LAMINATOR
The QuikFinish laminator has HOT and COLD laminating and
FOIL functions. The PL100 is designed for documents up to 9.5
inches wide. The PL150 laminator is designed for larger
documents up to 14.5 inches wide. This unit also includes a 1.5
hour AUTO-SHUTOFF function.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Your safety as well as the safety of others is important to Banner
American Products, Inc. In this manual, as well as on the product,
are important safety instructions. PLEASE READ ALL SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING.
CAUTIONS
Before using your laminator, be sure to observe the
following precautions:
1. Do not touch or place anything on hot
surfaces. Wait for unit to cool before
moving or cleaning.
2. To prevent electric shock do not
immerse in or operate near water or
other liquids.
3. The use of other attachments is not
recommended by the manufacturer in
conjunction with the product. Use of other
attachments may cause injury.
4. This product is not intended for any
other use other than lamination.
5. For best results it is recommended
that only Banner American Products
laminating pouches be used.
6. Always unplug the unit when not in use
to prevent accidents. The electrical outlet
should be installed near the equipment
and should be easily accessible.
7. Do not operate with a damaged power
supply cord.
8. Keep loose clothing, fingers, hair, jewelry
and other foreign objects away from
laminating slot.
Do not immerse in water. If the supply cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or
a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT:
1. Temperature adjustment is only available in the HOT
lamination mode. It is not avaialbe in COLD or FOIL mode.
2. Once, the green laminate LED illuminate in the HOT
lamination mode, it will not distinguish even if adjust the
temperature adjustment to a different temperature setting
unless you switch to the OFF position.
3. To change the laminating temperature, adjust the
temperature knob to desired temperature. Once you have
selected desired temperature, please wit for 2-3 minutes
before laminating.
4. Not all pouches can be used at the same temperature for
different thickness pouches. Please note that these settings
are SUGGESTIONS ONLY. You may need to test your
pouches under different temperatues to reach satisfactory
results.

OPERATING PROCEDURES
Be sure that the machine is placed on a flat surface. Plug the
power cord into a grounded AC outlet. To use your laminator
follow these directions:
To Cold laminate:
1. Push the switch to COLD position. The RED LIGHT will
illuminate, and the unit is ready to cold laminate.
2. Prepare the item to COLD laminate according to
instructions for cold laminate pouch.
3. Feed document to be COLD laminated into front of the
unit. It will be pulled into the laminator. Banner American
suggests using the pouch carrier.
To Hot Laminate:
1. Push the switch to Laminate (HOT) position. After
approximately 5 minutes, the unit will be warmed up and
the GREEN READY light will illuminate. You may now
begin to laminate your documents. Note: If you switch
from FOIL to HOT (LAMINATE) position, make sure to wait
at least 15 minutes before laminating.
2. Open up a laminating pouch. Insert the desired document
into the pouch, then place the pouch inside the pouch
carrier securely against the fold.
3. Insert the pouch carrier as shown into the laminator unit
until the laminator starts to feed automatically.
4. Remove the pouch carrier from the laminator after it has
finished laminating. Leave the laminating pouch inside the
carrier for several seconds to cool before removing.
To Hot Foil Laminate:
1. Push the switch to FOIL position. After approximately 5
minutes, the GREEN READY light will illuminate, and the
unit is ready to perform hot foil lamination.
2. Lay the foil paper on the desired document accordingly.
Place the items securely inside the pouch carrier.
3. Insert the pouch carrier as shown into the laminator until
the laminator starts to feed automatically.
4. Remove the pouch carrier from the laminator after it has
finished laminating. Remove the foil from the document
accordingly.
To Turn Off the Laminator:
Push the switch to OFF position when you are finished
laminating.
AUTO-SHUTOFF TIME:
This unit will automatically shut-off after approximately 1.5
hours. to re-start the laminator, slide the switch to OFF
position for at least 5 seconds, then slide the switch to COLD,
LAMINATE or FOIL positon. the unit will start to work again.
CARE AND CLEANING
Always unplug the laminator from electrical outlet before
cleaning. Clean the outside of the laminator with a damp
cloth only. Do not use solvents such as alcohol, benzene or
thinner.

El laminador tiene las funciones CALIENTE (HOT) y
FRIO (COLD) y Hojuela (FOIL). El PL100 se diseña
para documentos hasta 9.5 pulgadas de ancho. El
PL150 es diseñado para documentos más grandes
de hasta 14.5 pulgadas de ancho. Esta unidad
contiene un interruptor automatico que apaga la
maquina despues de una hora y media sin uso.

instrucciones importantes de seguridad. POR FAVOR
LEA TODAS LAS INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
ATENTAMENTE ANTES DE OPERAR.
PRECAUCIONES
Antes de usar su laminador, tenga cuidado de observar las
precauciones siguientes:
1. No toque ni coloque nada en las superficies
calientes. Espere que la unidad se enfrié
antes de mover o limpiar.
2. Para prevenir un choque eléctrico, no
sumerja en ni opere cerca de agua ni otros
líquidos.
3. El uso de otros accesorios en unión con el
producto no es recomendado por el
fabricante. El uso de otros accesorios
puede causar herida.
4. El uso de este producto es sólo para la
laminación.
5. Para los mejores resultados se recomienda
que sólo las bolsas de laminar de Banner
American sean usadas.
6. Siempre quite la unidad de la enchufe
cuando no esté en uso para prevenir
accidentes. La enchufe eléctrica se debe
instalar cerca del equipo y debe ser
fácilmente accesible.
7. No opere con una flexible eléctrica dañada.
8. Mantenga la ropa floja, los dedos,
el cabello, las joyas y otros objetos
extranjeros lejos de la ranura de laminar.
PROCEDIMIENTOS OPERADORES
Esté seguro que la máquina se coloca en una superficie
plana. Enchufe la flexible eléctrica en una enchufe con
tierra de A.C. Para laminar en frió, sigue estos pasos:
Para Laminar en Frio
1. Empuje el interruptor a la posición FRIO (COLD). La LUZ
ROJA se iluminará y la unidad está lista para laminar en
frió.
2. Prepare el artículo para laminar en FRIO, según las
instrucciones.
3. Pase el documento que desea laminar en FRIO por la
frente de la unidad. Será halada en el laminador. Banner
sugiere usar el portador de la bolsa.
Para Laminar a Caliente
1. Empuje el interruptor a la posición CALIENTE (HOT)
(LAMINA). Después de aproximadamente 5 minutos, la
unidad estará caliente y la luz VERDE LISTA se iluminará.
Usted ahora puede comenzar a laminar sus documentos.
Nota: Si usted cambia de HOJUELA (FOIL) a la posición
CALIENTE (HOT) (LAMINA), asegúrese que espere por
lo menos 15 minutos antes de laminar.
2. Abra una bolsa de lamina. Meta el documento deseado
en la bolsa. Entonces coloque la bolsa dentro del portador
de la bolsa seguramente contra el doblez.
3. Meta el portador de la bolsa como mostrado en la unidad
de laminador hasta que el laminador empiece
a recibirlo automáticamente.
4. Quite el portador de la bolsa del laminador después que
ha acabado de laminar. Mantenga la bolsa que lamina
dentro del portador por varios segundos para que se
enfríe antes quitar.
Para Laminar a Caliente Hojuela
1. Empuje el interruptor a la posición HOJUELA (FOIL).
Después de aproximadamente 5 minutos, la luz VERDE
LISTA se iluminará y la unidad está lista para llevar a
acabo la función laminación caliente hojuela (foil)
2. Coloque el papel de la hojuela en el documento deseado
así. Coloque los artículo seguramente dentro del portador
de bolsa.
3. Meta el portador de la bolsa como mostrado en el laminador
hasta que el laminador empiece a recibirlo automática-
mente.
4. Quite el portador de la bolsa del laminador después de que
haya acabado de laminar. Quite la hojuela del documento
así.
Para Apagar El Laminador
Empuje el interruptor a la posición CERRADO (OFF) cuando
usted termine de laminar.

MADO DE AJUSTAR LA TEMPERATURA:
1. Temperatura puede ser ajustada bajo la funcion de
laminar caliente solamente. No esta disponible bajo la
funcion de laminar frio y hojuela.
2. Ya que la luz verde de laminar ensienda bajo la funcion
caliente. No se apagara si la temperatura se ajusta.
Solamente cuando la maquina se apague.
3. Para ajustar la temperatura de laminar, gire el boton a
la temperatura deseada. Espere 2 a 3 minutos antes de
laminar.
4. No todas las bolsas de laminar de diferente densidad
padran ser laminadas bajo la misma temperatura. Note que
estas temperaturas de laminar son sujerencias solamente.
Usted tendra que probar su bolsa de laminar bajo diferente
temperaturas para abtener los resultados deseados.
