IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always
be followed, including the following:

accessories, in this oven when not in use.
❍ Do not place any of the following materials in the oven: paper,
cardboard, plastic and the like.
❍ Do not cover crumb tray or any part of this oven with metal foil. This
will cause overheating of the oven.

This product is for household use only.
GROUNDED PLUG
As a safety feature, this product is equipped with a grounded plug, which will
only fit into a three-prong outlet. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
Improper connection of the grounding conductor may result in the risk of
electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether
the outlet is properly grounded.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning: This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw to prevent
removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do
not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are no user-serviceable parts
inside. Repair should be done only by authorized service personnel.
ELECTRICAL CORD
a) A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
c) If an extension cord is used,
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should
be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped
over unintentionally. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension
cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.
Note: If the power supply cord is damaged, it should be replaced by qualified
personnel; in Latin America by an authorized service center.

How to Use
This product is for household use only.
Caution: Do not leave oven unattended when in operation. Food ignition may occur. If this
happens, unplug unit but DO NOT open door. To reduce the risk of fire, keep oven interior
completely clean and free of food residues, oil, grease and any other combustible materials.
Caution: A fire may occur if the toaster oven is covered or touching flammable materials
including curtains, draperies, walls and the like when in operation or after, when still hot.
Do not place any of the following materials in the oven, on top of the oven, or in contact with
the oven sides or bottom surfaces: paper, cardboard, plastic or the like.
GETTING STARTED
• Remove all packing material and any stickers; peel off clear protective film from
control panel.
• Remove and save literature.
• Please go to www.prodprotect.com/applica to register your warranty.
• Wash all removable parts as instructed in CARE AND CLEANING section of this
manual.
• Select a location where this unit is to be used, allowing enough space between back
of the unit and the wall to allow heat to flow without damage to cabinets and walls.
• Insert crumb tray below lower heating elements.
• Close the oven door, noting that rack slides completely into oven.
• Remove tie from cord and unwind.
• Plug unit into electrical outlet.
Important: This oven gets hot. When in use, always use oven mitts or potholders
when touching any outer or inner surface of the oven.
Note: Set oven to BAKE at 350ºF and set timer to 15 minutes without any food in oven
to burn off any oils used in production. The power indicator light comes on and will
remain lit during the entire baking time. during first few minutes of use you may notice
smoke and a slight odor. This is normal and should cause no concern.
SLIDE RACK POSITIONS
The slide rack can be used in 2 positions. It can be slid into the upper or lower slots
found on the inside walls of the oven.
CAUTION
THIS OVEN GETS HOT.
WHEN IN USE, ALWAYS USE OVEN
MITTS OR POT HOLDERS WHEN
TOUCHING ANY OUTER OR INNER
SURFACE OF THE OVEN.

OVERVIEW OF FUNCTIONS
Note: This oven gets hot. When in use, always use oven mitts or potholders when touching
any outer or inner surface of the oven.
For best results, preheat oven for 8 to 10 minutes at desired baking temperature before
baking food.
Important: You must set the timer or select Stay On for the oven to function.
To Bake
1. Turn the temperature selector knob to desired temperature.
2. Turn cooking function selector knob to Bake.
3. Turn timer past 20 and then turn back or forward to desired baking time, including
preheat time.
To Broil
Note: Preheat for 5 minutes.
1. Turn temperature selector knob to Broil.
2. Turn cooking function selector knob to Broil.
3. Turn timer past 20 and then turn back or forward to desired broiling time. Select Stay
On, if you want to control cooking time yourself.
To Toast
1. Turn temperature selector knob to Broil.
2. Turn cooking function selector knob to Toast.
3. Turn toast shade selector past 20 and then turn back to desired toast shade.
Keep Warm
1. Turn temperature selector knob to minimum temperature (Min).
2. Turn cooking function selector knob to Warm.
3. Turn timer past 20 and then turn back or forward to desired warming time.
TOASTING
Important: The oven top and side surfaces get hot.
It is not necessary to preheat the oven for toasting.
Important: You must set the toast shade selector knob as desired for the oven to
function.
1. Make sure temperature selector knob is set to the Broil position.
2. Insert the slide rack into the lower rack position of the oven.
3. Place the bread directly on the slide rack and close the door.
4. Turn the cooking function selector knob to the Toast position.
5. Turn toast shade selector knob past 20 and then turn back to desired toast shade.
Note: For best results, select the medium setting for your first cycle, then adjust lighter or
darker to suit your taste.
The power indicator light comes on and stays on during the toasting cycle. When toasting
is done, the signal bell sounds, the oven automatically shuts off and the power indicator
light goes off.
6. Open oven door and using oven mitt or pot holder, slide out rack to remove toast.
Important: Always use an oven mitt or pot holder to remove food from the oven as the
door and the slide rack will be hot.
Note: You must turn off the toast shade selector knob if you want to discontinue toasting.
Tip: When making more toast immediately after one toasting cycle, set the toast shade
selector knob to a slightly lighter setting to get the same results.
BAKING
Important: The oven top and side surfaces get hot.
Note: For best results, when baking, always preheat the oven for 8 minutes at the
desired temperature setting.
1. Open oven door.
2. Insert the slide rack into the oven with the “L” bar positioned at the front of the
oven. This enables the bake pan/drip tray to be slid under the slide rack to be used
as a drip pan when baking or broiling.
3. Turn the temperature selector knob to the desired temperature setting.
4. Turn cooking function selector knob to Bake.
Important: You must set the timer or select Stay On for the oven to function.
5. Turn timer past 20 and then turn back or forward to desired baking time, including
preheat time.
Tip: Set the timer to the Stay On setting if you want to control cooking time yourself or
need to cook your food longer than 60 minutes. Be sure to use a kitchen timer.
• The power indicator light comes on and stays on during baking cycle.
• The heating elements cycle on and off to maintain the temperature.
6. You can bake 3 ways:
• Use the bake pan/drip tray placed on the slide rack.
• Slide the bake pan/drip tray under the slide rack and place the food directly
on the slide rack.
Note: Be sure food does not extend past the outer limits of the bake pan/drip tray
to prevent grease dripping onto the heating elements.
• Use a metal, glass or ceramic baking dish without lids placed on the slide rack
in either the upper or lower rack slot positions.
7. Place your food in the oven for cooking.
Note: Be sure the top edge of the food or container is at least 1½” (3.81 cm) away from
the upper heating elements.
8. Close oven door.
9. The first time you bake an item in this oven, cook according to recipe or package
instructions and check at minimum time to see if it is done.
10. Once cooking cycle is finished:
• If the timer was on, the signal bell sounds, the power indicator light goes off and
the oven automatically turns off.
• If the timer was not on, turn the Timer/Toast selector from the Stay On position to
the off (0) position. The power indicator light goes off.
11. Open oven door and using oven mitt or pot holder, slide out rack to remove food.
Important: Always use an oven mitt or pot holder to remove food from the oven as
the door and the slide rack will be hot.
12. Turn the temperature selector knob to Min, the cooking MODE selector knob to
WARM and the toast shade and 60-minute timer selector knob to off (0) before
removing plug from electrical outlet. Unplug appliance when not in use.

BROILING
Important: The oven top and side surfaces get hot.
Note: When broiling, preheat oven for 5 minutes.
1. Turn the temperature selector knob to Broil.
2. Turn the cooking function selector knob to Broil.
Important: You must set the timer or select Stay On for the oven to function.
3. Turn timer past 20 and then turn back or forward to desired broiling time. Select Stay
On, if you want to control cooking time yourself.
4. Place food on slide rack with bake pan/drip tray inserted directly into the slide rack
slots below the slide rack.
5. Place food on top of the broil rack.
Note: Be sure the top edge of the food or container is at least 1½” (3.81 cm) away from the
upper heating elements.
Important: Food should not extend beyond the edge(s) of the bake pan/drip tray to avoid
drippings from falling onto the heating elements.
6. The first time you broil an item in this oven, cook according to recipe or package
instructions and check at minimum time to see if it is done.
7. When finished broiling:
• If the timer was on, the signal bell sounds, the power indicator light goes off and the
oven automatically shuts off.
• If the timer was not on, turn the Timer/Toast selector knob from the Stay On position
to the off (0) position. The power indicator light goes off.
8. Using an oven mitt or pot holder, slide out broiling rack together with bake pan to
remove food.
Important: Always use an oven mitt or pot holder to remove food from the oven as the
door and the slide rack will be hot.
Care and Cleaning
This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service
personnel.
CLEANING YOUR OVEN
Important: Before cleaning any part, be sure the oven is off, unplugged, and cool.
Always dry parts thoroughly before using oven after cleaning.
1. Clean the glass door with a sponge, soft cloth or nylon pad and sudsy water. Do not use
a spray glass cleaner.
2. To remove the slide rack, open the door, pull the rack forward and out. Wash the slide
rack in hot sudsy water or in the dishwasher. To remove stubborn spots, use a polyester
or nylon pad.
3. Wash the bake pan/drip tray in hot in sudsy water. To minimize scratching, use a
polyester or nylon pad.
Crumb Tray
1. Pull out crumb tray.
2. Dispose of crumbs and wipe tray with a dampened cloth, or wash in sudsy warm water.
3. Be sure to dry thoroughly before inserting the tray back into the oven.

Exterior Surfaces
Important: The oven top and side surfaces get hot. Make sure the oven has cooled
completely before cleaning.
Wipe the top and exterior walls with a damp cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly.
Cooking Containers
Metal, ovenproof glass or ceramic bakeware without glass lids can be used in
your oven.
Follow manufacturer’s instructions. Be sure the top edge of the container is at least
1½” (3.81 cm) away from the upper heating elements.

Como usar
Este producto es solamente para uso doméstico.
PRECAUCIÓN: Nunca deje el horno desatendido mientra esté funcionando. En
caso de que ocurriera un incendio mientras se cocinan los alimentos, desenchufe
el horno per NO abra la puerta. Para reducir el riesgo de incendio, mantenga
el interior del horno completamente limpio y libre de aceite, grasa, residuos de
alimentos o de cualquier otro material combustible.
PRECAUCIÓN: Existe el riesgo de incendio si el horno permanence cubierto
mientras está funcionando o si éste llegase a entrar en contacto con cualquier
material inflamable, incluyendo las cortinas y las paredes mientras funciona o si
está caliente. No introduzca los siguientes materials en el horno: papel, cartón,
envolturas plásticas y materials similares.
PASOS PRELIMINARES
• Extraiga todo el material de empaque y etiquetas; despegue la película protectora
transparente del panel de control.
• Extraiga y guarde los manuales.
• Ingrese a www.prodprotect.com/applica para registrar su garantía.
• Lave todas las piezas extraíbles según se indica en la sección CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA
de este manual.
• Seleccione el lugar donde se va a utilizar esta unidad, dejando suficiente espacio
entre la parte posterior de la unidad y la pared para que fluya el calor sin causar
daños a gabinetes o paredes.
• Inserte la bandeja para migas debajo de los elementos calentadores.
• Cierre la puerta del horno, procurando que la parrilla se deslice por completo hacia
el interior del horno.
• Extraiga la atadura del cable y desenróllelo.
• Conecte la unidad a la toma de corriente.
Importante: Este horno se calienta cuando está en uso. Siempre utilice guantes
para hornear o agarraderas cuando toque cualquier superficie interna o externa del
horno.
Nota: Configure el horno en BAKE (hornear) a 350 ºF y el temporizador en 15 minutos
sin colocar alimentos dentro del horno para quemar cualquier aceite que se haya
utilizado en producción. La luz indicadora de encendido se ilumina y permanece
iluminada durante todo el tiempo de horneado. Durante los primeros minutos,
es posible que perciba un poco de humo o mal olor. Esto es normal y no debería
preocuparle.

POSICIONES DE LA PARRILLA DESLIZANTE
La parrilla deslizante puede utilizarse en 2 posiciones. Puede insertarse en la ranura
superior o en la ranura inferior, que se encuentran en las paredes internas del horno.
INFORMACIÓN GENERAL DE LAS FUNCIONES
Nota: Este horno se calienta cuando está en uso. Siempre utilice guantes para hornear
o agarraderas cuando toque cualquier superficie interna o externa del horno.
Para obtener mejores resultados, caliente previamente el horno a la temperatura que
desee durante 8 a 10 minutos antes de hornear los alimentos.
Importante: Para que el horno funcione, debe configurar el temporizador o seleccionar
la función STAY ON (mantener encendido).
Para hornear
1. Coloque el selector de temperatura en la temperatura deseada.
2. Coloque el selector de función de cocción en BAKE (hornear).
3. Coloque el temporizador pasando la posición 20 y luego gírelo hacia la izquierda o
hacia la derecha hasta alcanzar el tiempo de horneado que desee, incluido el tiempo de
calentamiento previo.
Para asar
Nota: Caliente previamente durante 5 minutos.
1. Coloque el selector de temperatura en BROIL (asar).
2. Coloque el selector de función de cocción en BROIL (asar).
3. Coloque el temporizador pasando la posición 20 y luego gírelo hacia la izquierda o
hacia la derecha hasta alcanzar el tiempo de asado que desee. Seleccione la función
STAY ON (mantener encendido), si desea controlar usted mismo el tiempo de cocción.
Para tostar
1. Coloque el selector de temperatura en BROIL (asar).
2. Coloque el selector de función de cocción en TOAST (tostar).
3. Coloque el selector de nivel de tostado pasando la posición 20 y luego gírelo hacia la
izquierda hasta alcanzar el nivel de tostado que desee.
Mantener caliente
1. Coloque el selector de temperatura en temperatura mínima (MIN).

TOSTADO

No es necesario calentar previamente el horno para el tostado.
Importante: Para que el horno funcione, debe colocar el selector de nivel de tostado en
la configuración deseada.
1. Asegúrese de que el selector de temperatura esté configurado en la posición
BROIL (asar).
2. Inserte la parrilla deslizante en la posición inferior del horno para la parrilla.
3. Coloque el pan directamente en la parrilla deslizante y cierre la puerta.
4. Coloque el selector de función de cocción en la posición TOAST (tostar).
5. Coloque el selector de nivel de tostado pasando la posición 20 y luego gírelo hacia la
izquierda hasta alcanzar el nivel de tostado que desee.
Nota: Para obtener mejores resultados, seleccione la configuración media para su primer
ciclo, luego ajústela entre claro y oscuro según su preferencia.
La luz indicadora de encendido se ilumina y permanece iluminada durante el ciclo
de tostado. Al completarse el tostado, sonará el timbre de aviso y se apagarán
automáticamente el horno y la luz indicadora de encendido.
6. Abra la puerta del horno y utilizando guantes para hornear o agarraderas, jale la
parrilla deslizante hacia afuera para retirar las tostadas.
Importante: Siempre utilice guantes para hornear o agarraderas para retirar los
alimentos del horno, ya que la puerta y la parrilla deslizante estarán calientes.
Nota: Para dejar de tostar coloque el selector de nivel de tostado en la posición OFF
(apagado).
Consejo: Si desea hacer más tostadas inmediatamente después de haber completado
un ciclo de tostado, coloque el selector de nivel de tostado en una configuración más
clara para obtener los mismos resultados.
HORNEADO
Importante: La parte superior y las superficies laterales del horno se calientan.
Nota: Para obtener mejores resultados, al hornear siempre caliente previamente el
horno durante 8 minutos a la configuración de temperatura deseada.
1. Abra la puerta del horno.
2. Inserte la parrilla deslizante en el horno con la barra “L” posicionada en la parte
delantera del horno. Esto permite colocar la bandeja de hornear/goteo debajo de la
parrilla deslizante para recoger el goteo durante el horneado o asado.
3. Coloque el selector de temperatura en la configuración de temperatura deseada.
4. Coloque el selector de función de cocción en BAKE (hornear).
Importante: Para que el horno funcione, debe configurar el temporizador o
seleccionar la función STAY ON (mantener encendido).
5. Coloque el temporizador pasando la posición 20 y luego gírelo hacia la izquierda
o hacia la derecha hasta alcanzar el tiempo de horneado que desee, incluido el
tiempo de calentamiento previo.
Consejo: Coloque el temporizador en la configuración STAY ON (mantener encendido)
si desea controlar usted mismo el tiempo de cocción o si necesita cocinar los
alimentos durante un periodo mayor que 60 minutos. Asegúrese de utilizar un
temporizador de cocina.
• La luz indicadora de encendido se ilumina y permanece iluminada durante el ciclo
de horneado.
• Los elementos calentadores se encienden y se apagan para mantener la
temperatura.
6. Se puede hornear de 3 formas:
• Utilice la bandeja de hornear/goteo colocada en la parrilla deslizante.
• Inserte la bandeja de hornear/goteo debajo de la parrilla deslizante y coloque
los alimentos directamente en la bandeja deslizante.
Nota: Asegúrese de que los alimentos no sobrepasen los límites exteriores de
la bandeja de hornear/goteo para evitar que gotee grasa sobre los elementos
calentadores.
• Utilice un plato de hornear de metal, vidrio o cerámica sin tapa sobre la parrilla
deslizante en la ranura de posición inferior o superior.
7. Coloque los alimentos en el horno para su cocción.
Nota: Asegúrese de que el borde superior de los alimentos o del recipiente estén
separados de los elementos calentadores por una distancia mínima de 1½” (3.81 cm).
8. Cierre la puerta del horno.

9. La primera vez que hornee alimentos en este horno, siga las instrucciones de cocción
del paquete o de una receta y compruebe si los alimentos ya están hechos al tiempo
de cocción mínimo.
10 Una vez que finaliza el ciclo de cocción:
• Si el temporizador estaba encendido, sonará el timbre de aviso y se apagarán
automáticamente el horno y la luz indicadora de encendido.
• Si el temporizador no estaba encendido, coloque el selector TOAST/TIMER (tostado/
temporizador) de la posición STAY ON (mantener encendido) a la posición OFF (0).
La luz indicadora de encendido se apagará.
11 Abra la puerta del horno y utilizando guantes para hornear o agarraderas, jale la
parrilla deslizante hacia afuera para retirar los alimentos.
Importante: Siempre utilice guantes para hornear o agarraderas para retirar los
alimentos del horno, ya que la puerta y la parrilla deslizante estarán calientes.
12. Coloque el selector de temperatura en MIN, el selector MODE (modo de cocción)
en WARM (tibio) y el selector del temporizador de 60 minutos en OFF (0) antes de
desconectar el cable del tomacorriente. Desconecte el electrodoméstico cuando no
esté en uso.
ASADO
Importante: La parte superior y las superficies laterales del horno se calientan.
Nota: Al asar, caliente previamente el horno durante 5 minutos.
1. Coloque el selector de temperatura en BROIL (asar).
2. Coloque el selector de función de cocción en BROIL (asar).
Importante: Para que el horno funcione, debe configurar el temporizador o seleccionar
la función STAY ON (mantener encendido).
3. Coloque el temporizador pasando la posición 20 y luego gírelo hacia la izquierda o
hacia la derecha hasta alcanzar el tiempo de asado que desee. Seleccione la función
STAY ON (mantener encendido), si desea controlar usted mismo el tiempo de cocción.
4. Coloque los alimentos en la parrilla deslizante con la bandeja de hornear/goteo
insertada directamente en las ranuras debajo de la parrilla deslizante.
5. Coloque los alimentos en la parte superior de la parrilla de asar.
Nota: Asegúrese de que el borde superior de los alimentos o del recipiente estén
separados de los elementos calentadores por una distancia mínima de 1½” (3.81 cm).
Importante: Los alimentos no deben sobrepasar los bordes de la bandeja de hornear/
goteo para evitar que goteen sobre los elementos calentadores.
6. La primera vez que ase alimentos en este horno, siga las instrucciones de cocción del
paquete o de una receta y compruebe si los alimentos ya están hechos al tiempo de
cocción mínimo.
7. Cuando finalizó el asado:
• Si el temporizador estaba encendido, sonará el timbre de aviso y se apagarán
automáticamente el horno y la luz indicadora de encendido.
• Si el temporizador no estaba encendido, coloque el selector TOAST/TIMER (tostado/
temporizador) de la posición STAY ON (mantener encendido) a la posición OFF (0).
La luz indicadora de encendido se apagará.
8. Utilizando guantes para hornear o agarraderas, jale la parrilla de asar junto con la
bandeja de hornear hacia afuera para retirar los alimentos.
Importante: Siempre utilice guantes para hornear o agarraderas para retirar los
alimentos del horno, ya que la puerta y la parrilla deslizante estarán calientes.
Cuidado y limpieza
Este producto no contiene piezas que puedan ser reparadas por el usuario. En caso de
requerir servicio, consulte al personal calificado.
PARA LIMPIAR EL HORNO
Importante: Antes de limpiar cualquier pieza, asegúrese de haber apagado,
desconectado y enfriado el horno.
Después de limpiar el horno, siempre seque las piezas por completo antes de volver a
utilizarlo.
1. Limpie la puerta de vidrio con una esponja, paño suave o estropajo de nylon y agua.
No utilice pulverizadores de limpieza de vidrios.
2. Para extraer la parrilla deslizante, abra la puerta, jale la parrilla hacia delante y
hacia afuera. Lave la parrilla deslizante en agua caliente o en el lavavajillas. Para
quitar las manchas resistentes, utilice un estropajo de poliéster o nylon.
3. Lave la bandeja de hornear/goteo en agua caliente. Para minimizar los rayones,
utilice un estropajo de poliéster o nylon.
Bandeja para migas
1. Hale la bandeja para migas hacia afuera.
2. Deseche las migas y limpie la bandeja con un paño humedecido, o lave en agua
tibia.
3. Asegúrese de secar por completo antes de volver a insertar la bandeja en el horno.
Superficies exteriores
Importante: La parte superior y las superficies laterales del horno se calientan.
Asegúrese de que el horno se ha enfriado por completo antes de limpiar.
Limpie la parte superior y las paredes exteriores con un paño o una esponja húmedos.
Seque por completo.
Recipientes de cocción
Puede utilizar en el horno platos de hornear de metal, vidrio refractario o cerámica
sin tapas de vidrio.
Siga las instrucciones del fabricante. Asegúrese de que el borde superior del
recipiente esté separado de los elementos calentadores por una distancia mínima de
1½” (3.81 cm).
