This light is rated IP65. It is fully protected against dust and is protected
against low pressure jets of water from all directions (limited ingress
permitted). This does not include the attached plug.
2. Health and Safety Information
Important: Read all Health and Safety instructions before attempting to
operate, maintain or repair this product. Non-compliance with these
instructions may result in injury or damage to the user or the product.
Draper Tools accepts no responsibility for improper use of this device.
•Inspect the product and electrical connections for signs of damage
before every use.
WARNING! Do not use the product if defects are present and
withdraw it from service until it has been repaired. If the external
power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by suitably qualied
personnel or returned to Draper Tools for repair.
• If required, use an extension lead appropriate for both the product and
the environment in which it is used.
− Ensure the extension lead is fully unwound regardless of the
distance from the power supply to the light.
− Use a Residual Current Device (RCD) in damp environments.
•Always ensure that the voltage rating on the product is appropriate for
the power supply to be used and that the plug is tted with the correct
fuse.
•Remove all packaging and wrapping before use.
•Position the product appropriately.
− Use only on level surfaces.
− Ensure that the product is stable and unlikely to tip over.
− Apply weights to the tripod legs where necessary.
− To prevent tripping, clearly mark or place barriers around the base
of the product where possible.
− This is a Class I appliance and requires an earth connection to
protect against electric shock from accessible conductive parts in
the event of failure of the basic insulation.
•Ensure that all joints and attachments are securely fastened when the
product is in use or stored.
•Keep trailing cables and extension leads tidy and secured to avoid trip
hazards.
•DO NOT carry the light by the cable or plug.
•WARNING! This product gets hot when in use.
−NEVER place objects on the lamp area or hang objects on any part
of this product.
−NEVER use the light near ammable or combustible substances or
equipment.
−ALWAYS disconnect the power supply and allow at least ten minutes
for the product to cool before attempting any maintenance or
adjustment.
•ALWAYS switch o the light before disconnecting the mains power.
WARNING! Do not stare at the operating light source.
•DO NOT pull on the cable to disconnect the light from mains power.
• This product is certied for use in ambient temperatures of -20 to +45°C.
•Replace any cracked protective shield.
− This product includes a 4mm glass shield rated IK08.
3. Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Important: Maintenance and repair, including replacement of the light
source, must only be performed by qualied personnel with sucient
knowledge of the electrical circuits used in this device.
•Always disconnect the power supply and allow the lamp to cool before
cleaning.
•Clean the lamp using a dry cloth ONLY.
CAUTION! Do not immerse this product in water.
•Store the product in a clean and dry environment, out of reach of
children, with all joints rmly secured.
− Use a Residual Current Device (RCD) in damp environments.
If the light does not illuminate when switched on, check that all power
connections are secured and active.
