trabaje por 15 minutos, luego repita los pasos del 3 al 5 de
nuevo.
7. Encienda el aparato presionando el botón On/Auto/Off una vez y deje correr el agua
hasta que el tanque de agua está completamente vacío.
8. Enjuague haciendo funcionar el aparato con agua por lo menos 3 veces.
9. Cuando complete el ciclo apague la cafetera.

Consejos para colar un café de estupendo sabor
1. Una cafetera limpia es esencial para colar un café de estupendo sabor.
Limpie regularmente la cafetera como se especica en la sección "limpieza y
mantenimiento". Utilice siempre agua fresca y fría en la cafetera.
2. Guarde el polvo de café sin utilizar en un lugar fresco y seco. Después de abrir un
paquete de polvo de café, ciérrelo herméticamente y guárdelo en el refrigerador
para que mantenga su frescura.
3. Para un obtener un café de óptimo sabor, compre el café en granos y muélalos
namente justo antes de la colada.
4. Para obtener los mejores resultados, utilice una cucharada rasa para la medición
del café molido.
5. No vuelva a usar el polvo de café, ya que esto reducirá en gran medida el sabor del
café. No se recomienda el recalentamiento del café ya que este alcanza su mejor
sabor inmediatamente después de la colada.
6. Limpie la cafetera cuando la extracción excesiva provoque una apariencia oleosa.
Las pequeñas gotitas de aceite en la supercie del café negro colado se deben a la
extracción del aceite del polvo de café.
7. La oleosidad puede ocurrir con mayor frecuencia si se utilizan cafés muy tostados.
