1. General Information

Congratulations on your purchase of the Velmia® Premium Motorcycle

Cover! These instructions contain important information on the use and

care of your new cover.

When used correctly, this cover will help protect your motorcycle from the

damaging eects of the sun and harsh weather for many years. It is ideal

for indoor and outdoor storage, plus it provides a visual barrier to curious

eyes. (Bear in mind that the cover does not protect against the loss or theft

of the motorcycle or the cover itself, and we are not liable for any such

occurrences.)

The outer layer’s unique fabric reduces premature aging caused by dirt,

rain, and harmful UV rays. The soft inner ﬂeece layer will not damage the

paint job or chrome surfaces of your motorcycle if it is kept free from dirt

and debris.

Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference, and please

pass them along to the next lucky owner of your Velmia Premium Motor-

cycle Cover.

3. Important Safety Information

The manufacturer is not liable for death, injury, or damage to the product or

motorcycle when using this product in the following cases:

• Faulty assembly or installation.

• Installation over freshly painted, sealed, waxed, or otherwise chemi-

cally treated motorcycles.

• Damage to the product resulting from heat or mechanical eects.

• Alterations to the product without express permission from the ma-

nufacturer.

• Use for purposes other than those described in this instruction ma-

nual.

• Failure to follow any instructions in this instruction manual.

Understanding Signal Words

A signal word will identify safety messages and property damage messa-

ges and will indicate the degree or level of hazard seriousness:

• Avoid placing the cover over wet motorcycle parts as the trapped

moisture can cause corrosion on motorcycle parts.

• Make sure the cover has at least four inches (10 centimeters) of

ground clearance to allow optimal air circulation.

• When installing the cover, be aware of sharp edges and corners on

the motorcycle which could potentially cut or tear the cover.

Important Safety Instructions

• SUFFOCATION HAZARD: Keep the cover away from children; never

use it as a tent or similar item. Keep plastic wrap or other packaging

materials away from infants and children.

• FIRE HAZARD: Never place the cover over a hot motorcycle that has

parts with a temperature exceeding 575 °F (300 °C). Do not burn the

cover. Keep it away from open ﬁre and open ﬂame.

• INJURY OR CRASH HAZARD: Do not use the cover while riding or

when towing your motorcycle, as this will prevent you from operating

all the motorcycle controls (e. g. brake lever, gear lever).

• INJURY OR CRASH HAZARD: Do not use the cover while transporting

your motorcycle on an open trailer, open truck bed, or similar carrier.

4. The cover has elastic hems at the front and back (illustration no. 4); pull

the elastic hems over the front and rear tires of your motorcycle.

5. OPTIONAL: If you are parking in a public area, check to make sure your

license plate is visible through the license plate window (illustration no. 8).

6. Tighten the front, middle and rear securing straps to ﬁt (illustration no.

5). Be careful not to pull too tightly as this may cause the cover to tear. If

necessary, use additional securing straps to reduce the possibility of the

cover ﬂuttering in the wind.

7. At the front of the cover, there are two reinforced openings for an option-

al locking mechanism (illustration no. 6). To secure your motorcycle with

the cover installed, slide your lock through one of the openings, through

your motorcycle, and out of the other so that both your motorcycle and the

cover are secured.

8. Removing the cover is the reverse of the above process. Remove the

cover completely before riding the motorcycle.

4. Instructions for Use

(Refer to the illustration on page 4)

1. Remove the cover from the storage bag included in the kit.

2. Unfold the cover completely.

3. Place the unfolded cover over your motorcycle from the front and above,

then pull the cover down at all four corners. The „FRONT“ and „BACK“ la-

bels sewn to the inside of the cover indicate the front and rear sides of the

cover. Do NOT install the cover backwards.

NOTICE SNAG HAZARDS: Avoid catching the cover

on mirrors, muer ends, shifters, brake le-

vers, foot pegs and antennae. Failure to use

care around these wear points could result in

a tear or puncture of the cover.

5. General Notes

Failure to obey the following instructions could

result in property damage to the cover or your

motorcycle:

• This cover is approved for use with two-wheeled motorcycles only.

Do not use this cover with other vehicles, equipment, or objects.

• This cover is a universal product that is not speciﬁcally designed for

a particular motorcycle. It is available in sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL.

Consult your motorcycle owner’s manual for speciﬁcations or check

the sizing chart on our website at www.velmia.com/cover, or you can

email us at [email protected]. If in doubt, consult a specialist or a pro-

fessional repair shop.

• Although the cover is equipped with heat-resistant fabric near the

exhaust area, never place the cover over a motorcycle with parts hot-

ter than 575 °F (300 °C). The heat-resistant areas of the cover do not

have the soft inner ﬂeece applied to them; if any hot parts of your

motorcycle do not line up with these areas, allow your motorcycle to

cool down completely before installing the cover.

• Avoid direct sunlight whenever possible; park your covered motorcy-

cle in the shade.

• Always park your covered motorcycle so that it is sheltered from the

wind. Do not use the cover at higher wind speeds, as this may cause

your motorcycle to tip over.

• Do not use the cover for covering your motorcycle while it is trailered

or in the back of a ﬂatbed, trailer, open truck bed, or similar open

carrier because this cover is not designed for it. Doing so will void

the warranty.

• Make sure that the motorcycle’s headlights are switched o before

you install the cover.

• Avoid placing the cover over a dirty motorcycle. Sand and dirt trapped

between the cover and motorcycle parts can cause scratches on the

motorcycle.

• Do not use the cover on freshly painted, polished, sealed or other-

wise chemically treated vehicle parts. Solvents can take up to six

months to evaporate after application, and when trapped under the

cover, the gases can damage the cover and the motorcycle. This is

particularly important for new motorcycles, which often need a curing

time of several months.

• In cases of extreme heat, polycarbonate windscreens or headlights

may be damaged due to the heat trapped under the cover. Use care

when using the cover on a motorcycle equipped with such compo-

nents.

• In the event of extreme outside temperature ﬂuctuations, uncover the

motorcycle at regular intervals to avoid condensation.

• Do not modify or alter this cover in any way. Any alterations to this

product will void the warranty.

• Check the cover for damage after each use and replace the cover

when necessary. For questions and problems, please contact techni-

6. Care and Cleaning

Your cover needs very little maintenance. To maximize the lifespan of the

cover, wipe o normal dirt and grime with a soft towel. Clean with clear,

lukewarm water only. Make sure that the inner surfaces of the cover are

always kept clean. Before each use, check that the surfaces touching the

motorcycle are clean.

For a light hand wash, place the cover on your vehicle and clean it with a

clean, damp cloth only. Never use detergents or other cleaning agents.

Avoid cleaning the cover with petroleum-based products, harsh deter-

gents, grease, or other chemicals. Do not use mineral oil for cleaning.

Place the cover over a clothesline outdoors or in a suitable location to

air-dry; do NOT wring or twist the cover to remove excess moisture. Do not

machine-wash or machine-dry the cover.

Although the cover is protected with UV-inhibitors, the cover may fade in

direct sunlight after continuous use. This is normal wear.

7. Storing the Cover

You received a storage bag for the cover. Before storing the cover, make

sure it is clean and completely dry before placing it in the storage bag. To

ﬁt your cover into the bag, do not simply stu it in; carefully fold it ﬂat and

then roll it tightly together. Never store the cover in a conﬁned space, as

this can lead to damage from mold.

8. Disposal

Disposal of Packaging: Please recycle the product packaging in the ap-

propriate recycling bins (if available).

Disposal of the Cover: The cover consists of valuable raw materials that

can be recycled. Do not dispose of the cover with household waste; recy-

cle it in an appropriate recycling bin (if available).

9. Warranty

The Velmia Premium Motorcycle Cover is warrantied for two years from

the date of purchase. During that period, we guarantee every initial buyer

that the cover is free of material and manufacturing defects, and we will

repair or replace any cover that is found to be defective. If you ﬁnd a defect

during that time, immediately notify us by email: [email protected]. Warranty

claims due to natural wear and tear are excluded, including stains caused

by dirt or pollutants and reasonable color loss of the cover over time. Be

aware that all warranty periods will expire if the cover is not used for its in-

tended purpose or damaged due to weather conditions. This also applies

if modiﬁcations and/or alterations are made to the cover or if the cover is

used in a way other than described in these operating instructions. We

accept no liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by

improper handling or nonobservance of these instructions for use. In such

cases, the warranty claim is void. The cover must be used appropriately

and maintained from the time of purchase. It is therefore essential that

you follow the warnings and safety information given in these operating

instructions as well as the care instructions for the cover.

¡Felicidades por comprar la Funda Premium para Motocicletas Velmia®! Es-

tas instrucciones contienen información importante sobre el uso y cuidado

de su nueva funda.

Si se usa correctamente, esta funda le ayudará a proteger su motocicleta

4. La funda tiene dobladillos elásticos en la parte delantera y trasera (ilustración

n.°4); jale los dobladillos elásticos sobre las ruedas delantera y trasera de su

motocicleta.

5. OPCIONAL: Si está estaciona en un área pública, asegúrese de que su placa

de matrícula se vea a través de la ventana para la placa de matrícula (ilustración

n.° 8).

6. Tense las correas de ﬁjación delantera, central y trasera para ajustarlas (ilus-

tración n.° 5). Tenga cuidado de no jalar demasiado, ya que eso puede causar

que se desgarre la funda. Si es necesario, use correas de seguridad adiciona-

les para reducir la posibilidad de que la funda aletee con el viento.

7. En la parte delantera de la funda, hay dos aberturas reforzadas para un me-

canismo de ﬁjación opcional (ilustración n.° 6). Para proteger su motocicleta

con la funda instalada, deslice la traba por medio de una de las aberturas, a

través de su motocicleta y hacia afuera por el otro lado para que su motocicleta

y la funda queden ﬁjadas.

8. La funda se retira con el proceso anterior a la inversa. Saque la funda com-

pletamente antes de conducir la motocicleta.

4. Instrucciones de uso

1. Retire la funda de la bolsa de almacenamiento que se incluye en el kit.

2. Despliegue la funda por completo.

3. Ponga la funda desplegada sobre su motocicleta desde la parte delan-

tera y superior, después jale de la funda hacia abajo en las cuatro esqui-

nas. Las etiquetas “FRONT (Lado delantero)” y “BACK (Lado trasero)” co-

sidas en la funda indican los lados delantero y trasero de la funda. NO

instale la funda al revés.

AVISO RIESGO DE ENGANCHE: Evite atrapar la funda en los

espejos, extremos de los silenciadores, cambiadores,

palancas de frenos, pedales y antenas. No tener cuida

5. Notas generales

ruedas. No use esta funda en otros vehículos, equipos u objetos.

• Esta funda es un producto universal que no está diseñado para una

motocicleta en particular. Está disponible en los tamaños S, M, L, XL

• Aunque la funda está equipada con tela resistente al calor cerca del

puesta en una plataforma, remolque, plataforma abierta de camión o

algún transporte similar, puesto que la funda no está diseñada para

ello. El hacer esto anulará la garantía.

• Cerciórese de que las luces de la motocicleta estén apagadas antes

de instalar la funda.

• Evite poner la funda sobre una motocicleta sucia. La arena y el polvo

atrapados entre la funda y la motocicleta pueden provocar rayaduras

en la motocicleta.

• No use la funda sobre piezas del vehículo recién pintadas, lustradas,

selladas o tratadas químicamente de cualquier otra forma. Los sol-

ventes pueden tardar hasta seis meses en evaporarse tras una apli-

cación y, cuando se atrapan bajo la funda, los gases pueden dañar

la funda y la motocicleta. Esto es especialmente importante para las

motocicletas nuevas, que suelen tener un tiempo de secado de vari-

os meses.

• En casos de calor extremo, los parabrisas de policarbonato o las

luces pueden dañarse con el calor atrapado bajo la funda. Tenga

cuidado al usar la funda en una motocicleta equipada con estos com-

ponentes.

• En caso de ﬂuctuaciones de temperatura extremas, destape la moto-

cicleta a intervalos regulares para evitar la condensación.

• Revise la funda después de cada uso para ver si tiene daño y re-

6. Cuidado y limpieza

Su funda requiere muy poco mantenimiento. Para maximizar la vida útil

de la funda, limpie la suciedad normal con una toalla suave. Límpiela solo

con agua limpia y tibia. Cerciórese de que las superﬁcies internas de la

funda se mantengan siempre limpias. Antes de cada uso, veriﬁque que las

superﬁcies que tocan la motocicleta estén limpias.

Para un lavado ligero a mano, ponga la funda sobre su vehículo y límpiela

solo con un paño húmedo y limpio. No use nunca detergentes u otros

agentes de limpieza. Evite limpiar la funda con productos derivados del

petróleo, detergentes abrasivos, grasa u otros químicos. No use aceite

mineral para la limpieza. Ponga la funda sobre un tendedero a la intem-

perie o en una ubicación adecuada para que se seque al aire; NO exprima

o tuerza la funda para quitar el exceso de humedad. No lave ni seque la

funda en lavadora o secadora.

Aunque la funda está protegida con materiales y capas que inhiben los

rayos UV, la funda puede desteñirse con la luz directa del sol después del

uso continuo. Esto es desgaste normal.

7. Almacenamiento de la funda

Recibió un bolso de almacenamiento para la funda. Antes de almacenar

la funda, asegúrese de que esté limpia y completamente seca antes de

ponerla en el bolso de almacenamiento. Para que su funda quepa en

el bolso, no la meta descuidadamente; dóblela con cuidado y enróllela

ajustadamente. No almacene nunca la funda en un espacio encerrado, ya

que esto puede causar daño por hongos.

8. Desecho

Desecho del embalaje: Recicle el material de embalaje del producto en

los contenedores de reciclaje adecuados (si los hubiera disponibles).

Desecho de la funda: La funda consta de materias primas valiosas que se

pueden reciclar. No deseche la funda en la basura doméstica; recíclela en

9. Garantía

La Funda Premium para Motocicletas Velmia tiene garantía por dos

años desde la fecha de compra. Durante ese período, garantizamos a

cada comprador inicial que la funda no tiene defectos de materiales ni

de fabricación, y que repararemos o reemplazaremos las fundas que se

consideren defectuosas. Si encuentra un defecto durante ese tiempo,

notifíquenos inmediatamente por correo electrónico: [email protected]. Se

excluyenlas reclamaciones de garantía por desgaste natural, entre las que

se incluyen las manchas causadas por suciedad contaminantes, y la pérdi-

da de color razonable de la funda a lo largo del tiempo. Tenga en cuenta

que todos los períodos de garantía expirarán si la funda no se usa para los

ﬁnes para los que fue diseñada o se daña por condiciones climáticas. Esto

también se aplica si se hacen modiﬁcaciones o alteraciones a la funda o

si se usa de una manera diferente a la que se describe en estas instruc-

ciones de funcionamiento. No aceptamos responsabilidad por daños a

la propiedad o lesiones personales causadas por una manipulación ina-

decuada o por no seguir estas instrucciones de uso. En estos casos, la

reclamación de garantía es nula. La funda debe usarse adecuadamente y

debe recibir mantenimiento desde el momento de la compra. Por lo tan-

to, es primordial que siga las advertencias y la información de seguridad

que se entrega en estas instrucciones de funcionamiento, además de las

instrucciones de cuidado de la funda.

1. Allgemeine Informationen

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Kauf der Velmia Motorrad Premium Abdeck-

plane! Diese Anleitung enthält wichtige Informationen über die Verwen-

dung und Pﬂege Ihrer neuen Abdeckplane.

Bei richtiger Anwendung schützt diese Abdeckplane Ihr Zweirad viele

Jahre lang vor den schädlichen Einﬂüssen der Sonne sowie dem rauen

Wetter. Die Abdeckplane ist ideal geeignet für den Innen- sowie Außenein-

satz und dient gleichzeitig als Sichtschutz. Beachten Sie, dass die Abdeck-

plane weder vor dem Verlust oder dem Diebstahl des Zweirads noch der

Abdeckplane selbst schützt (Wir sind weder für den Verlust oder Diebstahl

des Zweirads noch der Abdeckplane selbst verantwortlich, auch wenn die

Abdeckplane in Gebrauch ist).

Das einzigartig wetterbeständige Gewebe auf der Außenseite schützt Ihr

Zweirad vor vorzeitiger Alterung und damit Wertminderung durch Straßen-

schmutz, Regen, UV-Strahlen. Die lackschonende Struktur auf der Innen-

seite sorgt dafür, sofern Ihr Zweirad frei von Schmutz und Ablagerungen

gehalten wird, dass der Lack oder die Chromoberﬂächen Ihres Zweirads

vor Beschädigungen verschont bleiben.

Archivieren Sie diese Gebrauchsanleitung, sodass Sie zu einem späteren

Zeitpunkt erneut darin nachlesen können und geben Sie diese bitte an

• Legen Sie die Abdeckplane nicht über feuchte Zweiradteile, da die ein-

geschlossene Feuchtigkeit zu Korrosion an Zweiradbauteilen führen kann.

• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Abdeckplane eine Bodenfreiheit von mindestens 10

Zentimeter (4 Zoll) aufweist, um eine optimale Luftzirkulation zu gewährleisten.

• Seien Sie beim Überstülpen der Abdeckplane vorsichtig bei scharfen

Kanten und Ecken am Zweirad, da sich diese sonst in die Abdeckplane

einarbeiten könnten.

Warn- und Sicherheitshinweise

• ERSTICKUNGSGEFAHR: Halten Sie die Abdeckplane von Kindern fern. Ver-

wenden Sie die Abdeckplane niemals als Zelt oder ähnliches. Halten Sie Plas-

tikfolie oder andere Verpackungsmaterialien von Säuglingen und Kindern

fern.

• BRANDGEFAHR: Legen Sie die Abdeckplane niemals über heiße Zweirad-

teile, deren Temperatur heißer als 300 °C (575 °F) ist. Zünden Sie die Abdeck-

plane nicht an. Von oenen Flammen und brennenden Scheiten fernhalten.

• VERLETZUNGS- ODER ABSTURZGEFAHR: Verwenden Sie die Abdeckplane

nicht während der Fahrt oder beim Abschleppen Ihres Zweirads, da Sie da-

durch nicht alle Bedienelemente (z. B. Bremshebel, Schalthebel) Ihres Zwei-

rades bedienen können.

• VERLETZUNGS- ODER ABSTURZGEFAHR: Verwenden Sie die Abdeckplane

nicht zum Schutz des Zweirades während des Transportes auf einem oenen

Kraftfahrzeuganhänger, oenen LKW, Wohnmobil oder Ähnlichem.

4. An Vorderseite und Rückseite der Abdeckplane beﬁndet sich jeweils ein

Gummizug mit Stretch-Funktion (Abbildung Nr. 4). Legen Sie diese Gummizüge

an Vorderreifen und Hinterreifen Ihres Zweirades an.

5. Wenn Sie in einem öentlichen Bereich parken, überprüfen Sie, ob Ihr Num-

mernschild durch das Sichtfenster sichtbar ist (Abbildung Nr. 8).

6. Ziehen Sie den vorderen, mittleren und hinteren Befestigungsgurt (Abbil-

dung Nr. 5) auf die von Ihnen gewünschte Passform an. Achten Sie darauf, nicht

zu stra zu ziehen, da Sie sonst einen Riss in der Abdeckplane verursachen

könnten. Verwenden Sie bei Bedarf zusätzliche Sicherungsbänder, um das

Flattern der Abdeckplane bei Wind zu vermeiden.

7. An der Vorderseite der Abdeckplane beﬁnden sich insgesamt zwei Ver-

schlussönungen (Abbildung Nr. 6). Um Ihr Zweirad bei installierter Abdeck-

plane zu sichern, führen Sie Ihr Schloss einfach durch eine der Önungen, um

Ihr Zweirad und aus der anderen Önung heraus, sodass sowohl Ihr Zweirad

als auch Ihre Abdeckplane abgesichert sind.

8. Das Entfernen der Abdeckplane erfolgt in umgekehrter Reihenfolge der obi-

gen Anleitung. Entfernen Sie die Abdeckplane vollständig bevor Sie mit dem

Zweirad fahren.

4. Gebrauchsanleitung

(Siehe Abbildung auf Seite 24)

1. Entnehmen Sie die Abdeckplane der im Lieferumgang enthaltenen Aue-

wahrungstasche.

2. Falten Sie die Abdeckplane vollständig auseinander.

3. Stülpen Sie die auseinandergefaltete Abdeckplane von vorne und oben

über Ihr Zweirad und ziehen Sie die Abdeckplane an allen vier Ecken nach

unten. Die auf der Innenseite der Abdeckplane vernähten Labels „FRONT“ und

„BACK“ geben Auskunft darüber, was Vorderseite und Rückseite der Abdeck-

plane sind. Montieren Sie die Abdeckplane NICHT verkehrt herum.

HINWEIS Vermeiden Sie, dass die Abdeckplane beim Über-

ziehen an Spiegeln, Auspuenden, Schalthebeln,

Bremshebeln, Fußrasten oder Antennen hängen blei-

ben kann. Bei Nichtbeachtung kann es zu einem Riss

oder einer Beschädigung der Abdeckplane kommen.

5. Allgemeine Hinweise

Die Nichtbeachtung der folgenden Anweiwsungen

kann zu Sachschäden an der Abdeckplane oder

ihrem Zweirad führen:

• Die Abdeckplane ist ausschließlich für die Anbringung an zweirädrige

Motorräder freigegeben. Die Verwendung an anderen Fahrzeugen,

Geräten oder Gegenständen ist unzulässig.

• Beachten Sie, dass es sich bei dieser Abdeckplane um ein universell

einsetzbares Produkt ohne speziﬁsche Fahrzeugzuordnung handelt.

Die Abdeckplane ist in den Größen S, M, L, XL und XXL erhältlich.

Um die für Ihr Zweirad am besten geeignete Größe zu bestimmen,

entnehmen Sie die Maße Ihres Zweirads aus dessen Betriebsanlei-

tung. Wir bieten Ihnen zudem eine Größenempfehlung auf unserer

Website unter www.velmia.de/abdeckplane oder per E-Mail unter

[email protected] an.

• Obwohl die Abdeckplane in der Nähe des Auspubereichs mit hi-

tzebeständigem Textil ausgestattet ist, legen Sie die Abdeckplane

niemals über heiße Zweiradteile, deren Temperatur heißer als 300

°C (575 °F) ist. Die hitzebeständigen Bereiche der Abdeckplane sind

nicht mit dem lackschonendem Innenmaterial versehen. Sollten sich

die heißen Zweiradteile Ihres Zweirads nicht in diesen Bereichen

beﬁnden, so legen Sie die Abdeckplane niemals über heiße Zwei-

radteile, sondern lassen Sie Ihr Zweirad nach Betrieb vollständig ab-

kühlen.

• Vermeiden Sie möglichst eine direkte Sonneneinstrahlung und stel-

len Sie Ihr abgedecktes Zweirad im Schatten ab.

• Stellen Sie Ihr abgedecktes Zweirad grundsätzlich windgeschützt ab

bzw. verzichten Sie bei höheren Windgeschwindigkeiten auf die Ver-

wendung der Abdeckplane.

• Verwenden Sie die Abdeckplane nicht zum Schutz Ihres Zweirads

während es abgeschleppt wird oder während des Transportes auf

einem oenen Kraftfahrzeuganhänger, oenen LKW, Wohnmobil oder

Ähnlichem. Diese Abdeckplane ist dafür nicht bestimmt. Andernfalls

erlischt die Garantie.

• Beachten Sie, dass die Scheinwerfer ausgeschaltet sind, bevor Sie

die Abdeckplane über Ihr Zweirad stülpen.

• Beachten Sie, die Abdeckplane nicht über ein verschmutztes Zwei-

rad zu stülpen. Sand und Schmutz zwischen Abdeckplane und Zwei-

radteile können Kratzer am Zweirad verursachen.

• Beachten Sie, die Abdeckplane nicht bei frisch lackierten, polierten,

versiegelten oder auf andere Art chemisch behandelten Fahrzeugtei-

len zu benutzen. Häuﬁg dafür verwendete Lösungsmittel dünsten bis

zu 6 Monate nach dem Auringen aus. Diese Gase können, wenn

sie unter der Abdeckplane eingeschlossen sind, die Abdeckplane

und das Zweirad schädigen. Dies ist besonders bei Neufahrzeugen

zu beachten, da diese oft eine Aushärtezeit von mehreren Monaten

benötigen.

• Bei extremer Hitze können Windschutzscheiben oder Scheinwerfer

aus Polycarbonat durch die unter der Abdeckplane eingeschlossene

Hitze beschädigt werden. Achten Sie darauf, wenn Sie die Abdeck-

plane an einem Zweirad verwenden, welches mit solchen Kompo-

nenten ausgestattet ist.

• Beachten Sie, dass es bei starken Temperaturschwankungen emp-

fehlenswert ist, das Zweirad in regelmäßigen Abständen kurzweilig

abzudecken, um Kondensation zu vermeiden.

• Beachten Sie, dass jegliche Form einer Modiﬁkation der Abdeckplane

unzulässig ist. Ein Gewährleistungsanspruch ist nach einem unsach-

gemäßen Gebrauch (d. h. Modiﬁkation des Produktes, Nichteinhalten

der Warnhinweise in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung) nicht mehr gege-

ben.

• Überprüfen Sie die Abdeckplane nach jedem Gebrauch auf Beschä-

digungen und tauschen Sie die Abdeckplane bei Bedarf aus. Bei Fra-

gen und Problemen können Sie sich dazu an unser Technikcenter

unter der E-Mail: [email protected] wenden.

6. Pﬂege und Reinigung

Ihre Abdeckplane benötigt nur sehr wenig Wartung. Für eine maximale Nut-

zungsdauer der Abdeckplane wischen Sie normalen Schmutz mit einem wei-

chen Tuch ab. Nur mit klarem, lauwarmem Wasser reinigen. Achten Sie darauf,

dass die Innenﬂächen der Abdeckplane immer sauber gehalten werden. Über-

prüfen Sie vor jedem Gebrauch, ob die Oberﬂächen, die das Zweirad berühren,

sauber sind. Für eine leichte Handwäsche legen Sie die Abdeckplane auf Ihr

Zweirad und reinigen diese ausschließlich mit einem sauberen, feuchten Tuch.

Benutzen Sie keinesfalls Wasch- oder sonstige Reinigungsmittel. Vermeiden

Sie bei der Reinigung der Abdeckplane zudem petroleumhaltige Stoe wie

mineralische Öle und Fette sowie scharfe Reiniger oder sonstige Chemikalien.

Legen Sie die Abdeckplane zum Trocknen über eine Wäscheleine im Freien

bzw. in dafür vorgesehene Räume. Wringen oder verdrehen Sie die Abdeck-

plane NICHT um überschüssige Feuchtigkeit zu entfernen. Die Abdeckplane

darf nicht in der Maschine gewaschen oder im Wäschetrockner getrocknet

werden. Obwohl die Abdeckplane mit einer UV-Beschichtung geschützt ist,

kann die Abdeckplane nach längerem Gebrauch unter direkter Sonnenein-

strahlung verblassen. Das ist normaler Verschleiß.

7. Auewahrung der Abdeckplane

Zur Abdeckplane selbst erhalten Sie eine Auewahrungstasche. Benutzen Sie

die Abdeckplane über eine längere Zeit nicht, so lassen Sie diese unbedingt

vollständig abtrocknen, bevor Sie die Abdeckplane verpacken bzw. beiseitele-

gen. Stellen Sie zudem sicher, dass Sie die Abdeckplane ausschließlich ohne

Verschmutzung verpacken bzw. beiseitelegen. Damit Ihre Abdeckplane in die

Tasche passt, falten Sie die Abdeckplane und rollen Sie diese eng zusammen,

anstatt diese hineinzustopfen. Die Abdeckplane keinesfalls in feuchtem Zu-

stand in die Tasche packen oder auf beengtem Raum lagern, da dies zur Be-

schädigung der Abdeckplane durch Schimmel führen kann.

8. Entsorgung

Verpackung entsorgen: Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung sortenrein. Geben Sie

die Pappe und Karton zum Altpapier, Folien in die Wertstosammlung.

Entsorgung Abdeckplane: Die Abdeckplane besteht aus wertvollen Rohstof-

fen, die wiederverwendet werden können. Entsorgen Sie die Abdeckplane

nicht mit dem Hausmüll, sondern führen Sie diese der Wertstosammlung zu.

9. Gewährleistung

Auf Funktion der Abdeckplane besteht ein Gewährleistungsanspruch von zwei

Jahren ab Kaufdatum. Wir garantieren jedem Erstkäufer, dass die Abdeckplane

während dieser zwei Jahre frei von Material- und Verarbeitungsfehlern ist und

reparieren oder ersetzen jede Abdeckplane, die nach einer Analyse durch uns

als fehlerhaft gilt. Bei festgestellten Mängeln reklamieren Sie die Abdeckplane

unverzüglich bei unserem Technikcenter unter der E-Mail: [email protected].

Ein Gewährleistungsanspruch aufgrund natürlicher Abnutzung ist dabei aus-

geschlossen, einschließlich Flecken durch Schmutz oder Schadstoe und mit

der Zeit der Nutzung entstandenen angemessenen Farbverluste der Abdeck-

plane. Beachten Sie, dass alle Gewährleistungsfristen ungültig werden, sollte

die Abdeckplane aufgrund von Witterungseinﬂüssen beschädigt oder zweck-

entfremdet werden. Dies gilt auch, wenn Veränderungen an der Abdeckplane

vorgenommen werden oder die Abdeckplane anders als in dieser Gebrauchs-

anleitung beschrieben verwendet wird. Bei Sach- oder Personenschäden, die

durch unsachgemäße Handhabung oder Nichtbeachten dieser Gebrauchsan-

leitung verursacht werden, übernehmen wir keine Haftung. In solchen Fällen

erlischt der Gewährleistungsanspruch. Die Abdeckplane muss ab dem Zeit-

punkt des Kaufs ordnungsgemäß genutzt und gewartet werden. Hierfür ist es

unbedingt notwendig, dass Sie die in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung genannten

Warn- und Sicherheitshinweise sowie Hinweise zur Pﬂege der Abdeckplane

befolgen.
