Thank you for purchasing the 70m Cat.6 HDMI 4K60, USB & Audio KVM Extender. This product has been

designed to provide trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2 year warranty and free

lifetime technical support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future

reference.

The Lindy Cat.6 HDMI 4K60, USB & Audio KVM Extender is an effective, reliable solution for extending

HDMI 4K60 signals over distances up to 70m (229.66ft) with standard Cat.6/7 network cable in a point-to-

point connection.

USB KM connectivity allows for a full control of a PC from a local console, which can be stored in a secure

or controlled temperature environment, while providing consistent video content to the display.

This extender also supports bidirectional PoC (Power over Cable) and Audio de-embedding to output the

signal on the receiver through a 3.5mm analog port.

Installation and Operation

Transmitter

1. SERVICE: USB Micro-B port for firmware update.

2. HDMI OUT: Connect to a local HDMI display using an HDMI cable (not included).

3. HDMI IN: Connect to an HDMI source device using an HDMI cable (not included).

4. CAT OUT: Connect the receiver unit using a single Cat.6 or above cable for all data signals. Please

do not connect to a network port.

5. Data Signal LED (yellow):

- Illuminates when HDMI signal is with HDCP

- Flashes when HDMI signal is without HDCP

- Remains off when there is no HDMI signal

6. Link Signal LED (green):

- Illuminates when Transmitter and Receiver are connected

- Flashes when the connection between Transmitter and Receiver is poor

- Remains off when Transmitter and Receiver are not connected

7. Connect to a PC using the supplied USB Type A / B cable.

8. DC 12V: Connect the supplied 12V 1A power supply to an AC wall outlet and securely connector to

the Transmitter or Receiver. This is only required at one side of the installation.

9. EDID: Use the DIP switches to set up the EDID (1 indicates DIP switch UP, 0 indicates DIP switch

DOWN).

Receiver

1. SERVICE: USB Micro-B port for firmware update.

Important! Before starting the installation, please ensure that all devices are powered off.

1. Connect an HDMI source device to the Transmitter unit using HDMI cable.

2. Connect one end of the Cat.6/7 cable to the CAT OUT port on the Transmitter and the other end to the

CAT IN port on the Receiver. U/UTP or F/UTP solid core installation cables are recommended. For

cable lengths please see the Specifications of this manual.

3. Use another HDMI cable to connect an HDMI display device to the HDMI output port on the Receiver

unit. Plug the DC power supply into the Transmitter or Receiver and switch on.

4. Power on the source device and display to complete the installation.

In addition to the installation steps outlined above, this Extender can also provide Audio de-embedded

signal from 3.5mm AUDIO OUT port on the Receiver. Connect a 3.5mm speaker or headphones to the

AUDIO OUT port if needed.

Troubleshooting

There is no display on the screen.

It has been found that there are significant differences in the cable lengths/types and even input ports

which can be used on different brands of display using HDMI 18G 4K@60Hz resolutions. If problems are

experienced, please apply the following steps:

 Check that all cables are plugged in correctly in the respective ports as shown in Installation chapter.

 Try a different type or reduce the HDMI cable length on the Input and Output to 1m (Lindy suggests

using high speed HDMI cables no longer than 2m if 4K60Hz resolution is required).

 For several HDMI devices it may be helpful to unplug and re-connect their HDMI connection to reinitiate

the HDMI handshake and recognition.

 Reduce the length of the Cat.6 cable used or use a higher quality cable.

Installation & Betrieb

Transmitter

2. HDMI OUT: Schließen Sie ein lokales HDMI-Display über ein HDMI-Kabel (nicht im Lieferumfang

4. CAT OUT: Schließen Sie die Empfangseinheit über ein einziges Cat.6-Kabel oder höher an, um

2. Verbinden Sie ein Ende des Cat.6/7-Kabels mit dem CAT OUT-Port am Sender und das andere

Ende mit dem CAT IN-Port des Empfängers. U/UTP- oder F/UTP-Solidcore-Installationskabel

werden empfohlen. Die Kabellängen entnehmen Sie bitte den Spezifikationen dieses

Handbuchs.

3. Verwenden Sie ein anderes HDMI-Kabel, um ein HDMI-Anzeigegerät an den HDMI-Ausgang der

Empfängereinheit anzuschließen. Verbinden Sie das Netzteil mit dem Sender oder Empfänger

und schalten sie ein.

4. Schalten Sie das Quellgerät und das Display ein, um die Installation abzuschließen.

Zusätzlich zu den oben beschriebenen Installationsschritten kann dieser Extender auch ein Audio-De-

Embedded-Signal vom 3.5-mm-AUDIO OUT-Port am Receiver bereitstellen. Schließen Sie bei Bedarf

einen 3.5-mm-Lautsprecher oder Kopfhörer an den AUDIO OUT-Anschluss an.

Fehlersuche

Es wird keine Anzeige auf dem Bildschirm angezeigt.

Es gibt signifikante Unterschiede bezüglich der Kabellängen/-typen und sogar bezüglich der

Eingangsanschlüsse, die auf verschiedenen Displaymarken mit HDMI 18G 4K@60Hz-Auflösungen

verwendet werden können. Wenn Probleme auftreten, wenden Sie bitte die folgenden Schritte an:

1. Überprüfen Sie, ob alle Kabel korrekt an den entsprechenden Anschlüssen angeschlossen sind,

wie im Kapitel Installation gezeigt.

2. Probieren Sie einen anderen Kabeltyp aus oder reduzieren Sie die HDMI-Kabellänge am Eingang

und Ausgang auf 1m (Lindy empfiehlt, High-Speed-HDMI-Kabel zu verwenden, die nicht länger als

2m sind, wenn eine Auflösung von 4K60 Hz erforderlich ist).

3. Bei mehreren HDMI-Geräten kann es hilfreich sein, die HDMI-Verbindung zu trennen und wieder

anzuschließen, um den HDMI-Handshake und die HDMI-Erkennung erneut zu initiieren.

4. Reduzieren Sie die Länge des verwendeten Cat.6-Kabels oder verwenden Sie ein hochwertigeres

Kabel.

Installation et Utilisation

Emetteur

1. SERVICE : port USB Micro-B réservé aux mises à jour.

2. HDMI OUT : Connecte un écran HDMI local en utilisant un câble HDMI (non fourni).

3. HDMI IN : Connecte une source HDMI en utilisant un câble HDMI (non fourni).

4. CAT OUT : Connecte le récepteur en utilisant un câble Cat.6 ou supérieur pour tous les signaux de

données. Ne pas connecter ce port au réseau Ethernet.

5. LED de signaux de données (jaune) :

- s’éclaire lorsque le signal HDMI est en HDCP

Récepteur

Important ! Veuillez-vous assurer que tous les appareils sont hors tension avant de débuter l’installation.

1. Connectez une source HDMI à l’émetteur en utilisant un câble HDMI.

2. Connectez une extrémité du câble Cat.6/7 à la sortie CAT OUT de l’émetteur et l’autre extrémité au

port CAT IN du récepteur. Les câbles U/UTP ou F/UTP monobrins sont recommandés. Pour les

longueurs des câbles voire le paragraphe Spécifications de ce manuel.

3. Utilisez un autre câble HDMI pour connecter un écran HDMI au port de sortie HDMI sur le récepteur.

Branchez l’alimentation DC à l’émetteur ou au récepteur et mettez sous tension.

4. Démarrez la source et l’écran pour compléter l’installation.

En plus des étapes d'installation décrites ci-dessus, cet Extender peut également fournir un signal audio

extrait à partir du port AUDIO OUT de 3,5 mm sur le récepteur. Connectez un haut-parleur de 3,5 mm ou

un casque au port AUDIO OUT si nécessaire.

Dépannage

Aucune image à l’écran.

Il a été constaté qu'il existe des différences significatives dans les longueurs/types de câbles et même les

ports d'entrée qui peuvent être utilisés sur différentes marques d'écran utilisant des résolutions HDMI 18G

4K@60Hz. Si vous rencontrez des problèmes, veuillez suivre les étapes suivantes :

 Vérifiez la bonne connexion des câbles comme indiqué au paragraphe Installation.

 Essayez un autre type ou réduisez la longueur du câble HDMI utilisé à un mètre sur les ports d’entrée

et de sortie (Lindy recommande d’utiliser les câbles HDMI High Speed ne dépassant pas 2 mètres si

la résolution 4K60Hz est requise).

 Pour certains appareils HDMI, il peut être utile de débrancher et de rebrancher leur connexion HDMI

pour réinitialiser l'échange et la reconnaissance HDMI.

 Réduisez la longueur du câble Cat.6 utilisé ou utilisez des câbles de plus haute qualité.

Questo Extender KVM Cat.6 HDMI 4K60, USB e Audio, 70m di Lindy è una soluzione efficace e affidabile

per estendere segnali HDMI 4K60 su distanze fino a 70m con un cavo di rete standard Cat.6/7 in una

connessione punto a punto.

La connessione USB KM permette un controllo totale del PC da una console locale, che può essere

collocata in un ambiente protetto e a temperatura controllata, mentre garantisce al display un flusso di

contenuti video costante.

Questo extender supporta anche il PoC (Power over Cable) bidirezionale e il de-embedding audio per

Installazione

Trasmettitore

Importante! Prima di iniziare l'installazione, assicurarsi che tutti i dispositivi siano spenti.

1. Collegare un dispositivo sorgente HDMI all'unità trasmittente utilizzando un cavo HDMI.

2. Collegare un'estremità del cavo Cat.6/7 alla porta CAT OUT del trasmettitore e l'altra alla porta

CAT IN del ricevitore. Si consigliano cavi d'installazione solid core U/UTP o F/UTP. Per le

lunghezze dei cavi, consultare le specifiche di questo manuale.

3. Utilizzare un altro cavo HDMI per collegare un dispositivo di visualizzazione HDMI alla porta di

4. Accendere il dispositivo sorgente e il display per completare l'installazione.

Oltre alle operazioni di installazione descritte sopra, questo Extender può anche fornire il segnale audio

de-embedded dalla porta AUDIO OUT da 3.5mm del ricevitore. Se necessario, collegare un altoparlante

Risoluzione dei problemi

Lo schermo non viene visualizzato

Si è riscontrato che vi sono differenze significative nelle lunghezze/tipi dei cavi e persino nelle porte

d'ingresso utilizzabili su differenti brand di display utilizzando risoluzioni HDMI 18G 4K@60Hz. Se si

dovessero riscontrare problemi, si prega di seguire i seguenti passaggi:

 Controllare che tutti i cavi siano inseriti correttamente nelle rispettive porte come mostrato nel capitolo

"Installazione".

 Provare un diverso tipo o ridurre la lunghezza del cavo HDMI in ingresso e in uscita a 1m (suggeriamo

di usare cavi HDMI High Speed non più lunghi di 2m per risoluzioni 4K60Hz).

 Per molti dispositivi HDMI può essere utile scollegare e ricollegare il cavo HDMI per riavviare

l'handshake e il riconoscimento HDMI.

 Ridurre la lunghezza del cavo Cat.6/7 usato o usare un cavo di qualità superiore.

In 2006 the European Union introduced regulations (WEEE) for the collection and recycling of all

waste electrical and electronic equipment. It is no longer allowable to simply throw away electrical and

electronic equipment. Instead, these products must enter the recycling process. Each individual EU

member state, as well as the UK, has implemented the WEEE regulations into national law in slightly

different ways. Please follow your national law when you want to dispose of any electrical or electronic

products. More details can be obtained from your national WEEE recycling agency.

Informationen für private Haushalte sowie gewerbliche Endverbraucher

Hersteller-Informationen gemäß § 18 Abs. 4 ElektroG (Deutschland)

Das Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz (ElektroG) enthält eine Vielzahl von Anforderungen an den

Umgang mit Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten. Die wichtigsten sind hier zusammengestellt.

1. Bedeutung des Symbols „durchgestrichene Mülltonne“

Das auf Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten regelmäßig abgebildete Symbol einer durchgestrichenen

Mülltonne weist darauf hin, dass das jeweilige Gerät am Ende seiner Lebensdauer getrennt vom

unsortierten Siedlungsabfall zu erfassen ist.

2. Getrennte Erfassung von Altgeräten

Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte, die zu Abfall geworden sind, werden als Altgeräte bezeichnet. Besitzer von

Altgeräten haben diese einer vom unsortierten Siedlungsabfall getrennten Erfassung zuzuführen.

Altgeräte gehören insbesondere nicht in den Hausmüll, sondern in spezielle Sammel- und

Rückgabesysteme.

3. Batterien und Akkus sowie Lampen

Besitzer von Altgeräten haben Altbatterien und Altakkumulatoren, die nicht vom Altgerät umschlossen

sind, sowie Lampen, die zerstörungsfrei aus dem Altgerät entnommen werden können, im Regelfall vor

der Abgabe an einer Erfassungsstelle vom Altgerät zu trennen. Dies gilt nicht, soweit Altgeräte einer

Vorbereitung zur Wiederverwendung unter Beteiligung eines öffentlich-rechtlichen Entsorgungsträgers

zugeführt werden.

4. Möglichkeiten der Rückgabe von Altgeräten

Besitzer von Altgeräten aus privaten Haushalten können diese bei den Sammelstellen der öffentlich-

rechtlichen Entsorgungsträger oder bei den von Herstellern oder Vertreibern im Sinne des ElektroG

eingerichteten Rücknahmestellen unentgeltlich abgeben.

Rücknahmepflichtig sind Geschäfte mit einer Verkaufsfläche von mindestens 400 m² für Elektro- und

Elektronikgeräte sowie diejenigen Lebensmittelgeschäfte mit einer Gesamtverkaufsfläche von mindestens

800 m², die mehrmals pro Jahr oder dauerhaft Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte anbieten und auf dem Markt

bereitstellen. Dies gilt auch bei Vertrieb unter Verwendung von Fernkommunikationsmitteln, wenn die

Lager- und Versandflächen für Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte mindestens 400 m² betragen oder die

gesamten Lager- und Versandflächen mindestens 800m² betragen. Vertreiber haben die Rücknahme

grundsätzlich durch geeignete Rückgabemöglichkeiten in zumutbarer Entfernung zum jeweiligen

Endnutzer zu gewährleisten.

Die Möglichkeit der unentgeltlichen Rückgabe eines Altgerätes besteht bei rücknahmepflichtigen

Vertreibern unter anderem dann, wenn ein neues gleichartiges Gerät, das im Wesentlichen die gleichen

Funktionen erfüllt, an einen Endnutzer abgegeben wird. Wenn ein neues Gerät an einen privaten Haushalt

ausgeliefert wird, kann das gleichartige Altgerät auch dort zur unentgeltlichen Abholung übergeben

werden; dies gilt bei einem Vertrieb unter Verwendung von Fernkommunikationsmitteln für Geräte der

Kategorien 1, 2 oder 4 gemäß § 2 Abs. 1 ElektroG, nämlich „Wärmeüberträger“, „Bildschirmgeräte“ oder

„Großgeräte“ (letztere mit mindestens einer äußeren Abmessung über 50 Zentimeter). Zu einer

entsprechenden Rückgabe-Absicht werden Endnutzer beim Abschluss eines Kaufvertrages befragt.

Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit der unentgeltlichen Rückgabe bei Sammelstellen der Vertreiber

unabhängig vom Kauf eines neuen Gerätes für solche Altgeräte, die in keiner äußeren Abmessung größer

als 25 Zentimeter sind, und zwar beschränkt auf drei Altgeräte pro Geräteart.

5. Datenschutz-Hinweis

Altgeräte enthalten häufig sensible personenbezogene Daten. Dies gilt insbesondere für Geräte der

Informations- und Telekommunikationstechnik wie Computer und Smartphones. Bitte beachten Sie in

Ihrem eigenen Interesse, dass für die Löschung der Daten auf den zu entsorgenden Altgeräten jeder

Endnutzer selbst verantwortlich ist.
