Important Warranty Information Regarding Television Format Viewing
Wide screen format PDP Displays (16:9, the aspect ratio of the screen width to height) are primarily designed to view wide
screen format full-motion video. The images displayed on them should primarily be in the wide screen 16:9 ratio format,
or expanded to fill the screen if your model offers this feature and the images are constantly moving. Displaying stationary
graphics and images on screen, such as the dark side-bars on nonexpanded standard format television video and
programming, should be limited to no more than 5% of the total television viewing per week.
Additionally, viewing other stationary images and text such as stock market reports, video game displays, station logos,
web sites or computer graphics and patterns, should be limited as described above for all televisions. Displaying stationary
images that exceed the above guidelines can cause uneven aging of PDP Displays that leave subtle, but permanent
burned-in ghost images in the PDP picture. To avoid this, vary the programming and images, and primarily display
full screen moving images, not stationary patterns or dark bars.
On PDP models that offer picture sizing features, use these controls to view different formats as a full screen picture.
Be careful in the selection and duration of television formats used for viewing. Uneven PDP aging as a result of format
selection and use, as well as burned-in images, are not covered by your Samsung limited warranty.

User Instructions
Screen Image retention
Do not display a still image (such as on a video game) on the plasma display panel for more than several minutes as it can cause
screen image retention. This image retention is also known as “screen burn”. To avoid such image retention, refer to page 23 of this
manual to reduce the degree of brightness and contrast of the screen when displaying a still image.
Altitude
The PDP can only operate normally at heights under 6500ft.
Heat on the top of the Plasma TV
The top side of the product may be hot after long periods of use as heat dissipates from the panel through the vent hole in the upper
part of the product.
This is normal and does not indicate any defect or operation failure of the product.
However, children should be prevented from touching the upper part of the product.
The product is making a ‘cracking’ noise.
A ‘cracking’ noise may occur when the product contracts or expands due to a change in the surrounding environment such as
temperature or humidity. This is normal and not a defect of the unit.
Cell Defects
The PDP uses a panel consisting of 2,360,000(HD-level) to 6,221,000(FHD-level) pixels which require sophisticated technology to
produce. However, there may be a few bright or dark pixels on the screen. These pixels will have no impact on the performance of the
product.
Avoid operating the TV at temperatures below 41°F (5°C)
A still image displayed too long may cause permanent damage to the PDP Panel.
Watching the Plasma TV in 4:3 format for a long period of time may leave traces of borders displayed on
the left, right and center of the screen caused by the difference of light emission on the screen.
Playing a DVD or a game console may cause similar effects to the screen.
Damages caused by the above effect are not covered by the Warranty.
After-images on the Screen.
Displaying still images from Video games and PC for longer than a certain period of time may produce partial after-images.
To prevent this effect, reduce the ‘brightness’ and ‘contrast’ when displaying still images for a long time.
Warranty
Warranty does not cover any damage caused by image retention.
Burn-in is not covered by the warranty.
Installation
Be sure to contact an authorized service centre, when installing your set in a location with heavy dust, high or low temperatures, high
humidity, chemical substance and where it operates continually such as the airport, the train station etc. Failure to do so may cause a
serious damage to your set.

The buttons on the lower-right panel control your TV’s basic features, including the on-screen menu.
To use the more advanced features, you must use the remote control.

Viewing the Connection Panel
Use the connection panel jacks to connect A/V components that will be connected continuously, such as Blu-Ray DVD Players
or a VCR.

Installing Batteries in the Remote Control
1. Lift the cover at the back of the remote control upward as shown in the gure.
2. Install two AAA size batteries.
Make sure to match the “+” and “–” ends of the batteries with the diagram inside the compartment.
3. Close the cover as shown in the gure.
Remove the batteries and store them in a cool, dry place if you won’t be using the remote control for a
long time. (Assuming typical TV usage, the batteries should last for about one year.)
If the remote control doesn’t work, check the following
1. Is the TV power on?
2. Are the plus and minus ends of the batteries reversed?
3. Are the batteries drained?
4. Is there a power outage or is the power cord unplugged?
5. Is there a special uorescent light or neon sign nearby?

Connecting VHF and UHF Antennas
If your antenna has a set of leads that look like this, see “Antennaswith300ΩFlatTwin

twin flat leads, follow the directions below.
1. Place the wires from the twin leads under the screws on a 300-75 Ω adapter (not supplied).
Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws.
2. Plug the adaptor into the ANT IN terminal on the back of the TV.

Plug the antenna lead into the ANT IN terminal on the back of the TV.
Separate VHF and UHF Antennas
If you have two separate antennas for your TV (one VHF and one UHF), you must
combine the two antenna signals before connecting the antennas to the TV. This
procedure requires an optional combiner-adaptor (available at most electronics shops).
1. Connect both antenna leads to the combiner.
2. Plug the combiner into the ANT IN terminal on the bottom of the back panel.
Connecting Cable TV
To connect to a cable TV system, follow the instructions below.
Cable without a Cable Box
Plug the incoming cable into the ANT IN terminal on the back of the TV.
Because this TV is cable-ready, you do not need a cable box to view unscrambled cable
channels.
Connecting to a Cable Box that Descrambles All Channels
1. Find the cable that is connected to the ANT OUT terminal on your cable box.
This terminal might be labeled “ANT OUT”, “VHF OUT” or simply, “OUT”.
2. Connect the other end of this cable to the ANT IN terminal on the back of the TV.

Connecting to a Cable Box that Descrambles Some Channels
If your cable box descrambles only some channels (such as premium channels), follow the instructions below. You
will need a two-way splitter, an RF (A/B) switch, and four lengths of Antenna cable. (These items are available at most
electronics stores.)
1. Find and disconnect the cable that is
connected to the ANT IN terminal on your
cable box.
This terminal might be labeled “ANT IN”,
“VHF IN” or simply, “IN”.
2. Connect this cable to a two-way splitter.
3. Connect an Antenna cable between the
OUTPUT terminal on the splitter and the IN
terminal on the cable box.
4. Connect an Antenna cable between the ANT
OUT terminal on the cable box and the B–IN
terminal on the RF(A/B) switch.
5. Connect another cable between the other
OUT terminal on the splitter and the A–IN
terminal on the RF (A/B) switch.
6. Connect the last Antenna cable between the
OUT terminal on the RF (A/B) switch and the
ANT IN terminal on the rear of the TV.
After you have made this connection, set the A/B switch to the “A” position for normal viewing. Set the A/B switch to the “B” position
to view scrambled channels. (When you set the A/B switch to “B”, you will need to tune your TV to the cable box’s output channel,
which is usually channel 3 or 4.)

Connecting a DVD / Blu-Ray Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver
(Set-Top Box) via HDMI
This connection can only be made if there is an HDMI Output jack on the external device. This connection will provide the
highest quality picture.
1. Connect an HDMI Cable between the HDMI IN (1, 2(DVI), or 3) jack on the TV and the HDMI jack on the DVD / Blu-Ray Player or
Cable Box / Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box).
What is HDMI?
HDMI, or high-denition multimedia interface, is an interface that enables the transmission of digital audio and video signals using a
single cable.
The difference between HDMI and DVI is that the HDMI device is smaller in size and has the HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Copy
Protection) coding feature installed.
Each DVD Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) has a different back panel conguration.
The TV may not output sound and pictures may be displayed with abnormal color when DVD / Blu-Ray Player or Cable Box /
Satellite receiver supporting HDMI versions older than 1,3 are connected. When connecting an older HDMI cable and there is no
sound, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN 2(DVI) jack and the audio cables to the PC/DVI AUDIO IN jacks on the back of the
TV. If this happens, contact the company that provided the DVD / Blu-Ray Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver to conrm the
HDMI version, then request an upgrade.
HDMI cables that are not 1,3 may cause annoying icker or no screen display.
Connecting a DVD /Blu-Ray Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver
(Set-Top Box) via DVI
This connection can only be made if there is a DVI Output jack on the external device.
1. Connect a HDMI/DVI Cable or DVI-HDMI Adapter between the HDMI IN 2(DVI) jack on the TV and the DVI jack on the DVD /
Blu-Ray Player or Cable Box/Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box).
2. Connect Audio Cables between the PC / DVI AUDIO IN jack on the TV and the DVD/Blu-Ray Player or Cable Box / Satellite
receiver.
Each DVD / Blu-Ray Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box) has a different back panel conguration.
When connecting a DVD Player or Cable Box / Satellite receiver (Set-Top Box), match the color of the connection terminal to the
cable.
When using an HDMI/DVI cable connection, you must use the HDMI IN 2(DVI) jack.

2. Connect Audio Cables between the AV IN 2 [L-AUDIO-R] jacks on the TV and the AUDIO OUT jacks on the Camcorder.
Each Camcorder has a different back panel conguration.
When connecting a Camcorder, match the color of the connection terminal to the cable.

Using the HDMI Cable
1. Connect an HDMI Cable between the HDMI IN (1, 2(DVI), or 3) jack on the TV and the HDMI jack on the camcorder.
Each Camcorder has a different back panel conguration.

Connecting a VCR
Video Connection
These instructions assume that you have already connected your TV to an antenna or a cable TV system (according to the
instructions on pages 9~10). Skip step 1 if you have not yet connected to an antenna or a cable system.
1. Unplug the cable or antenna from the back of the TV.
2. Connect the cable or antenna to the ANT IN terminal on the back of the VCR.
3. Connect an Antenna Cable between the ANT OUT terminal on the VCR and the ANT IN terminal on the TV.
4. Connect a Video Cable between the AV IN 1 [Y/VIDEO] or AV IN 2 [VIDEO] jack on the TV and the VIDEO OUT jack on the
VCR.
5. Connect Audio Cables between the AV IN 1 (or AV IN 2) [R-AUDIO-L] jacks on the TV and the AUDIO OUT jacks on the VCR
If you have a “mono” (non-stereo) VCR, use a Y-connector (not supplied) to connect to the right and left audio input jacks of the

Turning the TV On and Off
Press the POWER button on the remote control. You can also use the POWER button
on the TV.
It may take a while for your TV to power on.
Changing Channels
Using the Channel Buttons
Press the CH or CH button to change channels.
When you press the CH or CH button, the TV changes channels in
sequence. You will see all the channels that the TV has memorized. (The TV must
have memorized at least three channels). You will not see channels that were
either erased or not memorized. See page 20 to memorize channels.
Using the Number Buttons
Press the number buttons to go directly to a channel. For example, to select channel
“27”, press “2”, then “7”.
For quick channel change, press the number buttons, then press the ENTER

Using the “ ” Button
The “ ” button is used to select a channel over 100.

1. Press the PRE-CH button. The TV will switch to the last channel viewed.
To quickly switch between two channels that are far apart, tune to one channel,

button to quickly alternate between them.

Plug & Play Feature
When the TV is initially powered on, basic settings proceed automatically and subsequently.
The Screen Saver is activated if there is no remote control key input for longer than 1 minute while Plug & Play is running.
The Screen Saver is activated if there is no operating signal for longer than 15 minutes.

Storing Channels
Your TV can memorize and store all of the available channels for both air and cable channels. After the available channels
arememorized,usetheCH▲orCH▼buttontoscanthroughthechannels.Thiseliminatestheneedtochangechannelsby
entering the channel digits. There are three steps for memorizing channels: selecting a broadcast source, memorizing the
channels and adding and deleting channels.
Air/Cable→Air/STD/HRC/IRC
Before your television can begin memorizing the available channels, you must specify
the type of signal source that is connected to the TV (i.e. an Air or a Cable system).
STD, HRC and IRC identify various types of cable TV systems. Contact your local
cable company to identify the type of cable system that exists in your particular area.
At this point the signal source has been selected.
Auto Program
The TV will begin memorizing all of the available channels. After all the available
channels are stored, the Auto program menu reappears.
All available channels are automatically stored in memory. It takes approximately
3 to 10 minutes to memorize channels.
If you want to stop Auto Programming, press the ENTER

button.
Fine Tune (Analog)
Use ne tuning to manually adjust a particular channel for optimal reception.
If you do not store the ne-tuned channel in memory, adjustments are not saved.
“*” will appear next to the name of ne-tuned channels.

ENTER

Changing the Picture Settings
Mode
You can select the type of picture which best corresponds to your viewing requirements.
Dynamic: Select a high-definition picture for bright environments.
Standard: Selects the optimal picture display for normal environments. This
setting is convenient for most situations.
Movie: Selects a comfortable picture display for dark environments.
Press the TOOLS button to display Tools menu.
You can also select the picture mode by selecting Tools → Picture Mode

Cell Light / Contrast / Brightness / Sharpness / Color / Tint (G/R)
Your television has several setting options that allow you to control the picture quality.
Cell Light: Adjusts the pixel brightness. 10 is the brightest setting.
Contrast: Adjusts the contrast level.
Brightness: Adjusts the brightness level.
Sharpness: Adjusts the sharpness.
Color: Adjusts the color saturation of the picture using the bar on the screen.
Tint (G/R): The closer to Red 100, the more saturated the red color becomes.
When you make changes to Cell Light, Contrast, Brightness, Sharpness, Color
or Tint (G/R), the OSD will be adjusted accordingly.
When in PC mode, Tint (G/R), Sharpness and Color are not available.
Settings can be adjusted and stored for each external device you have connected to
an input of the TV.
The energy consumed during use can be signicantly reduced if thebrightness level
is lowered, which will reduce the overall running cost.
Advanced Settings
You can adjust the advanced settings for your screen including the color and contrast.
Advanced Settings is available in Standard or Movie mode.
In PC mode, you can only make changes to Gamma and White Balance from
among the Advanced Settings items.
Black Tone
You can Enhance the picture depth by adjusting the black color density.
Off: Turns the Black Tone function off.
Dark: Sets the black color depth to dark.
Darker: Sets the black color depth to darker.
Darkest: Sets the black color depth to darkest.
Dynamic Contrast
You can adjust the screen contrast so that the optimal contrast is provided.
Off: Turns the Dynamic Contrast function off.
Low: Sets Dynamic Contrast to low.
Medium: Sets Dynamic Contrast to medium.
High: Sets Dynamic Contrast to high.
Gamma
You can adjust the Primary Color (Red, Green, Blue) Intensity.
Color Space
Color Space is a color matrix composed of red, green and blue colors. Select your favorite color space to experience the most
natural color.
Auto: Automatically sets the color range depending on the input video source.
Native: Sets the color range wider than that of the input video source.

Size
Occasionally, you may want to change the size of the image on your screen. Your TV
comes with six screen size options, each designed to work best with specic types
of video input. Your satellite receiver may have its own set of screen sizes as well. In
general, though, you should view the TV in 16:9 mode as much as possible.
16:9: Sets the picture to the 16:9 aspect ratio.
Wide Zoom: Magnify the size of the picture more than 4:3.
Zoom: Magnies the size of the picture on the screen.
4:3: Sets the picture to the 4:3 aspect ratio.
Screen Fit: Use the function to see the full image without any cutoff when HDMI
(720p/1080i/1080p), Component (1080i/1080p) signals are input.

4:3 format with left and right side grey bars appeared.
The 3D IR Emitter communicates with the 3D glasses.
Therefore, make sure the 3D IR Emitter is located near the 3D glasses.
It is activated when the HDMI or DVI input signal is RGB, and DVI Sound is supported.
When the power is turned on or off, the mode changes to the default (Off) and the Format is saved.
To use the 3D Effect function, a graphics card supporting 3D or 3D software is required.
The 3D glasses and the Emitter must be manufacturer by the same company.
If you play a game or watch TV while wearing the 3D glasses for long periods of time, you may experience eyestrain or a headache.

Scrolling: This function removes after-images on the screen by moving all the pixels on the PDP according to a pattern. Use
this function when there are remaining after-images or symbols on the screen, especially when you displayed a still image on
the screen for a long time.
Side Gray: When you watch TV with the screen ratio of 4:3, the screen is prevented from any damage by adjusting the white
balance on both extreme left and right sides. To prevent the screen burn from happening, select Dark or Light.
- Dark: When you set the screen ratio to 4:3, it darkens the left and right sides.
- Light: When you set the screen ratio to 4:3, it brightens the left and right sides.
To remove after-images on the screen, use the Scrolling function.
The after-image removal function has to be executed for a long time (approximately 1 hour) to effectively remove after-images
on the screen. If the after-image is not removed after performing the function, repeat the function again.

Changing the Mode
Turns on the 3D Effect. You can choose between Mode1 and Mode2. To achieve the
3D effect, the 3D glasses shutter back and forth from the left to right and vice versa
(left/right sync).
Off: Turns the 3D effect function off.
Mode1: Mode 1 operates with right sync rst.
Mode2: Mode 2 operates with left sync rst.
2D: Picture is converted from 3D to 2D. Choose this to watch a 2D picture
when you are experiencing eyestrain.
If the 3D effect is not working properly, it means the Mode and 3D glasses may not
be syncing properly. To put them in sync, switch to the other mode.
Changing the Format
Select the optimal input format to match your graphic cards or 3D software.
Checker Board: If the output format of your graphic card or 3D software is Checker
Board, select this input format.
Horizontal: If the output format of your graphic card or 3D software is Horizontal
interleaved, select this input format.
Vertical: If the output format of your graphic card or 3D software is Vertical
interleaved, select this input format.
Reset→OK/Cancel
Resets all picture settings to the default values.

your PC will probably be different, depending upon your particular version of Windows and your

Setting up the TV with your PC
Auto Adjustment
Use the auto adjustment function to have the TV set automatically adjust the video
signals it receives. The function also automatically ne-tunes the settings and adjusts
the frequency values and positions.
Preset: Press the SOURCE button to select PC mode.
This function does not work in DVI-Digital mode.
Press the TOOLS button to display Tools menu.
You can also set the adjustment by selecting Tools →→ Auto Adjustment.

The purpose of the picture quality adjustment is to remove or reduce picture noise.
If the noise is not removed by ne tuning alone, then make the vertical frequency
adjustments on your PC and ne tune again.
After the noise has been reduced, re-adjust the picture so that it is aligned on the center

Coarse
Adjusts the frequency when vertical noise appears on the screen.

Mode
You can select the sound mode to best suit the programming you’re watching.
Standard: This sound mode is for general purposes.
Music: Music mode enables you to listen to music as if you are sitting
in a concert hall.
Movie: Movie mode enables you to experience live and full movie sound as if
you are sitting in a movie theater.
Clear Voice: Emphasizes voice over other sounds. Select this sound mode when
watching news, soap operas, or documentaries.
Custom: You can customize the sound settings to suit your personal preferences.
Press the TOOLS button to display Tools menu.
You can also select the sound mode by selecting Tools → Sound Mode

Equalizer
The sound settings can be adjusted to suit your personal preferences.
Balance L/R: Adjusts the balance between the right and left speaker.
100Hz, 300Hz, 1KHz, 3KHz, 10KHz (Bandwidth Adjustment): Adjusts the level of
different bandwidth frequencies.
If you make any changes to the equalizer settings, the sound mode is automatically
switched to the Custom mode.
SRSTruSurroundHD→Off/On
SRS TruSurround HD is the combined technology of TruSurround and FOCUS, TruBass.
TruSurround is virtual sound effect under guarantee of Dolby that makes the virtual 5.1 channel via two speaker. FOCUS makes
improve the degree of denition of sound and TruBass reinforcements the low pitched sound.
SRS TruSurround HD enables you to enjoy a virtual 5.1 Surround Sound effect over the TV's two speakers. This function provides
not only rich deep bass also improves high frequency resolution.
You can select these options simply by pressing the SRS button on the remote
control.

Multi-Track Sound
Mono: Choose for channels that are broadcasting in mono or if you are having difculty receiving a stereo signal.

SAP: Choose to listen to the Separate Audio Program, which is usually a foreign-language translation.
Multi-Track Sound is available only in TV mode.
Depending on the particular program being broadcast, you can listen to Mono, Stereo, or SAP.
Press the MTS button on the remote control repeatedly to select Mono, Stereo, or
SAP.
AutoVolume→Off/On
Each broadcasting station has its own signal conditions, and so it is not easy to adjust the volume every time the channel is
changed. This feature lets you automatically adjust the volume of the desired channel by lowering the sound output when the
modulation signal is high or by raising the sound output when the modulation signal is low.

When you watch TV with it connecting to a Home theater, turn the TV speakers off so
you can listen to sound from the Home theater’s (external) speakers.
External Speaker: Uses the external speakers(Home Theater) to output sound.
TV Speaker: Uses the TV speakers to output sound.
If you select External Speaker in the Speaker Select menu, the sound settings will
be limited.
The volume buttons and MUTE buttons do not operate when the Speaker Select
is set to External Speaker.
Please set the volume on your Home theater.

Configuring the Setup Menu

You can set the menu language.
ChildLock→Off/On
This feature allows you to prevent unauthorized users, such as children, from watching
unsuitable program by muting out video and audio.
Before the setup screen appears, the PIN number input screen appears. Enter your
4 digit PIN number.
The default PIN number of a new TV set is ‘0-0-0-0’. You can change the PIN by
selecting Change PIN from the menu.
You can lock some channels in Channel List. (refer to page 20)
Child Lock is available only in TV mode. .
Change PIN
You can change your personal ID number that is required to set up the TV.

Caption
Your TV decodes and displays the closed captions that are broadcast with certain TV
shows. These captions are usually subtitles for the hearing impaired or foreign language
translations. All VCRs record the closed caption signal from television programs, so
home-recorded video tapes also provide closed captions. Most prerecorded commercial
video tapes provide closed captions as well. Check for the closed caption symbol in
your television schedule and on the tape’s packaging: .
The Caption feature doesn’t work in Component, HDMI or PC modes.
The availability of captions depends on the program being broadcast.

When connecting to a game console such as PlayStation™ or Xbox™, you can enjoy a more realistic gaming experience by
selecting the game menu.
When the Game Mode is On
Picture mode is automatically changed to Standard and cannot be changed.
Sound mode is automatically changed to Custom and cannot be changed the mode. Adjust the sound using the equalizer.
Game Mode is not available in regular TV mode.
If the picture is poor when an external device is connected to the TV, check if Game Mode is On.
Set Game Mode to Off and connect external devices.
If you display the TV menu in Game mode, the screen shakes slightly.
The mark ( ) appears on the screen which means that Game Mode is on with the selected source.
Melody
A melody sound can be set to come on when the TV is powered On or Off.
Off: Turns off the melody function.
Low: Sets the melody volume to low.
Medium: Sets the melody volume to medium.
High: Sets the melody volume to high.
The Melody does not play.
When no sound is output from the TV because the MUTE button has been
pressed.
When no sound is output from the TV because the volume has been reduced to
minimum with the VOL button.
When the TV is turned off with the Sleep Timer function.
Energy Saving
This feature adjusts the brightness of the TV in order to reduce power consumption. When watching TV at night,
set the Energy Saving mode option to High to reduce eye fatigue as well as power consumption.
Off: Turns the Energy Saving function off.
Low: Sets the Energy Saving function to low.
Medium: Sets the Energy Saving function to medium.
High: Sets the Energy Saving function to maximum.
Press the TOOLS button to display Tools menu.
You can also set the energy saving option by selecting Tools → Energy Saving

AV Color System → Auto / PAL-M / PAL-N / NTSC
You can set the color encoding standards for external signal inputs.
Normally the TV can receive image and sound with good quality in Auto mode. This mode detects the color signal sources
automatically. If the color implementation is unsatisfactory, select any of PAL-M, PAL-N or NTSC.

Viewing the Picture in Picture (PIP)
You can display a sub picture within the main picture of set program or video input. In this way, you can watch the picture of set program
or video input from any connected equipment while watching the main picture.
You may notice that the picture in the PIP window becomes slightly unnatural when you use the main screen to view a game or
karaoke.

Setting the clock is necessary in order to use the various timer features of the TV. Also, you can check the time while watching
the TV. (Just press the INFO button.)

1. Press the MENU button to display the menu.
2. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Setup, then press the ENTERE button.
3. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Time, then press the ENTERE button.
Clock Set
You can set the current time manually.
You can set the Month, Day, Year, Hour, Minute directly by pressing the number

Sleep Timer
The sleep timer automatically shuts off the TV after a preset time

When you set the timer On, the television will eventually turn off, if no controls are
operated for 3 hours after the TV was turned on by the timer. This function is only
available in timer On mode and prevents overheating, which may occur if a TV is on
for too long time.

Listening through a Receiver (Home theater)
You can listen to sound through a receiver instead of the TV speaker.

performance of the product.

Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV may cause the TV to fall. In particular, ensure your children do not hang
over or destabilize the TV; doing so may cause the TV to tip over, causing serious injuries or death. Follow all safety
precautions provided on the included Safety Flyer. For added stability, install the anti-fall device for safety purposes,
as follows.
To avoid the TV from falling
1. Put the screws into the clamps and rmly fasten them onto the wall. Conrm that the screws
have been rmly installed onto the wall.
You may need additional material such as an anchor depending on the type of wall.
Since the necessary clamps, screws, and string are not supplied, please purchase these
additionally.
2. Remove the screws from the center back of the TV, put the screws into the clamps, and then
fasten the screws onto the TV again.
Screws may not be supplied with the product.
3. Connect the clamps xed onto the TV and the clamps xed onto the wall with a strong wire
and then tie the string tightly.
Install the TV near to the wall so that it does not fall backwards

It is safe to connect the string so that the clamps xed on the wall are equal to or lower
than the clamps xed on the TV.
Untie the string before moving the TV.
4. Verify all connections are properly secured. Periodically check connections for any sign of

Retención de imágenes en la pantalla
No deje imágenes jas visibles (como las de un videojuego) en el panel de la pantalla de plasma durante mucho tiempo, ya que se
podría producir la retención de la imagen en la misma. Este fenómeno de retención de imágenes también se denomina “quemadura de
pantalla”. Para evitar dicha retención de la imagen, consulte la página 23 de este manual para reducir el grado de brillo y contraste de
la pantalla al mostrar una imagen ja.
Altitud
La PDP sólo puede funcionar normalmente hasta altitudes de 2.000 metros.
Calor en la parte superior del TV de plasma
La parte superior del aparato puede calentarse tras un uso prolongado ya que el calor se disipa desde el panel a través de los oricios
de ventilación de la parte superior.
Esto es normal y no indica ningún defecto ni fallo de funcionamiento del aparato.
No obstante, debe evitarse que los niños toquen la parte superior del aparato.
El aparato emite una especie de crujido.

La PDP utiliza un panel compuesto de 2,360,000 (nivel HD) a 6,221,000(nivel FHD) a píxeles que requieren una sosticada tecnología
para su producción. No obstante, puede que existan unos cuantos píxeles brillantes u oscuros en la pantalla. Estos píxeles no inuirán
en el rendimiento del aparato.
Evite que el TV funcione a temperaturas por debajo de 41 °F (5 °C)
La imagen fija visualizada durante demasiado tiempo puede causar daños permanentes en el panel de la PDP.
Ver el TV de plasma en formato 4:3 durante un tiempo prolongado puede dejar rastros de bordes en la
izquierda, derecha o centro de la pantalla causados por la diferencia de emisión de luz en la pantalla.
La reproducción de un DVD o el uso de una consola de videojuegos pueden provocar un efecto similar en
la pantalla.

1 Levante la tapa de la parte posterior del mando a distancia, como se muestra en la ilustración.
2 Instale dos pilas de tamaño AAA.
Asegúrese de respetar los extremos “+” y “–” de las pilas indicados en el diagrama del interior del

3. Cierre la tapa, como se muestra en la ilustración.

Conexión al decodificador de cable que decodifica algunos canales
Si su decodificador de cable decodifica únicamente algunos canales (como, por ejemplo, canales de suscripción), siga las
instrucciones que se incluyen a continuación. Necesitará un separador de señales de dos vías, un conmutador RF (A/B) y
cuatro extensiones de cable de antena. (Estos artículos están disponibles en la mayoría de las tiendas de electrónica.)
1. Busque y desconecte el cable conectado al
terminal ANT IN de su decodicador de cable.
Este terminal puede estar etiquetado como
“ANT IN”, “VHF IN” o sencillamente “IN”.

Conexión de un reproductor de DVD/Blu-ray o receptor por cable/satélite
(decodificador) a través de HDMI
Esta conexión sólo se puede realizar si hay un terminal de salida de HDMI en el dispositivo externo. Esta conexión
proporciona una imagen de la mayor calidad.
1. Conecte un cable HDMI entre el terminal HDMI IN (1, 2(DVI), 3) del televisor y el terminal HDMI del reproductor de DVD/Blu-ray o
receptor por cable/satélite (decodicador).
¿Qué es HDMI?
HDMI, o interfaz multimedia de alta denición, es una interfaz que permite la transmisión de señales digitales de audio y de
vídeo mediante un solo cable.
La diferencia entre los dispositivos HDMI y DVI es que el HDMI es más pequeño y tiene instalada la función de codicación
HDCP (protección alta de la copia digital del ancho de banda).
Cada reproductor DVD o receptor por cable/satélite (decodicador) tiene una conguración diferente del panel posterior.
Puede que el televisor no proporcione salida de sonido y muestre imágenes con colores anómalos si se han conectado
reproductores DVD/Blu-ray o receptores por cable/satélite que admiten versiones de HDMI anteriores a la versión 1,3. Si se
conecta un cable antiguo HDMI y no hay sonido, conecte el cable HDMI al terminal HDMI IN 2(DVI) y los cables de audio a
los terminales DVI AUDIO IN [R-AUDIO-L] de la parte posterior del televisor. Si ocurriera esto, póngase en contacto con la
empresa que suministró el reproductor de DVD/Blu-ray o receptor por cable/satélite para conrmar la versión HDMI y solicite una
actualización.
Los cables HDMI que no son 1,3 pueden causar un molesto parpadeo o que no se muestre la pantalla.

En estas instrucciones se asume que ya ha conectado el TV a una antena o a un sistema de TV por cable (de acuerdo con las
instrucciones de las páginas 9 y 10). Ignore el paso 1 si aún no ha conectado una antena o un sistema de cable.
1. Desenchufe el cable o la antena de la parte posterior del TV.
2. Enchufe el cable o la antena en el terminal ANT IN de la parte posterior del aparato de vídeo.
3. Conecte un cable de antena entre el terminal ANT OUT del aparato de vídeo y el terminal ANT IN del televisor.
4. Conecte un cable de vídeo entre el terminal AV IN 1 [Y/VIDEO] o AV IN 2 [VIDEO] del televisor y el terminal VIDEO OUT del

Conexión de un amplificador/DVD para Home Cinema

Uso del cable D-Sub
1. Conecte un cable D-Sub entre el terminal PC IN [PC] del televisor y el terminal de salida PC del ordenador.

Visualización de los menús
Antes de utilizar el televisor, siga los pasos que se explican a continuación para aprender a desplazarse por el menú a fin de

Función Plug & Play
Cuando el televisor se enciende por primera vez, los valores se inician correlativamente de forma automática.
El salvapantallas se activa si durante más de 1 minuto no hay ninguna entrada desde el teclado del mando a distancia mientras Plug & Play está en
ejecución.
El salvapantallas se activa si durante más de 15 minutos no se detecta ninguna señal de funcionamiento.

Almacenamiento de canales
El televisor puede memorizar y almacenar todos los canales disponibles aéreos o por cable. Una vez memorizados los
canalesdisponibles,puedeexaminarlosmediantelosbotonesCH▲oCH▼.Deestemodo,noesnecesariointroducirdígitos
para cambiar los canales. Para memorizar los canales hay tres pasos: seleccionar una emisora de origen, memorizar los
canales y añadir o suprimir canales.
Aire/Cable→Aire/STD/HRC/IRC
Antes de empezar a memorizar los canales disponibles, debe indicar el tipo de
origen de la señal conectada al TV (es decir, antena o sistema de cable).
STD, HRC y IRC identican los distintos tipos de sistemas de TV por cable.
Póngase en contacto con su proveedor de cable para averiguar el tipo de
sistema de cable existente en su zona. En este momento ya se ha seleccionado
el origen de la señal.
Prog. Auto
El televisor comenzará a memorizar todos los canales disponibles.
Una vez guardados todos los canales disponibles, volverá a aparecer el menú Prog. Auto.
Todos los canales disponibles se almacenan automáticamente en la memoria.
Se tarda de 3 a 10 minutos en memorizar los canales.
Si desea detener la programación automática, pulse el botón ENTERE.
Sintonía fina (analógicos)
Utilice la sintonía na para ajustar manualmente un canal concreto para que la recepción sea óptima.
Si no almacena en la memoria el canal que ha ajustado con la sintonía na, los
ajustes no se guardan.
El símbolo “*” aparecerá junto al nombre de los canales cuya sintonización se haya
ajustado.
Para restablecer la sintonía na, pulse el botón ▼ para seleccionar Reiniciar; a
continuación pulse el botón ENTERE.
SistemaColor→Auto,PAL-M,PAL-N,NTSC
Normalmente el televisor puede recibir imagen y sonido de buena calidad en el modo Auto. Este modo detecta automáticamente
las fuentes de entrada de la señal del color. Si la implementación del color no es satisfactoria, elija entre PAL-M, PAL-N o NTSC.

Cambio del tamaño de la imagen
Modo
Puede seleccionar el tipo de imagen que mejor cumpla sus requisitos de visualización.
Dinámico: Selecciona una imagen de alta definición para entornos muy
iluminados.
Normal: Selecciona la mejor visualización de la imagen para entornos
normales.
Esta configuración es la más conveniente en la mayoría de situaciones.
Cine: Selecciona una visualización de imagen confortable en entornos oscuros.
Pulse el botón TOOLS para usar el menú.
También puede configurar el modo de la imagen seleccionando
Herramientas → Imagen Modo.

Luz de la celda/Contraste/Brillo/Definición/Color/Tinte (V/R)
El televisor tiene varias opciones de conguración que permiten controlar la calidad de
la imagen.
Luz de la celda: Ajusta el brillo de los píxeles. 10 es la conguración más brillante.
Contraste: Ajusta el nivel de contraste.
Brillo: Ajusta el nivel de brillo.
Denición: Ajusta el nivel de nitidez.
Color: Ajusta la saturación del color de la imagen mediante la barra de la pantalla.
Tinte (V/R): Cuanto más cerca de Rojo 100, más saturado está el color rojo.
Cuando se cambian Luz de la celda, Contraste, Brillo, Denición, Color o Tinte
(V/R), la presentación en la pantalla OSD se ajusta consecuentemente.
En el modo PC, Tinte (V/R), Definición y Color no están disponibles.
La conguración de cada dispositivo externo conectado a la entrada del televisor se puede ajustar y guardar.
En los modos TV, AV del sistema PAL, no se puede usar la función Tinte.
La energía consumida durante el uso se puede reducir signicativamente si se disminuye el nivel del brillo.
Configuración avanzada
Se puede ajustar detalladamente la conguración de la pantalla, incluidos el color y el
contraste.
Conguraciónavanzada está disponible en los modos Normal o Cine.
En el modo PC, sólo se pueden cambiar Gamma y
Balance de blanco entre las opciones de Conguraciónavanzada.
Tono del negro
Se puede seleccionar el nivel de negro en la pantalla para ajustar la profundidad de
ésta.
Apagado: Desactiva la función de ajuste del negro.
Oscuro: Establece la profundidad del color negro en un nivel oscuro.
Más oscuro: Establece la profundidad del color negro en un nivel más oscuro.
El más oscuro: Establece la profundidad del color negro en el nivel más oscuro.
Contraste Dinám.
Se puede ajustar el contraste de la pantalla para conseguir un contraste óptimo.
Apagado: Desactiva la función de contraste dinámico.
Bajo: Establece el contraste dinámico en un nivel bajo.
Medio: Establece el contraste dinámico en un nivel medio.
Alto: Establece el contraste dinámico en un nivel alto.
Gamma
Se puede ajustar la intensidad de los colores primarios (rojo, verde y azul).
Espacio de color
El espacio de color es una matriz de color compuesta por los colores rojo, verde y azul. Seleccione su gama favorita de color y
disfrute de unos colores auténticamente naturales.
Nativo: Congura una gama de color más amplia que la de la fuente del vídeo de entrada.
Auto: Congura automáticamente la gama de color de acuerdo con la fuente del vídeo de entrada.

En el modo PC sólo se pueden cambiar Tono Color, Tamaño y Protección de
pantalla entre los elementos de Opciones de imagen.

Puede seleccionar el tono de color que le resulte más cómodo para la vista.
Tibio1 o Tibio2 sólo están disponibles cuando el modo de imagen es Cine.
La conguración de cada dispositivo externo conectado a la entrada del televisor se
puede ajustar y guardar.
Tamaño
Es posible que alguna vez desee cambiar el tamaño de la imagen en la pantalla.
El televisor se suministra con seis opciones de tamaño de la pantalla, cada una
diseñada para que funcione lo mejor posible con tipos especícos de entrada de
vídeo. Es posible que el receptor de satélite tenga también su propia gama de
tamaños de pantalla. Sin embargo, en general, debe ver el televisor en el modo 16:9
tanto como sea posible.
16:9: Congura la imagen en una relación de aspecto 16:9.
Zoomancho: Aumenta el tamaño de la imagen más que 4:3.
Zoom: Aumenta el tamaño de la imagen en la pantalla.
4:3: Congura la imagen en una relación de aspecto 4:3.
Ajuste pantalla: Use esta función para ver la imagen completa sin cortes cuando la
entrada de la señal sea HDMI (720p/1080i/1080p) o Component (1080i/1080p).
También se puede pulsar varias veces el botón P.SIZE del mando a distancia para
cambiar el tamaño de la imagen.

Modo película
El televisor se puede congurar para que perciba y procese automáticamente las
señales de película de todas las fuentes y ajuste la mejor calidad de imagen.
Apagado: Aplicado procesamiento básico de imágenes de vídeo y no detección automática para programas de películas.
Auto: Ajusta automáticamente para obtener la mejor calidad de imagen entre programas de películas y vídeo.
Modo película es compatible con TV, Vídeo, Componente (480i/1080i) y HDMI (1080i).
Sólomodoazul→Apagado/Encendido
Esta función es para expertos en la medición de dispositivos AV. Esta función muestra sólo la señal azul ya que se eliminan las
señales rojas y verdes de la señal de vídeo a n de proporcionar un efecto de ltro azul que se usa para ajustar el color y el matiz
de los equipos de vídeo, como reproductores DVD, sistemas Home Cinema, etc. Con esta función, se puede ajustar el color y el
matiz de acuerdo con los valores preferidos adecuados al nivel de la señal de cada dispositivo de vídeo mediante los patrones de
barras de colores rojo/verde/azul/cián/magenta/amarillo, sin usar un ltro azul adicional.
La función Sólo modo azul está disponible cuando el modo de imagen está configurado como Normal o Cine.
Protección de pantalla
Congura las opciones de Protección de pantalla para evitar y reducir el quemado de píxeles.
Cuando una imagen permanece en una posición por mucho tiempo, puede ocasionar un quemado permanente en la pantalla.
Cambio de píxel: Mueve la imagen para prevenir y reducir la quemadura de los píxeles.

Desplazamiento: Esta función suprime los restos de imágenes en la pantalla moviendo todos los píxeles del PDP de acuerdo
con un patrón. Utilice esta función si hay restos de imágenes o símbolos en la pantalla, especialmente
después de haber mostrado una imagen ja en la pantalla durante un largo tiempo.
Lateral gris: Cuando se ve la televisión con una relación de pantalla de 4:3, ésta se puede proteger de un posible daño si se
ajusta el balance de blanco en ambos extremos, el izquierdo y el derecho. Para prevenir que la pantalla se queme, seleccione
Oscuro o Claro.
Oscuro: Cuando se establece una relación de pantalla de 4:3, con esta opción se oscurecen ambos extremos, el izquierdo y
el derecho.
Claro: Cuando se establece una relación de pantalla de 4:3, con esta opción se aclaran ambos extremos, el izquierdo y el
derecho.
Para eliminar las imágenes residuales, utilice la función Desplazamiento.
La función de supresión de restos de imágenes debe aplicarse durante largo tiempo (aproximadamente 1 hora) para que
sea efectiva. Si los restos de imágenes no desaparecen después de ejecutar la función, repita el proceso.

Uso de la función 3D
Puede disfrutar de películas y juegos 3D en su televisor con un formato 3D muy real. La función Efecto 3D muestra dos
imágenes distintas en el televisor, una para cada ojo, de manera que los usuarios pueden ver imágenes 3D mediante los
cristales de obturación de las gafas 3D.

1. Conecte un cable HDMI/DVI entre la terminal HDMI IN 2 del televisor y la terminal de salida PC del ordenador.
2. Conecte un cable estéreo de 3,5mm entre la terminal DVI IN (HDMI 2) [R-AUDIO-L] del televisor y la terminal de salida de audio de
la tarjeta de sonido del ordenador.
3. Conecte el emisor al puerto 3D SYNC OUT del panel posterior del televisor.

La resolución de PC óptima para PN50B450B1D es 1360 x 768. Cuando se conecta la señal 1024 x 768 en el modo 3D, la imagen
se mostrará en formato 4:3 con barras grises a ambos lados.
El emisor de infrarrojos 3D se comunica con las gafas 3D.
Por consiguiente, el emisor de infrarrojos 3D debe estar situado cerca de las gafas 3D.
Se activa cuando la señal de entrada HDMI o DVI es RGB, y admite el sonido DVI.
Cuando se enciende o se apaga, el modo cambia a predeterminado (Apagado) y Formato se guarda.
Al usar la Función 3D, necesario una tarjeta de gra cos o software 3D.

Cambio de modo
Al cambiar el modo se intercambian las señales de salida izquierda y derecha y, con
ello, las imágenes destinadas a cada ojo.
Apagado : Desactiva la función de efecto 3D.
Modo1 : Algunos contenidos pueden no ajustarse al modo 1.
Modo2 : Si no se encuentra cómodo en el Modo 1, cambie al Modo 2.
2D: Picture is converted from 3D to 2D. Choose this to watch a 2D picture when
you are experiencing eyestrain.
Si el efecto 3D no funciona correctamente, esto signica que el modo y
las gafas 3D no estan bien sincronizados. Debe cambiar de modo para
sincronizarlos.

Uso del televisor como una pantalla de ordenador (PC)
Configuración del software del PC (basado en Windows XP)
A continuación se muestra la conguración de pantalla de Windows para un ordenador típico.
Probablemente la pantalla real de su PC sea distinta, según la versión concreta de Windows y
de la tarjeta de vídeo que tenga. Aunque las pantallas reales sean diferentes, la información de
conguración básica que se aplica en casi todos los casos es la misma.
(En caso contrario, póngase en contacto con el fabricante del ordenador o con el distribuidor de
Samsung.)
1. Primero, haga clic en Panel de control en el menú de inicio de Windows.
2. Cuando aparezca la ventana del panel de control, haga clic en Apariencia y temas y
aparecerá un cuadro de diálogo.
3. Cuando aparezca la ventana del panel de control, haga clic en Pantalla y aparecerá un

Ajuste del televisor con el ordenador
Ajuste Automático
Mediante la función Ajuste Automático se puede establecer que el televisor se ajuste
automáticamente de acuerdo con las señales de vídeo que reciba. Esta función también
ajusta automáticamente la conguración, los valores de frecuencia y la posición.
Preselección: Pulse el botón SOURCE para seleccionar el modo PC.
Esta función no se puede utilizar en modo DVI-Digital.
Pulse el botón TOOLS para mostrar el menú Herramientas.
También puede establecer el ajuste automático seleccionando
Herramientas→Ajuste Automático.

El objetivo del ajuste de la calidad de imagen es eliminar o reducir las interferencias.
Si no se eliminan mediante la sintonización na, ajuste la frecuencia vertical en el PC y
vuelva a realizar la sintonización na.
Cuando se hayan reducido las interferencias, vuelva a ajustar la imagen de forma que
esté centrada en la pantalla.

Normal: Este modo de sonido es de aplicación general.
Música: El modo Música permite oír música como si se estuviera en una sala de
conciertos.
Cine: El modo Cine proporciona un sonido completo de película en directo como si
se estuviera en una sala de cine.
Voz clara: Realza las voces respecto de los sonidos. Seleccione este modo de
sonido para ver noticiarios, telenovelas o documentales.
Favorito: Puede personalizar los ajustes de sonido para que se ajusten a sus
preferencias personales.

SRS TruSurround HD permite disfrutar de los efectos de sonido surround de 5.1 canales en los dos altavoces del televisor.
Esta función proporciona no sólo unos bajos profundos más ricos sino que también mejora la resolución de las frecuencias altas.
Puede seleccionar estas opciones pulsando el botón SRS del mando a distancia.

Sonido Multi-track

que normalmente es una traducción de otro idioma.

Cada emisora tiene sus propias condiciones de señal y resulta incómodo ajustar el
volumen cada vez que se cambia de canal. Esta función permite ajustar automáticamente el volumen de un canal disminuyendo la
salida de sonido cuando la señal de modulación es alta o aumentando la salida de sonido cuando la señal de modulación es baja.

Seleccionar altavoz
Cuando se ve el televisor conectado a un sistema Home Cinema, se debe apagar el
altavoz del televisor para que la salida de audio del televisor utilice los altavoces del
Home Cinema (externos).
Altavoz externo: Utiliza los altavoces externos (Home Cinema) para la salida de
sonido.
Altavoz de TV: Utiliza los altavoces del TV para la salida de sonido.
Si se selecciona Altavoz externo en el menú Altavoz Seleccionar, se limita la

Configuración del menú de configuración
Idioma
Se puede congurar el idioma de los menús.
Bloqueo→Apagado/Encendido
Esta función permite bloquear el vídeo y el audio para evitar que los usuarios no
autorizados (por ejemplo, los niños) puedan ver programas poco recomendables.
Antes de que se muestre la pantalla de conguración, aparece la pantalla para la
introducción del código PIN. Escriba su código PIN de 4 dígitos.
El código PIN predeterminado para un televisor nuevo es ‘0-0-0-0’.
Se puede cambiar el PIN seleccionando Cambiar Código en el menú.
Se pueden bloquear algunos canales en la lista de canales. (Consulte la página 20.)
Bloqueo sólo está disponible en el modo TV.
Cambiar Código
Se puede cambiar el número ID personal necesario para congurar el televisor.
Antes de que se muestre la pantalla de conguración, aparece la pantalla para la
introducción del código PIN. Escriba su código PIN de 4 dígitos.
El código PIN predeterminado para un televisor nuevo es ‘0-0-0-0’.
Si ha olvidado el código PIN, pulse los botones del mando a distancia en la

El televisor decodica y muestra los subtítulos que se emiten con algunos programas
de TV. Suele tratarse de subtítulos para sordos o de traducciones de otros idiomas.
Todos los aparatos de vídeo graban la señal de los subtítulos de los programas
televisivos, por lo que las cintas de vídeo domésticas también ofrecen subtítulos. La
mayoría de las cintas de vídeo comerciales también ofrecen subtítulos. Compruebe
si aparece el símbolo de subtítulos en la programación de televisión y en la caja de la
cinta:

Melodía
Se puede establecer un sonido de melodía que se oiga cuando el televisor se
encienda o se apague.
Apagado: Apaga la función de la melodía.
Bajo: Establece el volumen de la melodía en un nivel bajo.
Medio: Establece el volumen de la melodía en un nivel medio.
Alto: Establece el volumen de la melodía en un nivel alto.
La melodía no se reproduce.
Cuando no hay salida de sonido desde el televisor porque se ha activado el
botón

MUTE.
Cuando no hay salida de sonido desde el televisor porque se ha reducido al mínimo con el botón VOL .
Cuando la función de temporizador ha apagado el televisor.
Ahorro energía
Esta función ajusta el brillo del televisor, lo cual reduce el consumo de energía. Si desea ver la televisión por la noche, ajuste la
opción del modo Ahorro energía en Alto; sus ojos se lo agradecerán y, además, reducirá el consumo de energía.
Apagado: Desactiva la función de ahorro de energía.
Bajo: Establece la función de ahorro de energía en sus valores bajos.
Medio: Establece la función de ahorro de energía en sus valores medios.
Alto: Establece la función de ahorro de energía en sus valores máximos.
Pulse el botón TOOLS para usar el menú Herramientas.
También puede configurar la opción de ahorro de energía seleccionando
Herramientas → Ahorro energía.

Sistema de color AV -> Auto, PAL-M, PAL-N, NTSC
Se puede congurar los estándares de codicación del color para las entradas de señal externas.
Normalmente el televisor puede recibir imagen y sonido de buena calidad en el modo Auto. Este modo detecta automáticamente
las fuentes de la señal del color. Si la implementación del color no es satisfactoria, elija entre PAL-M, PAL-N o NTSC.

Visualización de imagen sobre imagen (PIP)
Puede mostrar una imagen secundaria dentro de la imagen principal del programa establecido o de la entrada de vídeo. De esta forma
puede ver la imagen del programa establecido o de la entrada de vídeo desde cualquier equipo conectado mientras ve la imagen
principal.
Puede notar que la imagen de la ventana PIP llega a ser ligeramente articial cuando
utiliza la pantalla principal para visualizar juegos o karaoke.
Pulse el botón TOOLS para usar el menú Herramientas. También puede
establecer la configuración PIP relacionada seleccionando TOOLS → PIP.

Configuración de la hora
Para usar las diferentes funciones del temporizador del televisor es necesario configurar el reloj. Asimismo, se puede
comprobar la hora mientras se ve la televisión. (Pulse el botón INFO.)

2. Pulse los botones ▲ o ▼ para seleccionar Conguración y, a continuación, pulse

Puede ajustar la hora actual manualmente.

El temporizador de desconexión apaga automáticamente el televisor después de un
período prejado (30, 60, 90, 120, 150 y 180 minutos).

Apagado automático
Si activa el temporizador, el televisor se apagará si no se pulsa ningún botón durante 3 horas, después de que el temporizador
lo haya puesto en marcha. Esta función sólo está disponible con el temporizador activado y evita el recalentamiento que se
puede producir si el televisor está encendido durante demasiado tiempo.

Aunque el televisor explora automáticamente los dispositivos cuando se enciende con el botón POWER, los dispositivos conectados
cuando el televisor ya está encendido no aparecen en la lista de dispositivos. En tal caso, seleccione el menú Buscando Conexiones
para buscar los dispositivos.

Escucha a través de un receptor (Home Cinema)
Se puede escuchar sonido a través de un receptor en lugar de hacerlo mediante el altavoz del TV.

Tirar del televisor, empujarlo o colgarse de él puede provocar su caída. En especial, procure que los niños no se
cuelguen del televisor ni lo desestabilicen; éste podría caerse sobre ellos y causarles lesiones graves o incluso
la muerte. Siga las precauciones de seguridad del folleto de seguridad incluido con el producto. Para mejorar la
estabilidad instale un dispositivo antivuelco, como se explica a continuación.
Para impedir que el televisor se caiga
1. Apriete rmemente las grapas sobre la pared con los tornillos. Asegúrese de que los
tornillos estén bien armados en la pared.
Según el tipo de pared quizás necesite algún material adicional para el anclaje.
Las grapas, los tornillos y la cadena no se suministran con el producto; deberá
adquirirlos por separado.
2. Quite los tornillos de la parte central posterior del televisor y con ellos monte las grapas en
el televisor.
Quizás con el televisor no vayan incluidos los tornillos.
3. Monte una cadena fuerte entre las grapas del televisor y de la pared de manera que quede
bien tensada.
Instale el televisor cerca de la pared para evitar que caiga hacia a atrás.
Las grapas de la pared han de estar a la misma o a menor altura que las grapas del
televisor.
Cuando se desee mover el televisor deberá aojar la cadena.
4. Compruebe que todas las conexiones estén bien aseguradas. Compruébelas
