R To prevent the risk of fire or

Operating safeguards
R Do not disassemble the product.

R Consult the manufacturer of any
personal medical devices, such as
pacemakers or hearing aids, to
determine if they are adequately
shielded from external RF (radio
frequency) energy. DECT features
operate between 1.92 GHz and
1.93 GHz with a peak transmission
power of 115 mW.
R Do not use the product in health
care facilities if any regulations
posted in the area instruct you not to
do so. Hospitals or health care
facilities may be using equipment
that could be sensitive to external
RF energy.
CR Lithium battery
R Do not recharge, disassemble,
remodel, heat or throw it into fire.
R Do not touch the terminals and
with metal objects.
R Risk of explosion if battery is
replaced by an incorrect type.
Dispose of used battery according to

similar objects near the sensor unit
and magnet unit. Magnetic data on
the cards, etc. may be deleted.
CR Lithium battery
R Use only the battery noted on
page 3.
R Insert the battery correctly.
R Do not leave the battery in an
automobile exposed to direct
sunlight for a long period of time with
the doors and windows closed.
R Remove the battery if you do not
use the product for a long period of
time. Keep it in a cool, dark area.
R Do not replace a battery with wet
hands.
R Keep out of the reach of small
children. There is a risk of
swallowing. If the battery is
swallowed, seek medical attention
immediately.
R Remove the battery if it becomes
unusable. There is a risk of leakage,
overheating, and rupture. Do not
attempt to use a battery if it is
leaking.
R Exercise care when handling the
batteries. Do not allow conductive
materials such as rings, bracelets, or
keys to touch the batteries,
otherwise a short circuit may cause
the batteries and/or the conductive
material to overheat and cause
burns.

1 Initial setup
Make sure you can access the
system using your mobile device.

Inserting the battery

Registering the
window/door sensor
This procedure is not required for
devices that were included as part of
a bundle.
Before you can use the window/door
sensor, it must be registered to the hub.
If you purchased devices separately
(i.e., not as part of a bundle), you must
register each device to the hub.
You can register each device by using
the registration buttons or the [Home
Network] app.
Using registration buttons
1 Hub:
Press and hold M OTHER
DEVICEN until the LED indicator
blinks in green.
2 Window/door sensor:
Remove the sensor unit cover and
press and hold M N until the
LED indicator blinks in green
(page 8).
R When registration is complete,
the hub sounds one long beep.
Note:
R To cancel registration, press M N
on the hub and on the window/door
sensor.
R If registration fails, the hub sounds
several short beeps.

Changing the sensor
type
You can select whether a window/door
sensor functions as a window sensor or
as a door sensor. For more
information, refer to the User’s Guide
(page 17).
Wireless
communication
range
The wireless communication range of
each device in the system from the hub
is approximately 50 m (160 feet)
indoors and approximately 300 m
(1,000 feet) outdoors. Wireless
communication may be unreliable
when the following obstacles are
located between the hub and other
devices.
R Metal doors or screens
R Walls containing aluminum-sheet
insulation
R Walls made of concrete or
corrugated iron
R Double-pane glass windows
R Multiple walls
R When using each device on
separate floors or in different
buildings
Note:
R You can check the window/door
sensor’s communication status by
pressing M
N. If the LED indicator
is lit in green or red, the sensor is
communicating properly with the
hub. If the LED indicator blinks in
red, it is out of range of the hub.

Temporary placement
Before installing the window/door sensor, temporarily place it in the desired
location and confirm that it operates properly by pressing M N.
Important:
R Attach the sensor unit to the outer frame of the window or door, and the magnet
unit to the inner frame.
R Attach both units so that the “ ” marks point toward each other and are within
25.4 mm (1 inch) of each other.
R The window/door sensor will not operate properly if the “ marks are too far
apart or are facing the wrong way.
Confirming proper operation
After temporarily placing the window/door sensor in the desired location, press
M N while the window or door is closed. The window/door sensor’s LED indicator
lights as follows.
Indicator Status
Green, lit The installation position is correct.
Red, lit
The ” marks on the sensor unit and the magnet unit
are too far from each other. Re-attach the sensor unit
and the magnet unit so that they point directly at each
other and are no more than 25.4 mm (1 inch) apart.
Red, blinking The sensor unit is out of range of the hub. Refer to the
information on page 10.
Note:
R Depending on the condition and material of the surface where the sensor unit
and magnet unit are installed, the LED indicator may light in red even if the
marks point directly at each other and are no more than 25.4 mm (1 inch) apart.

Installation
Install the window/door sensor in the same position where proper operation was
confirmed (page 11). You can install the window/door sensor using screws or
double-sided tape, depending on your preference or the material of the installation
area.
Note:
R When installing, make sure the battery is inserted properly and the sensor unit
cover is completely closed.
R Use screws when installing on a wooden surface. Do not use double-sided tape.

Securing with double-sided tape
Note:
R Make sure the surfaces of the sensor unit, magnet unit, and the installation area
are clean and dry before applying double-sided tape.
1 Check that the sensor unit cover and magnet unit cover are attached.
2 Affix double-sided tape to the sensor unit and magnet unit.
R Make sure the tape covers the screw holes on the back of each unit.

3 Install the sensor unit and magnet unit.
R Press firmly on each unit to ensure solid adhesion to the installation surface.

1 Tie a piece of thread to two sticks, screwdrivers, etc.

Testing the window/
door sensor
You can check the window/door
sensor’s LED indicator and test the
performance of the window/door
sensor.
1 Remove the sensor unit cover.
2 Press M N on the sensor unit.
3 Open and close the window or
door several times.
R Make sure that the LED
indicator lights in green when
you close the window or door.
4 Press M
N again.
Note:
R If the LED indicator lights in red
when the window or door is closed,
the window/door sensor is not
installed properly. Re-evaluate the
position of the sensor unit and
magnet unit (page 11).

You can use the app to arm and
disarm the security system, confirm
the current status of the sensor, and
view a log of previous security
events.

You can configure the window/door
sensor to trigger other system
events, such as camera recording,
turning on an electric device (such
as a lamp), etc. (Appropriate device
required.)
Telephone alert
You can configure the system to call
a preprogrammed phone number
when the window/door sensor is
triggered.

If your product does not work properly because of a defect in materials or workmanship,
Panasonic Corporation of North America (referred to as “the warrantor”) will, for the length
of the period indicated on the chart below, which starts with the date of original purchase
(“Limited Warranty period”), at its option either (a) repair your product with new or
refurbished parts, or (b) replace it with a new or a refurbished equivalent value product, or
(c) refund your purchase price. The decision to repair, replace or refund will be made by
the warrantor.
During the “Labor” Limited Warranty period there will be no charge for labor. During the
“Parts” Limited Warranty period, there will be no charge for parts. You must mail-in your
product prepaid during the Limited Warranty period. This Limited Warranty excludes both
parts and labor for batteries, antennas, and cosmetic parts (cabinet). This Limited
Warranty only applies to products purchased and serviced in the United States or Puerto
Rico. This Limited Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and only covers
products purchased as new.

accessories, and send it prepaid. Include a letter detailing the complaint, a return

registered receipt is required under the 1 year parts and labor Limited Warranty.

This Limited Warranty ONLY COVERS failures due to defects in materials or workmanship,
and DOES NOT COVER normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage. The Limited Warranty
ALSO DOES NOT COVER damages which occurred in shipment, or failures which are
caused by products not supplied by the warrantor, or failures which result from accidents,
misuse, abuse, neglect, bug infestation, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, faulty
installation, set-up adjustments, misadjustment of consumer controls, improper maintenance,
power line surge, lightning damage, modification, introduction of sand, humidity or liquids,
commercial use such as hotel, office, restaurant, or other business or rental use of the
product, or service by anyone other than a Factory Service Center or other Authorized
Servicer, or damage that is attributable to acts of God.
THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES EXCEPT AS LISTED UNDER "LIMITED
WARRANTY COVERAGE". THE WARRANTOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR

Registro del sensor
para ventana/puerta
Este procedimiento no es necesario para
unidades que son parte de un paquete.
Antes de que pueda usar el sensor para
ventana/puerta, se debe registrar en el hub.
Si compró los dispositivos por separado (es
decir, no como parte de un paquete), debe
registrar cada dispositivo en el hub.
Puede registrar cada unidad mediante los
botones de registro o la aplicación [Red
doméstico].
Uso de los botones de registro
1 Hub:
Oprima y mantenga oprimido M
OTHER DEVICEN hasta que el Led
indicador parpadee en verde.
2 Sensor para ventana/puerta:
Quite la tapa de la unidad del sensor y
oprima y mantenga oprimido M N
hasta que el Led indicador parpadee
en verde (página 3).
R Cuando se ha completado el
registro, el hub emitirá un pitido
largo.
Nota:
R Para cancelar el registro, oprima M N
en el hub y en el sensor para ventana/
puerta.
R Si el registro falla, el hub emitirá varios
pitidos cortos.

Uso de la aplicación
Cuando registra el sensor para ventana/
puerta al usar la aplicación [Red
doméstico], puede asignarle un nombre a
sus dispositivos y agruparlos por ubicación.

Cambio de tipo de
sensor
Puede seleccionar si un sensor para
ventana/puerta funciona como sensor para
ventana o sensor para puerta. Para obtener
más información, consulte la Guía del
usuario (página 13).
Alcance de la
comunicación
inalámbrica
El alcance de la comunicación inalámbrica
de cada dispositivo en el sistema del hub
es de aproximadamente 50 m (160 pies) en
interiores y de aproximadamente 300 m
(1,000 pies) en el exterior. Es posible que la
comunicación inalámbrica no sea tan
confiable cuando se encuentran los
obstáculos siguientes entre el hub y otros
dispositivos.
R Puertas o pantallas metálicas
R Paredes que contengan aislamiento de
aluminio
R Paredes de hormigón o hierro corrugado
R Ventanas de vidrio doble
R Varias paredes
R Cuando los dispositivos están en pisos o
edificios diferentes
Nota:
R Puede verificar el estado de la
comunicación del sensor para ventana/
puerta oprimiendo M N. Si el Led
indicador está iluminado en verde o rojo,
el sensor se está comunicando de forma
adecuada con el hub. Si el Led indicador
parpadea en rojo, se encuentra fuera de
alcance del hub.

Colocación temporal
Antes de instalar el sensor para ventana/puerta, colóquelo temporalmente en la ubicación
deseada y confirme que funciona correctamente presionando M N.
Importante:
R Coloque la unidad del sensor en el marco exterior de la ventana o puerta, y la unidad de
imán en el marco interior.
R Coloque ambas unidades de forma tal que las marcas “ ” apunten la una a la otra y
estén a 25.4 mm (1 pulgada) de distancia la una de la otra.
R El sensor para ventana/puerta no funcionará apropiadamente si las marcas “ ” están
muy separadas la una de la otra o si apuntan en la dirección incorrecta.
Verificación del funcionamiento correcto
Después de colocar temporalmente el sensor para ventana/puerta en la ubicación deseada,
oprima M N mientras la ventana o puerta está cerrada. El Led indicador del sensor para
ventana/puerta se ilumina de la siguiente manera.

Rojo, encendido
Las marcas “ ” en la unidad del sensor y la unidad del imán
están muy alejadas la una de la otra. Vuelva a colocar la unidad
del sensor y la unidad del imán de forma tal que apunten la una
a la otra y que estén a no más de 25.4 mm (1 pulgada) de dis-
tancia.
Rojo, parpadeante La unidad del sensor está fuera de alcance del hub. Consulte la
información en página 5.
Nota:
R Dependiendo de las condiciones y del material de la superficie donde la unidad del
sensor y la unidad del imán se instalaron, el Led indicador podría iluminarse en rojo
aunque las marcas “ ” apunten la una a la otra y estén a no más de 25.4 mm

Instale el sensor para ventana/puerta en la misma posición donde se confirmó el
funcionamiento correcto (página 6). Ahora puede instalar el sensor para ventana/puerta con
tornillos o cinta adhesiva de doble cara, en función de su preferencia o del material del área
de instalación.
Nota:
R Al instalar, asegúrese de que la batería esté colocada adecuadamente y que la tapa de
la unidad del sensor esté cerrada por completo.
R Cuando instale en superficies de madera, use tornillos. No use cinta adhesiva de doble
cara.

Ajuste con cinta adhesiva de doble cara
Nota:
R Asegúrese de que las superficies de la unidad del sensor, la unidad del imán y el área de
instalación están limpias y secas antes de colocar la cinta adhesiva de doble cara.
1 Verifique que se hayan colocado la tapa de la unidad del sensor y la tapa de la unidad
del imán.
2 Pegue la cinta adhesiva de doble cara a la unidad del sensor y la unidad del imán.
R Asegúrese de que la cinta cubra los hoyos de los tornillos en la parte posterior de
cada unidad.

3 Instale la unidad del sensor y la unidad del imán.

1 Ate un pedazo de hilo a dos palos, destornilladores, etc.
2 Tire firmemente del hilo y úselo para cortar la cinta de doble cara, y luego elimine

1 Quite la tapa de la unidad del sensor.
2 Oprima M N en la unidad del
sensor.
3 Abra y cierre la ventana o puerta
varias veces.
R Asegúrese de que el Led indicador
se encienda en verde cuando
cierra la ventana o puerta.
4 Presione M N de nuevo.
Nota:
R Si el Led indicador se enciende en rojo
cuando la ventana o la puerta está
cerrada, el sensor para ventana/puerta
no está bien instalado. Revalúe la
posición de la unidad del sensor y la
unidad del imán (página 6).
