JCS, at its option, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product. Doing so will void this warranty. This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance. JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty. This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than JCS or an authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God, such as fire, flood, hurricanes and tornadoes. What are the limits on JCS’s Liability? JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express, implied or statutory warranty or condition. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty. JCS disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express, implied, statutory or otherwise. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip). 15. When unplugging, be sure to pull by the plug and not the cord. 16. This heater may include an audible alarm to warn that parts of the heater are getting excessively hot. CLEANING / MAINTENANCE TROUBLESHOOTING F E AT U R E S - O P E R AT I O N S Technical specifications • Amps: 12.5 • Wattage: 1500W (+5% -10%) • Working voltage: 120V AC/60Hz OPERATIng INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place heater on firm level surface. 2. Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high wattage appliances in the same outlet. At 1500 Watts, this unit draws 12.5 Amps. Mode Settings 1. To start the heater operation, turn the Thermostat Control clockwise all the way to the highest setting. 2. Switch the Selector to your desired heat settings: LO - Low Heat The heater will run continuously at 750W. HI - High Heat The heater will run continuously at 1500W. 3. The Power Light will remain lit during operation. Thermostat Control 1. Turn the Thermostat Control clockwise to the highest position to start heater. Allow heater to operate and warm up the room. 2. When the desired temperature/comfort level is reached, lower the temperature setting by turning the Thermostat Control counter-clockwise until the heater stops operating. 3. The thermostat will now automatically maintain the pre-set temperature level by turning the heater ON and OFF. NOTE: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit from cycling, raise the temperature setting. Figure 1 C A B D A. La luz indicadora permanecerá encendida durante toda la operación. Control del termostato 1. Para encender el calentador, se debe girar el control del termostato en el sentido de las agujas del reloj hasta alcanzar la posición más alta. Permitir que la estufa caliente la habitación. 2. Cuando se alcance la temperatura ambiental deseada, baje la configuración de la temperatura girando el control del termostato en el sentido contrario al de las agujas del reloj hasta que el calentador deje de funcionar. 3. Para que el control mantenga automáticamente la temperatura así programada, girar el control a ON y OFF. NOTA: Es normal que la estufa se encienda y se apague automáticamente para mantener la temperatura programada. Para evitarlo, programar a una temperatura más alta. Figura 1 C A B D A. Clean the unit with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap and water solution. 2. NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean the unit. 3. After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel. 4. Store heater in a cool, dry location. 5. It is recommended that you store the unit in its original carton. If your heater fails to operate: AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF WITH TIPOVER PROTECTION This heater is equipped with a Total Safety System with tip-over protection that will shut-off the heater in an overheat situation. Tip-Over Shut Off: When the unit is accidentally knocked over, it will shut off. To reset, simply place the heater in an upright position. Audible Safety Alert: This heater includes an audible alarm to warn that parts of the heater are getting excessively hot. If the alarm sounds, immediately turn the heater off and inspect for any objects on or adjacent to the heater that may cause high temperatures. DO NOT OPERATE THE HEATER WITH THE ALARM SOUNDING. Overheat Shut-Off: When a potential overheat temperature is reached, the system will shut the heater off. Make sure heater is clear of all obstructions. Heater will resume operation when it is clear of obstructions and has had a chance to cool down. RESET INSTRUCTIONS: This unit is equipped with an automatic reset feature. If the unit shuts off, wait for it to cool down (30 minutes). When cool, the unit will automatically restart. • UNPLUG THE UNIT and make sure the heater is placed in an upright position • Make sure the electrical outlet or circuit breaker is working. • Check for obstructions. If you find an obstruction turn the heater OFF, and unplug the unit. Carefully remove the obstruction and follow the reset instructions. • The temperature may be set too low. Turn the thermostat knob clockwise until the heater restarts. Please DO NOT attempt to open or repair the heater. Autoapagado por volcadura : Esta estufa se apagará si se vuelca accidentalmente. Para reactivar la estufa, simplemente colocarla de pie en una superficie nivelada. Alarma sonora de seguridad: Este calentador incluye una alarma sonora para advertir que determinadas piezas están tomando demasiado calor. Si suena la alarma, apague el calentador de inmediato y verifique si hay objetos en el calentador o cercanos a él que pudieran causar temperaturas elevadas. NO UTILICE EL calentador SI LA ALARMA ESTÁ SONANDO. Autoapagado por recalentamiento : Cuando se llegue a una temperatura que podría causar un recalentamiento, el calentador se apagará. El calentador reanudará el funcionamiento cuando no tenga obstrucciones y haya tenido la oportunidad de enfriarse. Instrucciones para reactivación: Esta unidad está equipada con un dispositivo de reactivación automática. Si la unidad se apagase, esperar 30 minutos para que se enfríe. Después que la unidad se enfríe arrancará automáticamente. DIAGNOSTICO DE PROBLEMAS Si su calentador no funciona: • DESENCHUFE LA UNIDAD y asegúrese de que el calentador esté en posición vertical. • Asegúrese de que el tomacorriente o llave térmica funcionen correctamente. • Verifique que no haya ninguna obstrucción.
