REQUISITOS DEL AMPLIFICADOR

han sido diseñados de modo a alcanzar un
alto grado de rendimiento. La serie AS-06 se ha diseñado para que sea compatible 8
ohmios permitiendo la reproducción con casi cualquier amplificador o receptor existente
en el mercado. La mayoría de los amplificadores con una potencia de salida de 20 - 100
vatios por canal impulsarán eficientemente a los altavoces AS-06 de

Advertencia: Si un amplificador o receptor es utilizado por encima de su
capacidad normal, la distorsión resultante es realmente muchas veces mayor
que su potencia nominal. La distorsión que se produce al emplear el
amplificador por su encima de su capacidad normal es llamada corte (clipping),
y se identifica fácilmente por su sonido difuso y distorsionado que puede dañar
cualquier altavoz. El mando de volumen de la mayoría de los amplificadores y
receptores es de tipo logarítmico, lo que significa que se puede alcanzar plena
potencia con ese mando puesto solamente en un punto intermedio. Mover los
mandos de volumen, agudos o bajos aumenta la potencia de salida mucho más
allá de los niveles especificados. Por ello, la garantía sobre sus altavoces
queda nula si las bobinas móviles se queman o son dañadas como resultado de
sobrecarga o de corte.
CUIDADO DE LA CAJA
Las cajas de estos altavoces se han construido y acabado con gran cuidado. Use
periódicamente un paño suave y seco para quitar el polvo o las marcas de dedos. No
utilice toallas de papel ni otros materiales abrasivos que puedan dañar el acabado.
CONEXIONES DE LOS ALTAVOCES
Precaución:

AS-06 hay bornes de color
rojo y negro. Conecte el equipo un canal a la vez con alambre estándar para altavoces y
comience el proceso en el receptor. Conecte el cable del altavoz del terminal positivo
(ROJO +) del receptor al terminal positivo (ROJO+) del altavoz. Conecte el terminal
negativo (NEGRO-) del receptor al terminal negativo (NEGRO-) del altavoz. Para conectar
el alambre al altavoz, presione a fondo el terminal que corresponda, y haga pasar el
alambre a través del agujero que hay en la parte alargada del terminal dorado. Suelte el
terminal y los resortes internos sujetarán el alambre en su lugar. Haga lo mismo con el
otro terminal.
Hágalo un canal a la vez, hasta que todos los altavoces estén conectados correctamente.
Asegúrese de que haya coincidencia entre el positivo y el negativo, y entre el altavoz y el
canal correspondiente.
NOTA: Si por inadvertencia usted invierte alguna de las conexiones (esto es,
rojo con negro), advertirá que la reproducción de los bajos de su equipo es

revise las conexiones y modifíquelas si es necesario.
COLOCACIÓN DE LOS ALTAVOCES
Instale el altavoz en un lugar seguro que no esté expuesto directamente a los elementos,
ni lluvia, ni vientos fuertes ni luz del sol. Los altavoces son resistentes a la intemperie,
pero no están diseñados para ser expuestos directamente a la lluvia ni ser sumergidos en
el agua. El sujetador del altavoz debe ser instalado en un lugar que sea seguro, se
aconseja hacerlo en una pared sólida, sobre un pie derecho o un ladrillo. Su instalación
en un revestimiento de aluminio o un canalón de agua, por ejemplo, no será lo
suficientemente sólida como para que el altavoz esté sujeto de manera segura. Use
elementos de fijación metálica que soporten su peso de cerca de cuatro kilos (casi 9
libras). El sujetador se une al altavoz con las dos grandes perillas roscadas.
Antes de ajustar el ángulo del altavoz, empiece por destornillar las perillas en tres o
cuatro vueltas hasta que los dientes estén separados. Dirija los altavoces hacia el lugar

Limited Warranty Policy
in the United States and Canada
athena TECHNOLOGIES

warrants this product to the retail purchaser against
any failure resulting from original manufacturing defects in workmanship or
materials. The warranty is in effect for a period of: Speaker Section-five (5)
years, Amplifier Section-one (1) year from date of purchase from an authorized
athena TECHNOLOGIES
®
dealer and is valid only if the original dated bill of sale
is presented when service is required.
The warranty does not cover damage caused during shipment, by accident,
misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorized product modification, failure to follow
the instructions outlined in the owner’s manual, failure to perform routine
maintenance, damage resulting from unauthorized repairs or claims based
upon misrepresentations of the warranty by the seller.

protect them from damage in transit and for the shipping costs to an

in Toronto or Buffalo, the costs
of the return shipment to you will be paid by athena, provided the repairs
concerned fall within the Limited Warranty. The athena Warranty is limited
to repair or replacement of athena products. It does not cover any incidental
or consequential damage of any kind. If the provisions in any advertisement,
packing cartons or literature differ from those specified in this warranty, the
terms of the Limited Warranty prevail.
