following text, you have chosen a high-quality product.

Before you start using the bathroom scale, get familiar with it and read this user manual carefully.

Primarily pay attention to the safety instructions and utilize the bathroom scale only as described in

this user manual and for the specified purposes.

Keep this user manual for later reference. If you give the bathroom scale to someone else, also give

them all the documents.

1. Safety instructions

Before using the bathroom scale for the first time, carefully read

the following instructions and obey all warnings, even if you are

familiar with handling electronic devices. Keep this user manual

safe for future reference. If you sell or give the bathroom scale

away, provide this user manual, too.

Explanation of the symbols used

This symbol, in conjunction with the signal word "WARNING,"

identifies an impending dangerous situation that, if not avoided,

could result in major injuries or even death.

This symbol, in conjunction with the signal word "NOTICE,"

warns of possible property damage.

This symbol shows that the bathroom scale must not

be used with moist or wet feet. Also do not use it if

the surface of the scale is moist or wet. You could

slip and be injured.

This symbol indicates that the bathroom scale must

not be loaded with more than 180 kg or 396 lb or

28.3 stone. Otherwise, the bathroom scale may be

damaged and you could be injured.

This symbol indicates other important information

on the topic.

 Do not allow children to play with the bathroom scale. Also,

keep the packaging foil away from children. It can cause

suffocation.

 Do not step on the bathroom scale with moist or wet feet or

when the surface of the scale is moist. You could slip and be

injured.

 Do not place a load greater than 180 kg, 396 lb or 28.3

stone on the bathroom scale. Otherwise, the bathroom scale

may be damaged and you could be injured.

 Do not jump on the surface of the bathroom scale. This could

damage the device and you could be injured.

 If the batteries have leaked, remove them to avoid damaging

the bathroom scale. You can remove battery acid that has

leaked using a dry absorbent cloth. Wear appropriate

gloves while doing this! Avoid skin contact. If the acid

contacts your skin or eyes, rinse the area immediately with a

lot of water and see a doctor.

 Exercise care in handling batteries in order to prevent

shorting with conducting materials, such as rings, coins,

overheat and cause burns.

 Do not dispose of the battery in a fire.

 Do not open or mutilate a battery or cell. Electrolyte from the

cell is corrosive and can cause damage to the eyes or skin.

The cell contents can also be hazardous if ingested.

 Only cells or batteries identified as "rechargeable" should be

charged.

 During normal use, batteries should not reach temperature

extremes that could cause burns. To mitigate potential burns,

batteries should not be handled immediately after use of the

device or charging.

 If you see smoke, hear unusual noises or smell odors, remove

the batteries from the bathroom scale immediately. In these

cases, do not use the bathroom scale again before it has

been checked by an expert. Do not inhale the smoke from a

possible device fire. If you have inhaled the smoke, see a

doctor. Inhaling smoke can damage your health.

 To avoid hazards, do not damage the bathroom scale.

 Do not expose the bathroom scale to direct sources of heat

(for example, heaters), to direct sunlight or artificial light.

Also avoid contact with splashed water, dripping water or

aggressive liquids. Do not use the bathroom scale near

water. In particular, do not immerse the bathroom scale (do

not place objects filled with liquid, for example, vases or

beverages, on the bathroom scale). Make sure that the

bathroom scale is not subjected to excessive vibrations or

inside. This could damage the bathroom scale.

 Make sure that no open fires (for example, burning candles)

are placed on or near the bathroom scale. There is the

 Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most

suitable for the intended use.

 Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior

to the battery installation.

 Remove batteries from equipment that is not to be used for

an extended period of time.

 Remove used batteries promptly.

 Battery contacts need to be clean, both on the battery and in

the appliance.

 Batteries should be removed from the appliance when not

being used for long periods of time (months).

 Choose the proper battery for the intended application.

2. Intended use

This bathroom scale is used to determine the weight of people. Do not use it outside closed rooms

or in tropical climate zones. This bathroom scale is not intended for use in a business or for

commercial purposes. Only utilize the bathroom scale in living areas for private use, every other

use is considered misuse. This bathroom scale complies with all relevant norms and standards in

conjunction with CE conformity. Compliance with these standards is no longer guaranteed in the

event of a change to the bathroom scale that has not been coordinated with the manufacturer. The

manufacturer denies any and all liability from damage or malfunctions resulting from such action.

Use only accessories specified by the manufacturer.

Obey the regulations or laws of the country of use.

6. Before using

6.1. Inserting / replacing the batteries

To insert the batteries, remove the battery compartment

cover from the battery compartment (4) on the underside

of the bathroom scale. To do this, press a finger on the

grooved area and slide the battery compartment cover to

the side.

Insert the supplied batteries or replace the batteries if they

are discharged. When inserting the batteries, pay attention

to the correct polarity (look for + and -). The polarity is

pictured on the batteries and in the battery compartment

(4). Then slide the battery compartment cover back over

the battery compartment (4) until you hear it latch.

7. First use

7.1. Switching on the scale / weighing

For the bathroom scale to measure weight accurately, you must calibrate it

before its first use or after it has been moved. To calibrate it, step on the scale

surface (2) briefly, step off again and wait until the bathroom scale has

switched off automatically. The bathroom scale is now calibrated.

With the Step-On Power function, the bathroom scale switches on automatically when you step on

the scale surface (2) and it starts measuring your weight immediately.

As delivered, the bathroom scale is set to the "kg" weight unit. To change the weight unit, press the

"Button for setting the weight unit" (3) when the scale is switched on. The selected weight unit is

shown in the LCD (1).

Step on the surface (2) of the bathroom scale so that your weight is uniformly distributed. While

being weighed, try not to move as otherwise the result may be incorrect. While being weighed, the

result is shown in the LCD (1). Weighing is not finished until the display flashes three times.

You need a firm base to measure your weight accurately. For this reason,

always place the bathroom scale on a firm, horizontal floor covering, never on

a carpet. This can yield a wrong result.

To achieve comparable results, you should always weigh yourself at the same

time of day if at all possible (best in the morning). Always weigh yourself

under the same conditions if possible: before eating, after using the toilet and

with no clothing on.

Keep in mind that, if you are using the stone unit of weight, the value is not

displayed as a decimal number. The display is divided into two segments by a

colon. To the left of the colon, only the integers are displayed in the "st" unit of

weight. The rest of the weight is displayed to the right of the colon and uses

the "lb" unit of weight.

Example: shown in the display: "6:8 st". This corresponds to 6 st and 8 lb.

7.2. Automatic power-off

The bathroom scale has an automatic power-off function (auto power-off). After displaying the

result, the bathroom scale turns itself off automatically.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. Blank LCD.

 The batteries are discharged. Replace the batteries with new ones of the same type. Follow

the notes on this in section "6.1. Inserting / replacing the batteries."

 The batteries are inserted incorrectly. Follow the notes on this in section "6.1. Inserting /

replacing the batteries."

8.2. "Lo" is displayed in the LCD and the scale powers off.

 The batteries are almost discharged. Replace the batteries with new ones of the same type.

8.3. "USEL" is displayed in the LCD and the scale powers off.

 A fault has occurred and the bathroom scale cannot measure the weight. In this case, step off

the surface (2) of the bathroom scale and step on it again. Weighing starts again.

8.4. "Err" is displayed in the LCD.

 The weight exceeds the maximum weight of 180 kg / 396 lb / 28.3 stone. Step off the

surface (2) of the bathroom scale immediately to avoid damaging the bathroom scale.

9. Maintenance / cleaning

Maintenance work is necessary if the bathroom scale was damaged, for example, if the device

housing is damaged, liquids or objects have gotten inside the bathroom scale or if it was subjected

to rain or moisture. Maintenance work is also necessary if it is not operating correctly or has been

dropped. If you see smoke, hear unusual noises or smell odors, remove the batteries from the

bathroom scale immediately. In these cases, do not use the bathroom scale again before it has

been checked by an expert. Only let qualified technicians perform maintenance work. Never open

the housing of the bathroom scale. Clean it only with a clean, dry cloth; never use aggressive

liquids.

10. Environmental information and disposal specifications

10.1. Disposal of the packaging

Separate the packaging before you dispose of it. Then dispose of the packaging using

your local waste disposal company.

10.2. Disposing of used devices

Do not dispose of used devices in household trash! If you are not going to use the bathroom scale

anymore, dispose of it in accordance with the applicable regulations in your state or country. This

ensures that used devices are recycled professionally and that there are no negative consequences

for the environment.

Make sure that disposal conforms to the local regulations and the EPA recommendations

(www.epa.gov).

10.3. Disposing of batteries

The batteries must be removed from the device before it is scrapped. Keep environmental protection

in mind. Used batteries do not belong in household trash. You must drop them off at a collection

point for used batteries. Keep in mind that batteries may only be deposited in the collection bin for

used device batteries when discharged or if, in the case of batteries that are only partially

discharged, you have taken action to prevent short circuits.

What does this warranty cover?

The warranty covers:

 Damage, breakage, or inoperability due to defect.

 Damage not accounted by normal wear and tear or following the safety and maintenance

instructions provided in the user manual.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

 Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);

 Improper use or transport;

 Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;

 Accidents or acts of nature (eg., lightening, fire, water, etc.).

Antes de utilizar por primera vez la báscula de baño, lea

 No arroje las pilas al fuego.

 No abra ni dañe las pilas ni las celdas. El electrolito de la

celda es corrosivo y puede causar daños en los ojos o en la

piel. El contenido de la celda también puede ser peligroso

en caso de ingestión.

 Solo se deben cargar las celdas o pilas identificadas como

"recargables".

 Durante el uso normal, las pilas no deberían alcanzar

6. Antes de la puesta en marcha

6.1. Colocación/cambio de las pilas

Para colocar las pilas, retire la tapa del compartimento de

las pilas (4) situada en la parte inferior de la báscula de

baño ejerciendo presión con un dedo sobre la superficie

acanalada y retirando la tapa del compartimento hacia el

lateral.

Coloque las pilas adjuntas o bien cambie las pilas cuando

estén gastadas. Al colocarlas, tenga en cuenta la

polaridad (fíjese en los símbolos + y -). La polaridad está

representada en las pilas y en el compartimento de las

pilas (4). A continuación, vuelva a deslizar la tapa sobre

el compartimento de las pilas (4) hasta que oiga el sonido

de encastre.

7. Puesta en marcha

7.1. Encendido de la báscula / Medición del peso

Para que la báscula de baño pueda determinar el peso con precisión, antes del primer

uso, o bien después de cambiar su lugar de emplazamiento, se la debe calibrar. Para

ello, súbase durante un instante sobre la superficie (2), bájese y espere hasta que la

báscula de baño se apague automáticamente. La báscula estará calibrada.

Con la función de encendido al subirse (función "Step On Power"), la báscula de baño se

enciende en forma automática al subirse a la superficie (2) y comienza inmediatamente a calcular

el peso.

En estado de fábrica, la unidad de peso de la báscula de baño está ajustada en "kg". Para

modificar la unidad de peso, encienda el aparato y presione la "tecla para ajustar la unidad de

peso" (3). La unidad de peso seleccionada se mostrará en la pantalla LCD (1).

Sitúese sobre la superficie (2) de la báscula de baño de modo que su peso esté distribuido

uniformemente. Durante el proceso de pesaje intente no moverse ya que el resultado de la

medición podría ser incorrecto. Durante el proceso de pesaje, el resultado de la medición se

muestra en la pantalla LCD (1). La medición habrá finalizado cuando la lectura parpadee tres

veces.

Un requisito fundamental para que la medición de peso sea correcta es que

la base sea firme. Por este motivo, siempre coloque la báscula de baño sobre

un suelo con revestimiento firme y horizontal y nunca sobre una alfombra.

Esta podría alterar el resultado de la medición.

Para lograr resultados de medición que puedan compararse entre sí, de ser

posible debería pesarse siempre a la misma hora del día (de preferencia por

la mañana). Intente pesarse siempre en las mismas condiciones: en ayunas,

después de haber ido al baño y sin ropa.

Tenga en cuenta que con la unidad de medida "stone" el valor no se muestra

con decimales. La lectura se divide en dos segmentos mediante dos puntos. A

la izquierda de los dos puntos se muestran exclusivamente números enteros

en la unidad de medida "st". El resto del peso se muestra a la derecha de los

dos puntos en la unidad de medida "lb".

Ejemplo: Visualización en pantalla "6: 8 st". Esto son 6 st y 8 lb.

7.2. Apagado automático

La báscula de baño dispone de apagado automático (Auto-Power-off). Después de mostrar el

resultado de la medición, la báscula de baño se apaga automáticamente.

8. Resolución de problemas

8.1. No se muestra nada en la pantalla LCD.

 Las pilas están gastadas. Cambie las pilas por pilas nuevas del mismo tipo. Tenga en cuenta

las indicaciones del capítulo "6.1 Colocación/cambio de las pilas".

 Las pilas están mal colocadas. Tenga en cuenta las indicaciones del capítulo "6.1

Colocación/cambio de las pilas".

8.2. En la pantalla LCD se visualiza "Lo" y la báscula se apaga.

 Las pilas están casi vacías. Cambie las pilas por pilas nuevas del mismo tipo. Tenga en

cuenta las indicaciones del capítulo "6.1 Colocación/cambio de las pilas".

8.3. En la pantalla LCD se visualiza "USEL" y la báscula se apaga.

 Ha ocurrido un error y la báscula de baño no puede medir el peso. En este caso, bájese de

la superficie (2) de la báscula de baño y vuelva a subirse. La medición de peso comenzará

nuevamente.

8.4. En la pantalla LCD se visualiza "Err".

 El peso supera la capacidad de carga máxima de 180 kg / 396 lb / 28,3 st. Debe bajarse

inmediatamente de la superficie (2) de la báscula para evitar dañarla.

9. Mantenimiento / Limpieza

Si la báscula de baño ha sido dañada, será necesario realizar tareas de mantenimiento, por ej. si

la carcasa del aparato está dañada, si han ingresado líquidos o cuerpos extraños en el interior de

la báscula de baño o si esta ha sido expuesta a lluvia o humedad. Las tareas de mantenimiento

también son necesarias si la báscula no funciona correctamente o se ha caído. Si detecta humo,

ruidos u olores extraños, retire inmediatamente las pilas de la báscula de baño. En estos casos, la

báscula de baño no debe seguir utilizándose hasta haber sido revisada por un técnico. Las tareas

de mantenimiento solo deben ser realizadas por personal técnico calificado. Nunca abra la

carcasa de la báscula de baño. Límpiela únicamente con un paño limpio y seco, nunca con

líquidos corrosivos.

10. Información medioambiental y datos para la eliminación

10.1. Eliminación del empaque

Clasifique el material de empaque antes de desecharlo. A continuación, deseche el

empaque a través de la empresa local de eliminación de residuos.

10.2. Eliminación de aparatos viejos

Los aparatos viejos no deben desecharse en la basura doméstica. Si en algún momento deja de

utilizar la báscula de baño, deséchela conforme a las normas vigentes en su lugar de residencia.

De esta manera se asegura el reciclado de los aparatos viejos evitando consecuencias negativas

para el medio ambiente.

Asegúrese de que la eliminación se realice conforme a las normativas locales y a las

recomendaciones EPA (www.epa.gov).

10.3. Eliminación de las pilas

Las pilas se deben quitar del aparato antes de desecharlo. Piense en la protección del medio

ambiente. Las pilas usadas no forman parte de la basura doméstica. Deben ser llevadas a un

depósito de pilas usadas. Tenga en cuenta que las pilas solo deben ser colocadas en los depósitos

estando descargadas; con las pilas que no estén completamente descargadas se deben tomar las

medidas necesarias para evitar cortocircuitos.

11. Consejos de la FCC (Comisión Federal de Comunicaciones)

Este aparato cumple con el apartado 15 del reglamento FCC. Su operación está sujeta a las

siguientes dos condiciones:

(1) este aparato no debe causar interferencias perjudiciales y

(2) este aparato debe permitir la recepción de cualquier tipo de interferencia, incluyendo aquellas

que puedan ocasionar un funcionamiento indeseado.

Tenga en cuenta que los cambios o modificaciones que no hayan sido explícitamente aprobados

por la parte responsable del cumplimiento de las normas aplicables podrían invalidar la autoridad

del usuario para utilizar el aparato.

12. Garantía

¿Lo que cubre la presente garantía?

La garantía incluye:

 Daños, quebraduras o incapacidad para funcionar debido a defectos.

 Daños que no se expliquen por el desgaste propio del uso o al seguir las instrucciones de

seguridad y mantención incluidas en el manual para el usuario.

¿Lo que no cubre esta garantía?

La garantía no cubre daños causados por:

 El desgaste propio del uso del producto, incluidas las partes frágiles (como interruptores,

piezas de vidrio, etc.).

 Uso o transporte no indicado del producto.

 Desatención a las instrucciones de seguridad y mantención.

 Accidentes o causas de fuerza mayor (e.g. relámpagos, incendio, inundación, etc.).

 Falsificación o alteración del producto (retirar la cubierta, tornillos, etc.).

¿Período de cobertura y resolución de la garantía?

La garantía es válida por 3 número de años a partir de la fecha de compra. La empresa, según lo

estime conveniente, devolverá el dinero o repondrá el producto.

La empresa no:

 Dará inicio a un nuevo período de garantía al hacerse el cambio del producto.

 Realizará reparación del producto.
