SAFETY INFORMATION

In the interest of your safety and to ensure

the correct use, before installing and first

using the appliance, read this user manual

carefully, including its hints and warnings.

To avoid unnecessary mistakes and acci-

dents, it is important to ensure that all peo-

ple using the appliance are thoroughly fa-

miliar with its operation and safety features.

Save these instructions and make sure that

they remain with the appliance if it is moved

or sold, so that everyone using it through

its life will be properly informed on appli-

ance use and safety.

For the safety of life and property keep the

precautions of these user's instructions as

the manufacturer is not responsible for

damages caused by omission.

CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE

PEOPLE SAFETY

• This appliance is not intended for use by

persons (including children) with reduced

physical, sensory or mental capabilities,

or lack of experience and knowledge,

unless they have been given supervision

or instruction concerning use of the ap-

pliance by a person responsible for their

safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure

that they do not play with the appliance.

• Keep all packaging well away from chil-

dren. There is risk of suffocation.

• If you are discarding the appliance pull

the plug out of the socket, cut the con-

nection cable (as close to the appliance

as you can) and remove the door to pre-

vent playing children to suffer electric

shock or to close themselves into it.

• If this appliance featuring magnetic door

seals is to replace an older appliance

having a spring lock (latch) on the door

or lid, be sure to make that spring lock

unusable before you discard the old ap-

pliance. This will prevent it from becom-

ing a death trap for a child.

GENERAL SAFETY

WARNING!

Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance

enclosure or in the built-in structure, clear

of obstruction.

• The appliance is intended for keeping

foodstuff and/or beverages in a normal

household as explained in this instruction

booklet.

• Do not use a mechanical device or any

artificial means to speed up the thawing

process.

• Do not use other electrical appliances

(such as ice cream makers) inside of re-

frigerating appliances, unless they are

approved for this purpose by the manu-

facturer.

• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.

• The refrigerant isobutane (R600a) is con-

tained within the refrigerant circuit of the

appliance, a natural gas with a high level

of environmental compatibility, which is

nevertheless flammable.

During transportation and installation of

the appliance, be certain that none of the

components of the refrigerant circuit be-

come damaged.

If the refrigerant circuit should become

damaged:

– avoid open flames and sources of igni-

tion

– thoroughly ventilate the room in which

the appliance is situated

• It is dangerous to alter the specifications

or modify this product in any way. Any

damage to the cord may cause a short-

circuit, fire and/or electric shock.

WARNING!

Any electrical component (power

cord, plug, compressor) must be

replaced by a certified service

agent or qualified service personnel

to avoid hazard.

Power cord must not be lengthened.

Make sure that the power plug is not

squashed or damaged by the back

of the appliance. A squashed or

damaged power plug may overheat

and cause a fire.

Make sure that you can come to the

mains plug of the appliance.

Do not pull the mains cable.

If the power plug socket is loose, do

not insert the power plug. There is a

risk of electric shock or fire.

You must not operate the appliance

without the lamp cover (if foreseen)

of interior lighting.

• This appliance is heavy. Care should be

taken when moving it.

• Do not remove nor touch items from the

freezer compartment if your hands are

damp/wet, as this could cause skin

abrasions or frost/freezer burns.

• Avoid prolonged exposure of the appli-

ance to direct sunlight.

• Bulb lamps (if foreseen) used in this ap-

pliance are special purpose lamps selec-

ted for household appliances use only.

They are not suitable for household room

illumination.

DAILY USE

• Do not put hot pot on the plastic parts in

the appliance.

• Do not store flammable gas and liquid in

the appliance, because they may ex-

plode.

• Do not place food products directly

against the air outlet on the rear wall. (If

the appliance is Frost Free)

• Frozen food must not be re-frozen once

it has been thawed out.

• Store pre-packed frozen food in accord-

ance with the frozen food manufacturer's

instructions.

• Appliance's manufacturers storage rec-

ommendations should be strictly ad-

hered to. Refer to relevant instructions.

• Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks

in the freezer compartment as it creates

pressure on the container, which may

cause it to explode, resulting in damage

to the appliance.

• Ice lollies can cause frost burns if con-

sumed straight from the appliance.

CARE AND CLEANING

• Before maintenance, switch off the appli-

ance and disconnect the mains plug

from the mains socket.

• Do not clean the appliance with metal

objects.

• Do not use sharp objects to remove frost

from the appliance. Use a plastic scra-

per.

• Regularly examine the drain in the refrig-

erator for defrosted water. If necessary,

clean the drain. If the drain is blocked,

water will collect in the bottom of the ap-

pliance.

INSTALLATION

For electrical connection carefully

follow the instructions given in spe-

cific paragraphs.

• Unpack the appliance and check if there

are damages on it. Do not connect the

appliance if it is damaged. Report possi-

ble damages immediately to the place

you bought it. In that case retain pack-

ing.

• It is advisable to wait at least four hours

before connecting the appliance to allow

the oil to flow back in the compressor.

• Adequate air circulation should be

around the appliance, lacking this leads

to overheating. To achieve sufficient ven-

tilation follow the instructions relevant to

installation.

• Wherever possible the back of the prod-

uct should be against a wall to avoid

touching or catching warm parts (com-

pressor, condenser) to prevent possible

burn.

• The appliance must not be located close

to radiators or cookers.

• Make sure that the mains plug is acces-

sible after the installation of the appli-

ance.

• Connect to potable water supply only (If

a water connection is foreseen).

SERVICE

• Any electrical work required to do the

servicing of the appliance should be car-

ried out by a qualified electrician or com-

petent person.

• This product must be serviced by an au-

thorized Service Centre, and only genu-

ine spare parts must be used.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION

This appliance does not contain

gasses which could damage the

ozone layer, in either its refrigerant

circuit or insulation materials. The

appliance shall not be discarded

together with the urban refuse and

rubbish. The insulation foam con-

tains flammable gases: the appli-

ance shall be disposed according

to the applicable regulations to ob-

tain from your local authorities.

Avoid damaging the cooling unit,

especially at the rear near the heat

exchanger. The materials used on

this appliance marked by the sym-

bol

are recyclable.

OPERATION

SWITCHING ON

Insert the plug into the wall socket.

Turn the Temperature regulator clockwise

to a medium setting.

SWITCHING OFF

To turn off the appliance, turn the Temper-

ature regulator to the "O" position.

TEMPERATURE REGULATION

The temperature is automatically regulated.

To operate the appliance, proceed as fol-

lows:

• turn the Temperature regulator toward

lower settings to obtain the minimum

coldness.

• turn the Temperature regulator toward

higher settings to obtain the maximum

coldness.

A medium setting is generally the

most suitable.

However, the exact setting should be

chosen keeping in mind that the tempera-

ture inside the appliance depends on:

• room temperature

• how often the door is opened

• the quantity of food stored

• the location of the appliance.

If the ambient temperature is high

or the appliance is fully loaded, and

the appliance is set to the lowest

temperatures, it may run continu-

ously causing frost to form on the

rear wall. In this case the dial must

be set to a higher temperature to

allow automatic defrosting and

therefore reduced energy con-

sumption.

DAILY USE

CLEANING THE INTERIOR

Before using the appliance for the first time,

wash the interior and all internal accesso-

ries with lukewarm water and some neutral

soap so as to remove the typical smell of a

brand-new product, then dry thoroughly.

Do not use detergents or abrasive

powders, as these will damage the

finish.

FREEZING FRESH FOOD

The freezer compartment is suitable for

freezing fresh food and storing frozen and

deep-frozen food for a long time.

To freeze fresh foods it is not necessary to

change the medium setting.

However, for a faster freezing operation,

turn the temperature regulator toward high-

er settings to obtain the maximum cold-

ness.

In this condition, the refrigerator

compartment temperature might

drop below 0°C. If this occurs reset

the temperature regulator to a

warmer setting.

The maximum amount of food that can be

frozen in 24 hours is specified on the rat-

ing plate, a label located on the inside of

the appliance.

The freezing process lasts 24 hours: during

this period do not add other food to be fro-

zen.

STORAGE OF FROZEN FOOD

When first starting-up or after a period out

of use, before putting the products in the

compartment let the appliance run at least

2 hours on the higher settings.

In the event of accidental defrost-

ing, for example due to a power

failure, if the power has been off for

longer than the value shown in the

technical characteristics chart un-

der "rising time", the defrosted food

must be consumed quickly or

cooked immediately and then re-

frozen (after cooling).

THAWING

Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to being

used, can be thawed in the refrigerator

compartment or at room temperature, de-

pending on the time available for this oper-

ation.

Small pieces may even be cooked still fro-

zen, directly from the freezer: in this case,

cooking will take longer.

TEMPERATURE INDICATOR

This appliance is sold in France.

In accordance with regulations valid in this

country it must be provided with a special

device (see figure) placed in the lower com-

partment of the fridge to indicate the cold-

est zone of it.

MOVABLE SHELVES

The walls of the refrigerator are equipped

with a series of runners so that the shelves

can be positioned as desired.

For better use of space, the front half-

shelves can lie over the rear ones.

POSITIONING THE DOOR SHELVES

To permit storage of food packages of vari-

ous sizes, the door shelves can be placed

at different heights.

To make these adjustments proceed as fol-

low: gradually pull the shelf in the direction

of the arrows until it comes free, then repo-

sition as required.

FREESTORE FUNCTION

The FREESTORE function let food cool

quickly and a more uniform temperature in

the compartment.

Press the switch (1) to switch on the FREE-

STORE . The green light (2) comes on.

This device allows for rapid cooling of

foods and a more uniform temperature in

the compartment.

Switch on the FREESTORE function when

the ambient temperature exceeds 25°C.

HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS

HINTS FOR ENERGY SAVING

• Do not open the door frequently or leave

it open longer than absolutely necessary.

• If the ambient temperature is high and

the Temperature Regulator is set to low

temperature and the appliance is fully

loaded, the compressor may run contin-

uously, causing frost or ice on the evap-

orator. If this happens, set the Tempera-

ture Regulator toward warmer settings to

allow automatic defrosting and so a sav-

ing in electricity consumption.

HINTS FOR FRESH FOOD

REFRIGERATION

To obtain the best performance:

• do not store warm food or evaporating

liquids in the refrigerator

• do cover or wrap the food, particularly if

it has a strong flavour

• position food so that air can circulate

freely around it

HINTS FOR REFRIGERATION

Useful hints:

Meat (all types) : wrap in polythene bags

and place on the glass shelf above the veg-

etable drawer.

For safety, store in this way only one or two

days at the most.

Cooked foods, cold dishes, etc..: these

should be covered and may be placed on

any shelf.

Fruit and vegetables: these should be thor-

oughly cleaned and placed in the special

drawer(s) provided.

Butter and cheese: these should be placed

in special airtight containers or wrapped in

aluminium foil or polythene bags to exclude

as much air as possible.

Milk bottles: these should have a cap and

should be stored in the bottle rack on the

door.

Bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic, if not

packed, must not be kept in the refrigera-

tor.

HINTS FOR FREEZING

To help you make the most of the freezing

process, here are some important hints:

• the maximum quantity of food which can

be frozen in 24 hrs. is shown on the rat-

ing plate;

• the freezing process takes 24 hours. No

further food to be frozen should be add-

ed during this period;

• only freeze top quality, fresh and thor-

oughly cleaned, foodstuffs;

• prepare food in small portions to enable

it to be rapidly and completely frozen

and to make it possible subsequently to

thaw only the quantity required;

• wrap up the food in aluminium foil or pol-

ythene and make sure that the packages

are airtight;

• do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to

touch food which is already frozen, thus

avoiding a rise in temperature of the lat-

ter;

• lean foods store better and longer than

fatty ones; salt reduces the storage life of

food;

• water ices, if consumed immediately af-

ter removal from the freezer compart-

ment, can possibly cause the skin to be

freeze burnt;

• it is advisable to show the freezing in

date on each individual pack to enable

you to keep tab of the storage time.

HINTS FOR STORAGE OF

FROZEN FOOD

To obtain the best performance from this

appliance, you should:

• make sure that the commercially frozen

foodstuffs were adequately stored by the

retailer;

• be sure that frozen foodstuffs are trans-

ferred from the foodstore to the freezer

in the shortest possible time;

• not open the door frequently or leave it

open longer than absolutely necessary;

• once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly

and cannot be refrozen;

• do not exceed the storage period indica-

ted by the food manufacturer.

CARE AND CLEANING

CAUTION!

Unplug the appliance before carry-

ing out any maintenance operation.

This appliance contains hydrocar-

bons in its cooling unit; mainte-

nance and recharging must there-

fore only be carried out by author-

ized technicians.

PERIODIC CLEANING

The equipment has to be cleaned regularly:

• clean the inside and accessories with

lukewarm water and some neutral soap.

• regularly check the door seals and wipe

clean to ensure they are clean and free

from debris.

• rinse and dry thoroughly.

Do not pull, move or damage any

pipes and/or cables inside the cab-

inet.

Never use detergents, abrasive

powders, highly perfumed cleaning

products or wax polishes to clean

the interior as this will damage the

surface and leave a strong odour.

Clean the condenser (black grill) and the

compressor at the back of the appliance

with a brush. This operation will improve

the performance of the appliance and save

electricity consumption.

Take care of not to damage the

cooling system.

Many proprietary kitchen surface cleaners

contain chemicals that can attack/damage

the plastics used in this appliance. For this

reason it is recommended that the outer

casing of this appliance is only cleaned with

warm water with a little washing-up liquid

added.

After cleaning, reconnect the equipment to

the mains supply.

DEFROSTING OF THE REFRIGERATOR

Frost is automatically eliminated from the

evaporator of the refrigerator compartment

every time the motor compressor stops,

during normal use. The defrost water drains

out through a trough into a special contain-

er at the back of the appliance, over the

motor compressor, where it evaporates.

Periodically clean the defrost water drain

hole in the middle of the refrigerator com-

partment channel to prevent the water

overflowing and dripping onto the food in-

side. Use the special cleaner provided,

which you will find already inserted into the

drain hole.

DEFROSTING THE FREEZER

A certain amount of frost will al-

ways form around the top com-

partment.

Defrost the freezer when the frost

layer reaches a thickness of about

3-5 mm.

To remove the frost, do these steps:

Switch off the appliance.

Remove any stored food, wrap it in

several layers of newspaper and put it

in a cool place.

Open the door.

When defrosting is completed, dry the

interior thoroughly.

Switch on the appliance.

Set the temperature regulator to obtain

the maximum coldness and run the

appliance for two or three hours using

this setting.

Reload the previously removed food in-

to the compartment.

WARNING!

Never use sharp metal tools to

scrape off frost from the evaporator

as you could damage it. Do not

use a mechanical device or any ar-

tificial means to speed up the

thawing process other than those

recommended by the manufactur-

er. A temperature rise of the frozen

food packs, during defrosting, may

shorten their safe storage life.

PERIODS OF NON-OPERATION

When the appliance is not in use for long

periods, take the following precautions:

•

disconnect the appliance from elec-

tricity supply

• remove all food

• defrost (if foreseen) and clean the appli-

ance and all accessories

• leave the door/doors ajar to prevent un-

pleasant smells.

If the cabinet will be kept on, ask some-

body to check it once in a while to prevent

the food inside from spoiling in case of a

power failure.

WHAT TO DO IF…

WARNING!

Before troubleshooting, disconnect

the mains plug from the mains

socket.

Only a qualified electrician or com-

petent person must do the trouble-

shooting that is not in this manual.

There are some sounds during nor-

mal use (compressor, refrigerant

circulation).

REPLACING THE LAMP

Disconnect the mains plug from the

mains socket.

Remove the screw from the lamp cov-

er.

Remove the lamp cover (refer to the il-

lustration).

Replace the used lamp with a new

lamp of the same power and specifi-

cally designed for household applian-

ces. (the maximum power is shown on

the lamp cover).

Install the lamp cover.

Tighten the screw to the lamp cover.

Connect the mains plug to the mains

socket.

Open the door. Make sure that the

lamp comes on.

CLOSING THE DOOR

Clean the door gaskets.

If necessary, adjust the door. Refer to

"Installation".

If necessary, replace the defective door

gaskets. Contact the Service Center.

POSITIONING

WARNING!

If you are discarding an old appli-

ance that has a lock or catch on

the door, you must ensure that it is

made unusable to prevent young

children being trapped inside.

The appliance shall have the plug

accessible after installation.

Install this appliance at a location where the

ambient temperature corresponds to the

climate class indicated on the rating plate

of the appliance:

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

Before plugging in, ensure that the voltage

and frequency shown on the rating plate

correspond to your domestic power sup-

ply.

The appliance must be earthed. The power

supply cable plug is provided with a con-

tact for this purpose. If the domestic power

supply socket is not earthed, connect the

appliance to a separate earth in compli-

ance with current regulations, consulting a

qualified electrician.

The manufacturer declines all responsibility

if the above safety precautions are not ob-

served.

This appliance complies with the E.E.C. Di-

rectives.

DOOR REVERSIBILITY

The door of the appliance opens to the

right. If you want to open the door to the

left, follow these steps before you install the

appliance:

Loosen and remove the upper pin.

Remove the door.

Remove the spacer.

With a key, loosen the lower pin.

On the opposite side:

Tighten the lower pin.

Install the spacer.

Install the door.

Tighten the upper pin.

INSTALLING THE APPLIANCE

CAUTION!

Make sure that the mains cable

can move freely.

Do the following steps:

If necessary cut the adhesive sealing strip

and then apply it to the appliance as shown

in figure.

Drill the appliance using a Ø 2.5 mm drill (10

mm max. penetration).

Fix the square fitting to the appliance.

Install the appliance in the niche.

Push the appliance in the direction of the ar-

row (1) until the upper gap cover stops

against the kitchen furniture.

Push the appliance in the direction of the ar-

row (2) against the cupboard on the oppo-

site side of the hinge.

Adjust the appliance in the niche.

Make sure that the distance between the

appliance and the cupboard front-edge is

44 mm.

The lower hinge cover (in the accessories

bag) makes sure that the distance between

the appliance and the kitchen furniture is

correct.

Make sure that the clearance between the

appliance and the cupboard is 4 mm.

Open the door. Put the lower hinge cover in

position.

Attach the appliance to the niche with 4

screws.

Remove the correct part from the hinge

cover (E). Make sure to remove the part DX,

in the case of right hinge, SX in opposite

case.

Attach the covers (C, D) to the lugs and the

hinge holes.

Install the vent grille (B).

Attach the hinge covers (E) to the hinge.

Disconnect the parts (Ha), (Hb), (Hc) and

(Hd).

Install the part (Ha) on the inner side of the

kitchen furniture.

Push the part (Hc) on the part (Ha).

Open the appliance door and the kitchen

furniture door at an angle of 90°.

Insert the small square (Hb) into guide (Ha).

Put together the appliance door and the fur-

Achten Sie darauf, dass die Belüftungsöff-

nungen im Gehäuse oder in der Einbauni-

sche nicht blockiert sind.

• Das Gerät ist für die Aufbewahrung von

Lebensmitteln und/oder Getränken in ei-

nem normalen Haushalt bestimmt, wie in

der vorliegenden Gebrauchsanweisung

beschrieben wird.

• Benutzen Sie keine mechanischen oder

sonstigen Hilfsmittel, um den Abtaupro-

zess zu beschleunigen.

• Verwenden Sie keine anderen Elektroge-

räte (wie Speiseeisbereiter) in Kühlgerä-

ten, wenn solche Geräte nicht ausdrück-

lich vom Hersteller für diesen Zweck zu-

gelassen sind.

• Beschädigen Sie nicht den Kältekreis-

lauf.

• Das Kältemittel Isobutan (R600a) im Käl-

tekreislauf des Gerätes ist ein natürliches

und sehr umweltfreundliches Gas, das

jedoch leicht entflammbar ist.

Achten Sie beim Transport und bei der

Aufstellung des Gerätes darauf, nicht die

Komponenten des Kältekreislaufs zu be-

schädigen.

Bei einer eventuellen Beschädigung des

Kältekreislaufs:

– Offene Flammen und Zündfunken ver-

meiden

– Den Raum, in dem das Gerät installiert

ist, gut lüften

• Technische und anderweitige Änderun-

gen am Gerät sind gefährlich. Ein defek-

tes Netzkabel kann Kurzschlüsse und ei-

nen Brand verursachen und/oder zu

Stromschlägen führen.

Netzstecker nicht von der Geräte-

Ziehen Sie nicht am Netzkabel.

Sie eignen sich nicht zur Raumbeleuch-

TÄGLICHER GEBRAUCH

• Stellen Sie keine heißen Töpfe auf die

Kunststoffteile des Gerätes.

• Lagern Sie keine feuergefährlichen Gase

oder Flüssigkeiten in dem Gerät. Explosi-

onsgefahr.

• Legen Sie Lebensmittel nicht direkt vor

den Luftauslass in der Rückwand. (Wenn

es ein No-Frost-Gerät ist)

• Ein aufgetautes Produkt darf nicht wie-

der eingefroren werden.

• Abgepackte Tiefkühlkost immer entspre-

chend den Herstellerangaben aufbewah-

ren.

• Die Lagerempfehlungen des Gerätehers-

tellers sollten strikt eingehalten werden.

Halten Sie sich an die betreffenden An-

weisungen.

• Keine kohlensäurehaltigen Getränke oder

Sprudel in den Tiefkühlschrank stellen,

da der Druckanstieg in den Behältern zur

Explosion führen und das Gerät beschä-

digen kann.

• Eis am Stiel kann Kälteverbrennungen

verursachen, wenn es direkt nach der

Entnahme aus dem Gefrierschrank ge-

gessen wird.

REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE

• Schalten Sie vor Wartungsarbeiten im-

mer das Gerät ab und ziehen Sie den

Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

• Reinigen Sie das Gerät nicht mit Metall-

gegenständen.

• Keine scharfen Gegenstände zum Ent-

fernen von Reif und Eis im Gerät verwen-

den. Verwenden Sie einen Kunststoffsc-

haber.

• Kontrollieren Sie den Tauwasserabfluss

im Kühlraum in regelmäßigen Abständen.

Reinigen Sie den Ablauf, falls nötig. Bei

verstopftem Wasserabfluss sammelt sich

das Wasser auf dem Boden des Geräts

an.

MONTAGE

Halten Sie sich für den elektrischen

Anschluss strikt an die Anweisun-

gen der betreffenden Abschnitte.

• Kontrollieren Sie nach dem Auspacken

das Gerät auf eventuelle Beschädigun-

gen. Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Be-

trieb, wenn es beschädigt ist. Melden Sie

die Schäden umgehend dem Händler,

bei dem Sie es erworben haben. Bewah-

ren Sie in diesem Fall die Verpackung

auf.

• Lassen Sie das Gerät mindestens vier

Stunden stehen, bevor Sie es elektrisch

anschließen, damit das Öl in den Kom-

pressor zurückfließen kann.

• Ausreichenden Freiraum zur Luftzirkulati-

on um das Gerät lassen; anderenfalls

besteht Überhitzungsgefahr. Halten Sie

sich für die Belüftung an die Installations-

anweisungen.

• Das Gerät sollte zur Vermeidung von

Verbrennungen durch Berührung von

heißen Bauteilen (Kompressor, Konden-

sator) möglichst mit der Rückseite gegen

eine Wand aufgestellt werden.

• Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von

Heizkörpern oder Kochern installiert wer-

den.

• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Netzste-

cker des Gerätes nach der Installation

frei zugänglich ist.

• Wenn ein Wasseranschluss vorgesehen

ist, verbinden Sie das Gerät nur mit dem

Trinkwasseranschluss.

KUNDENDIENST

• Sollte die Wartung des Gerätes elektri-

sche Arbeiten verlangen, so dürfen diese

nur von einem qualifizierten Elektriker

oder einem Elektro-Fachmann durchge-

führt werden.

• Wenden Sie sich für Reparaturen und

Wartung nur an Fachkräfte der autori-

sierten Kundendienststellen und verlan-

gen Sie stets Original-Ersatzteile.

UMWELTSCHUTZ

Das Gerät enthält im Kältekreis

oder in dem Isoliermaterial keine

ozonschädigenden Gase. Das Ge-

rät darf nicht wie normaler Haus-

müll entsorgt werden. Die Isolie-

rung enthält entzündliche Gase:

das Gerät muss gemäß den gelten-

den Vorschriften entsorgt werden;

sie erhalten diese bei Ihrer Gemein-

deverwaltung. Nicht das Kälteag-

gregat beschädigen, insbesondere

nicht in der Nähe des Wärmetau-

schers. Die Materialien, die bei der

Herstellung dieses Geräts verwen-

det wurden und mit dem Symbol

markiert sind, können recycelt

werden.

EINSCHALTEN DES GERÄTS

Stecken Sie den Stecker in die Wandsteck-

dose.

Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler im Uhr-

zeigersinn auf eine mittlere Einstellung.

AUSSCHALTEN DES GERÄTS

Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler zum Aus-

schalten des Geräts in die Position "O".

TEMPERATURREGELUNG

Die Temperatur wird automatisch geregelt.

Bedienen Sie das Gerät wie folgt:

• drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf ei-

ne niedrigere Einstellung, um die minimal

mögliche Kühlung zu erreichen.

• drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf ei-

ne höhere Einstellung, um die maximal

mögliche Kühlung zu erreichen.

gemeinen am besten geeignet.

Allerdings muss für eine exakte Einstellung

berücksichtigt werden, dass die Tempera-

tur im Innern des Gerätes von verschiede-

nen Faktoren abhängt:

• von der Raumtemperatur

• von der Häufigkeit der Türöffnung

• von der Menge der eingelagerten Le-

bensmittel

• und vom Standort des Geräts.

Ist die Umgebungstemperatur hoch

oder das Gerät voll beladen, dieses

aber auf die niedrigste Temperatur

eingestellt, so kann es bei andau-

erndem Betrieb des Geräts an der

Rückwand zu Frostbildung kom-

men. In diesem Fall muss eine hö-

here Temperatur gewählt werden,

die ein automatisches Abtauen er-

möglicht und damit auch einen

niedrigeren Energieverbrauch.

TÄGLICHER GEBRAUCH

REINIGEN DES INNENRAUMS

Bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen,

beseitigen Sie den typischen „Neugeruch“

am besten durch Reinigen der Innenteile

mit lauwarmem Wasser und einer neutralen

Seife. Sorgfältig nachtrocknen.

Verwenden Sie keine Reinigungs-

mittel oder Scheuerpulver, da hier-

durch die Oberfläche beschädigt

wird.

EINFRIEREN FRISCHER

LEBENSMITTEL

Der Gefrierraum eignet sich zum Einfrieren

von frischen Lebensmitteln und zum La-

gern von gefrorenen und tiefgefrorenen Le-

bensmitteln über einen längeren Zeitraum.

Für das Einfrieren frischer Lebensmittel ist

eine Änderung der mittleren Einstellung

nicht erforderlich.

Möchten Sie den Gefriervorgang beschleu-

nigen, drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf

eine höhere Einstellung, um die maximal

mögliche Kühlung zu erreichen.

Unter diesen Umständen kann die

Temperatur im Kühlschrank unter 0

°C fallen. Ist dies der Fall, drehen

Sie den Temperaturregler auf eine

wärmere Einstellung.

Die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln, die

in 24 Stunden eingefroren werden kann, ist

auf dem Typenschild angegeben, das

sich im Innern des Geräts befindet.

Der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden: Le-

gen Sie während dieses Zeitraums keine

weiteren einzufrierenden Lebensmittel in

das Gerät.

LAGERUNG GEFRORENER

PRODUKTE

Lassen Sie das Gerät vor der ersten In-

betriebnahme oder nach einer Zeit, in der

das Gerät nicht benutzt wurde, mindestens

zwei Stunden lang auf den höheren Einstel-

lungen laufen, bevor Sie Lebensmittel in

das Gefrierfach hinein legen.

Kam es zum Beispiel durch einen

Stromausfall, der länger dauerte als

der in der Tabelle mit den techni-

schen Daten angegebene Wert

(siehe "Ausfalldauer") zu einem un-

gewollten Abtauen, dann müssen

die aufgetauten Lebensmittel sehr

rasch verbraucht oder sofort ge-

kocht und (nach dem Abkühlen) er-

neut eingefroren werden.

AUFTAUEN

Tiefgefrorene oder gefrorene Lebensmittel

können vor der Verwendung je nach der

zur Verfügung stehenden Zeit im Kühl-

schrank oder bei Raumtemperatur aufge-

taut werden.

Kleinere Gefriergutteile können unter Um-

ständen sogar direkt aus dem Gefrier-

schrank entnommen und anschließend so-

fort gekocht oder gegart werden: in diesem

Fall dauert der Garvorgang allerdings etwas

länger.

TEMPERATURANZEIGE

Das Gerät wird in Frankreich verkauft.

Entsprechend den Vorschriften in diesem

Land muss das Gerät mit einer speziellen

Vorrichtung ausgestattet sein (siehe Abbil-

dung), die im unteren Fach des Kühlraums

angebracht ist und den kältesten Bereich

des Kühlraums anzeigt.

VERSTELLBARE ABLAGEN

Die Wände des Kühlschranks sind mit einer

Reihe von Führungsschienen ausgestattet,

die verschiedene Möglichkeiten für das Ein-

setzen der Ablagen bieten.

Zur besseren Raumnutzung können die

vorderen Hälften der Ablagen auf die hint-

eren Hälften gelegt werden.

POSITIONIEREN DER TÜRABLAGEN

Die Türablagen können in unterschiedlicher

Höhe positioniert werden, womit das La-

gern verschieden großer Lebensmittelpa-

ckungen ermöglicht wird.

Nehmen Sie die Einstellungen wie folgt vor:

Ziehen Sie den Einsatz langsam in Pfeilrich-

tung, bis er sich herausheben lässt, und

setzen Sie ihn dann an der gewünschten

Position wieder ein.

FREESTORE-FUNKTION

Mit der FREESTORE-Funktion werden die

Lebensmittel schneller gekühlt und eine

gleichmäßigere Temperatur im Kühlraum

erzeugt.

Drücken Sie zum Einschalten der FREE-

STORE-Funktion die Taste (1). Die grüne

Anzeigeleuchte (2) leuchtet auf.

Die Funktion sorgt für eine rasche Kühlung

der Lebensmittel und eine gleichmäßigere

Temperatur im Innenraum.

Die FREESTORE-Funktion sollte einge-

schaltet werden, wenn die Umgebungs-

temperatur über 25 °C steigt.

ENERGIESPARTIPPS

• Öffnen Sie die Tür nicht zu häufig, und

lassen Sie diese nicht länger offen als

unbedingt notwendig.

• Wenn die Umgebungstemperatur hoch

ist und der Temperaturregler auf eine

niedrige Temperatur eingestellt und das

Gerät voll beladen ist, kann es zu andau-

erndem Betrieb des Kompressors und

damit zu Reif- oder Eisbildung am Ver-

dampfer kommen. Stellen Sie in diesem

Fall den Temperaturregler auf eine höhe-

re Einstellung ein, die ein automatisches

Abtauen und damit auch einen niedrig-

eren Energieverbrauch ermöglicht.

HINWEISE FÜR DIE KÜHLUNG

FRISCHER LEBENSMITTEL

So erzielen Sie beste Ergebnisse:

• Legen Sie bitte keine warmen Lebens-

mittel oder dampfende Flüssigkeiten in

den Kühlschrank.

• Decken Sie die Lebensmittel ab oder

verpacken Sie diese entsprechend, be-

sonders wenn diese stark riechen.

• Legen Sie die Lebensmittel so hinein,

dass um sie Luft frei zirkulieren kann.

HINWEISE FÜR DIE KÜHLUNG

Tipps:

Fleisch (alle Sorten): wickeln Sie Fleisch in

lebensmittelechte Tüten und legen Sie die-

se auf die Glasablage über der Gemüse-

schublade.

Bitte lagern Sie Fleisch aus Sicherheits-

gründen nur einen oder maximal zwei Tage

auf diese Weise.

Gekochte Lebensmittel, kalte Gerichte

usw.: diese können abgedeckt auf eine Ab-

lage gelegt werden.

Obst und Gemüse: bitte waschen Sie Obst

und Gemüse gründlich und legen Sie es in

die speziell dafür vorgesehene(n) Schubla-

de(n).

Butter und Käse: diese sollten stets in spe-

ziellen luftdichten Behältern verpackt sein

oder in Aluminiumfolie bzw. in lebensmitte-

lechte Tüten eingepackt werden, um so

wenig Luft wie möglich in der Verpackung

zu haben.

Milchflaschen: bitte bewahren Sie Milchfla-

schen stets mit Deckel im Flaschenregal in

der Tür auf.

Bananen, Kartoffeln, Zwiebeln und Knob-

lauch sollten nicht im Kühlschrank aufbe-

wahrt werden, außer diese sind dafür spe-

ziell verpackt.

HINWEISE ZUM EINFRIEREN

Im Folgenden finden Sie einige wertvolle

Tipps für einen optimalen Gefriervorgang:

• die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln,

die innerhalb von 24 Stunden eingefroren

werden kann. ist auf dem Typschild an-

gegeben;

• der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden.

Legen Sie während dieses Zeitraums

keine weiteren einzufrierenden Lebens-

mittel in das Gefrierfach;

• frieren Sie ausschließlich frische und

gründlich gewaschene Lebensmittel von

sehr guter Qualität ein;

• teilen Sie die Lebensmittel in kleinere

Portionen ein, damit diese schnell und

vollständig gefrieren und Sie später nur

die Menge auftauen müssen, die Sie ge-

rade benötigen;

• die einzufrierenden Lebensmittelportio-

nen sollten stets luftdicht in Aluminiumfo-

lie oder in lebensmittelechte Gefrierbeutel

verpackt werden, um so wenig Luft wie

möglich in der Verpackung zu haben;

• achten Sie beim Hineinlegen von fri-

schen, noch ungefrorenen Lebensmitteln

darauf, dass diese keinen Kontakt mit

Gefriergut bekommen, da dieses sonst

antauen kann;

• weniger fetthaltige Lebensmittel lassen

sich besser lagern als fetthaltigere; Salz

So erzielen Sie die besten Ergebnisse mit

Ihrem Gerät:

• Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die gefrore-

nen Lebensmittel vom Händler ange-

messen gelagert wurden.

• Achten Sie unbedingt darauf, die einge-

kauften gefrorenen Lebensmittel in der

kürzest möglichen Zeit in das Gefrierge-

rät zu bringen.

• Öffnen Sie die Tür nicht zu häufig, und

lassen Sie die Tür nicht länger offen als

notwendig.

• Aufgetaute Lebensmittel verderben sehr

schnell und eignen sich nicht für ein er-

neutes Einfrieren.

• Das Haltbarkeitsdatum auf der Tiefkühl-

kostverpackung darf nicht überschritten

werden.

REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE

VORSICHT!

Ziehen Sie bitte vor jeder Reini-

gungsarbeit immer den Netzste-

cker aus der Steckdose.

Der Kältekreis des Gerätes enthält

Kohlenwasserstoffe; Wartungsar-

beiten und Nachfüllen von Kältemit-

tel dürfen daher nur durch vom

Hersteller autorisiertes Fachperso-

nal ausgeführt werden.

REGELMÄSSIGE REINIGUNG

Der gesamte Kühlschrank muss regelmäßig

gereinigt werden:

• Reinigen Sie die Innenseiten und die Zu-

behörteile mit lauwarmem Wasser und

etwas Neutralseife.

• Prüfen und säubern Sie die Türdichtun-

gen in regelmäßigen Abständen und

kontrollieren Sie, dass diese sauber und

frei von Verunreinigungen sind.

• Spülen und trocknen Sie diese sorgfältig

ab.

Ziehen Sie nicht an Leitungen und/

oder Kabeln im Innern des Kühl-

schranks und achten Sie darauf,

diese nicht zu verschieben oder zu

beschädigen.

Benutzen Sie zur Reinigung des In-

nenraums keinesfalls Putzmittel,

Scheuerpulver, stark parfümierte

Reinigungsmittel oder Wachspolitu-

ren, da diese die Oberfläche des

Innenraums beschädigen und ei-

nen starken Eigengeruch hinterlas-

sen können.

Reinigen Sie den Kondensator (schwarzes

Gitter) und den Kompressor auf der Gerä-

terückseite mit einer Bürste. Dadurch ver-

bessert sich die Leistung des Geräts und

es verbraucht weniger Strom.

Bitte achten Sie darauf, das Kühl-

system nicht zu beschädigen.

Viele Haushaltsreiniger für Küchen enthal-

ten Chemikalien, die den im Gerät verwen-

deten Kunststoff angreifen können. Aus

diesem Grund ist es empfehlenswert, das

Gerät außen nur mit warmem Wasser und

etwas flüssigem Tellerspülmittel zu reinigen.

Schließen Sie das Gerät nach der Reini-

gung wieder an die Netzversorgung an.

ABTAUEN DES KÜHLSCHRANKS

Bei normalem Betrieb wird Reif bei jedem

Anhalten des Kompressors automatisch

aus dem Verdampfer des Kühlschranks

entfernt. Das Tauwasser läuft durch eine

Rinne in einen speziellen Behälter an der

Rückseite des Geräts über dem Motorkom-

pressor, wo es verdampft.

Reinigen Sie deshalb regelmäßig die Ab-

flussöffnung des Tauwassers in der Mitte

des Kühlschrankkanals, damit das Wasser

nicht überfließt und auf die gelagerten Le-

bensmittel tropft. Benutzen Sie dazu bitte

das mitgelieferte Reinigungswerkzeug, das

sich bereits in der Ablauföffnung befindet.

ABTAUEN DES

GEFRIERFACHES

Im Innern des Gefrierfachs wird

sich stets etwas Reif bilden.

Tauen Sie das Gefrierfach ab,

wenn die Reifschicht eine Stärke

von etwa 3 bis 5 mm erreicht hat.

Entfernen Sie den Reif wie nachstehend er-

läutert:

Schalten Sie das Gerät aus.

Nehmen Sie das gesamte Gefriergut

heraus, verpacken Sie es in mehrere

Schichten Zeitungspapier und lagern

Sie es an einem kühlen Ort.

Öffnen Sie die Tür.

Wenn das Gefrierfach vollständig ab-

getaut ist, wischen Sie das Fachinnere

sorgfältig trocken.

Schalten Sie das Gerät ein.

Drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf

eine höhere Einstellung, um die maxi-

mal mögliche Kühlung zu erreichen,

und lassen Sie das Gerät zwei bis drei

Stunden mit dieser Einstellung laufen.

Legen Sie die ausgelagerten Lebens-

mittel wieder in das Fach hinein.

WARNUNG!

Verwenden Sie niemals scharfe

Gegenstände zum Entfernen von

Reif und Eis vom Verdampfer, da

dieser dadurch beschädigt werden

könnte. Benutzen Sie keine me-

chanischen oder sonstigen Hilfs-

mittel, um den Abtauprozess zu

beschleunigen; halten Sie sich da-

zu ausschließlich an die Angaben

des Geräteherstellers. Ein Tempe-

raturanstieg des Gefrierguts wäh-

rend des Abtauens des Gerätes

kann die Lagerzeit dieser Lebens-

mittel verkürzen.

STILLSTANDZEITEN

Bei längerem Stillstand des Gerätes müs-

sen Sie folgendermaßen vorgehen:

•

trennen Sie das Gerät von der Netz-

versorgung

• entnehmen Sie alle Lebensmittel

• Tauen Sie das Gerät ab (sofern vorgese-

hen). Reinigen Sie den Innenraum und

das gesamte Zubehör.

• lassen Sie die Türen offen/angelehnt, um

das Entstehen unangenehmer Gerüche

zu vermeiden.

Möchten Sie bei einer längeren Abwesen-

heit den Gefrierschrank weiter laufen las-

sen, bitten Sie jemanden, gelegentlich die

Temperatur zu prüfen, damit das Gefriergut

bei einem möglichen Stromausfall nicht im

Innern des Gerätes verdirbt.

(siehe hierzu die Abbildung).

Ersetzen Sie die defekte Lampe durch

eine Lampe mit der gleichen Leistung,

die speziell für Haushaltsgeräte vorge-

sehen ist. (Die maximale Leistung ist

auf der Lampenabdeckung angege-

ben.)

Bringen Sie die Lampenabdeckung an.

Ziehen Sie die Schraube an der Lam-

penabdeckung fest.

Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die

Netzsteckdose.

Öffnen Sie die Tür. Prüfen Sie, ob die

Lampe brennt.

SCHLIESSEN DER TÜR

Reinigen Sie die Türdichtungen.

Stellen Sie die Tür nach Bedarf ein.

Wenn Sie ein altes Gerät entsorgen

möchten, das ein Schloss oder ei-

nen Riegel an der Tür besitzt, müs-

sen Sie das Schloss bzw. den Rie-

gel zunächst unbrauchbar machen,

um zu verhindern, dass sich spiel-

ende Kinder darin einschließen

können.

Die Steckdose für den Anschluss

des Geräts muss nach der Installa-

tion zugänglich sein.

Installieren Sie dieses Gerät an einem Ort,

an dem die Umgebungstemperatur mit der

Klimaklasse übereinstimmt, die auf dem

Typschild des Geräts angegeben ist:

bitte gemäß den geltenden Vorschriften er-

den und fragen Sie dafür einen qualifizier-

ten Elektriker.

bis die obere Spaltabdeckung am Küchen-

möbel anliegt.

Schieben Sie das Gerät auf der den Schar-

nieren gegenüberliegenden Seite in Pfeilrich-

tung (2) soweit wie möglich gegen die Sei-

tenwand des Küchenmöbels.

Richten Sie das Gerät in der Einbaunische

aus.

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Abstand

zwischen dem Gerät und der Schrankvor-

derkante 44 mm beträgt.

Mit der unteren Scharnierabdeckung (im

Beipack) können Sie sicherstellen, dass der

Abstand zwischen dem Gerät und dem Kü-

chenmöbel richtig ist.

Achten Sie darauf, dass der Abstand zwi-

schen dem Gerät und dem Schrank 4 mm

beträgt.

Öffnen Sie die Tür. Stecken Sie die untere

Scharnierabdeckung auf.

Befestigen Sie das Gerät mit 4 Schrauben in

der Einbaunische.

Entfernen Sie das entsprechende Teil aus

der Scharnierabdeckung (E). Achten Sie da-

rauf, im Falle eines auf der rechten Seite be-

findlichen Scharniers das Teil DX bzw. bei

einem auf der linken Seite befindlichen

Scharnier das Teil SX zu entfernen.

Setzen Sie die beiliegenden Abdeckkappen

(C, D) in die Befestigungs- und Scharnierlö-

cher ein.

Bauen Sie das Belüftungsgitter (B) ein.

Stecken Sie die Scharnierabdeckungen (E)

auf das Scharnier auf.

Trennen Sie die Teile (Ha), (Hb), (Hc) und

(Hd) ab.

Setzen Sie das Führungsstück (Hb) in die

Halten Sie die Gerätetür an die Tür des Kü-

chenmöbels, und markieren Sie die Bohrun-

gen.

Nehmen Sie das Führungsstück ab und

bohren Sie im Abstand von 8 mm vom äu-

ßeren Rand der Tür Löcher mit einem

Durchmesser von 2 mm.

Setzen Sie das Führungsstück erneut auf

die Führungsschiene und schrauben Sie es

mit den mitgelieferten Schrauben fest.

Richten Sie die Tür des Einbaumöbels und

die Gerätetür mit dem Führungsstück (Hb)

aus.

Führen Sie eine Endkontrolle durch, um si-

cherzustellen, dass:

• alle Schrauben fest angezogen sind.

• El circuito del refrigerante del aparato

contiene isobutano (R600a). Se trata de

un gas natural con un alto nivel de com-

patibilidad medioambiental, aunque es

inflamable.

Durante el transporte y la instalación del

aparato, cerciórese de no provocar da-

ños en el circuito de refrigeración.

Si el circuito de refrigeración se daña:

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA

INSTALACIÓN

Para realizar la conexión eléctrica,

• Desembale el aparato y compruebe que

no tiene daños. No conecte el aparato si

está dañado. Informe de los posibles da-

ños de inmediato a la tienda donde lo

adquirió. En ese caso, conserve el mate-

• Es recomendable esperar al menos dos

horas antes de conectar el aparato, para

REGULACIÓN DE LA

TEMPERATURA

La temperatura se regula automáticamen-

te.

Para utilizar el aparato, proceda de la ma-

nera siguiente:

• Gire el regulador de temperatura hacia

ajustes más bajos para obtener el frío

mínimo.

• Gire el regulador de temperatura hacia

ajustes más altos para obtener el frío

máximo.

Lo más conveniente es ajustar la

temperatura en una posición inter-

media.

Sin embargo, el ajuste exacto debe elegir-

se teniendo en cuenta que la temperatura

interior del aparato depende de:

• la temperatura ambiente

• la frecuencia con que se abre la puerta

• la cantidad de alimentos guardados

• la ubicación del aparato.

Si la temperatura ambiente es ele-

vada o el aparato está totalmente

lleno y se ha ajustado a las tempe-

raturas más bajas, puede mante-

nerse en marcha de manera conti-

nua provocando la formación de

escarcha en la pared posterior. En

tal caso, el mando debe colocarse

a temperatura más elevada para

permitir la descongelación automá-

tica y reducir así el consumo ener-

gético.

USO DIARIO

LIMPIEZA DEL INTERIOR

Antes de utilizar el aparato por primera vez,

lave el interior y los accesorios internos con

agua templada y un jabón neutro para eli-

minar el típico olor de los productos nue-

vos. A continuación seque bien.

No utilice detergentes ni polvos

abrasivos, ya que podrían dañar el

acabado.

CONGELACIÓN DE ALIMENTOS

FRESCOS

El compartimento del congelador es apto

para congelar alimentos frescos y conser-

var alimentos congelados y ultracongela-

dos a largo plazo.

Para congelar alimentos frescos no es ne-

cesario cambiar el ajuste intermedio.

Sin embargo, para lograr una congelación

más rápida, gire el regulador de temperatu-

ra a un ajuste más alto para obtener el frío

máximo.

En esa situación, la temperatura

del compartimento frigorífico puede

descender por debajo de 0°C. En

ese caso, sitúe el regulador de

temperatura en un ajuste menos

frío.

La cantidad máxima de alimentos que pue-

de congelarse en 24 horas se indica en la

placa de características, una etiqueta si-

tuada en el interior del aparato.

El proceso de congelación dura 24 horas:

durante ese tiempo no deben añadirse

otros alimentos para congelar.

ALMACENAMIENTO DE

ALIMENTOS CONGELADOS

Al poner en marcha el aparato por primera

vez o después de un periodo sin uso, déje-

lo en marcha al menos durante 2 horas

con un ajuste alto antes de colocar los pro-

ductos en el compartimento.

En caso de producirse una des-

congelación accidental, por ejem-

plo, por un corte del suministro

eléctrico, si la interrupción ha sido

más prolongada que el valor indi-

cado en la tabla de características

técnicas bajo "tiempo de eleva-

ción", los alimentos descongelados

deben consumirse cuanto antes o

cocinarlos de inmediato y volverlos

a congelar (después de que se ha-

yan enfriado).

DESCONGELACIÓN

Los alimentos ultracongelados o congela-

dos, antes de utilizarlos, se pueden des-

congelar en el compartimento frigorífico o a

temperatura ambiente, dependiendo del

tiempo de que se disponga.

Es posible incluso cocinar piezas pequeñas

congeladas, tomadas directamente del

congelador; en tal caso, el tiempo de coc-

ción será más prolongado.

INDICADOR DE TEMPERATURA

Este aparato está autorizado para su venta

en Francia.

En conformidad con la normativa válida en

dicho país, deberá ir provisto de un dispo-

sitivo especial (consulte la figura) situado en

el compartimiento inferior del frigorífico pa-

ra indicar la zona más fría del mismo.

ESTANTES MÓVILES

Las paredes del frigorífico cuentan con una

serie de guías para colocar los estantes del

modo que se prefiera.

Para aprovechar mejor el espacio, los es-

tantes frontales más pequeños pueden co-

locarse encima de los traseros.

COLOCACIÓN DE LOS ESTANTES DE LA PUERTA

Para poder guardar alimentos de distintos

tamaños, los estantes de la puerta se pue-

den colocar a diferentes alturas.

Para realizar esos ajustes proceda como

se indica a continuación: mueva paulatina-

mente el estante en la dirección de las fle-

chas hasta retirarlo del soporte y colóquelo

en la posición que desee.

FUNCIÓN FREESTORE

La función FREESTORE permite enfriar los

alimentos con rapidez y mantener una tem-

peratura más uniforme dentro del compar-

timento.

Pulse el interruptor (1) para encender el

FREESTORE . Se enciende la luz verde (2).

Este dispositivo permite enfriar los alimen-

tos con más rapidez y mantener una tem-

peratura más uniforme dentro del compar-

timento.

Active la función FREESTORE cuando la

temperatura ambiente supere los 25 °C.

ENERGÍA

• No abra la puerta con frecuencia ni la

deje abierta más tiempo del estrictamen-

te necesario.

• Si la temperatura ambiente es elevada, la

temperatura del aparato se ha ajustado

en los valores más altos y está totalmen-

te lleno, el compresor podría funcionar

de manera continua, provocando la for-

mación de escarcha o hielo en el evapo-

Carne (de todo tipo): guárdela en bolsas de

plástico y colóquela en el estante de vidrio,

sobre el cajón de las verduras.

Por razones de seguridad, guárdela de ese

modo durante uno o dos días, como máxi-

Alimentos cocinados, platos fríos, etc..: los

debe cubrir y puede colocarlos en cual-

quiera de los estantes.

Frutas y verduras: se deben limpiar a con-

ciencia y colocar en los cajones especiales

suministrados a tal efecto.

Mantequilla y queso: colóquelos en reci-

pientes herméticos especiales o envueltos

en papel de aluminio o en bolsas de plásti-

co, para excluir tanto aire como sea posi-

ble.

Botellas de leche: deben tener tapa y se

colocarán en el estante para botellas de la

puerta.

Los plátanos, las patatas, las cebollas y los

ajos, si no están empaquetados, no deben

guardarse en el frigorífico.

CONSEJOS SOBRE LA

CONGELACIÓN

Estos consejos son importantes para po-

der aprovechar al máximo el proceso de

congelación:

• la cantidad máxima de alimentos que

puede congelarse en 24 horas se mues-

tra en la placa de datos técnicos;

• el proceso de congelación requiere 24

horas. Durante ese periodo no deben

añadirse otros alimentos para congela-

ción;

• congele sólo productos alimenticios de

máxima calidad, frescos y perfectamente

limpios;

• prepare los alimentos en porciones pe-

queñas para que se congelen de manera

rápida y total, así como para poder des-

congelar posteriormente sólo las canti-

dades necesarias;

• envuelva los alimentos en papel de alu-

minio o polietileno y compruebe que los

envoltorios quedan herméticamente ce-

rrados;

• no permita que alimentos frescos y sin

congelar entren en contacto con alimen-

tos ya congelados, para evitar el aumen-

to de temperatura de los segundos;

• los alimentos magros se congelan mejor

que los grasos; la sal reduce el tiempo

de almacenamiento de los alimentos;

• el hielo, si se consume inmediatamente

después de retirarlo del compartimento

congelador, puede provocar quemadu-

ras por congelación en la piel;

• es recomendable etiquetar cada paque-

te con la fecha de congelación para con-

trolar el tiempo que permanecen alma-

cenados.

MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA

PRECAUCIÓN

Antes de realizar tareas de mante-

nimiento, desenchufe el aparato.

Este equipo contiene hidrocarbu-

ros en la unidad de refrigeración;

por tanto, el mantenimiento y la re-

carga deben estar a cargo exclusi-

vamente de técnicos autorizados.

LIMPIEZA PERIÓDICA

El equipo debe limpiarse de manera habi-

tual:

• Limpie el interior y los accesorios con

agua templada y un jabón neutro.

• Revise y limpie periódicamente las juntas

de la puerta para mantenerlas limpias y

sin restos.

• Aclare y seque a fondo.

No mueva, dañe ni tire de los con-

ductos o cables del interior del ar-

mario.

No utilice detergentes, polvos

abrasivos, productos de limpieza

perfumados ni cera para limpiar el

interior, ya que dañarán la superfi-

cie y dejarán un fuerte olor.

Limpie el condensador (rejilla negra) y el

compresor de la parte posterior del aparato

con un cepillo. Esa operación mejorará el

rendimiento del aparato y reducirá el con-

sumo eléctrico.

Tenga cuidado para no dañar el

sistema de refrigeración.

Muchas marcas de limpiadores de superfi-

cies de cocina contienen químicos que

pueden atacar o dañar los plásticos del

aparato. Por tal razón, se recomienda que

el exterior del aparato se limpie sólo con

agua templada a la que se añadirá un poco

de líquido lavavajillas.

Después de la limpieza, vuelva a conectar

el aparato a la toma de red.

DESCONGELACIÓN DEL FRIGORÍFICO

La escarcha se elimina automáticamente

del evaporador del frigorífico cada vez que

se detiene el compresor, durante el funcio-

namiento normal. El agua de la desconge-

lación se descarga por un canal hacia un

recipiente especial situado en la parte pos-

terior del aparato, sobre el motor compre-

sor, desde donde se evapora.

Limpie periódicamente el orificio de salida

del agua de descongelación situado en la

mitad del canal del compartimento frigorífi-

co para evitar que el agua se desborde y

caiga sobre los alimentos del interior Utilice

el limpiador especial suministrado, que ha-

llará ya colocado en el orificio de desagüe.

DESCONGELACIÓN DEL

CONGELADOR

Junto al compartimento superior

suele formarse siempre cierta can-

tidad de escarcha

Descongele el congelador sólo

cuando la capa de escarcha alcan-

ce un grosor de unos 3 a 5 mm.

Para eliminar la escarcha, siga estos pa-

sos:

Apague el aparato.

Retire los alimentos congelados, en-

vuélvalos en varias hojas de papel pe-

riódico y colóquelos en un sitio fresco.

Abra la puerta.

Cuando la descongelación haya termi-

nado, seque a fondo el interior del

aparato.

Encienda el aparato.

Ajuste el regulador de temperatura pa-

ra obtener el máximo frío y haga fun-

cionar el aparato durante dos o tres

horas con dicho ajuste.

Vuelva a introducir los alimentos que

retiró previamente.

ADVERTENCIA

No utilice herramientas metálicas

afiladas para raspar la escarcha del

evaporador, ya que podría dañarlo.

No utilice dispositivos mecánicos ni

medios artificiales para acelerar el

proceso de descongelación, ex-

cepto los recomendados por el fa-

bricante. El aumento de la tempe-

ratura de los paquetes de alimen-

tos congelados durante la descon-

gelación puede acortar su tiempo

de almacenamiento.

Si el aparato no se utiliza durante un tiem-

po prolongado, tome las siguientes pre-

cauciones:

desconecte el aparato de la red

eléctrica;

• extraiga todos los alimentos;

• descongele (si así está previsto) y limpie

Monte el cuadrado de fijación en el aparato.

Instale el aparato en el hueco.

Empuje el aparato en el sentido de la flecha

(1) hasta que la cubierta de la separación

superior haga tope contra el mueble de co-

cina.

Empuje el aparato en el sentido de la flecha

(2) contra el mueble en el lado opuesto de la

bisagra.

Ajuste el aparato en el hueco.

Asegúrese de que haya una distancia de 44

mm entre el aparato y el borde delantero del

mueble.

La tapa de la bisagra inferior (incluida en la

bolsa de accesorios) garantiza que la sepa-

ración entre el aparato y el mueble de coci-

na sea la adecuada.

Asegúrese de que quede un espacio de 4

mm entre el aparato y el mueble.

Abra la puerta. Coloque la tapa de la bisa-

gra inferior en su lugar.

Fije el aparato al hueco con cuatro tornillos.

Retire la parte correcta de la tapa de la bisa-

gra (E). No olvide extraer la pieza DX, en el

caso de la bisagra derecha, y la pieza SX en

el caso contrario.

Fije las tapas (C, D) a las lengüetas y a los

orificios de la bisagra.

Instale la rejilla de ventilación (B).

Fije las tapas (E) a la bisagra.

Desconecte las piezas (Ha), (Hb), (Hc) y

(Hd).

Instale la pieza (Ha) en el lado interno del

mueble de cocina.

Empuje la pieza (Hc) contra la pieza (Ha).

Abra la puerta del aparato y la puerta del

mueble de cocina en un ángulo de 90°.

Introduzca el cuadrado pequeño (Hb) en la

guía (Ha).

Coloque juntas la puerta del aparato y la

puerta del mueble de cocina y marque los

orificios.

Quite los cuadrados pequeños y taladre ori-

ficios con un diámetro (ø) de 2 mm a 8 mm

de distancia del borde externo de la puerta.

Vuelva a colocar el cuadrado pequeño en la

guía y fíjelo con los tornillos suministrados.

Alinee las puertas del mueble de cocina y

del aparato mediante el ajuste de la pieza

(Hb).

Presione la pieza (Hd) contra la pieza (Hb).

Finalmente, compruebe que:

• Todos los tornillos están apretados.

• La cinta selladora se ha fijado con firme-

za al armario.

• La puerta abre y cierra correctamente.
