READ AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

The following safety guidelines are intended to prevent unforeseen risks

or damage from unsafe or incorrect operation of the appliance.

The guidelines are separated into ‘WARNING’ and ‘CAUTION’ as

described below.

This symbol is displayed to indicate matters and operations

that can cause risk. Read the text marked with this symbol

carefully and follow the instructions in order to avoid risk.

WARNING

This indicates that failure to follow the instructions can cause

serious injury or death.

CAUTION

This indicates that failure to follow the instructions can cause minor

injury or damage to the product.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

To reduce the risk of explosion, fire, death, electric shock,

injury or scalding to persons when using this product, follow

basic precautions, including the following:

Children in the Household

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of

experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision

or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person

responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure

that they do not play with the appliance.

Installation

• Do not install the appliance on an uneven or inclined surface.

• Do not install the appliance in an area exposed to direct sunlight or

near heat-generating equipment.

• Do not install the product in a place where combustible gas may leak

or industrial oil or metallic particulates are present.

• Do not allow the appliance to push against the power cord or plug.

• Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.

• When unplugging the power cord, always pull it by the plug.

• Unplug the appliance during thunder or lightning storms or when not

in use for a long time.

• Do not bend the power cable excessively or place a heavy object on

top of it.

• Do not extend the length of the power cable or alter it.

• Do not use several devices on a multi-socket extension outlet.

• Make the connection securely so that screw in terminals may not be

loosened when the cable is pulled.

• Make sure that the power cable cannot be pulled out or damaged

during operation.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the

manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to

avoid a hazard.

• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the

other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to

fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in

the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified

electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Operation

• If the appliance is immersed in water, stop using it and contact the LG

Electronics Customer Information Center.

• If there is a gas leakage (isobutane, propane, LNG, etc.), do not

touch the product or power plug and ventilate the area immediately.

• Do not clean the appliance with brushes, clothes or sponges which

are abrasive or made of metal.

• If you detect any abnormal noise, odor or smoke, unplug the product

immediately and contact an LG Electronics Customer Information

Center.

• Only an authorized repair person should disassemble, repair, or

modify the appliance.

• Do not use or store fire, combustibles (ether, benzene, alcohol,

drugs, propane, butane, combustible spray, insecticide, air freshener,

cosmetics, etc.) or flammable materials (candles, lamps, etc.) near

the product.

• Do not place the power cord under rugs, carpeting or mats.

• Do not allow animals or pets to chew on the power cord.

• Do not move the appliance when it is in operation.

• Do not hit the appliance.

• Do not insert hands or metal objects into the air inlet or outlet.

• Do not install and use broken parts.

• Do not put flammables into the appliance.

• Do not move or operate the appliance while its cover is open.

• Do not allow children to climb on or play with the appliance.

• Do not place anything on top of the appliance.

• The fan is not a toy. It should not be played with or placed where

young children can reach it.

Maintenance

• Dispose of the packing materials (vinyl, styrofoam, etc.) to keep them

out of reach of children.

• Take care not to injure or pinch yourself when you detach and

reattach parts of the appliance.

• Turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it or replacing the

filter.

Battery

• A button/coin-shaped battery is used in the remote controller of the

appliance. If you accidentally swallow the battery, consult a doctor

immediately for emergency treatment. If you fail to receive first aid

within 2 hours after you swallow the battery, you may experience

damage to your internal organs or death in severe cases.

• Do not swallow the battery.

• If the battery tray is not secured firmly, stop using the remote

immediately and keep it away from children.

CAUTION

To reduce the risk of minor injury to persons, malfunction, or

damage to the product or property when using this product,

follow basic precautions, including the following:

Installation

• Do not tilt the appliance to pull or push it when transporting.

• Do not install the appliance in a vehicle, RV, or marine vessel.

• Do not place the appliance near a TV or stereo equipment.

• Do not place the appliance under bright light.

• The appliance must be installed in accordance with national wiring

regulations.

• When moving or storing the appliance, wrap the power cord around

the base of the appliance to prevent personal injury, damage to the

cord or damage to floors.

• Do not place the appliance near curtains.

Operation

• Do not use the product for removal of toxic gas such as carbon

monoxide.

• Do not use the product for ventilation purposes.

• Do not use the appliance for a long time in a region with unstable

voltage.

• Do not place obstacles around the air inlet or outlet.

• For safe use of the appliance, children or others with reduced

mental capabilities need to be closely monitored by a person who is

responsible for their safety.

• Do not use the product for special purposes such as preserving

plants, precision instruments, artworks, etc.

• Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.

• Do not let the moisture from a humidifier directly touch the appliance.

• Do not use the appliance while it is not in an upright position.

• Do not use the appliance near objects vulnerable to heat.

• Do not use detergents, cosmetics, chemicals, air fresheners, or

disinfectants in the appliance.

• Do not touch any internal parts while the unit is operating or

immediately after operation.

• Use the filter only for its intended purpose.

• The Deodorizing Care filter and True HEPA filter are assembled

together. Do not try to detach them from each other.

• Do not insert any objects into the clean booster.

• Do not operate the product while the clean booster cover and grille

are separated.

• Do not insert hands or metal objects into the moving parts of the

clean booster.

• Do not press multiple buttons at the same time on the remote

controller.

• Do not kick or step on the remote controller.

• Do not use the remote controller near water or in areas with high

humidity.

• Do not expose the remote controller to fire or high temperatures.

Maintenance

• Do not use strong detergents or solvents to clean the product. Use a

soft cloth to clean.

• Do not clean the appliance with an alkaline detergent.

• Do not wipe the appliance surface using sulfuric acid, hydrochloric

acid or organic solvents (thinner, kerosene etc.) or attach a sticker on

the appliance.

• Do not allow water inside the appliance.

• Do not wash the filter with water.

• Be careful not to damage the ultra-fine filter when cleaning it with a

vacuum cleaner.

• Do not disassemble the clean booster.

Battery

• Do not modify the battery.

• An improperly installed battery may cause an explosion.

• Do not recharge or take apart the battery.

• Do not dispose of the battery by placing it in a fire, or expose it to

high temperatures.

• Remove and store the battery in a safe location if you don’t intend to

use the remote controller for a long time.

Unpacking the Appliance

Unpack the appliance and remove any packing

tape or vinyl before using the appliance.

Removing the Filter Packaging

1 Remove the rear cover by gently pulling the

top of the cover at the sides until it separates

from the appliance. Lift the cover to remove it

from the base.

• The rear cover has “PM1.0 & GAS

SENSOR” printed on it.

2 Remove and dispose of the cardboard support

piece (a) located by the filter inlet.

3 Slide the filter out and remove it from its

packaging.

4 Install the filter in the appliance.

• Make sure that the handle Insert space

before parenthesis. (a) is at the top of the

filter.

5 Insert the tabs at the bottom of the cover into

the slots in the base of the appliance and

close the cover.

NOTE

• Remove the support and packaging prior to use

to prevent product malfunction.

• Install the filter with the handle at the top to

avoid product malfunction or failure.

Installation Location

Allow a 3 1/4 ft (1 m) clearance between the

appliance and surrounding surfaces or objects.

The air inlet needs space to function properly.

The performance of the appliance may differ

depending on surrounding conditions such as

temperature and humidity.

• 40–70 % humidity is recommended for optimal

performance.

Transportation Requirements

Transporting the Appliance

When moving or storing the appliance, wrap the

power cord around the base of the appliance to

prevent personal injury, damage to the cord or

damage to floors.

Do not hold the outer cover when you carry the

appliance. The cover may open accidentally,

causing the appliance to drop. Dropping the

appliance may cause personal injury or appliance

malfunction.

• Single model: Hold the bottom of the

product with both hands to

move the product safely.

• The appearance or components of the appliance may differ depending on the model.

• Press and hold the button for 3 seconds

to turn on/off the air quality light.

Adjusts the fan speed.

• Press and hold the button for 3 seconds

to activate the Wi-Fi connection mode.

−Before appliance connection: Press

and hold the button for 3 seconds to

activate the Wi-Fi connection mode.

(It will turn off automatically after 10

minutes.)

−After appliance connection: Press and

hold the button for 3 seconds to control

the appliance from the LG ThinQ

smartphone app.

−Wi-Fi function off: Press and hold the

Power button and the Speed button at

the same time for 3 seconds.

dBooster Speed Button

Press to adjust the fan speed of the clean

booster.

eSwing Button

Turns the clean booster left or right.

fIndicator Button

Shows the concentration of particulate

matter by size of particulates.

Schedules an automatic turn off time for the

appliance.

NOTE

• If the battery runs out of charge, replace it with

a new one (CR2025).

• If the remote controller does not work as

expected, replace the battery or check the

polarity (+, -) of the battery. If the problem

continues, contact an LG Customer Information

Center.

• To use the remote controller, point the

transmitter on the remote controller at the

receiver on the front of the appliance and press

a button.

• The remote controller may not work if it is

farther than 22.75 ft (7 m) from the front of the

appliance.

Getting Started

Turning the Appliance On/Off

Press the Power button to turn the appliance on/

off.

NOTE

• The first time the appliance is turned on, it is

set to Booster mode.

• If you experience a power outage, when power

is restored the appliance starts in the last

operating mode set.

• After startup, the sensor ready display(

)

appears for 30 seconds.

Using Operating Modes

Smart Mode

Select this mode to automatically adjust the

operating mode and fan speed based on the

overall air quality.

Press the Mode button to choose the Smart

mode.

• Press the button repeatedly to change the

operating mode in the following order:

Smart ~ Booster ~ Normal.

NOTE

• While in Smart mode, the Speed,

Booster Speed and Swing buttons do not

work.

Booster Mode

Select this mode to quickly clean the air and

circulate it as far as possible.

Press the Mode button to choose the Booster

mode.

NOTE

• If you happen to unplug the power cord from

the outlet before the clean booster closes

completely, plug in the cord again. The clean

booster will swing left and right and then close

completely.

Rotating the Clean Booster

While in Booster mode, press the Swing button.

Normal Mode

Select this mode for basic air purification and

control over the fan speed.

Press the Mode button to choose the Normal

mode.

Adjusting Fan Speeds

Air Purifier Fan Speed

Press the Speed button during operation to adjust

the fan speed on the air purifier.

• Each time you press the button, the speed

changes in the following order:

Auto ~ Low ~ Middle ~ High ~ Turbo.

Fan Speed Display

The fan speed is displayed on the status display

panel. As you adjust the fan speed, the display

increases or decreases by 2 bars at a time.

NOTE

• When the appliance is first turned on, the fan

speed is set to Auto. Auto mode adjusts the fan

speed automatically based on the indoor air

quality.

Clean Booster Fan Speed

To adjust the fan speed of the clean booster, press

the Booster Speed button while the appliance is

in Booster mode.

• Each time you press the button, the speed

changes in the following order:

Auto ~ Low ~ Middle ~ High ~ Turbo.

Booster Speed Display

The booster fan speed is displayed on the status

display panel. As you adjust the fan speed, the

display increases or decreases by 2 bars at a time.

NOTE

• If set to Auto, the clean booster fan speed

adjusts based on the fan speed of the air

purifier.

Using Extra Functions

Setting the Sleep Timer

Use this function to set an automatic stop time for

the appliance.

To use the function, press the Sleep Timer button

while the appliance is operating.

• Each time you press the button, the time until

the appliance automatically shuts off changes

in the following order:

After 2 hours ~ After 4 hours ~ After 8 hours

~ After 12 hours ~ Cancel.

• Once the sleep timer is set, the status display

panel displays only the sleep timer icon and a

few other icons.

NOTE

• The speed is set to Low by default for a certain

period of time. After the time passes, the speed

is controlled automatically depending on the air

quality.

• After the Sleep Timer is set, press the Speed

button to manually change the fan speed.

• To check the set time after setting the Sleep

Timer, press the Sleep Timer button.

• The sleep timer remains on even if the power

goes off or if there is a power outage.

Locking the Control Panel

Lock the control panel if you want to prevent

accidental operation or keep children from

changing the settings.

Press the Sleep Timer button for at least 3

seconds while the appliance is operating.

• k (Lock) is displayed on the status display

panel.

NOTE

• Turn the Lock function off in the same way you

turned it on.

• You can use the remote controller even when

the control panel is locked.

• The control panel can be locked even when the

appliance is not operating.

Checking Air Quality

The overall air quality is indicated by the color of the air quality light and in the status display panel.

Overview of the Air Quality

The overall air quality is calculated based on the concentrations of odors and particulates in the air and is

categorized into 4 levels depending on these concentrations.

NOTE

• The color of the air quality light is based on the worst level detected, whether odors or particulates.

• PM (particulate matter) concentration is displayed in increments of 1 unit, from 8 to 999. PM

concentration values are based on the data sheet provided by the sensor manufacturer.

• The PM concentration measurement was tested using LG Electronics’ standard test materials.

• Differences in PM concentration values may be the result of different methods of measuring or

differences in the actual PM concentration levels.

−If the PM concentration is high, there may be a larger difference between the displayed concentration

and the actual concentration.

Air Quality Details on the Status

Display Panel

aOverall Air Quality

The overall air quality is indicated by the

color of the icon at the top of the status

display panel.

bOdor Concentration

The odor concentration is indicated by the

color of the Odor icon on the status display

panel.

cPM Concentration

The particulate matter (PM) concentration

is indicated in the PM concentration display

and by the color of the PM size indicator.

The number that appears in the display is

the worst level detected among the PM10,

PM2.5, and PM1.0 sensors.

dPM Size

This display shows whichever PM size has

the highest concentration. The color of the

display indicates the PM concentration level

only.

Turning Air Quality Light On/Off

1 The overall indoor air quality is indicated by

the color of the air quality light.

Air quality light

2 Press and hold the Mode button for 3 seconds

to turn the air quality light on or off. On the

remote, press the Light button to turn the air

quality light on or off.

NOTE

• When the appliance is turned on, the air

quality light is white during the initial sensor

stabilization period (30 seconds).

The odor sensor takes 2 minutes to stabilize

after the appliance is turned on.

Checking Particulate Levels

To check the particulate matter concentration by

particulate size, press the Indicator button while

the appliance is operating.

• Press the button repeatedly to see the PM

levels displayed in the following order:

PM10 ~ PM2.5 ~ PM1.0

• The concentration for the selected particulate

size is displayed for about 10 seconds.

NOTE

• The overall air quality level is a result of both

PM concentration and the odor level.

• Even two products placed in the same space

could measure the concentration of particulates

differently due to air circulation.

• Unlike the odor level, the PM concentration

may take time to measure accurately due to the

slow diffusion rate.

• Due to the flow around the particulate sensor,

the displayed PM concentration and actual

concentration may differ.

• The PM concentration measured may differ

from the actual PM concentration in the

following cases.

−The presence of sofas, beds, carpets,

vacuums, humidity, smoke, fragrances,

cosmetics, perfumes, insects, or pets

−If the appliance is located near a construction

site, road, factory, doorway, window, or vent

−If the appliance is located near cooking,

humidifiers, sprays or other products which

generate steam or fine particles.

SMART FUNCTIONS

LG ThinQ Application

The LG ThinQ application allows you to

communicate with the appliance using a

smartphone.

LG ThinQ Application Features

Smart Diagnosis

If you experience a problem while using the

appliance, this smart diagnosis feature will help

you diagnose the problem.

Settings

Allows you to set various options on the appliance

and in the application.

NOTE

• If you change your wireless router, Internet

service provider, or password, delete the

connected appliance from the LG ThinQ

application and connect it again.

• The application is subject to change for

appliance improvement purposes without

notice to users.

• Functions may vary by model.

Before using LG ThinQ

Application

This feature is only available on models with Wi-Fi

function.

1 Check the distance between the appliance

and the wireless router (Wi-Fi network).

• If the distance between the appliance and

the wireless router is too far, the signal

strength becomes weak. It may take a long

time to connect or installation may fail.

2 Turn off the Mobile data or Cellular Data on

your smartphone.

3 Connect your smartphone to the wireless

router.

NOTE

• To verify the Wi-Fi connection, check that the

Wi-Fi f icon on the control panel is lit.

• The appliance supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi

networks only. To check your network

frequency, contact your Internet service

provider or refer to your wireless router manual.

• LG ThinQ is not responsible for any

network connection problems or any faults,

malfunctions, or errors caused by network

connection.

• If the appliance is having trouble connecting

to the Wi-Fi network, it may be too far from

the router. Purchase a Wi-Fi repeater (range

extender) to improve the Wi-Fi signal strength.

• The Wi-Fi connection may not connect or may

be interrupted because of the home network

environment.

• The network connection may not work properly

depending on the Internet service provider.

• The surrounding wireless environment can

make the wireless network service run slowly.

• If the appliance cannot be connected due to

problems with the wireless signal transmission,

unplug the appliance and wait about a minute

before trying it again.

• If the firewall on your wireless router is enabled,

disable the firewall or add an exception to it.

• The wireless network name (SSID) should be

a combination of English letters and numbers.

(Do not use special characters.)

• Smartphone user interface (UI) may vary

depending on the mobile operating system

(OS) and the manufacturer.

• If the security protocol of the router is set to

WEP, the network setup may fail. Change the

security protocol (WPA2 is recommended) and

connect the product again.

Installing the LG ThinQ

Application

Search for the LG ThinQ application from the

Google Play Store or Apple App Store on a

smartphone. Follow instructions to download and

install the application.

so can lead to product deformation or odors.

1 Remove dust from the air inlet and outlet using

a vacuum cleaner.

2 Wipe the exterior with a soft cloth.

NOTE

• If you find it difficult to clean the front and rear

covers, disassemble them first and wash with

water. Then, dry them completely out of direct

sunlight.

Cleaning the Particulate Sensor

The PM1.0 sensor is used to detect fine as well

as coarse particulates. For best results, clean the

sensor lens frequently.

1 Remove the rear cover from the appliance.

2 Open the sensor cover.

3 Clean the lens with a cotton swab soaked with

water and dry it off with a dry cotton swab.

NOTE

• Use only water to clean the sensor. Using

other materials may cause the appliance to

malfunction.

Maintaining the Filter

1 Separate the cover from the appliance.

2 Remove dust from the ultra-fine filter with a

vacuum cleaner or soft brush.

Replacing the Filter

1 Place a newspaper or cloth on the floor by

the appliance. Remove the cover from the

appliance and slide the old filter onto the

newspaper. Insert the new filter with the

handle at the top.

2 Once you have replaced the filter, disable the

filter replacement alert.

Press and hold the Speed and Indicator buttons

simultaneously for 3 seconds.

• The f(filter replacement alert) is disabled and

the replacement alarm is reset.

odors may not register as harmful, but the Deodorizing Care filter will

minimize them.

The air quality light

Move the appliance to a different room and see if the color changes.

• If the odor level is beyond the capacity of the product to dispel, the light

may not change.

• Clean the sensor area.

• Remove the power plug from the outlet and reconnect it one minute later.

A substance was sprayed near the product.

greatly decreased. For best results, ventilate the room first, then use the

appliance.

The odor is coming from the filter.

• Replace the filter. The filter replacement frequency may differ depending

on the usage environment.

The appliance is located in an area with a lot of strong odors.

• If the appliance is used near where you cook or broil fish or meat, the

lifespan of the filters will be greatly decreased.

• For best results, ventilate the area first by opening a window or using a

vent hood. Use the appliance only to minimize odors left after ventilating

the area.

Wi-Fi

The password for the Wi-Fi that you are trying to connect to is incorrect.

• Turn off the Mobile data of your smartphone and connect the appliance

using the Wi-Fi network.

The wireless network name (SSID) is set incorrectly.

• The wireless network name (SSID) should be a combination of English

letters and numbers. (Do not use special characters.)

The router frequency is not 2.4 GHz.

• Only a 2.4 GHz router frequency is supported. Set the wireless router to

2.4 GHz and connect the appliance to the wireless router. To check the

router frequency, check with your Internet service provider or the router

manufacturer.

The appliance is too far from the router.

• If the appliance is too far from the router, the signal may be weak and the

connection may not be configured correctly. Move the router closer to the

appliance.

•Damage or missing items to any display, open box, discounted, or refurbished product.

•Products with original serial numbers that have been removed, altered, or cannot be readily

for warranty validation.

•Increases in utility costs and additional utility expenses.

•Repairs when the product is used for other than normal and usual household use (e.g.

•Costs associated with removal of the product from your home for repairs.

Funcionamiento

• No limpie el aparato con cepillos, paños ni esponjas que sean

• Si detecta ruido, olor o humo inusuales, desenchufe el producto de

inmediato y comuníquese con el centro de información al cliente de

LG Electronics.

• Solo una persona de reparación autorizada deberá desarmar, reparar

o modificar el aparato.

• No utilice ni guarde fuego, combustibles (éter, benceno, alcohol,

drogas, propano, butano, aerosol combustible, insecticida,

ambientador, cosméticos, etc.) ni materiales inflamables (velas,

lámparas, etc.) cerca del producto.

• No coloque el cable de alimentación cerca de alfombras o tapetes.

• No permita que animales o mascotas mastiquen el cable de

alimentación.

Mantenimiento

Batería

• Cuando haya configurado el temporizador de

desconexión, el panel de la pantalla de estado

solo muestra el icono del temporizador de

NOTA

• Por defecto, la velocidad se configura en Baja

durante un período determinado. Una vez

transcurrido ese tiempo, la velocidad se controla

automáticamente según la calidad del aire.

• Después de configurar el Temporizador de

desconexión, presione el botón Velocidad para

cambiar manualmente la velocidad del ventilador.

• Para comprobar el horario de configuración

después de ajustar el Temporizador de

desconexión, presione el botón Temporizador

de desconexión.

• El temporizador de desconexión permanece

encendido incluso si se corta o interrumpe el

suministro eléctrico.

Bloqueo del panel de control

Bloquee el panel de control, si desea prevenir el

funcionamiento accidental o evitar que los niños

cambien las configuraciones.

durante 3 segundos, como mínimo, mientras el

• La medida de la concentración de MP se evaluó utilizando materiales de prueba estándar de LG

Electronics

• Las diferencias en la concentración de valores de MP pueden ser el resultado de los diferentes

métodos de medición o de las diferencias en los niveles de concentración reales de MP.

La concentración de material particulado

(MP) se indica en la pantalla de MP y según

el color del indicador de tamaño del MP.

El número que aparece en la pantalla es

el peor nivel detectado entre los sensores

PM10, PM2.5 y PM1.0.

dTamaño de MP

Esta pantalla muestra qué tamaño de

MP tiene la mayor concentración. El

color de la pantalla indica solo el nivel de

concentración de MP.

Encendido/apagado de la luz de

calidad del aire

1 La calidad general del aire en interior se indica

con el color de la luz de calidad del aire.

2 Mantenga presionado el botón Modo durante

3 segundos para encender y apagar la luz de

calidad del aire. En el control remoto, presione

el botón Luz para encender o apagar la luz de

calidad del aire.

NOTA

• Cuando el aparato está encendido, la luz de

calidad del aire es blanca durante el período de

estabilización inicial del sensor (30 segundos).

El sensor de olor demora 2 minutos en

estabilizarse después de que se enciende el

aparato.

Comprobación de los niveles de

material particulado

Para comprobar la concentración de material

particulado según el tamaño de las partículas,

presione el botón Indicador mientras el aparato

está en funcionamiento.

• Presione el botón varias veces para ver los

niveles de MP que se muestran en el siguiente

orden: PM10 ~ PM2.5 ~ PM1.0

• La concentración para el tamaño de partículas

seleccionado se muestra durante 10 segundos

aproximadamente.

NOTA

• El nivel general de la calidad del aire es el

resultado tanto de la concentración de MP

como del nivel de olor.

• Incluso dos productos ubicados en el mismo

espacio podrían medir la concentración de

material particulado de manera diferente

debido a la circulación de aire.

• A diferencia del nivel de olor, podría

llevar cierto tiempo medir con exactitud la

concentración de MP debido a la baja tasa de

difusión.

• Como consecuencia del flujo que rodea al

sensor de partículas, la concentración de MP

mostrada y la real pueden diferir.

• La concentración de MP medida puede ser

diferente a la concentración de MP real en los

siguientes casos.

−En presencia de sofás, camas, alfombras,

aspiradoras, humedad, humo, fragancias,

cosméticos, perfumes, insectos o mascotas

−Si el aparato está ubicado cerca de una

obra en construcción, calle, fábrica, portal,

ventana o ventilación

−Si el aparato está ubicado cerca del área de

cocina, humidificadores, aerosoles u otros

productos que generen vapor o partículas

finas.

La aplicación LG ThinQ le permite comunicarse

con el aparato mediante un teléfono inteligente.

Smart Diagnosis

Si experimenta un problema a utilizar el

electrodoméstico, la función de diagnóstico

inteligente lo ayudará a diagnosticar el

inconveniente.

Configuración

Le permite ajustar varias opciones en el aparato y

en la aplicación.

NOTA

• Si cambia de enrutador inalámbrico, proveedor

de Internet o contraseña, borre el aparato

conectado en la aplicación LG ThinQ y proceda

a conectarlo de nuevo.

• La aplicación está sujeta a cambios para

la mejora del aparato sin previo aviso a los

usuarios.

• Las funciones pueden variar según el modelo.

Antes de usar la aplicación LG

ThinQ

Esta característica solo está disponible en

modelos con la función Wi-Fi.

1 Verifique la distancia entre el aparato y el

enrutador inalámbrico (red Wi-Fi).

• Si la distancia entre el aparato y el

enrutador inalámbrico es muy grande, la

señal será débil. Puede que le tome más

tiempo conectarse o que falle la instalación.

2 Desactive los datos móviles o datos celulares

en su teléfono inteligente.

3 Conecte su teléfono inteligente al enrutador

inalámbrico.

NOTA

• Para verificar la conexión Wi-Fi, revise que el ícono

Wi-Fi f en el panel de control esté encendido.

• El aparato admite redes Wi-Fi de 2.4 GHz

solamente. Para verificar la frecuencia de red,

contáctese con el proveedor de servicio de Internet

o consulte el manual del enrutador inalámbrico.

• LG ThinQ no es responsable por ningún problema

de conexión de red, falla, mal funcionamiento o

error causado por la conexión de red.

• Si el aparato no se conecta bien a la red

Wi-Fi, es posible que esté demasiado lejos

del enrutador. Compre un repetidor de Wi-Fi

(extensor de señal) para mejorar la fuerza de la

señal Wi-Fi.

• Es posible que la conexión Wi-Fi no se efectúe

o se interrumpa debido al entorno de la red

doméstica.

• Es posible que la conexión de red no funcione

bien por cuestiones relacionadas con su

proveedor de servicios de Internet.

• El entorno inalámbrico circundante puede

hacer que el servicio de red inalámbrica

funcione lentamente.

• Si el aparato no puede conectarse debido

a problemas con la transmisión de la señal

inalámbrica, desenchúfelo y espere alrededor

de un minuto previo a intentarlo de nuevo.

• Si el cortafuegos de su enrutador inalámbrico

está activado, desactívelo o añada una

excepción a este.

• El nombre de la red inalámbrica (SSID) debe

ser una combinación de letras y números. (No

utilice símbolos especiales).

• La interfaz de usuario (UI) del teléfono inteligente

puede variar dependiendo del sistema operativo

(OS) del móvil y del fabricante.

• Es posible que falle la configuración de red,

si el protocolo de seguridad del router está en

WEP. Cambie el protocolo de seguridad por

otro (se recomienda el WPA2) y conecte el

producto nuevamente.

Uso de LG ThinQ para diagnosticar

problema

Si experimenta un problema con su

electrodoméstico equipado con Wi-Fi, este puede

transmitir datos sobre la resolución de problemas a

un teléfono inteligente con la aplicación LG ThinQ.

• Inicie la aplicación LG ThinQ y seleccione la

función Smart Diagnosis en el menú. Siga

las instrucciones provistas en la aplicación LG

ThinQ.

Uso del diagnóstico audible para

diagnosticar problemas

Siga las instrucciones a continuación para utilizar

el método de diagnóstico audible.

• Inicie la aplicación LG ThinQ y seleccione

la función Smart Diagnosis en el menú. Siga

las instrucciones para el diagnóstico audible

provistas en la aplicación LG ThinQ.

1 Presione el botón Indicador y manténgalo

presionado durante 5 segundos para ejecutar

la función Smart Diagnosis.

2 Sostenga el teléfono cerca del c o d del

logotipo en la parte posterior del aparato.

3 Después de completar la transferencia

de datos, aparecerá el diagnóstico en la

aplicación.

NOTA

• Para obtener resultados óptimos, no mueva el

teléfono mientras se transmitan los tonos.

• El entorno operativo y los horarios de

de limpieza. Limpie con más frecuencia, si el

aparato funciona en un entorno polvoriento.

útil y el costo de los filtros de reemplazo no

• Si la concentración de MP no cambia en

la pantalla durante mucho tiempo, limpie

el sensor de PM1.0 incluso si no está

programada una limpieza.

Alertas en el panel de la pantalla

Cuando vea un mensaje de alerta en el panel de

la pantalla de estado, haga lo siguiente:

Almacenamiento

Si el aparato no se utiliza durante un largo

período, almacénelo en un lugar seco y alejado de

la luz solar.

1 Haga funcionar el producto durante una hora

o más un día que presente buen clima.

• Esto le quita la humedad y evita que se

formen hongos dentro del producto.

2 Apague el aparato y desenchúfelo del

suministro eléctrico.

• Enrosque el cable de alimentación

alrededor de la base del aparato.

3 Cubra el aparato para evitar el ingreso de

suciedad o sustancias externas. Almacene el

aparato cubierto en un lugar alejado de la luz

solar.

PRECAUCIÓN

• No almacene el aparato en un lugar húmedo

ni donde esté expuesto a la luz solar directa.

Hacer esto puede generar deformaciones en el

producto o malos olores.

1 Utilice una aspiradora para quitar la suciedad

de la entrada y salida de aire.

2 Limpie el exterior con un paño suave.

NOTA

• Si le resulta difícil limpiar las cubiertas delantera

y trasera, quítelas primero y después lávelas

con agua. Luego, séquelas por completo

alejadas de la luz solar directa.

Limpieza del sensor de material

particulado

El sensor de PM1.0 se utiliza para detectar

partículas finas y gruesas. Para obtener mejores

resultados, limpie el lente del sensor con

frecuencia.

1 Extraiga la cubierta trasera del aparato.

2 Abra la cubierta del sensor.

3 Limpie el lente con un hisopo empapado en

agua y luego seque el lente con un hisopo

seco.

NOTA

• Use solamente agua para limpiar el sensor. Si

utiliza otros materiales podría generar un mal

funcionamiento del aparato.

Mantenimiento del filtro

Limpieza del filtro

1 Separe la cubierta del aparato.

2 Quite la suciedad del filtro ultrafino con una

aspiradora o cepillo suave.

Reemplazo del filtro

1 Coloque un periódico o paño en el piso junto

al aparato. Extraiga la cubierta del aparato y

deslice el filtro usado para colocarlo sobre el

papel de periódico. Inserte el filtro nuevo con

el mango en la parte superior.

2 Una vez que ha reemplazado el filtro,

desactive el aviso de reemplazo del filtro.

Cómo desactivar el aviso de alerta de

reemplazo del filtro

Mantenga presionados los botones Velocidad e

Indicador al mismo tiempo durante 3 segundos.

• Se desactiva la f(alerta de reemplazo del

filtro) y se restablece la alarma de reemplazo.

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS

Antes de llamar al servicio

Compruebe lo siguiente antes de comunicarse con el centro de servicio. Si el problema persiste,

comuníquese con su centro de servicio local.

nivel detectado, ya sea por concentración de MP u olor. El nivel de

concentración de MP podría ser peor que el nivel de olor.

• El sensor de olor (gas) está diseñado para detectar gases perjudiciales.

Los olores fuertes de los alimentos podrían no registrarse como

perjudiciales, pero el filtro de protección desodorizante los minimizará.

La luz de calidad del

aire permanece roja.

Mueva el aparato a otra habitación y vea si cambia el color.

• Si el nivel de olor está por debajo de la capacidad del producto para

disiparlo, la luz no puede cambiar.

• Limpie el área del sensor.

• Retire el cable de alimentación del enchufe y vuelva a conectarlo un

minuto más tarde.

Se pulverizó una sustancia cerca del producto.

• No use aerosoles cerca del producto.

Los botones del

panel de control no

funcionan.

El k (Bloqueo) está encendido en el panel de la pantalla de estado.

• Mantenga presionado el botón Temporizador de desconexión durante 3

segundos para desactivar la función de bloqueo.

concentración de MP puede permanecer elevada.

• La calidad general del aire se basa tanto en la concentración de MP como

en el nivel de olor, y su color se determina según lo que sea peor.

• En áreas con mucho humo u olores, la vida útil de los filtros podría

reducirse considerablemente. Para obtener mejores resultados, primero

ventile la habitación y luego use el aparato.

El olor proviene del filtro.

• Reemplace el filtro. La frecuencia de reemplazo del filtro puede variar

según el entorno donde se use.

El aparato está ubicado en un área con muchos olores fuertes.

• Si el aparato se usa donde cocina o fríe pescado o carne, la vida útil de los

filtros se reducirá considerablemente.

• Para obtener mejores resultados, primero ventile el área abriendo una

ventana o con un extractor de aire. Use el aparato solo para minimizar los

olores después de haber ventilado el área.

aparato a la red Wi-Fi.

El nombre de la red inalámbrica (SSID) está mal configurado.

• El nombre de la red inalámbrica (SSID) debe ser una combinación de

letras y números. (No utilice símbolos especiales).

La frecuencia del router no es 2.4 GHz.

• Solo es compatible con una frecuencia de router de 2.4 GHz. Configure

el router inalámbrico en 2.4 GHz y conecte el aparato con el router

inalámbrico. Para comprobar la frecuencia del router, compruebe con su

proveedor de servicio de Internet o el fabricante del router.

El aparato está demasiado lejos del router.

• Si el aparato está demasiado lejos del router, la señal puede ser débil y

es posible que la conexión no esté configurada correctamente. Mueva el

router para que esté más cerca del aparato.

•Daños causados por el transporte y la manipulación, lo que incluye rayones, abolladuras,

desconchaduras u otros daños en el acabado de su producto, a menos que dichos daños se

deriven de defectos de los materiales o la mano de obra y se comuniquen en el plazo de una (1)

semana desde la entrega.

•Elementos dañados o que faltan en productos de exposición, de caja abierta, con descuento o

reacondicionados.

determinar con facilidad. Los números de modelo y de serie, junto con el recibo de compra

original, son obligatorios para la validación de la garantía.

•Aumento en los costos de utilidades y gastos de utilidad adicionales.

•Reparaciones cuando el producto se destina a usos distintos del doméstico normal y habitual (p.

Normas y procedimientos de arbitraje.

audiencia telefónica o (3) por una audiencia en persona, según lo establecido por las Normas de la
