GENERAL INFORMATION
Thank you for purchasing a quality Bonaire Evaporative Cooler. We care about your safety and would ask
you to spend a few minutes reading these simple instructions before installing or operating this product.
Safety!
Read carefully all of these instructions prior to installing and
operating the unit.
Read and Save these Instructions. Do not throw these Instructions away.
Complete the unit assembly before attempting to install, refer to page 10.
Installation of this cooler in any manner not prescribed by these instructions could cause a safety
issue and WILL void any warranty.
Use only with a 110V 60Hz single phase grounded outlet.
Do not operate cooler with Rear Filter Panel removed.
Do not operate cooler with a damaged cord, plug or other component.
Do not run the power cord under carpet or other floor covering.
Do not use the power cord with an adaptor plug that converts the 3 pin plug into a 2 prong
connector.
Do not use the cooler with an improperly grounded outlet.
Do not alter or modify this cooler.
Do not allow children to install, operate or service this cooler.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this product with any solid state
speed control device.
Use only qualified electricians for replacement or servicing of switches, or electrical motors and
components in this cooler.
Unplug the cooler and position the rotary control knob to the OFF position when installing, servicing or
cleaning.
This Window Mounted Cooler is suitable for installation in windows (either Sash hung or sliding) with a
minimum opening width of 560mm (22”) and Height of 560mm (22”), please ensure that the directions
for correct mounting are adhered to for the SAFE operation of this Cooler.

General
Introduction
Your evaporative air conditioner is engineered to meet the rigors of harsh environments. Used and
maintained in accordance with this manual, it will provide you with years of quiet, cool and
environmentally friendly operation. Please take the time to read this manual.
The principal of your unit is to introduce fresh air, which is washed through the filter pads to provide cool
fresh air. The warm stale air within the room is forced out by the cool air through open doors or windows.

Unit Operation
It is essential for successful operation of the evaporative cooler that there be sufficient free air openings in
the room to be cooled – approximately 0.5m² (5.4² feet). Open doors and windows will usually provide this
as per the diagrams below.
Please Note: - It is important for good ventilation that doors or windows are not open on the windward
side of the house. Please note the room furthest away from the cooler needs to have more ventilation
than rooms closest to the cooler.
Bleed Off
The bleed off rate is factory preset and is not adjustable without direction of the
manufacturer. It is critical to the life of the product that the bleed off function is not
restricted in any way as this may void unit warranty and will cause damage to your
filters and cooler.
To prevent a Bleed Line Siphon, do not let the Bleed Line extend from the Overflow
Pipe more than 2”.
The function of the bleed off must be inspected by the owner on a regular basis to
ensure the bleed off continuously flows when the unit is operating “COOL” mode.
All evaporative coolers require water bleed-off to prevent build-
up of mineral deposits as the result of the evaporative cooling
process. This will maximize the life of the premium Filtercool
filter pads and minimize mineral deposits inside the cooler. The
bleed off function only operates in COOL mode (when the water
pump operates).
Should water supply contain high levels of total dissolved solids
(greater than 300 p.p.m.), increase the bleed rate. See page 19.
This bleed water can be used in gardens or diverted to drains
using standard garden hose and fittings from your local
hardware store. The overflow pipe connection is a ¾” x 14TPI
ANS straight pipe thread.
Please Note: - Any additional pipe work fitted to the bleed off by the owner must slope away from the unit
in a downhill manner.
If water discharge is not an option because of installation location or cost of water, you may coil the bleed
hose inside the cooler opposite the Float Valve so the water recirculates back into the tank. Please be
aware that this will result in the Filtercool Pads needing to be changed more frequently.

Cooler Operation
Before Starting
Always ensure that there is another open window or door through which the air can exhaust to
other parts of the house. Refer page 5 for correct operation and ventilation.
Ensure that the filters are kept clean.
Ensure that the water to the cooler is turned on.
Ensure the plug is connected to a110V 60Hz single phase grounded appliance socket on the
inside of the house and turned on.
IMPORTANT. After the first 10 hours of operation in COOL mode, the water must be drained
from the unit water tank to remove any new product residuals. This process must be repeated
after a further 10 hours of COOL mode operation. (See page 18 for removing the over flow pipe.)
To clean the tank you must remove the Overflow Assembly Pipe. Unscrew the Overflow Nut
located underneath the cooler; remove the Overflow fitting by pulling the fitting up until it
completely removed from the tank.
Operating the unit
The Durango cooler can be operated in Manual or Auto (Remote) mode. This is selectable by the toggle
switch on the front panel. Each mode has COOL and FAN functions are available.
Manual Mode:
COOL Mode: - Move control knob to “COOL” side.
Select desired fan speed
1 – Low/Sleep Mode
2 - Normal Operation
Max - Quick Cool down
The unit will now operate with the fan motor and
water pump activated.
FAN Mode: - Move the control knob to the “FAN” side
(pump isolated). Select desired fan speed

The unit will now operate with the fan motor only activated.
To turn the unit off, rotate the control knob to the “O” position

Auto (Remote) Mode: To activate the Auto mode turn on the switch as shown.
COOL Mode: -
1. Press the POWER button and the unit will start.
2. Now press the Cool button and the blue LED will
be illuminated.
3. Press the fan speed button, Low, Mid or Hi,
according to your comfort.
The unit will now operate with the fan motor and water
pump.
FAN Mode: - Fan mode can be activated by pressing
the Cool button on and off. The blue LED will go out
when cooling is off.
1. Press the POWER button and the unit will start.
2. Press the fan speed button, Low, Mid or Hi,
according to your comfort. (Note: Do not press the
Cool or Pump button)
The unit will now operate with the fan motor only
activated.
To turn the unit off, press the POWER button.

Remote control operation
1. POWER (Start and stop operation)
2. FAN – LOW (starts low fan speed but there will be no pump operation until button 5 is
pressed)
3. FAN – MEDIUM (starts medium fan speed but there will be no pump operation until button
5 is pressed)
4. FAN – HIGH (starts high fan speed but there will be no pump operation until button 5 is
pressed)
5. Cool (turns pump and fan continues to operate on previously selected speed)
6. 4 HOURS CYCLE (Purge pump will run for 3 minutes every 4 hours) **Only applicable if
optional Purge pump is fitted
7. 8 HOURS CYCLE (Purge pump will run for 3 minutes every 8 hours) **Only applicable if
optional Purge pump is fitted
8. 12 HOURS CYCLE (Purge pump will run for 3 minutes every 12 hours) **Only applicable
if optional Purge pump is fitted
9. PUMP ONLY (turns pump on at first button press & turns pump off at second button
press. NOTE: there will not be any fan operation with this function, pump only)
NOTE:
For pump only operation the button is selected, the operation will be as follows:
1. The pump only button can only be activated only when the power is on.
2. If the cooler is running pressing will turn off fan and turn on main pump (If the main pump is on
before pressed, it will only turn off fan).

3. Press to turn off the main pump. If the pump only function is required again press
and then to turn on the main pump.
4. If cooling is required when the main pump is running on, press Cool ，and this will start the fan
while the main pump continues to run.

following buttons / / .

Unpacking The Unit
Warning
When you receive your unit the fan assembly
and the over flow fitting will be partially located
inside the wet section of the product.
Fan Assembly
Before installing the product in the window the
telescopic section of the unit MUST be fixed in place.
Step 1 Pull the fan assembly out of the unit by
approximately 6” (150mm) until it hits the wet
box wall.
Step 2 Fix the fan assembly into place using the 12
“Hi-Lo thread” hex screws supplied. Ensure the
screws are done up tight so there is no vibration
between the fan housing and the wet box.
Overflow Fitting
Step 3 Remove the tape covering the bottom of the
water over flow fitting assembly.
Step 4 Tighten the nut on the bottom of the overflow
fitting assembly to ensure there is no leakage
from the unit. Do not over tighten as it is
possible to strip the thread.
The unit is now ready for installing into your window.

Unit Window Installation
DO NOT connect the power to the cooler until the installation is complete.
Internal Fixing of the Unit
IT IS MANDATORY THAT THE METAL FIXING BRACKETS SUPPLIED ARE FITTED TO
ENSURE A SECURE INSTALLATION. Utilize the 2 fixing brackets and 8 screws provided (4 x
Screw – 16mm Hi-Lo hex head and 4 x Screw – No. 8 x 1¼ pozi-drive) as shown in the diagram
to ensure the unit is adequately locked into position.
Ensure that the bracket is aligned within the indicated mounting track area on the underside of
the fan housing – see diagram below. Drill 2x1/8” (3.2mm) holes and insert screws into unit as
per diagram and repeat for window frame with appropriate screws.
Ensure that the cooler is now fixed rigidly to the house structure
Close the window against the unit. Measure the gap of
the leftover window opening & then cut and fit an in-fill
panel to seal this gap (materials not provided). Seal any
gaps with silicone.
Check that the unit is still level using spirit level on top
edge of Rear Filter Panel.

External Fixing of the Unit
Ensure that the location chosen to mount the cooler is strong enough to support the operating
weight of the unit. The unit’s nominal operating weight is 93 lbs (42 kg).
Ensure that the window opening is large enough for the neck of the cooler. Nominally 22”
(560mm) high by 22” (560mm) wide.
Ensure there is a minimum 4” (100mm) clearance above the external cabinet for maintenance
purposes.
Position the cooler through the window (two or more people will be required for this) so that the
unit is hard up against the outside wall of the house.
Ensure that the unit is installed level in the vertical and horizontal positions as illustrated, prior to
fixing the cooler.

(not provided) which must be
attached to the wall (the unit is
then fixed to this wood).

Use the two ‘Wall Anchors’ provided to fix the cooler to the outside of the house if a ‘stucco-type’
wall is being used. (Note that if the unit is not hard up against the wall, these fixing screws will go
into the spacer block (2’ x 4’) already installed).
For solid walls, brick or masonry, use suitable masonry lag anchors.
Place the unit in position, mark screw positions, remove unit then drill pilot holes for timber walls
(1/8” or 3.2mm).
Replace unit in window, fit screws with Washers – 3/16 x 7/16 x 20g flat
Unit Wall Installation
DO NOT connect the power to the cooler until the installation is complete.
Contact a licensed contractor to have the cooler installed in an outside wall.

Water Connection
Install a sillcock and water valve (not supplied) to the faucet
closest to the cooler and attach water supply line between
cooler and water valve.
The overflow is factory fitted. The bleed hose protruding through
the overflow fitting SHOULD bleed water during normal
operation at a rate between 1.5 – 3 gallons per hour (6 – 12
Litres per hour). This is normal and is designed to preserve the
quality of the Cooler and Cooling efficiency of the Unit. If
required this Bleed water can be plumbed away using standard
'over-the-counter' garden hose and fittings.
The float valve is factory set and should require no further
adjustment at time of installation (see page 18 if adjustment is
required).
Your cooler is now ready for startup checklist (see below).

Before Startup
Check that another door or window in the room is open to allow air to exhaust to other parts of the
house.
Turn the water supply to the cooler on.
Plug the cooler into a 110V 60Hz single phase grounded appliance socket on the inside of the
house and switch the socket on.
Turn the unit on to FAN mode and check the operation of the three speeds fan.
Rotate the control knob to COOL mode and operate the three speed fan and pump.
Leaving the unit in the COOL mode, check that a constant small stream of bleed off water is
coming from the overflow tube. This bleed off is designed to reduce mineral build up on the
Filtercool filter pads.
You may notice a wet paper smell as the water circulates around the filter pads. This is normal
during the commissioning phase and at the beginning of each season when the unit is operated
after the winter break. It will only last for a short time.
Purge pump Installation
A purge pump can be fitted to this cooler. Using a purge pump will periodically replace “Hard”
water that develops in the cooler with clean, fresh water. This will assist in reducing mineral build
up on the cooling pad which will result in longer cooling pad life and less cooler maintenance.
See following information on installation of a purge pump.
• Disconnect electrical power to the cooler before installing the purge
pump.

Purge Pump Installation
1. Disconnect electrical power to the cooler.
2. Remove the Rear filter panel (see
Maintenance section for detail).
3. Remove & retain the 2 pump receptacle
cover screws and remove the cover.
4. Locate the purge pump plug and gently pull
the plug out until the plug is accessible.
5. Position the purge pump in the base of the
cooler.
6. Route the purge pump cable and plug the
purge pump into the available electrical plug.
Ensure there is a “drip loop” in the purge
pump cable (see image below).
7. Push the plug back in to the opening
and replace the pump receptacle cover
and refit the screws.
8. Route the purge pump hose to the
overflow pipe. (Remove the bleed hose
from the overflow pipe)
9. Refit the Rear filter panel.

Maintenance
Before commencing any maintenance work on your unit, ensure it is
disconnected from the power supply.
Note: It is essential that your evaporative air conditioner is maintained in accordance with this manual.
Failure to do so will affect the life of the product and reduce the level of efficiency.
THIS MANUAL CONTAINS A 5 YEAR MAINTENANCE PLANNER TO USE IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THESE INSTRUCTIONS. See page 20.
Step 1
Remove Rear Filter Panel

vertical fashion 3” or 75mm.

Pull rear filter panel away
from unit.
Step 4 (Optional)
The pump hose will be attached to Rear Filter Panel. Should the hose come off during removal of Rear
Filter Panel or be removed for servicing the filters, care should be taken to re-attach the hose and snap
lock clamp before replacing Rear Filter Panel.
IMPORTANT: The rotation of the snap lock clamp must be correct (see diagram above) to refit the Rear
Filter Panel assembly.

General
Filter Pads
Visually check Filtercool pad for damage or blockage. Gently hose down pad from both sides to remove
any build up of salts, dust and pollen. In dusty areas more regular cleaning is recommended. Check the
water distributor, making sure it is clear and free from blockage. Failure to do so may lead to uneven
water distribution and therefore less efficient operation.
Water Tank
It is important to keep the water tank clean and free from sediment and algae growth. Using a small soft
bristle brush, brush all surfaces in the tank while it is full of water (DO NOT FORGET THE PUMP
STRAINER). Turn off the water inlet to the unit (an isolation valve should be fitted to the water inlet before
the float valve or at the water supply faucet). Drain the tank by undoing the external overflow fitting lock
nut and removing the overflow fitting. After refilling, it may be necessary to repeat this procedure if the
tank is very dirty.
Water Distributor
Check the water distribution system for blockage. Check the delivery tube for kinks or holes.
Note: Water supply line to float valve must be flushed before connecting.
Water Level / Float Valve
The water level should be set at nominal ¾” (19mm) below height of stand pipe lip. The float valve is a
mechanical type and is factory set. If it requires adjustment keep bends tight. If the valve is leaking, it may
require replacement.
Note: Water supply line to float valve must be flushed before connecting.
Note: Some discharge from the overflow may be experienced after shut down due to water
draining back from the Filtercool filter pad. This is normal.
Motor and Fan
Check that the fan spins freely and that there is no build up on the blades. Check the motor for corrosion
and spray with an anti-corrosive agent if necessary.

Bleed Off
The bleed off should be checked to ensure it runs continuously and that there is no buildup of mineral
deposits in or on your air conditioner. White deposits indicate high mineral content and the bleed off
system should be checked. Should the bleed nozzle become blocked, use a fine pin or similar to clear.
If the bleed is running as per normal, the bleed nozzle is clean and the deposits are still forming, then
more bleed may be required.
In areas of poor water quality (where total dissolved
solids are greater than 300 p.p.m.) increase the diameter
of the bleed nipple using a 1/16” (1.6mm) drill bit.
Pump Operation
Check the pump spins freely and that the strainer is
clean. Ensure the water slinger washer is in place on the
stainless steel shaft under the motor above the water
line.
After a long idle period, the pump may stop rotating due
to a mineral build up on the stainless shaft adjacent to
the motor. To free the pump shaft, remove mineral build
up and rotate the shaft using fingers or suitable sized
pliers. See diagram.
Spraying the area with suitable water displacement
lubricate (such as WD-40®) may assist.

Statement on Product Warranty (U.S.A.)
1. Warranty
Subject to the Conditions and Exclusions, Climate Technologies Pty Ltd provides the original
purchaser with the following warranty:
Climate Technologies Pty Ltd warrants this appliance for a (2) two year period (parts only)
from the date of purchase. During this period, a defective appliance or defective parts will
be repaired or replaced free of charge at the election of Climate Technologies Pty Ltd.
In addition Lifetime cabinet corrosion parts only warranty on the unit cabinet
2. Conditions and Exclusions
a) The warranty only covers portable coolers manufactured by Climate Technologies Pty Ltd and
purchased in the U.S.A.
b) The warranty does not cover installation components that may be attached to the product
manufactured by Climate Technologies Pty Ltd. These may include and is not limited to items
such as ducting, flues, grills, piping, etc. These items remain solely the responsibility of the
installer / owner.
c) This warranty is only valid if the appliance is installed and operated in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions and for its designed and intended purpose at the nominated phase,
voltage and frequency.
d) Product fitness for purpose and overall system design / sizing are solely the responsibility of the
installer / owner. This includes but is not limited to heat load calculations, air flow, system
balancing, humidity, water quality, etc.
e) Industrial or commercial use of this product will void the warranty. The appliance is designed for
domestic use only.
f) The product must be installed by a qualified person in the manner prescribed by local and
statutory regulations and to the manufacturer’s specifications.
g) Warranty will only be given where proof of purchase is provided by the original purchaser and
Climate Technologies Pty Ltd is satisfied that the appliance is within the warranty period.
h) Warranty will not be provided where, in Climate Technologies Pty Ltd opinion:
i. There is nothing wrong with the appliance.
ii. The defective operation of the appliance is due to failure of electricity or water supply.
iii. Defects are caused by neglect, incorrect application, abuse or by accidental damage of the
appliance.
iv. An unauthorized person has attempted to repair the appliance.
v. The appliance has been changed or modified in any way.
vi. A situation arises referenced in the trouble-shooting guide.
i) Damage caused by elements such as wind, rain, lighting, floods, etc. along with power spiking
and brownouts are not considered defective material or workmanship and as such are not
covered by our warranty.
j) If there is no certificate of compliance for plumbing or electrical work, Climate Technologies Pty
Ltd reserves the right to refuse warranty on non-compliant installations.

k) No responsibility will be accepted for outside elements such as pests, animals, pets and vermin
that may cause damage to the unit.
l) Harsh environmental situations such as salt air that may cause damage are not covered.

foundations or any other consequential loss or damage of whatever nature either direct or indirect
resulting from installation, operation or misuse of the appliance.
n) Parts replaced under warranty are warranted for the balance of the original Warranty Period.
o) All warranties are non-transferable.
p) The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to warranties and other rights in respect of
the appliance, which the consumer has under State and Federal laws. This warranty must be
read subject to that legislation and nothing in this warranty has the effect of excluding, restricting
or modifying those rights.

La instalación de este climatizador de manera contraria a estas instrucciones puede causar un

No opere el climatizador sin el Panel de Filtro posterior.

Introducción
Su climatizador de aire por evaporación está diseñado para cubrir los rigores de los ambientes más
extremos. Si se lo usa y se lo mantiene de acuerdo con las instrucciones de este manual, le brindará
años de funcionamiento silencioso y fresco, sin dañar al medio ambiente. Por favor, tómese el tiempo
necesario para leer este manual.
La función principal de la unidad es introducir aire puro, que se lava a través de las almohadillas filtro
para proveer aire puro y fresco. El aire fresco expulsa el aire viciado y caliente de la habitación a través
de puertas o ventanas abiertas.

Operación de la Unidad
Para una exitosa operación del climatizador evaporativo, es esencial que en la habitación que se desee
climatizar, haya suficiente cantidad de aberturas por donde el aire pueda moverse libremente. –
aproximadamente 0.5 m

) Esto generalmente lo proveen puertas y ventanas abiertas según se
muestra en el diagrama que aparece a continuación.
Por favor tome nota: Para una buena ventilación, es importante que las puertas o ventanas abiertas no
estén del lado que sopla el viento .La habitación más alejada del climatizador debe tener mayor
ventilación que las que se encuentran más cercanas.

Purga
La velocidad de purga viene fija de fábrica y no es ajustable sin las instrucciones del fabricante. Es
crítico para la vida del producto que la función de purga no se vea restringida de ninguna manera
ya que esto puede dejar sin efecto la garantía y puede causar daño a los filtros y al climatizador.
Para prevenir que se forme un sifón el la Línea de Purga, no permita que la Línea de Purga se
extienda más de 2” desde el Tubo de Rebalse.
La función de purga debe ser inspeccionada por el usuario regularmente para asegurar que el
purga fluya continuamente cuando la unidad está funcionando en la modalidad “COOL” (FRIO)
Todos los climatizadores evaporativos necesitan un purga del agua para prevenir la
acumulación de depósitos de minerales como resultado del proceso de enfriamiento
por evaporación. Esto prolonga al máximo la vida útil de las almohadillas de filtro
Fibercool Premium y reduce la acumulación de depósitos de minerales dentro del
climatizador. La función de purga trabaja solamente cuando el climatizador funciona
el la modalidad COOL (FRIO) (mientras la bomba está trabajando).
Si el agua contuviera niveles altos de sólidos disueltos (más de 300 p.p.m.), aumente
el nivel de velocidad de purga. Lea la página 45.
El agua purgada puede ser usada en el jardín o se puede derivar al desagüe usando
una manguera estándar de jardín y accesorios disponibles en cualquier ferretería. El
tubo de conexión del rebalse es un tubo recto con rosca de ¾” x 14 ANS.
Por favor note: Cualquier trabajo de tubería agregado por el dueño a la línea de purga debe tener una
inclinación hacia abajo, alejada de la unidad.
Si la descarga de agua no fuera una opción viable debido a la ubicación de la instalación o al costo del
agua, se puede enroscar la manguera de purga dentro del climatizador opuesto a la Válvula de Flotador
de manera que el agua recircule volviendo al tanque. Tenga en cuenta que esto hará que las
almohadillas Filtercool se deban cambiar con más frecuencia.

Operación del Climatizador
Antes de empezar
Asegúrese que siempre haya otra ventana o puerta abierta a través de la cual el aire pueda ser
impulsado a otras partes de la casa. Para una correcta operación y ventilación, lea la página 5.
Asegúrese de mantener limpios los filtros.
Asegúrese de que la alimentación de agua al climatizador esté conectada.
Asegúrese de que el enchufe esté conectado a un tomacorriente de fase única a tierra de 110V
60 Hz ubicado en el interior de la casa y de que el mismo esté encendido.
IMPORTANTE: Después de las primeras 10 horas de operación en la modalidad COOL (FRIO),
se debe drenar el agua del tanque para remover cualquier residuo que pueda contener el nuevo
producto. El proceso debe repetirse después de otras 10 horas de funcionamiento en la
modalidad COOL (FRIO), (Leer la página 44 para ver cómo se remueve el tubo de rebalse).Para
limpiar el tanque hay que remover el conjunto del tubo de rebalse. Desenrosque la tuerca del
rebalse ubicada debajo del climatizador, saque el empalme del rebalse jalándolo hacia arriba
hasta sacarlo del tanque completamente.
Funcionamiento de la Unidad
El climatizador Durango puede funcionar en la modalidad Manual o Automática (remota). Esto se
selecciona con el conmutador de dos posiciones. Cada modalidad dispone de las funciones COOL
(FRIO) y FAN (VENTILADOR)
MODALIDAD MANUAL:
Modalidad COOL (FRIO): - Mueva la perilla de mando
hacia el lado que indica “COOL” (FRIO). Seleccione la
velocidad del ventilador deseada
1. Modalidad Low /Sleep (Baja / Para dormir)
2. Funcionamiento normal
Max- enfriamiento rápido
La unidad funcionará ahora con el motor del ventilador, el motor y
la bomba de agua activados.
Modalidad FAN (VENTILADOR): Mueva la perilla de
mando hacia el lado que indica “FAN” (VENTILADOR –
bomba aislada). Seleccione la velocidad del ventilador
deseada.
3. Modalidad Sleep (Para dormir)
4. Funcionamiento normal
Max- enfriamiento rápido
La unidad funcionará ahora solamente con el motor del ventilador activado.
Para apagar la unidad , rote la perilla de mando a la posición “O”

MODALIDAD “AUTO” (AUTOMÁTICA REMOTA): Para activar la modalidad AUTO gire la perilla según
muestra el diagrama.
MODALIDAD COOL (FRIO): -
4. Presione el botón que dice POWER
(ALIMENTACIÓN) y la unidad arrancará.
5. Ahora presione el botón que dice PUMP (BOMBA) y
se iluminará la luz azul.
6. Presione el botón de velocidad del ventilador como se
muestra en la figura de acuerdo con el nivel de
confort deseado, BAJO, MEDIO o ALTO
La unidad funcionará ahora con el motor del ventilador y
la bomba de agua.
MODALIDAD FAN (VENTILADOR): - La modalidad
Ventilador se puede activar prendiendo y apagando el
botón que dice PUMP (Bomba).la luz azul de la modalidad
enfriamiento se apagará
3. Presione le botón que dice POWER
(ALIMENTACIÓN) y la unidad arrancará.
4. Presione el botón de velocidad del ventilador de según
el nivel de confort deseado, BAJA, MEDIA o ALTA
(Nota: No presione el botón que dice PUMP)
La unidad funcionará ahora solamente con el motor del
ventilador activado.
Para apagar la unidad, presione el botón que dice
POWER (ALIMENTACIÓN).

Para funcionamiento solamente de la bomba se selecciona el botón , el funcionamiento será el siguiente:
1. El botón de Bomba Únicamente .puede ser solamente activado cuando la unidad está encendida.
2. Si se presiona el botón cuando el climatizador está encendido, se apagará el ventilador y se
encenderá la bomba principal (si la bomba principal ya estuviese encendida antes de presionar el botón
, solamente se apagará el ventilador.

3. Presione para apagar la bomba principal. SI se requiere la función de bomba solamente
presione nuevamente el botón y luego para encender la bomba principal.
4. Si se requiere enfriamiento cuando la bomba principal está en marcha, presione el botón y
esto hará poner en marcha el ventilador mientras la bomba principal continúa funcionando.
5. Cuando dse selecciona la función de Bomba Solamente apretando el botón , no podrá
encender el ventilador apretando los siguientes botones

Advertencia
Cuando reciba su unidad, el conjunto del ventilador
y el accesorio de rebalse estarán parcialmente
ubicados dentro de la sección húmeda del
producto.
Armado del ventilador
Antes de instalar el producto en la ventana, la sección
telescópica de la unidad DEBE estar colocada en la
posición correspondiente.
Paso 1 Saque el conjunto del ventilador de la unidad
aproximadamente unas 6”(150 mm) hasta que
toque la pared de la caja húmeda.
Paso 2 Fije el conjunto del ventilador en posición usando
los 12 tornillos Hi-Lo hexagonales suministrados.
Asegúrese que los tornillos estén bien apretados
para que no haya vibración entre la carcasa del
ventilador y la caja húmeda.

Paso 3 Saque la cinta que cubre el fondo
del conjunto del rebalse de agua
Paso 4 Ajuste la tuerca ubicada en el fondo del conjunto
de rebalse de agua para asegurarse de que no

Instalación de la Unidad en la Ventana
NO conecte la alimentación al climatizador antes de haber completado la
instalación.
Montaje interno de la unidad
PARA QUE LA INSTALACIÓN SEA SEGURA, ES FUNDAMENTAL QUE SE COLOQUEN LAS
MÉNSULAS DE METAL SUMINISTRADAS. Utilice las 2 ménsulas de sujeción y los 8 tornillos
provistos (4 tornillos de 16mmm Hi-Lo de cabeza hexagonal y 4 tornillos No. 8 x1/4 pozi-drive)
según se muestra en el diagrama, asegurándose de que la unidad quede firmemente ubicada en
la posición correcta.
Asegúrese de que la ménsula esté alineada dentro de la guía de montaje ubicada en la parte de
abajo de la carcasa del ventilador – ver el diagrama que aparece más abajo. Perfore 2 agujeros
de 1/8” (3.2mm) e inserte los tornillos en la unidad como se indica en el diagrama y repita lo
mismo en el marco de la ventana con tornillos apropiados.
Asegúrese de que el climatizador quede sujeto rígidamente a la estructura de la casa.
Cierre la ventana contra la unidad. Mida el
espacio de la abertura y corte un panel de
relleno de manera que cubra el espacio que
haya quedado. Selle el espacio con silicona
Verifique que la unidad esté todavía nivelada usando
un nivel sobre el tope superior del Panel del Filtro
trasero.

Montaje externo de la unidad
Asegúrese que la ubicación elegida para montar el climatizador sea lo suficientemente fuerte
como para soportar el peso de la unidad en funcionamiento. El peso nominal de operación de la
unidad es de 93 lbs. (42 kg)
Asegúrese que la abertura de la ventana sea lo suficientemente grande para el cuello del
climatizador .Nominalmente 22” (560mm) de altura por 22” (560mm) de anchura)
Asegúrese de que haya un espacio mínimo de 4” (100 mm) por encima del gabinete exterior para
poder realizar el mantenimiento.
Coloque el climatizador a través de la ventana (se necesitan por lo menos dos o más personas
para hacerlo) de manera que la unidad quede completamente arrimada contra la pared exterior
de la casa.
Asegúrese de que la unidad esté bien nivelada tanto en la posición vertical como horizontal
según se ilustra antes de fijarlo permanentemente.

Use los dos anclajes para paredes que se proveen para fijar el climatizador al exterior de la casa
si la pared es de tipo estuco. (Note que si la unidad no queda bien arrimada contra la pared,
estos tornillos se atornillarán entonces en el bloque de madera espaciador(2’ x 4’) ya instalado)
Para paredes sólidas, de ladrillo o mampostería, use tirafondos para mampostería apropiados.
Coloque la unidad en posición, marque la posición de los tornillos, remueva la unidad y agujeree
los orificios piloto para las paredes de madera (1/8” ó 3.2mm)

Instalación de la Unidad de Pared (continuación)
Conexión de agua
Instale una válvula Sillcock y de agua ( no suministrada) al grifo
más cercano al climatizador y una la tubería de suministro de
agua entre el climatizador y la válvula de agua.
El rebalse viene instalado de fábrica. La manguera de purga
que sobresale a través del través del accesorio de rebalse de
agua DEBE purgar agua durante la operación normal a un
promedio de 1.5 – 3 galones por hora (6-12 litros por hora).
Esto es normal y está diseñado para preservar la calidad del
Climatizador y la eficiencia de enfriamiento de la unidad. Si
fuese necesario, el agua de purga se puede canalizar usando
accesorios y una manguera de jardín que se compra en
cualquier negocio.
La válvula de flotador viene ajustada de fábrica y no necesita
ajustes en el momento de la instalación (si fuese necesario
ajustarla lea la página 44).
Su climatizador está ahora listo para el chequeo durante la puesta en marcha (leer a continuación).

Antes de la Puesta en Marcha
Verifique que haya otra ventana o puerta abierta en la habitación para permitir la impulsión del
aire a otras partes de la casa.
Abra el suministro de agua al climatizador.
Enchufe el climatizador en un toma corrientes de fase única conectado a tierra de 110V 60Hz
ubicado dentro de la casa y encienda el interruptor del enchufe.
Encienda la unidad en la modalidad FAN (VENTILADOR) y verifique el funcionamiento de las tres
velocidades del ventilador.
Gire la perilla de mando a la modalidad COOL (FRIO) y haga funcionar el ventilador de tres
velocidades y la bomba.
Dejando la unidad en la modalidad COOL (FRIO, verifique que del tubo de rebalse salga
constantemente un pequeño chorrito de agua. Esta purga está diseñada para reducir la
acumulación de minerales en las almohadillas filtro Filtercool.
Se puede notar olor a papel húmedo a medida que el agua comienza a circular alrededor de los
filtros. Esto es normal durante el periodo de puesta en marcha y al comienzo de cada estación
después de no haber usado el aparato durante el invierno. El olor dura muy poco tiempo.
Instalación de la Bomba purgadora
A este climatizador se le puede agregar una bomba purgadora. El uso de una bomba purgadora
reemplazará periódicamente con agua pura y fresca el agua “DURA” que se forma en el climatizador.
Esto ayuda a reducir la acumulación de minerales en las almohadillas lo que resulta en una vida más
prolongada de las almohadillas y menos mantenimiento del climatizador.

Antes de comenzar cualquier trabajo de mantenimiento en su unidad,
asegúrese de haber desconectado la alimentación eléctrica.

Nota: Es fundamental que el mantenimiento del climatizador se lleve a cabo de acuerdo con las
instrucciones de este manual. El no hacerlo de esta manera afectará la vida útil del producto y reducirá
su nivel de eficiencia.

QUE DEBE USARSE JUNTO CON ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES. Ver página 46.

a colocar la manguera y la agarradera antes de volver a colocar el Panel del Filtro Posterior.
IMPORTANTE: LA rotación de la agarradera debe ser correcta (ver el diagrama anterior) antes de volver
a colocar el Conjunto del Panel del Filtro Posterior.

General
Almohadillas de Filtrado
Verifique visualmente que las almohadillas Filtercool no estén dañadas ni bloqueadas. Limpie
suavemente con la manguera ambos lados de las almohadillas para remover cualquier acumulación de
sal, polvo y polen. En zonas de mucho polvo se recomienda limpiar las almohadillas con más frecuencia.
Chequee el distribuidor de agua, asegurándose de que esté limpio y de que no esté bloqueado. El no
hacerlo puede producir una distribución despareja del agua y por lo tanto una operación menos eficiente.
Tanque de agua
Es importante mantener el agua del tanque limpia, libre de sedimentos y de algas. Para limpiar el tanque
se debe usar un cepillo de cerda suave, cepille todas las superficies del tanque mientras esté lleno de
agua (NO SE OLVIDE DE LIMPIAR EL COLADOR DE LA BOMBA). Cierre la entrada de agua a la unidad
(se debe colocar una válvula de aislamiento en la entrada de agua antes de la válvula de flotador o del
grifo de suministro de agua). Vacíe el tanque desatornillando la tuerca del accesorio del rebalse de agua
y sacando el accesorio de rebalse. Después de volver a llenar el tanque puede ser necesario repetir este
procedimiento si el tanque estuviera muy sucio.
Distribuidor de agua
Verifique que el sistema de distribución de agua no esté tapado. Verifique que el tubo de suministro no
esté perforado o tenga dobleces.

Nota: Antes de conectar la línea de suministro de agua a la válvula de flotador es necesario purgarla
haciendo correr el agua..
Nivel de agua / Válvula de Flotador
El nivel de agua se debe ajustar a una distancia nominal de 3/4” (19mm) por debajo de la altura del labio
de la tubería. La válvula de flotador es mecánica y viene ajustada de fábrica. Si necesitara ajuste
mantenga las curvas. Si la válvula tuviera fugas puede ser necesario reemplazarla.
Nota: Antes de conectarla se debe hacer correr el agua en la línea de alimentación de la válvula
de flotador.
Nota: Después de desconectar todo t todavía puede haber una descarga de agua del rebalse
debido al retorno de agua desde las almohadillas Filtercool del filtro. Esto es normal.do
Motor y Ventilador
Verifique que el ventilador gire libremente y que no haya acumulaciones de suciedad en las paletas. Verifique
que no haya corrosión en el motor y si fuera necesario aplíquele un agente anticorrosivo en spray.

Purgado
El purgado se debe verificar para asegurarse de que corre continuamente y de que no haya acumulación
de depósitos minerales en él o en el climatizador, Los depósitos blancos indican un alto contenido de
minerales y en ese caso se debe verificar el sistema de purgado. Si la boquilla de purga estuviera tapada,
use un alfiler fino o algo similar para limpiarla.
Si el purgado corriese normalmente, la boquilla de purga estuviese limpia y aún así se siguieran
formando depósitos, puede ser necesario aumentar el purgado.
En zonas con agua de mala calidad (donde el total de sólidos disueltos
es mayor que 300 p.p.m.) se debe aumentar el diámetro del niple de
purga usando una mecha de 1.6mm (1/16”).
Operación de la Bomba
Verifique que la bomba gire libremente y que el colador esté
limpio. Asegúrese que la arandela esté colocada en su lugar
en el eje de acero inoxidable debajo del motor por encima de
la línea de agua.
Después de un periodo sin funcionar, la bomba puede dejar
de rotar debido a la acumulación de minerales en el eje de
acero inoxidable adyacente al motor. Para liberar el eje de la
bomba, remueva la acumulación de minerales y rote el eje
usando los dedos o una pinza de tamaño apropiado. Ver el
diagrama.
Pulverizar la superficie con un lubricante que remueva el
agua (como por ejemplo WD-40®) puede ser útil.
En zonas de bajo voltaje, la bomba puede no proveer la
cantidad de agua suficiente para mojar los filtros. Para
rectificar este problema, saque la restricción de agua de la
manguera de suministro de agua de la bomba ubicada
adyacente a la pieza en forma de T del accesorio de purga.

1. Garantía
Sujeto a las Condiciones y exclusiones, Climate Technologies Pty Ltd. provee al comprador

Climate Technologies Pty Ltd garantiza este aparato por un periodo de (2 ) dos años a

como conductos de aire, tubos, rejillas, tuberías, etc. Estos ítems son responsabilidad exclusiva
del instalador / usuario.
(c) Esta garantía es válida solamente cuando el aparato se instala y se opera de acuerdo con las
instrucciones del fabricante y cuando se usa para el propósito para el cual fue diseñado con la
fase, el voltaje y la frecuencia nominados.
(d) La aptitud del producto para el propósito y diseño general /tamaño del sistema es

eléctrico, Climate Technologies Pty Ltd se reserva el derecho de rechazar la garantía de las

(o) Las garantías no son transferibles.
(p) Los beneficios que confiere esta garantía son adicionales a las garantías y otros derechos
respecto al aparato, que el consumidor tiene bajo las leyes federales y estatales. Esta garantía
