When plugs fit loosely into outlets, they may slip partially out of the outlet and create a poor connection. This may cause outlets to overheat and create a potential fire hazard. Outlets in this condition should be replaced by a qualified electrician. ALWAYS unplug the power cord when servicing, cleaning or moving the Fan. DO NOT use the ON/OFF switch as the sole means of disconnecting power. NEVER leave children unattended when the Fan is on or plugged in. ALWAYS turn off and unplug the Fan when not in use. BE CERTAIN that the power source for the Fan is 120V AC. DO NOT plug the Fan into 240V or other power source. The Plug on your Lasko fan is a safety feature. It contains a non-replaceable safety device (fuse) that should not be removed or tampered with. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury, DO NOT attempt to remove, replace, repair or tamper with the originally supplied plug. If the Fan has stopped functioning, it may be due to the safety device incorporated in this plug. THIS FAN HAS A POLARIZED PLUG (one blade is wider than the other). This plug is designed to fit into the outlet only one way. Match the wide blade to wide slot in outlet and FULLY INSERT. DO NOT attempt to bypass or defeat this safety feature. If the plug does not fit in the outlet, consult a qualified electrician. The outlet may need to be replaced. CAUTION • AVOID the use of extension cords, power strips, power taps, outlet style air fresheners or other cord connected device, as these devices may overheat and cause a fire hazard. •DO NOT route power cord under rugs, carpets, runners or furniture. La función de oscilación podrá activarse con el ventilador enfrentando cualquier dirección. 1. Sostenga la Base y la Parte Inferior De Ventilador en forma estacionaria. 2. Tome la Parte Superior De Ventilador y gírela a la posición que desee. ADVERTENCIA: NO INTENTE HACER GIRAR EL VENTILADOR MÁS ALLÁ DE SU PUNTO DE RESISTENCIA, PUES ELLO DAÑARÁ EL VENTILADOR. Asegúrese que el enchufe encaje firmemente en el tomacorriente. Cuando los enchufes quedan flojos en los tomacorrientes, pueden deslizarse parcial o completamente fuera del tomacorriente con un leve movimiento del cable adosado. Encienda el Ventilador oprimiendo el Botón De Encendido ( ). Botón De Encendido se iluminará cuando el equipo haya sido encendido. 5. Al encender el Ventilador, el equipo estará funcionando en ALTO. 6. Si oprime el Botón De Encendido por segunda vez, el Ventilador quedará en MEDIANO. 7. Si oprime el Botón De Encendido por tercera vez, el Ventilador quedará en BAJO. 8. Para APAGAR el Ventilador, oprima el Botón de Encendido/ Apagado ( ). La luz de encendido se apagará una vez que el equipo esté apagado. 9. Después de apagar el Ventilador, desconecte la unidad del tomacorriente eléctrico. PARA REDUCIR EL RIESGO DE INCENDIOS, DESCARGAS ELÉCTRICAS SIEMPRE SIGA LAS SIGUIENTES INSTRUCCIONES Y ADVERTENCIAS: NO utilice este ventilador para ventilar las zonas donde se usen, almacenen o estén presentes líquidos o vapores inflamables, incluidos pinturas, gasolina, barnices, disolventes o productos de acabado para pisos. ¡SIEMPRE lea y siga todas las advertencias e instrucciones descritas en los envases de estos productos! Pressing the Oscillation Button ( )will allow the Fan to oscillate back and forth. To stop the oscillation, press the Oscillation Button once more. The Oscillation Button will light when this function is in use. 1. Carefully remove the Fan from the plastic bag and the carton. 2. Place the Fan on a firm and level surface. Plastic or rubber tabs, like the feet on this unit, may stick to furniture surfaces and/or hardwood floors. The unit may leave a residue that could darken, stain or leave permanent blemishes on the finish of certain furniture surfaces, including wood surfaces, and/or hardwood floors. 3. Plug the cord set into a 120 volt outlet. MULTI-DIRECTIONAL INSTRUCTIONS (Figure 2) The top half of the Fan can be manually turned a different direction than the bottom half of the Fan. The oscillation function will work with the top half of the fan facing any direction. 1. Hold the Base and the Bottom Fan stationary. 2. Grasp the Top Fan and turn it to the desired position. CAUTION: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TURN THE FAN BEYOND THE POINT OF RESISTANCE. THIS WILL DAMAGE THE FAN. Be sure that the plug fits tightly into outlet. When plugs fit loosely into receptacles, they may slip partially or completely out of the receptacle with only the slight movement of the attached cord. Receptacles in this condition may overheat and pose a serious fire hazard; if covered by a curtain or drape, the fire hazard is even greater. 4. Turn the Fan ON by pressing the Power Button ( ). The Power Button will light when the unit is turned on. 5. Upon turning the Fan ON, the unit will be on HIGH. 6. Pressing the Power Button a second time will set the Fan to MEDIUM. 7. Pressing the Power Button a third time will set the Fan to LOW. 8. To turn the Fan OFF, press the Power Button ( ). The power light will go out when the unit is off. 9.
