stimulating effect and can delay sleep.

Instructions for Use

The Extended Track Shiatsu

Massaging Cushion comes with

a screw located on the back of the unit to protect the massage

mechanism during shipment, which must be removed before the

first use to allow the unit to function properly. Use the provided allen

wrench. Then, properly dispose of the screw. Warning - Failure to

remove screw may cause permanent damage to the massage

cushion.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized

plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a

polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,

reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to

install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

Untie cord strap, extend cord and insert plug into 120-volt household

electrical outlet to power unit.

Attach the cushion to most chairs for a luxurious massage as you

read, rest or even work. See pages 8-9 for instructions on the use of

the hand control.

Strapping System

The Extended Track Shiatsu

Massaging Cushion incorporates a

unique strapping system which allows you to fasten it to almost any

chair. Just slip the straps over the seat or chair and adjust fastening

straps to secure. Your massager won’t slip or slide away.

Maintenance

To Clean

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a

soft, slightly damp sponge. Never allow water or any other liquids to

come into contact with the unit.

• Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene,

glass / furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.

• Do not attempt to repair the Extended Track Shiatsu

Massaging

Cushion. There are no user serviceable parts. For service, send

the unit to the HoMedics address listed in the warranty section.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is

subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause

harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference

received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Note: The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio or TV

Carry Bag Instructions

Make sure the cushion is unplugged and the cord is properly secured

in the pocket between the cushion and seat. With cushion sitting

upright in the chair, fold the seat up toward the cushion. Remove the

bag from the compartment on the cushion (see Fig. A). Unzip the bag

and slide it over the cushion from the top down (see Fig. B). Zip the

bag and carry the cushion by the handles on the side of the bag (see

Fig. C).

Spot Shiatsu

While the unit is in Shiatsu massage, press either button to

stop and focus the Shiatsu action in one place. Once the unit

is operating in Spot Shiatsu, you may adjust the mechanism

position by holding down either button until the desired position

is reached. The Up Arrow will move the mechanism upwards

and the Down Arrow will move it down. Once you release the

button, the mechanism will stop in that place.

Power Button

To turn on the massage functions, first press the POWER button.

The L.E.D. indicator will illuminate and confirm your selection.

To turn off the massage functions, simply press the button

again. The L.E.D. indicator will blink while the dual massage

mechanism returns to its lowest point and then it will turn off.

Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu is a deep kneading

circular massage.

Shiatsu Programs

Choose from 3 preset

programs where the Shiatsu

massage travels up and down

in a specific area of the back.

To select a program, simply

press the button and the L.E.D.

Demo Button

For a brief demonstration of the features of the Extended Track Shiatsu

Massaging Cushion, press the Demo button. The

unit will briefly go through each function. Once complete, the unit automatically turns off. The L.E.D. light will blink to

indicate the active functions.

Vibration Massage

Add invigorating vibration massage to any shiatsu or rolling massage program.

Perfect Fit

To customize the massage to your height, press the “Perfect Fit” button at the highest desired position. The massage heads

will not travel higher than that position for the duration of the massage. To deselect the Perfect Fit feature, press the “Perfect

Fit” button a second time. The massage will return to its full travel.

Rolling Massage

Rolling is like two hands or thumbs working up and down your back.

Rolling Programs

Choose from 3 preset programs where the Rolling massage travels up and down in a specific area of the back. To select a

program, simply press the button and the LED will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again or press another button.

Width Adjustment

While the unit is in Rolling massage, press this button to adjust the distance or width between the massage heads. With

each press, the massage heads will move to the next available position.

Heat

For soothing heat when massage is on, simply press the heat button and the corresponding red L.E.D. light will illuminate.

To deselect, press the button again and the corresponding L.E.D. light will turn off. For your safety, heat cannot be turned on

if no massage program is selected.

NOTE: There is a 15-minute auto shut off on the unit for your safety.

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and

workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below.

HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal

use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.

To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales receipt

(as proof of purchase), postpaid, to the following address:

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer

purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way

beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse;

accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation;

unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power;

dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s

recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental

conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or

repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the

product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any

other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or

repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE

SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF

MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH

RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR

ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY

REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND

TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE

GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS

RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.

This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed

products, including but not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/or sales of

such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately

cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or

modified, without the prior express and written consent of HoMedics.

This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which may vary

from country to country. Because of individual country regulations, some of the above limitations and

Instrucciones de uso

El Shiatsu de Recorrido Extendido

Cojín Masajeador trae un tornillo

en el respaldo de la unidad que sirve para proteger el mecanismo de

masaje durante el transporte; es necesario quitar ese tornillo antes del

primer uso para permitir que la unidad funcione correctamente. Para

retirarlo, use la llave Allen incluida. Entonces, disponge correctamente

del tornillo. Advertencia – El no retirar el tornillo puede causar

daño permanente al almohadón para masajes.

Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, este artefacto tiene

un enchufe polarizado (una paleta es más ancha que la otra).

Este enchufe encaja de una sola forma en un tomacorriente

polarizado. Si el enchufe no encaja completamente en el

tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe. Si aún así no encaja, póngase

en contacto con un electricista calificado para que instale el

tomacorriente adecuado. No cambie el enchufe en modo alguno.

Desate la cinta del cable, extienda el cable e inserte el enchufe en un

tomacorriente doméstico de 120 voltios para alimentar la unidad.

Sujete el almohadón a la mayoría de los tipos de silla para obtener un

Sistema de correas

El Shiatsu de Recorrido Extendido

Cojín Masajeador viene con un

exclusivo sistema de correas que permite sujetarlo a casi cualquier

asiento. Tan sólo deslice las correas por encima de la silla o butaca y

ajuste las correas para asegurarlo. Su masajeador no se deslizará ni se

resbalará.

Mantenimiento

Para guardar

Coloque el masajeador en su caja o en un lugar seguro, seco y fresco.

Evite el contacto con bordes filosos u objetos punzantes que puedan

cortar o perforar la superficie del material que lo recubre. Para evitar

roturas, NO envuelva el cable de corriente alrededor de la unidad.

NO cuelgue la unidad del cable del control manual.

Para limpiar

Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe antes de limpiarla. Limpie

únicamente con una esponja suave, apenas húmeda. Nunca permita que

el agua ni otro líquido entre en contacto con la unidad.

• NO sumerja la unidad en ningún líquido para limpiarla.

• NUNCA utilice limpiadores abrasivos, cepillos, gasolina, querosén,

limpiador de vidrios o lustramuebles para limpiar.

• NO intente reparar el Shiatsu de Recorrido Extendido

Cojín

Masajeador. No hay piezas que necesiten servicio por parte del

usuario. Por servicio, envíe la unidad a la dirección de HoMedics que

se detalla en la sección de garantía.

Atención:

Instrucciones Para el Bolso

Asegúrese de que el cojín esté desconectado y el cable esté asegurado correctamente

entre el cojín y el asiento. Con el cojín parado en la silla, doble el asiento hacia el cojín.

Retire el bolso del compartimiento del cojín (ver Fig. A). Abra la cremallera del bolso y

deslícelo sobre el cojín, de arriba hacia abajo (ver Fig. B). Cierre la cremallera del bolso

y lleve el cojín por las manijas en el costado del bolso (ver Fig. C).

CON

Programas Shiatsu

Escoja ente los 3 programas

preestablecidos en los cuales

el masaje Shiatsu se desplaza

hacia arriba y hacia abajo en un

área específica de la espalda.

Para seleccionar un programa,

simplemente presione el botón

y el L.E.D. se ilumina. Para

deseleccionar, presione el botón

otra vez o presione otro botón.

Mecanismo Móvil de Masaje

Masaje Schiatsu localizado

Con la unidad actuando en masaje Shiatsu, presione

cualquiera de los dos botones para parar y concentrar la

acción Shiatsu en un solo lugar. Una vez que la unidad está

funcionando en Shiatsu Localizado (Spot Shiatsu), usted

puede ajustar la posición del mecanismo manteniendo

presionado cualquiera de los dos botones hasta alcanzar la

posición deseada. La flecha hacia arriba (Up Arrow) desplaza

el mecanismo hacia arriba y la flecha hacia abajo (Down

Arrow) lo desplaza hacia abajo. Cuando usted suelta el botón,

el mecanismo para en el lugar donde se encuentra.

Botón de encendido

Para encender las funciones de masaje, primero oprima el

botón POWER (Encendido).

El indicador L.E.D. se iluminará confirmado su selección.

Para apagar las funciones de masaje, simplemente oprima el

botón nuevamente. El indicador L.E.D. destella mientras el

mecanismo de masaje dual vuelve a su posición más baja

y luego se apaga.

Botón de Demostración

Para una breve demostración de las características del Shiatsu de Recorrido Extendido

Cojín Masajeador, presione el

botón de demostración (Demo). La unidad pasará rápidamente por cada función. Una vez completada, la unidad se apaga

automáticamente. La luz LED empieza a parpadear para indicar las funciones activas.

Masaje Vibratorio

Añada un masaje energizante de vibración a cualquier programa de masaje shiatsu o con rodillos.

Ajuste Perfecto

Para ajustar el masaje según su altura, presione el botón “Perfect Fit” (ajuste perfecto) en la posición más alta deseada.

Las cabezas masajeadoras no se desplazarán más arriba de esa posición por la duración del masaje. Para deseleccionar la

función Perfect Fit, presione el botón “Perfect Fit” una segunda vez. El masaje volverá a su recorrido completo.

Masaje Rodante

El masaje rodante es como dos manos o pulgares trabajando hacia arriba y abajo sobre su parte posteriora.

Programas de Masaje Rodante

Escoja ente los 3 programas preestablecidos en los cuales el masaje Rodante se desplaza hacia arriba y hacia abajo en un

área específica de la espalda. Para seleccionar un programa, simplemente presione el botón y el L.E.D. se ilumina. Para

deseleccionar, presione el botón otra vez o presione otro botón.

Ajuste de Ancho

Con la unidad en Masaje Rodante, presione este botón para ajustar la distancia, o el ancho entre las cabezas masajeadoras.

Cada vez que usted presiona el botón, las cabezas se desplazan a la siguiente posición disponible.

Calor

Para un calor suave, cuando el masaje esté encedido, simplemente presione el botón de calor y la luz LED roja

correspondiente se enciende. Para anular la selección, vuelva a presionar el botón y la luz LED correspondiente se apaga.

Por su seguridad, el calor no puede encenderse sin haber seleccionado un programa de masaje.

ATENCIÓN: La unidad se apaga automáticamente después de 15 minutos, por

seguridad.
