If applicable, remove the bezel.

If applicable, unlock the bezel.

While grasping the bezel, slide it toward the key lock.

Rotate the right side of the bezel away from the front panel.

Pull the bezel away from the system.

Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical
outlet.

To remove the system cover, loosen the two captive screws at the back of the system.

While pressing down on the cover indention, slide the cover backward about an inch,
and grasp the cover on both sides.

Carefully lift the cover away from the system.
6
Align the diskette drive's mounting holes with the retaining pins on the hard drive 1 bracket.
See Figure 1-1.

Rotate the drive downward until it snaps into place.

Connect the interface cable.
NOTE: Ensure that the interface cable is properly inserted into the connectors of the control panel
and diskette drive. Visually check the cable connection by ensuring that the cable contacts are
even across the length of the connector.

Connect the end of the interface cable labeled FD to the diskette drive.

Connect the other end of the interface cable to the control panel FDD cable connector.

Place the cover over the sides of the chassis, and slide the cover forward until it snaps
into place.

Tighten the two captive screws at the back of the system to secure the cover.

Entfernen Sie gegebenenfalls die Blende.

Schließen Sie die Blende gegebenenfalls auf.

Halten Sie die Blende fest, und schieben Sie sie in Richtung Schlüsselverriegelung.

Drehen Sie die rechte Seite der Blende von der Frontblende weg.

Ziehen Sie die Blende vom System weg.

Schalten Sie das System sowie die angeschlossenen Peripheriegeräte aus, und unterbrechen
Sie die Stromzufuhr.

Lösen Sie die selbstsichernden Schrauben an der Rückseite des Systems, um die System-
abdeckung zu entfernen.

Drücken Sie die Vertiefungen in der Abdeckung herunter, schieben Sie gleichzeitig die
Abdeckung etwa 2,5 cm nach hinten, und halten Sie die Abdeckung an beiden Seiten fest.

Heben Sie die Abdeckung vorsichtig von dem System ab.

Richten Sie die Montagelöcher des Diskettenlaufwerks an den Sicherungsstiften
der Halterung von Festplatte 1 aus. Siehe Abbildung 1-1.

Drehen Sie das Laufwerk nach unten, bis es einrastet.

Schließen Sie das Schnittstellenkabel an.
HINWEIS: Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Schnittstellenkabel ordnungsgemäß mit den Anschlüssen
der Systemsteuerung und des Diskettenlaufwerks verbunden ist. Überprüfen Sie die Kabel-
verbindung, indem Sie sicherstellen, dass die Kabelkontakte korrekt an dem Anschluss
festgesteckt sind.
