ENJOY YOUR POLK AUDIO HEADPHONES RESPONSIBLY

It’s a very bad idea, and in many jurisdictions against the law, to operate a vehicle while wearing

headphones. Crossing streets without being able to hear what’s going on around you can be

dangerous as well. Use your good common sense and never play headphones in an environ-

ment, or during an activity, that requires your complete attention. The sounds you hear around

you could save your life.

HOW LOUD IS TOO LOUD?

Polk Audio headphones are capable of reproducing excellent musical detail, even at lower

volume levels. You should limit prolonged exposure to volumes that exceed 85 decibels (dB).

Regular exposure to sound over 100 dB for more than 1 minute risks permanent hearing loss.

CONNECT YOUR HEADPHONES

LISTEN

But first…turn down the volume on your music player before inserting your headphones.

Plug the headphone cable firmly into the 1/8” (3.5 mm) stereo jack on your music player.

Then plug the other end into the left ear cup.

IMPORTANT: UltraFocus headphones have a left and right orientation.

They use the letters “L” and “R” to indicate which ear cup goes over which ear.

CARE & STORAGE

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Clean the headphones occasionally using a soft, slightly damp cloth. NEVER ALLOW

LIQUID TO PENETRATE THE HEADPHONES. Liquids will cause a short-circuit of the

headphone electronics. NEVER USE SOLVENT OR CLEANSER.

STORING YOUR ULTRAFOCUS HEADPHONES

Store your headphones in their protective case. Store

the case in a clean,dry environment. DO NOT expose

your headphones to extreme heat or cold, high humidity

or liquids.

ULTRAFOCUS 8000 OVER-EAR HEADPHONES

IMPORTANT: When you are using UltraFocus headphones,

Active Noise Canceling is on at all times and cannot be

turned off. Batteries must be installed for the headphones

to deliver sound.

INSERTING & REPLACING BATTERIES

The Active Noise Cancelation feature in your Ultra Focus

headphones requires two (2) size AAA batteries. To install

the batteries, open the battery compartment located on

the left ear cup, place fingertips in two depressions and

twist cover counterclockwise. Insert the batteries; note

the correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.

LOW BATTERY INDICATOR

The battery indicator will shine blue when the battery

is fully charged. When the battery needs to be replaced,

the indicator will change color, alternating from blue to red.

REPLACING THE EAR CUSHIONS

To remove the ear cushions, hold the ear cup, twist

the ear cushion counterclockwise and pull away from

the ear cups. Twist and lock the new ear cushions onto

the ear cups. You can obtain replacement ear cushions

as accessories.

PUSH-TO-HEAR AMBIENT CONTROL

The push-to-hear ambient control, which is located on the control cup of the headphone,

mutes your music and amplifies outside sounds so you can hear without removing the

headphones. Push again to go back to your music. NOTE: While using VOLUME +

or the VOLUME – buttons, the push-to-hear ambient control volume will not change.

ADJUSTING THE ULTRAFOCUS 8000 HEADBAND

For optimum performance, you want your headphones to fit snugly and create a comfortable

yet effective seal around your ears. A proper fit ensures the best sound and effective noise

reduction from outside sources. The design adjusts to fit any size head.

The headband should sit flat across the top of your head. Adjust the headband as necessary

by evenly pulling on metal slides to conform around your ears. The headphone ear cushions

should completely surround your ears. This indicates a good fit, which means outside sounds

should be muffled.

Polk Audio, Inc., warrants, to the original retail purchaser only, that this Polk Audio Headphone

Product will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year

from the date of original retail purchase from a Polk Audio Authorized Dealer. This warranty

will terminate automatically prior to its stated expiration if the original retail purchaser sells

or transfers the product to any other party.

disaster, misuse, abuse, negligence, inadequate packing or shipping procedures, commercial

use, voltage inputs in excess of the rated maximum “of the unit, cosmetic appearance not

directly attributable to defect in materials or workmanship, or service, repair, or modification

of the Product which has not been authorized or approved by Polk Audio. This warranty shall

terminate if the Serial number on the Product has been removed, tampered with or defaced.

This warranty is in lieu of all other expressed Warranties. If this Product is defective in materials

or workmanship as warranted above, your sole remedy shall be repair or replacement as pro-

vided above. In no event will Polk Audio, Inc. be liable to you for any incidental or consequential

damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Product, even if Polk Audio, Inc. or a Polk

Audio Authorized Dealer has been advised of the possibility of such damages, or for any claim

ÉCOUTEZ BIEN

Baissez d’abord le volume de votre lecteur audio avant d’utiliser vos écouteurs. Insérez

solidement la fiche des écouteurs dans la prise 1/8” (3,5 mm) de votre lecteur audio.

Connectez ensuite l’autre bout du câble dans l’écouteur gauche.

IMPORTANT: Les écouteurs UltraFocus sont identifiés «L» pour l’oreille gauche et «R» pour

l’oreille droite.

ENTRETIEN ET RANGEMENT

ENTRETIEN

Nettoyez vos écouteurs occasionnellement avec un chiffon doux et humide. N’UTILISEZ

JAMAIS DE SOLVANT OU DE NETTOYANT. NE LAISSEZ JAMAIS DE LIQUIDE PÉNÉTRER

LES ÉCOUTEURS car ceci pourrait causer un court-circuit.

RANGEMENT DE VOS ÉCOUTEURS ULTRAFOCUS

Rangez vos écouteurs dans leur étui protecteur et rangez-le dans

un endroit sec et propre. N’EXPOSEZ PAS vos écouteurs au froid

ou à la chaleur extrême, à l’humidité excessive ou aux liquides.

ÉCOUTEURS EXTRA-AURICULAIRES ULTRAFOCUS 8000

IMPORTANT: Lorsque les écouteurs sont sous tension, la suppression

active de bruit est en fonction continue et ne peut être désactivée.

Des piles doivent être installées pour alimenter les écouteurs.

INSTALLATION DES PILES

La suppression active de bruit des écouteurs UltraFocus

requiert deux piles de format AAA. Pour installer les piles,

ouvrez le compartiment des piles situé sur l’écouteur gauche,

placez le bout des doigts dans les deux cavités puis tournez

en sens antihoraire. Insérez les piles en respectant la polarité

(+-) et refermez le compartiment.

INDICATEUR DE PILE FAIBLE

L’indicateur est bleu lorsque la pile est chargée à bloc.

Lorsque la pile est faible, l’indicateur passe de bleu à rouge.

REMPLACEMENT DES COUSSINETS

Retirez d’abord le coussinet de chaque écouteur. Pour ce faire,

tournez le coussinet en sens antihoraire puis retirez-le. Installez

ensuite le nouveau coussinet en le tournant en sens horaire

jusqu’à ce qu’il s’enclenche. De nouveaux coussinets sont

disponibles comme accessoires.

CONTRÔLE D’AMBIANCE PUSH-TO-HEAR

Le contrôle d’ambiance Push-to-hear (presser pour écouter), situé sur l’écouteur de contrôle,

met la musique en sourdine et amplifie le son ambiant, vous permettant de l’entendre sans

retirer les écouteurs. Vous n’avez qu’à presser le contrôle une seconde fois pour retourner à

votre musique. NOTE : Le contrôle de volume (+ -) n’affecte pas le volume du son ambiant.

AJUSTEMENT DE L’ARCEAU DES ULTRAFOCUS 8000

Pour une performance optimale, il est important que les écouteurs soient bien ajustés pour

recouvrir complètement les oreilles tout en demeurant confortables. Un bon ajustement assure

le meilleur son possible et une bonne atténuation des son ambiants. L’arceau a été conçu pour

s’ajuster à toutes les têtes.

L’arceau devrait reposer à plat sur le dessus de votre tête. Vous pouvez ajuster l’arceau en tirant

également les glissières métalliques jusqu’à ce que les coussinets des écouteurs entourent bien

vos oreilles. Ceci assurera votre confort et une atténuation optimale des sons ambiants.

¿CUÁN FUERTE ES DEMASIADO FUERTE?

Los auriculares de Polk Audio son capaces de reproducir excelente detalle musical aun a

bajo volumen. Limite la exposición prolongada a volúmenes que superan 85 dB. Exponerse

con regularidad a sonidos de más de 100 dB durante más de un minuto implica un riesgo

Pero primero... bájele el volumen al reproductor de música antes de ponerse los auriculares.

Enchufe firmemente el cable de los auriculares en el conector estereofónico de 1/8 plg. (3.5

mm) de su reproductor de música. Luego enchufe el otro extremo en la cubierta de auricular

izquierda.

IMPORTANTE: Los auriculares UltraFocus tienen orientación izquierda y derecha. Tienen

una letra L (izquierda) y una letra R (derecha) para indicar qué auricular va en qué oído.

CUIDADO Y ALMACENAMIENTO

IMPORTANTE: Cuando use los auriculares UltraFocus, la cancelación

activa de ruido está activada en todo momento y no se puede apagar.

A los auriculares se les deben poner pilas para que suenen.

INSERCIÓN Y CAMBIO DE LAS PILAS

La característica de cancelación activa de ruido de los auriculares

UltraFocus requiere dos (2) pilas tamaño AAA. Para cambiar las

pilas, abra el compartimiento de pilas ubicado en la cubierta de

auricular izquierda, ponga las puntas de dos dedos en las dos

depresiones y tuerza la cubierta en dirección opuesta a las

manecillas del reloj. Inserte las pilas; asegúrese de que la

polaridad sea correcta. Cierre el compartimiento de las pilas.

INDICADOR DE CARGA BAJA

El indicador de carga brilla de color azul cuando las pilas están

completamente cargadas. Cuando es necesario cambiar las pilas,

el indicador comienza a alternar entre azul y rojo.

CAMBIO DE LAS ALMOHADILLAS DE AURICULAR

Para quitar las almohadillas de auricular, sostenga la cubierta de

auricular, gire la almohadilla en dirección opuesta a las manecillas

del reloj, y jálela para separarla de la cubierta. Gire y bloquee las

nuevas almohadillas en las cubiertas. Las almohadillas de auricular

SELECTOR DE SONIDO EXTERIOR

El selector de sonido exterior, ubicado en la cubierta de control de los auriculares, silencia

la música y amplifica los sonidos exteriores para que pueda oír sin quitarse los auriculares.

Vuelva a oprimirlo para restituir la música. NOTA: mientras esté oprimiendo los botones VOL-

UME + o VOLUME –, el selector de sonido exterior no funciona.

AJUSTE DEL ARCO DEL ULTRAFOCUS 8000

Para lograr una fidelidad óptima, se recomienda que los auriculares se ajusten bien y formen

un sello cómodo pero eficaz alrededor de las orejas. El ajuste adecuado garantiza un sonido

óptimo y la mejor reducción de ruido exterior. El diseño permite que los auriculares se ajusten

independientemente del tamaño de la cabeza.

El arco debe quedar contra la parte de arriba de la cabeza. Ajústelo según sea necesario jalando

uniformemente los deslizadores de metal para conformar los auriculares alrededor de las orejas.

Las almohadillas de auricular deben rodear completamente las orejas. Esto indica un buen

ajuste, lo cual significa que los sonidos exteriores quedarán atenuados.

ULTRAFOCUS 8000 OHRABDECKENDER KOPFHÖRER

WICHTIG: Bei Verwendung von UltraFocus-Kopfhörern ist

die aktive Geräuschunterdrückung ständig aktiviert und kann

nicht ausgeschaltet werden. Es müssen Batterien installiert

sein, damit Sie mit dem Kopfhörer etwas hören können.

EINLEGEN UND ERSATZ DER BATTERIEN

Die aktive Geräuschunterdrückung in Ihrem UltraFocus-Kopfhörer

erfordert zwei (2) Batterien der Größe AAA. Um die Batterien zu

installieren, öffnen Sie das Batteriefach an der linken Ohrmuschel,

indem Sie mit den Fingerspitzen in die beiden Vertiefungen drücken

und die Abdeckung gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Legen Sie die

Batterien ein, wobei auf die richtige Polung zu achten ist. Schließen

Sie das Batteriefach.

NIEDRIGER BATTERIESTAND

Der Batteriestandsanzeiger leuchtet blau, wenn die Batterie voll

aufgeladen ist. Wenn die Batterie ersetzt werden muss, wechselt

die Farbe der Anzeige von Blau zu Rot.

AUSTAUSCH DER POLSTERKAPPEN

Um die Polsterkappen abzunehmen, halten Sie die Ohrmuschel, drehen die

Polsterkappe gegen den Uhrzeigersinn und ziehen sie von der Ohrmuschel

PUSH-TO-HEAR-UMGEBUNGSKONTROLLE

Die Push-to-Hear-Umgebungskontrolle, die sich an der Reglermuschel des Kopfhörers befindet,

Das Kopfband sollte oben am Kopf flach anliegen. Passen Sie das Kopfband nach Bedarf

an, indem Sie gleichmäßig an den Metallschienen ziehen, so dass der Kopfhörer richtig an

den Ohren ansitzt. Die Polsterkappen des Kopfhörers sollten Ihre Ohren ganz abdecken.

COLLEGAMENTO DELLA CUFFIA

Anzitutto, abbassare il volume del lettore prima di indossare la cuffia; collegare bene il cavo

della cuffia nel connettore stereo da 3,5 mm del lettore e nel connettore sul padiglione sinistro.

NOTA BENE. Le cuffie UltraFocus vanno indossate seguendo il giusto orientamento:

le lettere “L” e “R” indicano l’auricolare che va inserito, rispettivamente, nell’orecchio

sinistro e in quello destro.

CURA E CONSERVAZIONE

CURA E MANUTENZIONE

Pulire saltuariamente la cuffia con un panno morbido e inumidito. MAI PERMETTERE A

UN LIQUIDO DI ENTRARE NELLA CUFFIA, poiché causerebbe un cortocircuito dei circuiti

elettronici. MAI USARE SOLVENTI O DETERGENTI.

CONSERVAZIONE DELLA CUFFIA ULTRAFOCUS

Riporre la cuffia nella custodia e quest’ultima in un luogo pulito

e asciutto. NON esporre la cuffia a temperature estremamente

alte o basse, a umidità elevata o a liquidi.

CUFFIA CON PADIGLIONI COMPATTI ULTRAFOCUS 8000

NOTA BENE: Quando si usa una cuffia UltraFocus, il circuito

di cancellazione attiva del rumore è sempre inserito e non

può essere disinserito. È necessario installare le pile per

poter ascoltare con la cuffia.

INSERIMENTO E SOSTITUZIONE DELLE PILE

Il circuito di cancellazione attiva del rumore di cui è dotata la cuffia

UltraFocus richiede due pile ministilo (AAA). Per installarle, aprirne

lo scomparto situato nel padiglione sinistro, mettere le punta delle

dita in due concavità e girare il coperchio in senso antiorario; inserire

le pile rispettando la corretta polarità, quindi chiudere lo scomparto.

SPIA DI BASSA CARICA DELLE PILE

La spia è blu a luce fissa quando le pile sono cariche; cambia

colore, alternativamente dal blu al rosso, quando occorre sostituirle.

SOSTITUZIONE DELLE IMBOTTITURE

Per rimuovere le imbottiture, girarle in senso antiorario mentre si

tengono fermi i padiglioni e tirarle per staccarle dai padiglioni. Inserire

le imbottiture nuove girandole per bloccarle. Le imbottiture di ricambio

sono disponibili come accessori.

REGOLAZIONE DEL SUONO AMBIENTE “PREMI PER ASCOLTARE”

Il pulsante di regolazione del suono ambiente, situato sul padiglione, silenzia l’audio e

amplifica i suoni esterni per consentire di ascoltarli senza bisogno di togliersi la cuffia;

premerlo di nuovo per tornare ad ascoltare la musica. NOTA: mentre si usa il pulsante

VOLUME + o VOLUME –, il pulsante di regolazione del suono ambiente non ha effetto.

REGOLAZIONE DEL SUPPORTO ELASTICO DELLA CUFFIA ULTRAFOCUS 8000

Per ottenere prestazioni ottimali, la cuffia deve essere comoda pur schermando efficacemente

dai suoni esterni la zona intorno alle orecchie. Il supporto elastico è regolabile per ottenere

l’adattamento migliore secondo le dimensioni della testa.

Il supporto elastico deve essere piatto sul capo. Regolarlo tirando in misura uguale gli

elementi metallici scorrevoli affinché le imbottiture circondino completamente le orecchie,

in modo da smorzare al massimo i suoni esterni.

听音乐

首先...把音乐播放器的音量调低，然后再插入耳塞。

把头戴耳机的连接电缆插入音乐播放器的1/8英寸（3.5毫米）立体声耳机插孔。

但首先...在插入耳机前，先调低音乐播放器的音量。将耳机线缆牢固地插入 1/8”

（英寸）（3.5 毫米）音乐播放器的立体声插孔中。然后将另一端插入左耳罩中。

重要事项：UltraFocus 耳机分左右方向。用字母“L”和“R”来指明将哪个耳罩戴在哪只

耳朵上。

耳机的保养及保存

保养和维护

使用微湿的软布定期清洁耳机。严禁液体进入耳机。液体会导致耳机电子设备短路。

切勿使用溶剂或清洁剂。

存放 ULTRAFOCUS 耳机

将耳机存放在保护盒中。将保护盒存放在清洁、干燥的环境中。

切勿将耳机置于极热或极寒、极湿的环境中或液体中。

ULTRAFOCUS 8000 头戴式耳机

重要事项：使用 UltraFocus 耳机时，有源降噪功能将始

终开启并不可关闭。必须安装电池以便耳机能传送声音。

插入和更换电池

Ultra Focus 耳机的有源降噪功能需要两节（2） AAA 电池。

若要安装电池，则打开左耳罩上的电池盒，将指尖放在两个凹槽

中逆时针扭转盒盖。插入电池；注意确保电极正确。关上电池盒。

低电量指示灯

当电池充满电后，电池指示灯将闪蓝光。当电池需要更换时，
